Cierra is an excellent healthcare worker with a warm presence and a professional attitude. She's efficient, knowledgeable, and makes the initial part of the process?sticking the needle?quick and almost painless. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and takes her work seriously. That said, I've noticed (and heard from a few others) that the needle removal can be a bit rough. It tends to cause more discomfort than expected and sometimes leaves more soreness than usual. A gentler touch during t
1-Star Review: Concerning Experience at Grifols/Biomat Norcross** After years of donating plasma at Grifols centers in **Utah without any complications**, my first visit to the **Norcross, Georgia location** was deeply disappointing and concerning. 1. **Poor Medical Execution**: - The staff failed to properly insert the needle, resulting in significant **infiltration, swelling, and bruising** (photos attached). - When attempting to return blood, they missed my vein **a second time**, exacerbating the inju
This company is a rip off!! They keep changing their pay scale seems like every couple weeks you think you making a certain amount and almost ALWAYS make less I went to another center for my first donation then came here to get my second same company and they reassured me that I was going to continue the promotion just to come here and get 50 bucks because apparently they didn't honor my promotion because they changed it one again smh then they'll tell you their weekly promotion starts on a Monday so if you
I had a great experience with kyle at grifols Medical center. He has an amazing personality that instantly puts you at ease, and you can genuinely tell he cares about the people he interacts with. He's professional, friendly, and someone you actually look forward to seeing during your visit. Kyle is definitely a standout member of the staff-an all-around great person. Highly recommend
I wouldn't recommend this plasma center. The donation process is incredibly slow. I came in as a new donor today, and it took over two hours just to get to the donation chair. Most of that time was spent sitting around, watching staff walk back and forth without much happening. The payout structure is also disappointing. The first two donations pay $100 each, but after that, the pay drops significantly. The next week, you only get $50 for the first donation and $70 for the second. So the only real promo is
I've been coming to this plasma facility for a while now, and the only reason I keep coming back is Meya. She is absolutely amazing! Not only is she incredibly skilled and professional, but her personality and character are what truly set her apart. Every time I see her, it's a pleasant experience. Meya makes the whole process enjoyable, and I genuinely look forward to my visits because of her. She's an absolute gem, and I can't recommend her enough!
Samples take too long. And noticed they treat people differently with that hotel being across the street. I just got out of phlebotomy school, I was tested 2-3 weeks before hand since I knew people were going to be ?sticking? me. If a sample was needed, nobody should have to wait an hour plus for you all to say you get $10. Yet I did not receive anything. You all also lied and said you all are testing for my protein THATS ILLEGAL AND SHOULD TELL PEOPLE YOU ARE TESTING FOR STDs!! Compared to other places, yo
I arrived @7:45 am. I can see employees walking around. Enjoying personal conversations. Two of I know saw me, they stepped inside door in front of donation station. I said hello at 5 times. Then an annoyed young lady approached the counter as if I was bothering her. I explained a card was left for me, it was taped to the counter. She gave it to me. I completed the questionnaire. Was given a error message. A young lady approached the counter and said " we are not accepting new donors." I replied " I am
I dont understand why you make an appointment only to wait for an hour to be seen. They only havr one person doing intake and the staff is standing around talking instead of assisting the people that come in. Extremely unprofessional .... if I didn't need the little money they offer I would not be here...
I have a wonderful experience everytime I visit. These three associates named Pearl , Giselle & Dalal always kind to me everytime I come in. They do their jobs fast , friendly and effectively.
Years of believing in plasma, this GRIFOLS location is on POINT!! Im a Performance Manager++, ... point? From The delightful MANAGER always running Her show with a smile! This reflects within Her Staff Ive experienced. From the Nurse to, PEARL, who talks the talk & walks Grofols code of conduct professionally, from front to back. Her skills are truly magical!! I recommend this facility looking for the real process experience. USN VETERAN
I got the pleasure of having vitals taken, as well as being taken off the machine by Mary. I have to say, I really like the way she works! She was very friendly and informative. I told her that they have trouble getting my blood pressure to read and she gave me helpful tips such as making sure they are using the right cuff and placing it high enough on my arm. Then at the end, she took me down and counted down, one, two, three, before removing the needle, which most people do not do. Those simple pieces of
The experience here is always great! From the front desk to the there is always a good vibe and helpful staff in here. Nae , Pearl and Trina are the truth as well as the rest of the staff they all deserve raises! You are educated on the process of donating and they are available for any questions you may have. I also like how you are pushed in directions to choose a more healthier life. Come check em out!
