The employees are nice. If you are donating plasma, you're not usually allowed to bring visitors inside. Very simple way to make a few bucks, and you might save a life
Unprofessional, racist.Bad stick , it's your fault. You did something wrong.Jewish nurse left. The other nurse white nurse changed hair color from purple to original color , brown.nose ring nurse. ? Really?are you kidding me? this whatever plasma center needs to be shut down.
Been coming here for almost two years and absolutely love the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Its a tough job especially when it gets busy but they are quick, attentive and best of all play some good music lol
I must say going into my first plasma donation I was very nervous, but now that it is done it was a very pleasant experience. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and affordable, and made everything as quick and painless as possible. I am very impressed, and the best part is, they compensate you very well! Perfect to make some extra cash!
Today my visit was uncomfortable and dangerous! Initially things went well but that changed drastically when I got to a bed in the back. The technician named KIMBERLY (black female) gave me attitude immediately after coming to assist me. Shortly after, Kimberly caused harm and bloodshed by jamming the needle in my arm. With that same attitude she called over the manager complaining about me then spent the next hour talking loudly about me to her co worker. Management needs to fix this behavior or simply be
So it's been a while since last donating but I decided to come by this morning since I had time. I checked in and the front desk rep Tyler had to get my height and stated to me,they've been trying to contact me and my phone was disconnected. I started to tell him that's a lie but kept my kool. What's odd is that after checking in,other individuals were checking in and being called to get vitals and go to the back. I spoke to one of the employees Ms Taliyah and what does she tell me? After Tyler got my infor
I really like this place.I love all the people. It's just a nice environment
I probably won't be donating at this facility for long. If you care about my concerns feel free to reach out.
False advertising. I was told one thing then told something else later. Long wait times. I will never go back.
So I'm gonna have to update my review again. The wait times are still way better and I can get in and out within an hour and a half most days. The staff are very kind and there's really a family kind of vibe when you're there. This is the best center I've been to out of three over the past 7-8 years as far as wait times and staff, cleanliness etc. I do find it pretty annoying that they recently lowered the donation amount and didn't even give a heads up. They knocked $20 off the second donation, I had to c
I have O.I. (glass bone disease). For that reason I feel like this plasma center has discriminated against me. It was way back in August when I first registered to see if I was an eligible donor to help people who are similar to me. I was honest during screening about my chronic disability. Just like at every other Plasma Center I had been too previously. They stated that they had to check with their medical director to see if it was safe for me to donate and if I would require any extra needs. An honor
I had previously given them a 3 star review due to the long wait times I experienced on Sundays. But I'm bumping to 5 stars after they reached out to me and I had a great experience talking to one of their managers. Overall notes that will hopefully help anyone going: - The shortest guaranteed wait time you can probably get is by going about 30 mins before opening and standing in line - Wait times can be long, especially during peak hours. Consider bringing a healthy snack just in case - They actually acce
I've been to multiple donation centers in the area, and this one is the best. The staff has always been friendly and professional, and the staff in the back really know what they are doing. I've gone to Biolife & octapharma and when it comes to the "sticking" process, the staff at Grifols are the best. Other places it is very painful and I've had to be restuck and have been left with bruising and felt awful afterwards. But somehow, at Grifols the 4 times I've been so far (with a different person sticking me
This place has gone WAY downhill. My wife and I started donating here in 2019. The place would be packed with people but they'd still get you in and out in around 2 hours. The payout was decent (45 & 100) and they even had a VIP fast pass system for those willing to pay a premium to jump the line. It was great but as time went on they kept making changes that seemed beneficial but actually made the experience worse. They eliminated the paid VIP pass. They quit accepting walk-ins. They lowered the payout to
The staff is nice and they pay higher than other plasma places, but in my opinion it's not worth the horrid wait times. I can excuse a two hour wait before being put on a bed during peak hours. Having said that, I find it kinda hard to excuse waiting another hour after being put on a bed (honestly I just cut my losses and walked out so no clue how much longer I would have actually waited) To my knowledge there was nothing insane like a medical emergency or anything that could have justified the extended wai
Amazing staff. With the amount of people who come through here, they still take the time to put your name to your face. I never even make it to the counter before they say "I got you." They take the time interact with you while you're donating and provide a relaxed atmosphere. I always enjoy coming here. That's customer service!
