This center has been absolutely amazing! The staff is phenomenal and you can tell they take great pride in what they do. Even days where it is absolutely busy, or short staffed everyone moves like water just making sure everyone is taken care of. And wanted to give a shoutout to Nathan (not because we have the same name) he made the experience fun and genuinely seemed happy for what he does. He is not afraid to have a conversation with you while he is getting things set up, and cracks some fun dad jokes as
This is the BEST plasma donation center. It is run so well. The employees are fun, friendly and process you quickly. The center manager has been with the company for many years and knows how to run the center efficiently, has loyalty from his employees and keeps them happy! When things are busy and they get behind, the manager will come and help the donors get out as quickly as they can. I have donated for over 25 years and will continue because of this plasma donation center and its employees.
I have gone to a lot of different plasma centers and this one is by far the best. The staff are knowledgeable and have a positive attitude. They genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs and want to make sure that you have a great donation. I have even spoken to the Center Manager, Creed, and the Assistant Manger, Ryan. They both treated me like a human being instead of just a number. I would recommend this center to anyone who wants to save lives and get paid for it! (They always seem to pay more than any of the
I love the Roy Grifols. The staff is amazing, friendly and in the evening, Megan is the best phlebotomist around. Every week she greets me with a smile, ale mme how I'm doing and makes me feel welcome and in good hands!!
I have donated for 18 months now and love the extra money. It's became like family here. Each and every person here is so kind and very knowledgeable. A huge thank you to the team/friends at the Roy Griffols Center.
Most staff are amazing but I was supposed to get $125 as my 2nd donation as a ?new donor? because I hadn't donated in so long ..and instead I got $40 when I called the office the gentleman said that there was nothing that I can do and that they would try to fix it on my next donation, but I don't intend to donate again if this is not fixed. You guys already increased the amount of plasma that you are taking and lowered the return donor pay so when they are making so much off the plasma it's insane to not ad
Not all the techs are following FDA policy which made my unlucky situation even more frustrating. I had my heater on blast in my car for 5 minutes while I was in the parking lot before going in. I was putting my hands over the heater because My hands are always cold (no matter where I am during the winter) when they prick my finger. Josh at the service counter can attest to this. I walk in and they take my temperature and it reads 100.6. (100-100.5 is a 1 week deferral) (anything higher than 100.5 is a tw
Have donated at this location for close to 8 years. But because of a couple recent changes that looks to be changing. This facility and possibly other biomat centers switched recently to how much you donate off of a different system than weight so now it can vary from donation to donation. For me it was a difference of donating 850ml to 1000ml pretty consistently. This change was made with no pay increase. I was disappointed with that but it only changed my donation time from 40ish minutes to 45 ish minutes
This facility is amazing! The place clean and the staff is friendly and caring. Shout out to Cianna for being professional as well as informative making sure I was comfortable the whole time. She sets an amazing standard for Grifols and hope others take after her. Great job Grifols!
Wow Cianna was very respectful when i first came in. Her professionalism is excellent above and beyond when it comes to the patient. She has a good attitude and positive energy all the way .. keep it up !!
Great team here at the Biomat in Roy. I always have great experiences when I am there, and the staff are very hard working and care about what they do. If you are looking to be treated well and for a smooth plasma donation experience, come to Roy!
Today my husband went in and donated plasma and they got an update on the machines which has a higher canister inside that is supposed to allow faster draw and return rates. It was causing the filters to clog on a lot of people setting off the high pressure return alarms. Their fix was to massage the filter to break up the clots in the filter. While doing this, the employee admitted to my husband that the doctor that comes in every week has told them they are not allowed to massage the filters due to increa
Great place to donate. The facility is really nice and clean and they take care of their donors there. I can get in and out very quickly
Been going here for the last 7 years on and off and I have loved this place. Staff is great. Recently they changed how much you have to donate based on your height and weight. They used to take 800 max now they can take 1000 max. It takes me 20-40 more minutes now. The pay decreased and you donate longer. I hope a change happens especially for those of us who have to donate so much more. It takes a lot more time.
I've donated for three years at BioLife in Layton. Finally got so sick of them and their wait times that I switched to Biomat in Roy. Night and day difference in the two. Biomat is so much more professional and well ran. The employees are great at getting you through and on time. Update: They have new machines and an app that makes donating that much easier.
Bruised my arms bad, now I can't donate again until that clears up. They also don't pay nearly as much as surrounding centers do. Shows the owners don't value their customers time. Won't be returning. Choose wisely.
