They are extremely slow and understaffed. The supervisors don't seem to want to help at all! I have been waiting for 45 minutes to even get started! There are others have been waiting longer! There is this young girl there who is very rude and disrespectful! I asked her to do something and she straight up ignored me! This spot is very unprofessional! I would definitely recommend CSL over this place for sure!!
I told them I was a new donor. they stated that there were to donors how were there that wasn't new ahead of me, And to have a seat. I sat down the nurse come from just give a physical just as 2 other new donors walk in one turn around because and I'd the other they just start helping her setup her profile. Meanwhile I'm just sitting there and while I see 5 other employees just standing there on their phones. So I just left I never felt ignored/invisible at business until now.
Grisfols is such a nice facility! The staff is super kind and the waiting and donating areas are so clean. I have had a positive experience every time I have donated! Shout out to Sam, April, and Savannah at the Opelika center for being awesome staff members! Highly recommend donating here!
My experience here has been AMAZING. The Staff is absolutely the BEST. I look forward to donating because it is for a good cause but also to get to see such great people that have really become dear friends. Qua Johnson, my heart, Amanda and Rachel, they are just too sweet, then Ms Dawn, I call her Vogue, she looks like she should be on a Vogue magazine. To Mr Heath, I call Steve Wilkos, didn't realize her was over everyone, well Mr Heath...you have the BEST employees EVER. SO, Rachel and Amada....d
I absolutely LOVE how much the Staff there is always so kind, caring and just make you feel like family. Qua Johnson, DeAnn Johnson, Katrina CMS , Rachel,Amanda, Cortez, Co Co, LA Tisha, Shonda, Sam and Asst Manager Ms Dawn, you all are my heart, any names I left out I apologize, I love yall too.
I started donating here when Covid hit. The energy that the staff in here have is always so positive and caring and they always have a smile on their face. Just to know that donating your time can actually help someone is the most generous thing a person can do. Say hey to Savannah when you go in. She's my favorite!!
I've been donating here for a while now and it only gets better. I enjoy the staff every visit and have a blast in the back. Tiffany is super helpful and sweet, she's very patient with a old fella and this technology!
Love this center better than the one in Phenix City. The customer service is awesome and they are quick about getting you in and out. Ask for Tiffany at the front desk, she is very customer service friendly and helpful.
Been coming here for several months now and nothing has changed. Everyone here is professionals at their jobs... Great work
A wonderful place to relax lol. The front staff is exceptional very welcoming and some of the back staff is very friendly and caring makes u feel comfortable shout out to Tiffany, Amanda, Rachel ,Savanah, Kahn, and the entire check in staff....
This was my first time attending this location. Everyone was nice and the process was smooth (first time donors will be a little lengthy on the first day). It didn't take long at all for me to donate. I recommend this company based on how I was treated and how smoothly everything went. You can expect your very first visit to be at least 2-2.5 hours.
This place is great and Mrs. Khan is just the bees knees. Wait time is short, friend staff and well maintained. Plus they have snacks now and then ????
I love coming here! Everyone is friendly and professional. Samantha and Amanda really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
The staff is awesome, Tiffany is so helpful and sweet!
Out of all the plasma centers that I have been to this is the one that I prefer and also believe is the best the atmosphere is top notch but above all besides the life saving that this place provides by the donation process the people are some of the best people that I have had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with and a special shout out to my Sam Bean I Love You you are creme of the crop
Iyana is so professional and efficient when she checks my vitals to make sure it is safe for me to donate plasma. I'm appreciate the extra care and concern to make donors feel valued. Thank you for hiring valuable techs, phlebotomists, and nurses in Opelika! It is appreciated! Barbie
I have had a great experience with y'all. The staff is very polite and they are very helpful with anything you need or have questions about.
The Opelika Grifols is the best! Everyone there is extremely caring they check in on you consistently to make sure you are ok and don't need anything I definitely recommend 10/10!
Savannah, Samantha, and Doreen are amongst some of my top favorites there! They make sure that you're taken care of, and always greet you with a smile.
