Staff are great for the most part. However, there is a manager named Taylor Masters who is extremely rude. No matter the day, you can count on her to be hateful, sarcastic and downright rude. She talks to donors in a very condescending manner. She is the reason I only come here when I'm considered a 'new donor'. She makes awful comments about co-workers and donors alike. I have voiced my concerns with upper management before and nothing changes. What a shame!
As long as this place is actually staffed it's not bad, but today was absolutely horrendous! Today I had a 6:15 appt and signed in at 6:00. Waited 40 minutes before being told I could scan my code while someone else came in signed in and scanned his code right away. Mind you he was the last 6:15 appt to arrive while I was the first. No one policing the kiosk is an issue. Of course my blood pressure skyrocket over this whole thing and I sure wasn't waiting ANOTHER 15 minutes to be rechecked. Improve this sit
I am a regular at this place and to be honest the service has went down horribly. Today I went in to donate like ever Sunday now I get that it busy but to have one worker working my station is crazy I mean I was done with the cycle and I had to wait almost 30 mins to be taken off. But I keep seeing staff walking around like wait you mean to tell me it's this busy and you the only one working this bay? Smh never had I had been stuck on a machine in pain for that long. I suggest that everyone stop taking brea
This center constantly has problems and will be the LONGEST wait?.be prepared to spend atleast 4 hours here, it's super ridiculous. They pay you little to nothing the ?first donation? of the week then pay you a normal amount (compared to other centers) the ?second donation? of the week. Unless you come on weekends where they consistently don't have enough staff and close early without warning. It's basically a joke to come here.
This is the best plasma center! They have hardly any wait time when I go, and the staff is super nice. The phlebotomist do a great job, I hardly ever feel the needle. All around, this is my favorite donation place, and I been to most of all the ones in town!!
This lady named Jennifer thought my behavior seemed unique and asked me if I could hear voices and refused to serve me. Guess I gotta look and dress like a bum to get served here!
Everyone there is really nice. Onna is great. I told her that I have a needle phobia and she talks to me, I think to distract me, and it works because I never feel the needle. Even if she does not stick me, she always says hi. She is great. I have had problems with my blood protein levels and Jamal told me how many grams of protein I should eat daily and it is working! He has always been nice and amusing. Carla is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is so friendly -- I feel like I have known her
Been saving lives at this center for a while now and this recent year has been the best so far. I'm scared of needles and only Ms. Carla could stick me but now I have some good phlebotomists that can get the job done!
I really honestly like this place! Every worker is kind, honest and diligent in what they're doing. Peter and Samantha at the West location are absolutely amazing, friendly and knowledgeable about the donating process. I know they have problems with staffing but no matter how stressful the day is, everyone wears a smile and takes a moment to talk with you about your day. They're definitely trying to make the appointment system better by making "time" slots available because of the new machines. I really thi
Every time I come here to donate plasma there is hardly ever a wait. The staff here are super friendly and I am always thanked after my donation. I would recommend coming here if you want to donate plasma.
Great atmosphere and friendly people too. They answer your questions and concerns. They have bonuses throughout the months. They try to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible. Will recommend ????
To my knowledge this place pays the best but the operations are glacially slow in the morning upon opening time. The first person is usually stuck 20 mins after official opening. The other plasma centers are ready to get people screened and donating upon official opening time. I had a night off of my regular job and went to Talecris a half hour before closing and things went amazingly fast. It made me think the workers are just more motivated then to get people through although it's obvious that understaff
Is a good cause but there is always an issue when you come in. I have sat unattended in the lobby for 45 minutes because everyone assumed someone else would do it. Payments are continually going down, and its no longer worth it to put up with the rude staff. Nurses will sit around at the front door and socialize while the lobby is full because its "not their job" I donated for 4 months, 2x a week, every week but I've reached my breaking point with this staff.
They do appointments only again now for like the 8th time.... but no worries even with an appointment it will still take you a hour or longer to be given a bed to then sometimes wait another 20mins or more to be stuck with the needle... all in all most will donate faster than the time you spent waiting....