I went in this past Monday for a donation and physical, I was told by the girl that did my intake that since I hadn't been there for a few years I would qualify for the new donor promotion. On the first donation I did get $100, but I went in today and got $70 which is the regular donation pay. I was not too happy about the misinformation. Then on my donation today, the phlebotomist did not get the needle in my arm all the way (which I am not upset about, it happens) so another gal came and adjusted it, sti
I have been a plasma donor for over 20 years. I have donated with Grifols in Rexburg, Logan, Clearfield and now Roy, I did go to biolife for a couple years, but Grifols CMS?s and phlebotomists have always been amazing and friendly, and always had good experiences donating until a couple weeks ago when the quality manager Amber got involved who does not have a medical background. She decided to go over the CMS?s head and the doctor and defer me because of a rash that recently started appearing on my right
Unfriendly to new donors. Zero help getting started. I stood at the front desk for 15 minutes looking on the app, online, and everywhere else for the dumb questionnaire, and never found it. There was nobody there to answer questions. I even tried the AI chatbot and it had no idea how to navigate to the questionnaire either. I guess they don't want new donors here.
Megan was great!! It was painless and fast!! Whole staff is so kind
BEAWARE! Get a flyer in the mail saying get $40 on your next visit. Got to the facility and was told those flyers aren't valid. ALSO, I have donated 5th time today and was expecting $100. Only compensated $40. They told me numerous times that it can take you 6 months or however long to do your first 8 donations. I called and they said oh, we went back to the old payments. They make you sign all this paperwork agreeing to donate and they take back what they say they'll compensate you. That's dishonest and ve
Used to like donating here, however it is becoming a bit of a joke recently. They always feel understaffed, which is understandable. But the wait times are becoming a lot longer and now with donating more than we used to it adds another 15-20 minutes to my donation. I've also never felt sick donating but now that we donate more I've felt terrible after donating. Used to be able to be in and out in roughly a hour. Now it's starting to push 2 hours each donation. With no additional compensation or anything it
I have donated here 3 times the 1st time I donated i got 100.00 and the last 2 times I've only gotten 46-48.00 when it says directly on the counter 1st 5 donations 100.00 they screw you out of money, I don't live in roy it's a bit of a drive to come donate just for 46-48.00 don't trust them they are dishonest. Than after you donate the card place cancels your card. I've had to jump through loops just to get a new card. I am currently waiting for a new card and been here an hour they're saying "the lab is ba
The staff is super friendly and efficient. There aren't huge lines when you go in to donate either, which is nice. I don't love the new guidelines for the amounts they take as it adds nearly 15 minutes to my donation times on already slow machines, but I'm told they are getting new ones, so that will be good. I'm grateful for the opportunity for extra cash while helping others. I highly recommend Grifols. #GrifolsPlasmaPassport
I've been donating here off and on for a couple years. I always have a good experience and everyone is so personable. MEGAN IS MY FAVORITE! She's the best and always does a good job poking me. :)
First time ever donating plasma, the staff and the process was great. Highly recommend this place.
Normally pretty good. However took 45 minutes to be told I'd be a sample only because the last one couldn't be read. Combined with the reduced donation pay thinking of switching centers or quitting altogether.
I think this location is fantastic. Is it perfect, no, but nothing is. Overall they do a great job and have a really good payment system. It does change occasionally but its very often paired with bonus promotions in various ways. Some of the staff are super friendly, some are friendly, and the rest are perfectly cordial. I havent met anybody rude here and ive been going for almost 2 years. People do occasionally have bad experiences but computers mess up and sometimes so do people but my experience here ha
Megan W. is my favorite phlebotomist. She's friendly and always does a perfect job. I definitely recommend requesting her!
I really like the staff here, everyone is great. The reason for the two stars is because they are yet again lowering the pay. Do they want people to stop donating? Cause that's what I'm about to do, especially if they decrease the pay again, I'll be out, cause it won't be worth my time or the gas to donate.
Jess saved the day. If there was one more star I could give them because they went above and beyond to help me. Not only did they solve the problem quickly, but they also took the time to explain everything to me in detail. Their professionalism and expertise were truly impressive. I am grateful for their exceptional service.
Great plasma center. The staff are dialed in and keep up a great pace. Looking forward to my next donation! Thanks for keeping the pace smooth.
I've been donating for a good couple years and every time the staff is great and so is management! They care about their donors!
I've been donating at the Roy center since it opened. All the staff are very friendly and and easy to talk to. I trust any of the phlebotomists there to take good care of me! I especially have a soft spot for Sarah M! I loved when she would screen me and wish her luck in her new position! I am always impressed by how efficient the Roy center is and how smoothly my appointments usually go. Keep up the awesome work!
