I've never had any bad problem with Grifols Biomat. The people that work there are respectful and careful at what they do. All of them are great people but I would have to say Star is my favorite
Extremely unprofessional plasma center. Busted my veins twice by digging into my arm. Broke my wife?s blood sample vial and put her on a 2 month deferral list when she was referred to get us extra money her second donation. Two donations 3 people without proper phlebotomy training.
I've always had good experiences at Grifols...well, there was one time when I infiltrated but it was my fault because I jumped when I was stuck and the needle wasn't set right. They wrapped it up and I was able to donate successfully on the opposite side. The staff is always friendly, comical, and caring. I actually look forward to my donation days. Of course the cash helps, but it's also pretty cool hanging out with the "Grifols Gang"! Good people and good service and there's always a good laugh at some
Although friendly, the staff need more training. This is the second and last time I will be returning. I had my vein blown twice now resulting in severe pain and excessive bruising. I just don't trust this place anymore.
These people never answer the phone, it's like pulling teeth. They also lie about the amounts, im short almost $30 when I was guaranteed something more. Don't waste your time coming here
Dehumanizing experience and cruel staff. It was like a bunch of "mean girls" working tonight. They messed up and couldn't deal so they got nasty with me. Don't recommend this place.
I've been going for over 5 years. I took a break, now that I'm back I must say seeing Mrs. Krista & Ms. Karen is always a pleasure they are professional and insightful.
The place is clean the customer service there is A1! They make you feel comfortable each time I went the atmosphere of greatness and at ease place would recommend them
The people working there are rude. I set an appointment, still have to wait 30 minutes before going to the back. Get to the back and I watch a whole row of people that was seated after me get, get started before me.
Donated today at Grifols and as always was an easy and painless donation with Star. All of their phlebotomists are great and never bruise me. Best plasma center in town by far.
I love Grifols! The people there treat you like family and not an inconvenience. Everyone is nice as well as fellow donors. I would recommend to all my friends and family to choose this plasma center. My first donation I almost passed out and Starr cared for me the rest of the way.
I as.cust there over twenty years and can't conf appointment on line ask about at desk call to make appointment no one answer go by nasty attitude behind the desk I'll never go bac
Clean, friendly , and always a positive experience from every staff member.
Love love love grifols this best center there is very fair very loving caring staff .
They need new machines they believe all computer are exact on everything nothing wrong with my blood pressure.
Professional, nice, it doesn't hurt too when they put the needle in. Every plasma center needs to adopt their method.
Great staff and wonderful company but needs more payments for returns
Great friendly place to donate I love going there
This place is nothing more than a punishment for the poor. I came in at 7:15am and there was literally nowhere to sit it was so packed. In the waiting lobby they had one of the staff taking down a Christmas tree and decorations like that was really the priority. I ended up leaving at 10:30am because I have to work from 11:45am-1pm and I hadn't been stuck yet so there was no way I would have made it on time. After work I come straight back(1:15pm at the latest) and it was even worse. I'm leaving again now at
What a wonderful first experience biomat USA on West Tennessee is a beautiful place to save lives, Special thanks 2: ?May?
Clean facility and friendly staff! Quick to get in and out! Easy $$$!
This place is severely poorly managed. It's not the techs. They work hard and get things done. I for the life of me can not understand why there are 5 people in managenent just walking around but only 3 techs working the floor. I've never seen any business where management wasn't trained to jump into any position if needed to help out. Not here. 5 people in management just sitting around talking or walking in circles. Pitiful. Will be transferring to a different facility.
i got here at 9, hoping that even tho there's a lot of people here the employees would do their jobs and get people in and out in a timely manner, but i was wrong. didn't get into a bed until nearly 12 and then i?ve been sitting on this bed for over thirty minutes and have yet to get hooked up to a machine; the employees are just walking around not doing their jobs, talking to one another and joking around. this is very unprofessional and i will not be coming back.
this place is literally horrible, i went to the grifols in Sarasota and was in and out in 40 minutes the staff was nice and everything was straightforward, but at THIS LOCATION??, I am typing this from the waiting chair , it is 1pm i got here at 10:30 am and I only need to do one more donation so I transferred here for my last one and lord is this so bad. They forgot about me so a lot of donors cut me in line and the smell in here is putrid. There is no acknowledgment or help with what to do if it's your fi
I have been here for a few months and I love the back of the house staff. However the ladies at the front desk are rude and they act like they are doing you a favor by even talking to. It's very unprofessional.
