I have been going here for 3 years. They have made improvements to avoid long waits with the app where you can do the questionaire as well as avoid long waits by making an appointment. The staff does their best but sometimes it's beyond their control. The flabottomists are friendly and Attentive. Sometimes they are short staffed but they get you in and out as fast as they can.
I had a nice experience here only complaint I have since I transferred from Chicago to here. Is that they don't use Chase Bank prepaid cards like the city which is way more convenient to take cash out
I've been donating on and off for a number of years. I have no complaints. If donating for a full month, I've learned that donating blood plasma regularly or every so often requires thinking ahead carefully of how many days are in the month you want to donate and requires planning around what Grifols has established as a "donation week" aka calendar week (as advertised) which starts on Tuesday and ends on Sunday. They close on Mondays. You can't donate more than twice in one 7-day week. This is the indust
Grifols deferred me from all of their locations and placed me on the NDDR list after I complained about their staff sticking people without cleaning the area. And the armed security guard at the location was arrested for impersonating a police officer after he antaganized me while wearing a vest that said "police" and was armed. Durng my time donating at Grifols, staff spent more time watching the TVs than enforcing the center safety rules as listed on the wall. I spoke with the supervisor of this locatio
I usually have a great experience here but on Tuesday I did not. Do not go after 4. It seems the technicians are in a hurry to just go home and get careless with their jobs. The technician, a small Spanish girl (wasn't able to get her name) came over to me with an attitude, shoved the paper in my face, didn't tell me my name or numbers, she started ripping the old cords out of the machine and installing a new one like it was a speed challenge. While she's doing this, another tech, a small white girl named B
Am working out of town in Woodstock in from Morris Illinois so I scheduled an appointment in Elgin since it's only a 20 minute drive, they told me I'm out of their network I'm too far away from my home address which is not stated anywhere on the website, maybe you should have people enter their zip code on the website before wasting people's time gas $ and tolls for nothing, the way they determine the "network" is they ask someone in the back lol really scientific
The technicians here are fantastic, ignore the negative reviews! A pothead judging medical workers is the most hilarious thing I've seen all week
Overall, it's not a bad place to earn a little extra cash in your free time. The staff is really friendly, but you might have to wait, especially on weekends when it can be understaffed. However, if you don't mind the occasional wait, I recommend coming here for the good service.
This place use to be good to go to. Now they take forever to get you hooked up and they try to pay the leaset. I regret coming here everything. Unfortunately I have summers off and could use the extra money. Sometimes I feel like it isn't worth the gassel amd half the time the staff are changing up and have difficulty finding my veins.
Very friendly, quick, and never had any issues.
I would drive 30 minutes to, spend 25 minutes doing intake process, spend about 50 minutes doing the blood donation, then drive home 30 minutes with a hole in my arm for only 35/40 bucks. Never was about the money, but i have dignity. Is a clean place and well trained staff though.
I love this place and everyone in it. Very professional , ready to work and get the Job done . In and out . The best donation place I've been too. I want to thank all of you all for your politeness and professionalism. God bless you all.
I was told I would get a Snickers bar for leaving a review. The year is 2050, the Earth has become a post-apocalyptic wasteland. I am the lone survivor from a town that was once called Algonquin. I walk down the remnants of Randall Road, bow and arrow in hand, my only companion, a feral raccoon whom I've befriended. I come across a tech from plasma biological services, who at remembering this review, hands me a Snickers bar. It is the first time I've eaten in 3 days, and at My darkest hour, this five-star r
Pro: The wait is typically short. Cons: they keep reducing the payments, they took away just about every bonus that had me come back. In an effort to keep this short I can only say that at this time my only dissatisfaction is that I am not confident that the compensation will be what I am used to as it keeps going down. I am considering ?? if it's worth becoming a new donor at another company? @Grifols.... don't be like the big companies that acquire a company y and bleed it dry until it's dead ;) ??
I tried to donate here but they always give me many excuses because of my address or bank statement. I'm already registered in a different state with grifols but they denied me . The manager is rude and the ladies in front two, don't go there.