All of the staff are incredibly polite, welcoming, and accommodating, especially the receptionist Savannah who has always been a great help.
Tiffany is the best at grifols plamas center in Opelika she always have warm smile on her face and always make sure you feel welcome when you walk through the doors?
I've been donating here and the staff is great there always patient and great at sticking me and they always make me feel welcomed. I love sam she's great at sticking me ??
I've been donating here for a few months and the staff is so nice. They move pretty fast and I've never had to be there long.
Everyone here is so nice and patient great place very clean and they never have me waiting of course I give it 5+ stars great all the way around
Savannah was very friendly at the front desk today, there's always a great staff that create a great atmosphere!
I really enjoy this location. I like that it has plenty of parking and the area is clean and well lit. The interior is neat, clean and organized. Staff is friendly, professional, fast and efficient. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone interested in donating plasma.
I thought CSL was bad for donating plasma. This center makes CSL look like a plasma donating paradise. If they're busy, they'll defer you for any little thing, absolutely unprofessional and I've just quit trying to donate plasma all together. This center is awful and, CSL is also just as awful, but these are the only two options for the Auburn Opelika area. Just go deal with the rude folks at CSL. Had one of the workers let the needle fall out of my arm and ruin my clothes once too. Did they offer to pay f
It's a great place to come and Ms. Tiffany is so nice she make every visit amazing .
If you're nervous about getting stuck I would recommend April, Ms. Amanda, or Sam but the staff as a whole is very helpful and knowledgeable
I'm not even gone I love it there the staff amazing specially Ms Tiffany I love that lady I wouldn't change my plasma place for nothing .
Super kind & attentive staff. I've always enjoyed donating with them!
I manage and donate here. We have the best staff and process around. Come see our team!
Staff is excellent and friendly ger you in and our quickly shout out to Savannah.
I always feel welcomed here. Plasma donation saves lives and I'm happy to be apart of this. The staff is nice and informative.
Have been donating here for over a year, my roommate and I always ride down from Lagrange together.to donate. Today when we show up they tell me I can't donate because it's not my day and let my roommate straight into the back. Upon asking at the front desk why all I'm told is " I don't know, it's not your day and it not my problem. " Unless staff is taught better people skills I will not be back.
Very professional always have good energy and vibe when you check in highly recommend if u need quick cash ??
The staff are always so polite and friendly, making sure you're doing well.
I love donating at Grifols. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, especially Savanna.
These people are slow. They judge you. I do RV living and was labeled as unstable living and compared to a person living in a hotel room. I own my RV and it's a helluva lot cleaner than some of the junkies they do allow to donate. No worries I will not be back.
Good clean facility Rachel and shonda are the best kind of people to meet. I think donors should receive more perks
Very unprofessional. Every one moves very slow. False advertisement. Do NOT RECOMMEND. The one in Auburn is WAYYY more professional and nice. You're welcome for the feedback! Maybe read what was said and actually do the work to improve it!
Just my second time, but this place is amazing compared to the one I'm used to. So far, everyone on the staff seems to have good moral & super great attitudes. I'm very pleased.
This is a great place. I like it better than Auburn. They let u use both arms here that way if they stick u and have to stick u again for whatever reason if you happen to get a bruise from them sticking you the next time you can use your other arm. And that's the problem I had in Auburn they were messing up and then from there miss up I had to wait a whole months or longer for it to heal right so it is a great place to go there in Opelika Alabama the people there are great and nice and friendly and it's fas
I have been donating for over a year and hadn't had any problems until recently. On the most recent occasions I was able to do all my questions and everything was fine and then when getting to the both was told I wouldn't be able to donate because of a small mark that they caused and that they wouldn't be using my other arm. She found a vein to use but said she wouldn't. How does that make sense? Was not the first issue I had with the same woman.
Place is very friendly. Amanda is friendly as she is sticking me with the needle always putting me at ease ??
First visit takes awhile but after that it goes pretty quick. People are very friendly and great at their job. I switched from Phoenix City due to closeness and I do not regret it one bit.
