I had an unpleasant experience trying to donate plasma here. I guess my veins ended up being too small to be able to even take the blood sample, which is fine. That's not their fault. The lady trying to take my sample ended up really digging into my veins and causing a lot of pain and discomfort. I understand, she's new. So, I'm unable to donate because of my vein size. They say to try again in 30 days after pumping up. I was promised by the phlebotomist that I would at least get a $25 reimbursement for m
Read other reviews to get an idea on how this place operates. And you can read mine as well, I very rarely leave 1 star reviews. In fact out of over 100, this might be my first. The main issue here is customer service. I can deal with their substandard SOP's that other plasma companies don't use, such as scheduling visits instead of staffing properly. Who knew that people might want to come early at 0700 to have a decent shot at making it to their jobs on time? Don't tell them that though, lord forbid you
It would be 0 but don't have that option. Took my boyfriend in yesterday and for The front desk it was not pleasant. For 1. He scheduled 2 days in advance. We read there website about rules and regulations and no where did it mention no medical Marijuana! He waited an hour and a half to be told they would not take Until he got the card deactivated. Your website says nothing about it, so waist more people's time and still they leave with no money. The younger guy was great, the lady working the desk ?was sli
Changing my review from 3 starts to 1. I am so beyond mad right now. For WEEKS my app has been down (and I have told them several times) so unfortunately since I don't live super close by I need to call in to make, change, or cancel appointments or to even check the appointment time; problem with that is that the phone hardly ever gets answered. I had to go in today in person to ask about what time my appointment was, just to find out I'm apparently late for it. But I had been calling in HOURS before hand.
This place is such a nightmare. I have been going here frequently for about a year now. I don't even know where to begin. They NEVER answer the front desk phone. You have to call multiple times every time to schedule an appointment. They are not clear on what disqualifies you up until the moment you get disqualified. Absolutely no one in that building moves with any sense of urgency. Everyone?s having side conversations and having a great time with a lobby full of people waiting to get help. It's the same w
First time I donated I got a huge scratch from when the tech removed the needle from my arm. Then the 3rd donation it happened again, albeit smaller by a different tech. My other vein is not suitable as it's too small and on a tendon. It's frustrating to drive 30 minutes for an appointment that always takes at least 30 minutes to get called back for screening only to then get turned away because of scratches that they are responsible for. Some of the staff are really nice and helpful but I'm not sure if it'
EVERYONE at Grifols is so friendly, courteous and have a sense of humor. They're very professional and perform their tasks in a timely manor. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they're often understaffed and there can be quite a wait to get hooked up. I can't say enough about how excellent the staff are!??
Good people but if you get deferred and have to wait on the doctor to review your follow up test results ..good luck! The doctor is only in once a week and even then a day late, unavailable..family emergency, vacation ..etc. So you end up being in deferred status much longer than needed. Oh and they hardly answer their phones! Extremely annoying. You basically have to go in person just to ask a question anymore. Good people overall but the place is really frustrating at times. If it weren't for the doctor I
I have had a fantastic experience with Grifols! Knowledge staff, prompt service, enthusiastic answers to any questions or concerns. Also clean, relaxing and safe!
I have been visiting this location for about six months, and I've always wondered why there are five check-in booths but only one staff member at the front. It's frustrating that the waiting time is longer than the actual process of donating. If you're looking to waste a solid three hours, this is the place to go.
All the staff was super nice and walked me through everything since it was my first time, the saline at the end gave me chills but that was the worst part! First time you get 100$ And if you don't have a reference you can use my name:)
I have been to this plasma center since 10/2024. They don't appreciate your time and they never have enough employees. They say they can't justify bringing more employees in during more busier times. I shouldn't have to spend 2 hrs from start to finish to donate. I no longer will come back?..
For the most part the center is a lot smoother than 5-10 years ago when I previously donated. It used to take 3-5 hours everytime. Now you can get out in 1 or 2. They sometimes are understaffed but they seem competent.
Walked in this morning and stood around for ten minutes but never saw an employee. App is nothing but 1-star reviews for the last month saying it doesn't work. Guess I won't be donating.
The staff and phlebotomists t Talecris-Grifols here in Eugene are awesome! If you want to be able to make some income while also helping out someone in need of plasma, this is the place to do it.
