My husband and I both regularly donate at the Grifols Talecris plasma center in Provo, Utah, and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The entire staff is consistently friendly and professional?we truly can't single out just one person because everyone is exceptional. Their kindness immediately puts you at ease. Every phlebotomist we've worked with has made the process quick, smooth, and virtually painless. My husband is usually nervous around needles, but the care and comfort provided here have
This place is 5 stars expect for Connie! She is bossy and rude. Terrible people skills! Doesn't know how to talk to anyone without being condescending. If I didn't ever have to deal with her at check in then this place is 5 stars all the way. Everyone else working here is awesome.
I've been donating for forever, and all I have to say is every time Haley sticks me I can't tell when she does! Quite friendly as well! And super experienced! Heck, the whole team is really experienced. They know what they're doing. Great way to get some cash on the side.
I donated for the first time yesterday and the process was so simple and easy! Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer any questions that I had. What really make it such an amazing experience was when I did my physical with Rachael. She was so kind and genuine and it took no more than 15 minutes! She is definitely good at what she does, as well as the rest of the staff!! I will definitely be back! :))
Rachael and Justin were super friendly, and very genuine. Good experience with all the employees. Got pretty lightheaded at one point, and 3 of the workers rushed to help me. Really appreciate the way the helped me, and how friendly they were.
I had a great experience! Finished in 32 minutes once I got hooked up! Everyone was so kind and very good at their job. I felt 100% informed on the process of things and I felt like I was in good hands! This is definitely the place to go!!
I love this place so much. Its the fastest plasma donation I've ever done, within 1hr all done. Thanks to their kind and prompt attention. I like that they don't waste your time. Everyone is working and focusing on the donor at all times. All the people I've met are nice. I will keep coming here. In comparison, I've spent more than 2 to 3 hrs at Biolife in several occasions so this place is a gem to me.
New equipment setup ?bowls? are the worst! I've been donating since May 2023. Typically donate in 45 minutes.Since the change it has been over an hour each time. No problem with the flow when the blood is being taken but horrible on the return. Today took over 2 hours. Drank more fluid as recommended, changed my diet day before and day of donating after being told high lipids can contribute to being slow. My total cholesterol runs low at about 175 with triglycerides of 63. I have pipes for veins, I'm a cli
This place is great. Love the staff, super friendly and efficient, and it's a quick and straightforward process. Can usually be in and out in an hour and fifteen. Great place. I like it much better than another location I went to as well.
I've been donating here for months and have never had a bad experience! The workers are pleasant and remember names and faces. It's a great time to literally relax and make money!
I absolutely love donating at this center. All the employees are so friendly and it is a very clean environment. Macie did my last stick and it didn't hurt. I always enjoy seeing her and knowing I'm in good hands.
Super friendly staff! Always positive experience interacting with the lower level staff. Especially Kylie and Meg. They've always been welcoming and sincere. The company overall sucks! They don't give a crap about you personally. While they continue to sell your plasma for more and more, they continue to lower the amount they pay you for your plasma. They have lowered the pay out three (3) times just this year. Nearly $300 less than it was less than a year ago. And on top of that they have started taking e
Went here for like a year during COVID and the some of the staff were just super off putting and hard to work with imo. One time they spilled iodine on my clothes and I had to throw them away.
I have been donating plasma at multiple different centers since 2018, Biolife and even some of the other Grifols centers don't even come close to the quality you'll get here. Love donating here and all the staff are fun to be around. Also morning crew rocks!
I finished my 3rd donation here. What I feel is that the employees are very nice and professional. They found my vein really quick (I thought it will take time to find it becasue I can't see my vein myself in order to my arm fat). After donating, I didn't even feel when they took the niddle out from my arm lol. I'm sure that I will visit here in advance!
I have donated 124 times at this location in particular. I haven't gone to any other grifols and even though I work in the same lot as one I always come back here. I know the people. They care and I appreciate them. I had a rough donation just 10 minutes ago but they made sure I wasn't in any discomfort or pain. Not everyone can donate plasma comfortably and consistently. If you can or want to try? I can't suggest this grifols in particular. Thank you guys for your help!
My experiences here have always been great. Melody helps me out every time and makes every visit to the center a great one! She's so accommodating and kind.
I started donating in July 20 24 and have been doing it for about seven months now and I've had a great experience with all the staff. The phlebotomist are amazing especially Julia and Bryson. I've only ever had one complication with donating and haven't had any major issues. I've also appreciated the donating incentives. It also gives me time while I donate to work on homework, which I also enjoy.