Went to other places kept telling me I was hard stick been going here 2 years no problem .
Corporate does not appreciate donors who are over 69 years of age as corporate will not allow them to donate anymore even if ones family doctor claims that they are healthy enough to donate. Corporate has some insane rules and regulations that are causing donors to donate at their competitors. Their employees do not even think that corporate is making good decisions. Needless to say, I am not happy with the new guidelines. I have over 300 donations at this center and this is how I am treated because
People here are nice, the money you get for donating is not bad. However, it's takes an hour or more to even get hooked up and the workers rather stand around and talk than do their job. It's irritating because I spend 2.5 hours here. Other places take half the time. This lady hates her job and it shows.
I love coming here everyone is always so friendly. They always make you feel at home. Special shout out to all the staff because they really worked together last night when I was there?it was very busy awesome teamwork!!
Overall, donating is a pleasant experience. Staff is well mannered. Facilities are maintained to a minimum. The downside is the computers that are used to answer your questions are in need of repair. I really don't see advantages of making an appointment as the wait times as compared to a walk-in are virtually the same. Several times I have had to go to front desk to "remind" the staff that I am waiting. (Not saying the staff is unpleasant, but they definitely don't seem very attentive or organized.
I have nothing but positive comments to say about the staff, from the front counter to the donor floor. They have ALWAYS been very welcoming and friendly towards me and anyone I've recommended go there. I'm happy to be able to help out and get benefits from it as well. Keep up the GREAT job guys??
It's a great plasma center. Stuff is every nice and they take care of everyone who comes there. They treat you like family! I never had any problem's with anything. I been going there for years. And if anyone has a problem they always take care of it. It's the best and cleanest plasma center in Augusta Georgia.
I would give it 5 star but I been 3 times and twice had to call or go back to center because they didn't put money on my card and put wrong amount. I'm going to go to a different center. The 3 stars are for the working staff. They are great and the security guy is very professional.
I went in today to give plasma and the screener Hilda called me back. Normally I don't go to her because of some stuff that happened in the past. Well beings that they were slower today and short staffed, I went to her anyway. She done my temperature and claimed that it was 99.6 and I couldn't donate. Now remind you after she made that claim I went directly to the nurse and asked her to feel my head and even she agreed that I didn't feel like I was running any kind of fever. I have been coming to this plasm
I had previously given 2 stars due to poor employees work ethics. I was pleasantly surprised by one phlebotomist who gave excellent service during my last visit. This young lady was very professional, amicable, customer focused and didn't subscribe to all the shanigans that her peers were participating in. Although quite tall in stature she has the heart of a true professional that cared about her donors through the process. Management is also quite involved and has their eye on the organizations culture
I get here before they open to get in line and still have to wait because of VIPs. I made an appointment for 9:30 and didn't get called to the booth till 11. I asked them what's the point of an appointment and I was told it was just to get through the sign in process better. There is also an employee names VIVi that is very ride and Other than those issues it's not a bad place...but $40 pays outs aren't worth the wait and hassle you go through.
I've been coming here approximately about a month. Sometimes the wait can be quite long, but the staff is great. Loughlin, Bryan, Brittany, Connie and of course I can't forget about Mark, their security personnel. Keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen.
Very disappointed in this new system. It's only making things worse! Got there at 5:20pm and appointment was 530pm and front desk clerk said I couldnt check till 530pm which is stupid. Not going to get many donors in this way. When I check in at 530pm I still had to wake another hour before I could get in the back
Staff in the back is always great and do not get upset if you ask for a different Phlebotomist. Donations usually go pretty quick. Very clean! However, there is one girl who works the front desk that tells people where to sit! Why does it matter where we sit when we come in?