Got here before 9:30, walked out at 11:15 because I still hadn't started. Said they hook me up to the donation machine after 1 person, 30min later still waiting. Either employees do not care or theyre understaffed/grossly mismanaged. Possibly both, leaning mismanaged. Went downhill after the past year. I've been here before when the entire waiting room in the front was full and didn't even have to wait this long. This poor service and long wait time is unexcusable
Not much professionalism here. I went for my second donation ever and it was a tremendous waste of time. I had a vip pass and a vip pass here means nothing. I had to wait just like everyone else and finally after 45 minutes I was called to the back. Here they realized they got my weight wrong by 100 lbs! But instead of correcting their mistake, they just cancelled my visit and said "You can go sign up and wait again". Not even given a vip pass this time. I couldn't do it. It just not worth it to give up 2-3
This place is amazing. So professional and everyone there is very kind and helpful. Sometimes they're short of staff but you just have to be understanding. I usually go in the morning but with my experience the wait is never bad. I enjoy coming here a lot.
Employee in Desiree is rude & needs to be trained for customer service & properly explain the information she is instructing others to perform while guiding. This process could be so much better, especially with someone that enjoys their job. Spoke to manager and she could careless as well, didn't fully understand what I was explaining & just shrouded it off & just kept repeating the policy which had nothing to do with Desiree?s customer service skills.
crazy understaffed and causing long wait times of 2.5-4 hours for one visit - for $50? Not worth it. The workers are great but there are too few of them. management needs to offer more pay
The problem with this place is that they were the only plasma center in Tallahassee for quite a long time. That ' we don't need you you need us mentality. They act like they don't even want you in there.
Great place its just when u get your blood pressure checked and it says 120/110 it could be a computer default if no one has ever had that high of blood pressure so waiting 15 minutes to try again is insane. Computers, phones and devices mess up everyday why say its the patient when you can simply try again to see if it's patient or computer default. Don't waste ppl time like that when u can simply try again cause when we in the back and they mess up sticking us we don't have to 15 minutes for a restick. Wh
Lazy, slow and inconsistent with their process. No one should check in and have to sit 1hour and 30 minutes to begin the process.we schedule our donation and expect for them to be on schedule as well.
I was asked on Friday to return Monday at 6 am , woke up at 5 to make sure I was not late . When I got there the lady front desk send me back home because she was alone and could handle 2 people that were there , not busy at all and she sent me home. I just called to speak to a manager suddenly by a miracle 6:20 am she tells me she will take me now after she just sent me home . I will talk to a manager this is a joke ! Gas ?? it's not free lady ! Updated / Labor Day Is more than obvios that your workers ar
If your looking for efficient, this just isn't the place. Staff constantly walking around but nobody working. Your going to be sitting there as if your a new donor every time .
Absolutely terrible customer service. Went twice to try and donate the first time the lady was very rude, was there for 2 hours filling out paper work for them to finally tell me that I would have to bring a birth certificate because my middle initial on my social security card was not the same on my driver?s license and I explained that obviously I was now married the lady said she didn't care that I could not donate unless I brought a birth certificate. Left and came back again today to be lied to that I
Wonderful and friendly staff. However the building is not nearly as nice as Gainesville or Melbourne locations. It's kinda run down and stinks. The bathrooms are horrible and usually the toilets are out of order or clogged. The stall door doesn't lock. The beds are old. Would be a much better place if they would update it. And do some.remodeling. Then I'd go 5 stars.
I have been sitting here since 2:45.there are total of 6people in entire place.sat here and watched 4people pick my chart up and I am still not in system.they appeared to have lots of workers but no work getting done. Chris is a great worker And seems to be pulling the weight of entire staffthey are stating that I will not be done till after 1830..this time frame is absolutely ridiculous. I am now being informed I may not be taken due to fact staff is unable to find an old chart.really?after I informed them
I have been coming to grifols for 3 years and never had customer service as bad as it is now . The staff goof off like you don't have anything else to do. You sit and wait for almost 2 hours after being in the waiting area to get stuck by the needle. They let you sit with a cold needle in your arm soon as your done donating. It's unprofessional. It's sad that we have to be polite when there is no empathy for the patients.
