5661 Bullard Ave
New Orleans, Louisiana 70128
The ladies were kind, gentle, and took care of business. Any questions were answered knowledably. Clean. The ladies " techs" washed each station after use. Great job folk's!!!
The center at 5661 Bullard Avenue in New Orleans has a high volume of donors, but is grossly understaffed. Today I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen by the screener. I wasn't able to donate because I waited too long from the backlog of people. Why ask us to set an appointment if your location can't honor it? Everyone is friendly, the facilities are clean, and the plasma collection team is very knowledgable, but unfortunately, you've lost me as a donor because the wait times are too long.
They say u have to make a appointment to come.. but no one EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE SO U CAN...I CAME ONE TIME AFTER CALLING..NO ANSWER.. AND WAS TOLD NO CAUSE I DIDNT SET UP A APPOINTMENT I SAID NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE.. SHE THE STAFF MEMBER SAID U JUST HAVE TO KEEP CALLING UNTIL U TALK TO SOMEONE..WTH
I've never has such a frustrating time trying to do something good for others. Donating plasma has a lot of personal meaning and I go far out of my way to make time to do so. I went by this center twice in the last week and each time there was something tiny or senseless that had me walking right back out the door. The first time I came by, I didn't realized you had to schedule an appointment. I had spent over an hour of my time traveling the center, did not have bus fare back and would have understood it w
This place has gone down since the last time I donated there a year ago. I went in and after sitting there for 20 minutes I over hear a few staff members that are suppose to be grown women talk about a donor who came through the door. Your job is to get the customers in and out but when it's a group of women I guess they have no life but to be messy and miserable. I left without even donating not because of their actions but the fact I was sitting that long and there were very few people in the front lobby
these ladies work their asses off despite being understaffed. I'm so impressed. everyone is so polite and they aren't letting anything get them down. I'll definitely be back!
I just left from there i went sometime in 2021 and came back this week i went on tuesday and again today. when i came in i asked how much i would be getting and they told me $100. after giving plasma the lady unhooking me said i was getting $100, i sat in my car and waited 30mins and still didn't get anything so i went inside to ask what was taking so long and a short guy tells me im only getting $40 he went in to the computer and changed the $100 to $40. if i knew it was only getting $40 wouldn't of done i
it's 9:30 am,and not a single person in this place is "busy" why is no is picking up the phone?????
Donating for the summer has been fun.Come save a life! The passport challenge really made donating more interesting if you miss the opportunity to save a life and have fun stay tuned the next summer passport to win...
No complaints, friendly environment, very informative about the process of Donating
This place is unorganized the staff is rude I made an appointment and they had no record of it Miss Re Re is the best .They need to get it together you are only as good as your staff.
Terrible experience every time I come staff is absolutely horrible. Not the ladies up front they r awesome the ones n the back
Very helpful place, that help you help other. Very nice ppl, good time to yourself & special when you help save lives of others
If I could give 0 stars I would do just that I talk to a lady on the phone at 2:30pm and said if I could come in at 3:00pm she said yes I could I get here the gentleman at the front desk tells me they are booked for new donors I'm not understanding yall close at 6:00pm that is three hours before closing. when you call from google there is a automated service person that tells you you can make an appointment before they pick up. So me still trying to work with them I said well look can we set an appointment
This place is awful the staff is extremely rude, I've complained twice to management and he's no help at all, I was even Threatened by a staff member because I was I been waiting awhile to be taking off the machine and I had a pain going up my arm. I will not be going back there and I will contacting the Better Business Bureau on this location.
Needs to be shut down. Staff will make u suffer bc they clearly hate they job. Long wait times are not worth the money and there is one particular female who is sticking people any kind of way. These employees are either untrained or just really dont like their jobs. Either way they are hurting people mentally and physically. I hate this facility.
Everytime I go?i?d be here for hours! They always seem to have a new system. They do pay good but it would be nice to get paid for sitting in vitals and waiting area if they take longer than 30 mins to process you.
I was a first time donor and was told by the staff that after I successfully donated three times I would receive $150 on the third donation. I successfully donated three times and only received $100. I called and got an explanation why. I will not do it anymore because I can't expect one thing and get something else whenever the management makes a change. I'm due what they promised but can't do anything about it. Otherwise the staff was very professional and pleasant. I was very comfortable..
