Unorganized. How you going to send client away because your computers are lagging, call them to come back 5 min later, and then expect them to redo the entire intake process all over again to waste my time. Not a great impression to give a first time donor.
Staff is nice, center is really clean. No complaints!
Best Plasma Donation Center I've been too! The staff are amazing and friendly, and make my visit a comfortable experience while having some fun too ?? Miranda and Helen are the sweetest people in the whole building. Give them a raise!
They're okay until you call them they don't never pick up the phone like it's Sunday and I wanted to make sure of something and ain't even pick him up the phone so they found communication sucks ????????????
Tasha is a very caring, attentive, and compassionate phlebotomist! I have never experienced this quality of service at a plasma center. She went above and beyond! I feel she gives her best in her profession. I felt more comfortable at any other plasma center in Toledo.
The staff are great! The service is fast, and the pay is fantastic! Still LOVE the staff! And the speed of service is great. Miss the really good bonuses they use to have but the staff have nothing to do with that.
If I could give a 0 ?? I would. I reported the RN that was there numerous of time's. Once for her comments about me. Then another for fraudulent numbers. I explained this to the manager(Apples). But it seemed to go over her head. I suggested anyone who wants to donate somewhere and not have to provide any extra attention to anyone for respect. DONT GO TO BIOMAT ON DORR!
My journey started over a year ago at this location The stuff is amazing very easy on the poking friendly funny and an all-around good clean environment if you need anything there is always someone in eye range to come running to your aid I'm ready to continue to donate here for many years to come
First time donors get 100 dollars for first 5 visits. This would be my Second time donating plasma and I had an awesome experience. I live 30 minutes away from town so before I decided to travel I called the facility spoke with staff in what I will be needing in regards to being eligible to donate plasma. They said to bring my ID and SS card or birth certificate. Clean facility, staff is great at sanitation of the equipment used, and donating areas.Staff is very friendly. I only have one complaint and that?
No, good they lie & are evil people never go to this place.
I came in after 3pm attempting to donate for the very first time. The process for new donors is very in-depth and takes a good hour plus. Half of their staff was about to leave for the day and only one nurse was available to do the new donor process and they still squeezed me in. All of the staff was very professional and friendly. Most of the bad reviews are from people that were rejected from donating and are disgruntled because they were counting on the compensation. The staff has nothing to do with any
I'm a first time donor and I can say this place is great. Monday will be like my sixth time going and it's almost always in and out fairly quick. They have a wonderfull staff. Not sure about most of the donors tho. Lol lot of strange characters. But yes it's easy money and you are helping to save lives. Thank you to all the staff and keep up the good work!!
good for the most part. comfortable and clean and safe feeling but doesn't pay as much as other plasma donation centers like CSL plasma for example. still good place though.
This saddens my heart. I've been on a spiritual journey and am working on giving to attract more positive vibrations in my life. I've never been able to donate due to low iron. I've finally got my iron at good levels and was excited to try donating again. I called ahead of time to see the cut off for new donors. It was 2pm. Upon arriving before 2pm, it only took 2mins for this good deed to turn into an embarrassing situation for me. Customer service is NOT their cup of tea. The lady, who I greeted very n
I am getting a lawyer and shutting this place down. The manager is very disrespectful and a lier. Deferred me trying too say I stolen 20 dollars from him and that I was dishonest and that was not the case he had me running back and forth to Dorr st and all the way to Oregon,OH for paperwork that I get from my doctor that explains its lock jaw and that it's okay to donate but the paperwork was not good enough for them so I had to go back and get more paperwork and it was not even good enough for them a secon
Took 5 hours to get registered the first time in. When they finally did get around to putting the needle in my arm, they infiltrated the vein so they switched to my left arm. The staff barely pays attention once you're seated and it's hard to get their attention. They seemed to always be on break. One of them even complained of that very thing. I had a better customer service experience when I donated blood at the Red Cross. Maybe we get treated like less because we get paid (workers think donors act entitl
Clean, safe, organized, employees well trained and helpful Just some of the employees are extremely obnoxious and ghetto and unprofessional. When I first walked in, I almost walked right out as soon as I talked to the first person because of how unprofessional they were. Yelling across the waiting room and back of the place to each other, laughing loud, not making a sincere effort to talk to donors, and just being obnoxious. But all the nice nurses and how well it went was worth it.