This past Tuesday I had the Absolute Best donation experience EVER!!! The Phelebotomist's name was "Denysha" and she was sweet, kind, and very professional. Despite her own physical pain she made it a breeze. I barely felt the 'stick', and when I was done the removal was flawless! I had to commend her for an Excellent Job! The staff is always nice and friendly, but this was ONE FOR THE BOOKS! Thanks Denysha!!! ??
I've let them know I was allergic to iodine and got swabbed with iodine on three occasions!!! I get very sick afterwards and spend the rest of my day recovering. It was accidents but it just sucks on my end because i literally say to them ? I'm allergic to iodine? all I get is I'm sorry and a wipe off
I always set aside at least three hours to come up here and have still been positive even through rude employees and being skipped for hours i just thought that im here to make money its not going to be convenient. However, today was my breaking point with this place. I arrived around 10.45 to 11.00. I filled out my questions, received my arm band, and sat down with a book to pass the wait. After two hours, around 1:00 i went and aakes the nurse how many more people were before me because i was being skipp
The facility is clean, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and while sometimes the wait can be a little long I never felt like I was waiting because of lazy employees. The staff always seemed to be working quickly and efficiently. It was a very good experience.
The wait time in the front lobby is over 3 hours. I understand that this place must be short staffed, but come on. There have benn 5 V. I. P.s called in a row.
85% of the staff is extremely rude and straight up just ignore the donors. Went more than 3 times on the same day, each time they told me the doctor would be done in an hour, but each time I came they would push it back another hour. They clearly don't value peoples time or their donation.
I have only been going here for about a year, but it is helpful to have a place to get a little extra money by helping others. If you are not a patient person, or are often in a hurry, don't bother. They have changed the check in procedure and it is often only a two hour process, start to finish. The employees are the same as any other group of people: most are professional and polite, some are not. I have noticed if you just stay calm and are understanding when an error is made, they are willing to correct
I tried donating a good 3 times at this location and was turned away each time which I don't really mind except that the first 2 times I was told to come earlier and was STILL turned away when I came in a 1pm and was told to come LATER. Not to mention that there was literally only 2 people waiting. Its like the staff have no respect for peoples time at all. If I had the time to come in when they open I would, but it isn't possible if you have other responsibilities
Was there about 3 weeks ago , lady at reception let people come in and jump ahead of people. I signed in at 11:21, at 2:26 I was called . But after I , and seven other people complained of being skipped . After signing in the kiosk and answering the ?'s error response came up on screen directing me to administer , at this time I was informed I had to come in the next day. I asked them since I was unaware of this policy could they maybe have let me know this on my last visit , my schedule has changed. I alwa
Systems down all morning. Drove in and waited at least 2 hours and left . Called before I went back and was told they were about to call me anyways so I made the trip back then was told I was a day early. Yall know gas high right? Yall know people struggling right ? Yall seem to be overwhelmed by the numbers of people trying to come in. Maybe come up w a new system of handling things because it's starting to get old and frustrating .
I love coming to this place. the staff is amazing. They seem to love their job and they look they have fun with each other but with all the donors . we are more then just donors to them we are family with out us we wouldn't be able to save lifes and without the proper care and detailed procall donation would not be possible. I love how thorough they are super clean they never miss a beat . always on point . Love ya all
They workers don't know what they be doing. They talk and laugh over you. They rush throughout the process And they don't pay enough. They have different ppl stick a needle in you and most of them apply worse and not needed pressure. They should make the workers train more because if they stick the needle in the wrong way you'll be on the bed 45 mins longer than expected. they need more supervision and they should take this job very seriously.
While some of the staff need additional training in customer service, there are a few that prove to be very hard workers. Becky has acted above and beyond on countless occasions. Her kindness is always much appreciated.
Consistent way to earn money for a few hours of your time. Depending on the rate and the amount of time total. Say $50 them $75 for a total of 4 hours a week. It's a good deal.