There is no room for rude employees ! Managers seem to be desperate so they aren't disciplining them. I guess donors should take it into their own hands then.
this place is filled with a bunch of lazy weirdo staffs , who the hell tells someone over the phone that they are still actively doing donations after you explained to them you are taking a ride share to get there ? and just for you to spend your last to get out there they tell you they are short staffed & that they arent accepting anymore donations .. fast forward you get them to accept you just for them to make another excuse stating they can't do your donation because of a red flag from another plasma ce
Grate Customer Service! Staff Is Very Friendly! Thanks For Having A Great Attitude While At Work!
I'm a fairly new donor at this location, but every visit that I've had has been quick and pleasant. The staff are always in good spirits and the experience is made so easy thanks to their ability to do their jobs well.
It's cool there and it's fast..And u get in and out..Bri..Peall..Good a good job getting u in
Called Friday. Told new returning donor rates would be updated on Saturday. Called Sunday. Iman told me they won't give out rates over the phone. I haven't donated at this location in over 2yrs bc of this. I am not driving over to find out compensation. Shows they have zero value for a donor's time. Won't give rates over phone. Turns out it is pointless to make a new donor appt online. (So they should disclose that on website) Told multiple different stories. They just don't have their act together.
Pearl was amazing and always has been when I show up
They NEED to be more mature and careful about their job because they are the absolute opposite. Christina, someone that's a part of the staff says to me after feeling GREAT pain in my arm ?don't have too much problems over here because I'm trying to get out of here? as if it the customer who is in pain fault! That you guys injected a needle in! Wow just disgusting! Now for instance does say someone start to feel real big pain now they're scared to say something because YOU told them to not have complicati
Was not greeted and they literally were making fun of me. I understand people have problems, but at least be respectful and meaningful. Only thing I wanted to do was donate and help others.
Apparently when you schedule a 3:00 appointment on a sunday you are considered booking late. Well if 3:00 is too late maybe Grifols shouldn't have that time to book on the app. I called because after my donation on Sunday i was not compensated until Tuesday morning. When i called their response was if you come in on Sunday late you will never be paid that day. Also they are closed on Mondays. luckily i had money too hold me over you never know what someone is going through people need their money after thei
Great staff very polite and respectful while being friendly and professional.
I really wish I could rate this facility as a zero star for the simple fact of I went in to make my donation. Everything went fine. I finished my donation process I'm waiting to be compensated. I get out to my car called my card. There's zero dollars on my card I called to see what's going on for one. I have to call 12 times to get ignored 12 times. I finally called from somebody else?s number they answer on the first ring. This location is not professional at all!!!! stay away !!!!! beware???????? I finall
The current employees there are PROFESSIONAL and nice. I hope they stay. All plasma centers that I have gone to have become too loud, grumpy, and and unprofessional. Surprisingly, all the employees here were friendly.
It's all about about them making money and not the people who are donating and risking their health and time. Today was supposed to be my second donation as a new donor. I got there at 3 pm and went through check in and screening just fine. After I waiting 2 1/2 hours to get on the donor floor the man that attempted to put the needle in missed my vein several times and kept adjusting making this VERY painful. My other arm does not have good veins so no point of trying. After all of this they did not compens
I was skipped ...and the phlebotomist..was laughing because of that...I have seen this place actually hold the donation money over ppls head..that is very sad..very unprofessional...I'm here to help save lives ...not for the money...if your not friends with them then your treated badly..I will not suggest anyone to donate here.
Very unprofessional they had me start a hour into the process just for there apparent lead tech to ?vein check? and then said were going to say dehydrated for 24 hours.. how can you tell if someone is dehydrated by putting a rubber band on there arm then where she placed the rubber band for the vein check isn't where most centers place the rubberband to do the vein check I knew something was off when they tried to turn me away I then spoke to there manager who was absolutely no help and unprofessional becau
The female employees are Amazing! But I must say I feel the hate from the male employees. The Asian guy coughs and sneezes on the blacks. He doesn't change his gloves, and lacks communication skills. Just giving a heads up to workers and customers. When I return I'm requesting a female to stick me, they are more gentle and skilled at there job. Other than that, its an amazing place. It's about saving lives with our plasma, keeping these wonderful ladies employed and for people like us to get compensation!