Bryson makes a long donation feel short with his enthusiasm for life and the donors and he DEFINITELY doesn't jest with me about ?breaking? the machines (last part is sarcasm fyi). ?? I really appreciate John?s sense of urgency! He got the needle in so smoothly and it was a really good stick!
Such a quick, fun, easy way to make more than just a couple extra bucks! If you donate the max amount of times per month, you can make $500 a month! Plus $400 for the first 4 donations. Donating plasma is actually healthy for YOU and super beneficial for the plasma reciever. It's a win/win situation for everyone involved! The staff/employees are excellent! They are all super knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, accommodating and quick! Definitely recommend!
quick, easy, & painless. bryson was helpful & answered any questions i had. he is also experienced and it shows, he found my vein quickly and had no problem sticking me, he didn't need to search around in my arm for a long time and cause any pain at all. i?ve donated at another plasma center before in the past and didn't like my experience there. i?ll be coming to this location in the future!
I really loved coming here! The staff was super quick and very friendly. I'll definitely be back!
I always feel taken care of when I come in here. Very fast and precise with what they do. Shout out to Skylar and Haylee for being a great help.
Just got done donating here! I love Grifols because I'm welcomed by friends and staff that anticipate and provide the best environment. Management is personable and the process is easy. Easiest $$ ever. 10/10z
Grifols on W Columbia is the best place to donate, Haley is the most welcoming person when you arrive and Bryson and Haylee are some of the best phlebs I've ever seen! Definitely would recommend donating here!
I've always had positive experiences donating at this location. I always am in and out in about an hour which is faster than most other plasma locations I've donated at in years past. Macie has always been especially helpful, whenever she does my stick she's very attentive and makes sure everything is running smoothly. she's extremely personable and always makes me feel comfortable. great location to donate!!
I loved the staff there! I had Melody help me out, and she was so nice and really made my experience with them better!
All the staff is great! I never have a negative experience here with the people and they know how to be kind for everyone.
Melody was amazing! She is so kind and inviting. She also gave me a lot of information. She definitely knows what she's doing!
Melody was very friendly and made my first time donating a fun, relaxed experience especially with being so nervous.
I have been donating at this location for over a year now! I really like the slower pace this location has.
Everyone who's helped me has been so friendly! I just recently went to donate plasma at this location for the first time and it was a great experience!
This is the best plasma center in Utah County hands down, and I've been to almost all of them. Usually in and out in just one hour! Not to mention the staff here are super friendly and fun to be around. Plus they give out free ice cream!
The service is quick and professional while at the same time they make getting stuck with a needle enjoyable. The workers are all great and know what they are doing
I love this place. Their sticks are always so good. Mosiah is my favorite worker
The techs are very friendly. It's a nice atmosphere to be stabbed in :)
I love coming to donate in the mornings they get you through really fast and my donation is always under 40 minutes whenever John sticks me! If you donate in the morning definitely ask for him but honestly everyone there is amazing!
Honestly If I could give this location an absolute ZERO STARS rating, I WOULD. Two days ago I went in with my husband, and I had an awful experience-- wasn't even able to donate because it was too painful how they stuck the needle. Fast forward to today, this is a photo of my husbands arms after they let a girl who really didn't know what she was doing AT ALL poke around in his veins. PAINFULLY hurt his right arm, then stuck his left arm but didn't have a clue what she was doing, so bad to where he had t
Donating was a breeze and the entire staff were outgoing and easy to work with, will be back for future donations!
I've been donating plasma here for a few months now and it's very nice and easy. Justin is one of the guys that's always helping me during my screenings he's an awesome guy, and does speak Spanish for those who need it. Nick is another guy that is great with his customer service, usually helps me get checked in. Overall great location!
I've been donating here for a few years now. The staff is super nice and attentive. Shout out to Mosiah! He's super friendly and is always so careful when he does my stick.
I have been going here for the last seven years. The staff is amazing friendly and a great environment. Never have to worry that people didn't know what they are doing. I always enjoy seeing Connie. Meg, Justin, and Katherine are great screeners. Kylie, Haylee, Mosiah, Julia and Skylar are good phlebs and make the whole experience comfortable as donating plasma can be.
This center is great! The staff are super friendly, especially Bryson, he is the absolute best phlebotomist ever, no one can come even close to his level of expertise in sticking a needle. He can even do it with his eyes closed! Don't worry about having any problems when he's around. I can't wait to come back just to talk to Bryson, honestly he's the reason to go donate!
