Grifols Biomat USA Phoenix, AZ

Grifols Biomat USA Phoenix, AZ

Reviews Summary

Mixed reviews with notable extremes. Many praise the friendly, efficient staff and clean facilities, particularly highlighting quick, painless donations and good compensation. However, frequent complaints cite long wait times (often 1.5-4 hours), disorganization, unprofessional behavior (rude staff, inappropriate conversations), and inconsistent service quality. Some report painful or botched needle insertions. While loyal donors appreciate the atmosphere and specific skilled phlebotomists, others vow never to return due to poor management and systemic issues. Cleanliness is consistently praised, but operational flaws overshadow positives for many.

Customer Reviews

So I have been calling all day different hours of the day & I Called 6 times today an nobody answered the phone I have a appointment I booked for tomorrow but after reading all these reviews an I couldn't get not 1 so called staff to answer the phone I think I am gonna go to a different location because I don't wanna deal with any rift raft. It is just unprofessional as a Business to just let the phone ring all day an not answer? what's the point of having STAFF IF NO ONE EVER PICKS UP THE PHONE?

In my personal experience, this facility lacks professionalism and should be avoided. The customer service is non-existent and the staff is extremely unhelpful. It is nearly impossible to get through to them over the phone, and when you do, they are uninterested in addressing your concerns. Overall, I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I love this location!! all of the phlebotomists are very kind and conversational, pleasant to be around!! Huge shoutout to Frank, he stuck me last time and was very quick and courteous (i was shocked, legit didn't feel a thing!). the man's clearly an expert, yall should seriously give the guy a raise!! 10/10 every time I donate, it's quick and easy!! :)

Never had a problem donating. Now all of a sudden they said anyone with a red 1 vein as in only one vein is no longer allowed to donate and was told to go to different center and they now say I need 2 good veins. Tired of being lied to by staff. Waste of time and gas.

Staff are great but they need to do more to fix their machines. Recalibrate machines now this always happens

The phones go unanswered, you can hear it ringing throughout your appointment, its so annoying. Plan to be there at least a half hour before you want to start. I was scheduled at 10:45, checked in right on time, but didn't actually start the process until 9:30. Every single time I go there is always a wait so make sure you don't have other things going on when you schedule.

Disgusting, depressing, and disrespectful. Called twice and nobody picked up. Scheduled an appointment online and showed up on time. Waited 20 minutes and not a single employee came to the front desk, even when the phone rang 3 times. Place also looks filthy. Don't waste your time; there are better donor facilities in the Valley!

Went there for the first time and staff was extremly rude. Kept telling them blood pressure thing was way to tight on my arm. Arm was going numb and they insisted it wasnt to tight. After three hours of being there and at this point they were completely ignoring me i finally snapped and told them take this off of me. Lady just about threw bottle of gatorade at me and told me drink this and then leave. When i went outside i felt really dizzy so i went back in and told them i cant drive i feel dizzy. No

Staff was rude and I never recovered from the first time I had went over a month ago. One of the staff stabbed me so badly that I can still barely open and close my arm. I was told that the people who draw our blood aren't don't even require and phlebotomy training or anything to do this. So essentially, some person off the street with minimal training and experience was allowed to poke my vein. Even after the hematoma went away, I still have this pain in my arm from the first time I was poked over a month

I came in today as a new Donor and when I had to get a vein check it took 15 min for someone to do my vein check the lady that took me back there yelled vein check and everyone that was working in the back looked up but no one came to do it.. it took for someone else to come from there office to come do a vein check? and to make things clear they were not busy and they were making any excuse in the book to not check my veins? the employees in the back are definitely not professional? waste of time to even c

They seem to be more respectful then that other place. It took about maybe an hour or so and I got paid ?? However the area is a little sketchy.

This place used to suck and the waiting times were horrible but they have improved so much and stopped over scheduling.