I've been coming to this location on and off for years. And they hire some amazing people! The staff is always so NICE, QUICK, and KNOWLEDGEABLE. Coming here you're treated like a friend and will never have to doubt if they know what they are doing, because they do! Even when the place is jam-packed each one of them work so well under pressure! :)
I come here mostly for Sue. She seriously is amazing and makes me laugh and smile every time. The extra cash is great but nothing will compare to Sue. I have a great bond with her that I will cherish forever. I wish I would of met her sooner but I'm just blessed and honored to have her in my life. Plus I love all the hugs I get from her. I love you sue. Thank you for everything. Your truly are the best and a amazing person
I have been donating at the Roy center off and on since it opened. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. It is fun to talk with them and joke around with some of them. I like it when they call me by my name when I come. They are great! The process to donate runs smoothly and everyone plays their part.
I have been donating for about 18 months now and have always had a good experience. I feel the center is run very professionally. Wait times are never long and I see the coordination it takes to move donors through the process is important to the staff. I can't pick a favorite employee, but I can say I am always happy when it is Bridgette that does my inprocess for donating. She is so sweet and fun to chat with. She deserves lunch for sure!
I love donating at this center. I have donated at other centers that can take anywhere to 3-4 hours to do a single donation. This center I am in and out. The staff is AMAZING! They are friendly, kind and good at their job. The facility is large, clean and the flow works well to get through the donation.
They do this by scheduling, however if you're trying to do your second donation they don't allow you to schedule until your third donation, so if you're on your second donation you just have to show up and hope that someone misses their appointment or wait for hours. Not cool. You should be able to schedule like everyone else
Roy location of Grifols Biomat is wonderful! I love the friendliness of the staff! They always make me feel welcome, and have always been kind to me! I really love how smooth everything runs as well, they have it down to an art! I hardly ever have to wait! I am grateful to be able to donate plasma to help others, and earn a little money on the side as well!
My husband and I have been donating here for over a year and it has been great! Anytime there is a problem they are always upfront and quick to let us know. They are super accommodating even when we made our appointments at the wrong center! The staff is always nice and remembers us!
I have been donating at this location for about 2 years now and I have rarely had any issues and if something happens the staff try the best they can to help to resolve the issue the staff are amazing they are super friendly Ashley is always going out of her way to says hi to me and ask me how I am doing she is amazing and she always makes me feel welcome and Jaden is a little ball of sunshine he such a nice person. If you have ever thought about donating please check this place out
Being a Clearfield transfer, I was honestly a little hesitant. That quickly faded after my first time at Roy! Everyone is amazing! I haven't had a single time that was less than stellar! Great staff! Love this place!
To tell you the truth this should be 5 stars: the staff are very kind and will help you in anyway. Plus it is extremely clean and nice in there BUT they recently changed the prepaid card from a Bank of America card to a Chase Prepaid and what a joke that Chase bank is. It works great for retail stores but good luck trying to use it somewhere else. It won't let you use it for some gas stations, plus it has a $3.00 fee for every ATM, also my first online purchase (Amazon) was flagged for fraud, which cool coo
Quick, efficient, professional & kind. I always am in and out in about an hour. Layton, I would be in line for an hour or two before even donating. They have it figured out how many they can handle and don't book more than that. I appreciate they value my time. I've been here for about five months - I went back to Layton cause I was qualified for higher payments. I walked out twice before even donating saying ?never again!?
Great place to donate! I've donated over 300 times here amazing place! Always nice and friendly staff! Highly recommend!!
05/2021 They have done amazing bringing in a lot more staff. There isn't much wait at all in getting back to donate. The Phlebotomists on the floor actually walk around and continue to ask if everything is going good during your donation. Huge turnaround! 04/2021: The wait times are getting horrible. A 1 hour donation now turns into 3 hours. 2018 - Great upbeat staff! They all are more than willing to assist with any questions or just have small talk. They are very efficient at this center, compared to ot
I go in twice a week, all the staff from upfront to the back are friendly and professional. They welcome me and make me feel at home. Sometimes its busy, but that goes with the territory. Its hard to single out just one employee, since in my opinion they all do great jobs. Cassidy always goes the extra mile when I come in for me and other donors. Tanner always does a great job as well.
Absolutely amazing management, client care, and environment!
Very clean, organized, and fast! I've been coming for a little over a month and I have never had to wait over 5 minutes to donate. My new donor pay got messed up but when I let a worker know they had it fixed right away. Will continue to donate here!
I've donated in the past at the Clearfield location and let me say that this Roy location has them beat! The facility is spacious, clean, and organized! The staff is awesome! Bridgett is my favorite, whenever I have a question or need help with anything..she is there to make sure that I am helped immediately! I most certainly like the relationship connection I have with the staff! It's nice to be able to have a conversation and feel welcome..especially when I am putting a needle in my arm lol!
