Grifols Talecris Plasma Donation Center McAllen, TX

I've been going to the Grifols on Bicentennial Blvd in McAllen, TX for about a month, and I'm very pleased with how I was treated by the staff (especially the male manager, Aliza, the 2 Crystals, Vanessa, and the gentleman who determines which arm is the best for plasma donation from new donors. They are very caring - from the front desk to blood test area/consultation, to the plasma draw area. The needle stick to draw plasma, has never caused me any bruising or issues. Personally I highly recommend this place. The facility is by far well maintained and the staff knowledgeable. From the beginning I was skeptical about donating being I had never done it before and had anxiety about needles. Yet the professional staff to include Sai(MVP), Barbs ??,Des, Laura, Jesus, Eddie, Letty, both Sonia's, Mauro(awesome work ethic), Mitch, Krystal, Danni, Alvaro, Joana, Isabel. Several other's led by James who make me feel welcomed by remembering my name. Of course you have your bad app

I appreciate the kindness of the staff , facility is very clean. And they practice all health rules. Social distancing , masks , disinfecting, ect .

The staff at this location is super nice and helpful! Everyone treats you with kindness and is always willing to answer any questions you have. The process is easy and very fast. There is no super long waiting times. I am always in and out. I've been coming here for almost three years, and I have nothing bad to say. This is why I always recommend this location to my friends and family!

Always feeling secure and welcomed! Everything is always top notch clean. Always by the book which makes me feel at ease when I donate. All the Staff is always professional and very friendly. You have a question and they take care of you. Plus the TVs they have make the experience less boring while you donate

Great staff every time I go. Friendly and very helpful. Krystal, Nancy, Mary, Mauro, JB, Alvaro and Sonia to name a few always make me feel safe and comfortable.

Super friendly workers , they make you feel super comfortable, i have never had a bad experience here ! & the good thing is that there fast so it's a super fast process I never have to wait around & they always make sure to ask questions, super clean.

Was very hesitant to donate. Saw the reviews and some were just plain rude. When I got here it was a whole different perspective. All staff is super friendly and courteous. They answer any question with concern and a smile. Times are rough and this has helped me have some extra cash especially for gas .

Most staff is pretty friendly. Two of the front end staff are not very friendly but there is enough to make up the difference. Talecris is extremely slow compared to other plasma donations sites in the area. They also don't use an online questionnaire so takes a few minutes longer to even get to the donor floor. After that though, they are very good at trying to keep donors safe. Require masks and most have a ??.

Do not waist your time here. They don't want to work and if you go the place is empty and they all move at snail's pace. They find any reason to defer you so they don't have to work. I recommend CSL. CSL is full and efficient and Talecris is completely opposite. Will contact corporate because they need to know that they are losing business because of the lack of professionalism and work ethic from all workers in this facility. If there was a option for zero stars they definitely deserve just that. Update: W

The times I'd go they'd take FOREVER to call me to the back for screening.. I'm talking atleast a good 30 min or so even though there's employees just standing there.. not to mention another long wait in the back! When it came down to being poked ... They never knew how to do it properly & I'd always have different people coming to me to fix the needle because they didn't get it right the first time thus leaving me bruises each time ?? i cringed everytime another person came up to me. Never again!

I come here on the weekends and all employees are always polite.. I don't wanna mention employee names because they all do an excellent job. I feel safe with basically everyone that works at this center.

Terrible! It never fails when I come it's always something to complain about from being unorganized: somehow them calling others before you or your having to wait to be hooked because they are busy chatting. The wait is Long even when's there's a few people.

Screeners take too long. People in the front are too busy on their phones or gossiping. Need more screeners waited 2 hours and they're was only 1 screener. And it was extremely unprofessional and hostile of a supervisor to yell at an employee in front of donors. Do better grifols. RESPECT YOUR EMPLOYEES!

This has been my go to place to donate. Staff is really friendly and helpful. There are no more waiting times, recently it's just in and out which is great! Definitely recommend.