Terrible and unprofessional facility! The girls who take your vitals complain about their jobs and hours. Super unprofessional. They close their doors early before their official closing time. They are missing out on people actually willing to donate plasma because they would rather go home. Also the technicians who actually take your plasma are typically new and can't find your veins. They need wayyyy more training when dealing with medical procedures! Sorry people in need these employees are the reason y
Horrible place. Most of the staff are rude and dismissive. Every time you go in there is a problem of some kind. I had one nurse completely miss my vein. I watch her and could see it about to happen. They also switched systems and didn't notify clients. Came in early to donate only to be told I had to set up a one on one appointment to transfer my data (WTH?)? another day. I've worked in IT support and I've never seen so much incompetence. Sad.
I was donating for almost two years, but because of the lower rates and shorter hours I stopped coming. The staff are not always great, the front desk people are always loud and gossiping. As for the phlebotomists, there are some really good ones, but they also have new people that I would be scared to have them stick me with a needle. It's a toss up of whether you get a good one. Overall, it is ok but not worth it for me to go there anymore
For a first time donor at this location, they have very horrible horrible customer service and very horrible horrible to people who are first time donors they pre-oppression them they make them feel very uncomfortable and very rude and disrespectful so if anybody ever wants to donate plasma go somewhere else don't go to this location
The location is clean but longer wait times since implementing new systems along with less days to donate can make it difficult to return. Flexibility is important. Update: As sometime has passed, the speed for donation has greatly improved. Otherwise, very friendly staff.
The staff was nice when I came in. But the supervisor phlebotomist would not take the time to find a vein to use. I drove over an hour to be here. And she took two minutes to tell me no. I've had plenty of large gauge needles in my veins from the VA being a disabled Veteran. And she didn't even try. I wasted my time and gas driving here. What a waste of time.
I was supposed to be paid last week and still haven't been paid. Management is to busy to talk to me even though they owe me 55 dollars and nobody will talk to me to say when I'm getting my money. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend going here. Oh and corporate is based out of Spain so I can't even speak with them about getting my money. Joke of a business
This was a really nice place to donate , seems a new company and system has taken over. I think this company needs to reconsider its values and take care of its doners and compensate them properly. 200.00 dollars for new and returning doners is ridiculous. Other centers are giving over 4 times that.I would understand if this business was not for profit but that's not the case. The staff has always treated me great and still does great job. Hope for changes soon.
I recently started going here. It is a really clean place and if you listen to their directions it goes very smoothly. the first time takes a while, but after that, depending on how much you give, it takes about an hour for the whole process. Everyone there is pretty nice, and i've yet to have any problems. You will definitely see a wide variety of people here, but overall you just sit there on your phone until it's done.
People that work here are mostly nice and try to make it as smooth of a process as possible. The facility is clean, although it kinda feels like you're in a prison. Could they at least put up a couple pictures or something? Payouts are quick but the card is laden with fees.
The staff here are actual saints and the rates are good. I've been going here on and off since 2014 and it seems like every single aspect of this place has gotten progressively better, translating to higher rates, and very much shorter wait times. The people leaving negative reviews are probably named Karen. Don't listen to Karen. She's been bitter ever since the divorce
Overall the place looks pretty clean. Other than that The front needs to be trained better. They are a bunch of lousy young girls who need to act a bit more professional in a medical facility. Keep the volume down when you are talking to your coworkers. Be mindful and more respectful towards others. Everyone else beyond that point were nice, helpful and PROFESSIONAL! One of the phlebotomist doesn't have a catheter ready and puts on her gloves ?? touches the door and opens up a box and doesn't know CORRECT s
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the phlebotomists are very caring. The process goes quickly even if it's busy.
