Grifols Biomat USA Royal Palm Beach, FL

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the friendly, professional staff and clean facilities, with many highlighting excellent customer service and skilled technicians. However, several complaints cite poor management, untrained staff, painful needle sticks, long wait times, and issues with payment systems or donor eligibility. While many donors have positive, even familial experiences, others report frustrating inconsistencies, discrimination, or hygiene concerns. The center seems polarizing—loved by regulars but criticized for operational flaws.

I have been donating here for 2 years and have consistently been having negative experiences so decided to try out Octapharma as I had no other plasma donating experience outside of Grifols. I came here to leave this review because of how stark the difference is between the two centers. Octapharma on Forest hill boulevard is leaps and bounds above this center in every way. Every time I have come to Grifols, I have been in the building for no less than 2? hours even with an appointment and completing the q

Sarah is very great and professional! This center has great staff and very clean! ??????

If I could give negative stars I would. The tech dropped an open gauze on the floor and them placed it on my bleeding arm. While reaching for the gauze she pulled on my arm causing a massive hematoma. Mgmt's handling of this was pathetic at best. Strongly advise going elsewhere!

I was hooked up to the machine almost 2 hours. This is by far the longest it's ever taken me to donate. I've donated at other locations and never had this issue. Unfortunately, this isn't a one-time thing ? every time I come to this location, the process is extremely slow. They also have extremely outdated equipment

I'm only giving this center a 3 star review because of the older Asian lady named Margery i encountered, when i come donate, she has horrible customer service, I can hear her yelling from across the center, I feel as if you don't have that good of customer service, she shouldn't be working here she has a nasty attitude I even noticed that she talks to other people crazy. I think otherwise the center is very cleanly and organized and the other staff are wonderful people.

This place is normally great other than the water fountains still being broken 3 years later. They have recently changed their hours probably being short staffed so they close earlier now. They really need to hire more people and get rid of the lazy people like this one guy with long blonde hair and a beard. This place gets 2 stars because of him. He locked the door when I had 10 minutes before closing right in front of me. Also he was the same guy who set me up to donate but he looked high on drugs and had

I love this center but it one worker a older Asian lady, that has no Customer service, She is very rude and I have caught her multiple times yelling at her coworkers, that is the only reason why I'm giving the 1 star, other then that this is a great center and all the other workers are great, and very efficient. And the center is clean.

Everyone of the employees r magnificent the entire place is clean n Soo comfortable the entire process is remarkable this box is definitely not enough space to write n explain the joy of Biomat

Juana - great customer service, very informative, very patient very kind. Will definitely her and recommend this place

This place for sure shocked me! It was my first time ever going and from the moment I walked in it was amazing service! The employees were all happy and joking with one another which shows a fun and good work environment, the manager Carmen was out talking to a gentlemen and then she chatted with me and even stopped to check on me knowing it was my first time before she left for the day! The guy who set me up and did my stick was AMAZING ?????? he was patient and knew exactly what he was doing and was gentl

Untrained staff and poor customer service. Better options all around town. Please avoid this place.

DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE . Staff has no experience with putting the needle into your arm. They lie about the amount of money you will get when you return. Very unorganized . Manager & staff is very rude . Will never come back !

Giving one star is generous. If I could give negative stars I would. I have donated for years at many different plasma places throughout the various states I have lived in and have donated at this specific location since I moved to Florida years ago. I've never had any issues before I stopped going here. I stopped for about a year because my fiancee had just had a baby. I returned as a new customer and noticed right away this place went completely down hill. I've never had a hematoma in my life but one gi

Great customer service from Juana and jazzy was perfect!!!

Love this place and the employees are great. Sadly they are closed on Monday and this was one my days that I can go because of my work. I had switch to another center and I'm unhappy because no others are like Biomat. I truly miss you guys.

