Customer Reviews

Against my better judgment, I ignored the previous review hoping it was a one-off experience. I was sadly mistaken. Several of the phlebotomists do indeed use a pen to mark the venipuncture site. The woman that helped me was too distracted joking and speaking with the clients/patients in neighboring beds, and was disorganized and rough when sticking me. My median cubital vein in my left arm is the most pronounced and typically where I get blood drawn due to its accessibility. Due to her not paying attention

Great staff! But the company sucks. The pay card rips you off for fees galore!! The lab sucks, I was a regular donor, I was cleared to donate and that day they took a sample per regs. Next trip I am told I did not have adequate leves of protein iny blood? That means I was cleared to donate and they took plasma while my protein was too low. Or the lab sucks. Either way better options in portland oregon. Their loss. I actually had blood work done the same day by a real doctor. No issues So I am betting they j

Only give 4 stars cause place may be kinda small. Besides that this place is solid. Been here a few times and the team members there are a good mix of new and older team members. They do a lot and are efficient and try their best to take care of people. Donated today and Nicole absolutely owned it! Hope the staff all know they handle business ??????

This was my first time donating plasma. I was hesitant about going in thinking it would not be clean and not sure what to expect. I had such a great experience here from when I stepped in the door. People that have donated before helped me do what I needed to do to get checked in. Then when the staff came up and walked me through the process they were all so kind, fun and helpful! I seriously could not believe how everyone's attitude was kind and seemed upbeat and happy. Working in an environment like this

I went it for my first donation. The screening process took a couple of hours but the donation process goes very quick. Unfortunately i got sick while donating (i didn't eat a hardy enough breakfast & i have low blood pressure) but the staff were so so kind to me especially Colbey and a woman phlebotomist. They really made me feel ok about what happened and helped monitor me with a lot of care until I felt better. Amazing staff and super clean!

Everyone working in this center has a good attitude. Everyone is very positive.

This is the best place! It is scrupulously clean, their protocols are of the highest standard and, most importantly of all, the staff are amazing! Without exception, everyone is friendly, incredibly professional and adept at their jobs, and they all take the time to know clients and connect with them. I genuinely look forward to donating because I will see some of the nicest people I have ever met. I appreciate that they have firm guidelines, and if i ever get deferred - for low protein usually - they expla

Only chose 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. The check in process was very good, thanks to the new employee training there. Because it was my first time donating plasma I brought my sister with me just in case something were to happen. It all went smoothly until the blonde guy came in and brought us to a room to talk. He was concerned that because English wasn't my first language I wasn't going to understand the whole plasma donation process. My sister and I ensured him a thousand times that I could unders

The staff are always helpful and punctual. I have enjoyed the extra money during the holiday season. I get paid right after donating.

Great place to donate plasma! The facility is clean, warm and welcoming. The staff are always super nice and patient and they make the whole experience very easy. Especially Nicole! She is incredibly caring, attentive, and always super nice! She is a pro at poking and makes sure you are taken care of 1000% at all times. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who wants to donate!

Be extremely careful most of the people are nice, but they're some who are extremely woke. I asked about the color of my plasma and she freaked out and said you can't talk about color here. My intent was literally asking about the food I ate and why my plasma seemed darker than normal, and they terminated/deferred my account. Pls try communicating not projecting. If there is an issue, document what was said so it can be addressed immediately.

Good luck donating plasma for the first time because you think it's a good thing to do and having a little extra to pay off a credit card also doesn't hurt. The front office staff here will treat you like the scum they think you are and leave your dignity in shreds for the sheer power tripping thrill of it. I have a feeling other companies are a better option. Medical staff seemed perfectly wonderful. Spent almost 2 hours here, the first 1.5 hrs being mistreated by the front office and the last 15 mins or s

I have been going here for about 2 years now and they have always shown great professionalism, cleanliness and respectful. Very informative and they make sure I have a smooth and fast donation. Ask for Dee, I always have a painless and easy donation when she's working.

Super pleasant and attentive staff. In and out in less than an hour.