TERRIBLY MANAGED. ALWAYS understaffed. Management and staff are antagonistic and retaliatory. Management seems to nurture a culture of fear for donors and employees. I believe Management(Soriah) bullies donors and staff. Keep your mouth shut and you'll be ok. Soriah and Eliot should be replaced. Laura, Mariah, Zach are antagonistic, aggressive and retaliatory towards donors. This behavior is tolerated by Soriah and other Management to the point it creates a Hostile Environment. Employees openly complain ab
I get in and out lots faster than other plasma places I have been to. They are always friendly and efficient!
Even when the donation center is very busy all the phlebotomist are always friendly and give every donor their full attention. They work hard to get the donors in and out as fast as they can. I appreciate all of them.
It's a good place doesn't take a lot of time and the staff is pretty awesome honestly!!!
Everybody here is so amazing, I love all the staff, they make it such a comfortable and good experience, I can't help but come back if not just to say hi to all the friendly people!
I had a great first time experience with grifols donation center a great way to make side cash an help people out at the same time??
Corporate lowered fees in a time when many are struggling financially it's a bad look on the company and the overall grifols stock has been suffering. I think this won't go well and the company is under poor management.
I think the only downfall is that there can be a long wait. Yet it has gotten better. The best thing is the staff. I know all of them by name and they all know mine. And I get along with them all.
The staff here is excellent. They are all knowledgeable and kind. They really take care of the donors and make you feel welcome.
Excellent and attentive staff. Huge shout out to the screeners and phlebotomists who do everything they can to get people through as quick as they can. It's not always easy but they try to go above and beyond.
The team at the Eugene Grifols Plasma Center is awesome. Professional, efficient, kind. It has been great getting to know them over the past 1 1/2 years.
I love to donate even though it takes a while sometimes. I haven't had any bad experiences with the staff, getting hooked up properly, or the location. Everyone here does their best to keep things running smoothly which doesn't always mean fast. I really appreciate all the work you do to make this service available to Eugene residents. THANK YOU!
Ron, Tom,Megan, Zach, and Jeff (basically the OG's) are amazing! Very friendly, nice staff that try their best to get donors in the back quickly.
I have been donating at the center for over 2 years, and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and greets u with a smile ??
I know they do good work and the staff were super friendly. But I just wanted to share that simply because you live in an RV park, you will be ineligible. Nothing to say about work or the fact that I moved from NJ all of a month ago for said job. But I do understand they have concern over their donor pool. It's just really unfortunate that something as silly as that blocks me from doing good for others benefit.
While the vast majority of the staff here are amazing, many of the talacrist policies are not. For example; i was told that the reason no one hardly answers the phone anymore is because corporate decided they shouldn't staff the front desk and phone coverage. "But when management is on site they try to answer it" ?????. I tried to call them to tell them I needed to reschedule, but no one answered which makes me a no show. That's not fair to them or me. And, I was told I have to once again jump all the new
Manager SORIAH is GREAT! If you know, you know: You only go here when you need the money. I probably never would have done a review of this place, but I had an exceptionally positive customer service experience today. I had ten or eleven visits in 2020 and 2021, but I never met general manager Soriah. And then, nine months later, I needed the money again. In July, a clerk had told me that I'd qualify as a new donor again on September 29th. I came in on the 26th to scope new donor rates for October and do
Seems like they never know how to answer the phones whenever I call and then when I do show up to schedule an appointment they seem to always be doing everything other than helping people at the counter. They offer you to call and schedule appointments but how are you supposed to call if they never answer the phone? The pay is great but the service is kinda shitty
Most of the staff is absolutely amazing professional and a joy to have! But I also see the new employees are being mistreated and it's a little upsetting to witness tbh. Rosa and blonde Meg are a great addition and I enjoy there positive energy.
Amazing service, friendly staff and a great mission to help others. Factor about 1.5 - 2 hours max and can make $110/week.
The staff is amazing! This place is great. I enjoy coming weekly and seeing everyone.
such a streamlined painless process, I've donated for 15 years and I could definitely say Eugene is the best. Far better than the plasma centers up in Salem or Portland
I've been a donor for almost 8 months and I think it's ridiculous to donate and receive $40 per donation or $60 when new donors receive $100, it's not smart and no nice to treat old donors that way
Short lived pace pick up ! Lower the weekly pay for continued understaffing slowing the process down. Make an appointment to get told you can sit in the car or go do something for 40min before getting checked in . Getting sad and over booked
The staff here rock! They are all so kind and knowledgeable, i wouldn't trust anyone else to stick me with a needle!
45 minutes behind when you open at 8:00 and it's 8:50. Management at this location should all be fired for incompetence. The staff that actually performs their duties and interact with customers are mostly kind and competent. Management should all be subject to remedial training, fired or resign.
Great staff. Always do their best to make my experience a good one.
