Now, I really really wished I had gotten some names. But I didnt. My first visit was amazing. I had my vitals done by a friendly white woman on Satruday in i believe room 2. She was very nice. Then I had my physical done by an awesome woman who has short, greying hair that she spoke of cutting soon. She was bubbly and loved to have conversation. The women who stuck me that time was very gentle and quick and got it first try. No problems. Not one employee on Saturday the 15th of February 2025 was upset, rude
Hit or miss. Some employees are very nice, caring, loving, helpful, and go the extra mile. Some are rude, reckless, and seem low-functioning. Their incompetence has caused at least 3 of my friends to get temporarily deferred at some point. Usually the place is clean. Be prepared to wait in a long line behind crackheads.
Place has improved alot. The people seem to be down to earth and really care about the donors. They also have better people to stick people. The place is alll around a great place to donate.
Nice staff of course I'm a hard stick because I have small veins but I'm just thankful to the staff members that are able to do me & I can have a smooth donation. I wish the payments were more but overall it beats a blank GOD bless them all.
Please tell me what kind of company more important what kind of management sticks a homemade sign on a door, and you do it often, that says you're gonna open up an hour late without notifying people with an appointment... Some people drive thirty miles and set the alarm to make it here at seven a m... Really quite crappy and unfair.. And for the record sticking a homemade sign on the door as often as you do doesn't make it okay...
My entire arm has been bruised for over a week now. Waited 2 hours with a ?skip the line pass? only to be stuck twice and not even get to donate/be compensated. I've donated before and worked at a plasma center as a phlebotomist and in an ER and never been a missed stick myself or left someone with a bruise covering 2 inches of their arm. Was my second and LAST visit at this center.
I'd rate them higher if it were possible. Very friendly and competent staff. They get you in and out quite efficiently. I hadn't donated in about four years but the staff helped guide me through the process again without making me feel incompetent or dumb about the whole process. I even had a few follow-up questions once I got home so I called and spoke with John at reception. He was quite friendly and very knowledgeable, answering all my questions and making sure I felt good by the end of the call. If yo
UPDATE: Within the past year or so they are no longer doing the new donor every 6 months thing. Now you are only new if you are actually new to selling to any Grifols at any time so don't plan on using that to help you every 6 months from this place anymore. BioLife is also doing this, but they are way more shady about just telling you that they changed it rather than acting totally clueless as to what you're talking about. So there's really no point in ever coming back here or BioLife ever again then until
The only good thing about this place is the wait times have gone down...but that is due to people opting to go to someplace better. The pay has been going down steadily and now they have changed to a BMI based system. On my last ( and I do mean LAST) visit they had to get my height so they could calculate how much more plasma they could take. It ended up being 25% more plasma they took while still paying the lowest of all plasma companies in the city. Never going back...there are better options nearby.
All the staff here are GREAT! Wait time have been really fast lately. They did lower the compensation by 15 bucks a week over the past year. That part sucks, but I don't know if that decision was done locally. I hope they put it back to where it was....
Horrible experience. Waited two hours just to do paperwork and asked over 70 questions about medical history and called back to then take a 10 question quiz that you are not informed about anytime prior which employee said is in risk posters and previous questions. He could not show me where it said that!! Was refused to donate to help others. I recovered from covid-19 and do not have HIV, perfectly clean bill of health and was told could not donate. Employee was talking to a new employee about how horribl
The staff are the most wonderful people you could ever meet. Everyone takes pride in their work. I wish other people could have the comfort they place upon you. Great job guys
I love the staff here. The wait can be long but definitely better than other centers in town. Management has also changed their checking process to ensure it's seamless and quicker for donors. I have seen lots of improvement over the last year and even left and came back after trying other centers in town.
