God, if you don't know how to train people, change the staff already. My veins aren't a ball game. I am a paramedic, I studied for 2 years and I have not seen such unpleasant people and they do not know the simple fact of veins and their consequences if you play with them. Employees with poor hygiene, with each patient the gloves are changed Their clothes as a healthcare worker cannot be stained with another person's blood. It's absurd. all bad I had to treat the patient at home.
Went here today, the experience was horrid. I sat and waited around, finally went back for the ?physical? my heart rate was 1 digit too high, blood pressure was fine. Went and sat, waited 20 minutes to retest, went back in and had my blood pressure checked again by someone else, she didn't place the cuff correctly and my blood pressure read 177/110 who in the right mind thinks that's normal? Of course my heart rate is way high again. All she said to me was ?you failed? and that was that.
Staff cannot stick you correctly the first time- always poke and pull- leaving bruises almost each time I go. Also took me 2 1/2 houses to donate last time and after 2hr 10 min today- we ended it- slow staff and not friendly.
Went here today. They let me sit there for a very long time then took me back for a screening. She had me get out of my wheelchair, turn around and try to stand up to just tell me I can't donate because I'm in a wheelchair. Mind you I am paralyzed but can stand a little bit from time to time. She said they couldn't get my height. I called and spoke to the manager and was informed by her that they are federally operated and don't have to follow ADA rules.
When it comes to donating plasma they do a great job. But then donating plasma I strongly dislike all the loud talk about drugs and sexual talk. I have had to listen to it for months Employers and customers. Plus they have to talk has loud has they can. It's like a bar at midnight.
1st donation lady about destroyed my arm then had to get stuck again in other arm couldn't donate on Monday because of interviews I had that day so i rescheduled for Tuesday went got checked out said I couldn't donate till tmmrw when bruising in my right arm was completely gone so I came back this wensday when it was gone got checked out said my blood pressure was high for me to wait I waited then they checked again said I was ok they did plasma test guy said something was a little off but it should be ok I
This company needs a total make over in how they operate! BioLife should be their ?go to? company for suggestions! If BioLife was in Sioux Falls, SD, I would definitely choose them over this center! Why? Poor vibes from employees! Slow paced efforts. Poor internet signaling - even on their provided wi-fi! One TV for the whole room & it is off. App doesn't show real time openings; so, if someone cancels, the slot doesn't show up as being selectable/open. Most disturbing is the photo attached! Check out all t
I have been donating plasma for over a year now and appreciate the kindness I receive from everyone that works there. Like most places you will have short wait times and longer wait times but the staff are always fun to chat with and Jason has done a great job with all the improvements made to better serve the donors and is always going above and beyond to help everyone feel valued.
I've donated lots of times (20ish times now) and things just seem to be getting worse. I went in today and the lady at the front tells me I'm all set after checking in. I wait two hours and I finally ask a new woman at the desk what the hold up is. She tells me that I'm on the list, but then five minutes later asks me for more details and tells me I didn't actually get checked in - and what's worse is she says so rudely and seems to blame me for not checking myself in even though the first Lady at the count
Staff members at Grifols in Sioux Falls are great people. They're awesome, really. They make the donation experience smooth and enjoyable. We help people by donating plasma and then we get paid. And the staff members make my day when I come in. That's a win in my books. Thank you. The Grifols employees deserve raises for doing what they do, in my opinion!
Jessica doesn't like to pay for her door dash - free food. Guess they don't pay employees enough.
I absolutely Love coming to Telecris Sioux falls. The whole Team of workers are friendly and does their job very well. And none of them are ugly. Everyone there makes my visit to donate fun and gives me summat to look forward to again and again. I love this place
Everyone is super friendly and make sure that I'm comfortable during the process. They try to make it as painless as possible and are always ready incase I need anything or if there is a reaction. I've been coming here since 2021 and have a great experience every time.