I've donated at another center for a long time. When I came to this one, they have a rule that says you can't have your phone out while in the screening booth. I really don't like needles and blood and doctor stuff in general. I just do plasma cause I need money. When I explained that, the staff didn't care at all and still had me put my phone away even though I need it as a distraction. The other center I had gone to for quite awhile had no issue with it and it never ever caused an issue. The staff had no
Very friendly staff and a great experience every time. The process is very efficient and painless.
They were quick, friendly, and efficient. That guy Mosiah was really funny too
Me and my wife have both been donating here for over a year. We've both donated at other centers in the past and have found this one to be much faster with better staff as well.
This was my first time donating plasma. The staff was nice and helped walk me through each step politely but efficiently. Nick was nice and professional for the physical, and Mosiah did a great job explaining the process and performing the stick. He seemed confident and careful, so I felt comfortable. The prep stuff took a while and felt repetitive, but I understand why. The actual donation was pretty short (~30 minutes). I didn't have much of a wait time, and the atmosphere felt pretty calm and relaxed wit
Super friendly staff and very kind shout out to kyile for always being great and welcoming
Called about my med record and they told me to go to a physician if I wanted data
I have been donating here for a year now and every donation is such a great experience. Bryson especially has always done such a good job doing my stick and never fails to make the environment uplifting and positive.
Mosiah Kylie Haylee Macie and Nathan are amazing what a great environment!
Fast, friendly, and efficient. Second donation now and both have been a great experience.
It always takes forever. Takes forever to get hookedup, takes forever for them to unhook you. Average time is like 2 hours minimum every time.
I am so impressed by the culture in this place. I have studied management and company culture. All of the boxes check off. Cohesiveness among the staff? Check. Clear goals? Check. Impressive professional results? Check. Clean facility? Check. You would think the at a place that connects you to a machine through a needle would be a ho hum environment. Not so. There is always music playing. The staff get along beautifully. Connie is an icon. I actually love going here. Management, five stars well earned!
I have been donating here for 3 years and have always felt welcome and cared for. John is an incredible phlebotomist and always flies through my procedure. I would recommend him highly
The absolute best employees! This is the center I recommend to everyone.
Macie was great! Her needle insertion was quick, clean, and I barely felt it. She took great care of me and made me feel comfortable! Ask for Macie when you go!
The staff are great, and I've never really had much of a long wait time. My only real complaint is the pay scale. For now the third consecutive month, the pay has gone down, and the prices of literally everything around has only gone up. I've donated at various Grifols places for now 5+ years and this is the first time I've seen the scale has gone down consecutively like this. Pretty unmotivating to want to donate with them anymore, I'm going to be calling around to other places.
Such an amazing center! All the employees are so nice!
Mosiah and Bryson were the best phlebs ever! I felt welcomed and at home. I hope their good auras can be shared with more donors ??
I've donated off and on here for years, the staff are all pretty great so that is why I keep coming back. And I know a lof of the policies they have to comply with are from their parent company. But this month is the second month in a row that they've lowered their donation payment prices. I think it's time to call around to other centers and see what they are paying. Reply: tell your corporate managers to stop lowering the compensation rates. If anything, they should pay more because inflation is real and
It was a great place. That's why I decided to go back there when retuning to plasma donation. They'd changed their policies on return new donors getting paid new donor price, which they didn't tell me until the physical which was most of the way through the 2-3hr setup process. I felt taken advantage of since I was missing work to be there and $40 was not worth 3 hrs of my time especially on that particular day. Also because I had my choice between going back to this place I liked, or going elsewhere that
Way better than BioLife! It's so fast.
Well taken care of. And had a easy time. Will be back!
I love donating here! They are all really nice and super helpful especially Mosiah! Whenever he does my stick I donate super fast!
Fun place to go and donate. All are friendly. If you try to be personable with them they will reciprocate. I've been going here for 8+ years. I am sorry for the previous low review someone left about the employee salsa talk, my fault. I feel close to people here since I go so often and wanted to share a delicious smoked salsa I make. I guess I'll keep it to myself next time so they don't fight over it ??.
I have had so many great experiences at this location. The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. They are professional, and I feel like they do the best they can with the hobbling placed on them from corporate. My recent donation times have been less than 90 minutes, and the ability to schedule two weeks ahead online is a bonus. Highly recommend.