My experience has been great. The staff is friendly and patient. I've always been greeted by a friendly staff and the wait is very minimal. One particular phlebotomist (Jody) greets me all the time. She remembers me by name and always has something nice to say. She not only greets me with a warm greeting, but I see her giving a warm greeting to all of the patients as well. The patients seems to cling to her great personality. She makes me feel comfortable with the procedure, and checks on me often to make s
I read the comments And I could say they did good by me. I never had a problem. I've donated 6 times there so far. They could pay more, but that's about it.
They almost never answer the phone, and even when they do, they still won't tell you anything and force you to come in and waste your time. The donation beds seem old and the machines do the cycles weird so it takes forever to donate everytime. Phlebotomists are okay, but some stick very bad and leave bruises and can't find the veins
I've been coming to this place for many years. Can't really complain too much, everyone is always friendly. Would recommend. Every place has an issue here and there, but overall it's a good place.
Super pleased! Been going 5 months and look forward to donating each time. Facility is very clean and the staff is amazing! I know that if I get Erica, Jenna, Miguel, Issac, or Heather things will be great and some laughs will be had to make us more comfortable. Whole staff is great though, very professional and work well together.
This is sad. I stopped coming to this center once they started randomly dropping the donation fees and the only way you find out is after you have already donated - imagine that. You have it calculated in your mind just to schedule a appt and take time and energy out your day to go through the process just to end up with a different fee than what was promised. So I went to freedom plasma which has the best payouts in atlanta do your home work. Today I made the mistake of coming back to this center and every
Phlebotomists are cool but the front desk staff is HORRIBLE. I kept showing them that their website does not work for check-in and they continuously grabbed my phone with my sensitive information in it and were tinkering around with it behind the counter like I'm a child and don't know what I'm doing. It was so wildly inappropriate and felt violating. They have the nerve to have a security guard point their fingers at a clearly posted sign that I could read without any help. If this is how they speak to ne
I've been coming here for almost 5 years and the staff here are extremely friendly and supportive it get crazy at times but god is good staff like Ms Pearl Ms Misty Ms Dayshia BigNae and company
Some of the staff are professional. Center is clean. BUT they are SLOW. Only go if you have TIME to spare. Answered the questions from the app before I got there. Waited 20 mins to have vitals done and another hour wait before I was called back to donate. Mind you, there was no one in front on me in the waiting area.
By far the worst experience I've ever had donating plasma. I donated at multiple centers over the span of 2.5 years without any issues but my FIRST donation at BioMat and I get a massive hematoma. I finished the promo bonuses and left, only to get a text for another promotion after having not been for several months. I decided to return and went through the new donor process, only to receive $40 instead of $100 (new donor fee). I contacted management and was told it would be fixed, and that I was a new dono
Terrible. They are notorious for having 'technical difficulties' with the pay system and needing you to get another card that you have no choice but to pay $2.50 out of the little money thy pay you. This is the 4th time they did this to me and it is extortion at its finest. They are taking advantage Of people through paperwork and Systems . I recommend freedom plasma center. Better pay and treatment.
Have never had any issues as the staff has always been great and pleasant to deal with. Yeah you might have to wait a little longer at times but you know what? You're getting paid to donate and your helping someone so get over it. It's your choice to come in. Thank you all for a great experience and hope you all have a Blessed and Happy Holidays.
They are to slow.. You wait 30 minute before your vitals are taken in 30 minutes more before you get actually put on the donor floor. So it's our way before you even get to the donor floor. Then you sit on the door on the floor for up to 25 minutes before they actually hook you to a machine. Employees are nice but the wait is too long.
Not a bad experience. Everyone is nice. However, they stopped taking appointments, which I think is a bad move and going to deter a lot of people from donating. My time is precious and I can't sit there for hours and hours every time I go. Bring back appointments!!!! I would have given 4 stars, but now with no appointments it's 3, maybe even deserves two for that!