I used to come here twice a week. You maybe had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. All the sudden. It's an hour plus don't know what's happening here but might go back to BioLife. Not waiting 3 hours when I can get through in an hour at BioLife
Good place people are nice sometimes a little slow getting to you when you sit in your chair but understood because of lack of employees
It was my first time donating plasma today. I had a great experience at this facility. I gave myself plenty of time because the first visit takes about 3 hours (after that it's about an hour per visit). Also you must be VERY VERY hydrated, feeling generally healthy, and have had a large healthy (non-greasy) meal before hand, otherwise you will probably get super dizzy and have to stop the donation. No coffee before and no alcohol the night before. Other than that, everyone was informative (and fun!) an
All the ladies there are so sweet , they've always taken good care of me at this location .. really have no bad words to say. Always a good experience
It's always an issue when I come here now. Systems always down, turned away over ?not having enough breakfast? the staff doesn't wear masks like they aren't exposing themselves to blood born pathogens . The infront ladies are extremely unprofessional you can hear them gossip loudly every time. The payments keep going down hill the card charges you fees for everything the waits get longer the nurses are dramatic lazy unprofessional and set BS restrictions that have never been an issue before my history has r
Lupita the manager was very rude. 3rd time donating and this was going to be my 4th time nobody informed me that after 30 days you'd be subjected to 40 dollars instead of the first 4 donations the 125 I referred as well and did not receive the money since I needed to donate again which was not the case for my last referral I receive the money right away do not recommend and will not be going back
Call first. Great place if you aren't sensitive about having a needle in your arm for about an hour and experiencing other minor discomforts of the intravenous fluid transfer process in exchange for grocery money or a little extra cash for the budget minded. Seriously. I've got a full time job and I still try to squeeze it in at the end of the day twice a week. Strict frequency rules do apply. Very professional staff. My only "complaint" is that they have random closings due to technical issues, which I'm s
Super comfortable treatment. On my first time I was there for about 2h, I meet few people before my general plasma donation. Everybody was super nice and they explain me every single step, cause I was super afraid. Nurse, who did my IV was Very Nice And gentle, she shows me how machine works, why/what/when. Whoever was passing your table they always ask if you are ok. I CAN STRONGLY RECOMMEND this place. Thank you!
First few times was great. No problems. Went today and I was the lucky one who got to be the pin cushion for a trainee. 7 hours later I'm still bleeding. I called and before I was hung up on I asked why they wouldn't inform me that a trainee would be practicing on me. You know? That way I could?ve said a big fat no thank you. But I wasn't given that option. Then some little guy came back and asked if everything was alright. I said no. He said well you can always ask. Ask what? If I can get a qualified perso
Awesome staff. Chill vibes always. Definitely feel like I've been able to give back to my community by donating plasma.
I went for my initial plasma donation today. The facility was very clean and every individual who I interacted with was polite and professional. It is important to bring your ID, SSI card, and some mail with your address on it. It is also important to hydrate, eat something healthy before arriving, and be prepared to answer many questions, as well as receive a medical examination. My first visit took about 2.5 hours including the plasma donation, which I had anticipated and they also prepared me for. I
The staff is informative and friendly. A clean and sanitized environment is maintained throughout the building. Every time I come to donate, I am seen in a timely manner (depending on how busy it is at that moment). Donations seem to only take about an hour long, after the initial visit. My advice to a potential donor: understand all the documents/ID's that must be brought in for the first time. The best way to do that is calling the center.
Why does the ?owner? only reply to good reviews? I think the ones that need attention most are the negative ones. I only have bad things to say about this facility. Immature staff and unprofessional. Management is obviously blind to these facts and that makes them part of the problem. I was provided with false information on my visit at that. Employees are obviously not held accountable here for their actions. And they wonder why people stop donating.... so there you go, to whom it may concern. ?Mr. Owner??
I've donated on & off for the past few years. This has become my favorite place to donate, staff are nice & professional, clean environment, and the equipment is more modern than other centers I've been to. Less of a wait as well, pretty much get onto the chair to donate, with minimal waiting. So far a very good experience donating through them
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This morning was my second time coming to this place. The first time, I was not allowed to donate because the girl doing my physical didn't think that what I had for breakfast was enough. So after being there for 2 HOURS, I had to leave disappointed. Today I went back to give them another chance, and after being in that place for an hour and a half I was denied once again. The person doing my physical this time asked me about my medication history. I told her
I have been donating for well over 15 years and this is by far the best place I have ever gone to. They are super fast and very friendly plus the pay is much more than most places. I literally drive 25 minutes to come here when I have another plasma place 7 minutes from me. GO HERE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.
Very friendly workers. Convenient fast and the first 5 times you get 50 dollars! The first time will be the longest visit, but after that you fly through the next visits. Recommended to anyone who wants to make a nice extra peny
It's gonna be a no from me. I had 3 nurses look at my veins after being told I'm good to go! The nurse was nice but you have left me a god awful bruise because you seem to not know how to do your job! I wish I could share a picture. The other nurse goes you need to take that out she goes why. The other nurse goes she's starting to bruise. Well now it's black and purple. Thanks at least I got paid
They are slow, and rude with attitudes, It's not our fault they don't have the employees. We have to sit here and wait all this time for 40$ this place sucks. They don't even accept me half the time. They are trash.