Great experience every time I go. Especially with Bryson there. He is great at his job!
Parker is the best phlebotomist. Every time he sticks me for donation I never have any problems with my donation and he's always super welcoming.
Just remember that in this business model you are the product, so don't be surprised when you aren't treated like a customer. That being said, it's honestly so hit or miss. 50% of the staff is great, and the other half treats you like cattle. I don't think it's appropriate to name names but there are two staff members specifically that are so unpleasant to interact with that I genuinely feel sorry for their friends and family.
Ive been coming here to donate since February. Its been a great experience and recently one of the girls, Lucy, has made it an even better experience. Not only does she make the process smooth and easy, she also makes it fun. She talks to me rather than having a straight face and there purley cause she has to (like 1 or 2 of the other girls there) Ive never had any other issues and theyre very professional and make sure you well taken care of during the donation process.
EDIT: I was going to take this down, as they fixed the machines, but they CHANGED them back to the broken ones. So now it's lost a star, workers are still super cool, but corporate is screwing them over. I've had a mixed bag at this place. On the one hand, the staff is absolutely friendly and I really appreciate that! They definitely work hard and it shows. It's clean, well staffed, and overall a good environment. The downside is that their machinery is downright broken. They've read my pulse around 145 si
Mosiah is one of the best here! He has been my phleb multiple times and is smooth and professional! Come here and donate!
I've been donating plasma here for the better part of a year and always have quite an amenable time. Everybody who works here is very kind, and I've come to feel I have good friends here. Everybody here is great to me, but a shout out goes in particular to Lucy, who always makes excellent company.
In general, this is a good place to donate. My donations usually don't take longer than 1hr 30min from the time I walk through the door to when I walk out. However, I seem to have just had some bad luck lately with having my time wasted. First example: I had to re-take a blood test because of low protein. When I called in a week later and asked if the results were in, they told me they were. But since they can't tell you the results over the phone, it was only after driving all the way to the center that i
A lot of the staff are great. Super friendly and conscious of your time. Occasionally, however, there are some issues. The front desk staff can be very very rude. Most of the time when you're finished donating, you wait and wait and wait, and they just sit around you talking. No one helps you. The medical guy they have on staff is not a nice man. Super aggressive and sleezy.
The staff is friendly and they do their best to take care of you. But their best isn't enough and friendly only goes so far to mask incompetence. Twice now in the last year or so I've been deferred due to their mishaps. I withheld reviewing the first time because I understand that things happen but now that it's happened twice, I feel the need to tell people to beware of this location and think about finding a different spot to donate. The night of my second deferral, around half of the machines were flashi
Usually I have a quick and easy experience here at Talecris but tonight was really rough. I had to wait 45 min after my appointment time before I even got hooked up to a machine. The workers are great and its obvious that they are trying their best but apparently they need to hire more flebs or reduce the number of donors that can come at a specific time.
I had a pleasant experience when I was able to donate. Then they told me that I could not donate any more. I talked to my doctor and he said there is no reason that my issue should preclude me from donating. Very frustrating.
A good place to donate!! I have been going here for 3 years!!!
This place is the best place. This is my six out of seven the one in Orem I will not recommend anybody to go to almost 15 minutes for them to take out the needle after being finished this place here in Provo is the best if people were nice. I would recommend all my friends to come here
The place is super chill, clean, and when they guided me throughout the whole new donor process I felt very welcomed and relaxed. I've been donating for a couple months. I enjoy donating here when I don't have to get scanned by Connie. She ruins the whole experience. She barely tells you what to do and makes you feel stupid and comes across as super rude. Last time she pulled my arm under her armpit so she can get my blood pressure because she doesn't want to come closer to the table and raised her voice a
Excellent service, everyone is very friendly
Been coming here for years. Friendly and efficient staff. Shout out to Connie and Terry. They're the best!
Everyone here is so friendly! John especially is so nice and personable! And he's never missed, so that's a plus!
This center is by far the best center to donate at! I feel like if you try and talk to the employees in a kind way, they will do the same to you. It definitely can't be easy working here with everything they have going on and with how busy it gets, but I genuinely feel like the employees do the best they can without going insane, especially the evening screeners. Definitely donate here! You will be treated well. Also, shout out to Cameron and Cydney for being amazing med staff
This plasma center is my favorite, and I have been to quite a few! Mosiah keeps things very interesting on the floor so I am always entertained and well taken care of!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
