I've been going to this center for over a year now and I've never had a bad experience. Every staff member is friendly, accommodating and considerate throughout the donation process. Staff and medical are always ready to assist you if you need something and are great with communicating about any questions you have as a donor. You get to know these people as you donate, seeing them twice a week for months at a time. Their payout and promotions provide a good source of money on the side and the Chase Debit c

Rude and judgemental staff. Website is also misleading saying they recommend people bringing in support to ease the process but really they just want you to bring people to donate. I can not donate because of medical reasons and was there as support and to see how the process goes in order to recommend people but not anymore. If they were nicer more people might be willing to donate. Sad because people really do need plasma and they should make it more welcoming/comfortable for people who are willing to don

My experience at Talecris Plasma in Salem was frustrating and disappointing. On multiple occasions, I spent a significant amount of time waiting, only to be told I couldn't donate?often for reasons that could?ve been communicated upfront. The process felt disorganized and inefficient, with poor communication every step of the way. After going here 6 times I would not recommend it to anyone nor will I be returning. Bedside manner is terrible almost every time. I went in to donate for the first time a couple of weeks ago and went through the whole 3 hour process only for them to tell me I can't donate at the time because of an allergic reaction to a medication from years ago and that I'd need to consult my doctor further in order to donate. I called to get some information on the process and the receptionist had no information on what I was asking so I had to proceed to ask her if she could find out. She put me on hold for such a small amount of time that I know she just sat there then proceeded to give me the same answer of I would have to come in to ask in person. Made an appointment online, as I walk in they are sitting down and caught off guard that I'm there. It was near close and I was surprised they allowed an appointment to be made online the day before so late, but I moved my schedule around to accommodate. They refer me to their manager who immediately said I had flat veins and I should drink water and do arm pumps. They were just trying to pass me off to the next day with zero ability to honor their commitment to an appointment. I have HUGE veins and work

This place has been very good to me over these past 104 donations. The staff are always nice and polite and don't treat me like a number, they talk to me like I'm visiting my friends twice a week. Alma, Jordan, Brittney, Sarah, Tanner, and Bridgett are all amazing workers and people. They all have earned this 5 star review.

Got denied from being able to donate because my address was listed in their system as a "group home". Told them it wasn't and they didn't listen to me at all.

Worst phlebotomists I've ever encountered. I've donated 25 times and they've infiltrated me 5 times. I have given lots of blood for health reasons in my life, and I've never had problems until coming here. Unprofessional environment- I.E. underage workers talking about drinking alcohol and taking drugs while on the floor. Always a rude receptionist. I will just say after reading these comments it seems Sara needs to be promoted and the rest of the staff sucks! unfortunately I've donated at a ton of different places and for some reason professionalism seems to be the lowest of priorities! waiting for endless hours ,with a waiting room full of people,while the staff is laughing at something funny on their phones looking on their phones goofing off and not getting their jobs done. they don't seem to have any care for the fact that you are taking time out

Overall great experience. Have been coming here for about 6 months and have never had a bad time. The friendly staff helps get you through if you have a hard time. Who doesn't like getting easy money. The monthly giveaways and bonus?s too are really cool.

Decided to donate for a friend because she has epilepsy and can't. Very disappointed to say the least. Easy way to make 120$ a week.. if you go at the right time you can be in and out with in a hour to an hour and a half with $. Helps me with a little extra money and that never hurts being a single mother of two. 40$ for the first donation of the week (Monday- Saturday) and 80$ for the second donation of the week. New donor in-processing takes no less that 3hours with you being 1st in line. Dont fail your vitals either otherwise you have to start over again next time. 5 hour wait with one person in front of me. Ill donate plasma for free with Red Cross. 50 minutes and done. I made an appointment as a new donor and drove 40 minutes, only to be told they don't honor appointments and I would have to wait 3 or 4 hours! I have used donating funds for extra fun money and savings for my worldly travels. All the staff are friendly and have never been rude or inconsiderate ever. It does seem like the wait times are less since the new year, which, is an improvement and I am happy Sunday will be an option soon!

I started donating regularly in February of this year (2022) and I wanted to share how AWESOME the staff are here. Everyone makes sure to make you feel comfortable and are happy to answer any questions or assist you in any way. I absolutely love coming here. I started donating this year and donating has become one of my favorite parts of the day! It's really improved drastically over the years. There's been a large change in staffing recently so I noticed I was processed much quicker today than usual. I did see a lot of familiar faces which is comforting too! Depending on the payouts for the month- It's very worth it to go 2x per week!