Took over 2 hours just to get paperwork and physical completed. Unorganized staff. Then when I get assigned to a chair to start donating the nurse that was assigned to me was distracted and was having something going on with another employee and she blew my first vein and then on the second arm in the middle of donation that blew too and Now I have two unbelievably huge bruise marks on my arms which I am not happy about because I work in customer service and my uniform for work is a short sleeve shirt so al
The easiest money I've ever made. $100 each donations of plasma. No delivering no shopping . Just sit back relax and collect dollars at the end of your donation. The best part is it's life saving.
Never pay out bonuses, wait times are ridiculously long & employees are lazy. Employees argue over breaks & it messes up efficiency and you as a donor as stuck waiting to be disconnected
Have donated around 40 times here. After the last time I won't be returning. Had an appointment checked in sat around for an hour and half finally when I talk to the lady at the front counter I get attitude then sat there another half hour before I decided I'm done with it.
Donating plasma can seem scary for some, especially being around needles. But with this particular group of people they make you feel comfortable they make you laugh and at the same time you are saving lives. Also you put a little bit of money in your pocket. It is a great place to be
This building is so gross and small and the donor next to me smelled so bad and kept hitting my arm with a needle in it trying to get into their chair! Make it less obvious you don't view us as people and you just want to pack is in like cattle and farm us for our blood. Do appointments matter or not? What's the point of making me use your janky app to set up an appointment when walk in joe schmo can just waltz in ahead of me and make me wait an extra 30-40 minutes for my scheduled appointment? I wish CSL h
They are all so friendly and do awesome at their jobs (even with hard to find veins people like myself). It's such a great thing to do to help others in need while makin some money for urself! I highly recommend giving it a shot!! It's an easy money maker!!
Izzi is great and very knowledgeable about the entire donation process. I love donating to help others and have a little extra $$$$, it's nice to be able to do so in an enjoyable atmosphere!
Terrible staff at this location. Not only did it take over 30 minutes for me to be taken off my plasma machine once it finished, but the staff who took my blood stuck me way too hard. When I voiced about how painful it was & that I have never felt that much pain from a poke, their response was ?There's no need to cry about it?. Incredibly unprofessional & unwelcoming environment. And before I get your automated response along the lines of ?Thank you for saving lifes & donating with us? save it. Never coming
I started donating here in 2018 and at first it was a great, quick way to make extra money each month while also feeling good about doing something for sick people. However, over the last 2 years or so the experience has gone downhill. You now make only about 1/2 to 2/3 the amount you used to be able to make each month, despite significantly longer wait times due to them no longer offering appointments. We were told over a year ago to download an app so they could start doing appointments again and they STI
I luv, luv, l Iuv the scheduling system. Never spend more than 1-1.5 hrs tops now! They also do an amazing job day in and day out. Some no matter what they themselves are going thru. We may not say it enuf. But Thank you!! All!!!
A fun, friendly place to be. Happy people work here. Love my twice a week visits. Thank you all for you acts of kindness and allowing us donors to come give plasma.
Bad Experience. They break HIPAA here. Discrimination and racist among this place.
I regret EVER coming here. I "checked in", waited an hour, went to the desk to see where we were at and they said the guy who just left didn't even start the process. This was an hour after my scheduled time, and there was still someone ahead of me who had been waiting 1.5 hours. I tried to go to the Brookings location and they deferred me and so I couldn't even get checked in. You can tell the staff is burned out and doesn't care, unprofessional, and honestly just wastes your time. I'm never going to try
There is a reason they need to be taking appointments. I walked in #5 in que so I'm thinking it's going to be fast? nope there is only 1 nurse doing screenings. Been sitting here for 15 mins and still no extra help has been gotten with screening. Taking appointments would ensure for y?all to be prepared in case of short self also.. please start getting working on taking appointments. I heist coming here sometimes due to long unnecessary wait times & also turning people away that took time to come here and h
My experience has been good. I'd give 5 stars if I didn't have listen to the constant yapping from other donors sharing their personal business with everyone in earshot.
