This was my first time ever donating plasma and of course I had preconceived notions about what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The facility in Taylorsville is very clean, and well organized. Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and professional. The only downside was that my first appointment did take a little over four hours from start to finish but I did expect it to take longer since it was my first time. So, just a heads up, if it's your first time, pla
I want to say a HUGE thank you to all the staff that were working on 5/25/25 around 12:30pm. I had a severe reaction at the very end of my donation due to what I believe they said was an infiltrated vein during my last return. My nausea came on quick and escalated even quicker where I was sweating, the room was spinning and I felt like I was going to pass out. As soon as I alerted the staff of the nausea, they were quick to get me throw up bags, started fanning me, and covered me in ice packs to help me rec
Great place to donate. Friendly staff when they finally get to you extremely slow service but a clean environment.
Terrible staff and management. Went there with my boyfriend today at 2pm to donate, he is a returning donor so they already had his info on files but they needed him to do the physical again. He was cool with that and went to wait till they were ready. Mind you they are hella short staff which wasn't a problem until my boyfriend realizes he been sitting there for 2 hours now and went to ask the staff member when he can go. The staff member then went to tell him the person who did his screening forgot to put
Honestly having a hard time writing this review. Id love to give five stars for cleanliness however the staff seems unable to answer their phones. It takes me several calls before I finally get an answer and then they're short with the call and things go unfinished because they were too quick to end the call. HOWEVER whenever I'm IN the donation center the phones seem to be answered after the first ring and we're told to wait while they help them! Don't know if it's just my luck or what but it's been a wast
Great way to make some pocket cash to pay for gas and groceries during college!! Never had a bad experience. Many friends have come here with me.
This is the cleanest place I've been too! And the staff are amazing answer any questions you have. I'm I'm and out usually a hour tops
Staff are great. But sucks when they have to defer someone. For allocations of other donors don't like about you , if thou you smell, what clothes you wear, your appearance as a person, etc. I have been going by their policy and guidelines. Maybe I have to donate another day.
I've donated with Grifols for years, originally donated at Sandy then North Temple, taking a break for a few years and now at the Taylorsville location. I love this location and have always loved donating with Grifols! The manager Katy at this location is an incredible manager that I admire. I've worked at a few bars, nightclubs and restaurants and have experienced a lot of managers that didn't help when we were in the weeds and Katy is the opposite of that. Every time I come in to donate I see Katy on the
I've had mostly good experiences in the 7 months I've been donating. The staff are always professional and easy to work with. A couple of employees really stand out but everyone is professional. Overall a good place to donate!
I used donate here without an issue. I stopped donating for years because of the meds I WAS ON AND I'M NO LONGER ON. However I tried to donate again and they declined me because of my autoimmune disease. I never had a problem before and now they want to discriminate against me for it. Not to mention waiting for a couple of hours even though I had an appointment. This place is very disappointing to say the least. Don't waste your time going here they will just waste your time find somewhere else to go.
Absolutely love this center and the staff actually make sure that everything goes smoothly and I have had zero issues with them
They were very respectful and faster then any other center I have been to I would definitely refer everyone that wants to donate to go to grifols....
I did not have a good experience here. Take note that I worked as a registered nurse and certified critical care nurse for around 40 years. I also understand that working in this type of environment can be very challenging. I completed the three hour initial visit assessment then was taken back for the plasmapheresis. My IV was placed in a vein in the bend of my arm. The plasmapheresis machine had periods of struggling. It was checked by a technician and then the lead technician. Then the IV showed signs o
I have donated at this center for years but I do feel that the awareness of clients have gone way way down I have been hooked up to my machine and it has beeped repeatedly and NO one has come over to check I have been here for over 2 hours, I am about to rip this needle out myself I am so disappointed and think they just don't care about our time, I would recommend going to a different center- they finale came over and said there is nothing they can do but let it struggle?? so here I sit
Great staff, great compensation. Been doing this for about 8 months now and they always take good care and work precisely and safely.
I've been coming to this place for about two years now and they are always friendly and kind. Will continue coming back ?? I recommend.