Never EVER go here! Scheduling an appointment doesn't mean anything your stuck waiting 2 to 3 hours to be seen and nobody cares if you have a life or not! This place needs to be under new management because it honestly makes no sense to wait a very long time to be seen! But hey if you don't mind waiting up to 5 hours to be done and leave then this is the place for you!
I love giving and knowing I could help another human being. All the Employees are awesome, security, check ins, Ms. Anne, KK, AK, Autumn, Dior, Jennifer on and on very grateful for you guys. The money is a blessing as well.
Sometimes waits can be lengthy and occasionally donation is really uncomfortable bc sometimes the machines are set too high or they jam the needle in there way further than seems necessary and I'll have to undergo a readjustment but this staff really works super hard and I know they're doing their best. Everyone is always really cool there.
I absolutely love coming here. The staff are professional, personal, and extremely helpful. The centers hours of operation make it super convenient for everyone to have the opportunity to donate plasma. Making a little extra cash is always a plus, however, the satisfaction of helping others is priceless. I have to say this is one of my favorite pass times. Thank you Biotest for the opportunity to make a small difference.
Horrible wait times even if you make an appointment online. More than 2.5 hours before even getting screened. Other times I have waited 4 hours just to get screened on top of the time to actually donate. The other people waiting were rude and loud. Dropping profanity and racist racis comments. Most of the staff has an attitude problem. The different sections have no clue what the others are doing. The employees openly complain about the work environment.
One gets in and out very quickly as they honor your appointment times. Would like to thank Heather, one of the managers for her time explaining the ranges as to what is acceptable and what is not in regard to a protein check. She also explained the five categories that relate to the enhanced protein check. She truly cares about the donors and will go out of her way to help any way that she can. Thanks again for your time.
I had a great experience here. The staff was friendly and kind. It was my first time donating and I was in an out in 2 hrs and 15 minutes. I made an appointment online on their website before going. They check your iron and protein levels before donating to make sure you are eligible. You also need your social security card and driver's license for the first time donating. The first three donations you get $75 loaded onto a debit card but they give you that is only loadable by them. After that from what I'v
I don't know exactly why it took me 2.5 hours to get stuck. Turns out I didn't needed to see a nurse. At least they did Speak to me this time. They didn't make excuses like they usually do and genuinely wanted to make the situation right and seems to have plans for improvement. They even assured me that it wouldn't happened again and if I have any problems in the future to speak to their management team immediately. All I ask for is to improve and get it right so I will give them another chance. I will gi
My friends and I have been going to Biomat for a long time. We speak with the security guard about his passed military experience. We all love Mrs. Ann. Most of all we don't feel like customers. We feel like family. You can not get that feeling anywhere else and for that I am very grateful.
It's not worth the time for the money. I am a existing donor and after sitting there for an hour in the back I was finally about to get set up. It would take 45 minutes to donate so almost 2 hours of my life for a peanut payment. No thanks. I will not be returning. Tried again after years just to be cheated or off the new dunst payment.
Very bias business, they don't treat everyone the same. Their policy's and stipulations only apply to whom they want. The bad thing is they don't care who notices it or who see it. Their are some genuine good people who work here, but their are some sheep in wolves clothing also, and the pack is deep. The good people there make it pleasurable. The devil is definitely busy in this place, if they are not careful they are going to be in a lot of trouble if they don't start watching some of these people who wor
After visiting for the first time to get an appointment they reviewed my paperwork and approved. Returned the next day for the meeting. They said the paperwork would not be accepted only after I got back to the room. Waisted a half a day. Very unprofessional! The level of customer service is terrible. Ones has to question their compantancey.
The staff is very professional and caring. They do everything within reason to ensure you have a positive experience. The facilities are well maintained. I'd recommend you schedule your new donor appointment today.