EDIT: 04/22/2025: DO NOT EVER GO HERE YOU WILL BE SO SORRY there are better places in Pensacola to donate...I Stood under the new donor sign in SIGN? (WHY HAVE THE SIGN IF THERE IS NO SIGN IN?) Employees acted like they were new, like first day new... BAD VIBE The parking lot is full of people living in their cars, loitering out front, I felt unsafe, 2023: I arrived at 11 signed in (after another donor told me I need to) and waited 55 minutes on someone to acknowledge me, when they finally did I definitel
Friendly and professional staff. Not often but there are times when you wait a bit longer. Things happen and staff trys to keep the pace going. Clean facility. Enjoyable 1.5 to 2 hours!
Donovan did my physical, funny guy. Staff is always professional but down to earth and friendly. Real people persons.
Some of the staff is great but when you enter their is no one ever at the front this was my first time being they have seat for that they don't inform you about the app it didn't work like it's supposed when I trie to ask the black lady who work here for help before get any thing out she looked dead at turned away to start a different conversation. None of them seemed to know how the kiosk worked because who's new can't sign in it they didn't know they assumed I've donate even though I was sitting where th
?Clean, staff is the best plasma staff in?? Pensacola?? hands down... would've rated it 5 ??across the board...But,they need to work on more ways to up??? your donation pay?? every wk....and keep the pay out $75?? both donations...love the app (when it works)... very convenient and the Chase pay ??out card needs to have the option to get a card?? made in the donors name....cause the chip on the card?? DOES NOT WORK HALF THE TIME???? & TAP AND PAY IS FOR NOT WITH THE CARD NO MATTER WHERE YOU USE IT??!!!!
Went in for my second donation. Blood pressure was 3 points too high. I was given the option of waiting 15 minutes or trying the other arm. So I tried the other arm.still too high. Then I was told go home and try again tomorrow. I said can I just wait 15 minutes? Nope you only get 2 chances. That was not explained to me when I chose to cuff my other arm. Which it should have been because I just would have waited. Instead I wasted a 2 hour round trip
When I first started going here they were fast and awesome but now since their new system and I guess maybe a lack of employees everything is so slow. It is not uncommon to sit there and wait for four hours trying to donate. If it did not pay what it did I would find somewhere else to go, it takes half of a day to get things done and it barely seems like anybody is moving in and out. The staff has always been great
Cannot describe a worse experience. First, I had a very ?enthusiastic? man tell me he just HAD to keep trying to stick me over and over because if not it would ?hurt his ego?. He was SO persistent, he didn't pay attention to the fact he set the cuff pressure insanely high and turned my entire arm purple, EVEN AFTER i told him i could not feel my arm or fingers. He then tried to explain how it's ?counted against them? when they can't get a good stick, and tried making ME feel guilty for it. My fianc? was don
Even though they were short staffed they made sure everyone was getting the care that they needed. They are really respectful and if you needed an question answered they would make sure you got the right answer. I really love how polite they were and how respectful they were. I love how the treated the people that help serve our country for us. They were all positive towards everything and now a days people aren't that positive. I appreciate everything they do for us. I hope they keep up the good work. If a
I love donating plasma. Knowing I am getting money that doesn't go into a budget is great and also the extra money being a single mother with no child support is fantastic! And it's helping someone. I have been going a year now. Overall staff is great and always make me feel welcome. However management could do better, even tho they are short staffed there is ways around a 3 hour wait... Why don't you do pagers through your phone like DMV or check in while on the way. There is always things I could be doin
Sat there for well over an hour waiting to make my second donation after trying to sign in on the kiosk and was never helped by a staff member. Going to try coming back tomorrow but this is just kind of disappointing, hopefully tomorrow's experience is better. Update: Went back today and got everything sorted out the minute I walked in the door, didn't take too long and the staff were in a great mood and seemed very on top of things.??
