Grifols Biomat USA Russellville, AR

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the friendly, professional staff and clean facilities, with many highlighting positive donation experiences. However, several 1-star reviews cite major frustrations: wasted trips due to unclear eligibility rules, inconsistent procedures, long wait times, and poor communication about restrictions. Some complain about coupon issues or rude treatment. A few note recent declines in efficiency after management changes. While many donors appreciate the opportunity to help others and earn money, others feel misled or undervalued, particularly when facing disqualifications or delays. The center's performance appears highly variable depending on individual interactions and timing.

I had to be a crossover today and the lady who originally was gonna stick me had to switch. She didn't communicate anything to the other tech so he got mad that he had to do a crossover. When the switched the arm rests he didn't secure it and it fell while he was sticking me with the needle in my arm. I usually don't have issues but whatever issues the workers had with each other got in the way of my safety. Edit: I forgot to mention that he used the iodine stick to mark me, but he did it so hard I still ha

Went to donate 2nd time within a week because of the inclement weather it was 6 days after the first donation so they paid me like it was the first visit should have specified the week time frame Sunday thru Saturday not that it's your 2nd donation within a week

I come here twice a week every week and almost all of the staff is great but any time I have to interact with Sophie who is often at the front desk she is rude and stand offish. Probably the worst employee to have greeting customers

I absolutely love the staff here at Russellville! All of the employees are super nice and know what they're doing! I especially like Lainey! She got me in the first try! Awesome job!!! Will recommend to anyone!!

I have been donating at this location for over a year, it used to be a pleasant experience. The whole process usually takes about 40minutes from the time of getting the "stick". All of the phlebotomists are trained well with several capable of near sensation-less "sticks". The problems at this location stem from the ethics and practices of the personnel as they are not shy about being less care full with guests they might have issue with personal or not. Given the small town nature of the area rumors spread

My son goes and he says the staff here are great. He has only complained once, (that's unusual) he's hard to please. Always prompt service too

Made sure to donate before the 27th,to make my 7th time this month and get my 20 dollar bonus. Only to find out you also have to refer someone. Which was not mentioned in the ad or anywhere. Kind of a letdown

Great place to donate plasma very professional... Danny is my favorite, you can't even feel her pokes and shes very friendly and professional, she never complains and knows what she's doing!!! Thank you for caring and making sure I'm comfortable each donation and doing such a wonderful job consistently!??

This place is awesome people is awesome never had any issues that weren't expected with getting plasma taken it's also a great way to get some extra cash

I wrote a pretty detailed negative review a few months ago; one that was well deserved. But credit MUST be given where it's due. Since then, the number of employees has probably doubled, if not more. Current employees have been cross trained, and even those who work in the back office now have lab coats on and are getting involved in the process. Donor experience, in my opinion, is higher than it's been since I began 18 months ago. I'm not sure who the manager is, but I know you're going to read this. Well

I love donating here! The staff are all really friendly and helpful, and despite having small, rolling veins, Deval, Danny and Grace are so skilled that I rarely worry anymore. The place is always clean and sterile, and there are always folks willing to answer any questions you might have. Five star place and five star people ??

I want to say all the staff here are really friendly and I want to give a special thanks to Deval, Danny, and Grace, and Jessica. Everyone is very helpful and I will never be scared to donate here. My blood was clotting and it was nothing anyone could do about it. But Danny and Grace made sure I was good on that day. Danny stayed with me the whole time. She gave me so much comfort and it felt good knowing the staff cared enough about me to make sure I was good. Thanks everyone! I will donate here as much as

They are they are extremely helpful and friendly, and be sure to come in to hours early if it's your first time donating. Drink lots of water eat breakfast and make sure that your body feels good. The staff is really nice and considerate about your comfort level.

Everything went good up until my 4th donation. They stuck my right arm and infiltrated it and the other arm clotted (I get that isn't their fault it clotted) but if your workers aren't confident in the fact that they can hit a vein tell them not to even try and to get someone more experienced. The workers Definitely need better training

This place is wonderful! From the front desk ladies, Charles at vitals, the nurse who did my physical, Sophie & Taniel in the donation area ~ all were professional and nice! This entire staff is an asset to your company :)

Rudest people ever, and different procedures everytime. Too bad I have a vet bill for my cat, otherwise I'd go back to normal blood donations. At least at the blood bank you aren't treated like trash