I've been donating here for about 8 years now. The staff here are amazing. They always communicate with you and make you feel like family. Miss Carla big mark little Mark Matt Taylor Sam and everyone else i cant name right now but if it wasn't for yahll this life saving medicine wouldn't be available to the great people who need it. Just come with a little bit of patience and time well fly and at the end of the day everyone wins. P.S you could even win a grill. VOTE FOR ME
Most of the staff is cool here but NOTHING is consistent here. Some days you need a appointment and if you don't have one they will let you wait around to be seen still. Other days if they don't feel like working and you have no appointment they will just turn you away. I went last Saturday, 3 people in lobby and only ONE bay being used in the back but because I didn't have an appointment scheduled they turned me away. Gas is WAY too high to be making wasted trips here with no consistency in seeing donors.
The staff are lovely. Great energy and the wait times doesn't be that long. Love coming here. The staff are friendly and positive
Excellent ?????????? Staff are nice, helpful and professional. Very clean facility and safe too. Peter & Carla are excellent phlebotomists and are very gentle too. Plus, they pay well and have a comparable compensation for donating. I have only been going here a month and I've made over $700.00 bucks! Definitely worth it in my opinion especially with these gas prices nowadays.
I have been there 4 times. The experience has been great due to the skill and training of the people doing the stick. I've done this for about 2 years and these sticks are less painful and only need to be done once. The weekly ongoing payments are also better than Octapharma.
Place is the worst even though i went got tested for hep b it came back negative and cant donate so BS never go here let alone worst pay ever if you want real money go to octapharma
I used to Donate here last year, not gonna lie it took forever when I went. But now I work there and it's gotten so much better, we're faster, more efficient with are wait times. Can get you in and out in a hour (depending how long your donation takes, and or if it's super busy or not) so I'd say 1-2 hours. New staff mostly so there's no rude people anymore. We value every single donor every single time, because we appreciate you guys more than anything! Stop in and see us and make a couple bucks lol I prom
So I decided to try Grilols again. Called Monday to check if I needed an appointment. Over the weekend new donors needed appointments.. I checked Friday. I get to the center at 8am. No one is at the desk ( which I get.. they are busy) I stood at the desk.. 8 minutes later I called so I could talk to a live person. When they came out to answer the phone I hung up and let the nurse know I was the one calling. ( No she was not happy about my calling just to get someone to the desk.., keep in mind I'm watching
Hubby & I started donating here last summer, first time ever for either one of us. We go two days every week (unless one or both of us is sick), not one time has anyone ever been rude to us! We love all of them! We have an awesome time while we are there. The most we have ever spent in there was 2.5 hours and that was only a few times here & there. Majority of the time is about 1.5 hours. We will continue donating since the main purpose is saving lives! That's worth all the money or time in the world. This
As a new donor I had a hard time getting to donate here. It took me several times of coming in and being told they weren't accepting new donors that day. Since then I have had a great experience donating here. All the staff a very friendly. Sometimes the wait can be long depending what time of day it is. The pay is the best in columbus. All in all this is a great place to choose to donate plasma with.
We used to love this plasma center but it's going way down hill. They make you go ALL THE WAY THERE to get an appointment and then you have to leave and COME BACK at your appointment time. Even tried calling and seeing if I can set an apt that way, nope. Gas is too expensive for them to be doing this. I haven't been able to donate in 2 weeks and I'm a regular donor. This place does not care about their regular donors clearly. With gas at $5 a gallon and a lot of the donors coming from diff parts of town the
Great place, Friendly workers, and Fast service. Mr. Duncan makes donating quick with his great conversations and his AWESOME Sauce!! ???????? The new system they have going is really quick. I had an appointment at 8 am and was off the table at 9:01 am. It's a pretty cool place and they get you in and out FAST!!
I've literally seen them drop needles and still use them.
I started going there in March. I have been there 4 times now. Every visit is fantastic! Making an appointment is much faster that just walking in. The money is good. It's for a very good cause, I have what they need, so why not help where I can?