If you like sitting in one place for half a day for $50, this is the place for you. They have 6 intake booths, but only one is ever functional. Nothing wrong with the other 5, they just don't put any employees in them. So you get to the lobby, sign in, take a ticket. You might get called in less than 2 1/2 hours but that's rare. When they do call you, it begins to make sense. The front is suspiciously empty of employees most of the time. But when you get to the back, you get another chair to wait in for a
Terrible staff. Alot of playing and chit chatting amongst employees. Seems as if there are no supervisors running the place. At least 3 hours to do whole process for all donors. I'm eed to get employees in check
Only go to this place if you have absolutely nothing else planned for your day. Expect to dedicate an entire day for your first donation. The last time I came here, I dropped my husband off at KED, he was a new donor there. He was in and out in under 2 hours. I was a return donor at talecris and it took 4 hours. There you go people. Talecris is the slowest and most dysfunctional plasma donation place in pensacola. I went for the first 4 $100 payments, but I'm not going back. Employees are nice but VERY slo
First: I work in healthcare and if I acted the way an employee talked to me today at my job then I would be fired immediately. A little bit of niceness and bedside manner goes a long way. Second: overall the place is pretty chill, and people ?do their jobs?. They don't do much other then their jobs though. I'd honestly give this place 5 stars if some of the employees weren't so ugly to patients. Your employee: Caranda Taylor (absolutely awful) was incredibly rude today while I was trying to come in to don
I really feel like a single donation, an a regular donor shall not take 3 hrs, the Company shall be on the staff to move donors out faster, I promise your staff move with a no care attitude, Like I'll call you when I call you, even on a slow Tue morn 9am it shouldn't take 30 to 45 min to get screened, Grifols please help the long wait. The staff otherwise is good.
Not a professional business. First-time donating in over a year so I decided to come here. Stood at the desk for 20 min to talk to someone, no one came out. They had a sign saying don't use the kiosk. Decided to sit and wait another 15 because they seemed busy. Still no one came to the desk or any guidance given. Talked to two people who got there before me, they had been waiting for almost an hour and they were return donors. That's when I just walked out, I'm not doing business with s place like that.
Mismanaged, the perfect display of incompetence. The staff is nice but useless. They barely get the job done, at the slowest pace possible, largely due to the free for all atmosphere offered by the lack ofanyone deserving of a supervisor role. No accountability, low productivity.
Very nice staff. The process is now quicker and the first time used to take longer now it isn't 6 hours its 2 to 4, but once you become a regular you are pretty much in and out. The new staff members are nice. Its normally $50 dollars your first 5 donations then $25 the first donation of the week and $45 the second donation of the week plus a bonus like this month that second donation gets you $65 cause its $45 plus a $20 bonus for coming in the second time that week. Its not bad at all.
Edit: tacked on an extra star cause the last two visits were much improved. Just hope it sticks..lol Don't know what's happened to this place but it's going downhill fast. Vomit on the sidewalk by the front door and half the kiosk area reeked of urine( also had a rat running around in front!!!). Doesn't exactly scream sanitary, does it?? Also, while they do have a lot of friendly, smiling employees they also have some that never smile and if they have to talk to you, they act like it's putting them out. Donat
This overall is a good place. Nice employees, clean facility used to be in and out. Now, not even being a new donor just a regular day it could take 3 hours to donate. Like frozen syrup moving uphill.
Will someone help us with new machines ? Also some good workers? Two or three.. Workers work very hard. If you get there an hour before or after they open you shouldn't have a bad time. Many people going to donate for the wrong reasons, they show up at the door right before it opens or randomly throughout out the day. Stay away from the drama, and the donors looking to riot about money when iRemember places used to pay 25-45. Maybe we should go back to that ! - Michael
I've been donating for several months. Every time I arrive I feel welcome. Always a smiling face! The staff are professional, kind, upbeat! They smile, talk with you, make you feel appreciated. I love the fact Every one chats with you I believe they all go out of the way making everyone comfortable.