I'm a Donor and everything is fine as far as after u get to the back ..but my problem is why have a appointment and be 15 minutes early like it says but they call u 30 mins after ..front in is not really fast but love the place just need to work on speed some of us catch busses ..just don't get why make a appointment
This is the worst plasma donation center I have been to so far. The beds are uncomfortable. Staff has to re-stick and adjust the needle constantly and act like its your fault. I donated at csl for over a year and never had any issues, two hours start to finish worst case. Biomat regularly takes 3+ hours. My last visit I was told that they had to take a sample of my blood and they would pay me 10$ and then I could donate again when it comes back. I told them I was returning to csl. Waste your time if you wan
I would give 5 stars bc usually they are time efficient. Since the scheduling went down, it's a free for all and wait times are excruciating. This establishment lacks a team work mentality. There was one "sticker" left at the end of the day with maybe 12 donors that have yet to be "stuck". Two or three other staff members AND a manager left and they wouldn't help her, they stood around watching her. PLEASE hire people who will do what it takes to help customers/donors. There's no reason that donors should s
Front desk is horrible, ghetto, and extremely unprofessional. The only phlebotomist I trust is bri and I have only donated twice. I had a male phlebotomists the second time and he ruptured my vein! He stuck me in my left arm, and blood started spilling everywhere, all down the chair, on the arm rest, and on the floor. Which he didn't even clean up properly smh. Blood was still on the arm rest. I then seen Bri and begged could she do it! So she did the right arm. 2 hours + passed as I am walking home I took
These people are not qualified for what they do. On multiple occasions they bruised up my entire arm sticking the needles all the way through my vein and if you piss them off they will put you on the slowest speed so you're stuck there for three or four hours when everybody else is doing it in 1 hour. I will never go there again. It's not worth dying for.
Love this place!!!! It's clean and the most of the staff is friendly! I had a few bad experiences. One of them being where a lady stuck the needle in my arm and held the needle in my arm while she looked for tape to tape the tubes to my arm. But it wasn't cause she was unorganized that bothered me. She was socializing with the others and laughing and moving the needle around my arm. It was painful and the moment I said "ouch" she looked at me and said in a sarcastic voice "Oh am I hurting you?" I'm literall
I've visited this center a few times and each time has been pleasant. Vanessa is always a joy to be around. She keeps my spirit high when she's poking my finger. Madison was very pleasant and helpful. He is one of my favorites!
I love ADMA ! Ive been coming for about 9 months & most of the staff is awesome, especially the phlebotomists Madison & Edwin. They're always a joy to talk to and it's a great and fun environment to be in while donating. From personal experience I recommend coming here over other plasma centers; you get your money fast & they're usually pretty quick with erring people in and out. You'll be donating for at least 30 or more minutes so bring a book or your phone etc to keep you occupied!
These people are totally unprofessional and not sympathetic to any circumstances period. Their mentality is do what I say or get out. Let me explain. Went to donate this morning upon walking in they say sir place you head here for a temperature, I replied in uncomfortable with scanning my forehead and I'd be happy to use a regular thermometer. To verify my temperature. At that point was completely ignored, as if I wasn't there. Asked for a manager and was further ignored. Thank god there are other plasma ce
I've donated all over the country with multiple places csl, biolife, plasma centers 6 states 12 locations and by far this one is the slowest most unprofessional staff with half of the staff can't even see the labels on our charts and the other 40% don't care to be there. Yes 10% are worth keeping but the rest id let go or move them to roles that don't evolve having urgency or quality control. 3+ hour waits your better off going to the other 3 locations I mentioned above people. Hope this helps someone. You
Staff is extremely incompetent; and unenthusiastic about what they do. Make sure the payment process is working before you donate. I waited over 3 hours for my payment. Good thing I wasn't destitute; like some people who donate and need their money as soon as they give them their blood!
I was donating at the Marietta location. I transferred here and it's a lot better. Everyone is friendly and kind. One of the staff left the company early in my time there, she was my favorite (She is super sexy and amazing as well). Still a great place to come and donate.
I love coming here everyone is nice and friendly they make sure you're comfortable with the procedure.
I absolutely enjoy donating to this facility. Everyone here is very friendly; especially Madison. He always asks about my day & the experience I have at Adma. You can't forget about Ms.Jody, she is like a mother to me & I love her dearly. Erica is my absolute favorite person here & I hope she doesn't leave anytime soon because, she is the only person I allow to stick me with a needle. I thank everyone here for all the love & respect they provide to all of the donors. Keep up the great work.