Unprofessional to say the least. Employees let their friends cut line. The building is ghetto and ratchet. I'm been here since 11am and I have yet to be seen, its 2:20pm. After they see me it will be another 45mins to an hour to donate. Instead of working the hang out in the hall way talking. Today I listened to them discuss love and hip hop with each other instead of running screenings. Currently I'm in the facility and they are screaming across the donation center their plans of visiting the fair. I can'
The wait times are ridiculous... They say typically an hour for regular donors but you are literally waiting for over an hr and thirty mins in the lobby and then about 30 min in the second lobby before they call your name to go to the donor bed ???? I would recommend increasing donors pay by 30$(1st visit needs to be -$80 & for 2nd visit- $105) for each visit of the week ..so it would be worth actually coming because this would drive alot of people away with how things are being ran here .. ya'll would lose
Beware if your homeless or live in a homeless shelter (which has an address by the way) . They straight up said you can't donate because I live in a homeless shelter, they did not test me for anything; they had me sign paperwork for first time donor because I never donated plasma before. I waited two hours and got told I can't donate because I'm living in a homeless shelter. It be nice if their terms and conditions and their paperwork stated that they don't accept people living at a shelter and would not ha
Friendly informative staff. Come in prepared and you'll have a smooth time here. Made me feel so comfortable as a new donor and made my decision to donate feel appreciated. I will be back to complete all of the 8 donations needed to make an impact ??
Ive had to sit up here for 8+ hours one day just for them to send me home. I come back as one of the first people there a few days later and proceeded to have just about everyone who arrived after me (30+ mins after) get called back and give their plasma and leave before I was ever called. This is quite literally one of the most unprofessional and disorganized plasma centers Ive ever seen. Ridiculous.
Not terrible not great either. It simply takes far to long to get to the actual donation process. On an average day(If you're a return donor) it'll take between 2 1/2-4 hours. Nearly 2 of those hours is just waiting to sign into the kiosk! Another 15-30 mins for them to call your name to the back and if and I mean if you're not deferred(can't donate that day) for some reason or another(low iron, low protein, extremes in temperature, pulse too high) then you'll be sent back to the bed area and possibly wait
If I could give a 0 I would. This center is an embarrassment to Grifols. I donated at a previous center in another state for nearly two years and was confident every time in the cleanliness of the facility and the competence of the employees. I donated here 2 1/2 times and will never go back. If you value your safety, or your veins at the very least, NEVER DONATE AT THIS CENTER. I really needed the money and the pay is pretty good for your first two donations so I was willing to overlook several things
This place is one of the worst places I have had the privilege of entering. The people are nice but the way the whole system works is janky what kinda prepaid card that you dont even use and have cancelled still gonna charge you from something several months ago
Amazing customer service, fast and efficient! Ella, joy, chassidy are amazing at sticking and make the experience fast and pleasant. Not to mention they are great to talk to while they set you up.
They move a little slow in the morning time but other than that I had a great experience.
Went in on March 30th for the new patient March special they had going. Waited hours only to be told I could NOT donate because of the risk of an Asthma Attack caused from the machine removing the medication from my blood. Was told to wait 7 days for the medication to leave and it would be safe to donate. I went to the other plasma donation center and they had no issue with my albuterol medication. TODAY (7 days later)I waited from 545 a.m until 1013a.m to be told that since I went to another location over
They have people in the sticking folks and don't know what they are doing. They had to so call ?fix? the needle in my arm and I felt every move of that needle in my arm.
This grifols location is actually extremely qualified. I have visited countless times, and only once did I have any issues. The needle hadn't been put in correctly, but after noticing my discomfort, and the slow flow, they pulled out the needle, switched arms, and stopped the vein infiltration before it became an issue. I had no bruises, they simply had me keep bandages on both arms. Overall, I would recommend this location to any body looking to donate.
The phlebotomist's constantly talk to one another even when there is a donor needing attention or when a machine requires something. They curse, talk bad about others, and generally don't do a good or knowledgeable job. I will admit, I have tough veins, but for people who stick others for a living, I shouldn't have had to be stuck twice by two different people and even when I was stuck initially they still had to move the needle around in my arm to find the vein. The people in the front, doing your physical
My name is Michelle Wisehart and I love saving lives by having the opportunity to donate plasma at Biomat in Tallahassee, Florida. I am always happy to see such a welcoming and wonderful staff that truly cares about each and every donor. They all love what they do and it shows through their dedication to their roles in the facility. Thank you so much for your service. It is a blessing to me to be able to be part of this to help as many people as possible. God bless.