There are some fine people at every level from Screeners to Management. Melissa and Reon for example are gems. Unfortunately there are some who are not.Today I had an issue with an unprofessional phlebotomist. .After my donation I went to speak with the Manager. I happened to be exhausted after a 12 hour work shift. Did the Manager tell me he would address the situation? NO, he sided with the inept employee and suggested I speak with the employee. You know, HIS job. When employees aren't held accountable th

For the most part a great experience everytime I come here. Great, helpful staff.

This facility is awesome. My first visit took a little which is to be expected. But even though they were crazy busy they always leave me know what was going on. My 3 visits after that have been super quick. And from Tami to Klyvland it's a quick stick and they got it 1st time. U usually bruise and have yet had that happen. Everyone is super friendly. I also love Haley and her outgoing personality! For a 1st time this was an awesome experience!!!!

I have been coming here for awhile now and every single person that works here is amazing. Special recognition to Steven and the nurse who does the physicals . They both go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I'm always greeted with a smile and I'm in and out in about an hour . Thank you for making my visits as easy as possible ! I only gave 4 stars because of the younger girls that stick you .. there are a few that have very loud personal conversations on the donor floor and cursing. There have

I used to donate plasma there, they were great. I look forward to returning, I hope some of these reviews are exaggerated. I'm sure they were following the procedure and some people don't like not being given privileges, hopefully. Like abayomi for example yeah if you can't provide an address you're probably homeless.

This place is horrible they move extremely slow. They do more talking amongst themselves so your waiting more then you should. You see workers trying to wipe down the beds 20 times to avoid taking a patient it's unfortunate it makes ppl not want to go back unorganized center when they do finally call you instead of having everything they need they have to keep going back and forth getting the stuff.the new machines they have now go extremely slow so your there even longer.if personally they had a different

Everything was good until the guy who punched my arm, gave me ZERO instructions as to when should I pump. He just pinched my arm and left without saying anything. Not to mention, he did it wrong!!! Took them 30 minutes to realize it was wrong so they pinched me a second time and it was still wrong!!! It was very painful. And then they pinched me a THIRD time on my other arm. Now my arms look terrible, they hurt and it was very painful.

11/4/24, bad stick. Cannot donate Retention here is a problem because employees play the race card.

I absolutely love this place the staff is amazing and actually help and care for their donors MRS RHONDA IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST SHE AMAZING WITHOUT HER HELPING ME KEEP SANE IDK WHERE ID BE THANKS ALOT GRIFOLS

I think the staff and facility are great however I've been having a difficult time trying to get my blood sample reviewed by the doctor for the past 4 weeks. I totally understand staffing shortage and the Doc only being available once a week but if they had my result back surely I would think they would get back to me instead of me having to constantly check in.

Make a appointment and they still didn't see me wasted time and gas ...

Nice staff. Could use a couple of extra people to speed up those waiting to get hooked up to donate & more staff to speed getting disconnected. That's where the biggest slowdowns are. I've sat waiting up to 30 minutes to get hooked up and up to 20+ minutes waiting to get disconnected after already laying there for an hour donating. They could easily increase their donor rate by 25 to 30% by getting more staff getting the donors hooked up & disconnected quicker.

The staff is incredibly friendly, sometimes it takes a little longer to get out of here then I like but the facility is always really clean and I've never had a problem with any of their staff members. All in all it's a great way to kick back for a couple hours and earn a little extra cash.

SPORTING EVENT OF PLASMA DONATION CENTERS!!! Let me tell you why... i am very unhappy with my visit with you guys. This seems almost never ending issues...i come in at 11:20am or so. I had to retake a picture is fine. Then i had a physical that took some time. And then up until now almost an hour into being a return donor not even a new donor i was still not at a machine along with tons of people waiting. More money then octapharma is awesome as well as you guys upgraded in a new company but its not worth

False advertising of donation amount and duration, to obtain donors. IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN TO THIS LOCATION-- DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM SAYING $1OO(4). The appointment system doesn't make any sense as they do not follow appointment times. If a favorite come in and say that they need to use the bathroom or taking the bus; they will make you wait (completed with needle still in arm- while they've hit the button so that it's no longer beeping) to go and take them off and lie to you saying that this donor has finis

This place is great. Like the professionalism of how they conduct business. Safety is a must with them and they always keep the place neat. The stafe is friendly, and know how to treat people. Just a place that makes you feel good and good about giving back to those who need it the most. Having been here many times , i would recomend people here and always tell them about the wonderful services here.