Would be 5 stars if not for specifically one staff member named Ann Marie who is always rude and will waste your time and trip for any minor reason and give you inaccurate information(done this twice to me now) just to give you the run around and especially if it's your second time donating in the week bonus. Very unprofessional, and unpleasant to interact with. Will be reaching out to someone in a higher position or transferring centers if no solution can be found. And as for the other staff and is overall

The bad thing about this place is that they don't train their employees correctly. Every time they poke you wrong and the give you bruise you are at fault and won't be able to donate for weeks, sometimes months and you won't get a anything from it money or nothing it becomes your fault the hat they don't know what they are doing . Sucks ???? it's been more than a week I called there number to talk to them about the accident they told me to wait for them to get back to me and 13 day's later and no response,

Treated like cattle. Lowered the payout and the wait is even longer, as if they aren't making insane profits on our life saving blood as it is. Update to app is garbage, l signed in early, so she removed me from the list without telling me, let me wait an hour then told me to start over. I wouldn't use this location unless you absolutely have to. A few of the staff are great, the rest treat donors like we are a hassle. If people weren't desperate for cash this place would not be in business.

By reading all the comments above, I don't agree 100% . I have been coming here for a couple of years now, I'm always really patient, respectful and kind to all staff and never have a problem. Waiting times are long sometimes due to, yes, short staffed sometimes, but other times because people should be highly hydrated before coming in to speed up the process but they don't; we need to be here on time and a lot of people is not they walked in with her QR code ready and scan it after hours causing a delay fo

Never answers the phone when you go in they all wanna chat chat with one another and take their sweet time coming to the desk, hardly anyone is at the desk. Then most of them don't know how to properly poke you, always makes you leave with battle bruising. Maybe like 2 are good at poking like Bella & haven't caught the other girls name I known she is into sports. Other then that will leave blood pressure cuff on you and have it so tight and your not poked and they just walk away to tend to another person, w

I don't like fact I got there and your first visit would be 100 then 75 your next 4 time we'll that never Happen never got the promotion

3/4 soap dispensers broken, sinks to wash your hands all over building with broken soap dispensers, drops of blood on floor of donation area, told them, no one cleaned it, meanwhile employees laughing and chit chatting every time i come here

Needles hurt, at least a little bit. But Nikki was so skillful that I had no idea I'd even been stuck. The location is convenient and most of the staff seem rather approachable and nice. I've been going for a while. I definitely recommend.

The stars are for the one or 2 people who are nice at the front desk and always having clean bathrooms, wifi, and AC and the actual plasma withdrawal is usually easy if you prepare your body properly. However, I don't waste time trying to go there. I have not been able to make an appointment. I called to have them fix that but if I do get a hold (RARE) they want me to come in. Why am I gonna waste my time? Last two times I went in they wasted my time and I still could not donate due to their mistake.

All of the employees are very nice, however Angel is excellent! Every time I visit, he is always carrying reception and doing vitals while still having the time to help new donors alone. He for sure needs a raise!

Don't waste your time. First time donors , expect to sit here for at least 5 hours . Even as a regular return donor , I don't understand why they do appointment times because you'll sit here for an additional hour before they even check your vitals to make sure you can donate . Then once in the back , they move your seat about 3 times , and wait another 20 minutes to actually poke you and get started . Employee's here move super slow , as if they don't want to be here . Apply somewhere else if u don't wann

Had a wonderful experience during my time screening with Anne Marie. She was really nice...Very efficient and thorough. My time from the kiosk to the bed was under 15 minutes. I was greeted warmly by O'Donna, Trinity, Ms Diane and Vanessa. I love coming to this center. I used to come for the money but now I come just for the familiar faces and friendly atmosphere.

Griffols is by far the best place in Phoenix to donate. I've never had a bad experience. It's quick and easy, no waiting in line for hours. And it's never painful, like at some of the other places. The staff is amazing! Trinity and Diane and Ann Marie, and all the others. Are very knowledgeable and professional as well as kind, and easy going. There's always a conversation or a laugh going around! And the compensation for your donation is decent and there's always a gift card to win here and there. I've fo

Great place to donate The compensation is great. Most friendly and helpful staff

Very nice facility. clean fast to donate

I absolutely love the energy of all the employees. I swearrr he's going to hate me that I forgot his name!! Buttttt he's the only one that has been hooking me up since ive been there and i gotta say CONGRATES ON EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!!! Yay!! ?????? Thank hun for always making my day ??

