My first visit was made super easy. Courtney and all the staff at the Sandy location were amazing. Anything medical gives me anxiety but they made me feel welcomed. They answered all my questions with care. Thanks again , I highly recommend them them to any first time donors.
Samantha, (Sam) has stuck me twice now and is super attentive and both donations went very quickly. This Sandy location is a great place to donate!
I would like to express my gratitude for the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their professionalism and kindness truly stood out. They were not only welcoming but also took the time to thoroughly explain the process, ensuring I understood every step. Their attention to detail and willingness to share essential information made the experience smooth and reassuring. It's clear they genuinely care about the donors and their comfort, and I truly appreciated their effort in making this a positive exper
I love going here, the staff members are always super friendly and informative and help me feel as comfortable as I can be, which is huge for someone who has anxiety issues and hates needles! Shoutouts to ma dawg Gregory, who took great care of me during my physical as well. I'm always pleased with my experience at Grifols! ??
I really enjoy this center. I'm fairly new at donating and have always experienced friendly, quick service. I recently got into the rabies program and working with RN Dustin has been great. He's friendly, efficient and quick! If you're thinking of trying donating, I highly recommend the sandy grifols location. They are the best!!
Logan is the man! He was extremely attentive, kind, professional, and was very helpful with my first donation. The facility is very well kept and the whole staff was friendly. Despite staffing shortages, they were able to attend to and address any needs or concerns that I had. I also really appreciated the details that explained how my plasma donation was beneficial to those in need.
I've been going here for a few months now, staff is amazing, very kind and professional. They consistently do a great job, there are sometimes a few hiccups, but overall the experience is great! I had a physical with Logan, it was very enjoyable, he taught me a lot of things.
The staff is wonderful. Nice and fast. My issue is when they review samples there is always an issue. The doctor reviews it whenever they want. They have delayed my sample 2 times now where it takes a month for me to get back in. The doctor decided to review a a day earlier than normal so now I have to wait another week just to see if I pass if I don't pass I have to wait another week after that. I am unimpressed with the doctor, but the rest of the staff is fantastic.
Had a bit of trouble with the donation and felt neaseous and light headed, but Annie and Sam helped me through it even with them being visibly very busy with their other patients. I appreciate their attentiveness. Ben was also very nice to talk to and helped set me up for my donation!
I had a great experience. I really appreciated how Logan attended to me, providing clear and thorough explanations. The place is pleasant and very welcoming.
Abbie and Mitch are both always kind and quick with their exams or questions. The rest of the staff is knowledgeable and reasonably good with poking. Sometimes it's a little bit of a wait to be screened but that's the only ?issue? I could think of.
edit* your number doesn't work? it says not in service. Nice try being workable. How about you have someone meet me at that same location and we can talk thought it? Avoid if you're gay. Homophobic and dismissive of sexual assault victims (I was raped at 8) being timid of answering personal questions even when asked directly and told specifically. First donation this was specifically talked about, but the EMT with his hair slicked back specifically feel free to ask for someone else. I'll be reporting this
Staff is very nice here and made me feel comfortable about my first time donating. Logan did a great job explaining the whole process for me as well.
Lovin' the Sandy Biomat location. Ive donated a lot of the years, at many different centers, in many different states. Sandy is always super clean and prompt with getting donors through. Great team, all super friendly!
Super efficient plasma donation location!! I'm always in and out quicker than any other place I've donated!! Staff is super nice and friendly and make a point to remember things about you!! Staff member Gregory did my physical today and it was very quick and comfortable!!
I was greeted with great people smiling faces and a really enjoyable place to be, Logan helped me and made the entire process go quickly and super smoothly, I really enjoyed the experience and I'm definitely coming back again.
This place is great not crowded at all very helpful and friendly staff Mitch is the best never experienced such great customer service in my life will definitely be returning!
This was a great place to go, but there seems to be a lot of nepotism and favoritism that gets in the way of care. I think the lab staff is excellent, and the medical team is amazing, but the overall atmosphere in the facility feels tense and gives the impression that many people are unhappy.
I have never had a phlebotomist not hurt me when donating. Anastasia is amazing! I didn't even feel the needle stick. I'm in awe of her skill!!!