I came here hoping to donate as a first time donor. The time for your first time is estimated at 2-4 hours. I sat there for about 2 before they asked me any questions. After they asked me about my tattoos and piercings they sat me back down for about another 2 hours. At the FOUR and a HALF hour mark they called me back and told me i could not donate because i couldn't remember where I got one of my piercings A YEAR AGO even though when they originally asked they said it was fine if i didn't remember. so the

Got turned away due to staffing issues after driving over 30 miles and making an appointment. Was told that appointments are not honored and it is on a first come first serve base. Was also told that it is easier to process return donors than it is first time donors.

The staff are very friendly and informative. The only reason for 2 stars is that the chairs they sit you in have little to no padding. So have fun trying to donate with a bar in your back. Especially if you have a bad one.

Update: The Staff from the ground up to management is amazing, but the fact that Talecris cut the pay scale AND they barley do bonus texts anymore, is pathetic. Pretty unfortunate when you still have to wait over an hour just to go back. As stated, the staff are awesome and do their best, but the company needs to do better ?????

Always kind and great smiles everyday. In the case of problems or reasoning why one would be unable to donate they explain everything very clearly as well as being very empathetic to everyone's situation.

Although it can take a little while to actually get hooked up and start donating, it's worth the wait. The staff are all very very friendly and kind, they make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Carlos always makes my day! Highly recommend:)

After the initial first donation, it becomes a fairly quick and easy process. Screening is always super efficient and everyone is friendly. Noelle is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. She truly cares about the people! This is the only Grifols I will go to because the staff is very nice and easy to talk to.

Honestly this place has saved my a$$ when in a tight spot for funds more times than I care to admit. I donate twice a week, every month. The very first time you go DOES take up to 5 hours but it has since been worth it. new appointment system is working wonderfully, I am usually in and out within 2 hours. Had to be deferred for a day one time because they made a mess-up in their system but they still paid me and let me come back to donate the next day so I made EXTRA that week. FEB 27, 2024 UPDATE I haven't been back in 6 mo and as soon as I walk in the girl at front desk rudely told me check in was across the room, without even looking up from her phone. While processing she is on Zillow trying to look my address up. I asked her why. She said they have to verify my address. I tried to give her my driver's license and she said she has to look it up. Every single time I've been in the staff are always on top of their game, and I'm usually in and out as safely as possible. Facility is also super clean and you can observe staff being serious about keeping everyone safe.

This is a great way to earn extra money and help people who need it. Staff is awesome. It can be a little frustrating the first time because the initial screening process is so long I recommend expecting your first visit to take 4 hours. After that only about 90 min each time. Waited well over an hour just to be told that my asthma is too severe, and "just to play it safe" I need to have my primary care physician sign off that my asthma is only treated prophylacticly for me to donate. How exactly does asthma affect the donation process? I take an inhaler MAYBE twice a day, this shouldn't be such a hoop jumping experience. I will not be returning to this location.

Ive been donating for a few months now and i gotta say the extra money comes in handy. the staff is very nice most the time i get a lady named jessica barber and she is a very kind person takes the time to make you comfortable in anyway she can. Always been a good experience

When signing up if there is a spot to put new donor then give times available would be appreciated. 30 minute drive and gas prices are atrocious.

I have been donating plasma in Salem for five years, I have donated well over 150 times now, which is evident by the scar in my right arm. During those 5 years I have gone through the new donor process with both CSL Plasma on Lancaster and Talecris Plasma at this location multiple times. That being said, I have had about four terrible encounters (not mentioned here) with staff in Talecris, and I despise visiting. Talecris has always consistently

This place is so inconsistent it's wild. Sometimes they are great, hooking you up with deals and other days they are taking $165 away from you with no remorse. You can't expect to stick a needle in a patient and give them no payment, this has never happened to me at a plasma center before this and I've donated here hundreds of times and many other centers. Unprofessionally handled. I've kept going back just because they offer more money than csl. But I keep getting delayed and at this point it seems intent

Been donating there for quite some time since I got my new car. The extra money comes in handy for my outrageous car payments lol. The place has been revamped and waiting time is a lot faster than what it used to be. Staff is friendly and professional. I can't complain about anything there really.