I've been donating here for about a month, and out of the three places I've donated in my life, this is by far the best one. The phlebotomists are all very skilled and knowledgeable. They should honestly be paid way more. To shoutout a few: Dee, Etima, Nicole, Micheala, and Mark. If your thinking about donating plasma, I would suggest going here.

I actually feel bad writing this review because in a lot of ways I would give this place 4 .or 5 stars. The staff is well trained, friendly, make the process much less stressful. I did encounter a small compensation issue, after contacting them and the head office it was taken care of. I recommend them, they do a great job. ****I wanted to update that everything was honored and they did compensate me. You can trust they will do the right thing. I think realizing the nature of the area and the potential fra

I love comimg here to donate. Everyone is nice and has answered any questions I had. The facility is very clean and accommodating. Some days are super busy and you do have to wait even with an appointment but if you ask a worker what days and times are usually slow you can plan your visits to be in an out within an hour.

WARNING NO PROMOTIONS FOR JAN OR FEB AND NEXT WEEK PAY GOES FROM $40 AND $85 TO $40 AND $80. YOU WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED WHICH IS MISLEADING. ****Update its now $50 and $60. So it's steady dropping also the new app is broken you can set apt but can't reset password for kiosk on the app, you get text messages with broken links and accidentally sent texts.

I have been donating here (off and on) for many years and I commend the staff for their friendly attitudes and hard work. This center used to have VERY long wait times years ago but now the center operates much better and seems well organized. Yes, they may be short staffed occasionally (it happens in any employment) or training a new staff member, which means the trainer will be taking their time to properly guide, so one may have to utilize patience or maybe one of the staff might be having a rough day (w

They are so nice there! I wouldn't go anywhere else! Never had any issues & always done in about an hour! It's convenient, easy & staff is really nice & considerate !

The Holgate location is the best to me. I've been going regularly for a couple years now and honestly I wouldn't go anywhere else. It's clean and they make you feel comfortable. 5stars!!

My first time donating and I was nervous but the people working there are so nice. Before, during, and after donating everyone was incredibly kind and helpful.

In 2019 I came here. I filled out the tattoo/piercing body map and gave the dates I received them (I have about 23, some of which are very old, but I tried to recall the dates accurately), I did the verbal health screening. During my health screening, the man asked me a question at the time with medical terminology I didn't understand at the time. I told him I didn't understand and asked him what he meant, and literally began asking if I was on drugs. I told him absolutely not, but stated I do have a learn

This Biomat is always trying to adapt and improve and that's what I like about this place. People here are mostly nice and always trying to improve. Just wish we had better pay or bonus. It's been hard to win the raffle prizes they offer here. Overall so far it's been decent ??

I had a wonderful experience donating plasma at Biomat USA. The facility was clean and comfortable, and the staff members were friendly and helpful. I also found that Biomat USA paid more compared to other options I looked into. What stood out to me was how clean and well-maintained the place was. It made me feel comfortable and safe during my donation.

Love the staff! Love how friendly, professional, and fast my experience is every time! Shout out to Brissa, Dee, Lena, Trinity, Claire, Marie, Matt, Victoria, and Angel! There are even more of you that have been incredible, I'm sure! I've never had a bad time :) Thanks for always being excellent!

A truly professional staff. Always bursting with energy and positivity. I especially enjoy conversations with Joe. He always has a smile for me. The employees keep things moving even when it is busy. Top of the line medical staff and their phlebotomists never miss their mark. This is a well-run center.

I have always been treated respectfully and the employees are very professional and friendly. I have always felt welcomed and cared about. There's only been a couple times bonuses took a bit longer to load, but I called and they were quick to fix the problem. There's always hiccups in any service but it's how the company resolves the issues and Grifols-Biomat USA donation center is a wonderful place to do good.

Overall a good experience. Staff are super friendly and make me feel comfortable doing something decidedly uncomfortable. It's not for everyone, especially if you're even a little bit queasy with needles/blood. The payment drops DRAMATICALLY after the first month. There were a few things that I didn't find out until a few weeks after I started donating and had to discover the hard way (if you don't have enough protein they have to send you home w/o a donation, for example) and even after going in a few month

If you want to help others who depend on your donation, but with little time commitment on your part, give them a try. The staff make it a pleasant experience. Trinity is usually my first interaction in the process and she really sets the tone for a friendly, proficient and relaxed appointment.