Overall, I have had really good experiences with donating here :) The staff are nice and they follow procedures to ensure donor safety. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is the wait times you can experience. I have been here for before they had appointments, when they switched to appointments, and now that they have gone back to no appointments. I usually prefer appointments just to help with wait time, but so far they haven't been as bad as they were before. Again, this is the only thing
Most of the staff are great, but their process of getting you in and out is not efficient and you're often there for an hour and a half or more. It usually takes me about 40 minutes to actually donate from start to finish but I'm often there about an hour and a half. I've donated other placed and their process for screening and getting you hooked up is so much better than Talecris'. If they improved this I would be more satisfied.
Great experience at the Sioux Falls center. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, will explain the process thoroughly, they have good incentives, and a nice and easy way to help thousands of people that need life-saving medicine!
I have had a wonderful experience! The staff is Awesome and very helpful, great attitudes and all around a great bunch of people! God bless.
My experience ummmmm...l know that when I come to Telecris good day for me or bad from life's situations I always feel a thousand times better when I leave not only am I saving a life its also the staff here that's always so helpful ,warm and cheerful , knowledgeable @phlebotomy I have no fear of any of the staffs ability. Things flow so well here even in the mist of changes and to top it all off your greeted and treated warmly from the time you walk thru the door Hip Hip Haraeee Hero's
I hate to give bad review but I'm losing my patience. First time donation wasn't a pleasant experience. I did arrive early and seen a couple people go in. So I thought they might have opened the doors early. I went to the door and one of the staff told me they were not quite open yet , so to wait in my vehicle. Not a problem. Less than two minutes later she open the door. I didn't feel like they were the friendliest. I research everything I do so I went through the questions and reading fast , that seemed t
I think the people at Talecris are very sweet and friendly. When I first came in they did a great job at explaining the process to help calm my nerves. That was over two years ago, and I haven't looked back since! The only thing I would recommend I suppose is the screening process (meaning the staff determine if we are eligible to donate that day) there have been times where other people and I are waiting 45 minutes to screen, because there are 3 new donors that take the attention. Don't get me wrong, I lov
The people are friendly and pleasant, and it's nice to make some cash while helping others. My only wish is that there would be more staffing. Heads up to newbies, plan at least 2 full hours for every donation (even of the donating part takes less than an hour). You'll do a lot of waiting.
I donated this Tuesday and Shannon stuck me and I didn't feel the needle go in. Great job Shannon! It is my time to read or visit with the donors on the level. I'm so glad that the company let's the employees donate. The wait time could improve but I also know everyone there does the best they can and the staff work hard.
Long waits jus to get screened to see if you can even donate. My last visit I watched 3 people get called ahead of me even though I'd come in before them. And they tried to tell my I was last on the list before I had to explain that I'd come in before them and been waiting. Then they figured out there was a mess up. It was not that busy. It's always a waiting game. *update I just happened to have my file put on hold to have a nurse look and see if I can continue to donate after this review was put up. You
Always a nice and pleasant time! The employees always make it better and make you want to come back. Amanda was great! Super easy and nice to talk to, always has a great attitude every and any time I come in. Jason is also great! Ashley has to be one of my favorites! She's always so nice and making jokes with everyone also was one of my favorite people to stick me ?? I can name more of my favorites and why but I think that gives a good idea of how great the staff is! I do want to give a shout out to Cory fo
Donating at Talecris in Sioux Falls is very easy and enjoyable. The staff at this center are incredible! They are always polite and helpful. The thing I appreciate most though is that staff are friendly and willing to get to know their clients. Staff are consistently smiling and laughing with clients, which makes the entire process more rewarding!
I have been donating for quite some time now, and it is a rewarding and fairly easy process! The employees are always pleasant and willing to answer any questions you might have. The only reason for 4 stars is the wait times can get quite long, depending on when you go. Overall, I would recommend!
Telecris is Sioux Falls is amazing!! Each time I go the nurses and staff are great. Nurse Jessica is awesome and made my first experience great. She is always so sweet and calls me by name! What great service. They are quick and efficient. A great way to help others and make some extra cash for Christmas!
