Hello, been coming here for awhile now and the staff is great and all, my only concern would be the wait on the bed to get started and the employees on the floor just walking around talking to each other and taking their sweet time, I mean leaving a person on a bed for almost 30 minutes just to get stick is ridiculous oh and when they call your name and you don't hear them , well let me speak on one particular female that said "well that's why they should clean their ears" and they could hear. That was not
My first visit it was great that people are very nice the security guard very nice he looks out for you and does his job too. I got on the floor and the phlebotomist she was very sweet and supervisor was on the floor doing her job helping out on the floor to make sure things move along. So I had a pretty good visit.
Ive been donating here since this location as opened up. Never had i had an issue but these last two moths have been horrible. If you complain to the office about their staff they will stick you and bruise you. And I have proof, with pictures and they give me a hard time about this bruise that they caused And they calin to write an incident report yet there isnt one???? Oh but there is a report about me when i told management that their staff is rude. Dont get me wrong most of the employees are cool but so
Man this place is ridiculous. They have people waiting for a bed forever meanwhile it's 20 beds empty. They are definitely messing up this companies money with very low moral and zero motivation dragging their feet. You can tell they're here to just ride the clock. . The line for vitals is ALWAYS slow as hell. You can tell these people have to sense of urgency. Definitely the slowest plasma center in Houston. 3 hours to donate AND ITS 6 people sticking donors? Come. On!
All the employees and management are always on point. I really appreciate Jasmine who was really on her game today. I come here often, and I never had not one problem here. Thank you to the whole staff.
It's a good plasm center. I've been going here for about 5 years now. The pay is always top 2 . Staff is friendly and helpful! I would recommend Octapharma to everyone wanting to donate plasma!
GOD BLESS THE STAFF AT THE LITTLE YORK LOCATION!!!! especially TOINETTE!!! I don't think I've ever seen her without smiling...she has the perfect attitude..and even when she is busy .she goes out of her way to help me when needed..she has the right touch and has a certain quality that that just puts you at ease. SHE DESERVES A RAISE AND SHE NEEDS TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR HER KIND WAYS . JASMINE is also an angel!! She's very kind.. everyone there works so hard... again GOD BLESS THE STAFF AT THE LITTLE YORK LOC
It seems like this place has a shortage of employees. There's rarely more than 1 person doing the finger blood screenings and the average wait time to get to it is 20-30 minutes. It seems like theres only 2 employees on the donation floor and the wait is 30-50 minutes to be sat at a chair and then another 10-20 minutes to start the donation process which usually takes around 40-1 hour as well.
Staff very nice . But they talk a lot and dont hurry up .pls b professional and do ur job u can talk and gossip during ur break lol I've been sitting for the past 45 minutes and I still haven't got stick, they just talking and talking walking slow ???? been here since 1 pm . It's been 3 half hrs . I'm not a new donor what's goin on?? ??
Gave me a very ugly mean look upon my first visit here. I was donating blood when he made me feel discriminated and uncomfortable. Definitely will not be returning to this location.
Sat in donor chair over an hour. Never happened to me before. Needs to hire more/ fire current staff. They talked to each other more than they tend to patients. Completely unacceptable. They act like they don't want to be there
The staff members at Octapharma were diligent, helpful, reassuring, respectful and pleasant to interact with. My first donation went so smoothly! Looking forward toy next donation with them. Shout out to Emily and Miguel!
Very nice caring staff ?? they are very clean and the manager Ms.Dee is always out on the floor working with the employees so the process goes smoothly BEST OF ALL THE PAY IS NEVER LATE AND ALWAYS POSTED WHEN I LEAVE MY APPOINTMENT ????
Arrived promptly at 11am but left at 1 pm without giving anything. Website states a 1-2 hr wait but after 2 hrs of lab coats walking around talking to each other and still hadn't went thru a physical, I figured it wasn't worth 4 hrs out of my day X 8 days for $65.
The service that you guys provide on most days puts a smile on my face. Truthfully your customer service and professionalism is an absolute excellent example for humanity and service that I ever seen. The patience kindness and respect given to me as a long term donor is the highlight of my showing me how treat people in general and show compassion commitment and courtesy in every day life. Thank you guys thank you guys so much!!!
The employees do a great job here but The facility on Little York in Houston Tx is too small and the kiosks inside are super slow. Many of us have been waiting over an hour to donate. If it takes me less than an hour to donate why would I want to wait over an hour just to do it? Been waiting almost 2 hours
This place is incredibly organized, spotless, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming! The donation process is quick and efficient, even when they're busy. They've perfected the system, making it easy to donate in no time. If you're someone who loves giving back and helping those in need of plasma?plus getting rewarded for your time?this is the perfect place to do it! Highly recommend!
Good til the end. I needed to use the restroom possibly due to my efforts to be hydrated. I understand the policies and reasoning behind denying me. I waited as long as possible before making my request, at 80% & the at 90% I was told at first, I won't get any compensation, the second time that I won't get there full compensation. I finally said that's fine because I didn't want to have an 'accident' on myself. Now I am weighing my options if I"FEE'I'm not hydrated enough. Risk being turned away, or receive
Always feel safe and at peace with these wonderful group of caring people I come back always to see my friends, plus I get paid it's great....
Ashanti ,Cam,Tamekia, and Ms Netta are among the most terrific souls always in good spirits as well as the other staff members they are hard working as well they rock good place 2 experience great kindness when helping others
This Is A Very Nice Place Employee Are Very Nice And Welcoming Toward You Helps If It's Needed..They Are Fast Paced. Majority Of The Workers On The Floor Are Very Good Sticker Such As Miss B,Kam,Ms.yetta & Many More.
