Place is very clean and nurses are very pleasant and explain things in a very well manner. I was low on iron 1% and she told me what needed to be done to fix it. Even though I drove my bicycle 1hour to get here. At least I know what's going on with my body. Red headed nurse was exceptionally pleasant and kind. Thank you again for offering the chance. I will be back once i get my iron levels up!
Nurse Aveona was helpful kind sweet. She made me feel very comfortable. You can tell she enjoys her job and cares about people. She is the best.
Very professional staff. Great energy also they work fast. There's 1 girl she constantly messes up on the needle part which is crucial for what we are here for to donate and earn money?
I'm impressed! The facility is spotless the staff are very helpful and polite! Also a special shout out to Amanda Sanchez assistant manager who went above and beyond to make my sign up process go smoothly.
My visits to this clinic have been nothing but great, it is very well run and the staff are always very nice and helpful. I specifically wanted to mention that Alice does her job very well and takes great care of people under her supervision.
Buffalo facility, worst customer relations. I've been there twice both times turned out to be a waste of time and gas. I donate to help out my community and a few extra bucks is nice. However I do not donate to earn income. Rochester facility was even worse, also been there twice also both times no donation. However my last visit I was talked to so rudely by one of the techs that I will never visit that site again. Customer service and relations is one thing but treating volunteers, such as myself, with n
Octapharma is a much better experience than I could have ever imagined. The staff is very respectful. When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile. If I had any questions, I received assistance ASAP. The process was very easy and quick. The stickers are very gentle, and I cannot forget how clean they are compared to other places I have been. Thank you
Severely understaffed! It takes 3 hours to donate. One hour in line, one waiting to get on the floor and one to donate. Most of people are not very friendly. If you want to get in and out fastest show up at 4:55. They hustle then!
I have went here 3 times now for donating and the experience has been great and easy! Yesterday I was taken care of by Amanda and I was very pleased with the care she takes in her job.
Very professional and clean environment. The employee Diana is fantastic polite friendly and helpful and superior. She always makes sure that the client is very comfortable when donating plasma.
I visit octapharma today and the staff is very friendly. Cecil greeted me soon as I walked in the door and when the phlebotomist Tia stuck me i barely felt it. Great center highly recommend.
Very easy going process I was nervous at first but the environment was so nice and it went well
The Octapharma Plasma location on Sheridan Drive is ridiculously understaffed. The past two times I came in to donate I waited over 2 1/2 hours before I even got sat in a chair. Then I waited another 30 minutes before they started my donation process. They need to hire more people to keep up with the demands of the donors. I do not recommend you come here if you are thinking of donating plasma.
Everyone was nice, I would have loved to donate but veins weren't viable for it. Other than that it is a very clean and nice place.
They are very slow hooking up patients, the wait time is crazy! There's one person screening and one or two sticking, most of the time it's only one and the lines are long! I spent 3hrs there one day a couple weeks ago and I was fuming! When a new donor comes in , they drop everything to take care of them, meanwhile the people in line that have been waiting are still in line, it's a ridiculous policy! It should be by appt only so the staff can be prepared ahead of time!
Great staff. Nurse aveona and phlebotomist Tia and Jessie were great and kind. Took great care of me during my visit.
Staff is very professional and kind. Process was quick for first time donor and very thorough. Facility was very clean.
Will not be visiting this place again . .. had to wait almost an hour after donating to recieve my payment, & only after i complained . Too far a visit for very low unertain pay.
Diana was very professional any question had also came and checked on the frequently I asked who was the one to find my van when no one else could great job Diana
It wouldn't allow me to give zero stars. The last two times I tried to donate, I waited over an hour and a half and still hadn't been called over by a phlebotomist. I left both times without donating. $30 for three hours of my time is a slap in the face. I will look elsewhere to donate. The center on Sheridan is poorly run and under staffed. They don't value their customers or their time.
That the place did not open till well after noon and had an appointment at 11:30. Cannot understand why we were not called and I could not stay to finish the process. Waist of my time.
Octaplasma on Sheridan Dr is amazing. The staff and over presentation of the facility is the definition of professionalism.
Edit #2: 9/25/24 Adding yet another star because when I came in on 9/23/24 they checked my arms and they gave me an info page that I followed to a 'T' post donation! I was able to donate on 9/23. Before I did though, Aye, Center Assistant Director, spoke to me more about how to prevent bruising. She also explained that needle sizes are different (bigger) for plasma donation than going to the regular doctor for blood draws. AND she hand picked Chastidy to do my blood draw. Also, guess who's donating after
Spent 2 hrs on the bed just for $35 and I was trying to understand why . One of the receptionist on the phone deliberately stated that he was just talking saying the same thing over and over again and then just hung up In my face.
It's A Great Experience. They Are A Nice Staff. And Overall better than Other Places ..
I had a very well experience and they made me feel welcome and comfortable ?? Thank you Aveona
Place is clean workers are friendly n decent. Overall they are all good. Amanda had her three times n she was very good n professional.
Scheduled an appointment, did all my prep, got all my materials together, drove across town, only to show up and be told that there was nobody to take my donation and I could "try again tomorrow." Don't waste your time here.
