NOT RECOMMENDED FOR QUEER PEOPLE Maybe my experience was different from everyone else but what I went through I wouldn't recommend to anyone. It felt like the 80s. I'm an older queer person I've been out as trans since 2014 and lived most of my life in the rural South and I've never been made to feel more different than I just did today. The first red flag was they said "I notice you have nonbinary (x) on your driver's license, we don't have that option what should we put down" now this isn't something I f
The employees there are very efficient and respect your time. If I come in early enough, I'm usually in and out in an hour and they're online scheduling system and online kiosk is a very convenient way to tackle that system. However, I leave a one star due to what is most likely either upper management or middle management decision making. I've been going here on and off for about 2 years now and they're always changing up the pay system. Going back to 40 to 70 is a bad idea. People's lives don't revolve ar
I have been to a few plasma donation places, but this one is very clean and has appointment scheduled visits. I always hated standing in a long line to donate. Very helpful and happy professional people. Thank you! If you're looking for a great place to donate plasma. This is it! ????
Thank you guys for always being super cool! Super clean place nice staff and good pay too! 10/10 place to donate shoutout the dude with the long brown hair and glasses he's always super chill and good at sticking people accurately every time!
Grifols is way overbooking people for the staff on hand. I made an 8:00 appointment because I was told it would be less busy, but when I arrived there was 5 other people waiting for physicals and only 1 medical staff. Management clearly has ZERO consideration for others time. Corporate greed at its finest!
The staff are wonderful. Donation times vary wildly based on staffing (from a little over an hour to well over two hours). The women's restroom is horrendous. One stall is permanently locked. Another is missing a panel over the lock (not private). The only functional stall has a toilet seat that always looks like this...
They let several racist employees get away with sticking the needle in my arm wrong, retaliation for me complaining about it. So in an empty lobby they made me wait 25 minutes. Then an additional 20 minutes sitting at a machine not being plugged in. They acted like this behavior was my fault. The regional manager called me to hear my complaint then she hung up on me very rudely and never looked into it. Then they deferred me from coming back. Sebastian, Mike, Steven are ALL Guilty.
Phlbotomist calls donors 'the mental asylum' because they are understaffed, they blame the donors. I checked in 2 minutes early to am appointment, Claudia calls me back then reprimanded for a 2 minute early check in, saying people like me is messing everything up. Then proceeds to call donors 'the mental asylum'. Complete disrespect for donors, there's plenty of other centers to go to. Edit to add: this was a employee who was very friendly in the past and I enjoyed seeing her during my times there. I think
From first time to my last donation- Excellent staff. Especially Erinn, Nicole, Makayla and everyone there are great. I have hard veins to find sometimes and they are great.
I was talking about politics with one of the male phlebotomists and the long purple haired liberal gave me a dirty look at one point. Next donation I was being talked to with a medical -related professional about racial comments that occurred during my first donation and was asked if I had made such remarks. I said to the guy that ?no that never happened and was talking about trumps policies? anyways long story short the purple haired liberal lady made a false report because she was blinded by rage after
Wasted an hour of my time for them to deny me because I live in a shelter. All the paperwork, videos binders say NOTHING about this. My id is valid but they call it a "bad address". Thanks for discriminating against those in need.
Do your research, places like these are just made to scam poor people. Making money off human blood is illegal in most countries for good reason and places like these exist to try to ignore those rules at your expense. Look at the mistreated staff and the strange pyramid scheme style incentives. If you are so desperate you have to go here for their vampiric program, I feel sorry for you.
Nice people and slightly better pay than other centers at the moment. They are attentive during your plasma draw.
I needed to do a physical in order to donate since it had been a couple years. There was only 1 person to do physicals and he said it'd be a 4 to 5 hour wait. No thanks.
I had no idea what to expect when I first walked in and what I found was a bustling, extremely clean, friendly place with generous compensation for your time and donation. I rank only 4 stars due to the longer wait times in the evenings and they aren't open on Sunday?s. EDIT: July 2019 It had been 6 months since my last donation so they required me to be a ?new applicant? again and provide all documentation and re-do literally hours of questionnaires. Just became not worth my time and energy.