I've always had a good experience. Everyone is very kind and I love the conversations we have. I actually miss donating when I take breaks because of the people I get to interact with. It's amazing to know I am benefiting others through my donations. Also there is the bonus of some extra money which adds up fast.
Because of the smart people who dedicate there time and life to this stressful job, the staff here noticed something abnormal and sent me to the doctor as advice and it was the right thing to do I'm found to be diabetic. Thank you everyone!!!!!!!
IF you're a nomad, as I am, don't bother wasting your time trying to donate plasma. It's a shame they don't want my GOOD plasma. I don't do drugs, I'm not a criminal, I'm very healthy, but just because I live as a nomad, they don't want my plasma. - I've donated a LOT over many years, so I've done my part to help people who need plasma. I guess my donation days are over. Nothing against the staff here, but the company, in my opinion, should be flexible with whom they accept. They lost a perfectly healthy
I have been very happy with my experience at this facility. The staff knows me on a first name basis after 16 visits. There are several of the girls that I can strike up a fun conversation with each time. I use each arm every other visit to keep the bruising down. Also eating properly keeps me feeling well before and after donation. I feel great about donating to help others in different ways but at this time particularly COVID-19.
The best part is that your helping others! They have sent me text bonus coupons on my phone and have not honored them. In the 2 yrs that i been going i have had at least 3 complete blood losses this last one could have been avoidable had the tech listened to me and had someone helped her when she asked them. I feel that they might do better if they got a manager with more customer service skills and don't come across as being better then and rude.
Always a pleasant experience when I walk until I leave. A judge -free zone. Everyone is greeted when walking through the doors. Friendly staff. Nurses and Phlebotomy are great at there job, NEVER had a bad experience or seen anyone else with a bad experience either. I like knowing I'm helping others with my donation.
Staff was efficient and kind. I was never waiting longer than 5 minutes to do any one thing. I was with Jason K. who was very personable and professional, and made things go very smoothly. Staff really try to move things along in a quick manner, which depending on how you view that could be either a positive or a negative. I was quite alright with the hurried nature of things, as they didn't leave anything out, and were very thorough in their screening process. First time donors have about 1.5 hours of scre
I have to say that consistent professionalism is something I enjoy about the place. The staff on the donating floor are EXTREMELY patient with me and I appreciate that. The staff is great and friendly and treat you like a person not just "another donor". I do have some suggestions though. I think the bonuses should be better (the extra 10.00 on certain donations). and they should put the pay on prepaid mastercards as well. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 was the wait times are to long. There shou
I give Talecris in Sioux Falls ? 4!! The staff was very kind, thorough and helpful. It was my first time and there was a couple of issues with getting the needle in my arm, but the technician Kaitlyn was so great!! I would only suggest letting patients know before hand how cold it may be.
The staff are nice, but nobody knows up from down here. They are never on the same page- I have wasted so much time there & then getting sent away. My iron kept reading low on their screening process, so I went to my PCP and had it checked and it was fine! They should have a few questions before you even bother with the 68 questions on the kiosk. They need to get their staff all updated and on the same page.
Thanks to Nurse Lori T, my very first experience in donating my plasma was extremely pleasant. She was quick and efficient yet was still able to remain personable during my 2.5-3 hour first visit. I am a questioner, so when I asked her questions about the process, she explained her answers very clearly. I never had to sit longer than just a few minutes before she found me and moved me onto another part of the screening process. The other nurse who set me up in my donor chair, was just as friendly and effic
A lot of bad reviews. Crazy! I had an awesome experience. I been donating for many, many years here and in a different state. It took me 3 hours total to go thru the whole thing since I just started donating again. When I was living in California it took all day to go thru the whole process like literally 6 to 7 hours. So I'm grateful that it didn't took that long here. Love the staff. Thank you for being awesome!! ????