Update!! I've now given plasma 8 times and don't believe what they tell you about the time it takes to get the procedure done! Some days over 3 hours, not once have I been in and out in the hour and half expected wait! Im probably done with this place, not managed well, I would not recommend this place to anyone! I've never given plasma so I don't know what to expect, but I've gone in twice, sat in the new donor area, and no employees have said anything, no human anywhere. For hours. I've called and been to
staff was friendly and went pretty smoothly. little advice drink PLENTY OF WATER two days before you donate.Takes forever if you are a little dehydrated
This place is entirely toooo slow you can come and have 9 people in front of you and your still waiting for at least a hour ...noone is ever at front desk to ask questions they only have 2 booths for intakes open at a time CSL is FASTER they just have lower donor fees so if u come plan to be there at the very least 4 hours. They used to be better at speed but seems like they had better employees at that time now they talk n joke be outside smoking meanwhile the lobby is full of donors. Yall need to step it u
I have never been treated so poorly in my life, I was a return donor after 6 months the girl behind the desk took my ID had me fill out a form on an iPad then told me a nurse will be with me within 2 hours, 2 hours later when people that got there after me were being helped I asked what was going on at first they couldn't even find my ID so then things got sped up a little, interview blood test. During the physical I mentioned I was healthy for a stage 3 cancer survivor, told them I had an expired medical m
I love it. Its slow because staff is a over worked with little pay. New workers coming in and they quit. The ones that stay there the longest is working too hard for other workers that think they know everything and they are new. People should understand if you u come inthere en be prepare to wait a long time andd they will get to you as soon as they can.
I've given plasma before but I thought I would try this plasma center since it was closer to my house. After waiting 3 hours on Sunday morning, the nurse accidentally hit fail on the computer for a written quiz I passed, and without anyone to override it I had to come back the next day. The next morning (today), we joked about how she hit failed on the Computer day before and she made sure she didn't hit fail this time. Then I went through the steps for being a new donor at this center. Finally get to the b
I've been to all the plasma centers in Pensacola and this one doesn't pay the most but in my opinion it is the best one the employees are hard workers and always have a great attitude despite being overworked underpaid understaffed only reason I have given them 4 stars is because of the wait time here and the compensation could be a lot better the ked plasma center pays 40 1st time of the week then 100 the 2nd time of the week and that's after all the new patient promotions but the ked plasma staff is super
Showed up as a new patient and was told to come back in an hour. I came back and there's a line of new donors in front of me. If you ask me it felt personal to turn me away for no reason. Your staff wasn't present at front desk and were not helpful at all. They really failed to explain anything total waste of time very disappointed. I think it's time for re staffing
I love love love this center!!! The people are awesome (most of them) the pay is great and the overall environment is so welcoming. I always have a great time and every week I look forward to my donation days!! Highly recommend
I absolutely love to donate here. I worked at another plasma center years ago and got yelled for changing my gloves between donors. I love that everytime I donate here they not only change their gloves but they use hand sanitizer. I also watched a new person who was being trained wash their hands after every third changing of the gloves. I love their commitment to cleanliness. I also adore the fact that anytime I have a question they are quick to answer it. If the person I am speaking to does not know the a
Employees are rude, take forever to do their job, and when they arent understaffed they joke around with eachother and act unprofessional.
Crazy long wait even when there are only three or four people waiting. When you finally get to the back, you are often just left lying on bed for 30-45 minutes while the staff fools around. Making your total time there, as a regular donar, 2++ hours. They also seem to be very disorganized..4 employees working in one section and just 1 in another. Actually had an employee tell me she was going to take her time because if she had to be stuck there then we might as well be too. NOT donor friendly. Switc
Most the time it's fine, but lately, they are completely understaffed. The plasma booths are way too empty to sit around and wait and wait and wait. Four people on the floor...it's ridiculous! I'm sure loads of people have stopped donating because the wait time, who has that much time to kill smh! But on a positive note...90% of the staff are incredible people.
Use to come here all the the tine so i know things have changed, went in for my second donation was never told the first time i came in that they call by number instead of by name so i never took a number i sat for an over an hr before i relized people that had arivved after me where being called up these types of things should be comunicated with new donors.