I have been told numerous times that it's because they have new machines that don't understand how the filter system works. This is the fourth time that I've been here and have been hooked up to a machine for almost 2 hours and no one thinks that it's an issue. It's disappointing and frustrating.
These guys have always been very good to me. They're not only friendly but they're professional, and I appreciate that. I have a friend that goes somewhere else, but is always complaining about how long it takes to get in. I've never seen it be the case here and that's a big plus for me.
They helped me get my onboarding paperwork and initial physical done quickly and were very friendly.
This is going to be my first time donating plasma! I was going to try the red cross and was treated horrible and very unprofessional I called Grifols in Taylorsville and from the phone call to being in-person I've been treated with the upmost respect they are very professional and friendly I highly recommend them if you are interested in donating plasma!
One of the best donation centers in the valley, staff is always really nice and helpful, really fast too I'm usually there for around an hour when other centers take up to 3 hours sometimes
Staff is very nice. Process is simple and straightforward once you have all of the information they require
Great place and great staff as well! Super helpful and made donating fast and easy.
Watch out with this place. The employees here have a hard time poking you. Especially the red head short hair chick. Walks around like she owns the place. No empathy at all. She messed up my arm so bad. I should have asked for full compensation after how she treated me. She kept moving the needle in and out like it was a game controller cord. And I asked her please don't move it any more, in a painful voice. She didn't seem to care. If they want us coming in with good veins and arms, they should also have t
Everyone was nice and knew what they were doing and talked me through what was happening it was nice.
I'm I am not happy with this place, I have been there multiple times and they gave me a bonus and I never got it, I have tried calling them and no one awnsers
Staff is friendly, and the experience is good. Been coming here for about 3 years now.
It was honestly not bad nice people told us all the information that we needed to know and got us in as fast as (they) could would definitely donate again
The people here are extremely nice very good at their jobs and making sure you have a good and enjoyable experience.
Always fast and clean. Happy to keep donating here. My experience has almost remained the same over the years. However the last few months I have had issues with an older Indian lady. She is consistently rude and condescending when she has done my screenings. Today was the first time I have had to interact with her on the doner floor and after a very difficult donation made me feel very uncomfortable and talked down too. I will make sure to avoid her every time and will gladly wait extra time to do so. She
The process was super fast and all the workers were super kind and made the experience smooth for me. Highly recommended.
The staff at the Taylorsville grifols are some of the best pepole! They make donations lots of fun. I'm always In And out within an hour and it feels well worth the compensation.
5 star place! Was scared this is my first time donating but they were so sweet and made me feel so comfortable!
Wonderful experience, I don't usually wait long and the staff make the donation process easy.
They treat you like garbage! Definitely find any other place to donate! I have been donating plasma at the Sandy location for several months now with great results, but just switched Monday to the Taylorville because it was closer to my house. Monday I walked in and asked them if I could switch and they got it taken care of and got me in for a donation. I had tried to make a reservation for today, but wasn't able to get one so I decided to try as a walk in, as I have done before in Sandy without a problem.
Former CMS employee here! Absolutely great place to work (And donate!). Competitive pay. Scheduling flexibility. Awesome coworkers (Love you guys! ). Management is terrific! Everyone who works here is amazing! And I have to say we had (Have, I'm just not there anymore lol) some amazing donors!
I've donated a lot for years here. Service is beyond reproach and new machines make it faster than ever. That said, they never answer the phone. Ever. Caused more than a few problems as I travel from Tooele and referrals' interests were very commonplace. One small detail can make or break resources for me and patronage for them. There's usually cost/benefit analysis for any trip to SLC from BFE, but the phone is not a solution implored. It's considered a hindrance and, understandably so, in any modern insti
Being I haven't been here for a while they had me sitting ther for over an hour before I just gave up if your new or haven't donated in a while i suggest going somewhere else probably my worst centers I've been to and I've gone to every plasma center in the salt lake valley almost even made an appointment
I enjoy coming here. The employees are always so friendly
We Feel Like Family There And Beautiful And Clean They Need Heater Outside So That We Can Stay Warm Waiting For Them To Open The Doors For Us
The staff is very friendly, they makes you feel comfortable.