No respect for your time. If my appointments at 8 I get hooked up by 8:45-9. So what's the point of an appointment?? I'm in sales teach your employees URGENCY I set m appointments 3 hours before work and I'm almost late every time.
Set my appointments for 7am because I work at 11am. This place has the worst Management I've honestly ever experienced, I got here an hour and a half ago and im just sitting here. If I set an appointment that's the time you take me in, have a little respect for the donors time not everyone has 5 hours to spare
Rosa is awesome and makes check in quick and comfortable. Thank you all for taking good care of me . Christopher Herrera
The way this place books appointment is not efficient at all! It is clear they do not value our time as donors! I have been donating here since March. Today would have been my 20th donation, but the wait time WITH an appointment was way too long. Every time I go in, I wait at least 45 minutes past my appointment time to even scan my QR code. With that 45 minute wait time, there is usually 4 to 5 people in front of me. Today, I got there at 820 for a 830 appointment time. It looked pretty full in there so I
This is such a great center with patient staff! They make the visit less stressful.
Donated 3 times and something has gone wrong every time. First time reception took down different info than I gave and I was waiting over an hour for nothing and had to start over. Second time at the end of the donation the needle was left in my arm for over 10 minutes and one of the techs turned off my machine and didn't disconnect me and went to another machine and immediately disconnected someone else. Third time the machine malfunctioned. Every time expect to be waiting for at least an hour even with an
PG 1: Due to character limit, this review may be partial or broken up into sections IF I can leave multiple reviews. Pls read in sequence: PG 1, PG 2, etc. If it doesn't work, I'm determined to post my FULL REVIEW & will work to figure it out.... I'm giving a 1 star for the Eugene Talecris following FIVE reasons (bad demerits). It'd be a higher score if not for these rotten, unnecessary experiences, especially the 1st, the most recent one I'm noting. I hope corporate reads this and contacts me before I
I have a great experience with the flobotomists here and they are very respectful , I personally have an anxiety condition that is very well regulated but the 3rd time I went in I did well until the return and once I started to have anxiety one of the kind people working here stayed by my side on and off until I was done and helped me to remain calm these workers take their job seriously and I have so much respect for all their staff!!also my partner who I go with has a slight phobia of needles and they hav
The staff here are wonderful and friendly. I highly recommend donating at this center!
The staff at the Eugene Talecris are genuinely incredible humans. Always warm, friendly, working as fast and hard as they can. They take great care of the people they serve, I always leave feeling like my cup is full. Can't shoot enough gold at these folx.
I originally wasn't going to leave a review on Google but the feedback form on their website wouldn't let me submit my complaint. This place is terrible. If you call in the staff will tell you to just come by and you can do a walk-in. This is frequently not true. If you make an appointment you can expect it to be at least 30 minutes late unless you've taken the earliest possible slot. The staff are overbooked and not being treated well because it comes out in how they'll treat you while you're there. Their
I went to donate plasma yesterday and they blew my vein in my right arm. I can barely move it and it's hurts so bad. It's already turning more purple and is super swollen. I used to really like this place and I have never had issues until now. I would recommend y?all stay away. Plus the same thing happened to my boyfriend when he first started donating with them. Please be careful!! (Plus they said that I had lost blood as well and if it were to happen again, I would be deffered for 56 days! How is that my
I dont recommend coming here, i will never be coming back here. i dont think I've ever had an honest nurse tell me the truth. if you are trying to donate because you r just a "good samaritan" and want to help someone, there are PLENTY of places that NEED your blood. this place is all corporate and about the money. they have a high turn over in nurses because they know what they r doing lacks purpose in the medical field. and they have lied to me EVERY SINGLE TIME I've donated about the amounts of money when
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They do a fantastic job of getting people in an out. They always go out of their way make sure that we are taken care of and comfortable. Can't recommend this center enough.
I've been donating for a while. I started a few years back, didn't come for a while and when I came back after it had been over a year I was pleasantly surprised that Laura remembered my name. The staff is always really friendly, and it's a pretty good experience overall. The only reason I don't give five stars is because it's frustrating to sit in the lobby for 45 minutes to an hour which happens probably 3 out of four the visits I have. I realize there are times when the center is more busy, but it is fru
having to wait at least a half hour after your appointment while people who walked in after you get helped first is kind of ridiculous. there's a reason people make appointments. once you get helped, everyone is nice and it's gone smoothly for me so far but the wait time is making me not want to come back
It's been a horrible week. Both Wednesday and today, Friday, it's been 3 plus hours of my time, despite me having an appointment. Not enough staff, way too many donors. The latest reviews all seem to be the same. Staff are nice but are way overworked. You need our plasma. We need money. Please compensate us for our time or raise what we receive. No bonuses, just this stamp thing where winning is unlikely. Think I'm gonna take a break because I have given 6 plus hours of my time for 110 dollars.