Honestly one of the best centers around palm beach county! Very clean, very respectable employees. They are always smiling and cheerful which makes you really feel comfortable when you are donating! They also offer a variety of prizes through out the month usually holiday related highly recommend if I are thinking of donating never going anywhere else!

Would have rated it higher, the staff is amazing and professional especially in emergency situations. All of them have wonderful personalities, it the best plasma center in my opinion in the area. But it does get congested in the building and my biggest criticism is that they made mask now optional despite every medical facility is universal masking. I have to plan my visit better either early morning or late before closing to have the most minimal crowd. If there is a crowd I take extra precautions wear N9

Customer service is horrible. They don't value the donors and treat them any kind of way. There is no greeting or smile given. The front office doesn't seem to be properly trained. The workers on the donor floor are thrown in to just figure it out. The customer service is very poor. They are only focused on getting the job done. The machinery is faulty and sometimes give false readings. The values and morals of the company including the expectations should be reevaluated and all employees should be held to t

A year ago was 5 stars , now it has gone downhill and you can tell by looking at the most recent reviews. Long wait times and very few people working at a time. No sense of urgency from anyone. Expect to spend 3-4 hours here for a regular donation.

The staff is very friendly and are able to address any concerns you have during your visit. I have not visited any of the other locations but this facility is very clean. The only issue I have is that the wait times are not always. consistent but I understand that the system is getting better.

Never went but after reading the reviews anyone with half a brain wouldn't go here, also don't respond with generic computer response cause I don't want it just informing others to READ REVIEWS.

Although I don't like that sometimes it takes a while for the money to get on your card after you do plasma it's very clean I like that there's appointment settings so it's not you having to wait forever their new system is great the staff is friendly to people that go there or clean and well-behaved compared to some of the other plasma centers I've been to this pays a little less than others but I prefer the atmosphere

They are offering the highest new doner and return doner pay in the County (October). Even though they are very busy they do the best that they can and have a system that makes sense for the amount or people that come in per day. The facility is clean and the staff/management are very nice.

Melissa is the assistant to request! I was treated very kindly and professionally. Melissa never misses a vein and gets it right everytime. I will only request her for a quick, painless and friendly visit.

So far the check in process has been pleasant but after that not so much. The donor floor is backed up and no sense of urgency. If not for the $100 bonus today I would not stay and likely won't be back until another offer like that comes along.

This is the worst plasma location I have prooof of a adress but because it's not in westpalm I can't donate I live in west palm beach but I have not lived here for more then 2 months so there's no Mail that has came I have proof of residence in plantation but there saying you can't donate here this is the worst facility only this plasma business does this go to CsL or octapharma

Stephen and Mauwa go above and beyond to make my fear of needles go away! They both are so caring and diligent. Part of my schedule depends on their availability. Good job on the quality of your precise work guys! See you again soon!

Wasted 2hrs at this place. Seemed under staffed because atleast an hour of my time there was spent sitting by myself doing nothing. There were 2 staff members doing physicals and the guy that was supposed to be doing mine had to leave early which was in 40min. The other staff member came in and told the guy who had just started mine there were 2 Spanish people he would have to help because the other guy didn't speak Spanish. Then I was told because I have MILD COPD he was worried that I may pass out while s

I wish I could give them 0 stars. This was my first visit here. I arrived at 9 am didn't get called back to do the registration until 11 am after a 2 hour wait is when she informed me that in order to take a picture I have to take off my bonnet that I had on my head. Now must I inform you that they have dress code rules and in those rules nowhere does it say no head gear. I will NEVER return here. The staff aren't considerate of anyone's time. They're too busy talking and playing amongst themselves. That's

I really hate to give a bad review because the technicians there are very nice and personable. The new pay system is a terrible ripoff. They previously paid a total over 300 a month. Now the maximum you can make a month is 280 and that's if you go twice a week. It was questionable with the previous pay and now they're giving less! Yet they tried to make it seem like it was a good thing. I will be finding a different donation center even though I enjoy the staff.