GREAT staff BUT.....you can NEVER get anyone to answer the phone! Some days they do appointments and I'd like to know so I don't have to make a wasted trip! And yes they DO have the highest pay rates but you REALLY have to wait for it....my average visit these days is taking 3 to 4 hours....
This facility has a few really awesome employees.Dianna is so nice. They really make the process easy and quick as possible. however, they do not compensate clients for employee errors. New Donor fees are the only time to go here. Wait the six months and get the new Donor fees again.
This place is not worth it. I liked because it's close but after last visit. Thanks but no thanks. I value my life. Don't call the how are we doing because we care line because that wasy first mistake and the second was going back think it would change for the better because we are there for others as well as ourselves. The staff here think we don't pay Thier checks to be serious about Thier jobs well dear grifols or who ever you are at the great western shopping center WE DO PAY YOU AND THAT BUSINESS TO RU
This place is a joke. They give you more money them other banks but make you wait 3x as long! My first appointment took 4 hours and 20 mins, then I tried going back THREE TIMES to donate again (which they say is required to keep your plasma) and every time when the wait was well over two hours I left. I will not be going back. Other banks are just as busy and don't have these problems. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
So we just go donate and don't get paid when we're done now? And anyone who goes here KNOWS there are still staff in there a half hour after they close and still can't manage to answer the phone when their being called repeatedly to fix THEIR MISTAKE. How are you even still a business?
The employees are great. The management and corporate offices are horrible. They've refused to pay me the full amount on multuple occasions, after donating the full amount. I recommend recording any phone call you have with them because lying is pretty normal with these people. You'll be glad you did, if not just for amusement later on. I wasn't going to post a review but decided to after I saw a similar experience. This company is a mess on multiple levels.
I would like to donate more but the whitehall location phone is never answered to setup an appointment. the voice mail give option to leave a message which I have and have never received a call back. Why have phones in building if they are never answer. If this is the Corporate office try to call the location on the phone line setup for your donors to call. So I ends up going to another location. For me to have to walk in to setup an appt and leave and go back it's not worth it. Other location that do not
Never thought I would donate plasma. Took daughter up thought why not. The staff is amazing. Brandon is great as well as Ashley. And there is couple others thst are my faves. I have never had any issues.the new appointment system makes it more smooth. Only issue, phone. They ABSOLUTELY need to have someone just to handle the phone.it took me over an hour to get through to make an appointment. I have literally watched people walk past it. Other than that I can say they make donating a breeze
This is gonna be the last time I come here. Sat out in the lobby for 40 minutes. One employee went outside 2 times to smoke while I was out there. Women here love drama, will go out of their way to gossip instead of working. On their phone all the time. Complain about its not their job, well someone has to do it and why are you special? We all live in columbus ohio you're not special do your jobs. It's a good place to make a few bucks and for a good cause but im tired of putting up with these employees. Don
very good since they started doing scheduling appointments
Went twice this week. Even the 2nd visit cost me 3.5 hours of my time. The workers complain about being short staffed yet they dont have time to answer a question, fix their kiosk machines, or note that a visit wasnt my first one, wanting me to repeat the entire process. Their prepaid card has nothing but fees, even at a "free" ballpoint atm. Waste of time. Just use another center and/or drive for uber.
Longest donation of my life . I've been here since 1:26pm and it's now 3:46pm and I still have not even been stuck . Update - just now finishing at 5:13pm . Employees move as if they will be here all day so you will too
I have been donating plasma for a couple years. I started going here are few months ago and it was a huge mistake. They took a blood sample a couple weeks ago, the attendant didn't mark my file that she took it, the vials were not labeled in front of me. When my visit was finished another attendant tried to take more until I informed her another already did. Last week I returned and was informed I was banned from ever donating, ever again, anywhere because I have HIV. I knew this was not likely with my
Always understaffed and the staff they do have can't stick worth anything, most the staff play with there phones more than watching the donors. I was waiting for 2 hrs! To do a drug screening they were putting all new donors Infront of me even though I came before the new donors . There is alot of favoritism in this place
I have tried to donate 3-4 times within a month and each time I would go everything was good until I had to take a drug test... Each time it came back positive for sugar in my urine and it showed up very quickly.. And I went to my family Dr twice and both times there weren't any sugar in there!! Not sure what happened though... Now my boyfriend goes and everything is fine, he never has a problem donating!!
