Feels like a family reunion twice a week and all of my favorite people are always there in great moods! Honestly the staff makes donating so worth while on top of the funds.
First time donating and lost consciousness at very end. I'm a future physician trying to raise money before I start residency. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin school of medicine medical doctor program 2 weeks ago. I am not afraid of blood at all I have been a part or many surgeries so that is not the reason I passed out?.. They took almost a liter of blood at a very fast rate for the last 15 mins because I wasn't giving blood fast enough - and at the end I passed out! It's very hard for me to p
Overall, it wasn't a painful experience and it went better than it normally does however, I mentioned over five times during the selection process that I was expecting $100. No one corrected me till I was already completely finished with the donation that I would only be receiving $55 even though I haven't been there in over 90 days. I explained my expectation and what they had going on was slightly misleading and I was met with no help. Just told that all you get $55. I would not have came had I known that
Rude staff, don't know how to properly stick people, and they don't clarify that you don't get your full bonus if you don't fill up their bottles which they make over $3000 on. I will now be returning!
I would like to give 0 stars bit cant. I have been donating plasma for a very long time and never got paid so little money we were Getting $50.00 but now they dropped it to $30.00 thats some bullshit. Im thinking about going somewhere else to donate.
I'm soooo glad I switched to Grifols plasma Donation. Check in is faster, people are very friendly and knowledgeable, and I have great confidence in the phlebotomists. I've never had to wait more than 10 mins to get into a bed compared to an hour at other places. Scheduling is very flexible. I highly recommend.
Chris is the best! Lots of friendly people here. Usually pretty well staffed. Have almost never had any issues with a bad stick. Definitely prefer it over the East side location.
The center is one of the best. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their techs are well trained and make the process smooth and enjoyable. Shout out to Chris he's the best and always has a gentle touch, considering I'm a hard stick.
I've been coming here for some time now, but I'm considering stopping donating because it really isn't worth it like it used to be. Ever since Grifols took over, the pay has gone down a lot, the staff seem not to be as happy, and the level of care and professionalism has suffered. The phlebotomists are very good and kind, which is nice. They are very easy to talk to and for the most part, professional. Occasionally, I have seen a group of them on their phones, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but neithe
I've been coming to this donation center for a year and I've had positive or neutral experience every time. Yes, sometimes I've had to wait a little while to be called back but that is the unpredictable nature of a donation center. No set appointments so you have to learn and use some common sense for when it'll be busier (obviously afternoons during the week will be a peak time, or right before a holiday it'll be busier). The newer techs aren't as confident with deeper veins, understandable. In the times w
I had a great first experience here. Everyone was helpful and professional.
Always a pleasant experience when coming here to donate very friendly and peaceful atmosphere
I love this place. I come all the time. But today I have experienced 3 people complaining about how many people are in here before 630. They close at 630. I only come at 615 because that's the only time that works with my schedule. I used to come on my off day which was Sunday. The hours of operation changed for Sunday so I can't do it anymore. Which I'm not mad at all about people being off on Sundays. I'm actually happy for the workers. I just don't like people complaining in front of the customers. If y
Have been here when there was a huge fight and the staff member jumped across the counter to join in throwing chairs and everything. Some of the staff, Mandi in particular are unprofessional and act very fragile if you so much as say something in a tone they don't like it and try to portray clients as doing something wrong to cover their own unprofessional behavior.
Got on the phone to know when I can come in next, and was greeted with rudeness. Didn't understand why. Was new to the grifol enrollment and just got sass for no reason about when I can come in.
This is a good donation center. The are nice and orderly, however they have lowered there payments recently, making it not worth to go there. Currently: $40 for first donation of the week $75 for second donation of the week They used to have a deal where if you haven't been in 6 months, you would become eligible again for the new members bonuses. However, that is no longer the case. The opening bonus is the lowest I've ever seen it. Only $100 per time, for only your first two donations. In the past
Grifols/ Interstate staff of professionals treat you with care and compassion. They are extremely concerned with your comfort and they take care of you like family! You are valued as a donor for providing a key medical precursor! It's wonderful to be rewarded for helping others! Process is easy and well worth your time! ????
