I didn't have a good first impression experience @ this center. The first area you go to (receptionist) The young lady was stone faced and rude. Not typically the kind of person any company would put up front to be the face of the company. I asked for a manager and the manager was basically the same way. Unprofessional and I had to ask several times if she could lower her voice. She was speaking so loud, confrontational and combative .. I had to ask for Corporate number. Very Unprofessional and rude. This facility is 5 stars in my books! It's worth the hour of my time twice a week to help someone in need. Bonus YOU GET PAID TO DONATE! The staff is fast, fun and friendly! Highly recommend for anyone looking to make a difference (and a little extra cash!)

Actual staff is good. Security is either overly helpful (great!) or rude jerks who sit on their phone and act like they can't explain anything in a polite fashion.

It took me four hours from walking in the door until I left. Didn't get stuck until 2 hrs and 15 min into my wait. I get stuck in the high return pressure and that adds 30 extra minutes. There is never enough staff to accommodate the people donating. Y?all gotta get this fixed. It's ridiculous.

Grifols plasma pays better than most plasma places. However, I have been going for 4+ months and have not been alerted of any promotions, the rules are ridiculous, luckily the most of the staff is super nice, I believe the"boss" that made the rules has a power complex. This is not really about the center or the staff, the location is literally dangerous, there are people shooting up drugs in their car is in the parking lot, And neither the staff nor the security can do anything about it. It's extremely pathetic and very concerning. After witnessing a person shooting up in the parking lot, I informed the staff and somehow the boyfriend found out and confronted me in the parking lot, it was a very difficult situation and I will not be coming back to this location.

Edit 9/18/24: there's a new system with larger bottles and how much you donate is based on BMI. So even if your donation amount (and time!) went up, your pay did not. The people remain amazing, but the company is seeming greedier. The staff here are very friendly and work quick. It was pretty busy when I went. Ms. Regina W did such a great job. Needles usually hurt but it was the least painful stick I had. I have a rolling vein and usually hard to get and slow blood flow but I was off the machine in 40. Usually takes an hour and a half for me.

Went in to donate as a new donor, spent three hours going thru the process just for nobody to be able to find a vein in either arm. I have never NEVER in my 39 years had anyone have any trouble finding my veins, even at a plasma donation center. Then they give me $25 for my time which is laughable because I was supposed to get $150. I don't care if it's your policy. Your policy needs to be changed. Absolutely a better experience than BioLife! I was taken as a walk-in new donor and the process was very quick (2.25 hours for sign up, physical, donation) and professional! At BioLife I was turned away even though I had an appointment! These guys are great and even have an app that will make subsequent visits even easier!

This place used to be great, I would walk in and after filling out my information on the kiosk, within a minute, maybe two minutes the employee(s) at the front desk would call me and tell me to sit outside any one of the interview doors 1-6. I have been to other places and brushed off their rudeness due to the mass amount of people in the lobby, but my first time in here they were seriously packed but they were so nice. I have never been to this location before, so I called to get more information on what I would need. A delightful woman name Sontae (I hope I'm spelling that right) answered the phone and talked to me about the things I would need. She was one of the most polite people I have spoken with in quite a while. Though I have not visited yet, I am very pleased with the service I have received! I've been going here for over a year. Grifols always feels very welcoming. The facility is very clean and the staff is as sweet as can be. They know me by name and make we feel comfortable every time I donate.

Here helping a friend who is starting over! From the start all staff have been very rude and clearly showing favoritism to certain walk ins! Walks in are coming and going my friend had a VIP card to help on time here! This place has a 3 rating and I find 2 at best as one of 9 ppl even tried to show anything that looks like a staff member at wk!

Twice I've came to donate. Sat there for two hours both times. Every time I asked how much longer??the nurse will be with you in 5-10 minutes? an hour goes by & I get the same response. Don't waste your time. There are plenty of places in the city that value YOUR time. Every automated system says you can schedule an appointment, but they don't actually schedule appointments.

The phlebotomist here just aren't good. They mess up sticks. Save your veins.

I absolutely loved going here hate to leave it due to circumstances but the staff and folks here are wonderful and they actually have certain events here sometimes too if u catch em at the right times

Always respectful especially when you're respectful to them. Never a long wait or long time donating and money usually paid within a few moments of leaving the place. Very much enjoy the staff and actually have alot of fun with them when there from constant laughing. Great place to donate

Have been to all plasma places in Charlotte except Biolife. Talecris Grifols on Central Ave. is by far the best run of them all. There is hardly ever, and really never, any wait time and all the donor techs are so awesome in their personalities as well as doing their jobs. Highly recommend if anyone is considering taking up donating. Would give 10 stars if I could.

My Update is from 1 star to 5 stars on 12/30/2019. My 1st visit was 10/04/2019 and 2nd visit was 10/05/2019. From there my experience has been awesome. From intake to vitals to donating to exiting, the staff me feel at home & comfortable with sunnyside up friendliness and breezy conversation. Sundai here dropping my review, and I'll begin by saying Ive yet to have donated to a different location. Every employee is a friend and every doctor can be trusted. Havent had an issue with needles or procedure since I began donating at this location. They even give great banking help when needed. The red head doctor is my favorite!