Their employees are great, they just need **many many** more of them. It's a two hour ordeal for a return donor, on the very best of days. Today, I sat here for half an hour, with an appointment, before I was even weighed in, let alone screened. It's pointless to bother to make an appointment. Woefully, painfully understaffed, but the staff they do have is caring, friendly and competent. They do the best they can with the little they're given.

This establishment is a blessing. The staff are like family. I appreciate to value of Care they give. The device we are doing for others. Royal Palm Beach location. I thank each and every one of the staff striving for perfection. Especially Carmen,Stacy, Ira,Tammy and Katiana..

I am not giving this a 1 star for the technician or the front. They are all amazing..I have been going to this location fir almost 2 years..traveling from Jupiter..I even started going to another facility closer to where I live but the experience was terrible and I went right back to royal palm facility So my second donation wS today and they made me come in to speak with management Bottom line is, they said I could not go there anymore. Because I live on my job's property. And it's a business address so th

Management listened & made positive changes to improve donor experience. The new pay rate is Xclnt. I like the new check in procedure. Wait time is significantly reduced. Before changes, my review was negative. I've changed it & recommend this place to my friends. Good going.

I have been going there for over 6 months now and quite honnestly, I really do enjoy the atmosphere in that facility. The staff is friendly and very professional. Everything is done with the most efficiency and speed as possible. I enjoy going there ??!

Horrifying and Poorly Managed. Spent 5 hours at this location the first time to register and donate. While I was on the table with a needle in my arm donating my Plasma a staff member came over to me and told me they had to dispose of my Plasma the nurse made a mistake and that I needed my doctor to fill out a form for my type II regulated diabetes. I got the form filled out, brought it back, had an appointment and was told I couldn't donate that day and they will review the form and get back to me. I

Jojo was so amazing . She genuinely cared for each and everyone that walked in . She took great care of me , she's very informative and has a beautiful persona to top of her amazing customer service , and people skills . Totally felt more comfortable because of her . Highly recommend west palm location .

The staff here is very professional, caring and amazing. They are willing to answer any questions or concerns you have. They are very friendly. It's a great place. The staff makes donating very easy and they make the process run smoothly.

This is my third time donating here and I am still very satisfied with the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. The office is clean and comfortable. I have needle phobia, but each visit has gone well with as little pain as possible.

Very under staffed and super long lines. Also they never answer the phone. Super unprofessional place. Even at the front desk, I've been standing waiting with 0 assistance for over half an hour.

This has to be the worst freaking location and company I have ever been to. Please don't waste your time coming here because unprofessional doesn't begin to describe the service or workers here. I can't believe how I'm being penalized for what an employee failed to do. I will never come here again

The process may take a while, but the center is clean with a friendly staff. The managers I delt with are great, even the Physician that did my physical was nice and made me feel human. Chris is great and Zues is the man!!

The staff is always so friendly even on their busiest days. I love coming here not only to make a few extra dollars but also knowing I am helping so many people as well. Keep up the great work!

terrible. Every time I come here with an appointment I end up weighing an hour or more before I'm seen then an additional 15 20 min before taken to the back. The staff are completely unproffesion and talk in a very inappropriate manner in front of you. The front desk people are extremely rude. They have messed up my payments many times and I had to wait almost 2 hours to receive it.

Ok, so the place is clean and the lady in the front was super nice. But the people who work in the offices especially the guy in the striped shirt on this particular day was a straight jackass. Very rude and disrespectful. It was my first time trying to donate and their sign that's says no kids allowed is not placed where it's immediately visible so he decided to simply just accuse me of committing a federal offense. My baby was asleep in her car seat. All you had to do was ask. Because of this one person,

Bio test in royal palm beach has excellent customer service. They are very clean and friendly. The wait time is usually not as long as you'd think. I love coming here. Perfect way to contribute to the community.