I've donated at Grifols 3 times. Each time has been pleasurable, as the staff are very light-hearted and it's very welcoming to see the phlebotomist and patients all interact. I like the way the phlebotomist know the majority of their clients and they all interact on a personal level.
After donating for over a year, I continue to go back biweekly because the staff are super friendly, they care about the donors, and the payouts help fund my Disney trips ??. I used to donate blood every 8 weeks, but I prefer the experience of donating plasma! Also they hired more phlebotomists and the wait times have been reduced tremendously!!
This place is terrible. I've been going a few times. First they messed up my fiance's donation and only paid her half. When the plasma bottle is filled over half it states in that it is full compensation. That was theft. They turned me down for slight bruising, and before they didn't turn me down for brusing. Then this wasn't enough. They hooked me up incorrectly and the machine was not acting right. I ended up losing a lot of blood and had to do a transfusion at capital medical. Also a friend of ours has r
When I sold my plasma to Grifols, I didn't have such a good experience. My veins were supposedly too small and couldn't really get a good flow. Now two weeks late, I am finding little small bruises on my are when they had to stick me in the other arm. I almost passed out because I I wasn't getting blood pumped back into my body because either the machine malfunctioned or the needle left my arm. I ended up leaving without the rest of my blood because I didn't want them to stick a third time, which made me no
Informed staff of the antibiotics I was on, what they were for and then was told to read a handbook and wait. Waited for forty minutes to be taken into a room and told I was deferred, effectively wasting my time as they could have told me initially that this was the case.
This place used to be great now it's a joke , nurses want to be doctors and phlebotomist think they are nurses there is always one or two people working hard and the others standing around talking, I could name names but I won't I use to could donate in a hour or 2 now it takes three hours or more because of the staff being unorganized and either talking or standing around and the other few staff running crazy and working too hard without help, they really need to do some firing and rehiring and get this p
DONT NEVER ANSWER CALL AND SLOW PACE
They have a signup sheet out front 30 minutes before they open so you can register and not lose your place in line( great idea) . They were friendly , professional and efficient!! Great deals for plasma donations right now!!
The worse place ever the reason they said they can't take me 3 other places said that's a lie I hope the go outta business soon or get people who actually want to work and not make excuses to keep from having to do so
Luckily I've had a pleasant experience recently since my 2nd donation and have been paid in full each time. Will plan to visit more often when possible.
Long wait times not the happiest of workers always feel not welcome or rushed or like I'm bothering them if they don't want to work why be there for select few there awesome
Understaffed, alleays a ridiculous wait time, and even the vip passes only work for one line, still having to wait in another ridiculous line in the back. Dont waste your time, worst plasma donation place in tallahassee.
I've been here from the first day we opened the center this marks 10 years, 3 months and 4 days. I've had my share of ups and downs but that's all jobs I love what I do and encourage others to either donate or seek employment
You really don't know how well this plasma center is doing till you go to a different center. Other centers will make donors stand indefinitely, offer poor service and be rude all around and have no staff for fluctuating numbers- and no chairs @BPL. This center is definitely better .
Service could be better at times but for the most part really good people there, everyone is different and I can be annoying but it shouldn't matter, great staff good leadership just some people like Ms.Pamela May rub you wrong but everyone approaches there jobs differently.
Professional staff, they make it as easy an pain free as possible. Ms Christian is very pleasant, very happy when she's helping me.
To people reading the 1-2 star reviews and are getting nervous about vein infiltration, do not be. What youre doing is donating to a very noble cause that evens earns you some decent beer money on the side. The people that work at grifols know what they are doing and you are in good hands. Dont let the needle phobias and hypocondriacs scare you. Ive donated consecutively for months at a time and ill give it to you straight. 1. You need your social security card or proof of your tally residence. No if ands
This was my first experience donating plasma and every employee, Tamika specifically, made it a very pleasant one. Will definitely be coming back.
This place is great everyone is friendly and even when it is very busy they do their best to make sure you have the smoothest experience possible. Love this place
Great side job if you dont mind the needle poke. Average about 400 a month 2 times a week about 1.5 hrs per visit.. no taxes either
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