I wish I could give negative stars or black ones, maybe even some stars that are on fire as a warning. This is the third center o have visited and it's absolutely the worst! Some of the workers are friendly, but they do not appear very knowledgeable or at least need further training. As a new patient I waited 4 hours before getting my physical, now this is after I walked up to the counter to check on the status of my folder 4 times. After almost completely loosing my cool I was finally taken to the back fo
The Grifols in Great Western is the bomb. The staff is courteous and professional, not to mention it's like going to see friends every visit. Management staff is also awesome. Sometimes the wait is long but sometimes it's not.
All of the employees seemed very polite and professional, and they appeared to be hard-working as well. I've donated through Grifols (Talecris) in multiple locations, however this one appears to have the slowest processing time. At this specific location an average in-out time would be between 3 and a half to four hours. It's not uncommon to wait two hours before being entered into a room to get your finger pricked to see if your protein/hematocrit levels are eligible, and then another 30 to 45 minutes befo
I was motivated to donate regularly, but in this place I saw my life at stake since there were no procedural protocols, a nurse had gloves and while she was cleaning my hand to put the needle in, all her cel with the gloves and then she continued with the procedure of putting the The needle touched everyone with the same gloves and not even so, the donation procedure machine sounded and any nurse touched your lamovia needle and touched the machine with the gloves that I use in another area?. It was all cro
I love this donation center because as a new donor I donated the first time and I would?ve ended up losing my other new donor fees because I had to take the Covid test and wait so they let me still keep my new donation fee and they understood so this place is very amazing you're kind and respectful and it's in an out. I have nothing bad to say about this center all the people that work there I love everybody they're very nice and respectful and their managers are very kind as well great job thank you for be
This is a great place to donate. The staff does have some issues that they are working on but otherwise great. There is a wait but obviously when a bunch of people are in one place at the same time with about 4 people screening at 5 minutes per screen there is going to be a wait. Plus you get free money to donate something ur body replenishes
Horrible service, once I walked in they had lost my file. Just to find it and tell me I'm a liar even tho I didn't lie. I told the women I didn't donate on the day they said and she came back with attitude saying I lied and I can't come back ever. Worst place ice ever been. Also I can't forget to mention the multiple times I have left the building with blood running down my arm BC they bandaged my arm to loose. And finally the pain you feel with there equipment. They don't know how to put the needle in ev
My first time donating, even though I wasn't able to give any plasma due to my thick blood. I must say everyone there made my first time a pleasant and enjoyable experience. They made me laugh ??, made my day!!! Thank you, definitely will be back.
If you are a White Male prepare to be discriminated against!! Three weeks in a row I had to chase these people down to get paid for the donation. I sat for 1hr 15mins in the lobby waiting to be called. Once I was in the chair, I sat for 1hr waiting for someone to acknowledge me. I requested assistance two different times. Still, everyone working ignored me. They assisted the young black girl sitting next to me, the black man across from me, but then began stocking shelves and cabinets. When they fini
This center is the worst. They never answer the phone, their always just standing around listening to the phone ring. Even the management has walked past ringing phones but refuse to answer. This center will do ANYTHING they can to not pay out bonus's.. I would give this center no stars if I could. There are way better donation centers than talecris. You will get skipped to go to the kiosk. The workers talk about other workers to donors. Their best staff is underpaid, just a total mess.
I'm in the bed, anyone that goes knows that it's boring so you bring something to keep you entertained while you take care of business, I have both AirPods in full blast to the point that I need someone to tap me to get my attention but I can still hear a ?supervisor? belittling, probably the nicest phlebotomist I've ever met because she spotted him on his phone? She yelled at him on the floor, then left and came back trying to come at him again. Shout out to Pablo because if it was me we would have been ex
Great place! Brandon, Carla, Donna and Tyrie are the best. Ask for one of them! Brandon will always have you smiling no matter what mood your in!... The only bad thing is that it takes way to long for them to answer the phones.