1st time and was nervous. All of the staff was great with explaining things to me and making me feel at ease. Cozy, clean setting. Will be going back to donate there again!
I've been donating here since 2016 and I have really loved it! Staff have been amazing and never had any issues with my donation. Yes wait times can sometimes be awhile but their appointment system has helped with that a bit. Giving 3 stars because their pay has drastically decreased since the new year. It's consistently been at least $20 less each month which means I'm now making $100 less each month than at the end of last year. And they don't tell you until you're donating that prices decreased again (i
It's a pretty good place to donate actually. Been going there off and on for couple years now and the workers are good at what they do. I read a review about the new management and I would have to totally agree with what he said. Seems like the workers are just good on the machine it just a number. That's too bad because the company will suffer due to that. And my biggest complaint is then lowering their payout. I quit going there because of them doing that. So management... Go get em tiger but when the tur
Best Center in PDX: friendly, knowledgeable staff, clean, professional, and they go above and beyond to get you in and out quickly. Ricky, Vaush, Julie, Claudia and Sam are overly kind phlebotomists. I won't go anywhere else! Highly recommend.
Rates arbitrarily go down without notice. They no longer give new donor fees to people that have EVER donated there before!!! Which is a great way of saying we don't appreciate you coming back and being a loyal donor. The place is clean and the staff is friendly for the most part.
I love how I get treated here. It's fast paced. I usually get done in 40minites total for being a return donor
Blewout my out my arms twice in a row. They used to actually be careful before sticking me now it seems rushed
If you have hours to wait past your appointment time slot this is perfect for you. Painfully understaffed location. Good option for homeless and unemployed. Edited to add that this is to no fault of the staff that are working hard daily and doing their best. Seems that better incentives need to be offered to staff to retain and make the job more lucrative. Doing the good deed of donating plasma should not come at such a hassle and be overly time consuming for the people choosing to donate.
The wait times are unbearable. Not worth sitting there, why they go one person at a time for 40 bucks.. no way
Quick and painless you want to donate here I just wish I found this place sooner been going to csl what a waste of time standing in line for over a hour and then on the machine for 45 min plus but here in and out in a hour.thanks everyone e
Every time I come in I feel so welcome. The staff is so nice. I have never had any problems. Ricky is awesome and it is painless with his stick. He makes you feel at ease and relaxed throughout the process. Everyone there is awesome really. I haven't had a bad tech yet. I have been donating here for a few months now and I will keep coming back.
The staff here is awesome!! I have been coming for years and have always had a good experience. I love seeing familiar faces when I go in as a lot of the staff stays the same over time. Katie, Hannah, Jenni, etc. everyone is great and make sure that you are taken care of and get a few laughs in while you donate!
It's a very efficient place, with friendly phlebotomists & an always welcoming stipend! Bring a hat/ jacket with as well, it can get quite chilly during the donation.
All of the staff has been exceptional and so helpful. Everyone is friendly and I have never had issues. It is clean and easy to check in. Ricky and Shari are attentive and great phlebotomists. They make my experience pleasant. As someone who is smaller in weight the pay is also better than other centers.
I asked the guy that was poking me that I wanted someone else to stick me but he just said he was busy and continued to stick me. I felt so much pain after the first cycle and told him to take it out and went home. I'm pissed off because all this could have been prevented if he wouldn't have gotten offended and asked for the person I wanted to stick me. Now I can't bend my all the way, but have to because of work. Yesterday this bruise was the size of a quarter. And now it's getting bigger. I'm pissed off a
This is a great place to donate friendly staff very knowledgeable clean center.
They are all really nice and make you feel comfortable ??
I have been coming to this location since 2018. Everything was great UNTIL they switched managers. This current manager came in power tripping and he changed almost everything. Which wouldn't be so bad except it's inconvenienced me as the donor. We have to wait almost 30 mins just to be screened! When Aaron (the old manager) worked, he made sure that everything was balanced, he was warm and approachable. This new manager has a permanent RBF! He never speaks to any donors and he treats the staff like garbage
Last time I gave them 5 stars. But something has changed. I loved donating here. 1 to 1.5 hrs in and out. and they started a new process and it is taking 1.5 hrs to get to a bed. There is standing room only in the lobby. This is crazy stupid. 1 nurse to get all clients in to hold them back up front. I am told to make faster in back. It was the same in back. 1.25 hrs to see the nurse for stats What if don't pass. all that time for nothing.