Got hurt there bad in December and not only did there own medical staff tell me i needed to go to the emergency room immediate they said it was done by a brand new person. After They stopped answering my emails and calls and when i went there they said to contact there corporate office. I finally got a call a week ago.. this happened on December 15!!!!! God help you if you get hurt there, they are not equipped or trained for any medical problems arising..DONT GO!!!! They put brand new people doing these thi

I've been coming for round 2 years now and the biotest center is a good place. The people are nice welcoming and do know what they are doing. They are quick, efficient, and will do their best to make you feel comfortable. You get a nice little bit of money on the side that you can spend as you see fit. To get your loved one something nice for them.

I am a long time donor. I have seen the worst of this location. I just came back after a year. WOW!! What a fantastic experience. Everyone is so friendly and efficient. I am very happy I came back. If you have had a bad experience in the past, come back again. Management really has it working well.

Every since grifols took over Bio; this has been the most unprofessional place ever . They do not care about safety, they new techs are not properly trained. They do not pick up the receptionist desk phone. Everything is a joke. Like you going into someone vein one wrong poke that's a life or death situation. Chris is the most professional their.

slow af on the floor after screening. My time is worth more than this! They need to be more attentive, serious,& considerate of donors' timeframes. We are trying to get in & out without wasting time.

The people here are so nice. They make you feel like one of the family. I come here cuz it's a good thing to do but also to supplement my income. They are very welcoming and will treat you right.

This place is HORRIBLE. I've donated blood in the past, many many times, this was the first time I donated plasma. Either way WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! ?They say 2-3 hours for your first time. I was there for 5 hours. ?The staff is rude and unhelpful ? The seat I had to sit in to donate was full of sweat and smelled like dirty shoes ? The machine, I had malfunctioned ? The girl that stuck my arm messed up, and now I have a ball under my skin by my vein. ? When I asked her to find someone that was a "senior", i

The people that work in there great. I have a great experience every time. Morgan is great she makes me laugh the whole time i am there. Really every employee is great. They always make me feel comfortable and turn the music on for me. Thanx my all guy crew on July 3rd.. ?? Younz rocked it!!! Dj I am still telling Morgan on younz. Lol

So you want to donate Plasma. Be a good person and make a difference to those in need? Maybe make a little extra cash while doing it? Do you want to be discriminated against at the same time? If not then I highly suggest you stay away from this place. I went in last month to do this and went through the entire screening process and was CLEARED and waiting to donate, when all the sudden I get pulled aside stating I cannot donate that day as they were unfamiliar with my UN-GENETIC, NON-TRANSFERABLE, disabilit

I'm still waiting on a call back, it's been almost a month. I can't get anyone on the phone and when I walked in to get my protein results they told me the doctor was not in and I should call again before wasting my time. Hellooo??!!! Lol I've only been calling 4 ever!!! Can someone please call me back. You took my blood sample and I want to know what's going on.

things have change over the years. I returned yesterday after a year to be exact . It have been a whole day I haven't got payed yet. And I have called for 4 hours to the manager number and the receptionist no one had answered my calls

Love the staff here! They are very friendly and always make me feel welcome. Special thanks to Brittany B. She is the best phlebotomist here!

this place is awful every other donation center i?ve been to when i?m a few beats over on my pulse they let me donate still and i?m fine every time because they knows it's my anxiety and take that into accommodation this place however does not and if you fail 3 times or more you can't donate until their doctor sees you i?ve personally talked to my doctor about this issue and she has told me numerous times that a few more beats over 100 is not a problem and will not put me at risk they have a nice staff on t

I cannot wrap my head around the fact that 90% of everyone who came in after me was a cracked out looking homeless person or drug dealer..... I HOPE there is a better screening process for what material is used from this place. It is VERY concerning to say the least that I may require something someday that comes from one of these places based on what I saw here

I always had a fear of needles. Biotest is a great cause and it's a good way to get over your fear of needles. The staff is extremely friendly and you can tell that they give 110% every time. I always look forward to coming here and donating.