On 11/10/2019, Danielle Zavala was my donor processor and I was so happy with the job she did. Danielle was very helpful and so caring not only with myself but also the rest of the donors in her area. She definitely knows her job and for these reasons I rate her with a number five (highest rating). I also notice that she is a real team player as she went out of her way to help her team. I very happy with her performance.

Lovely staff, helpful and patient. They have good regulations and the bonus program is great. Still going and the people that work there are as welcoming as before.

Most of the women here are really rude. July update I stand by my review still. They need to hire people that will be courteous to others. Because of people that donate they have work yet they are still rude.

Couldn't donate and no reason was given. No tattoos, piercings or history of medical conditions. When I asked why I couldn't, they just didn't want to tell me. All I got was, "Well, you moved in on the 4th so try again next year on the 4th." I told them that didn't make sense and then they gave me 2 other contradicting reasons. I'm not an argumentative person so I left it as is. I got a ride here expecting to take an hour at least so while I was waiting in the outside waiting room away from everyone else, m

My experience here is always perfect, the staff are always there if i need them plus they try to do the process a little bit faster since it is always packed. I'm so happy to know that I'm saving lives.

Have had a really great experience at this location. Everyone is friendly the moment you walk in. All plebotomists are very experienced and make you feel comfortable. Short waiting times also. Would recomend.

Giving 2 instead of one because most employees are courteous. Was told i was considered new donor. 3rd donation was supposed to be 100 but i got 50. This was after verifying with employee. Donated and got 50. They checked and said im not considered a new donor now. (I stopped donating many months ago). I was told the program wouldnt allow them to change anything. They should at least have known their stuff. Its not worth the pain and discomfort to donate for less. At least for me. Ill never come back.

This center is like a box of chocolates... About 30% know what they're doing. The rest seem to be in a perpetual stat of confusion. Management don't acknowledge their shortfalls and can't articulate in complete sentences. On the upside.. like a bad restaurant, it's nearly always empty. I won't go back until there is a change in "leadership".

Talecris Plasma is by far the best plasma donation site there is! Excellent staff, very experienced, ans long lines move VERY fast here! JB definitely needs a raise. Very fast, very precise, and very clean. Ive been donating for a WHILE and hes by far the best!

Came to bring a friend from work and he stayed if I dontehe gets a nice incentive. So I decided to help him out. So come here staff is rude didn't explain anything so just decided not to donate just off that. Well all I can say is don't waste your time , if you need the money then do what you gotta do.

The times that I've gone to donate at this plasma center they have always been super friendly the staff is really nice and caring I love that they always have awesome events for the donors prizes and raffles people need to understand it's a DONATION CENTER! people walk in thinking it's a job and they have to be rude and nasty but I've never had any issues.

The manager and the staff are really unprofessional I had made an appointment and called 3 different times to verify and make sure they had it down since I live far away only to be told I was not on the list and given attitude by the manager after telling her my situation these people do not know how to make proper appointments or how to even treat their patients right I've been having problems setting up appointments and with the staff ever since I started donating here worst experience with them ever but

I've been here since 2 pm, it is now 5:20 pm which is almost closing time . I'm a new donor and all they have done was take information and my picture. There is plenty of people working (in slow-mo) and since 2 pm only a couple of people have went back to donate. The place is only half full and I look back in the back and more than half of the beds are empty! Like what is the hold up. VERY VERY SLOW PLACE TO DONATE.

Well today my husband came in as a new donor and the lady that helped him gave him the wrong answers we had to wait for 30 minutes and than to top it off they said that he had to make an appointment. ?? next time give right answers And he wants to know how much is it for a first time donor time

I went for the first time...showed up at 8am .Thinking if I go in early enough it'll help get out sooner...NOT the case they treat first timers as if their job there is to discourage new members from coming.They took in all the ones that were returning donors first....kept us newbys there literally for 6hrs before they even began the process.Very unorgaized place. Needless to say after finally getting my name called it was only to fill out paper work and wait 2 to 3 hrs before actually completing the donors