This place has the best staff Aveona is a great nurse she is very informative the phlebotomist Atia along with Jesse are amazing and Chassity the manager is a lot of help I watched her help in every area
It was fast freindly, a gave me a free physical. The procedure was virtualy painless. I was very pleased.
Friendly & attentive staff. Kudos to Diana for having gentle hands while performing the needle insertion. Thumbs up to Olivia for her expertise and knowledge. This is a great place to donate plasma. Centers always clean too, with minimal wait times. Its certainly better than most.
Slowest people ever they intentionally take there time and can give two phucks about the people's time that pay there checks anyway I would ?? NOT GO HERE unless you want to spend 5 hours there
This place was great when I first started donating. The staff was great and had great bed side manners. They've had some turnover, which happens, but these girls are more concerned with chit chatting than getting people in and out. I was there for 3 hours this past time I donated. No one cares about your time. Not to mention they've been rough with sticking you with the needle and ripping it out when you're done.
I loved the way Atia stuck me. She was quick very comfortable to be with, was not rough while sticking me, I didn't even notice she stuck me. I have been here for 2 months and left CSL Plasma because of workers who are like her. Loved her customer service and look forward coming back and refereeing friends and family.
For all I want to set record straight, great staff wonderful staff! I have been a regular for a year twice a week. Excellent at what they do! They have had shortages but it happens and they are training more! Do not go off one time reviews! Look this is volunteer for people and at times you may wait. If you cannot don't go. It is a job for them, and they should be treated with the upmost respect! Great staff!
This place is a joke . I hear the Director of this location doesn't want to hire anymore screeners , having donors wait ridiculous amount of time to get screened and over an hour to get a bed . This place should be ashamed of themselves
Staff is up and down. But overall the staff is great and professional
Great staff the nurse Aveona helped me with my first donation she is very knowledgeable the phlebotomist Atia and Jesse made the process very easy on the floor
The first donation was ok but the second donation was a nightmare. The place is very mismanaged and understaffed.
I didn't know what to expect going in since it was my first time donating. Although my first visit was a lengthy one (3 hours in total), the experience overall was very good. This location was clean, staff was friendly and seemed to all get along with each other, as they joked around as they tended to the patients. As a new donor you do get bumped to the front of the line which is a perk! I plan to return for continued donations.
This is a great place to donate plasma. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly also I've never had a issue donating and the plasma center is in very pristine and clean The are always ready and able to assist you with anything that may arise. Wanted to just add Aye and Roxanne have a great team.
I had a very pleasant experience. Amanda is the bomb!
First Day there the staff was absolutely wonderful especially the nurses in the front for first time donors get, treated upmost respect, they are so clean! Very throughout about the procedures and what is to be expected from the donors, they also walk you through every point you need to know! I would absolutely recommend this place stop Donating at CSL AND GET TO OCTAPHARMA!! THANKS GUYS CONTINUE THE GREAT WORK!!
I always have a great experience at this octapharma they have great staff . There is One Nurse Aveona who also screens who has such a welcoming personality she always very nice, she smiles and just lights up the room if your in the area this is a clean friendly facility
Went for my first time donating on Friday. The whole process of a new donor took roughly 3 hours (including donation). Everyone was so friendly and personable and efficient. The center was extremely clean. Will definitely be going again.
Had issues the last time I was there. I was also a lapsed donor. They got my profile updated, made me feel important and not just a number? It was a pleasant experience compared to my last visit. Thanks for the excellent service!!!!
Horrible customer service nurses and staff have very bad attitudes and have no respect for the people coming to donate I sat for almost 3 hours for a mistake made by staff and they got mad I was frustrated for their mistake will never come here again I'd rather go to CSL on elmwood and if you donate plasma in the area you know how bad that can be
Place is clean professionally , also super clean Tia such a nice employee
I have nothing but positive things to say! Yes, the new patient appointment is very long but everyone was so patient and kind with me. It was the first time donating plasma and I was nervous but the girls all made me so comfortable. I really appreciate that!
I always have a great experience when I donate! The staff are always friendly and attentive, they show that they care about my safety and comfort!! The staff always explain directions of what they are doing while they stick me, and they ask me if it's good! The staff are always professional and kind! They gently tend to me and others thru the whole process and make my donation as comfortable as possible! The staff are always courteous and Kind, very respectful and they have patience and are always kind and
Most days this place is good.. But some days there definitely not enough staff. & then once a month apparently they have training so they open @ 9am? Would be nice if they let their donors know this.. so they don't waste their time going there.
Wonderful people always get in then out. My favorite plasma place.??????
I used to go to CSL plasma and ended up switching to Octapharma. Best decision I've made. The staff here are very friendly and professional, the environment is welcoming and clean. Special recognition to the Assistant Manager by the name of Aye, thank you for your willingness to help and your friendliness. Promotion for Aye? I think so!!
My first initial appointment was very long (3 hours) I was told it was due to staff call offs. However the times since have been quick and efficient. Clean facility, nice staff. Very happy with them.