I drove here three Different Times the first time They told me after i'd set 445 minutes to that. My veins were not hydrated enough. OK, fine, so then I drive and come the 2nd day, and they tell me after I've said. And waited that they apologized. They're not gonna be able to see me today because of the time and give me a card for a twenty dollar bonus, an Incensive to come back. So now I'm on the third time. And I'm here and I got here at 1:30. It's now 3:13 PM. on your website. It says that you closed at

Now I know why I have been reluctant to come back and donate in this center. They are very understaffed. They only had one person for the initial blood test. I have been sitting here for half an hour waiting for someone to poke me. A total of 1 hour wasted from the time you get to the center to the time the process of donating plasma stars. And that's on average, sometimes it's longer than that.

li try to be fair and patient but that isnt sonething that i get in return. 4 visits uuyu? uyuoneq1 of the new girls ripped the needle out of my arm and i started bleeding everywhere.they cleaned most of it up. they kinda apologized and now its been three more times they have used the same excuse all after the new girl went ruahing thru and now i have to pay for her mistake.

Great center. Always stays clean. Staff is friendly and provides great service to the donors. The compensation for plasma is very fair. The kiosk process where I answer 29 short questions is very quick. The staff handles the intakes very quickly. Especially when they are busy at times with few helping hands. That being said I think the staff are very hard working individuals. They are pretty efficient. I wanna thank Nathan today for getting me through the booth and out to the donation floor. He's always in

Angel is very professional and thorough! Go Angel! Had a great experience at your shop. Also, shout out Phlebotomist Matthew! Very professional and good at his job! I didn't feel a thing. I'll gladly return guys. Thanks for a good experience.

Long waits 1.5-2.5 hrs to get to the back to start the donation, even with appointments. Staff not very organized . Will usually sit for another 10 to 40 minutes in the back, before we even get needle inserted. Staff calling off often, quitting. On prior visit in May, Novice staff breaking sterile technique and supervising staff said nothing. Machine broke halfway and got deffered for 45 days, even though it was not my fault. I don't understand why they don't shut down or reduce appointments if they kno

So I had a appointment with grifols on 19th ave Phoenix AZ and they made my next appointment for June 28th 2298, like come on why 2298 why do I have to wait that long from the current 2024 I'm done with grifols everything about your company is a huge scam you don't have people properly trained to stick a needle in a arm you refuse to answer calls and when i ask to speak to a manager its oh there not here GROW UP GRIFOLS YOU AND YOUR COMPANY IS A JOKE!!!!

CSL better so is BioLife. The place is clean and bathroom always clean though soap not always working. Most of the people upfront always seem upset or one little girl in particular always pouting or having an attitude. She is grown but her attitude is that of a teen. Most forget they are at work and talk about things people shouldn't speak about at work. They look at donors as people who need money so respect is not due. Unprofessional to say the least. Profanity, filthy language and conversation happens

If I could give 10 stars I would!! I love the staff here they always make me feel so welcomed! I moved here and had to switch centers from out of state and they made it so so easy! Anytime there's a problem Brenda is there with a solution ASAP and let me tell you she's the one you want there!! Crystal, Odana, Phil, Kayla, Juan, Matteo, Trinity, Diane, Angel and all the other wonderful staff thank you guys so much for making it feel like I'm just hanging out while donating - makes the time go by fast and fun

The staff is very efficient. The whole process is in and out. Feel everything is much faster than other center. Love the express kiosk, I can complete the survey in my own phone. Tyree who works in the donor screening is very friendly and kind.