Good luck if you have stuff to do or if you're in a hurry... Friendly staff. Need better system to get you in an back out the door. Not employees fault.

Was kicked out for ?pushback? when explaining my shades are prescribed for light sensitivity. Hispanic woman was incredibly rude about the whole situation and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone honestly.

If this location wasn't the closest and open the latest in my area, I would have already changed company's to CSL or Octopharma. My problems are with the administrators and the policys here, more so than than the performance of their amazing floor staff at this center. I work full time, so I'm not dependent on the compensation from donations. I'm more frustraited that my time is often wasted. I have on multiple occasions needed information or paperwork completed by some one who is rarely on site throughout

They lied to me and said I would be on the new donor and receive $400 for 4 visits. After my third I was told I'm not a new donor and I received $200 first 2 times and $40 3rd. Furthermore, they treat you like a criminal, will google search your address and ask the most ridiculous questions. I'll never ever use this place again. They're garbage and are going to loose a lot of old continuing donors.

Very impressed with the friendly staff. Peter, Joe, Giovanna and Erinn. I was a new donor and Giovanna explained the process to me and made me feel at ease. It feels good to help people and earn some money.

Very nice ,kind and friendly staff members.

This place is absolutely amazing. I literally look forward to & enjoy my donations so much because of the staff here!!!! Everyone is so kind & makes sure you're OK & comfortable through your whole donation. Plus it's for such a good reason & you get paid for it so it's totally a win win!!!! GRIFOLS IS THE BEST!!!!!

Very friendly and professional staff. I've been going there for a good while now. Never had a bad experience. They've always made me feel comfortable & welcomed.

I really like this plasma center. The staff are really personable and friendly. They are always looking for ways to improve the process to make it faster and more efficient for the people donating which I really appreciate. Some days are just busy but they do their best to communicate realistically with you why that is. Compensation is fair and they are always running promotions you can take advantage of. My favorite one they had recently was like a donation happy hour where if you donated at a certain tim

I loved my first experience at this donation center but upon my second visit. A bald gentleman with a long beard and glasses was very rude to me and other clients. Making it seem as if our presence was an inconvenience for him. Still giving 4 stars because I know this is a good facility but I'd prefer better treatment from the employees.

This place is amazing and the staff is great. They just promoted Samantha to management last month and she deserves it! She and all of her coworkers are polite, and professional. We will continue to donate here for a long time. Keep up the amazing job.

They are usually understaffed and busy. I'm okay with waiting, but this week, they made us wait outside in the smoke about 12 minutes past my appointment time. That is not right. This air quality is hazardous to health. One of the times I waited, the beds were far from full, so this is totally unnecessary. The lady who checked people in didn't seem to care about our well-being at all. Please have more promptness with getting clients in the building.

Be careful that you know exactly what you are expected to get paid. I thought that I was going to get new donor prices but since I donated here years ago, I only get new donor prices for the first two visits. I found this out yesterday after I was denied my delicious Subway sandwich because my card was declined after I had just gotten gas.

The staff are rude, and they act like they're irritated to be talking to you. Their attitudes remind me of how correction officers treat criminals. As a client I expect to be treated with the same respect that I show them, but for some reason they don't see it like that. I would avoid this place and go to telacris plasma center (same company different center), much better treatment of their clients. UPDATE: 8 months later, decided to try this place again, still no change. I made a 9:45 appointment, an

It was the reviews that brought me in, and the people keep me coming back!!! EVERY single visit has been as fast, easy and comfortable as they can make it. I don't think I have ever come across such a CONSISTANTLY friendly and welcoming group of people!!! Thank you for keeping it a great experience!

The staff at biomat are always so helpful and kind. Emily Lee has been the main person to help me out each time I come in and she is extremely professional and explains each step thoroughly! I'll be back !