Today they get zero stars. Staff didn't know how to do my needle stick and later on when I asked for them to adjust my armband the staff are doing everything but moving the damn armband up. At this point I'm literally about to cry and no one has stopped to help me but walk past like I don't exist. From other reviews, maybe they just don't like black people. Carrying on, when the machine stops it takes anyone a long time to come although there were literally no more than five clients at the time and at least
Place is extremely unprofessional. They wouldn't listen when my family goes and keep giving them Megan they keep asking not to have her. When she hooks them up they can't donate for a week to two weeks after because of the bruising. When I tried to call whomever answered the phone had a bad attitude was extremely rude and sarcastic. I will be taking this up higher since no one will listen to any of us at the actual location on Verona Rd. You're a medical facility at the end of the day and it should be treat
Friendly staff, clean environment. They always make me feel welcomed. The recent additions of appointments/scheduling is a big benefit and I welcome it wholeheartedly.
I would like to for most warn people that they can call 1-855 my plasma for any and all concerns with this plasma/blood Donation Center. 1) The treatment by Jack the main manger of this place is a very mean, disingenuous and demoralizing human being. He treats women in the most disgusting and disrespectful manner as if he is above anyone. He will talk over you, always has an unpleasant face as if he hates his job, and is stand-offish. 2) Jaime the ?nurse? is also a dismissive, disingenuous person who will c
This place is a hot mess and the manager "Nick", is just as toxic and incompetent as his staff. I called to inform the manager that his new nurse injured my spleen during an examination. He instantly got defensive as if I was accusing him of hurting me. He raised his voice and spoke over me and hung up. This whole Mickey Mouse Operation need to be restaffed. Btw the wifi at this location don't work.
Been coming here for about two months and a way way way better experience than others in the past. Staff is helpful and quick to get you through the process.
Megan is a rock star and makes a quick poke and never misses my vein and very friendly and positive attitude, Sydney is pretty awesome too
Have been coming here for a few months. The service is terrible but at least it's consistently bad so you know what to expect. I told my mom to come in so she could make a little extra cash but she is not a fluent English speaker. They made her go through some of the process but after about an hour or so, they told her she was a "liability" and decided to not let her donate. My mom felt ashamed for not fully knowing English. So obviously, I came to her defense and pointed out how discriminatory this process
Overall, it was a great experience. However, their donation rates have taken a dive, which is hugely disappointing, especially since other places in the area pay more. If only they could fix that, it would be a full 5 ??
I recently had a highly unsatisfactory experience at Interstate Blood and Plasma The unprofessional behavior of the staff members left a lasting negative impression on me. despite my repeated attempts to get their attention, a staff member continued to walk past me as if I didn't exist. I had finished donating plasma and was in need of assistance, but they prioritized helping another donor who had finished after me. This disregard for my time and needs was completely unacceptable. The management at this est
I wanted to become a new donor here. I left work early to be a new donor I got here at 4 but I was not able to donate. Then I came in on Sunday to become a new donor I was sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes and no one was available for help by that time it was already 12 and told me I was not eligible to become a new door. Awful customer service and no one comes out or cares to see if you need help. Will not be trying come back here I'll take my services to BioLife at least people care about you and
This place was really really excellent. This is no longer the case. The staff will yell at people coming in too close to closing time for their taste or just flat out lie about their computers being shut off remotely (they do it themselves, I've watched them do it) The biggest frustration as of late is waiting for payment. Been 30 mins since I handed it to the person at the desk, they were at the payment computer, not like there was a stack. For context, used to be a matter of maybe 5 mins. I'm going
I went here on 12/31/22 and after the donation I was walking out and noticed blood streaming down my arm because the bandage was put on so loosely. The woman didn't even seem concerned that I almost bled out in their bathroom. She just seemed annoyed. They blew out my vein, and were so rough and rude. They don't seem to care about the donors or respect them.
Staff is very friendly, and helpful with any questions I have. Enjoy having conversations with various members of the staff!