The Staff is always so kind and easy to talk to. They are so good to get my veins first try and I have rolling veins, which can be tricky.
Gregory was so nice! Seeing that it was my first time donating, helped answer my questions thoroughly and helped me get through the process. This is a beautiful facility with such wonderful people. I passed out during my donation, but I immediately had four phlebotomists rush to my aid and they made sure I came to, monitored my vitals, and was feeling well enough to leave!
The center is clean, organized, and everything is labeled with a visual aid, too. The staff is nice and speedy. Gregory did my intake and Anastasia plugged me up; they were both very kind and knowledgeable. Edit: Had to bring down my rating. Looks like all the experienced phlebotomists are kept for new donors. Last few times, I've ended up with an infiltrated (torn) vein or with both of my arms poked like a push pin cushion and bruised after some newbie swirled the needle inside my arms after they couldn't
Been donating multiple years here. Have always enjoyed the people working here. Kind and friendly. Changes in how plasma is taken leads to this negative review. I am donating 150 ml more than I was before. There are very vague answers as to this change ?The new policy is determined by your height, weight, and hermatocrit.? I'm 6? weigh 172 and hermatocrit in low 40s. Why would I be donating so much more? From 750 to 900 ml? Each week is a guess at what I'll be donating as well. So far it's been between
Normally this has been a fabulous donation center and the phlebotomists are great but I was using the app and one day it said I was deferred and I couldn't donate. Apparently they just needed an extra protein sample
I love donating here, but I dislike being pressured to leave a previous review. It makes me feel like I can't express my honest opinion about the service at this place. How can people feel comfortable being truthful if they are being harassed for their reviews?
Been going for two years in this stretch, and off an on for another 8 years before that. Only complaint is the new Persona program increased my donation amount from 800 to 1000 mL because of my height, so now a donation takes too long for me to get in before work. Employees top to bottom, such as medical staff Logan, are excellent and everything runs smoothly.
When I showed up to donate for the first time I was greeted by Abbys amazing smile and great attitude I felt so welcome. When I got back to do my donation Benjamin was so kind and has a Sick Mustache and answered all my questions. Amazing staff all around! THIS CENTER IS AMAZING!
Grifol Biomat is a great opportunity to make a little extra money while helping others! The hope is you never need it for yourself or a loved one. The employees are very kind, knowledgeable and personable. I just came in for a late appointment and realized it was my physical, which was done quickly and Professionally by Logan. Once I sat down, my phlebotomist for the day, Sydney did a stellar job with a stick, it was quick, painless and I got to see one of my favorite Employees Veronica?bonus!
I really enjoyed this center as far as first experienced go. It seems clean and well organized. Logan was such a great help from start to finish. I simply walked in to this center and am pretty content with my choice :)
I have been donating plasma for 3 years and Grifols Biomat is the best! Clean facilities, friendly staff, and good compensation for my time. The needles used to make me nervous but the staff have been great at walking me through it and helping me feel safe. I'm glad to donate each week and encourage others to do so as well. Shout out to Gregory and Anastasia for the consistently positive support and service!
Pretty clean. Logan was a kind enough soul to give me a water bottle with a cliff bar. (He also may or may not be bribing me with a candy bar for this review) They follow the European standards as well as the US's for plasma donation and requirements so it's a little more strict than other places. The pay seems to be better than CSL for return donors ($~120 as compared to $80 per week) The referral is also pretty good, you get $100 for each person referred. - if you're new, you should totally tell them tha
Super nice and friendly staff first time donating they made it a super understanding process answered all my questions and Logan was a great help walking me through the process definitely will come again
Abbie and Candice T were absolutely amazing to work with! Thanks to them I had a wonderful experience!
Logan was really kind with me. All the staff was really helpful. They take care of you all time. Recommended!
Sir Gregory was very kind, smooth and explained the process clear and swiftly. I appreciated his time in making my donation experience a 11/10.
I felt very welcome here. Immediately I was greeted by Logan and was given clear instructions as to what would be happening at this plasma center. A delicous cliff bar and water was given to me as well and I was thanked for being here. I will definitely be returning. The service was great.
Biomat in Sandy is the only place I will go to donate plasma. Everyone there is so kind but Abby the nurse made the experience amazing. She always greets you with a smile on her face! I love seeing her when I go. Such a wonderful place to go!