U have a young lady by the name of Jewel that is working for your company who has a very disrespectful attitude. From the very beginning she had an attitude you could tell that she did not want to be there took her 30 minutes to unhook two people and she got an attitude with me and I told her that she needed to learn how to be more respectful and I got to add to back and she told me she would catch me outside that is not a very responsible and respectful way to approach your clients and I would hope that yo
I give 5 star's because of Emanuel, Cameron, Jody the phlebotomist. But the management there is deplorable, their rude to customer's and from what I've seen rude to their employees. I can't imagine working for them, as you can see it's not a team friendly job place. I was so ecstatically happy to hear Danielle finally left. In my 42 year's of seeing customer service she was the nastiest individual I had ever come across. I pray she takes a work from home job because she's not fit to be around anyone breathi
This place reminds me of MEPS or an Army reception battalion. Cold, boring, and interminable waiting. The employees were friendly enough - the phlebotomist was very affable. I gave them this poor rating because I waited around 4 hours and endured much poking and prodding, only to be told I couldn't donate without my doctor signing off on it because I was taking pain medicine for spine problems. They refused to make any effort to speak with him, despite me offering to call him, right then and there, on his p
The first couple times I came they were awesome over time they liked to play around too much then they act like they can't find veins if they aren't visibly popping up the staff was nice ,but they joked a little too much. I have never had any problems with my veins until I came to them I had bumps where I was stuck by the needle causing me to stop donating for 2-3 weeks without being deferred I was watching out for my own health. They made me lose blood 2-3 times did not even attempt to return it. I will no
They will make you redo the new donor process over and over and over again with no new donor pay due to their staff losing samples. Went about 5 times and did the new donor process 4/5 times
Figured I would try to make a few extra dollars and I was screwed by the managers here. After donating all month the last day of the month I was not allowed to donate because of a scheduling conflict that was not explained properly. I asked the manager if he would retrain his staff and he called security on me. Bad business. That additional $135 would have been great.
Phlebotomists and intake staff are uniformly professional and competent. The facility is well run, an excellent operation.
This location needs to be closed. They only have enough man power to stick 5 people at a time and all there equipment needs to be replaced. Got pressure cuffs and fingerprint scanners that don't read. Plus with 2+ hour wait times they should be providing snacks since they know people should only donate within 4 hours of eating.
I had an amazing experience. I was nervous but Madison walked me through the process and assured me that the process will go smoothly. Also Bianca played a big part in my experience made me smile and laugh which also made it a good experience. I will be back soon!!!
I've never seen a center move soooooooo slow! Plan to be here about 3hrs! The workers move so slow and they just talk and play. They have even changed the sign in procedures and now they have to read you questions that takes an extra 10 minutes! Wait maybe a month from now because they are still training and SUPER UNDERSTAFFED!!! Like common sense would say train outside of busy business hrs. Management probably needs some work. There is no sense of urgency at this place. They could care less about your ti
I love all of the employees at this plasma center! They're all super welcoming and kind, which is very comforting when donating. Sharon did my new donor physical and she is seriously the best! She explained everything in thorough detail and made me feel at ease despite the extra precautions due to COVID. My first two donations I felt a little lightheaded and Sharon was there to help and get me through it. She always makes sure I'm taken care of and asks if I need something to drink while donating. Her kindn
I've been going here for years and it has its ups and downs as far timing and being understaffed. Ms. Mikki especially is always pleasant to be around. She always greets me with a smile and great energy. She's awesome!
They didn't feel like processing a new donor today so I was told to return tuesday cause monday is busy as well. If yal dont do yal job and stop sending people away. What kind of business does that?
I wish I could give this place 0 stars and i'm mad that I even have to give one but I will never come to this trash can ever again... I'd never knew that asking a question would get me so much attitude... After a dispute Unnecessarily with one of the fake Phlebotomist I have not been back there since. I will never tolerate disrespect or poor treatment by people who should make you feel as comfortable as possible!!!
I have heard excellent reviews for this location and I'm in town to visit my parents a good bit but my regular center is Athens. However I have question that keeps coming up on taking other customers, are the payments the same across these facilities?? I'd heard that Gwinnett pays more and I would understand cost living but may come visit this location rather go home early and cut my trips early. Thanks so much hope we you soon!