Very Clean and well kept. I always see maintenance person properly sanitizing all necessary areas. My only flaws are that some of the staff are too relaxed which makes the wait too long. Check in computers are broken often. Otherwise, very friendly and helpful staff.
Don't go here. I will have yall be contacting the board of health and anybody else I need to contact. I've notice yall accept anybody and not caring about the safety of those who that plasma has to go to . Wrong completely for this faculty to be doing such a thing .
When I first started donating it was great but lately it has been horrible. There is not sense of urgency. I arrived at 9am and it is now 11:30 and I'm still waiting in the lobby to be screened. They is one person screening and 6 others just standing around. Y?all need to hire more people and make sure the new people actually want to work
Please don't waste your time going here!!! You will be waiting forever, every time I come to donate I am usually waiting 2 hours before I even get into a bed. The staff needs to be better trained, you have to call them MULTIPLE times just to get your funds loaded on to your card. Don't waste your time coming here there are other places in the area with better staffs and better payouts and in safer areas.
All of the workers at Biomat in New Orleans are amazing. They go above and beyond to help me whenever I come in. I believe the ladies deserve an incentive for working as hard as they do. A lot of people don't realize that the ones that are helping them are usually working extra hours because some thoughtless fellow employees wanted the day off and left the rest of them to cover their job. So please be thoughtful of them
Very clean. They pay better than other centers in the area. However, the intake process is flawed. Fingerprint scanner frequently doesn't work, causing the donor to get pushed back behind multiple other donors. This makes for VERY long waits. Other centers in the area you can do survey questions & simply scan your phone upon arrival ensuring keeping one's proper place. Also, trying to find out prices for weekly donations is apparently a matter of national security. Not the case at other centers. I would pr
Thee SLOWEST most UNORGANIZED plasma center I've ever been to. You will spend 3 hours here minimum no matter what time you pull up. The center opens at 8am, I got here at 7:55AM and it is now 8:30am and not 1 nurse has arrived for their shift and not one of the donors have been called 30 minutes into opening. I have tried coming at all times of the day and there has never been a time where I've gotten out within 2 hours. Its also common for them to call you to a bed and FORGET that you're there and not ho
The best crew is Bullard crew. They are loving and they all are funny. They are welcoming and understanding. They took care of me when I had to go to the hospital for my Own reasons. I'll continue to go
No complaints, Beautiful experience
New patient intake is way too long. I was not allowed to donate because I wasn't hydrated enough. It's frustrating, but I appreciate that they're concerned about their donors well being. But what makes it more frustrating is that my information that was entered into the system on my first visit was erased because I didn't donate on the first visit. So now if I still want to donate I have to go through the two and a half hour intake paperwork again.
I really appreciate Biomat for the extra help and helping others who are in need. That is always a plus. I also wanted to acknowledge the staff in the back of the house. They work hard and are very patient while making all the donors feel comfortable. Rachelle, Domonique, Kiara, and CiCi are all good at what they do, and I really appreciate the way they make each experience as a donor as comfortable as possible. There are a lot of the staff I am just not familiar with their names, but they always make my t
The only problem here is the wait after waiting a 1hr for screening it takes 2 more hours for them to actually call my name to get ona bed I get that people is in front of me and theirs going to be a wait but the beds be empty I saw at least 8 bed?s empty while the crew members laughing and joking the longest I been here was 6 hours longest I ever been at a plasma place at I walked out 3 times n just went to another center at CSL plasma the wait time is only 2 hours on a busy day they don't play around I
If people would stop donating for $40 (which is insulting) they would have to offer u more for ur plasma. Hospitals typically charge patients $300 to $3,000 per liter for these lifesaving liquids. And companies use plasma to develop FOR PROFIT drugs and therapies. They make all the $$ and its ur precious plasma! STOP LETTING THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF U!