I had a great experience with Grifol?s in Sandy. I attempted to donate plasma 25 years ago, and had a bad experience, and have never desired to do it since. I recently decided to give it another try, and am glad I did. I've had a few employees help me during the on boarding process. Logan and Gregory were both amazing, and my phlebotomist Janet was awesome too. All very kind, thorough, and attentive. I am looking forward to more visits and good experiences!
Grifols in Sandy, has by far thee best customer service, && speedy overall experience. Super appreciated Gregory. As well as Ryan!!
I've donated over a year here at the Sandy location and have always had a good experience. Kind, attentive staff and a safe and clean environment.
Excellent job. Logan was very professional and efficient! The facility is clean and well arranged. All of the staff were pleasant and attentive.
Upon walking in I received the most warming welcome. The employees were very patient and helpful throughout the whole process they made my day better especially Courtney. The screening process took a lot less time than expected which is a plus, I really appreciate the welcoming/positive energy at this location
Got the opportunity to Donate Plasma for the first time at Grifols! I gotta say the service was awesome, it seemed like a great Environment to be in, and the experience was worth it! I want to thank Logan from the Sandy location for explaining how everything works, and the process of donating Plasma! I got to learn somethin' new out of this experience and would happily donate again to help someone in need!
Only place I'll donate. Everyone is so friendly, informative and efficient. I feel like I'm on good hands
Easy process, the staff were all pleasant and thorough. Logan helped with all my new donor stuff and was great.
This location is amazing! The staff is excellent and the experiences I have had are always great. Greg is a great CMS!
I always have such a great experience here. The staff is always super friendly!
The staff is super friendly and they explained everything with paciente. Logan was really nice and made me understand all the information!
Logan and Annie were amazing and took really good care of me!! Definitely a great center with great people
I donated there for the first time and I had a great experience with them. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Abby was especially great and made me feel very welcome and helped me feel comfortable with the process. Totally recommend Grifols ??
Had a great experience today! Gregory was a great help as I started donating again for the first time in a long time.
JAIDEN is amazing! She goes out of her way to help. Everyone here is so friendly and nice.
Best experience at a grifols! This Sandy Location really is amazing and I'm glad I switched centers. -They warn you about a wait time but honestly it's pretty fast so no complaints -friendly and helpful staff who helped me fix an issue in my profile -checked on me several times throughout the process and best of all! Remembered my latex allergy which has been an issue in the past for other centers. But they remembered here. I was in and out and feeling good with no bruises! Happy to be at the new center~
They changed their Kiosk system. Thank God for Courtney, she was a champ and patient when I was getting mad and frustrated with it.This was the Sandy location.
Visiting BM Sandy was a great experience. Also, Logan could clarify all information during my donation process. Thank you everyone!
Brandon did amazing. I was nervous and he was very calming and accommodating. He was a pro at the IV insertion!
Always been treated with respect here. People are nice. Logan is great. He is a walking medical encyclopedia and friendly
The staff are very friendly and the donation are quick.
I first started donating in the Cedar location for college, so you could imagine I was pretty nervous to transfer here. Great turnout though! The staff is lovely; they work fast, confidently, and know how to crack jokes and wear a smile. I feel very comfortable here and the place is super clean and organized. Wait times are fast and sticks are always on point. Keep up the great work, definitely coming in regularly!
The staff is always friendly and courteous. The wait time was a bit long today. Also, I did not appreciate donating a higher volume of plasma without being told ahead of time. If you change your process, you should inform the client and give them the option to continue or not. That was rather unprofessional. I left a bit lightheaded
Logan was very helpful giving me all of the information i needed and the whole process went really smooth from start to finish.
Always a great experience. Gregory was super kind tonight and helpful getting everything taken care of. It's a busy time of year but he made everything go smoothly
Very impressed with staff, very friendly and professional. Very helpful, fast & amazing Service. Very impressed with Logan. He's very knowledgeable, quick, friendly professional.??
Dustin the Nurse was super helpful every time I had any questions or concerns l, as was all the staff at the Sandy location.
The wait times are out of control! I scheduled an appointment for 8:30am and came 40 minutes early and it is now nine in the morning!