In the past 2 months, the waiting has become way longer and the staff has been more unprofessional. They are likely understaffed and half of the staff don't seem interested in their jobs. They don't try to clear large queues, they often joke around and seem uninterested in a full parking lot and full lobby. At this time, do not go to this location. 30 minute lobby wait times for an already long process are unacceptable.
I've done a couple dozen donations here. Everybody is so nice and friendly, and I've only had one donation go poorly. Payment is always super fast and the compensation level is really good if you can do 2x/wk. I just really wish they had newer, faster machines like BioLife has, that's really my only complaint.
I'm only rating a 1 star for a couple of reasons, they don't explain anything about the tattoo process until your halfway through. That wasted 3 hours, So if you have gotten a tattoo within a year don't even try to donate waste of time. Being the first time donor it did take awhile but my girlfriends process took up to 4 hours being a new donor. They barely have any employees working witch is the world we live in nowadays. Employees were very nice and easy to communicate with, pay is decent for new donors a
I have been coming here for over two years. A year ago I would have given them 5 stars. Always have clean facilities and an efficient process. The staff are all very friendly, however the issue is that recently they put staff on the floor to poke people with needles who do not know what they are doing. It is a frightening experience when someone clearly has not been trained properly is poking your vein with a needle. I have had a few bad experiences in the last few months and finally they really messed up m
Center manager is great! He's very friendly and is always smiling! All of the staff is friendly and made this process a breezeee! Thank you guys!
Great staff , clean environment and helpful ppl thanks
I really like the staff, but they keep dropping their pay rates. It's gone down $15/week since 2 months ago. Quit being so cheap, Grifols.
I've been donating here for a long time. I prefer this place to the Henry Street location because it's so much easier to park your car. Staff is really friendly, and they work really hard despite the craziness of the pandemic making their jobs and all of our lives so much harder than before
If you have a sleeve tattoo DO NOT waste your time. Even though there is nothing on the website that states this; apparently regardless of age of the tattoo, you will be denied if it is a sleeve. I even called ahead of time and asked about tattoos. The only thing that was mentioned was if the tattoo is within the last 3 years, you would be denied for a certain amount of time. Not that I got very far into the process, but the location looked very clean. I wish they would update their website so I didn't wast
The facilities are clean, the staff were friendly, and the compensation chart is clear. They demand a social security card, not just the number, which even the DMV doesn't need. Do they need it to report earnings to the IRS? There is no way that enough can be made in monthly earnings to be worth reporting. We aren't supposed to need to show our Social Security cards to anyone other than government agencies or possible employers. I'm pretty sure that donors aren't considered to be employees.
i have been my eighth time coming and this was the first time i was in pain, it felt like they jammed the needle in my arm and was in pain until at the end when they removed it. Not saying they did it on propose but the 6th time i went there my step-dad and i felt that they were not paying what they owed me and they fixed it the other day. but i find it odd that i was in pain this time even though i felt fine the other 7 times i donated.
I've been donating here for a while and the customer service has gotten a lot better. Shyelle brings a great energy to the initial intake experience!
I came all the way back here to re edit a 1 star review and won't change that. This place decided to sell to talecris. They switched systems, then require past donors to reconfirm themselves? We went through the proper channels before you switched. It is not a fault of your donors in any way shape or form. You compiled all of this nonsense for av transfer on a spreadsheet. I shouldn't have to confirm anything on my end. Ill never go back there again. Biolife has my business 100% now because IBBI and Tal
It was my first time going and the staff was so nice, made me comfortable and checked on how I was doing, just make sure you bring the proper documents and eat before you show up.
This place mistakenly identified HIV in my blood and now I am banned from donating in the future. Good luck to anyone else. Please make sure to read their contract agreement on your first visit.
The RN at the front desk didn't accept my bank statement or my paystub as proof of residence, which is odd. Both documents can be used to register to vote, but that's not good enough to donate plasma? Why are you guys more finnicky than the state when it comes to proving my residence? Both documents had recent dates listed and my address, so I don't understand what the reasoning behind that was for. I was asked about when I had my last meal, and I was advised to eat right before coming in. This I understan
I've been going twice a week since they opened in May. Great customer service, down-to-earth and friendly staff who remember you by name. Exceptionally clean facility. Thank you for opening a donation center on the west side!