Been coming here for years and this is the worst needle stick I've had. Never let SARA ( skinny with long dark hair in a low ponytail & glasses) touch you. She is terrible. Most painful stick ever and when I said it hurt she looked at me, covered it with gauze an turned. I said this really hurts and she kept going. It immediately went to no flow and hurt too much to pump. I had to get a real phlebotomist to come fix it. Little girl you are not skilled enough for all that attitude. Please put her in proces

WORSE PLACE. INEFFICIENT. WORSE MANAGEMENT. ONLY ONE OR TWO KNOWS HOW TO PINCH YOU. (I GOT A BLACK ARM FOR 2 WEEKS) This place is going worse by the second, with the new implementation of "Appointments" (like hello!!!! it is a plasma center chill) the front girls are doing NOTHING just talking within them, while they make the donners WAIT for your EXACT time of you app. they literally could use that time to let people answer questions (BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN APP FOR APP. BUT NOT TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS) or st

I enjoy going in and Donating. Inside the staff is Friendly and Professional!. Inside the Donation area it is clean and sterile. My one complaint is outside parking lot has so much trash, it is filthy and the bathrooms are always dirty.

It's always a joy to come in and see Thomas and Shayla. Thomas has a joy about himself that makes you smile, and Shayla should be the trainer that teaches new employees how to stick through out the company . Thanks Biomat

The Absolutely rudest and judgemental people i have ever delt with!!I had donated there several years back the name was different the people were kind and caring.Went back to donate my plasma which I recieve money for but to my knowledge is then sold to pharmaceutical companies for alot more money so I am doing them a service. I have always been kind and done everything they have asked of me.i was taken into the examining room by 3 staff members asked me if I was living at an address that another donor live

Recent experience on 8/16/2022, I hadn't donated since 2020, so I went to the Royal Palm location and everything was going smoothly until the screener lied to me in my face. Being that they were short of staff and she(the screener) had to be placed in another area, she decided that she wasn't going to complete my screening process because she was overwhelmed and didn't have the time, she proceeds to tell me that my hematocrit was to low 34% and I'll be deferred for 24hrs. I'll say this, be aware you have al

I use to love this place be in and out in under a hour and a half all the staff then knew what they were doing now today I came in at 1030am didn't get to actually start donating til 3 hours later so I spent a total of 4 hours here like wow really sad part about it is I didn't do anything to anybody I am being quite and very patient I just don't get it they could use new management cause the managers now don't do anything like they use to bathroom is disgusting wait time is stupid long 1 hour and a half to

Been coming for some time not as much as others, but today is the day for laziness and for on rudeness... Some staff members deliberately stalling time to not move to the next person..then as if I didnt know they have been working here on a busy day today complain about work to get a pitty party for them. Iget it I have a career as well with ridiculous hours and some customers that do get under your skin, but if that's the case dont come into work. If you cant do what is asked. Besides not to mention in sim

Called before I came, was told I'd be seen. Drove there immediately from 30 minutes away only to be told I would NOT be seen. I asked to speak with a manager and waited 15 minutes with no one coming to speak to me. Absolutely poor customer service!

I've been coming here now for about 3 months and I must say everyone here is absolutely amazing Britney B , aiesha Anna the manager Jose even though gentleman behind the glass actually dealing with the plasma Aisha sat there with me one Sunday even after it was time for her to leave and was determined to find a vein in my arm because I was there and she stated she didn't want anyone here to waste their time I just love it here I won't go anywhere else I've heard her was horror stories about other plasma cen

I had a great first time experience here at biotest in Royal palm beach!! Very smooth fast process and polite employee's!! Highly recommend.. Sam did a great stick I was in and out on donor floor as well