Very unprofessional. The workers are standing around talking about a coworker, who apparently does not like to come back to work after lunch. I get having issues in the work place, but to be so loud and obnoxious about it is very unprofessional. Then to see people waiting and just stand around and talk about your coworkers, not moving anybody along, I don't understand. I get the first time is usually a long process, but 5 hours? Got here at noon, and still waiting to be stuck? Not sure it's worth it. I see
My wife donates at this location and she's very happy with all the staff. They are all very friendly and professional . Ashley is a nurse at this location and. MY wife's says she is her favorite
Worse center I have been to, by far!!!! Very incompetent. Wasted my time 3 days in a row saying I could donate but each day had a new excuse after sitting for hours as to why I could not. Need to get their acts together! Claim I cannot donate without a lease or utility bill both other centers welcomed me with a regular proof of address. I would not recommend this center to anyone unlesz they want to be lead on a runaround!!!
I gave plasma here while in my undergrad at UWF and was told by their staff that they tested my plasma and it tested positive for Hepatitis C. He also told me I was put on a national list that would prevent me from donating any blood products or organs ever again and I could never be taken off. I was understandably upset, confused, and shocked by hearing this news and the staff member that gave me the news was extremely rude and scooted me right out the door. After several agonizing weeks of waiting to get
Love this place. Workers are great ! Great experience and always need donors. Nurses are the best here. They are so gentle. Can't feel a thing and never bruising. Way to go nurses !!!!
Staff are polite and professional? But the look of the clientele is sketchy at best. Talecris looks like the darkest hoods of Detroit. I shouldn't fear for my safety when I'm donating plasma. The waiting room was full of addicts and criminals. Please, find a plasma center not in the ghetto. I do not recommend this place.
I didn't really agree with the new express line bc the people who use the kiosk are waiting longer so the people who use there phones are in an out but other than that it's been really good an the staff makes doing this worth it they ask you how your doing an so on a so forth
This place is great ?? the staff is nice and Everytime I go in to donate I have a great experience, in my opinion this is the best place in Pensacola to donate at so come on down
Do NOT rely on them for a steady income if you are naturally full of energy. I practically have to sedate myself to keep my pulse barely under 100 bpm. They make it very difficult for people like me to donate. I'm healthy, I just naturally have a high heart rate.
Yall advertise for people to donate that you need donors. Walked in around 4:15 after I got off work waited about 10 min to even be greeted and told I have to xo.e back in the morning their not taking any new donors . Please post this on your we site because that was a waste of gas and time . It says no appointment necessary yall had 2 people in the waiting area
Very nice and clean plasma center. Unlike the other places, they wipe the beds after each use and change thier gloves after contact with each donor. Very friendly and and will make you feel like part of a family.
Like ALL donations centers, the staff Is overworked and underpaid, like Wal Mart employees. Most just do "their job" and move to the next person. But try speqking to them respectfullly and you might find them to be human. Its easy money and I dont go there to make life long friends. Overall all its a good place. I reccommend it. The first time, plan on spending about 4 to 6 hrs, just for testing and paper work. The rest of ur visits, 2 hrs or so.
I like to share the good. NENE is so great? she is ALWAYS in a good mood? always helping snd jumps in whenever needed? I used to requests her to stick me? now she just knows? lol DEFINITELY AN ASSET TO YOUR TEAM!
I gave this place a 4 out of 5 even though the equipment looks old, the blond giving physical was snippy about some tapping, and when I called they hung up on me. Oh yeah nor very friendly bUT tabi stuck my van real good so they get a 4.
I don't mind donating because it does pay well but the wait is excessive. I go maybe once a month if I want to get my nails done or something but I refuse to sit for 3-4 hours for $50
Staff are very unprofessional and talk about patients and treat people like trash they called my fianc? fat and told her that's why she had problems donating
I prefer to go to Telecris over other centers in Pensacola for numerous reasons. I'm not treated like cattle, friendly staff, faster service, no waiting in a line for a number, better pay, better incentives and they even have a recovery area if you're not feeling well after donating. They gave me Poweraid/Gatorade and a snack and kept an eye on me until I felt better and my dizziness went away.
