Grifols is way overbooking people for the staff on hand. I made an 8:00 appointment because I was told it would be less busy, but when I arrived there was 5 other people waiting for physicals and only 1 medical staff. Management clearly has ZERO consideration for others time. Corporate greed at its finest!

The staff are wonderful. Donation times vary wildly based on staffing (from a little over an hour to well over two hours). The women's restroom is horrendous. One stall is permanently locked. Another is missing a panel over the lock (not private). The only functional stall has a toilet seat that always looks like this...

They let several racist employees get away with sticking the needle in my arm wrong, retaliation for me complaining about it. So in an empty lobby they made me wait 25 minutes. Then an additional 20 minutes sitting at a machine not being plugged in. They acted like this behavior was my fault. The regional manager called me to hear my complaint then she hung up on me very rudely and never looked into it. Then they deferred me from coming back. Sebastian, Mike, Steven are ALL Guilty.

Phlbotomist calls donors 'the mental asylum' because they are understaffed, they blame the donors. I checked in 2 minutes early to am appointment, Claudia calls me back then reprimanded for a 2 minute early check in, saying people like me is messing everything up. Then proceeds to call donors 'the mental asylum'. Complete disrespect for donors, there's plenty of other centers to go to. I was talking about politics with one of the male phlebotomists and the long purple haired liberal gave me a dirty look at one point. Next donation I was being talked to with a medical -related professional about racial comments that occurred during my first donation and was asked if I had made such remarks. Wasted an hour of my time for them to deny me because I live in a shelter. All the paperwork, videos binders say NOTHING about this. My id is valid but they call it a "bad address". Thanks for discriminating against those in need.

Do your research, places like these are just made to scam poor people. Making money off human blood is illegal in most countries for good reason and places like these exist to try to ignore those rules at your expense. Look at the mistreated staff and the strange pyramid scheme style incentives. If you are so desperate you have to go here for their vampiric program, I feel sorry for you.

I needed to do a physical in order to donate since it had been a couple years. There was only 1 person to do physicals and he said it'd be a 4 to 5 hour wait. No thanks.

I had no idea what to expect when I first walked in and what I found was a bustling, extremely clean, friendly place with generous compensation for your time and donation. I rank only 4 stars due to the longer wait times in the evenings and they aren't open on Sunday?s. EDIT: July 2019 It had been 6 months since my last donation so they required me to be a ?new applicant? again and provide all documentation and re-do literally hours of questionnaires. Just became not worth my time and energy.

Rates arbitrarily go down without notice. They no longer give new donor fees to people that have EVER donated there before!!! Which is a great way of saying we don't appreciate you coming back and being a loyal donor. The place is clean and the staff is friendly for the most part.

Every time I come in I feel so welcome. The staff is so nice. I have never had any problems. Ricky is awesome and it is painless with his stick. He makes you feel at ease and relaxed throughout the process. Everyone there is awesome really. I haven't had a bad tech yet. The staff here is awesome!! I have been coming for years and have always had a good experience. I love seeing familiar faces when I go in as a lot of the staff stays the same over time. Katie, Hannah, Jenni, etc. everyone is great and make sure that you are taken care of and get a few laughs in while you donate!

It's a very efficient place, with friendly phlebotomists & an always welcoming stipend! Bring a hat/ jacket with as well, it can get quite chilly during the donation.

All of the staff has been exceptional and so helpful. Everyone is friendly and I have never had issues. It is clean and easy to check in. Ricky and Shari are attentive and great phlebotomists. I asked the guy that was poking me that I wanted someone else to stick me but he just said he was busy and continued to stick me. I have been coming to this location since 2018. Everything was great UNTIL they switched managers. This current manager came in power tripping and he changed almost everything. Which wouldn't be so bad except it's inconvenienced me as the donor. We have to wait almost 30 mins just to be screened! When Aaron (the old manager) worked, he made sure that everything was balanced, he was warm and approachable. This new manager has a permanent RBF! He never speaks to any donors and he treats the staff like garbage

Last time I gave them 5 stars. But something has changed. I loved donating here. 1 to 1.5 hrs in and out. and they started a new process and it is taking 1.5 hrs to get to a bed. There is standing room only in the lobby. This is crazy stupid. 1 nurse to get all clients in to hold them back up front. I am told to make faster in back. It was the same in back. 1.25 hrs to see the nurse for stats What if don't pass. all that time for nothing.

