Grifols Talecris Plasma Donation Center Yuma, AZ

I have loved donating here since 2019 and will continue to donate until I am no longer able to. This place has helped me many times pay my bills and are just a great place in general. I hope in the future they can accomodate future military donaters who come to donate but struggle to do so.

Poorly managed and exceptionally slow. They want you to make an appointment but they do not actually honor the appointment times. Employees range from fresh out of high school and clueless but very friendly to experienced but medium-rude.

Most staff are friendly, sometimes it seems like they're ?too many chiefs not enough Indians?, very clean and organized?expect to wait over half hour on weekends.

Wonderful service wonderful ppl but clearly understaffed. If I'm a regular I shouldn't be there for a whole process of like 4hours. Especially if I'm making an appointment or what's the whole point of appointments if we are not being prioritized. I should be able to check in if I'm prepared to scan go ahead and scan and wait to get screened. Lately that's been taking at least an hour to yet wait in the back for someone to be available to get poked and start the machine usually another 20 to 30 minutes at ti

I think they are having some staffing issues. They don't seem to have anyone to answer the phone anymore. They pride themselves on donor care, but then don't bother to answer the phone and it's a 24 mile round trip to go in person to ask about testing results.

Extremely in professional staff, witnessed them pricking people?s fingers with gloves on, not changing gloves or washing hands before doing the same to next patient . I went into Grifols today as a first time donor, I wasn't successful due to my pulse being too high. Everyone that I met/worked with during my time at the center were professional and friendly. The building was also very clean. Ultimately I decided that donating plasma probably isn't right for me. I spent a lot of time preparing for the donation such as drinking a ton of water, drinking body armor, and eating super clean. I also was sedentary for the past two days. I had the worst visit today. What's the point of appts when you stick people that got here first, last. Made me wait 20 plus mins in the back while the workers ignored us all. They kept seating people and doing there sticks first. I always get skipped over here and it's really getting on my nerves. When you try to say anything they just blow you off. This place used to be quick and easy. 1 hour to hour fifteen. But not anymore, my last appointment took 3 hours to complete. 50 min in the waiting room, 20 min waiting for a spot and then I sat in the chair for another 25-30 min before I started and then sat for 20 min waiting to get it removed. The employees talk which isn't a bad thing but they always say there short handed and some even say they take extra long lunches. And from other reviews I don't think this will get fixed any time soon

I've been donating regularly here for over a year and they recently hired a bunch of new people and the close training they are getting is great! Leslie guided the new guy working on me so well! The teamwork and leadership she showed was awesome!

If you come here to donate Follow these rules Be hydrated and eat well prior to donating. Don't come to the center sick. Be nice to the staff they will be nice to you. Do not harass the staff and do what they tell you to do. Not everyone qualifies to donate if you do not qualify do not get angry with the staff. Don't follow these rules expect to have a bad time donating plasma.

The staff are great. I believe the problems this place has are management related. Until recently, I was able to make an appointment and be in the back within 15 minutes of my appointment. Now it's not even close to that. As I'm typing this I'm sitting in a donation bed and still haven't begun the donation process. My appointment time was 90 minutes ago. The staff ive never taken issue with, they always do their best to fit me in even when I'm a new patient and they help the process greatly (they even let me run home to grab vital documents without taking me out of line. I love Talecris/ Grifols. The staff is wonderful, always polite. Especially Vanessa. She has a great bedside manner ,goes above and beyond, And ALWAYS has a smile on her face. It would be 5 stars as most of the staff is great, very friendly and professional, but the big guy that regularly checks people in has a tendency to allow friends to skip ahead in the check in process and then when something is said he gets rude and defensive. 3 different times he has allowed people to skip the line for vitals checks and once he even allowed a guy to check in his wife who was 3 people behind him in line. As everyone has stated, the staff is polite and courteous. Even when they accidentally leave you hooked up for an extra 25 mins while they unhook people who finished 5-10 mins after you. You better make an appointment too, so you can get there 10 mins before and then not scan in for 15-20 mins after the appointment window, so they can scam the higher ups that they profess people quickly and efficiently here, when that is the complete F-ing opposite of what happens here. I've been donating off and on for over 4 years, for the most part they are friendly, lately it seems they are just more worried about the numbers. Staff has been distant and cold. They have personal conversations with each other rather than focusing on donors vitals. There has been a couple occasions they almost forgot the protective cover for the thermometer because there too busy chatting it up! Talecris goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and give you great customer service. It is an incredibly welcoming and clean environment and a great way to help people while getting some cash on the side. I've always had great experiences with these guys. I'm a hard stick on occasion but the staff was always caring enough to take their time and do the job right. The one time I had an issue I was approached by a Mrs Tobin, one of the administrators. She listened to my concern, addressed it right away and made me feel more than comfortable about coming back. I won't go to another plasma center.