Update: Just came back here to donate again for the first time in about three years and I was one, very happy to see that the majority of the staff from back then is still there, two, despite not having alot of staff they still got me and others in and out in a quick manner, and last but not least, they were very nice and respectful. Seriously guys I would totally go here over that circus on Reynolds Road even if u got to go out ur way it's worth it I walk from heatherdowns and Cheyenne just to go here it's
Every time I go here there is an issue. Either they didn't pay me correctly or they take back everyone else in front of me and they take forever to hook you up and unhook you. My husband and I go at the same time. Even if I get done at the kiosk first they take him back and hook him up. By the time he is done I am at halfway when I should've been done way before him. The place is a joke. I'm a pretty positive person but this place really does frustrate people. Not all people get the same treatment as I did.
I've donated 8 times in December but I didn't receive my bonus because of a computer error on their part that happened earlier in the month but I was reassured every time even the ladt time I would receive the bonus . So basically they screwed me out of 100 and there's nothing they can do . The staff is nice the only reason I gave 2 stars.
Waited over 2 1/2 hours to fill out paperwork. And still Staff was feeling on each other and went to a back back room for several minutes. Had a funky odor and messy clothes once they resurfaced. Asked a staff who i complain to and she gave me the number to the center. Maybe if i was a crack/meth/heroin addict i would of gotten in faster like the others.
Scammers, was going to sign up and donate along with my spouse until they began shorting him every donation, they have these bonuses posted but will not pay out more than maybe $45 if you get lucky, you will never see any more even if they promised more and even if you donated twice in one week to get the bonuses, they will claim you didn't show up on the right days of the week or whatever excuse to not pay you. I highly recommend going elsewhere.
I think this is a good place to donate plasma. You just got to get to know the ladies, and they are all just so friendly! Every time I go I feel comfortable and relaxed. I don't care about what anyone else says about this place, all I know is that there is people just like me who agree this is one of the best centers and best group of people on staff! Thank you Biomat USA!!
This place truly sucks. My husband has been donating here for 3 years, it's now 2017, and they just now defer him for a tongue piercing that he received in 2013 before he ever began donating. But because they did their paperwork wrong it was never in his file that he had a piercing. The new manager Theresa sucks bad and the whole place in ran horribly. All the staff talks bad about her but they are afraid to stand their ground. One staff member stood her ground about how bad Theresa but she was fired. I per
I originally went to CSL and was told to drink a gallon of water and come back the next day. I went directly to Biomat and they did it with ease!!! They were very respectful and professional. I would highly recommend you go to them first before any of the other places. Thanks for making the process a pleasurable one!!!
Awful. The wait was long they got my paperwork all done then told me I couldn't donate because I've had a ear piercing within the last 12 months. And I got my ear pierced at claires and Biomat needed a certificate of sanitary tools they use and I provided the information and they still didn't let me donate!!
"If we miss your veins due to not paying attention or listening to a customer when they say their veins go a certain way, its totally not our problem. Maybe you should consider not donating if youre gonna question how we do our jobs." -Biomat feb 20 2023
First time I came I'm, a tall blonde female front desk worker was yelling at everyone. She came off as very aggressive and rude. She shouldn't think less or treat others less than, just because they need some extra cash.
LESS THAN ONE STAR> Google requires a star in order to post. Absolutely horrible experience. Ridiculous wait times three to four times those quoted on there website. Horrific lack of professionalism by all workers. Complete disregard for the donors time. Zero accountability for this plasma collection centers inability to meet its own obligations in regards to accomodating donors. My last donation (and the last straw) occurred for me when I foolishly donated late on a sunday of a holiday weekend, and was n
I called multiple times and nobody would answer the phone. Nobody would come up to the front desk despite them seeing me from the far back room. Incredibly unprofessional. I didn't even have the chance to donate!