I have a great time every time I come to donate. Everybody is always quick & professional. Wendy & Katelyn are so good at sticking, it's virtually painless. They're sticking prodigies. Wendy also has the same name as my mom, which is cool. Ashley laughs at my jokes & is funny herself. Overall 10/10 would recommend
I must say the staff is very courtious and prompt, however I am a bit frustrated because I was not accepted due to a certain medication I am prescribed. The issue is not why I was turned away I do understand the regulations behind it and the safety of others is priority but I researched it several times and also called in advance to the clinic and was told as long as it has been more than 1 year on the medicine that I was good to go. All the researched sites also stated that the medication was acceptable an
I love knowing that my donation helps make medication that can save lives! It doesn't hurt to get a little compensation, too! The staff is very friendly, professional, and make the experience really comfortable. Shout out to Ryan for always doing a great job of making my donation fun and easy!
When i called to see how long it would take to donate for the first time they said 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I got there at 9am & finally at 12:45 i was taken up to actually start the donation! I kept asking why it was taking so long for the donation. He said everything was fine & that it takes longer for some people. After another employee came over to check my machine because it kept beeping discovering there was a blood clot in my tubing so i never got my blood back & was told i cant donate again for 55 days. It
This place is nothing short of friendly! The wait can be long at times depending on the times you tend to go; however, they try their absolute best to make the time go quickly. The compensation is a great gesture but the matter is you get to save someone?s life in a span of a couple hours or even a couple minutes. The precautions of COVID are great and they make sure everyone is of the highest safety! Seats are cleaned, masks are worn, gloves are switched, & everything is wiped down after being used.
My experience went like this: I arrived for my first time donation appointment at 1:30 and was pointed to a hallway to go wash my hands. Expecting to see a sink, I was instead faced with a long hallway with several open doors. So I just wandered around until I found the bathroom. I was then directed to a desk to sign in. Not being able to figure out the sign in process, I asked for help. I was then asked for my driver's license and Social security card and told they would be keeping them until I got called.
Staff is horribly untrained and rude. They surely do not value anyone's time! They treat you more like an inconvenience than grateful for the donation. Easier ways to make a little extra money than donating at this facility! Would definitely NOT recommend to anyone!
Now that it's under new management everything changes weekly and they have monthly "bonuses" that no one can obtain as well as the buddy bonus. I've referred 3 friends and not once have I gotten paid for it. Smh. If you're looking for extra money for gas, groceries or to get caught up on a bill their new donor fees are good but after that it's really not worth wasting your time! Staff on the other hand are awesome ?? I appreciate their efforts and they're all such good people. ??
Well I've been coming to the center for about five or six years now. Love the staff here. Everyone is always ready to help. Great place to be able to help others in need. Also you can earn some extra cash for yourself. So come check it out!!
I donated at the Talecris center for the first time today. Was a great experience! Lori T. the RN was very helpful and thorough in explaining the procedure. Miles, the phlebotomist, did a great job poking me. I hardly felt any pain from the stick and Poni, the other tech was very helpful in the final stages of my donation process. Overall, the process was very quick and easy. I 100% recommend donating at this place if you are looking to save lives and make some extra money.
It's a bummer this is the only place to donate in Sioux Falls, I enjoy donating plasma and had a great experience with Biolife Centers in the Twin Cities but I have not experienced that here. It's very unorganized, they say to expect 1 hour for the average donation after set up but you spend 45 minutes waiting in the waiting room before they even start your appointment which then takes 1 hour. Donating plasma is something I wish more people did but it's hard to want to come here myself let alone recommend i
After years of donating off and on, management finally got organized, and I was in and out with what I felt was a pretty smooth process. Then, last week something changed, and I am seriously thinking I can't do this anymore. The crew is great; they try very hard, even with the constant stress of low staffing and never ending procedural changes. So, last week there was someone there from the corporate office, with apparently too much time on their hands, and totally screwed up what had FINALLY became a much
I've been going here since last august so almost a year now!! The employees here know be by name & it's a good feeling to be recognized! The process is super easy & fast. Giving plasma doesn't only give you free money, but helps saves lives of those in need! Definitely check this place out, you won't regret it! ??