Love to donate at this center, they are very professional and efficient. Gregory was very helpful my last visit
Went here a couple weeks ago a few times, probably about 5. The last 2 times I went they had issues with putting the needle in and leaving it there for over half an hour not working before moving it around in my arm more times than it should?ve took. The last time I came I finished up and went outside where I immediately passed out on the sidewalk right outside of the doors and had no help until my ride arrived shortly after. Staff might need a bit more training with finding veins and making sure they work,
New machine update or whatever is making me not wanna come back. It isn't worth my time anymore. Took 2 hours to donate and they botched my vein. It's bruised beyond belief. Bye forever
I live in clearfield and I work in west valley and regardless of the fact that there are SEVERAL donation centers nearer to my home and work locations, I COME HERE. I'm very queasy with needles and nervous about basically all the parts of the exam and donation process? but I have been coming to sandy grifols for YEARS. They have a lovely facility and I feel like their staff are generally joyful, kind, and helpful, which helps me to feel more relaxed. I have never had a bad experience here and I recommend th
Only had wonderful experiences at this location. The staff is all very friendly. They are always looking for ways to make the donation experience more enjoyable and efficient. Having been to many other locations the Sandy center is the best.
Gregory is A+ employee. did my physical and got me going as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Super clean, explains everything in detail and does everything they can to make the process quick. Expect to be there about two hours your first time, since they need to make sure you can donate, etc. Courtney was there for most of my pre-donating process and she was awesome!! She made me glad that I gave it a try. I plan to make regularly come back due to this experience. Easy, plus you get to help people out by donating!
Grifols is very professional and helpful to make your donation process amazing. Courtney is very professional and helpful!
I've been coming here for over a year. I had some good experience with some of the staff but something consistent with this location is the waiting time. They take too long to check you in even if I get there before and they take 20-30 minutes at times to approach me when I'm in he bed waiting for one of them to acknowledge me and other people. Like I said not always too bad but seems like there could be room for improvement from my standpoint and that's why I decided to finally leave a review.
Speedy service and super kind staff. Gregory was amazing and explained things very well. He was super polite and answered all my questions!
Clean place. Staff is very polite. Gregory took good care of me .
Katy is such a good Phelb, I know I am in good hands with her! All the staff is professional and kind.
first time at this location and it was so smooth and amazing!! love the staff!! thank you guys so much??
DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! They promise prizes and extra money that they don't honor if you donate enough to reach the quota for a promotion they run. I donated enough blood to win a promotion to later be told they won't give me the reward or price, WITH NO EXPLANATION. They're scammers, I repeat DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION
Went through, it was fast, quick and easy. The staff are very kind, including Gregory who was very helpful!
I wasn't going to say anything, because I really wanted to come back and continue to donate, but my arm was so messed up 5 days ago on my first donation that they told me I couldn't donate today. The entire appointment up the donation was great, the staff was really nice and very accommodating. But the first woman who set me up had to mark several times where she would be inserting the needle. There was absolutely no technique in it, just a jab straight into my actual arm. The machine kept reading "no flow"
It was amazing for my first time. The staff was awesome at their job and they explained everything to me how it works and gave us snacks & drink was super generous. The place was clean and fast paced with a lot of people there. The only part I had problems with was the needles but I still went through and did it lol. I definitely love it! I will definitely be coming back again
the person who makes the information, I think he did not have the right patience to be able to help me, maybe because some questions I did not understand, I thought he could help me, but he told me, go to the Riverton place, since, there they speak Spanish.
Gregory was awesome! Very helpful throughout the whole process for me especially for it being my first time
I donated last year for about 3 months Today is my first day back. I like the new seating charts, it seems more organized. The wait time in the lobby wasn't as bad today as it has been in the past. With an appointment and a busy schedule it is a damper to your schedule when you have a long wait . The staff has always been friendly, to bad the first used to be $40 and the second for the week is $70, used to be $80 prices just keep going up.
Logan was great and very helpful, definitely worth coming out.
Gregory was super professional my first time back to donate! Definitely highly recommend this center ??
First time here, appreciated the process. It was thorough, professional and efficient. Gregory did a great job helping me through the process.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