I have only donated once last week and I had to wait 4 hours and 45 minutes before they finally took me back. I thought that maybe it only takes this long if you are a first time donor, but I went back today to give it a second chance thinking it might take only 2 hours or less, but I was still waiting at the 3 hour mark so I walked out. Now don't get me wrong because the staff is very friendly but with that said, I wonder how people can wait so long without having something to eat before donating Plasma.
I'm not going to reveal myself but I'm going to give five stars due to some of the staff members that I have come in contact with who keeps me laughing. But, there is one young girl named Janaya always speaking ill on other staff members to other donors and I don't like that. I heard her talking so bad about other staff members to another donor while I was donating and it was awful. She is bringing the morale down at the center.
If you make an appointment your experience here will be faster the place is clean and staff is hard working but I must say a few stands out from the rest I do appreciate Mary Danesha Matthew Chris Oliver Patrick Cassandra these are staff that I've seen and experienced to be so kind hard working focused professional serious about the the clients that come they make the experience all the better I Thank them all !! MS. Pennie is awesome sauce her character gives me hope for this world I think she is the sweet
Quick and easy way to get a little extra money for whatever you need it for. The process takes about 1 1/2 - 3 hours. The people are friendly And always smile when talking to you so you'll feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door
The staff is amazing, as always. However, every time I come in there is always one donor that hasn't showered that you can smell across the room. This last time the screens where filthy and the bathroom, as always, had no paper towels and were trashed. If you can put up with the other donors it's a good way to make some extra cash. Just bring hand sanitizer, your own paper towels, and be ready to smell a lot of random body odor.
Frfr I love this place, the staff are awesome and they pay well and are very friendly. I stay 3 to 4 hours each visit but I watch movies so the time doesn't bother me. Love you guys keep up the good work. Peach orchard biotest rocks!!!
Most everyone is nice here. Jessica remembers my name every time I come in, Greg makes me feel at home in the plasma donation chair, and Dana is so funny and friendly. I really look forward to coming to donate plasma for a good cause and getting treated well as I do so. Yes it takes about 2 hrs to get in and out, even if you have an appointment... but it is for a good cause. Just bring a book, a blanket, and your music and relax!
Biotest has always been a good place to me.... Having the opportunity to Help others and make some extra cash is always a bonus!!! Lol ?? the environment is very clean and the staff is Friendly... during the times of really busy periods they have pretty cool incentives to help the wait go by... like games and trivia which you can win cool lil prizes. Even as busy as they are the Regional Manager Tricia finds time to come out and greet us asking if we need anything with a smile also while helping the staff o
Called to see if they took walk ins, said they did as long as I got there before 5pm.. I got there at 4:20, they tell me I would have to wait about 5hrs (keep in mind they close at 7p) before I could be able to donate. I'm like this could have been said over the phone before I came from Aiken.. they really got to keep their word and mean what they say.. I won't come back simply because of misinformation. That is not how u do business.
Wish they opened at 6am Mon-Fri for those of us with day jobs like other plasma donation centers in Augusta. Would make it a lot easier for me to donate before work and not worry so much about how long it takes to get in a chair. But overall, the staff is friendly and mostly efficient. There are a few people who shuffle instead of hustle, which is frustrating; but, isn't that the same struggle every business goes through? The center is always clean; if it wasn't clean, I would go to another center. Before
used to be my favorite place to donate but the last times ive been here has been ridiculous ive had to wait 2 hours each time just to get the process started and i sit and wait and watch as the employees skip over me and i just dont think its a place for me anymore 3 years ive been coming here but im done its just a joke
These people are slow as hell. I've been going here since it open up and the staff are getting slower and slower. They need to get rid of appointments and vip and let people walk in only. First come first served bases only and get more staff who care about getting people in and out fast and they need to use all the beds and not just partial they need me to run this place I'll get the job done right
Great place to go if you want to spend your whole day sitting in a waiting area. Doesn't matter if you have an appointment or not be prepared to spend at least 5 hours there to even get called back and another hour or so to get stuck then machines keep stopping. Dont care how bad I need money I wont go back there.