I've been donating here for a few months now and I have yet to have a bad experience. Everyone here is so nice, the place is clean, and the pay rates are great ( and consistent across the board no matter what weight category you're in.) Most of the time the sticks are pretty painless and unlike other places I've donated, I trust everyone at this place to stick me. I love so many of the people who work here, but especially Lyle and Charisse. They're both so lovely and it's always nice to chat and catch up ev
My experience is always great! Such a clean environment and the staff is always so friendly! Red helped me through my new donor process and was so kind and made the process fun and so comfortable. I had been away for some time and Kayla still remembered me when I went on the floor and made my experience great!
Didn't know you had to be a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist to donate. They said my pulse was a bit high, turned me away and the guy said "Some people are not mentally ready to donate." Okay, plus their machines seem to be down, had to move to 3 different chairs just to get going. So why should I trust their pulse taker? They never explained the check-in procedure and they say "You checked in early!" I ask what time is it? She said 8:35. My appointment was at 8:15. She said well you could still be waiti
Staff is always so pleasant here, sometimes the place gets busy and despite the buzz I always feel calm and safe. I have some awful veins and everyone is so patient making sure I can donate comfortably. Shoutout to Ricky for being attentive and efficient and some seriously good deadpan humor!
Amazing service and friendly staff. I can always come here and feel safe and they always have me out of there in a timely manner. The center manager, Aaron P is one of the hardest workers in the building and he sure knows how to run a business. 10/10 would recommend.
I've only had a couple of times where I didn't have a bruise after my donation. I recently had two employees at this location I have had a phenomenal experience during the process. Micheal took my advice not to put it in too deep and I healed in less than 2 days with no bruise. He was attentive and very good at his job. Ricky also gave me that same care and it went in so fast it was virtually painless. Thanks to these 2 employees I can heal faster, experience less pain and that means I can HAPPILY donate mo
Very friendly staff. Noticeable team work. Manager Aaron works at making the process efficient. I enjoyed Katrina, who always makes it a point to great me with a friendly smile! Very caring, and makes sure I have what I need! And she's never bruised me! Then, there's Tiffany. She loosens me up during testing, and has the cutest personality! I enjoy her humor. Can't forget Reid. He works in the back and greets me by name! It's a great well managed place, with a very pleasant environment. I actually lo
I love this place. The employees are all very good at their jobs and are all very friendly. I always feel comfortable and they are very attentive. I have been to other places and had bad experiences, but when I came here they instantly made me feel comfortable. Who knew you could actually enjoy donating, but here it's actually very enjoyable and it's all do to a very well trained staff who are all very friendly, positive, and happy. Thank you for making my day every time I donate. Keep shining like the star
I've been going here consistently for 2 years and would recommend if you're seeking to sell plasma. The staff is friendly and professional. The center is clean and comfortable. I once had a bad donation (my own fault for eating poorly prior) and the staff reaction was immediate, caring, and understanding. They pay well and have consistent bonuses and prizes. It's about all you could ask of this kind of operation.
Wow.. What a way to end a 5 year long relationship with TPR! And although management is doing its best to put the needs of donors/staff LAST, there are some all-stars that will be missed! JENNI, HANNAH, NADIEN, TAY, BASH, KERRA, and even RICKIE and DIANNA. If you visit this location, ask for these people (trust me), or else you'll end up like me. Unable to request a QUALITY phlebotomist (due to hours being cut) I was stuck with someone who? would really rather talk about her personal life .MIMI. rather than
I come here every week, twice a week. Love the staff, everyone is so kind and professional. Ricky, Seleyna, Hannah, Bash, Jenny, Elizabeth, Tanya, Claudia and Derek all have great amazing bedside manner and are professional pokers.