Been going for years and it's perfect for me As I'm updating this review I can only say the experience has only gotten better and it was wonderful to begin with yester has been some up and downs but nothing with their performance, it only has to do with me and how my body is performing that day Still love it here! Update 2023, I still freaking love it here .

Everyone was super nice and helpful. No long lines. Worth the drive if it's out of the way. The woman who stuck me (I believe her name is Angela) was incredible. Little to no pain which is impressive because my veins are quite difficult.

This is a very unprofessional company. They don't treat their employees well. The staff treats customers like they need the money so they better snap too. My father was a fire fighter and I know the importance of plasma for burn victims. It would be nice if the customer was treated like a customer and not a pic going to slaughter. Percy is the exception, I've never heard of reverse racism but the way he treats Caucasian people is horrible and he is white. Go to another company, Biomat will not treat y

When is the new donor lady that was supposed to take my blood miss the vein so I asked her to pull the needle out so would not scar my arm or leave bruising then she treated me very poorly so I told the front desk what had happened but that I would return another day 5 days later came back to try again wanting a different person to take care of me in the computer that I did not complete the blood draw so they told me they needed to check my veins to see if they were okay to donate take me in the back gal sa

I think this place is literally my second home! Quinn and Angela are amazing!! They always take good care of me (as well as many others) and get us in and out. Honestly, every single staff member at Biomat are amazing and they are always providing the highest quality of care while providing an upbeat donating experience :) I have donated for many years, at different locations across the nation, and this plasma center is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and most efficient plasma center!!! Keep up the great

This place is wonderful! All of the phlebotomists I've had have been superb and knowledgeable! Special thanks to Nicole, Dee, Erinn, and Etima, for always putting a smile on my face!

These negative reviews are silly ??????? i used to donate at the Biomat down the street and stopped because of how chaotic, dirty, smelly, uncomfortable it was on top of long wait times. At this location it's clean, never overpacked, always well stocked, and the staff are so kind. I try to regularly donate twice a week and have never had to wait out in the lobby more than 15 minutes. I have medium/difficult veins because they're thin and very rolly; and after a few bruised experiences w a very specific phle

I've gone to donate a couple times, and both have been great experiences!! My last visit Kat and Sebastian were both really welcoming and efficient, super friendly, and helped answer all my silly questions. Keep up the good work guys!

The staff really do make this place amazing. I've been coming here on and off for the last 7 years and have received nothing but the best care. Shout out to Stefen, and absolute all-star and beacon of positive energy. Thank you!! (And Allegra, Matt, Peter, Gary, Chica, Joseph, Tory and all you other lovely people)

I get the feeling that everyone here cares about the donors and want to make them feel comfortable. They have a clean facility and treat everyone respectfully. The one time out of ten I had a mishap the edema wasn't too bad. Never happens on my left arm and still worth the effort to help someone who needs it.

I was a regular donor here for years. I've seen the staff turn over several times (which is a testament unto itself about this place) but this latest round of phlebotomists and managers are pretty subpar. Most of the phlebotomists are inexperienced and the constant problem of the facility being understaffed doesn't help. Recently, after about 3 years of donating, I was told by the new manager (tall white guy with a beard) that my veins were too difficult to deal with. After 3 years of regular donation my ve

Biomat is clean, well lit, has friendly staff and makes donating plasma easy. It is an all around pleasant experience. Donating plasma is a good service which helps in the creation of life saving plasma products. Help save a life or extend a life. What is stopping you from joining and donating plasma today?

These folks and this place are the best plasma collection facility our fair city has to offer. Each staff meamber is nothing but professional. They all seem to be smiling constantly if possible and interact very well with each other and their customers. Cleanliness is a number one priority as well. The people, with their attention to detail, make all the difference in the world. Great job to all of you!

I'm giving a 4 solely due to the changes corporate keeps making. Why is it that corporate keeps changing things that appear to be working like a well oiled machine. The grifol employees are amazingly nice and compassionate. All of the staff are helpful and always hustling. Claire stuck me today and I didn't feel a thing. I've been donating for years at grifol and I've seen some really good people leave the company because of corporate bs. I'm just a donor but I can be a thorn in your arse.