They play too much and it takes waaay longer than the time frame they give you.... I thought appointments were supposed to make things faster... Well that's a waste of time if you still have to wait 30 minutes to even get a bed
Most friendliest and nicest people you will meet, very fast professional but fast paced.??
I went because my fiancee had given before and it's always good to help people. After what took forever I was told I couldn't give because my temp was 99. The woman that did my evaluation was rude when she said it. Makes me feel like they look to waste people's time. They let people donate to buy drugs and others with heart problems but a person that's never been sick in their life no way. By the way if they say donating takes an hour they are lying to you.
Had to get stuck in my right arm twice because they couldn't get it in the vein, donated half a bottle and then had trouble with the return of my blood. They then tried to stick my left arm which was bruised from a previous donation, I eventually had to tell them to stop because of the pain from them trying to stick the vein.
This place is super clean and all the staff are super nice and friendly! They make you feel very comfortable while going through the donation process and they do everything they can to get you in and out and fast as possible! I love this place. It would be nice if the donor rates were a little higher though... hint hint.....
Real great staff.. Nice environment. They always make Me feel comfortable on my visit every week. I think they are the best and the hardest working staff in the city.. They really do care about their donors..
Savannah is so helpful every time i come in! I love donating here
Tiffany and Savannah and Sam are the best around! I love seeing them when I donate
1st time donor- the ladies were amazing! Kim was especially wonderful but all 3 ladies that helped me after I started feeling bad were awesome
See. I had left a good review of this place but I spoke too soon. Today I was played by you all. It's my second donation of the week and I didn't receive my bonus nor spin the wheel. So if anyone asks I have to tell them the truth. That Grifols WILL play you and do you bad sometimes. You guys really dissapointed me today.
His first donation will be his last. See photos.
Walked in as a lapsed donor on a Sunday afternoon, but they apparently stop taking "new donors" at some specific time or another. This was told to me with the blankest of stares, with no follow up of, I don't know, perhaps an apology on behalf of my obvious inconvenience...? Omg lmao! I stopped coming here in April 2022, and today's attempt at coming back renewed my stance on NEVER returning. Thanks for that! Teach these staff members some customer service ffs!
Savannahs so helpful. I love donating here Samantha is the GOAT??
Savannah is so helpful every time I come in!! Thanks for helping me save lives!!
When I was in a Financial crisis I found out about Talecris Plasma. At first, I was a little nervous about donating plasma, but the employees explained everything to me and the process didn't take that long. I love the fact that if I need a little help financially, I know I can come donate plasma and which really put my mind at ease. Thank you to the Opelika Alabama team!!! What awesome service!!!!
Told me the wrong donor fees and refused to honor. Also, don't try to be a return donor, they don't have any promotions at all! Go to CSL cuz this place is terrible.
Every time I come here they claims they can't never find my vain but I can go every where else I have no problem one lady said her arm tried Im like what they have people working that dont know how to check for vains 17 to 22 needle you should know your job get some CNA up in there they know more.
All the staffs are friendly and helpful. It was always a pleasant visit everytime I came to donate plasma ??
Savannah is so much help. I love the staff here !!
I love this center, I have been a Donor here since the first month the doors opened.
Savanna, DW are always helpful. Wonderful experience every visit
Just awful and ghetto, This was my First time coming to this place and I wasn't there for at least 20 minutes & the workers were talking bad about patients and employees, Then one former employee came in talking about don't bring your man up here cause this "ho" named Selena will sleep with him. Awful and unprofessional.
It is great place to come to donate .The screener Dw is a nice and polite person to be around.
Donated here for a long time and talked a friend into going back to their center after it had been over a year since they had been there to donate and get my referral compensation and they said that the referral program ended at first then said they couldn't honor it because the person had donated plasma before yet they have been honoring everyone else's who had referred someone the same way I did before me smh. Will never donate here again and they will be hearing from my lawyers for false advertisement an
Great place, super friendly staff, Savannah is the best.