"People typically spend 1-3 hours here" ?? more like 3-6 hours I've been a return donor and I've never spent only an hour in this place and it sucks bc the process takes me 30 mins but they have the SLOWEST staff bc there's no reason I should be here as long as the new donors!!!!! They have the kiosk now and still slow ?? 4 hours EVERY TRIP, new or return smh get it together. Wish I could give no stars.
I keep getting urine and drug tested every chance they get I had one yesterday then they tell me I have to do another tomorrow I want to know just what is going on surprisingly people I'm not drug addict if that's what your looking for I'm clean and have no STDs if that's what your looking for your wasting your time and mine
Consistent 2 times a week , eight times a month donor. Place is great , their new appointment donations make it go much faster and feel much more professional. Would highly recommend it to anyone else looiloo for a plasma center.
One of the laziest donation places. All the women sit around talking every chance they get. They will turn an hour proccess into a 2 and a half hour process easy, every time. They pay well. Just completed my 8th ome and never coming back.
Service is fast, the workers are friendly and know you by name. Donna stuck me this time and I haven't beeped "No Flow" not once. Only thing they could do more is answer the phone other than that best plasma center I've been too
Appointments have decreased the obnoxious wait time.. but if you don't schedule your next donation before you leave it might be hard to call in. It took me two days of calling once with no answer.. even for the option to speak to management. The staff is friendly and there are a few that have been there for a while and really pull their weight.
Everything was going fine until i ran into this crazy old women doctor who told me i couldnt donate because i had a blood transfusion when i had my son 11 months ago it has to be. 12 months ago but she told me to come back tomorrow like what sense does that make then she tells my boyfriend he needs to come back another day because he wasnt making eye contact with her while she wad reading the questions like come on now do your job THE RIGHT WAY Over talking yourself and reading body language isnt really the
Brandon and Carla are the best! Brandon fixed me up perfectly when someone clamped my saline line and air was in the main line. Carla made sure I drank my power aid and was healthy! This place is A+ wouldn't go anywhere else!
Do NOT go here donated Monday and everything was fine then donated Thursday and ended up passing out after I left there and ended up in an ambulance and taken to hospital. Person who stuck me had it under my skin so my right arm is bulging and hurts super bad so they stuck me on the left and said veins were small so it took awhile but after the last return when your supposed to get saline the girl stopped it Instead of fixing it or finding another way to get it back into my body and just said drink a lot of
The young Hispanic guy jammed a needle through my vein once but other than that this bank has been great. But strict at the same time, they don't treat everyone like a geek even though I'm sure most of those people coming in have a issue.
On my third time donating I was left with severe bruising in both arms. One arm bruised over a foot in length. After going to urgent care I was urged to visit the ER. Fortunately for me everything is okay, but I'm still going to be stuck with medical bills. The money is not worth the risk. Get a second job!
Do not, I REPEAT , DO NOT LET DUDE WITH THE JERRY CURL AND GLASSES STICK YOU!! I have given him chance after chance, the first couple times my machine alarmed CONSTANTLY. I have amazing veins, and a high pain tolerance. I'm also a nurse and know we all gotta learn....but for real this dude DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE'S DOING!! This last time he had it jacked up so bad my arm was hurting, machine kept alarming and now a day later my arm is tender, swollen, and a bruise the size if a baseball covers the entire ant
I will say that Brittney is an absolute gem and makes the process bearable. that being said, wait times are forever, you have to come in, sign in, and then COME BACK at your "appointment" time and there's no other way to make an appointment. the new machines take forever and stop constantly, and overall, its a pretty miserable experience. I've also been waiting for over a half an hour for them to pay me the money they owe me.
Went to go donate again today when I went in for my first time I told em I was moving so they didn't need my proof of address and they asked again I told them I was still moving and they said they needed it when they told me they didn't at the time today they was very rude to me same people that helped me last time would not go back
Very friendly Staff who are almost like family to me now !! I look forward to my donation days . The process is easy and you're getting paid and saving lives in the process . So it's a win win ??