I have been here since 8am it is now 11:23am and still not processed as yet. This location needs more staff. Me and my daughter doing a favor by coming to donate for one of the staff members. We were there for over 3 1/2 hours without being seen. Don't understand why you make appointments when there is no staff to keep up with appointments. If someone is donating plasma or blood it should not take this longer. This will be my last time ever donating. Very unsatisfied with procedures. Need better Manageme

I've been coming here for a year, however you'll never see me or my girlfriend come here again. My girlfriend just left AGAIN after coming in yesterday to be told "the doctor isn't in and we have to correct your account".I don't know how many times she's come in and there's something wrong. We've told them multiple times and tried everything in our power to be on the same page, but they wouldn't care. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, 1-2 hour waits just to be seated to get the process s

I come here twice a week. The money is great, but the people are even better. Brenda has the best customer service there. She is knowledgeable and always has a nice word for you. Stay awesome Brenda. Already looking forward to my next donation.

Love this place, staff is friendly and I love that I can make an appointment and walk right in. When i first get there Tyree and Ann Marie check my vitals making sure i am healthy and prepare me for the next step. They make me feel special they are the sweetest! ??

This is the worst location I ever been too , I transfered from another location and never had problems at that location , compared like I do at this location I always have issues when getting my blood drawn they train these people and they don't know what their doing ,last time I went the guy didn't put the tube correctly and was bleeding out for like 7 min before he even noticed, and had to wait 2 months to draw blood again.then the other time i went same guy did my arm and he could not find my vain and a

Everyone is very nice and helpful. Tyree is always very helpful with tips on iron rich food since I really struggle with anemia and often have to comback the following day but he's a great fit for the front and always in a good mood. Nathan followed up with a fast and informative time getting me started on my donation

I've been a donor since 2018 and I can't find anything negative to say about the staff and the building. It's always clean, the staff are always nice and welcoming, also always smiling. I don't know about other?s experience. I can't speak for myself and my experience. If you're a donor you should definitely check this place out.

This particular location is very good because the workers are kind informative and nice. Every time I go there its a very pleasant environment. So I would like to give a big shot out to Justin, cici, Odonna, Matt, Brenda, Ann Marie as well as Eva, and Lily, as well to the rest of the staff. I give a big golden 5 star rating to these individuals thanks you guys... Asa

If I could leave a review with no stars I would. Went to donate with my fiance just now, both our first times and we were completely ignored by all staff. It was completely unorganized. After standing there for a half hour waiting after our appointment and still being ignored we left.

Would no longer recommend trying here if you are considering donating plasma. I have edited my review because they have cut staffing and increased wait times to be screened to over an hour. What should take at most 2 hours takes 3-4 hours on average. Some of the staff is getting rude and it's a completely unpleasant place to be. (Which sucks because even though you are required to have an appointment and check in EXACTLY on time they make you wait in the lobby for over an hour. Unacceptable treatment at t

This place never ever answers their phones..they want you to make a trip so they can tell you something that they could have told you over the phone so you can avoid a trip. I wish every donor would boycott this place by treat people like we are despicable. If everyone would stop donating for a month they would see who really owes who! This is the worst plasma donation center ever.

I've always had a good experience at this location. Brenda is exceptional with her care for us. She never fails to have a smile on her face. I have recommended a few people to come donate at this location. Five stars. Good job guys ??

Don't come here unless you have PLENTY of time to wait. There's only ever one person running check-ins. It's incredibly slow. No one who works here seems to enjoy it. The phlebotomists are not experienced, most sticks take a few times pulling the needle in and out to get right. It also takes forever for them to unhook you once you're done. Seriously, why set an appointment? Checked in over an hour ago. BioLife and Octapharma are both much better.

I have been donating for over a year now. I find the staff very friendly and helpful. There are 2 ladies that work there that really stand out. Nessa and Trinaty. They really make donating fun. I really enjoy their happy, upbeat, and professional demener. They both have been very helpful a.

There is never anyone at the front desk and their service is always slow they give you an estimate of longer wait times when you're a new donor. I'm considered new because it's been longer than 6 months now I remember why I switched to CSL plasma. I've been sitting here for 20 minutes they are not busy and I'm just waiting kinda confused is anyone going to come to the front desk. If I did not have a 50$ bonus card I would leave. I assure you Andre my 2nd visit I won't be back

Everyone here does an excellent job making sure donors are comfortable and well cared for throughout the donation process. The waiting area is comfortable, and they're always playing music or movies on the TVs so that donors don't get bored. I highly recommend this center for plasma donation.