The receptionist that answered the phone refused to answer questions about the plasma process. She insisted that they only answer questions about the process in person at the center. Considering I live 45 mins away, I will just donate to a different center that actually answers questions when they get calls.
The staff is usually always friendly I've never really had an issue . I do believe now that they're operating by appointments only that the process is alot smoother and I get in and out alot quicker . I think in the area that the center is in that alot of the issues may be coming from walk ins .
Never seen such a poorly operated facility. Slow workers that stand around talk too much. Absolutely unacceptable for ppl to sit here for 5 hours and still waiting. HORRIBLE!!! Big shout out to James for being sweet as always! I gave 5 stars bc James is awesome!!
The staff stands around talking to each other. I was finished donating, but wasn't disconnected from machine for almost 10 minutes because staff was cutting up with each other. I FINALLY got someone's attention and was aggressively taken off machine. I started to bleed out of bandage, and was told it was MY fault for not putting pressure on arm. Excuse me? If you didn't jerk needle out of my arm, and took time to bandage me properly, this wouldn't have happened. However, when I addressed my concerns, James
One of the best plasma centers I have been to by far staff is great wait time could be a little better but as a long time standing donor since 2015 I do know that they move as fast as they could Autumn and Brandy and Sam are hands down are the best phlebotomist they very understanding and care about their donors great job ladies keep up the great work ??Gigi
Front office staff is great but the people doing the sticking and blood work are horrible. I asked for a specific person to take my blood and they gossiped about me and mistreated me during the whole donation process. Apparently a smoke break was more important then I was.
I am happy to donate and get extra money! The people that work here are so friendly. I made $175 today! I recommend this place for anyone need a quick buck
Was an excellent place to donate. Wait times seemed to be a little long
I have been coming here since 2017-ish. But will definitely be finding another donation place after tonight. Donated plasma this evening around 7:30 PM. After donating , I pass the manager's office that has their door wide open with two people inside. I go out to my car, but as I go to drive off: I notice my arm is spewing out blood. Never happened before-freaked out. I immediately park the car and go back. The door is locked (around 8:30 PM). I'm knocking on the door to get help/ someone's attention. T
They are very professional. I go on a daily basis. But some of the workers can and need to work on their attitudes. Other than that if I could i would give them a 10.Keep up the hood work.
The Augusta Georgia center used to be a pleasant place to visit and donate. Its gotten to be not so great. I have high blood pressure, but it is regulated. They was telling me sometime back that my blood pressure was up almost every time I go in their. Before I leave home my bottom number would read some times in the low 80's to mid 90's. I live approximately 1min 15 seconds from the center, mind you I drive to this place so that my blood pressure would not be high. It got to where I complained a couple of
Came in as a returning donor after almost a year and they refused to let me donate saying they would only take me as a sample. I feel like this was because they did not want to see any more new donors. There was no reason they could not take a sample and still allow me to donate. People I know who go there even said that was weird and it was like they wanted a reason to get me out the door since processing return/new donors take more time. I will go to a different center in the future. It is always somethin
DO NOT GO HERE! Was not worth the 75$ they give you on an atm card. They messed up both my arms trying to stick me. One of the scariest experiences of my life was watching my arm blow up like a balloon! Had to go home and rest rotating hot and cold packs. It is now days later and both arms are all bruised up and hurting.
Amazing staff, there very fast with getting people in an out, and there reward system is awesome. Just an overall great place to help others and yourself. Would recommend this over any other plasma center I've been to. Keep up the great work guys.