I went in for my new donor appointment and wasn't acknowledged within 20 minutes, so I left. If I had been told ?take a seat, we'll be with you when we can,? it would have been fine. But I stood there for 20 minutes with not one worker acknowledging my presence.
I visited this facility today as a first time new donor. All staff that I encountered was super pleasant, personable, & professional. The facility was very clean & sanitary including restroom. I would recommend and will be returning!
kind and courteous staff. thank you deja, liz, and aye!
Octapharma Plasma was extremely clean, bright & welcoming. The entire staff was friendly & helpful, ready to make anyone feel at ease & comfortable.
Had a great experience! It was very clean and the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back ??
The staff is so friendly and super supportive. The facility is clean and welcoming. Time is taken to talk you through each step of donating and they are very conscious of the medical standards for a donor and do not deviate from those. I would recommend to anyone!
Tia and dasja did wonderful on the floor shout out to them great service
Aye mis by far the nicest person I've met during plasma donation. Love octopharma!!
Staff is awesome! They seem to have great relationships with the donors. Place is very clean. I know it's not easy to just hire people but they all do seem tired but they do it with a smile!
Made an appointment today for first time donor. They had me watch the video, then asked me to wait. An hour later they had forgotten about me and had not been registered or processed, and it as not very busy. By now it's after 5 and instead of taking my vitals they did a ?vein check? and determined that I wasn't a suitable candidate for today. Felt more like they didn't feel like taking the time to get me through the donation process. It was obviously I would have been the last donor of the day and it defin
Nice caring place, to donate Plama
The people here are so nice. Please hire more people because I can tell they're tired. The lady from Rochester is nice, but she's awful at her job. However, everyone else is so nice and I love talking to them.
They were really nice not to busy
I am a doner at Octapharma, and have never had any issues.
Staff here is pretty good. Never have any issues with them very helpful. The design of this building could be better, lobby has artificial yellow lighting that is far too bright with minimal sunlight coming in. Can be a bit much. I'd say bring headphones as well there is no music and often times a violent show or movie will be playing. Counter productive to people with sensitive nervous systems especially when your pulse is being checked.
Nice staff very helpful and no waiting
there has not been one time I walked in this facility when there wasn't an issue. If it's not the staff being rude and disrespectful it's them giving you an unnecessarily hard time trying to donate. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Any plasma center in buffalo is better than this one, and honestly I would avoid going here at all costs lol.
It's never a long wait when I come and Alice was great and made me feel comfortable
I have had nothing but good experiences here at the Amherst location. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable and have always made me feel comfortable.
The staff at Octapharma Plasma made my experience donating plasma a smooth & fun experience. Their staff is not only friendly but also highly skilled. Efficiency and punctuality are hallmarks of their service. The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable. I was able to get all of their names so they can be acknowledged. Aveona Diana Kathy Shania Yerelis
My first time here the other day - everyone was so friendly and the process was pretty easy! Shoutout to Liz Sophia & Diana
The staff is always great! I go twice a week every week & always feel comfortable and safe? 10/10 would recommend over CSL.
Love this place for donating the first time . I want to thank Yaya -Medical screener Jackie- Nurse Cadeidra- phlebotomist Diana- phlebotomist Chasity- phlebotomist Amanda - phlebotomist Alice- phlebotomist Best people , made me comfortable and laugh .
Asked one of the people I asked to use there bathroom and they had an attitude and was rude about me using there bathroom and said if u r not here to donate u can't use our bathroom. So u need nicer people in ur octoplasma place and not be so mean to there customers.
The facility is ran smoothly and efficiently and is really clean. All of the workers are so friendly and professional and make you feel comfortable. The staff is what keeps me coming back.
So did 3 out of the 4 hour process it requires for first timers and supposedly since iv been to jail in the past year they couldn't accept any donation and banned me until 1 year of my release date ... HA
Cassidy, Elizabeth and Kama are the reason I keep coming back! All the employees are so friendly and kind, it's an extra bonus to even be paid :) I've been able to get in and out every time I come to donate. Very smooth process at Octapharma!!
Pays is good but the huge problem I have is the waiting time and it's because they don't have enough phlebotomists on the floor. Currently been waiting almost 30 mins and there is about 7-8 open machines just empty and only 3 girls working and the waiting area is just filling up while management has a good time laughing in the office and walking around trying to look busy. Will not return I'll take the $10 cut and go to CSL. *UPDATE** After writing this review the office director contacted me and wanted t
They are awesome here. Always making sure you are okay and paying close attention to detail.
Octoplasma is cool like going tw a week
Very nice people. The workers engage the clients and not each other. At my previous site, not octapharma I knew more about their plans than I cared for. I found this company to be professional, kind and skilled. On my 1st time it took 2 hours as compared to nearly 5 at the cheektowaga location of the other company. My whole time spent on my 2nd visit was 1.5 hours as compared to 4. I highly recommend this facility.
Had a good experience very fast didn't have to wait a very long time
Very Awesome experience here than I've ever had at any other plasma centers lots more rewards and huge shout out to Diana K who made me feel very welcomed and comfortable visit smile
Great experience staff name Tia was very patient
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