Great staff, and convenient location. Definitely recommend :)
Hello everyone. I started going here to Biomat Usa in November my issue is that the sitting time is from 30 to 45 minutes wait before donating. On my last visit there I had to get stuck twice and in both of my arms two different young ladies cause me to get dust blood now I am afraid of getting stick. The young ladies were both new on the floor and had no concern for me and how i was feeling. They gave me a powerade and sent me on my way. I donate because it makes me feel that I'm saving a life. But i shoul
Always have a great experience everytime I go. The staff is very professional and helpful. I recommend people to come here
Grifold experience has been a great opportunity to help save lives. The medical staff is very kind and helpful. I thank them for all their hard work.
I love getting rewarded for saving lives. It's a very long wait , a few hours to be exact. I'm getting extra cash/rewards and making a difference at the same time. Hoot Hoot
Very friendly staff and great customer service although short staffed at times they have hard and dedicated workers who try their best.
Almost always an enjoyable experience donating here, employees caring and friendly..only problem I've had is sometimes it's extremely crowded and there's a long wait to to get through the process
Everything they said in person could have been said on the phone
Absolutely the worst plasma donation site in Louisiana I suggest that nobody donates plasma dislocation. Dislocation is absolutely filthy and the staff is unprofessional.I don't even think they deserve a one-star review don't take my word for it visit this location yourself.
The staff is friendly, kind, and caring. Even under some of the extreme consequences, they still try to make you comfortable.
Best ever I'm a frequent donor so they know me the remember whatever issue you may have had and they try to tend to it only thing they tend to forget you in the medical Cue from time to time (like today ) but I'm patient as long as it's not over 30 min again
I went in to Biomat on Bullard a couple weeks ago & was HONEST about my prescribed medication, which I know for qma fact that I can absolutely donate while taking it. They told me I needed a consent from my doctor
THE MOST RUDEST UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE EVERY, HAD A WORKER GO ON BREAK AND COME BACK DUCKING AND HIGH AS HELL, TRYING TO STICK ME A THIRD TIME, PULL THE NEEDLE OUT WITH BLOOD PRESSURE CUP STILL TIGHT, BLOOD WENT EVERYWHERE, AND GIVE YOU CARDS TO COME BACK WHEN BLOOD PRESSURE HIGH OR LOW BLOOD WITH EXTRA CASH BUT DON'T PUT THE MONEY ON CARD, LONG WAITS NO WORKERS, JUST AN EMBARRASSMENT!
My experience at Biomat USA is always professional. I'm treated with respect and professionalism. I would recommend everyone to donate at this facility.
Very clean environment with friendly and helpful staff. Its nice knowing that my plasma will help others and it doesn't hurt that I get compensated as well.
Pleasant place to donate. The employees are very hospitable. So many people come sometimes the wait is long.
Good people good experience like the fact that they are helping at a fast rate love the environment
Need more employees. To make the wait time go faster! An they need to give more then $40, when they get much more!
Very nice staff, big center with a lot machines, opens everyday and very good pay! 100% recommended
Never answer they phone and they be sit right there
I enjoy coming cause the staff is very friendly and professional. I love the vibes.
Hey first when I stared going I was only going for the cash until I did some research and learn more about why it is good to donate plasma and also the staff there is awesome.
This is the best place , and very helpful. It's worth the wait and I like the friendliness of the staff .
Kind staff with endless patience,I would recommend it for the staff alone but getting compensated doesn't hurt.
I seen the review that Jonathan Ruffin post and I went there and got the same five star service save a life I did
I noticed that they haven't been having the staff to handle the load that they're getting longer wait times
I love the way they server is , they have good service, they helps there customers.
Everytime I come everything is good the staff are good people and I never have a problem
The best center that I ever donate plasma, good staff and good machines! Thank you grifols and biomat for making the plasma donation being something so easy and simple to do!

The bestAlways come to those people they will get the best money
I enjoy the free wi fi works every time I donate.
You have four ppl in the lobby and it's still slow.
They allow donors to treat their employees with disrespect. Totally unprofessional.
I love it here Everybody is so nice and respectable
Help saving lives matter and I been learning alot with this giving experience
Very chill place ,the workers always making me smile .
It's a nice welcome always nice staff
Kind staff. As experienced and educated as they are beautiful!
The phlebotomist at this facility are lazy all they do is stand around and talk
It is truly a peaceful environment for a good cause.
Very nice staff an clean place
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