I usually love this place but if you have 4 people scheduled you should have 4 available for screening. I take time to do this before work and having to wait 20 minutes to be screened is riduculous. I scheduled the time I did for a reason. This was first thing in the morning when it's not busy literally the second slot of the day. Also I was just chastised kinda rudely for accidentally hitting a wrong button on the kiosk. Sometimes people make mistakes it doesn't mean we aren't credible.
I've had mostly good experiences at Talecris in Sioux Falls. It's an easy way to do something good and have some extra money. The staff is so kind!
I alway receive a warm welcome everytime i go donate. The nurses and admins go out of their way to ensure our time spent donating plasma is swift and painless as possible. P.S. The money is well worth your time and effort....besides you get to play a role in saving lives...all the more reason to head up to talecris today and donate. Thanks, Talecris, for all that you do....Keep up the the hard work and thanks to all the staff for being so awesome??????.
This is a great place to go to donate. The whole staff is incredibly kind, the payouts are awesome, and they're usually playing something super entertaining on TV if you need it. I'm grateful to have Talecris in my life and I'd check this place out if I were you.
Great staff! They make the experience very enjoyable.
The staff is amazing! Everytime i donate it is a quick and super pleasant experience. If looking to start donating i would not be worried as you'll be in great hands and taken care of properly!
I enjoy coming and donating at Talecris plasma in Sioux Falls. Soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile and it continues until you walk out the back door. The whole staff is professional at what they do and care about their donors. I highly recommend coming to donate at this location.
It seems we need better treatment of employees from what I am hearing! They also need more hands on deck vs waiting an hour to just get seen and then another hour to donate! At this point donating turns into a time crunch and is no fun!
Started because the 100 dollars for your first 4 trips is a really good deal to get some extra money and kept going after that because it feels good to know you are helping others in need.
This place is top notch! You are greeted by friendly people as soon as you walk in the door. The staff is very good at explaining the procedure and are willing to answer questions. Not only am I making a few $$ I am also helping save lives. Check this place out. It's worth the couple hours of your time????
I have been a donor here since 2016 and the staff is simply amazing! From Grant, Susan & Twila, to my favorite phlebotomist "Michelle", they all know and address me by my first name, making each experience welcoming and enjoyable!
The people are amazing. My appointment usually goes smooth. This place is great!
Jason K was a great person to work with. But as soon as I went to start donation. The people who stick ya didn't do so well. First time there and they couldn't get the needles in right.
Today I had an outstanding experience with staff flow was constant, the screening process smooth and above all CORY. He made the experience memorable he was very gentle I felt no pain from the needle and he was very friendly. Outstanding!!!! :)
I donate twice a week and have been doing so at the Sioux Falls location for a few years now. The staff is always very friendly and I always have a positive experience when I donate! Thanks Talecris!
The staff is great. I like the new appointment system they've come up with. It seems to really cut down on the waiting time. I've never had a problem and feel very comfortable with their process.
Whenever I call for questions nobody ever answers or returns voicemails. There are frequent technical issues with the donorhub app as well. When I came in for my first donation the building was at max capacity with 30 people in the lobby. Some people not wearing masks. No social distancing. The technician that hooked me up to the machine did not say a single word to me. I hope the new donor experience improves so more people can do it! I will continue to go as I am a convalesent donor and people really need
They have the worst customer service. The wait is way too long. My first appt was 4 hours whereas at biolife in sioux city it was 1. Every other visit has taken about 1 and a half hours. Biolife takes 30 min. Some of the employees really creep me out but then again some are really nice. Some of the nurses do not seem to know the proper way to put a needle in my arm. More than once they have really messed up, causing damage to my vien, causing me to pass out, and causing my arm to hurt for weeks. This should
All smiles and warm, friendly people. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and the process is always as quick as they can make it. It usually brightens my day when i stop in, so thank you all!!
Every time since my first donation they have my pulse so high as well as my blood pressure but I leave and it's normal. Staff is rude and they hate their jobs. I loved the aspect of helping others and making some extra cash but I will never go back
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