I had some issues with biomaterials. For three days the manager has been diligently working to help fix the issue. While although the issue could not be worked out first hand I'm very happy with my experience. My husband could not donate like we had hoped. However, when dealing with the manager we were treated with great respect and as individuals not as just a whole. I would go back anytime if that I need the place

While this is the only place I've donated, I have few complaints. My only complaint really was on my first day when someone behind the counter questioned me about my medical history, out loud, in the waiting room. I felt it was very unprofessional. But overall the staff is so nice and they have gotten more efficient over the few months I started coming here. I feel comfortable donating.

Helpful, friendly staff here. I have been a donor at this location for a while. Have seen many great people from all over the planet study phlebotomy here. There is a nice pleasant atmosphere here that feels united. I would highly recommend donating here, especially if it's your first time donating plasma.

I've been a regular for over a year. I've also been to other Plasma Centers. In all, I've been donating for over a decade. Based upon my considerable experience, I have given this particular center the highest possible rating. The staff is super professional, friendly and most importantly, responsive. The facility is immaculate and very inviting. They even have a security guard out front to make sure your car, bike, or whatever, stays safe. Even the clientele this center attracts is superb. That having bee

In the past I have frequently donated for Grifols plasma, the on boarding process to sitting in a seat getting plasma drawn is a little bit of a process but really the only time you need to pull out some extra patience, they pay well compared to most other donation centers I have donated at in the past. I feel like a lot of the bad reviews on here are coming from self-entitled individuals, no process is perfect and at times it takes longer to get through but that is with almost every establishment, the mone

It is crazy slow first visit will take 3-4 hours and about 2 hours after. Most of the staff is somewhat nice but there are a few really rude ones like this asian chick with short hair, she is rude and gives me dirty looks and makes it uncomfortable to be there. You can tell the majority of the staff is not well trained.

Every single time I've come in here I have the same experience. That experience being amazing, every single staff member is so so kind and actually is willing to have a conversation. They make the process enjoyable and easy! Absolutely amazing place to donate ??

It's hard to give this place an accurate star rating because it can be such a mixed bag. I'll start with the good: the facility is clean, normally very comfortable (though can sometimes run a little cold, especially considering that they're pumping you full of anti-coagulants and fluids), and by and large, the staff is pleasant. Their clientele is also usually composed of respectable enough folks. They have streamlined their donation process in the last few months (I have been donating for close to a year n

The Biomat employees are quite knowledgeable on what they are doing and they are keeping the facility sanitized even after the year we have had after the pandemic and the rising of the homeless population. The remain open and are quite helpful. Best place to go to make some extra money for only an hour of your time and you are helping to save others in the process with your donation

I have been coming here over a year. The people are fine. But the set up is slow and out dated. They don't keep up with who was in line first. This happens every time I'm here. They just act like they don't notice you. They Have no hustle when it comes to letting you get out of the chair and leaving. So if you go to any other donation center it takes 2 hours tops. Here I plan for 3 or 4 because the inconsistent wait is a shot in the dark. I don't want to be rude or complain so I'm here. Seriously a slight

I've gone here for the last two months. The staff is nice but they seem stressed and understaffed this maybe due to hard time finding employees to stiffer budget restrictions... that doesn't bother me but I just feel bad for the staff. Seems like they have quite a few rude people comming in I'm sure. The first visit does take a long time though...

I have been donating at this location for about 3 years and it has always had high standards for cleanliness customer service. Even throughout policy changes and sometimes staffing troubles, the people here are helpful and will take the time to talk to you no matter how busy they are.

Was loyal here for about a year and a half. Twice a week would come in even when the return donor pay dropped considerably. I'm going to start going to octapharma instead now due to a few reasons but Some of the staff is very rude . Some reviews on here mention a tall bald man with a beard who is rude his name is John.

I've been donating here for multiple years. The processes have improved the flow tremendously! Every one that works here is so sweet and friendly! Please keep in mind how important your employees are! They make this place run! I love you guys!