I've been donating here for a few months now and I have yet to have a bad experience. Everyone here is so nice, the place is clean, and the pay rates are great ( and consistent across the board no matter what weight category you're in.) Didn't know you had to be a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist to donate. They said my pulse was a bit high, turned me away and the guy said "Some people are not mentally ready to donate." Okay, plus their machines seem to be down, had to move to 3 different chairs just to get going. So why should I trust their pulse taker? Staff is always so pleasant here, sometimes the place gets busy and despite the buzz I always feel calm and safe. I have some awful veins and everyone is so patient making sure I can donate comfortably. Shoutout to Ricky for being attentive and efficient and some seriously good deadpan humor!

I've only had a couple of times where I didn't have a bruise after my donation. I recently had two employees at this location I have had a phenomenal experience during the process. Micheal took my advice not to put it in too deep and I healed in less than 2 days with no bruise. He was attentive and very good at his job. I've been coming here for 4 years now, and most of the people that work here are amazing! Honestly, the main reason why I keep coming back. If it wasn't for Ricky/Zoe/Dani/Joshua I don't know if it would be worth coming back! They make everyone experience so enjoyable, and worry free. Always leave feeling ripped off they don't tell you when prices drop. The card they give you charges you for using it and you don't have any other options. Also never received ether buddy referral communication is terrible there.

I had a great experience during my last donation. The phlebotomist, Ricky, was absolutely fantastic and was able to handle my difficult veins with minimal difficulty; even checked in on my draws each time when the machine started beeping/going off; also was very attentive when I had a slight adverse reaction and made me feel calmer and well taken care of. 10/10 would highly recommend you request them!??

Every team member that I worked with (between 5-6) were so friendly, helpful and put me at ease; I was a little nervous since this was my first time donating. The entire facility was super clean, and I watched staff members being meticulous about procedures. An overall fantastic facility! UPDATE- I downgraded my rating from 5 to 1 stars. The staff was friendly, informative and abundant. The new donor visits are of course longer than the visits that follow. They estimated 2-4 hours and it only took 2.5 hours. Only 40 minutes for the plasma donation process itself. I'm not sure what all of the factors are that contribute to discomfort when the needle is first inserted. They are my favorites because they are always friendly and patient and do not make you feel rushed or in a hurry. I have been coming here for a few months and so far wonderful astablishment, however I was just told by a staff member that I'm required to make an appointment. There is no walk-ins allowed. I've never been told that and I've been walking in sense becoming a new donor. Not that it's a problem, but either she's right or she needs some retraining for discouraging me from coming in when I'm available.

Nobody came to the desk for at least 5 minutes after I got there, they called for someone and walked right back and I didn't see anyone come back up for quite some time. This is an amazing plasma center. I've been to a few at this point and these guys are A-OK. I have to give a shout out to their top phlebotomist Tanya. I believe that she can stick veins blindfolded. This place is pretty cool. Pays really decent for donating plasma, which is a great thing to do anyway. Lyle is a really friendly tech there, and Ricky was super gentle when he he stuck the needle in last time I was there - I barely felt it. I go twice a week and use the money as a travel savings fund.

Everyone at this center is super friendly and inviting. I always request Zoe because she is the sweetest and always makes me feel happy to be there. Management here seems very well organized and I never feel like I am an inconvenience.

Awesome place. Grifols(Biomat and Talecris) really know how to make good-friendly-centers, least east portland has 2 great centers. Even the morning was nice. They probably heard a joke about taking a nap on 1 of the beds a million times by now but they still laugh and are courteous. I think the morning staff deserves Starbucks every morning. Updating my review as many things have changed lately. It usually takes me on average 1.5-2hrs now from sign in to disconnect. Today I waited 45mins in lobby after signing in before being called to screen. Didn't even follow through with screening because i could see all those called before me sitting in front of the lab still waiting for a bed. When i asked how many people were waiting back there still they said 10. Which means id have another 45min wait? On top of multiple others who walked out before me

On one of my first appointments I met Lyle who was very nice and made me feel comfortable! She was also a nursing student, great to talk to knowing that we had similarities and I wasn't just another patient!