Customer service was great and the employees are kind and knowledgeable. They make the process quick and I easy. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to donate or make some extra cash
Friendly staff, clean center. I prefer Grifols over the other centers I've been to.
Amazing place, very clean and friendly, amazing team and fast paced with care.
Very disappointed in the customer service and responsibility of this place. Waited 20+ minutes for someone to come from the back to occupy the front desk. I was told I needed to come back another day and scheduled an appointment. After creating the appointment I changed my mind and decided to call and cancel. Took me 4 calls to get someone to answer (probably wasn't as the front desk again). Come to find out they never set that appointment for me. This all happened in the same day and only a few minutes ap
I really can't overstate how amazing this center is, obviously the management team genuinely cares about their staff and donors! So much better than Biolife, not even comparable. Thank you Taylorsville Bikmat for being much more efficient, clean and caring than the others!
I love being able to donate plasma. The staff are great, informative and seem to adjust to changes that corporate makes. I have had to leave due to wait times of more than 90 minutes. The new 'HUB' System is so hard to use and time consuming. I hope they get rid of it. If not gor that system this would be a 4 star rating.
Love this facility. Staff is amazing, managers are kind and available. Been coming here for 6 years.
The staff are so friendly, respectful and fast it's very clean every time I do my donation the staff are always welcoming
I've been donating here for a while now. I got it down with how much water I drink and what I eat I can make it out in under an hour, actually donating on the bed. Since they have been doing the weight and height scale to determine how much you give, I'm spending 45 minutes longer on average to donate. This is not being as lucrative as it once was. I was there over 2 hours last donation, and I get the same donor fee as people giving less plasma. I hope they consider this. I like it here but it has to be wor
The staff worked well as a team and got a lot of the first donation process out of the way. All the while everyone was personable, kind and prompt during the entire process. If you leave here misunderstanding something.. You were not paying attention. I look forward to saving lives and making a little extra money at the same time in the future.
Good center, great people. I have not had a negative experience in the year or longer that I have been coming here. The people are quite entertaining at times. Usually a quick, easy screening and donation. And I live down the street so that's even better ??
I've been donating at this location for 5 years now. The new program they are doing to determine donation amount is a bit irritating. According to my weight I have always donated the smaller amount. Now with the Height X Weight system I'm required to donate what I consider a substantial amount more. The time it takes for me to donate has increased by 25 minutes because of this system. So now I'm spending more time and not making anymore money for it.
Grifols is such a amazing facility and they save life's and I am thankful for them for allowing me to donate so I can have the chance to serve and help our community. The team they have there are so great and funny and fun to be around. They make your vist when you donate a fun experience. ??
This place is so great. I love the staff and they know the regulars
This Location is #1 in the county , staff is awesome ,the process is efficient and am accessible for appointment modifications.
I've recently deleted my 5 star review of this place and am giving it 2 now. Yes it's still clean and feels sanitary but the company as a whole has really changed over the years. The wait times for beds and disconnects is getting longer with all the new "systems" they're implementing. No one takes accountability or cares. The Donors will always be the ones who waste their time, energy and effort . I use to feel like a part of the Grifols family when I see them 2 times a week but that's not the case anymore.
Sevon was absolutely fantastic! He is very friendly and made my first time very fast ! He made sure to make sure I are something before I donated. Avery and Katie were very helpful once I got to the donating part. I had a good experience!
Nicest staff I've ever encountered. Very helpful and answered all of my questions
Don't waste your time with this greedy place. I've been donating to this company for five years. They just changed their policy so that they can take more plasma, which is cool, but they don't compensate you for the extra that they get now. I'm not sure what measurements they use, but I always donated 700, and with that, you got $40 on your first donation and $70 on your second donation of the week. With the new way they do things, they now take 1000 per visit and only pay a whopping $5 extra per week, and
Great service, reasonable time frames, and very professional and clean facilities. I always feel comfortable coming here and I'm glad I found this place.