When you donate the first 5 times, you get 50 bucks and 10 dollars everytime you refer someone. The staff there are very friendly, courteous, and always on top of their game. Keep in mind, on your first trip there you wanna get there as early as possible since it takes a while to get through the initial screening process. After your first time, it becomes a very quick and easy process.
Great place just never answers the pho e when I need help come on guys your awesome at everything just pick up the phone please
Good clean place to make a few bucks. Had good experiences here most of the time. Just leave enough time cause their busy sometimes
the staff here is rude, disgusting, and racist. i have never been treated more inhumanely in my life. the woman that does the ?physical? is probably one of the worst human beings you'll ever have to interact with in your life. good luck here poc.
The money is ok but they seem to always be woefully understaffed and there is always a wait. There's nothing to tell you how long your wait will be and even when there's a lot of donors waiting the staff seem to just sit there rather than processing the donors. Now I don't know their process of course but it just seems something could be done to speed up this process.
I came here with a good intention to help save lives and get a little money for doing it. Instead I walk away disappointed. I'm an Asian and they make me feel discrimination. After I spend 3 hours with all the B's I have to go through and I have to see the nurse she check me out and want to know what that bump I have on my shoulders. I told her that is my bones. Then she makes me feel like something is wrong with me and want me to see the doctor on Wednesday and I can't come because I have to go to work. So
This Place Has Gone Straight Down Hill Over The Past Year... Donation Payouts Are At A All Time Low When They Use To Be They Best... Front Staff Is Rude And All Have Different Rules They Make Up A Long The Way... So Unprofessional... Not All Staff As I Like Most But Enough To Make You Want To Smack The Ones Who Are Rude Like The One I Had Today... Won't Be Coming Back Here For Awhile
I had a good experience here, donating plasma for the first time. Staff was professional and kind, wait times weren't bad, pay rates were good. I wish I could be a regular plasma donor here and I would totally come back, except I felt faint for 15 or 20 minutes right after the donation, so I found out that donating plasma doesn't work out well for me.
First time attending today and everyone was so nice and moved so fast, it was Great!
Donating is important and the staff are excellent. But there was a promotional incentive for the month in February which included a $30 bonus for your 2nd donation in a week. I donated on February 3rd and February 6th with no bonus. And again on February 10th and February 13 and no bonus. A little disappointed in a promotional bonus that was never delivered.
Experience: Staff is easy-going which helps if you have any needle anxiety. The staff that is clean, caring, and efficient. I genuinely enjoy going in to donate. Rates are very fair considering the pandemic. I think they were recently raised because of that. I have had a few needle sticks that weren't perfect but that is to be expected. They are well-staffed at all times which is good because it allows the phlebotomists to give a lot of attention to each donor throughout the process. The plasmapheresis devi
The staff is extremely nice and they know what there doing they get u in and out love it
Been goin here for 2 years without any problems because I was open and honest from the start and got the ok from the doc. For those 2 years it was a 5 star facility, but because of the ignorance of a so called "supervisor" who shall remain nameless. (the long haired blonde with a stick up her ass all the time who sits behind the payout counter) I was permanently deferred due to the fact that she personally had no prior knowledge of my preexisting condition which had already been cleared. Ignorance is no exc
Clean, professional atmosphere. I was expecting a long wait, but I was through much quicker than I expected
This is thee most HORRIBLE place to donate plasma! Inexperience & very incompetent. FOUR TIMES in a row I went and they "MISSED" my veins in BOTH arms! My arms were so black & blue from it, I was AMAZED!!! I would HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT GOING THERE! After the fourth time I told them to "lose my file"..... I will NEVER be returning! I would give this place ZERO stars!!! But unfortunately I have to rate them so I am giving them ONE star...
I donate twice a week and it always an Awsome friendly staff, amazing experience every time.