Amanda is absolutely Amazing!!! She is always so friendly and attentive... Her sticks are the best! She has never missed one time, they are not painful, and I have never have any problems donating with Amanda. Whenever she is working, I always request her!!! Kudos to Amanda!!! ??
I have to say what a great experience I had donating plasma at the Roy center. The facility was clean, staff was friendly and the process efficient. I have previously donated at another company and waited for like 2 hrs. Roy was much faster and to me time in money.
Everyone is always nice! It's nice that so many remember my name...or that means I talk too much! Harry, Amy, Bridget, are some of my favorites. There is a girl, that always wears a bow in her hair and she coaches volleyball, (I have heard her name a million times and I cant remember) but she is always super nice. There is another gentleman, that mainly works the front desk, he has a shaved head, and I know his name but right now it has left my head, but I appreciate how he always makes an effort to say hi
I have been going here for about two years now. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Beqin is the best. She's always so nice friendly. Always does a great job sticking. I request her every time I have never had a issue. Thanks :)
I love donating here. They make me feel welcome, and safe. I love all their standards. They make sure you know what is going on. I ?? coming back even when I have been gone a couple of months.
I have donated here for over a year now and have never had any issues. I really like that they follow their donor schedule because it makes it so that the wait times are very very short. Everyone who works here is very friendly and efficient. I wouldn't think of donating anywhere else.
I keep failing my protein samples but thats my own fault lol. I've been donating for almost 3 years and it has been awesome! The staff is friendly and they know how to stick your arm the right way! Its simply great!
I've had a great experience coming to the Roy center! The employees are friendly and have always done a great job. I have a few favorites like Melissa up at the front and Sky and Brad on the floor have been some of the best stickers!
I donated at the Ogden location a few years ago and had a good experience, but the Roy location is awful. Made an appointment for a physical on a Saturday morning and ended up waiting for over two hours before finally being informed that the only medical staff was responding to an "incident." With no indication of how much longer I'd have to wait, I just left and decided to try again. I made another appointment for a weekday afternoon and sat there for 20+ minutes before anyone talked to me. They said I had
Please get some staff to screen that will actually work and not stand around having girl talk. The same 2 people at the end screen everyone waiting while everyone else's playing footsie. I was ignored for ten minutes until the woman at the end asked if i had been helped noticing i was standing there for a long time. This has been a problem both times I've come in when the same people. Please hire people that take their job serious and are not getting paid to stand around with their friends. Thank you to lad
I can't say enough positive things about this place and the staff. Always love coming here and chatting with everyone. It's strange to say, but in a lot of ways this place is my "Cheers!" (Google it millenials) Harry and Melisa are amazing! Harry takes care of me from start to finish!! Love it here!!
I've donated at both the Roy and Clearfield locations and Roy is by far the better facility with the best employees! Amanda and Megan go the extra mile to make donors feel welcome and comfortable. Amanda is always happy and willing to stick me every time I request her and makes the donation process a pleasant experience. Megan is professional, friendly, and great at what she does. I can't imagine donating anywhere else!
Everytime I come to donate I have a great time. Friendly staff, clean building and just a good experience all around. Amanda and Colby stuck that and made the process super comfortable! This is why I like to donate here! Thank you guys! P.S Harry is always saying hi and always wants you to feel welcomed.
I've been donating plasma at this location for over two years. The staff is friendly and respectful; I'd like to give a shout out to to a few even though the entire staff is great. Harry, Jordyn, Austin, Ken, Beqin, Tanner, and Trevor who have been so kind to me. This location works by appointment so the donation fits into my schedule. Canceling an appointment last minute isn't an issue, and scheduling one last minute isn't an issue either unless looking to do so in their small windows of peak times. Easy w
This is a great center to donate at. I started donating in November and there have been many improvements. They have continued to work on growing their staff and appointments only has shortened the wait time considerably. The vast majority of staff is super friendly. The phlebotomists are all great!
I have been donating for 7 years. The staff are my favorite! Harry, Scott, Mitch and Bequin make me laugh, show they care, share smiles through their eyes and are all great examples of making the best of their busy days. I could easily mention more staff, they have become good friends over the years.
I've Been coming to Biomat for almost 3 years. All the staff members have always been so kind, helpful and friendly! Harry is one of my favorites .... he always is so happy, has such a fun personality and when he sticks my arm I never even feel it !! Get him a free lunch!! You guys are great!! Thank you
I've been donating here for a couple of years. The staff is awesome and friendly! They are good at what they do. I'm usually in and out in less than 1:15.