I got there at 12:58 I was told I couldn't be seen as soon as I came in because apparently there were three more people in front of me with no way to get home I was counting on that donation

I have been to a lot of plasma centers in charlotte, this one takes the gold medal by far! Everyone on staff is very friendly and professional and they make the donation process very swift and easy. I have never been here for longer than 2 hours as a return donor, 2-3 hours at some locations is standard. 10/10 would recommend

Tried to go in after work and after waiting 20+ minutes, was told the nurse isn't taking anymore new donors because either 1) they had too many new donors already and/or 2) it was too late. I've donated at Grifols before and there was no problem becoming a new donor given my circumstances. On top of all that, they don't take appointments, yet the only time I can come in is after work. Sounds like the nurse is lazy and just doesn't feel like working.

I have been going here for a while, I have never seen the place dirty, also I never seen anyone outside by the door smoking. They have made improvement, that benefits the employees and the donors! As long as you give respect you will get respect!!

The staff at Grifols on Central Ave. are amazing. From the front door to the back rooms I have always been either smiling or in a great learning conversation about the wonderful things done with plasma research. These are the slowest rudest people here they make up rules as they go they are unprofessional they sit around and talk about the night they had before. They cuss.in fromt of customers they mever know whats going on if you ask them a question its always "idk" they talk about people when theyre not looking . the ones thats been there for a while swear they know everything they are unsanitary. I don't know what people that are rating this expect. The first time giving takes forever. They tell you this and there is nothing they can do. After that it is never more than an hour and a half. There is a lot to the process. You get paid to literally sit there and do nothing. I've always had great service and everyone is really kind. You get the respect you give.

I read a lot of questionable reviews on this plasma center & I'm confused by who wrote them because I had a very pleasant experience today. I was a new donor so you bring your social security card, picture id with your address on it and you're good to go. I read all materials, was checked in promptly, had my physical done in a timely manner, got my payment card to activate when I left and was directed where to sit for donation. Mixed bag...time never improves...one nurse blamed me for wiggling around...she was willing to have me sit there for over 3 hours....had it not been for a male nurse who solved the slowdown issue...i would be there a few more hours...the week bf i had a nurse think it was okay to wiggle a 15 gage needle under my skin...not just one nurse the go to nurse did it too....major bruising and worry on,my part....blood on my clothes and my compensation was 10 bucks...wow..enough said. .

This is the best place to donate plasma. I became a donor 10/25/2018. I feel like they are so much more than professional than octapharma (the only other place I'm donated). As soon as I told the lady?s up front that I would like to become a new donor, they greeted me by saying: welcome to the family and we are glad to have you. They move very quickly and are just very nice and sweet. Plus the new donor fees are $75 $50 $75 $50 & your fifth visit is $75. You can't beat that at all ???? I am very pleased

Usely have a good experience, the uoung lady who set me up was good. The parking lot was packed so I parked across the street. So when I was leaving the security guard stopped me and told me I couldn't go out the front door. So I told im but my car is across the street, so I went to ask why I was told it helped the flow. I love the plasma center. All The staff here have great customer service skills. They're all easy to talk to very friendly and your donation process will never be boring. Every phlebtomist here is an excellent stick as well. I have deep rolling vien which can cause issues at times however, the phlebtomist aways do a great job sticking me. thank u Talecris.

Was donating here for about 4months with no problems. Now all of a sudden then banned me because my protein level was 1 point off ...very bad service. I recommend going somewhere else

Hey family please note this is more than a review but a confirmation that there are people who still take pride in their work. The team at Talecris Plasma Center at 731 Central Ave. act like doctors and care takers for real. As a retired fire fighter i know the value or good service when someone's life lie in the ballot and this team rises to the occasion. . I do this not just for the money but having my own challenges in life I know the important of this process. Tried other centers , this one is home.

Pretty slow at times but overall great people. Staff knows me and my girlfriend very well. Never had any issues with this location.

I've been her since 2:14 and all ive done was sign my name.... a man came in and I'm pissed he got in seen and getting his arm pumped now.. he just wand in 10 mins ago??. I notice he had a green folder does that need you on a fast track pass or some thing eveeone else has red and orange and yellow folder someone tell me what that means. Try to remember where you're going - it's a plasma collection site. You aren't likely to get the star treatment. You are one of hundreds of other files on the shelf that go in, get processed and screened, donate, and leave. It is what it is - that's why I'm back in school to get a better education to find a good career so I DON'T have to come to a place like this anymore for extra money.

The staff here was so unorganized ended up making 2 trips back and forth which was the staff fault by the way and the young lady who had my file she acted so clueless like she didn't know what she was doing even though I'm a regular donor....Worst experience ever on Central Ave!!!!!!!!!