The staff here is always really friendly and make you feel comfortable. The staff here is always trying their best to accommodate everyone and get everyone out in a timely manner. My two favorite phlebotomists are Quinn and Megan. Kudos to those two especially. Wish I could give 5 stars but the wait times sometimes being extra long prevents me from doing so. But this is not the staff/phlebotomists' faults. The staff is what keeps me coming back.
I used to donate frequently at a facility in a different city. Night and day compared to trying to get set up to do a first donation here. There, I could walk in any time and be done within an hour. Here, I didn't even get called back for screening until almost 4 hours after my scheduled appointment time. Only to be sent home because I'm participating in a *completely non invasive* research study. I offered to provide all of the study's documentation, which I have saved to my cloud, but they wouldn't accept
Semi regular donor in my other home, but have a local address so Great! They were able to get me in for a few donations. Needed the cash. ONE lik problem/complaint. Not able to reach anyone on the fone there. They said this a new policy. Occasionally one needs to contact a staff member. Trying to make apptment online 1st time Ritenow and NotSure How it works. Could use some advice.
Fantastic way to make fast cash in a way that helps others! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Facility is clean, and they recently updated their machines! Edit to update: while the idea behind it is great, you'll be waiting HOURS past your appointment time almost every time. They used to compensate for that but not anymore. Ends up not being worth the money in the end, especially when they lower the amount you receive. It's lessened quite a bit since my first remove and they rarely have bonuses.
I appreciate the extra cash, the clinical staff is wonderful. HOWEVER, I had a 5:15 appt today and it is currently 7:15pm, I just got to my bed because I was never called. Somehow I was overlooked. I am not even hooked up to a machine yet, still waiting for that.. I am a single mom with a small child (hence the need for extra $$) it is incredibly insulting to have to wait for HOURS because the amount of appts booked are FAR too excessive for the staff to handle. It takes me 30-40 minutes to complete my dona
Been coming since December, 2022. Staff is always nice and considerate. Lines can be long sometimes so pick a day when you're free. Love that I can help people while getting a bit of cash to pay some of my bills as well!
I am going to the doctors today to get PROOF of the date that I found out I was pregnant. I called and asked the guy if he could tell me the date I last donated (so that they wouldn't be able to lie and refuse my request,) he said they would not have record of me being there and that I would have to get a new physical because it's been so long. So I just told him that I would be down there to show my proof that I found out when I was a month long, and he got an attitude with me and said "well were you defer
The staff was buzzing with all the training and a full waiting room. They remained friendly the whole time. They made me feel welcomed and relaxed. Also, each staff member I interacted with made it a point to leave me with a full understanding of the process.
Had to wait over 5 hours, give them extremely personal information including ssn and fingerprints just to be told after they got all of my personal info that I needed a doctors note because I'm diabetic. A simple sign or a staff member stating that fact at the beginning of the process would save people hours of just sitting there just to be told "sorry, thanks for your patience " if I could give negative stars I would.
This review is still 5 stars because everyone here is kind, skilled and just all-around awesome. No complaints - you guys rock. I've been donating since Jan '22. But I have to be honest, removing the doors to the screening rooms is extremely uncomfortable. Supposedly shaving off a few seconds for streamlining really feels like a personal violation when my biometrics are given to me. The screeners are extremely respectful when they speak in low tones, but it's impossible not to overhear when you are sitting
The staff here are always amazing! Despite being short staffed and very busy they always do a great job and make us feel welcome and safe. Kelsey and Quinn always make sure my donations go smoothly! Thank you!!
Lately seems there always way behind. On the appointments. Why is it that if we are 10-15 min late our appointment it is canceled. But we get stuck sitting in the lobby for an hour after our appointment time and we're supposed to be ok with it. If you can't handle that many appointments maybe cut back how many appointments you allow to be set. I'm a full time employee, and a student, trying to donate with a busy schedule is hard, even harder when I have to leave because I sit there for an hour after my appo
I have been donating for a year and a half. Everyone at the center is amazing and always helpful. They make you feel comfortable and welcome. Brenda is the best when she is screening you. She is so friendly and super gentle!