First time there...very impressed by the staff. It was a smooth process and they are super helpful. Every person I spoke to asked my name and social to insure they are dealing with the right person !! I'll defiantly be making this a regular thing !! #savinglives
The employees are great! Morning or evening there is always happy faces , they will make sure you comfy and don't need anything.
How you can not have anything about tattoos on your website and then deny people because they have a sleeve. It does absolutely nothing to the plasma. Talk about profiling people. Called to verify and ask rational, I was told because "we could be doing drugs and hiding track marks in our sleeve." They cannot see bruising, which is a lie. Funny thing about that is the inside of my elbow has almost no ink at all. No "track marks" either. I'm absolutely appalled and disgusted with this company.
Things they don't tell you on the phone: they don't allow tattooed folks to donate. You need a CURRENT bill/proof of address, a social security card, and an ID. Also, they won't tell you about the tattoo policy until you've already gone home, gotten the documents they didn't tell you that you need, and come back. I wish I could give negative stars.
Highly recommend. Great staff - always friendly and speedy!
Place is a joke I was refused donation because of c.o.p.d even though a was cleared by my doctor to donate apparently these people are medical experts and whats the point if you need to sign a release if I had lied and not put down my medications there probably wouldn't be a hassle thanks for wastingy me and my doctors time!!!this place is a jokeif you are taking meds just lie about it or you will be rejected ,p.s i went there 3 times twice with doctors letters
The staff are very professional and very nice never had a bad experience just love the extra cash and giving to the cause .
Friendly and professional staff. I enjoy my time there.....how can you not. You can relax for an hour and do something good for people in need.
I am so tired of gate keepers & these people are truly arrogant and rude! I tried to transfer this morning & all my proofs from gorham ave. Were unacceptable to the verona rd IBP. A BEARDED MAN AT THE DESK WAS COCKY AND DESPICABLE TOWARDS ME.
They are under staffed or something cus this is the third time I've not gotten paid right away the first time it was the computer?s where done and it took 4 hours to get paid and then it was they where short staffed and it took till closed to get paid when I came in at 12:30pm and now I've been done for over an hour and I was just told the same thing ? by the end of the day ? when I came in at 3pm .It only happens at this location plus they close there doors early sometimes so be careful coming in close to
The staff are very knowledgeable, respectful and caring. They truly make sure you have a comfortable and personable experience.
Everyone is really friendly and nice. I've been there a few times since they opened in May and haven't had a bad experience yet.
Always a good experience and nine times out of 10 you're out of there in an hour and a half. Friendly and courteous staff
Great place to come donate. Great staff!
Second month in a row of dropped payments. Not worth the time anymore.
Too long of a wait to find out you can't donate because your pulse is too low but I have never had that problem before. I will not go back to that center
They need more experience techs that know how to place needs. I am a hard stick, so they leave me sitting waiting for a tech.
Clean, quick, profitable
Highly professional staff, friendly and knowledgeable, make donating plasma a great experience. Earning a fee for donation is a definite plus!
Absolutely love this place. All the staff are awesome
Staff is Very nice and professional . The process is simple and quick .
A great place to earn a little extra money and do something good for others.
They get you in & out timely. Everyone is pleasant.
Clean facility and everyone is so pleasant to work with!
VERY NICE FACILITY WITH GREAT NURSES TO ASSIST YOU EASY FAST AND COMFORTABLE????????
They discuss you amongst each other and that illegal and they not professional they laugh and talk about the donors
Friendly....fast .....and Thoral...
Great and professional people always makes it painless.
Attentive, educated staff.
Total homophobia all the way up to the president of the company (who I called.)
Amazing staff.. always friendly and helpful
I recommend to anyone looking for a little extra cash
Good friendly staff that knows your name
Very well-respected people there
It helps me make ends meet from time to time
Great staff , friendly environment
Love the staff they are awsome!!!
Good staff, very professional
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