Went in one day and explained to the nurse hypersensitive skin and the turned me away and said I needed a doctors note, just a doctors note. I have my doctors not saying it's fine for me to give plasma and wouldn't you know she needs an actual diagnosis which I explained was just hypersensitive skin. It also feels completely unorganized and the staff seem rather dull and faily rude for now on I'm going CSL Plasma they're much nicer and more organized
Had a great time the people actually listen to you and they make you feel like family beautiful place.
Very nice people, always with good Attitude. I'm always feeling welcome
I go here about twice a week and the employees recognize me now. the only trouble I've had is matching my mail to my permanent address cause I'm not currently living at my permanent address. I've also recently dealt with one of the nurses messing up the needle in my arm, and now I have a bruise and had to use my other arm (which was not cool) but they compensated me for my trouble with that, gave me an ice pack and all. I've also donated when I wasn't feeling good (WHICH IS A BAD IDEA) and they gave me imme
I've been here 24 times now and it's been a pleasant experience every time.
Garbage I came here 10 times trying to donate to help people and it's a new problem everytime at first they said I didn't drink enough water then they said I had a murmur then they said my veins were too small after getting approved for it and everytime I come up here I always here them talking about the people saying ( wow he's so black) ( we're letting hobos donate ? ) I've wasted 10 hours of my life at this garbage of a place . The ? nurse ? is rude for no reason telling me ? I'm not going to beg your d
1 thing you should know before wasting your time, like I did. If you have more than 15 "markings" (tattoos, scars, etc.) total, you won't be able to donate. I wasn't aware. Just wanted everyone to be aware and not waste their time.
It's a nice place and staff are nice but you'll have to wait just to get on a machine for a long time
Its not to bad, only the first time takes about 4 hours, look clean and professional,i recommended,i don't see spanish people to donate plasma
Took about 3 hours my first visit had to run home and get social wish I called before but ladies were very thorough gave explanation for everything asked made sure I understood what was happening 75 for first five visits I just started new job needed money to get back and forth to work until payday the ladies are fast I barely felt them poke me for iv and it only took about 30 minutes to withdraw plasma I will be returning
Everyone is friendly an a pleasant atmosphere. Always prompt with their service.
Always professional and quick when I go. It takes about an hour so it's worth the money
Clean Facility, Nice staff, Pretty quick i?ve never waited super long. Lower $ rates compared to other places however
Been going here for years, super friendly and professional, would recommend to anyone!
Katrina in Elgin went above and beyond for me to be able to donate she is an amazing person need more people like her so caring I had my tattoos in the data base wrong Katrina followed up with calls to me fixed my problem I couldn't be more happy to be able to donate make a lil money and help people in the world again this was all do to Katrina and her hospitality which made this an amazing experience
Very clean, organized and professional And a lot faster and easier to donate then other centers
We were turned away because they said we lived too far away. Nowhere on their website does it state that you need to live within a certain radius of the donation center. So, please don't waste your time going unless you are sure that you are eligible to donate at this center. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!
All the ladies here are friendly and everyone is professional. Highly recommend coming to this location.
The nurses are not real nurses they talk about the donors and they come to work with dog and cat hair all over it's disgusting i?v seen many people donate and not asked about there injuries but the nurse was so frustrated she couldn't spell the name of an unharmful antibiotic for my skin the she told me i couldn't come back because without the dr note
Filled with peons who can't pick up a phone. Worse than peons! Downright imbecilic horrors! Besides that, it's quick, easy, and fine. BUT their asinine phoneline would give the devil a heart attack OR WORSE, LEAVE HIM WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO TALK TOO AND THEN LEAVE HELL UNMANAGED. PBS, do better. ??
was turned away due to the length of time from my last meal, which wouldnt have been a factor at all if they would properly staff their phlebotomists
I had some questions...... What if i hadn't donated in over 4 months and decided to come back? Would i have to start all over or will it be as if i never left?........ And what if i lost my card how much will it cost me to get a replacement?
Girls are professional make sure I understand everything clearly first time was long like 3 hours or so but after that it's barely a hour
This place is HORRIBLE i wouldnt have my worst enemy come here. They tirn you down for anything, the employees are really mean here. I wouldnt waist my time.
This place sucks the waits are endless and its dirty and full of people coughing and its poorly run and they aren't cleaning at all. The first star reviews are mostly fake
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