Woman in charge rude and unprofessional. Shorted my payout and when asked why said it was error on thier end but it was my fault for not knowing company procedure. I asked for her name she refused so I'll just name her myself...try to guess what word I might have come up with, starts with a ??
The staff are very friendly. They make sure you are safe and feeling comfortable. Wait times can be long if you go later than noon or 1pm.
The new update takes much longer, and prolongs your donation visit by 2-3 hours EVEN IF you're a RETURN DONOR. And pray before you walk-in because they may be short-staffed; Which appears to be frequent. Update: Make that 3-4 Hours with a waiting gap in between
The staff were alright, a little to loud. But Megan was really helpful and super nice. She definitely deserves a raise??
Got deferred for the day and was refused the referral bonuses that I EARNED. Won't be referring anyone else. Will probably not go back at all.
Not gonna lie I came here after reading the reviews and I was like it's prolly not that bad reviews just see the negative not the positive , so let me tell you how my first expirence walking into the door was they opened at 7 am got here at about 7:30 they were already a line to the door and I waited 10 mins to find out that they only can do one new donor an hr and there were 2 in front of me they don't allow you to make an appointment over the phone so you physically have to sign into a sign into sheet wi
I took time to read a couple reviews and they are on point, however the dude with jery curl , i let him stick me and sometimes he do good sometimes not but thats everyone. They do need someone to be on that phone because of the new appointment process. I have had situations when me and another person calling at the same time and i been on hold but the other person get thru 1st. GREAT PEOPLE AT THIS PLACE THAT GO OVER AND BEYOND BRANDON SO PROFESSIONAL HE MUST HAVE MILITARY IN HIS BACKGROUND! ISAIAH IS ANOT
First things first!!! Asked why they need my email?? Asked for it 4 times on paper work. Finally got a answer. So they can send you junk emails without paying postage. I'm retired secert service agent. I use general delivery address per government requirments. It not aceptible here. Why are these places located in the bad parts of town???? Ask them how much $$$ they get for your plasma??? Pay you 75.00 but look on your next hospital bill. LMAO.
Love coming here the new appointment system is great it gets you in and out very fast way less waiting time then before all the employees are great fun people always in good moods and a really comforting friendly place to be!
I really enjoy the staff. It's a great center. I am excited for them to go paperless this week. It will definitely make things go faster!
i thought this place was okay. Until I went to another donation center. It's like I went on some fancy retreat. The wait and the staff are 10 times better. I don't think I will go back to Talecris.
Had a good first visit and plan to go regularly. First donation took about 3 hours, they seem to have lots of incentives for first time and regular visits.
I rock with some of the workers! But them phones yall got to start answering them . i cant understand why yall dont have at least one scheduled person to answer the phones! & Yall want us to call & schedule appointments. Get that part together other than that yall good !
All of the employees I've come in contact with have been friendly and professional. This center is very clean. It's a great way to help others and earn some money.
Most disrespectful management, never have staff, they have bad machines dirty bathrooms just overall bad place to donate
The wait is the worst part of the place I love the staff no one has ever been mean to me here always nice and friendly the things you see in this place is crazy well people that comes in n out i should say but I agree with a lot of ppl comments because it's not fair that the ppl that donates twice a week every week for months n months or years n years get the short end of the shift new donates be everywhere because of the new fees and won't see em no more after while we are loyal donates and get $25 $40 an
The wait time is crazy no one gets extra for the wait the money is BS new donors get on money then return donors they never answer the phone there staff stay talking about what ever 25 for ur first cycle of the week 40 for your second and if u miss a day you will not receive the bonus you will spend a lot of time in here waiting to save a life they send the plasma away so meds are made they saves lives $$$$ so they are being paid but the donors get played but the new donors are being blessed and tricked
Just a loooooooong wait time. Unprofessional staff. Save yourself the time AND earn more money by going to BioLife.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