Rickie is making me do this review to give me candy. ?? But aside from me being bribed I love the staff and facility. Sebastian and rickie give venipunctures like butter-smooth and painless. 10/10 I appreciate all the conversations I've had and the giggles shared while trying to get an hour to myself and making some money while doing it. The staff make sure you're hydrated and have a snack if need be and always make sure you're comfortable. I'd happily write another review with my alter email ??
New manager sounds horrible. I've never walked in but turning people away cause they wanna walk in is insane. What really got me was they can't do criss cross bandage anymore and not a single valid reason ?new management? was what I was told. If there's a logical scientific reason that's better explain that. Now my car rides home are harder cause of they can't do a simple criss cross bandage
I've been donating for years off n on, but new to Talecris. Holy moly you guys are in a league of your own..from start to finish professionalism and efficiency. Every other place seems to take so much longer to get checked in and finally hooked up to donate. The energy in the building feels so alive and joyful, the staff always communicating and making sure all our needs are met. There is one stand out staff member I have to mention Daniela, I think they call her Dani. I've been doing this awhile now and I
UPDATE: SO MUCH WRONG WITH THIS PLACE. DONORS BEWARE! I decided to give them one more chance and came back after over a year. Well, they made me go through the whole new donor process but DID NOT compensate me properly with the new donor amount! They also did not even inform me of this new policy. So, for wasting 2 hours of my time + stealing my plasma, I received a measly $40. (And mind you, they sell the plasma for well over $500) WHAT A SCAM! But WAIT, there's MORE! I got SICK because the employee who wa
RUN!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! THIS A TRASH PLASMA CENTER THAT IS RAN UNPROFESSIONALLY AND THEY HIRE TRASH PHLEBOTOMISTS!!! Donate your plasma to a center that VALUES YOU AND YOUR TIME!!! ??
10115 SE Stark St, Portland, OR 97216 this place is targeting people and I've been deferred for a whole week they are very unprofessional my clothes are clean they complain that I smell bad they complain I smell too good I can't smell like anything what is that they are playing favoritism because I have a female friend that also donates here 10115 SE Stark St, Portland, OR 97216 and they let her donate still so it's favoritism or sexism or discrimination or some sort of racism I have no idea please do so
I've been coming here for 4 years now, and most of the people that work here are amazing! Honestly, the main reason why I keep coming back. If it wasn't for Ricky/Zoe/Dani/Joshua I don't know if it would be worth coming back! They make everyone experience so enjoyable, and worry free. All of them make it so there is no pain along with easing that fear! Amazing group of people. Raises all round tbh!
Always leave feeling ripped off they don't tell you when prices drop. The card they give you charges you for using it and you don't have any other options. Also never received ether buddy referral communication is terrible there.
Love this place! And staff are like family ?? always doing what they can to be helpful. Love Destiny! She is always keeping me laughing and somehow manages to get me out fast when she sticks me. Bonuses definitely make it worth coming . 100 bucks first 10 visits for new donors! Go!
I had a great experience during my last donation. The phlebotomist, Ricky, was absolutely fantastic and was able to handle my difficult veins with minimal difficulty; even checked in on my draws each time when the machine started beeping/going off; also was very attentive when I had a slight adverse reaction and made me feel calmer and well taken care of. 10/10 would highly recommend you request them!??