Soooo... I donated 7 times between jan and feb of this year, went back in september as a new donor only to find out i was "on hold" to have my veins checked bc of resticks. I only got restuck once. When they checked me they saw a bruise on my vein which was from an ER visit. They wanted verification from the ER. However after my arms were looked at they were both deemed "yellow". I came back 3 days later with the paper from the ER and figured id be fine. Nope. They saod they had to look at my veins again. T
DO NOT GO HERE the staff is extremely rude if ur a new donor but they are only nice to regulars this was my first experience attempting to donate plasma me and my boyfriend were both doing it to have money for our car insurance and we live about 30 minutes away and the first time we came on we got there at 2 and were told we had to make an appointment and come back so we do and we get there 10 minutes before our time and we find out we need our social security cards and the lady tried to give me attitude an
Completely understaffed with excessive wait times. I have been donating over a year and totally disgusted with this place. I WILL say the few people they do have employed are friendly.
They don't call people in order and you need to check if they pull your folder. Even if there's 2 people at the desk no1 will ask why you're there. There's little to no organization so expect to be there for a majority of your day. Not everyone is inept here Been going since October of 2018, only reason I go is to help with living expenses so I need to go
They need a better solution on making sure people are passing out their flyers. This lady came up to and asked me can she give me a flyer and take a picture with me so her "boss" could know she is passing out flyers, before I could give a yes or no the lady with the camera was already taking a freaking picture of me. I don't appreciate that mess! This business is not professional of who they are having people, not even in uniform looking any ole way do this! I'm already not in the mood for the shananigans t
The staff is fantastic didnt take long at all. The main thing is it's takes them so long to compensate you I got done donating at 5:20 and it's now going on 7oclock and I still haven't been compensated
This one star, is only for the techs/stickers, I love them, but otherwise, very unorganized! A donor shouldn't have to sit for 45mins, before they're even screened, nor should they be spoken to disrespectfully, by management, n that's whats running the donors away!
Biomat does NOT allow appointments. Only the one down Dorr, near McD's requires appointments. And yes it can take 5+ hours for a new donor. You are also told to get to the center before they open to get in and out. The longer you wait as a new donor to get into the center, the longer you will be there. First come First Served. Next time make sure you review the correct center. Also you do NOT get perm. deffered for 2 recations. I have had 2 and NEVER defered. The person that made that review is tot
Very professional center clean kind fast friendly staff always checking up on the patients each and everyone all the time there always smiling Im scared of those needles but once the staff greet you then you go through the processes of there kindness and concerns about you which is nice and thank you then your greeted by more kind professional management and staff then I'm given funny movies on by the time I don't look at the needle plus if you look away be still let the do there jobs be patient and kin
I've been donating plasma since I was 18yrs old now I'm 23yrs old alot has change at both centers in Toledo OH but only for the better sometimes staff members take there time doing DC and say that they are busy at the time they'll be with you in just a second that's a lie when I literally observe the entire donor floor every time I'm there no they talk laugh and chit chat but other then that this place is a really good place to donate I would recommend patience with some staff members
Some staff is cool other than that is isn't worth it to donate their they average $1000 after a person donates 3 times and they don't always follow through on bonuses I have been donating awhile now it just isn't worth it anymore I won't go back.
I give 0 stars if i could they don't deserve to be open if they just want to not do there job right and them being rude to me i have disability to and then telling me that i can't do it because i have high blood pressure which i don't they did that to me like 20 times already so i would not be going back there at all because of all of them have a good life biomat
They have some great workers. I enjoy coming and seeing smiles n laughing. I recommend this one very professional.
They were supposed to send me a letter in the mail so I could come back and donate and they never did. I had to go back up there and have them re do it and still never received any letter and it's not because of my location . They were a haste of time and gas
This place is ridiculously under managed can't donate because my first time they blew my one vein Dr had to review my paper work he signed off on it but didn't sign the damn paper work now I have to wait another week??? I don't think so I'll find elsewhere to go!!?
Staff is wonderfully goofy which makes the experience much nicer. Sometimes a longer wait but that should be expected when there are more people ahead of you.
I was going after work on Monday and Thursday, when it was time to get my yearly physical there's never a nurse available in the evening. They said to come on my day off ??????. Or 6:30 am Seriously?????