Been donating for 5 years. Love the staff, saving lives, and the pay isn't bad either.
I transferred from the Phenix City location and I do not regret it one bit. The workers are very helpful and professional. I love all of the management also!! Keep up the great work Opelika location!!!
It good place to come to respect staffing super Nice
Love me som Mrs. AMANDA ??BUT ALL THE STAFF IS SUPER SWEET
I love coming here! Seeing Savannah and Sam always makes my day!
This is one of the worst establishments I have ever been to the employees treat u terrible I walked in for an appointment I scheduled from 5:45 to 6 and I showed up at 5:56 and they denied seeing me now I've wasted my gas for no reason and then they gonna tell me I have a 5 min grace period when it obviously says on there website they do not close till 6 the employees are lazy I would recommend csl plasma instead of this dump
I have been there already 6 times trying to donate and every single time there is a different problem. On my 4th visit someone told me I had to fax a document from my allergist. I did it. After recieving a call saying that I could donate, I get at the center for the 3nd time at the same day, and they say that I have to wait more 4 days so they doctor can check it. Seriously! What a waste of time! Horrible.
I was yelled at by the temperature taker here a few months ago. She was very rude.Let me say there was no guidelines to stay outside so I didn't know to stay outside. I then transferred to Pheonix City Location and still had problems with the outside distance markers for the lines. There is no designated person to enforce guidelines and the people giving don't know how to follow simple directions so I will not be back to this company as I'm going to CSL Plasma.
Amazing peoples, easy getting along and very very professional and kind
This is the first plasma center I have ever came to and today that stopped due to the Staffing being very unprofessional and rude up front . This place needs new staffing or better training because the two people I spoke with this morning did not know how to speak with people professionally. I will not be returning to this plasma center due to these reasons
I love donating here, the staff is very polite and professional. Also they make the process quick so you can continue with your day
I love coming to this plasma place they make you feel welcome from the time you come in to the time you leave my experience here with Mrs Rachael my first stop she is my class mate an she keeps me up on how to keep. My HTC up an Mrs Theresa is always there to coach I love her shes very pleasant I love all the people that I have came in contact with in the opelika center even the ones in the back from Mrs Salina walking the floor making sure everyone is seen about to Wesley's stick that man got hands of god
Very clean but every time I get near my donation for bonus they say my iron is low! I drive all the way from Lagrange to be turned away. Also, why should after donating many times should I get paid less per donation at the start of each month? Plasma is liquid gold for these centers. They sell the plasma for at minimum $200 a liter! Depending the need they get up to $500 per liter! Donors should get $50 per donation period! And until they do I am DONE! I am all for helping but not so they can just get rich
They are inconsistent. The machines never read my bp nurse always signs off and I go back. This trip once again machine doesnt read it, nurse checks it and sends me back to the machine for 2 more tries and guess what it doesnt read it. So I get turned away. What was the purpose of the nurse then. Also friend referrel doesnt say after they donate twice and then you donate. I've sent 2 ppl and they have donated twice or more but since I couldn't donate today I also dont get my referrel $.
I really enjoy coming here everyone is friendly and cares about the customers I appreciate that so much. I will not go to another plasma center I like this one better although this is the only one I been too but it's nice to feel appreciated
My husband has been 3 times and they have refused him. He completed his screening and physical and passed everything and passed his test. 2nd time he went they told him he needed proof of address they wouldn't take blood sent him home. So he gets home checks the mail and just so happens that he had a letter with our address and his name on it. He goes back that Thursday previous was on tuesday and they won't except the letter as proof of address. Still doesn't take blood and sends him home again. So here it
My husband and I showed up and signed a clipboard and checked new donor. An hour later we were told we needed to sign in on another clipboard for new donors. We filled put some paperwork that included a medication list and then my husband was given an appointment an hour and a half later and mine was 2 hours later. No mention of any medicine disqualifying us to donate. We go eat and come back to wait another 2 hours before being told we did not qualify due to being on Metformin. The nurse was very apologeti
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