I love coming here, every time I donate it's always pleasant and easy, all the staff are nice and seem to do their job very well!! Good job grifols!!
This is the best place to go to donate plasma, the staff are very friendly and professional. They take their jobs and patients very seriously.
First, the positives: most of the staff are really great, friendly and professional, and really good at their job. Now for some frustrating negatives: this plasma center sucks at scheduling. There are times when it's practically empty, and times when I've had an hour and a half long wait to get into my appointment. Yet, despite the erratic scheduling, I have frequently been turned away for arriving 10 minutes late. I get that arriving on time helps them operate smoothly, but there have been so many times th
Everyone here is SO nice! They are all so helpful and careful with their practice. They do their absolute best under their tricky circumstances right now. I love coming here because of the staff. Especially Ryan, the manager, is so awesome and attentive ti everyone. Love this location!!
I always have been to here and have been feeling welcomed and have had great service, all the staff from what I've seen are so awesome and specifically Patrick every time I came has been so awesome!!
First four donations go well, but the 5th I never got my money. Smh, I'll change the review I'd I actually get it
Loved it here the staff was very nice and informative with ever question I had.
Good plasma donation center - short wait times due to appointments, which I really like. They have reduced their pay structure considerably in the last few weeks which is making me look for other places to donate. It used to be $40 for a first visit, $80 for the second visit. Second visit is now $70. I know it is not something the employees have control over, but I've got to say it feels kind of rude to have a company nickel and dime donors when plasma is such a valuable commodity.
Everyone is always in a great mood! They are all experienced and professional. Considering you're getting poked with a large needle, the staff always knows how to make you comfortable.
Been going here for a bit, always a good experience. Worst part is near the end, straight ice to the veins! Staff super friendly, appointments are easily made and it takes a good 50-60 mins.
I've been donating plasma for 4 years now. And Grifols treats me like family. Administrators and floor staff alike know my name and are excited to see me. Their medical staff is professional, trained, and capable to handle anything. And because of those things, I can say I've never had a bad donation
Had an ok experience at first, nothing to bad to say considering they are always busy. Some staff is friendly but most don't seem to want to be there and can be rude. Those in charge have power trips and do not honor bonuses, and when asked why they say ?it doesn't always work?. Like that they offer appointments but lately even with an appointment it can take longer, especially after 3pm. Will be going back to my old center, longer wait but much better service, they honor their bonuses and friendly staff.
At the screening with Katy, I needed to be checked by the medical staff for my blood presure. she told to wait on the chair. I asked why and she couldn't tell me. I said ok. Then the blood pressure thing was hurting my arm so gently took it off and put it on the table. The screener Katy had the attitude and scream at me ?get out of here? 3 times, when I have broken ankle. I respectfully told her no, I am going to wait on the chair because I have a broken ankle, She was so disrespectful. Then a female supe
Great service, i felt so comfortable during the process
They are very friendly and funny people. Very good environment
I've been coming to this location for about 6 months now, the process is long at 1st but then the structure of making appointments on the Express Kiosk is quick and convenient. I've had one donation go sideways but that's bound to happen no matter what at some point., no matter where you donate. The staff are all super friendly and seem to be well trained. It is very clean and well managed. Donating is life saving and a great little side hussle for extra cash ??
I never do a review but I'm sick and tired of the disrespect from the staff there I'm calling out Claudia very rude went on a power trip all cuz I was eating a lollipop I know we ain?t suppose to eat treats on the donor floor but she handled in a very rude unpleasant and un called for way. Again there's ways to go about things but being rude never gets you far. Claudia is terrible can someone talk to her about her attitude very unprofessional and needs to be held accountable yes her name is Claudia old lad
Have been donating here for years, and have always had a great experience. Any complaints are regarding things out of the center?s control - staffing shortage (everywhere), deferral (me), or altered donation times (staffing shortage). The staff is so fun, I love being able to chat and connect with people during my donation. I appreciate how thorough they are about making sure donors are healthy and good donation candidates. Also, physical exams are soooooooo much less weird here than other centers I have do
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