????????????????????????Update: I would choose a different donation center, I'm about over it with this place. None of thier people know what they are doing and the manager does nothing about it. They messed up with the initial stick twice and now I can donate for a month because they can't train thier people. ???????????? It's hot or miss with the people how are sticking you. And if they mess it up they don't pay you, so you waste your time going through everything. They have a few that are good and that's

Every time I walk through the door I'm warmly greeted. Every single staff member is friendly, polite, and on point. Every question i ever had, was definitively answered. I have the absolute best time donating for a cause because of the staff. From start to finished , your treated as #1

Used to be an in and out process. Since they changed things you can plan on being here a couple hours. Definitely not worth coming to donate. Also express kiosk user are supposed to go first and they can't even get that right. Terrible place

Tony is one of the coolest people I have ever met! He always has a smile when we come here The lady at the front desk was also very kind. This place needs better promotion. Craig was a cool guy too. I like how he manages the facility! Go Team Russellville!!

Very clean! And the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and made sure you have a easy process. They make sure you understand everything that will be happening and answer any questions you may have.

As a new donor I was extremely nervous. Everyone here has made me feel at ease. They have answered every question I've had and made the whole process quick and easy. It's pretty cool to get to do something that will help save lives!

Wonderful experiences at this location. It's always clean and professional. The staff is amazing. I highly recommend stopping by and seeing if you qualify to donate.

Laney is my absolute favorite... she is so gentle, sweet, and nice. Most everybody is nice as well but she's the best

There are always staff to answer questions and they are very professional. The center is set up so they call your name after you complete the questionnaire so you don't have to stand in line and wait. It makes a huge difference for anyone who has medical issues and want to donate but cannot stand for long periods.

Everyone is so nice here. They let you know exactly how the process will go. They are caring and helpful. The atmosphere is fun and easy going. It's a great place to donate plasma!

Edit: Two years later the only additional comment I have is that giving plasma has become more popular and it seems like Biomat is still perfecting how it handles the influx in traffic. Some days it takes hours and hours to donate rather than the usual 1.5 hours. Professionalism, kindness, and friendliness are still present. More employees should be hired and given more attractive compensation. Original: My first time giving plasma was here. I can attest that the employees at Biotest are professionals and r

I have been donating for 2 years now. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They did go through a struggle of keeping staff, but seem to have plenty at the moment and get to you in a timely manner.

Very short staffed, which causes extremely longer wait times, which is quite an inconvenience when I have other appointments scheduled (4hrs later!?!) Let's be honest, most people donate because they need the extra money, there's been times I was relying on my plasma donation for gas for work or to pay my phone bill or for groceries till payday and have had to leave due to long wait times and that's excluding the 45min it takes me to donate, yes I know they do the best they can, but to me, that's no way for

Staff is great but ever since they changed over I haven't been able to donate due to the overly sensitive and inaccurate BP machine(s) they use. Never had a problem before now with them.

I have been donating for over a year now. The staff here are so kind and accommodating. The money is good. The establishment is always very clean.

Biomat in Russellville has recently extended their hours of operation, making it more convenient for donors to schedule their visits, either before or after work, for many of us. They have added several new employees, which has decreased the wait time for donors, making it a more pleasant experience for all. These recent changes have made a significant difference in the donation process, and I appreciate Biomat?s commitment to accommodate their donors.

They've been very friendly and very professional every time I've been in. The facility and employees are clean and give a felling of comfort when I visit.

I don't usually write reviews but I come here a lot & all the people working here are awesome & are great with teamwork & have a lot of patience for some of the things (people) they have to deal with!

Dr said I can't donate plasma because of my past history with pseudo seizures (due to stress)(non epileptic) I want to say I don't appreciate this for the simple fact I haven't had a seizure in over 2 years I've donated blood before so that's nothing to it in my eyes I would like to speak with the Dr to explain things and be able to donate and help save lives

Really nice friendly people. They always seem to have some kind of promotion for us to earn more money. Wwhould recommend them to anyone

This is a very friendly place to donate. They are willing to answer any questions or concerns that you might have. I love donating here and helping out people that need the plasma to help their body's heal.

Ok does of I have donated in other places and I can honestly daddy that this fabulous is by far the best the most recent one I went to was hot springs it was over 3 yes ago however they have had arrest in the center for public influx and possession of controlled substance tho facility is way cleaner and nice the staff all rock and they like to joke from time to time when not busy that awesome not to be all in knots all day I can't imagine going anyplace else to donate I just love the overall glow of the cen

This place is amazing! The people that work there are friendly and work there butts off! Everytime I go give they always makes sour I'm ok and comfortable through out give plasma.