I just called twice, and both times the reception desk answered than immediately hung up on me. rude as heck I'm not happy ?????? But when I go there it's usually a pleasant place.

Upon coming to the plasma center on Indian school, the personnel were very accommodating and determine to make sure I donated. They were very courteous and were as prompt as possible despite the center being quite busy. They apologized for my wait and they checked on my frequently for comfort.

I am a regular and I have been donating at this location for a few years. I have had the privilege of knowing some of the personalities of the staff and they are extremely organized, hardworking, awesome and amazing people. Especially, Brenda, she is very relatable, easy to talk to, non-judgmental, calm and a relaxed person. She is super cool.

The 19th Avenue center has a fun, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable staff. They offer prompt courteous service, in clean and comfortable environment. A great place to help those in need and get paid to do it!!!! It doesn't get much better.

I love the staff very kind and I won a grill there management is very helpful especially Veronica and Howard Cee C Juan James odina vessnsa keep up the good work your doing week after week I recommend this spot to everyone say I sent you as my plus one this is Blueford

I never leave a review since everyone at the plasma center is awesome and I never have a problem. Well today was little different, usually when I come in or anyone come in we are welcomed. Today I guess was different, you didn't get that happy or welcome vibe. It's already hot outside so how the two female employees talked to me I didn't appreciate that. This incident started at 1:28 pm and again at 1:30pm. I will not mention neither one name as I will not put them on blast but if you know then you know

Biomat USA/Grifols (sometimes Talecris) is a fantastic organization in terms of providing a meaningful service to make therapies and medicines while compensating those who give their time and energy (and, well plasma!). My friends and myself have gone to this center on and off again for many years?and while a decade ago it was a bit tougher to get in for your first appointment or two, it has only improved in every way imaginable?even the parts that were already excellent and efficient. Other similar service

I was hesitant to donate my first time, but the staff has great customer service and are very helpful. I've been going for a little less than a year without incident. Deanna is one of my favorites! She's super nice and personable, not to mention excellent at her job. I would recommend Grifols to anyone looking to make some extra cash!

I've been going to this place for almost 2 years and I love it and the employees my husband and I go all the time because of the environment and the employees. Will always come back here even if we move far away this is out location.

If you donate at this biomat ask for OD she knows what she doing

Oh my where should I begin. The staff here is incredible they are all very helpful. I've been donating here for the past 3 or 4 years, never had an issue. I do want to see bonuses come back. And please give that young lady Brenda a raise she's always going above and beyond. Thank you Brenda for your help.

4 hour wait because they have a meeting and no one can be in the front office while they are in a meeting apparently. When you call to make sure what docs you are needing no one answers the phone it rings and rings and rings Management is incompetence in time management is why I decided to take my donation elsewhere. They make the process stressful and almost impossible. The staff themselves are friendly

I have not had a bad experience at this center. While sometimes the wait is long because they do not do appointment times, the employees have always been nice. My favorite is Lesslie...she's always been very welcoming and kind. They also play movies which is a nice distraction as you're donating. I give 4 stars due to location and sometimes long wait times. All in all, I can't really complain because I'm getting paid to sit and donate by choice.

Customer service is good, the employees are nice but the company all together is all over the place. They always switching systems which causes them to not be able to find your information and short you on donations. Donating already takes a good 2 hours now imagine how much more time it takes when they have systems issues. Not to mention the phone be so busy so if you have a problem you have to actually drive back up there. Overall an unpleasant experience . If you need money desperately donate plasma, if

I have donated there 3 times now with no problems. The staff are very nice and i am in abd out in less than an hour. I like the fact that there is an armed security guard there at all times. I get paid pretty well and watch a movie while i donate. I feel like i am contributing to the betterment of the medical field and i use the money i receive to pay off a couple bills. So far it has been a good experience for me.

What an amazing team they have. It was beyond busier then I've ever seen it on memorial day and Kalia, odana, trinity and angel really held it down. I was shocked at how fast I was able to be seen, considering the fact that they seemed like they were over booked. They were just amazing. Lisa was amazing and was very helpful. Made my donation experience amazing.

