Extremely disappointing experience. The website clearly states that walk-ins are accepted ? that's a lie. I double-checked by reading multiple reviews that confirmed they had no issues recently, so I gave it a shot. I even went the extra mile: I called several times (no one ever picks up), left a message through the contact form on the website, and emailed ? not a single response. Its clean. The staff is nice. I have difficult veins, and it's been almost easy for them. It is almost impossible to get a person on the phone. New people need an appointment for a physical and you have to wait a couple weeks for blood work to come back with results before you can donate. Money always hits right away and card always works.

Came to register as new donor. Tryed to call but no answer. This place is a joke walked in after catching the bus to get here. Just to be told you have to make a appointment as new donor appointments are a week out. They only take new donor between 9 and 11. On the website it say walk -ins welcome. I have been donating here and thi us the BEST.... I have seen some donors complaining about appointments and requirements and etc but they needed thise papers but they don't have it and they became upset and end up making bad reviews. When you come here, bring all needed required it is a breeze. I've been going here for years and have never had any issues or problems. Everyone that works here is extremely nice and pleasant that's why I keep going back, especially Henry. He's always been extremely helpful and I must say that I've come to develop a friendship with all of the employees. Plus I enjoy seeing Henry and talking football with him. New donor pay: The first 4 donations is your new donor pay. Refer to picture posted IMPORTANT: secure your bikes! Double locks! I have already had one bike stolen from this plasma center. This area is full of theft. Cars have been broken into as well! Secure your property! On the flip side the staff is friendly, I've never been bruised and I've been donating here for over 3 years. The speed here varies, if there's staff, it'll go faster, about 10 am nowadays it's dead inside the lobby. A good time to go

I have been donating at hemarus plasma for a good while and their service is topnotch. I experienced several plasma centers here in Jacksonville but hemarus is the best place so far. If you work a normal job Monday through Friday avoid this place. Was going to donate today Saturday after I seen that walk ins are welcome on the website. I have been going to this place off and on for many years. I really enjoy the staff there. The issue I find with this place is they are very inconsistent with their operating hours and will lock the doors early. If a business is not supposed to close until a certain time I find it Unacceptable that when I go 30 minutes before closing, the doors are locked. After trying to contact the center by phone for 2 hours, and after reviewing the website which clearly states ?walk ins welcome? I decided to come looking forward to my first time at Hemarus. After entering I am told that they require an appointment. The male staff member began to get loud and angry because I'm inquiring as to why they don't have that indicated neither on the website or the front door which clearly states walk ins welcome. I asked to speak to a manager whom stated that they have complained.

First staff is friendly especially Henry, Annette and Illyana. Henry is hilarious and treats you like a friend. The only not so great part is pay dropping this month it's already kinda low but dropped again. Should have more contests and incentives for long time donors that have been loyal donors to Hemarus

Went online the night before I went to the local office on Beach boulevard and it explained to me that I can walk in without an appointment that is not the case once I took the day off and walked in I was unable to complete this process because they no longer do that and they refuse to upload new information on the website so I just blew my whole day for nothing.

Love Hemarus out of all the donation places I've been around Jacksonville they have been the most comfortable and fast wait time. They pay very well and the staff is amazing!

The pay has gone up here, this is the best center I've donated with. Octa was kinda ratchet, bio had 2hr+ lines every time I went. Here there's not usually a line, the phleb techs are good at sticking, & I've never had the pay system go down like at the corporate centers. Highly recommended

I've been coming to Hemarus for about 2 years and I will tell you that this is the most cleanest and nicest place I've ever been to. They are very fast and they have the nicest staff around of any plasma place ever! The staff is beyond helpful and willing to make you feel like family verses a number. Henry is the BOMB! Went to this place and it feels like a sauna in the back where people are donating. These places should be super cold to conserve the plasma being taken and its not a safe environment for donors to be donating when its 82 degrees in here. I wouldn't be surprised if a donor passes out today while donating. Its 95 degrees outside and it just keeps getting hotter and hotter in here.

This place is terrible. The bathrooms are trash, no one understands you. (after getting the ok from a medic and walking 2 miles they refused to see me because of the kind of apartment I live in. This place is some bs don't waste your time go to the other guys that pay more.