This message is intended for the company of Grifols, corporate and the employees who won't stand up to them. I find your choices to absolutely terrible. I have donated over 10 years, long enough to watch the cycle that takes place again and again. You do not show value to your employees by overworking them. There IS ALWAYS A STAFFING ISSUE. It it so sickening as a donor to have to witness the new hirees excited to work for your business only to show signs of burnout, mistreatmemt and disdain after a short
Staff was friendly, gave a lot of education assuring I understood the content and procedures and answered my questions as a 1st time donor.
They are short staffed. Show up at 9 AM and you won't leave till around 2pm. Ridiculous wait times. Doesn't matter what time you show up. Expect to be waiting 3 hours just to be screened, and then another hour in the back waiting to start your donation. Seems like they should stop scheduling so many appointments if they know they can't keep up with them.
I was very skeptical at first to come with previous reviews but decided to go anyways. Nervous going in as a new donor I was pleasantly surprised how nice everyone was and actually how smooth the process went!! I really enjoyed Missy so much. She made me feel so comfortable and always makes me feel at home when I'm donating!
When I got there, the lobby was full of people waiting for their appointments. I overheard some people that they've been there since early in the morning and still haven't been seen. The staff were unprofessional, inconsiderate of others personal information, and there was miscommunication amongst the staff. The overall cleanliness of the facility is also not what I expect from a place that deals with personal bodily fluids. I would not recommend this facility.
I was literally about to give them 5 stars but after today it's a 1 star and I'll likely never go back. I asked what their policy was about donations and the time frame around COVID boosters and they literally wouldn't tell me. Two staffers said they weren't allowed to discuss what their policy is and never referred me to someone who could answer my questions. Both staffers got very quiet and visibly irritated by my legitimate question. If they aren't authorized to answer my question they should have referr
The staff is working very hard under stressful conditions. Of late they are frequently understaffed, and 1 to 2 hours behind. Despite this, I am treated with care and kindness. I wish Grofils would compensate those of us who are patiently waiting it out. I certainly hope they are compensating the staff that are hustling their bums off there.
I've been donating since 2020 at the Stark location in Portland. I just transferred to the Eugene location a few weeks ago as I just moved to the area! I was happy that the staff here are so nice, kind, and helpful. I was nervous to get stuck because it was a new place, but they stuck me with ease and made my experience at a new donation center a good one. :)
For the most part this place is great. I usually am not there an unreasonable amount of time, most of the staff I've encountered are awesome! There are a few employees there though that are always in a bad mood, like Andrea I think her name was, she was very rude to me from the get go, and another employee said she's known for being like that. Other than that I've never had a problem with my card, it's always loaded within a half hour of donating!
I am so grateful to this place for helping me between jobs and for helping others! The staff are great, seems like a great place and group to work with! It's always clean and I've never seen any be disrespected even when the clients in the wrong
Incredible team and positive energy and attitudes! Very clean and nice!!
The staff in the back room is great! They are very kind, helpful, and do a great job sterilizing the chairs and equipment. However, the bald man with the glasses at the front desk is exceptionally rude every time I go in. He makes a point to say snarky remarks to people and has given one of my friends a very hard time about proof of address and made her wait an hour after her appointment time to check in. He acts as though nothing else matters except what he has on his task list- poor employee performance i
It seems like every time I come get they go out of their way to defer me, and everytime it's a new thing. This time it's cause the last time I donated the gal moved my site so when I came in 3 days later I was told I can't donate cause I have a needle mark that's not in the same site I normally donate. Even thought the girl who disconnected me said to me ?did you ask them to move your site? which I said no. Every time I come here the employees are always in terrible moods and act like ever question is the e
If you scheduled an appointment, then expect an hour to go by before you even get called on to start the 3 hour process. There is a reason this company is not accredited by the better business bureau, because they would have an F for sure. And it would be a fair grade. This is company that uses people with very little concern for safety. The fact that a person is allowed to donate 2 times per week continuously does not seem right. When the Red Cross will only let you donate once every 28 days.
I have to say I was very disappointed with this place. This was the first time I have ever attempted to become a donner, unfortunately I don't qualify do to the fact I was incarcerated bearly within a 12 month period. But this is not why I rate the so low. Prior to finding out I was not eligible my expirance was as if I was back in prison. No joke they have you read policy's out loud in front of them to make sure you know what there policy is, and I there book they have you read it says that everything is t
I have been donating off and on for years I have consistently encountered efficient, courteous, and helpful stay. Online scheduling is so easy and available 24/7. So if you're like me and wake up in the middle of the night realizing you forgot to schedule an appt, online scheduling is right there for you.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