Been to both dorr street ones in Toledo,OH they are good at there jobs
They never busy all like that, dont pick up the phone and defer people for reasons they shouldn't be deferred by. The people definitely don't care. I'd prefer talecris or csl
I go for a couple hours, get paid. Its not great but it helps. First time takes forever, but after that they're pretty fast. Not bad for what it is.
Making everybody go to apps when everybody doesn't have phones to use apps, and sometimes the apps don't even pull up so they're taking the kiosk away and people that can't pull up their apps. Can't donate that's bull.
In and out. Nowhere near as busy as the CSL I used to go to in Michigan. It's so nice. The staff are all really nice too.
I love the staff. Amazing people. My only complaint is no one answers the phone in the morning..
They said i cant get paid do they messing my arm up an i didnt get the money they said i was gone get i don't recommend them an they scratch me on the inside of my arm an told me thats the risk im taking donating with them
w Bouns wastwas oncon there I donated sun and gotta wait til mon because there closed and told me it's go on when they close...... Yes got a good response management team... Thank you and because they made right I'll continue to help an stay at that facility
Great place to come and save a life employees are very nice they do their best to make you comfortable and get you in and out in a timely fashion would have given ten stars ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? if i could....??????
Very unprofessional and rude from the beginning. I was not treated like a person giving to save lives, instead I was treated like an inmate or junky that needed them. Very disappointed and violated!
People complain about the Wait all the time but what you need to realize is this is a medical facility with protocols that have to be followed it takes time... If you don't need the money then don't go but If you then don't complain
I was very lucky that I went in when it wasn't busy. Took me about 2 hours to finish this whole process!! Which was way less than I expected
They never answer the phone. The point of calling into a business is to avoid an unnecessary trip across town.
Been coming for a few months. So far it's been great. Get to help people out and get to make a extra few bucks...no bad.
They give bonuses at there covenant There are more Friendly centers On dorr & Collingwood & Alexis & Lewis Try one them
I had a terrible experience at this place being the 1st time. Some phlebotomist don't know what they're doing. The manager is very rude. Never again!!!
Never going back there again because it was there mess up poking me and I didn't get all my pay and I think it's messed up
I have been donating twenty five years in Toledo Ohio Ashland City Park and Secor
Not satisfied because we are deaf and they made us wait for long sometime said can't do today waste my 55 minutes walk to this damn place. Lame
Staff some are good and some are not but the overall it's ok your saving life's ....not a job not worth it for the smaller amount first this week
My bike got stolen there one time and they didn't have cameras outside of the building to check who Took my bike kind of upsetting
They don't never answer the phone. They're staff is cool. They have there ups and downs tho.
I Haven't Had No Problems Or Concerns I Had A Accident (My Fault) 1x But No Bad Remarks Towards Them Their Staff Wonderful ????
Great vibes, organized and the workers are amazing too!! Highly recommended to anyone ready to help save lives!
Great staff, simple process, great money for new donors that first month.
The place is dirty the stuff was rude thank God I don't go there anymore csl is sooo much cleaner and the staff is Soo much friendlier..thanks csl
My husband's been here since 830 am it's 2:03 and still hasn't been called back! This is ridiculous!
I like the employee s some are very nice, some r not, its worth it.
Great experience. Very friendly and went smoothly ??
This place is slow there workers are rude as hell they meagremake you wait for at least 15 minutes before they unhook you knowing how cold that saline is I recommend going to the new
Its sad you have to sit and wait an hour and the wonder why your b.p. is low well it won't be now w the frank
Great staff and very clean. Show real respect to all.
Wonderful, clean, helpful and professional. Friendly, family-like atmosphere.
The staff is very friendly, and when I go there is not a long wait.
Very nice people. Very clean. And never wait long.
Ms. Rose and crew are fantastic! The process is quick and easy!!
Screening process the lady was rude saying she got that way because of other clients
They get me in and out good fast experience
Extremely rude and inefficient. Worst plasma center ive been to
Was in an out quick but the paying part takes forever
Try to call them and the phone just rings what happened to customer service
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