Every team member that I worked with (between 5-6) were so friendly, helpful and put me at ease; I was a little nervous since this was my first time donating. The entire facility was super clean, and I watched staff members being meticulous about procedures. An overall fantastic facility! UPDATE- I downgraded my rating from 5 to 1 stars. The staff are still wonderful, but the wait times here have gotten out of control. I know it's not the staff?s fault, it's a corporate issue, but I always come between 5-8
The staff was friendly, informative and abundant. The new donor visits are of course longer than the visits that follow. They estimated 2-4 hours and it only took 2.5 hours. Only 40 minutes for the plasma donation process itself. I'm not sure what all of the factors are that contribute to discomfort when the needle is first inserted. I DO know that it's possible for the phlebotomist to insert the needle and me to hardly notice. That was not necessarily the case today however. Aside from that, a near perfect
I've been coming to Talecris for about a year and a half now. I try to always request Ben or John. They are my favorites because they are always friendly and patient and do not make you feel rushed or in a hurry. I appreciate that Talecris is so clean and runs so efficiently with their online appointment scheduling. A clean, safe facility is a top priority to me. In addition, I love being able to make money for a good purpose. The first month you can make about a $1000. After that, it's at least $40.00 pe
This facility is ran very well with the most personable people. ?? I got the chance to be around this family for quite some time and I'd recommend them to anyone who is wanting to not only give back to those in need, but as well as a step to help themselves out financially. Everything is easy to understand and follow and the staff makes the experience comfortable and quick. Not a lot of Plasma donation centers are looked at as a wonderful place, but this one is well worth your time and well worth getting to
Everyone here was so kind and friendly. I ended up fainting right before I got done and the two people who helped make sure I was okay were so sweet. I wish I could remember their names. They were all super professional too. Highly recommend being well hydrated and eating before you donate. And definitely recommend this place if you want to donate. Thank you guys for being so kind ????
I donate regularly here. Really nice staff and very communicative. If I ever have a question I can't find the answer to online, they are easy to get a hold of via phone and always know the answer. I've never had an issue, but when patients pass out (which is very rare, like happened twice and I've gone over a hundred times) or need extra attention, the staff helps immediately. The pay is great and you are incentivized to donate 6 or 7 times a month. I like how each donation is basically a mini physical, a
Staff is friendly and the new machines are very fast. Takes me about 30 minutes once I'm in the chair. Just drink plenty of water and eat before you go so you are hydrated. I will be back tomorrow for another appointment. Thank you
Great experience! Awesome staff, very friendly and caring. They made sure I had the right vitals before starting. Kiara is great. She really knows what she's doing! I always appreciate that especially when donating.
The environment is always clean and staff are friendly! Even with the hustle and bustle the staff try to keep a light, fun, speedy and friendly environment! Red screened me today (6/25) and was friendly yet speedy!
I have been coming here for a few months and so far wonderful astablishment, however I was just told by a staff member that I'm required to make an appointment. There is no walk-ins allowed. I've never been told that and I've been walking in sense becoming a new donor. Not that it's a problem, but either she's right or she needs some retraining for discouraging me from coming in when I'm available.
Awesome center. Appointment set-up makes it quick. Truly great staff, they are kind, funny, and friendly. Even when you can see they are tired they still try to make your donation quick, easy, and enjoyable. Jenii is a very sweet person
Was extremely confusing as a new donor and I ended up walking out. Nobody came to the desk for at least 5 minutes after I got there, they called for someone and walked right back and I didn't see anyone come back up for quite some time. I happened to notice the QR code to sign in but there is no real instructions on what to do. I'm someone who likes to be prepared and know what I'm doing, but I don't even know it the QR code was the only thing I needed to do. I waited there for over an hour before bailing,
Love the staff here! Very welcoming and made my experience as a new donor fun and enjoyable. Im terrified of needles, but the floor staff always make sure I feel comfortable and took away a lot of that fear. Great people, awesome compensation, totally recommend! :)
This is an amazing plasma center. I've been to a few at this point and these guys are A-OK. I have to give a shout out to their top phlebotomist Tanya. I believe that she can stick veins blindfolded. I highly recommend her skills. She must have been taught by the best. There's a lot to love about this place and I think it starts at the top with their charming manager. Nice fella. Beyond the excellent staff, it is a very clean facility, and even if it seems busy, I feel like I'm never there for more
I've been going to this location for about 6 months and it's been great! I chose it because it had a lot of good reviews and I certainly didn't want to go to a low rated plasma center. Overall, I think you can tell that these people genuinely care about your safety and well-being. It may seem like a lot of rules and requirements which can be frustrating at times but, at the end of the day, all of it is just to keep you safe and healthy. I normally don't write reviews but I feel that recognizing employees wh
Great place with great employees. My most recent visit with Kat was very quick, easy, and pleasant. I've been donating here for a few months and i plan to keep coming back
This place is wonderful. I have been donating here for over a year and a half now and plan to keep donating for as long as I can. You never know when you'll need medical help and need blood, plasma,or whatever you need at the time. So I'm helping someone that needs it today so in the future I hope someone will donate for me if needed. But this place makes you want to keep coming back to help people. Everyone here is great at their jobs and make you feel safe while being poked with a needle lol. Yes they giv
Most of the time A+. My only complaint is that sometimes when I have to donate later in the evening I feel like I'm getting rushed out the door. A few times I've been uncomfortable with the way I'm disconnected, people very much in a hurry to get out and that doesn't sit well with me when someone is taking a needle out of my body and all that. As someone who has worked in restaurants and such over the years I understand wanting to be done with work but in this situation that doesn't seem like a good idea an
For the most part everybody there is great, except for Lacey B. She was very rude at the front counter. If I was a first time donor I don't think I would go back. But since I know that there are more employees there that are very nice and all about treating donors great, I will continue going. But Lacey needs to definitely work on her customer service or get a new job!!!!