I switched from a different company to the Biomat in Roy a little over two years ago and I'm so glad I did. Everyone here is so nice and friendly! Many of them know me by name and say hi even if they are not the ones personally helping me that day. I love that they have a supervised play area with amazing staff who go above and beyond for the kiddos. I want to give a special shout out to Jordyn! She's the best!
I love the people here. Donating has been a great way to earn a couple extra bucks and help others. I go so consistently that I'm on a first name basis with the staff. Tanner is my boy and I love talking movies with him every time I donate. Highly recommend!
I have been donating here for the past year consistently. My last several donations have been frustrating. Today I waited 45 minutes before the donation even started. This has happened several times in the past couple months and is getting old. It used to be so quick and convenient. They need more staff on the floor.
I started donating for the first time the beginning of this year and they made me feel so comfortable and welcomed! They are so amazing at their prompts! I look forward to going twice a week! Love the staff and the clean center!
I have been donating for about two years now and I love knowing that I am helping people in need. And getting a little bit of extra cash while helping. I love the Roy location. The Sunday crew is the best. It's the same three phlebotomists and they are amazing. Beqin is so nice and so fun to be around. I'm sorry I can't remember the other two girls but they are so nice too. They make my Sunday mornings so fun. The front staff on Sunday?s are amazing too. Always happy and smiling waiting for us 8 o'clockers.
This is a great place to donate Plasma. This facility is under two years old and is very clean and nice. Having said that at first, you could get though very quickly, but as more people started coming, it became busier and it took much longer to get through. Over the past six or so months they have increased their staff and they have also changed a few things to decrease the time, which have really helped. The changes they have made, was you having to make an appointment to come in, even though not conven
For the most part they are awesome. As of late, however, it's been very very slow. You make an appointment online but it takes more than 30 minutes just to get through the vital check...it's like a real doctors office, multiple waiting areas. I've had to reschedule twice this week just because they are so slow, please figure out a way to make it a bit quicker.
took 28 minutes to get from my appointment time to actually getting stuck which sucks but regardless... Shae always makes for a good time. Her charisma and energy makes the time go be faster and the experience a pleasure. Also, thank you Ken for always hitting my vein and for your humor! Every business should have a Shae and Ken!
This center is very clean. Employees are very kind and well educated. My first time coming took about 4 hours as well as I got poked in the same arm three times until the girl had to call over another phlebotomist to poke my other arm. I was left with a gnarly bruise that went away in a little over a week. Other than that, the experience has been good.
I've donated here a handful of times and have always had a great experience. The staff is fun and friendly and always treat me like a life long friend. They always have some kick ass music playing, it really helps to make you feel comfortable with donating.
I've been donating here for the last 8 ish years. I've seen so many ppl come an go. But I have never been treated a way that made me feel like I was going to get up an walk out ranting an raving as I did March 16th 2023. I got to the back an sat down. Three girls on the floor, an one of them for sure knows my veins that I trust secondly if my go to isn't there. Well I watched the other two girls totally AVOID ME ALL TOGETHER! Didn't bother setting me up to help Lexi out. Like I don't want someone to stick m
Well run organization. I feel efficiency and safety are their priorities. The staff sure a great job. In particular, Scott was really great when he did the health evaluation. And, Bequin (spelling?) Is so dang skilled!
I am impressed with how the staff is friendly and hard working. Ken, Becin, Sarah, Kassidy are just a few of the staff that I have had great interactions with. I find the time I spend there relaxing and obviously I enjoy the extra income.
Friendly staff, calm environment, and worth while. I have been donating for almost 3 years and have never had a poor experience. I highly recommend this location.
Extremely friendly staff. Everybody is very professional. Very kind and treated me well my first time going. I am upset at the fact that I have been told multiple times that they had a daycare, the time I brought my kids and they tell me it's not a daycare it's a supervise play area. They don't take kids who are not potty trained and who are under the age of three. It would have been nice to know this several times that I called and asked the front desk about information of the daycare. I had to cancel my a
The staff at Roy is always so helpful when you are there. I really like that Amanda and Rylie are always checking to see how the day is going outside of the donation, going beyond just doing their job.
I use to donate at the salt lake location, and then we moved to Roy and was nervous about donating somewhere I wasn't familiar. But I love this location! I've had a bad few encounters but that's it. I highly recommend Harry. Always so welcoming and friendly to everyone. I always choose him when I go to donate.
I've been donating for 16 years and couldn't imagine donating anywhere else! Friendly staff, clean facility, and a speedy process! No complaints here! Keep up the good work
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