My first time experience was amazing. I was so nervous and expected the process was going to take at least 4 hours. I provided all of my information and Pamela walked me through the process. She explained everything and made me feel comfortable and I was out in two hours. You can tell she has been doing this for a while and I know I can't be the only person that think she is amazing. Thank you for your kind words and the greatest experience for a first time donor.

The staff here were friendly but the wait time for new donors was quite ridiculous. I waited an hour and half before being called back for my medical screening. The entire process took 4 hours which was not communicated initially. There seemed to not be a sense of urgency with the process which was frustrating. There were times where staff members were waiting around for their colleagues but not working together as a team to support one another. The friendly staff was the only great thing about this place.

Absolutely worse most ridiculous plasma donation that doesn't help their donors they make it impossible to donate even when you bring all necessary requirements such as proof of address. Joke of a plasma donation that doesn't let people donate plasma. They are also racist against homeless people donating, even though I'm not homeless, anyone who is don't even try to donate they will turn you down because apparently homeless people are not human enough or good enough to donate plasma like other human beings.

This place is awesome. They treat me with the upmost respect. If there is ever an available spot to go in early they allow me to come in earlier than my appointment. I come here twice a week and they do a great job always. Shout to Brenda, James, Lilly and cliff. Juan and lisa where very helpful everyday thank you.

I started donating at the Grifols in Casa Grande where they are more organized, more experienced and definitely NICER customer service. These people here are so disorganized and even speak about everyone?s business including their own, like we all want to hear about it. I donate cuz it's a good source of income when I need it, it also saves lives. But if I am constantly being moved around in the back once I'm seated, if I'm waiting another 30 mins to get hooked up by someone who is INEXPERIENCED, then I wil

Been donating here for 3 years on a consistent basis. Know most of the employees by name and they're all friendly and work hard. Haven't a single bad stick or negative reaction, so just stay hydrated and trust what they're doing!

Nice and clean facility. Brenda, lisa, and Daniel are wonderful employees. They make my visit as fast as possible always with a smile on their face. They are very professional and always pleasant. All of the staff are great overall ??

So far horrible experiences. No not cares about us donors here. Called several times.. and I mean several just to go straight on hold. No one picked up to say could you please hold oh no, just put straight on hold for like 30 minutes until I finally spoke with the manager Alicia for her just to say she'll make sure the team knows better?.. not impressed. Maybe going back to Csl

The staff here are awesome, most of them. Tyree is very caring and goes above and beyond for the clients and Phillip helped me by keeping my arm from hurting more than it already was from the stick. One of them sticked me and it hurt like hell and everytime she would touch it trying to fix it it hurt so bad and Phillip helped and took the needle out of my arm and i didnt feel a thing. Thanx guys! And all of the staff at Grisfols 19th ave and Indian School Rd

If you schedule an appointment in the afternoon, expect an hour wait before you get in the back. I schedule an appointment at 4:45 and at 5:30 I'm still waiting for the pre screening! Crazy why schedule an appointment if I can't get in for an hour.

I like the staff here they have real individuals who talk to you and can relate to you. I'd like to see some of the bonuses come back like buddy referral. Great staff and center. Brenda does a great job at everything she does.

I've been coming to Biomat on 19th Ave for about 6 months. The staff is lovely! Angel, Matt and Trinity always make it an efficient and pleasant visit. I would recommend others to come here and donate :) 10/10

Machines suck staff no help. You'll be stuck on the machine for 3 hours

Fast and quick. Would of gave a 5 but the staff personnel "BLUE" needs to check her attitude. Rolling eyes and aggressive behavior is not necessary. U don't like your job, QUIT!! Screener very polite and nice...

Plan to spend 4-5 hours there on the slowest time. They ask for proof of address but when you show them 5 different pieces of mail with your name on it its not good enough. But don't worry they still let you do your first one. Just don't expect to do the second one, they gotta throw it away anyways. Then just go down like a mile and go somewhere else.