First and foremost, any low star posts in the last 6 months are anomalies. Grifols-Biomat has been nothing but professional and thinking about the health of donors. I have had to wait occasionally due to signing up during a peak time to be able to get back for the medical check or to get unhooked when I was done, but I can see the employees working hard to do what is necessary. Sometimes they can't call you back to get through the start process because spaces are full in the back, I get that, I've seen i

Made all all the way to the donation waiting room only for their incompetent employees to tell me that my address isn't within range. I called previously to make sure and they said it was fine. The manager gave me $20 for my time wasted ...wow $20. Worst place ever. They make me wait two hours an answer 500 questions and make us pay attention closely when they can't do that themselves. The incompetence, wow.

Constantly have to call to get your bonuses paid out. I called tonight and was told to call back in 10 minutes if it hadn't shown up. Well I called back 15 times and waited 45 minutes at the bank because they all just went home for the night.... thanks for wasting my time!!! Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that values your time/donations.

The lady at the front this week let me know they are robbing people even more by not offering intro bonuses to people who haven't been in over a year. They make so much off these donations, they could take waaaay better care of their donors.

This plasma center is top tier. The staff is the most friendly and skillful people around! Gary is number 1! I always love coming here to donate because of the people who make it feel special. Everyone here makes it fun to donate with their jokes and playful personalities to help keep it lighthearted while donating. Shoutout to the whole squad (David, Bobbi, Joe, Chika, Stefen, Emily, Max, Logan, Dui, Liz, Allegra, Marie, Trinity, Betty, Anela, Makayla, Britney, Shadoe, Dee, Erin, Tania, Mackenzie, and even

I've been donating here for the better part of six months. The facility is clean, has a big waiting room, offers free wifi to donors, and shows movies all the time (there's subtitles - you can hear pretty well in the waiting room, but the subtitles come in handy when you're in the donation center). The staff is pretty friendly - though sometimes they can be a little curt if they're busy. The wait times can be a little long - one day I was in and out in less than 90 minutes. Yesterday, it was almost 2 hours

I've been coming here on and off for 6 years and I love it, they hire great people and the compensation gets better all the time. To be able to help others and save money for the first time in my life is something I feel very grateful for.

Wow hard to believe this place, sat for 45 min. before they even took my name. Then sat for another 30 hr then realized they called a persons name that arrived long after i did. When i asked why they gave me a totally unjustifiable reason. I knew is wasnt true. When i asked how much longer i would expect to be here they could not guarantee it would be less then 5 hours. All this waiting time in my opinion is lack of good management. I really would like to contact the higher management and inform them t

This place turned me away because I got kicked out of my place and that makes me "homeless". I told them I needed the money for a hotel for me and my pregnant fiance and our two children. They had no compassion and showed no care at all. This establishment is garbage and has no morals. So me and my family thank you for letting us sleep in the street tonight.

If you're going to donate plasma in Portland, this is the place to go! I'm a former donor of Talecris and decided to try out Biomat since they're closer to me and the payout is better. Turns out the overall experience is better too! Biomat not only pays more, but the process is quicker due to the machines that they use, and their employees are just the sweetest. Both times I've been in here, all of the employees were laid back, had a chipper attitude, and were joking with each other nonstop. Everyone gets t

The initial visit takes about 4-5 hours, but every visit after that usually takes no longer than 2 hours. Staff is friendly. I have had no issues when being "poked". People complain about wait time, but don't really think about how much you're making per hour. $70/week for 4 hours of my time is well worth it. You get $50 for your first two visits, that should take care of your wait time. ;)

Super friendly staff. Decently quick on the wait time, just gotta be smart with the appointments. I've donated at Octapharma and Biolife, by far centers owned and ran by Grifols are way better. Awesome raffles and bonuses. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I plan on continuing to donate here. Grifols is a good company.

I love donating here. The staff is so friendly and some are really funny. Angela and Victoria are two of my favorites. They are both always happy and really efficient.

Everyone here is super friendly, really professional, and this potentially dangerous, potentially painful experience is made problem and pain free every time. I wish that I lived closer, but these people always make me feel taken care of.