Staff is amazingly friendly and professional. Hard to choose one tech but my two favorite ladies is Melissa G and Marlene R they both possess leadership and great people skills! I honestly think the HR people should buy lunch for all the staff they all rock!!

This place went from good to bad. Now you have to have an appointment to donate? The people still walk around doing nothing, one nurse is rude. We'll grifols doesn't need my donations. Update, it is now 8/11/23 and this place sucks worse than ever, I mean why make an appointment if everyone can just walk in and go ahead of you while you wait hours after your appointment? Professional, polite staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Wait times are pretty reasonable for the volume of people that roll through there. That should even improve, as they are expanding. Expect to be there for awhile on your first visit, as there is a medical screening process necessary prior to donation. I dig that I am helping people through my donation, but also get reimbursed for my time.

I am a returning donor. Everything was flowing so good until they decided to flip Everything around. Before you would go straight to the kiosk and ever since they went back 2 signing in the wait is totally absurd. A 1 hours wait turned into an almost 2 1/2 hour wait ridiculous. I'm really disappointed in this place as a father of two that donate here. In order to share costs, my two children ( one 18, one 23) go here to donate. Today was my youngest second donation but he couldn't donate because he needed a current letter of his residence. No problem. My oldest went in and donated. The service is the best around and even when its busy the team here goes out of their way to make your time there a great one. Never a dull moment with their team they talk to everyone and always have something on the tv to watch. Polite and courteous staff. What I didn't like is that when it comes to troubles with the machines, you can only watch them gossiping, telling jokes and laughing. Basically doing every funny thing instead of helping you.

Today however when I went in I had not passed a protein test and instead of telling me when I got there they left me sit for 45 minutes while they called people that came in after me. Employee jammed the tip of the needle into my vein, not bothering to put it all the way in, because he was far too busy talking to other people to be bothered to do his job. Due to this, the blood was not put back into my vein, instead, it burst my vein, causing minor internal bleeding. They have a friendly and courteous staff. The new donor physical takes several hours but they keep you informed throughout the whole process. They make an effort to remember repeat donors and my donations usually take about an hour.

The first time I came here it took a while but that is expected with all the screening they have to do. Once I got into the donation are the staff were very nice and they all answered any questions I had. My arms weren't sore I was completely fine and its free money what the heck.

I went in to donate for the first time, they ask you to be well hydrated but their drink machine is broken. I answered a million questions without a sip of water or anything to eat for almost 3 hours. The guy sliced my finger without telling me he was going to do that. This Talecris is a pretty cleanly and chill environment. They got TVs playing and Wi-Fi to enjoy your visit. The staff is pretty friendly and inviting. Melissa godoy is an example of a happy, cheerful and knowledgeable staff member. Among others whom make the process a breeze.

Donating here once or twice a week wasn't a bad gig; you get compensated for your plasma while at the same time someone who really needs it now has access to it. On your first visit they give you a free checkup, plus the kiosk used at every visit is pretty streamlined. They have WIFI. You just have to put up with wait times and the like. My advice is to arrive early as possible or avoid the rush hours (if you can), bring a blanket because it does get cold during the process, and of course make sure your soc

I would give them a five star because for the most part everything is pretty clean inside the building except one important room in that building, the BATHROOM!!! I hate the sinks. My hands do not ever feel clean after washing my hands when I have to press down the knob with one hand the whole time otherwise it automatically turns off the water. Then I have to try to wash one hand by itself which feels awkward. Then I have to use that one washed hand to hold down the knob again for the water to stay on and

This place is a joke. The waiting room stinks, they take in druggies, they don't tell you anything when you walk in, the staff half the time are just standing around. I was denied donating because I'm 5 lbs under weight, but guess what they don't tell any one how much you must weigh to donate. I waited there 3 and a half hours for them to turn me away.

talecris was a very professional and customer service friendly every time Iv been into the establishment !!! Everytime I go I see the prettiest girls. They work really fast which is scary because im afraid they're gonna bump me while the needles in or stick me wrong. The trainees are the ones that stick and pull the worst. Ouch! The veteran employees are the best. They have tv and Cable and wifi. Very clean, very proficient, very fast

OK, I fully understand the restrictions and ALL of the other requirements. But the overly astringent requirements of new donors .... ridiculous ! This requirement of bringing recent mail is absurd since the lovely postal system cannot seem to postmark mail very well. It wasn't perfect but IT WAS LEGIBLE. Learn to read people ! It's OK though, because I give up. It just isn't worth it.