I loved my visit!! I'm Always A Tough Sticker But Mrs Naomi Was By Far The Best Person. I Would Definetly Refer Her. She Has Short Blonde Hair . She Was Awesome !! Smiling , Joking , & Caring Describes Her !! I Am A Complete Stranger And She Acted As If She Knew Me For Quite Some Time . Glad I Met Her Today . THANKS MRS NAOMI
I was denied donation bc i took melatonin 3 months ago. The nurse there is ignorant. I went there to help a buddy. But because of her incompetence they will never see me again, i will take my healthy business elsewhere
My first time today going, was very nervous, until I got there the staff was super amazing very caring, and so sweet, I wish I got all of there names that helped me thru the process because they was so nice and helped calm me just by talking m through it and tell me all the details, I do remember one lady's name that was hooking me to the machine her name was brandy and she was so gental and so sweet, I'll definitely stick with this place, if I decide to go back, I recommend this place 10/10 they will t
It makes no sense how you set appointment and you're not pulled to donate til a hour & 30 mins later. Been here since 8:16 it's almost 10 am like da hell?
Where do I start??? I honestly love donating at Biotest of Augusta! The money is secondary to me! I actually look foward to being there and knowing I'm helping someone somewhere! The staff is amazing! I don't care what you may hear saying otherwise! Cause honestly I've seen them deal with a lot of stress at times and not everyone notices how hard they work and the effort they put in to making it the best exsperience they can for the doner! They ones that are there truly wanna be there! Some doners can be r
I recently started donating plasma here and the staff is nice and they are always in aedical mind of thinking. I don't have to worry about anything from when I enter to when I leave.they do have a strict no tolerance policy and I have seen it in effect to take care of the donator and them selves. I will be coming back to donate again and see the friendly curtious staff.
I see you can't even keep your donors safe! Remember all the concerns, and employees asking for metal detectors? Remember disregarding aggressive behavior when employees addressed it too management, just so you can collect a bottle of liquid gold, as you guys called it!! Good job guys, now you got blood on ya hands!!!
Although the wait times are a little long, the staff is always nice and greet you. If the wait times could go down some more this place would be a breeze. Still recommend it though.
Very friendly staff, that treat you like family. They make sure that you are comfortable during your visit. I was referred by a friend. Glad my donation can help someone else.
I love this place. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. They are typically very fast in what they have to do and i always find it fun and entertaining when i come in!
it was awesome. i prefer going here than biomat. people at biomat are a lot meaner and make you feel like your not wanted. the environment here is great and the techs are very friendly. sometimes it take long to finish up,but them being nice makes up for it.
The only thing I like is the money that's if I don't end up walking out because of how they conduct the name calling for questions And then the scale then the booth then the chair. It's like an hour in between each step. I've been here since 9 they opened at 9 and I'm still sitting here haven't done my questions. Smh. Then this VIP thing is Bs so that means I'm less important to his name just because the sheet he signs even tho I've Been here for an hour before him. Shouldn't we all be considered VIP since
75 dollars a piece for first 3 donations took about 3 hours to first time only shoot taking an hour and 15 minutes this time.
Yeah I go there to earn extra money I know that I'm helping someone when I do but that's not why I go there so I found it very strange when one of the workers told me that the people who are coming there for money shouldn't because that's the wrong reasons on top of that I actually been there about 4 or 5 times already on this particular day what I was experiencing was vibrations and pain in my arm when I asked the lady to take me off of the machines she did not I told her the money was no longer worth the
I had wonderful experienc with cora brown aka .cruz. thank you for your kindness . She is the best. Thank You naomi also for giving me my ball back when it fell ??????Cice. Is my number one wife and jojo's amazing and sweet .Cora up front is wonderful to me i miss miss ann so much she is wonderful to me my very 1st lady .Ann Butler.
Awesome dedicated staff. I have been donating a couple of years now on a regular basis. I encourage anyone thinking of donating to try Biotest! Ann,Roxy, Heather is my favorite to visit..
Cruz is the best .. Every time i get in the chair i want her to give me the neddle or Sam of course.. Sylvia was also great today.. Very helpful.. Best experience ever today.
They have good service. I love to help save lives. Plus whatever lil $$ u get here helps pay the bills, or may help with gas. I need it like everyone else sometimes.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