I began donating plasma at ADMA in January 2016 and have rarely missed a week. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and always makes me feel welcome. I cannot stress enough how pleasant my experience with ADMA has been.
I have always had an extremely warm and relaxing experience at this location. The flabotomists that inject the needle are very gentle and I never feel a thing. There are several flabotomists that are outstanding! Nahal has great precision and she is very personable. I always feel at ease when she is there. Then there is Alizon who has a fantastic personality, beauty and awesome sense of humor. You never feel a thing when she injects you and she will make you smile with her quick wit. Then there is Humphrey
I was helped by nurse Sean he was extremely professional knowledgeful helpful. Courteous kind and I had an extremely pleasant experience at biomat because of him he is a part of an interstellar team but I think he's the star you really showed caring and concern and professionalism
This place is awful. Slow rude staff, every time I come here donors are upset about something and arguing with staff. Two times I came donors had to be helped by a nurse because they were about to faint. They blast rap Music with cursing. Take forever to hook you on the machine. Just terrible!
Always friendly. Like family ??
I went here by accident but I was happy I did. My GPS took me to the wrong plasma center but when I arrived the center wasn't busy at all. I was a new donor. I finished the orientation, physical and donation all in about 2 hours. I enjoyed the staff they were very welcoming. Thank you all!
I had my first visit this past Thursday. I ate around 1pm, arrived at 2p. Long process of questions, paperwork, and physical....I did not start the plasma process until around 450p. About 45 min into the process I get a reaction (nausea, faint, dizzy, claustrophobic) It had been almost five hours since I had eaten! The staff was great with helping to calm me down (I thought I was dying!) & make me comfortable. My 2nd visit was 2 days later and I was able to use the kiosk which only took about 5 min or so.
I love jasmine I really hate that she not there anymore But Bre and Traci and shay are some bad lady?s they get down everytime I come in I enjoy myself with them ! Oh yea this Jay not mike I'm on my bf account lol !
The people there were super nice, the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is for lack of information. I couldn't give plasma simply because they didn't have enough 'spots' on their form for all my piercings/tattoos. No where on the website did it say you had to be under a certain number. I have not gotten anything new in well over a year but that didn't matter. It has to be under 22(combined) for anyone curious.
Every time I visit, the place is very clean and the staff is always polite. Madison always makes me laugh. The screening staff is always speedy and accurate. I've been coming here over four years. Thanks ADMA in Norcross!
I just donated and was supposed to receive $100 but was only given $92.91. The woman who worked at the front desk today either didn't know what she was doing and is a new worker or she pocketed the extra money i was supposed to receive. I have proof from my accounts that i was only given $92.91. Never had this happen before and I'm an existing donor. Something needs to be done and this needs to be investigated because who knows how many people this has happened to. I should be compensated for the funds i di
An associate there name Cindy was super awesome and nice!!! Always smiling and making me feel welcome every time I donate. She reminds me of the Chic Fil-A workers, always there to help and feel comfortable. We need more Cindy?s in the world. Give her a raise please!!! If she leaves, then I'll leave. PERIOD!!!!
I'm not very happy with this place right now cuz every time I come one day I'll be fine then the next day I come there's a problem pay them a heart rate is too high or something like today I'm thinking about going to another plasma center cause it's always something there and the money always drops every two weeks and it's getting to where it's not worth coming there because the amount is getting so low and like I said always something there the one I went to over a year ago I never had any problems
I've been coming here for about 2 years now. The process is pretty fast paced and every one is pretty nice. The eailer you come in the quicker you'll be out, if your in a rush. In the front sometimes it's a little to loud for me but when I get to the back I feel right at home. Daly in the front is wonderful, anytime I have questions she's always ready to help and with a great attitude. You rarely see that these days. She's very gentle when getting my vitals, kind, informative and focuses directly on me. I r
I am a donor who has been donating plasma for well over 2 yrs at the Norcross Bio center. Recently, I had a very negative encounter with Phlebotmist Danielle. While waiting to donate, I was called to the back by my last name, Brown, and assumed it was me so I proceeded to the donor chair readying to donate. About 15 or 20 mins past when Danielle opened my folder and told me it was someone else that should have come to the back. She was very rude, left me sitting there with no apology whatsoever as she w
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