Workers there are great and really make you feel welcomed best place in Pensacola to donate
Despite a mask requirement, multiple donors are not covering their noses. One has removed her mask for her personal comfort. Staff is refusing to enforce it's policy (Shelby) . Also, several staff members are not wearing masks property.
This location is very fast and has a very good system to get people in and out. It is very clean. The staff is so nice, and do a very good job making you comfortable.
Rate5 stars new donors please be weary of the fraudulent advertising agreement stating initially that new donors will receive 125$ upon your first four visits well let's just say they changed it and all the while they never once notified about their midterm changes I will never ever recommend them for the lies told to me and the agreement that they never measured up to I received 125 my first 2 visits and that's it my third donation they ripped me off receiving only 40$ when they said 125$ upon first 4 vi
Best staff I've ever encountered! From the time you walk in, until the time you leave!! Been a loyal donor for 2 years now and I have NO COMPLAINTS!! EMPLOYEES WORK VERY HARD AND PROFESSIONAL :-)
Well grifols can blatantly lie to you and never follow up on the agreements and violate their own terms and agreements about your first four donations being 125$ donations as a new donor and then say it's only their first two donations and for that I'm never ever gonna recommend them after what they Just did to me conglomerates and false presentations deceptive cons for this I will never go their ever in my life again unless and until they fix what the lied to me about false intellectuals and smooth talker
Everytime I come, even when its not busy, i still have to wait 2 hours before i can even get onto a bed to donate! Today I've been waiting for 3 hours! Its not even busy????
Unhelpful, extremely rude, I wouldn't go there if you payed 3x more than everyone else. Don't waste your time at this location. Unprofessional in summary please restaff everyone.
Well tried to give today...but was denied because they said they was without power but the entire block had power...sht even the building connected to the plasma center had power....what it really comes down to is complete disregard to help people...they just decide no where not open in today and no one think twice because of Tropical Strom....i call it what it is...a big pile of BS...
Great towards My chikfila funds. The saving lives is cool too. Great friendly staff. S/O To ole Vick back there.
They are very slow..it's not ran in a timely manner.. They also need a runner on the floor at all times. It needs improvement. The employees work hard under paid and under staffed.
The only thing that I can really say is when you know your machine is done and you can see that it says complete??? Where is the person to unhook me and send me on my way, I literally wait like 10-12 minutes to be unhooked.
This place is horrible you stay here for hours they have issues almost every time you come people don't know how to stick and especially when you have to sit here and do nothing because our machines aren't working they don't even try to compensate you for anyting I'm not I said maybe you guys were maybe two guys Park play music
It's been over 4 hrs and I still have not received my $ on my card...now I'm out of gas on the side of the interstate. I was really depending on this money ?? I will not be back.
Great experience. Good employees. With as much people as they deal with they are all very patient. I recommend everyone go to Talecris
Was nice place but one test came back positive, went to doctors office got retested more in-depth test came back negative, but plasma center said there test can come back positive and may not be accurate, so my in-depth test came back negative but now the center says I have to wait 12 months to donate again, people may die because of the centers inaccurate test but they don't care so I'll keep my plasma and and maybe the center can get more accurate test or shut the doors because of inaccurate testing where
What a great experience! The facility is very clean and the staff is awesome, professional, pleasant and helpful. Many thanks to all.
Would love to donate, but called over 10 times to make appointment and they never answer the phone. Clearly not staffed well
Took 5 hours to get in and out when I complained about how long the staff just said too bad you don't like it go to CSL so I'm going to take your advice and go to CSL
Ridiculous you have to wait in the lobby for at least 1 hour then you still have to wait in the back for almost another hour!! For you to actually donate takes about 2 hours! For them to attend you is horrible.
I haven't donated in over a year but everyone was always very nice and professional. It was a pleasant environment.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