Awesome experience. 1st time donor, all my questions were answered in terms I understood. Clean, friendly environment.

Like I said I got there at 1:15 and the doors were already locked people were standing there looking at me hitting trying to get in a locked door and the turnover rate you never know who's going to be doing it other than that most of the time I have a decent experience not a pleasant one but a decent

This place rips you off. If you can go to Conway its worth the drive. They steal your coupons and keep your justified pay because "thats just to much" when its literally a griffols coupon. They lie and tell you they participate in coupons and then they steal your pay and just give you what coupon is worth. Hands down greediest and kaniving center to go to.

I've been donating over a year. In that time, I've realized who knows what they are doing and the ones that don't. Grace is absolutely amazing! I request her every time!!

Need to be more upfront about reasons why you can't donate. Drove 100 mile round trip on Friday and registered with you, didn't pass vein check. Was told drink more water and come back Saturday. Drove another 100 mile round trip. Passed vein check but after waiting almost 2 hours to finally get to see the nurse for physical exam was told by nurse that I couldn't donate because of a medication I take. This information needs to be available on your website. I wasted about 7 hours and gas money I don't have do

Staff is helpful and friendly. Process is easy and fast. I get to help people and make a little extra money at the same time.

I have been here for over an hour and still haven't gotten stuck yet. I understand that people are short handed but half of them seem to be just walking around. ??

I've been donating since last year, and I have had nothing but good experiences. The money programs they have for donors is always great, and I appreciate this for my time and plasma given.

The people are awesome they're friendly helpful and when they stick you sometimes you don't even feel it.

The people are kind and helpful. The deals are great. Nice to know i can help others by donating and earn a lil extra cash to.

A few pointers for you to make donation go quicker, drink lots of water ?? always but especially the day before and day of your donation. I've already shared my experience on yelp but I will share here as well today June 11, 2022 I went to the plasma center of Avery occurring donor for over a year now and got stuck in both arms got both arms swelled up and then send away with no pay at all had to call the manager and then she paid me half for the visit very upset with the people there need to really worry about training these people the right way to stick someone the guy that stuck me today stuck the needle completely all the way in my arm an

New crew...Destiny did a good job she had only stuck one other person I let her stick me she was so nervous but she did great. Great crew as always!

The atmosphere has been great. The staff is friendly and make the process smooth and extremely comfortable!

The staff is nice and helpful there! I am so glad and thankful that I get to help others by donating.

I've had good experience nearly every time I've been here. The money I've made I've used to pay for my hiking gear so I can get more active.

The process was not as bad as I thought. Everyone is friendly, very nice. Never felt uncomfortable at any time.

The staff needs to be informed on procedures and what needs to be done. Had a hematoma and was giving a piece of paper. So i drive 20 miles to go for 2nd vist. Get there to be told i cant give plasma. At this time told that the bruising had to be gone before i can give again. Really why was i not told this the first time. Better yet why wasit not on the paper from first visit. Ryan or member of management never came out to apologize or talk with me. I was just sent on my way. Now i have no gas to get back

Very laid back atmosphere, friendly helpful staff , very professional but also very personable. Would recommend to anyone.

Very clean and thorough. The staff is very nice. I love being able to help others.

Naughty. That's a married man!! Shame shame. & they ALL UP IN THERE GOSSIPING ABOUT HIM CHEATING ON HIS WIFE. I THOUGHT WOMEN WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SUPPORTIVE OF OTHER WOMEN! NOT DEGRADING & SEXUALY EXPLICITE, WHILE ON THE CLOCK. I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS. GROSS

Other than seeming to be a bit short staffed, as alot of places are at this time... the staff is always friendly and a pleasant experience.

Employees are very friendly and helpful. They make donating plasma an easy and good experience every time.

I like coming to the center everyone is friendly and helpful. I'm glad that there is a center to come to close to home as well as an opportunity to help others.

The staff are wonderful. The facility is always super clean. Excellent experience.

Great friendly staff! I love supplementing my income and helping people at the same time!

very nice staff, i haven't had a bad experience here & the staff is also very quick & efficient.

I have a medical marijuana card and every other plasma center approves except biomat. Even Google says it will not disqualify someone but they gave me a 6 month deferral.

Honestly the worst plasma place I have ever been. The people do NOT know how to stick a needle and they gave my fiance and I the run around for 3 weeks. They will legit turn you down just because they don't want to do it. The first guy that did my vein check when I came here didn't even have me pump my fist.

I've been giving for a while, its a very easy process. Very clean and super nice employees.