Ive been to pretty much every plasma place in Jax and this is by far the best. My wait times are usually never long and the people here are the best!! Especially Mini, Betty, iliana, nirvia & the new girl Leo! They really make my visit awesome every time. To be honest if it wasn't for these ladies I don't think I would've been coming back

The worst place to donate... The nurses doesn't provide you the correct information and then they blame you for not knowing their policies (internal policies) I try to talk to the manager but the nurse interfere again blaming for the others nurse mistakes...so...I don't recommend this places at all, besides both times I went the ac either is not working or they don't turn it on and it's uncomfortable to wait all those hours there with this weather...

This was my first time coming in as a new donor. The staff was very courteous and helpful to me. The process from screening to getting stuck was very quick and I personally thank Mrs. Hilda for her compassion and help today. It was a good experience!!!

I came here as a new donor yesterday. After I finished donating my card did not work and I had to wait til the next day for them to issue me a new one. They then charged me for my new card even though they admitted that they handed out faulty cards when I donated. Don't waste your time donating here I wouldn't have even given it a star if it was my choice. Good place to donate but bad place to work. No insurance available, no paid vacation time nor sick leave. No retirement benefits either. Phlebotomists are not wearing their lab coats due to the temperature on the floor runs from 75? to 84? . No shields are worn to protect the employee even though they are in site on the counter. If you try to talk to the owner she takes everything as the employee I disrespectful. The employees are very nice.

I have been going here since January and everyone here is so helpful. I have deep rolling veins and always have issues with blood pressure machines actually giving me results. The nurses are always quick to and happy to help. The floor staff is very attentive and are quick to help should any issues arise and they provide a welcoming environment

Been doing this for 20 years and this i another place I won't go. They make me feel like I should be paying them. Bio life keeps dropping 10$ a week so they can keep it as well. Any place pays 120, but that's how they get there money back from the initial bonus donations

This place sounds horrible & the "owner" is definitely some degree of a narcissistic character, every review he/she responds to is to place blame elsewhere instead of taking accountability for their employees & building codes. So, l have only been twice. My 3rd visit, l waited for 45 minutes or so, the male nurse pulls me to the back room & tells me I have ," antibodies in my blood & because of that, I am not allowed to donate anymore. So, I asked him to explain it to me in layman's terms, & he didn't know WTH he was talking about. The employees were nice but I was very disappointed & upset. I feel like l should have still been able to donate one last time or they could have compensated me just for the long wait!

Nice environment and waiting time is not long. The staff is very nice and does their job adequately. The staff members include Azaria, Elsa, Hilda, Henry, Tyrone, Rey, Ilina, Ajita, Queenie, and Jun. All of these individuals have made my experience at Hemarus smooth and enjoyable. I recommend donating here.

I had a very good experience at this center. They don't pay as much as others, which is the only reason I switched. But other than that I think they are the greatest. It's not stressful and doesn't take up your day. They get you in and out. And people genuinely smile... Probably because they are happily employed here.

The best place to donate plasma in Jacksonville. Clean facility with no long wait times. The nurse Henry and the technician Hilda were both super nice and professional. The staff is always very pleasant & professional. The facility is the cleanest I've ever been to (compared to BPL & Octapharma, those places are TERRIBLE) and the service is above excellent. They open at 8 but let people in early. Everyone was nice and the process was easy. This was my first time donating plasma so it took about 3 1/2 hours from the time I signed in til the time I left. First visit always the longest

I'm a new donor and while my experience was bad in the beginning they did everything to try and correct the issue It was about the wait time and how long it took to be seated. One of the keys to good customer service is to try to understand where the customer frustration is coming from and work towards turning that frustration around. Hemarus did just that they acknowledged there error and worked it out. No one is perfect and I will be back as well as invite others

This is probably the worst place to donate. I've had to ask the phlebotomist to change gloves before touching me after adjusting another persons needle. They don't check vitals completely, and will just put numbers in and lastly not only do majority of the phlebotomist speak a foreign language they will butcher your arm in attempt to get your vein. They're super slow and do everything by paper causing disorganization and displacement of your chart. Go somewhere else.

Great place to visit. Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and skilled at there procedure and I honestly feel safe and comfortable as I'm donating.