I've had a great experience at this donation center. The staff are well-qualified and friendly. They also have great promotions that always keep me coming back to donate! $$ I'm usually in and out pretty quickly, especially around the early afternoon hours. Staff are competent and make it a great experience while I'm there.
Second time donating at this location and I have dealt with 2 different employees who truly hate their jobs and make sure that they show it to everyone which I assume is on a daily basis since I'm 2/2 right now. Today I was blatantly skipped when my 30 min donation time had another 30 minutes added to it while I waited as she conversed with other people and helped them. But when she got to me her whole attitude switched and just decided not to be so talkative with me. Don't know if it is because she knew sh
This place is pretty cool. Pays really decent for donating plasma, which is a great thing to do anyway. Lyle is a really friendly tech there, and Ricky was super gentle when he he stuck the needle in last time I was there - I barely felt it. I go twice a week and use the money as a travel savings fund.
Everyone at this center is super friendly and inviting. I always request Zoe because she is the sweetest and always makes me feel happy to be there. Management here seems very well organized and I never feel like I am an inconvenience.
The people here are super nice. I particularly enjoy working with Kat, she is super nice and always takes good care of me. But everyone here is great.
I always feel welcome here! Great experience donating and meeting amazing people. Lyle in screening is the primary reason i donate regularly. I look forward to my time to donate and catch up with the amazing employees!
Awesome place. Grifols(Biomat and Talecris) really know how to make good-friendly-centers, least east portland has 2 great centers. Even the morning was nice. They probably heard a joke about taking a nap on 1 of the beds a million times by now but they still laugh and are courteous. I think the morning staff deserves Starbucks every morning. Was in and out in under a hour. Thank you all Taylor, Tanya, Katy, Lo, and the rest of you. Still great people there but I think none of the names I listed a few year
Super kind folks; Treat you like you matter. Information and sign in is straightforward and consistent. Clean. Comfortable. As nice as a plasma donation experience could be. Professional, well trained staff in both procedures and bed side manner. Great job! 5 star service!
Updating my review as many things have changed lately. It usually takes me on average 1.5-2hrs now from sign in to disconnect. Today I waited 45mins in lobby after signing in before being called to screen. Didn't even follow through with screening because i could see all those called before me sitting in front of the lab still waiting for a bed. When i asked how many people were waiting back there still they said 10. Which means id have another 45min wait? On top of multiple others who walked out before me
On one of my first appointments I met Lyle who was very nice and made me feel comfortable! She was also a nursing student, great to talk to knowing that we had similarities and I wasn't just another patient!
When I come in, I'm always greeted with a friendly hello. No matter how busy it is, the staff is always kind and professional. Kiara always goes out of her way to make sure everyone is taken care of and comfortable.
Been coming here for a couple months and always had a great experience. Derek is one of my favorite "stickers" but you can't go wrong with anyone on staff. Great bonuses too!
I've been donating plasma at this site for a few years (I've donated 248 times). My experiences have always been positive. The staff are amazing. They are very professional, friendly and engaging. I plan to continue donating plasma at this location indefinitely.
I love it here, the medical team is so nice and respectful. They will be quick to address any concerns, and they are great pokers. the center is very clean and peaceful environment.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