My experience was a very pleasant one. The staff was very courteous and professional. Looking forward to donating again.
This place is awesome wouldn't go anywhere else,When you do come asked for the StickMaster (AKA) Mrs.B she is the best she can find any thing even when other center say no come her and I bet 100 on her she will have you donating.. So thus is the place to go and when Mrs.B not on the floor the floor get messed up and workers stop working....So make sure she is in the building you want to get a good donating..Thanks Little Rock...
This protein sample test results wait is Bogus, 2 weeks for results is ridiculous, then you're left with 15 days, if that to try and get proper compensation as the pay outs says 1st $75, 2nd $125, 3rd $75, 4th $75, 5th $75, 6th $75 7th $75, but you won't bc you can't donate no more than 2x a week, meaning pay is reduced drastically, when you can acquire the same results from your PCP in less than 24hrs, but it's not allowed bc their skimming people plasma donation payments.
The place is clean and well maintained the staff are friendly and it is a quick process. Make sure you drink plenty of water before and the day of.
Staff was friendly, even the security guard.gentle when sticking for the donation of plasma, very attentive,& the process wasn't long of a wait, pay was decent, would highly recommend, overall had a good experience.
Tamika was amazing! I had a reaction during the process, which is not abnormal, and she knew exactly what to do and how to help me. She was honestly the best part of all of my visits and the reason they are getting 4 stars instead of 3.
They pay well it's the wait time fa me....da line long as hell...waiting on da bed be long....and wen u get on da bed it's even longer it b 3 hours getting outta here....I kme in here at 5 I'm still waiting on a bed
I love this place. They are quick in and out process. And also they are very kind.
Got discriminated against. Techs kept asking if I was high or asleep. I cannot help my genetic heritage of having very narrow eyes. These techs need severe training on racial diversity
It was great easy process and the staff was very nice and respectful. I would recommend anyone who wants to donate go to Octapharma.
It's was very Professional and everyone was very nice ?? and made me ?? feel good.
Great customer service, but all the testing they do is too strict!!! Very anal and too strict on the intake side. I wasted my time and gas.
I enjoy donating at octapharma over on Littleyork because of the workers, they are nice and courteous. And also, they play nice soothing music, which sets the atmosphere for a better mood wi th the donors. It don't get no better than that.
I went to my second donation and I was there from 11:00 am-2:10 pm. It was longer wait than my first visit. Also I had trouble with not being able to complete questions on my phone so I had to use kiosk which is very slow. Facility needs to improve kiosk. Also should have appointments instead of first come first serve option.
These are very caring people always focusing on our comfort , I feel safe in their hands.Thank you fir the people that works for Octaplasma.
ITS ONE OF THE TOPS PLASMA CENTERS I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO.THERE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT IS VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH THE CARING FOR THE DONORS AND THE BUILDING IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED WITH PROPER SANITATION FOR EVERYONES SAFTY
All I can say outstanding work very friendly staff, Julieta?? helped me a lot during my donation thank you so much blessings ????
Easy entry process diligently follow up process to reentry process and comfortable engagement between clients and staff
They messed up my machine by leaving a kink in the hose and deferred me for 56 days because they kept my blood platelets. All that is standard but the one star rating is because they didn't extend the new donor benefits through the deferral which is standard practice at other companies like BioLife and CSL. ** update - I contacted the location like the response to this review asked me too and they just took down my info and never called back so that was a waste of time also**
Everyone was nice polite and very courteous. Made me feel very comfortable with the whole process
I love the experience in this particular location. The staff is always positive and they take their time to make sure every patient is comfortable.
For my first time. They made me comfortable and relax.. they was fast as far as getting you in and out.. the staff is wonderful .
The staff is kind, the phlebotomists are skilled so the first puncture is accurate. $60 then after 7 donations $90 If you download the app and complete the questionnaire before you get there, the process is faster AND you earn points towards "Free Gift Cards"
Money is good, but way understaffed. There are 4 stations, but there are only 1 or AT MOST 2 people working there...
It's good and all, but I've been waiting 30 mins in the donor chair for someone to hook me up and they only have one person working at the line that pricks your finger.
I would like to say the ppl that I have dealt with that are worth my time at this center in my 2 years donating here are Jesse and nikeisha ,Lexy, antonnete and juletta and one more miss B I'll say the these 6 employees deserve a raise and to be promoted.
Octapharma Plasma is a great place to donate plasma. If you ever consider donating go there. The staff are thought ,caring, and will answer any and all questions that you have with experience.
Always a great experience every time I come.
Staff works on a system that keeps donors and staff, moving and steady flow. No one feels overwhelmed.
Very messy and unprofessional in such a setting. These people just stick you with minimal care. They stand around and gossip about other clients in the presence of a client. A very uncomfortable environment to be conducting such business. I'll be one less concern. No more for this location
Friendly staff, process is slow , there only one screener at most two but this is ridiculous because if I step out of line to pee I'm going to have to start all over again they just moving slow for no reason my accounts for octapharma haven't been working when I use my points to purchase things for my daughter like gift cards I have to wait weeks to receive it I don't mind coming here they just gotta step they game up got all these employees but....
It's pretty nice. Pretty fast but the end could be better. They could move a little faster and watch for the green lights. I like the staff. They're cool. By the way, security has no reason or right to enter the girls restroom until all first have left unless a threat is present. Seeing that made me feel very bad for women.
Very fast and easy most days in and out real clean and professional
Great experience friendly staff considerate and very knowledgeable about the blood plasma donation process. Felt very welcomed there I'm definitely going to returning to the Little York Road location in Houston Texas!!!
The experience was awesome it went by pretty fast took me about 2 hrs to complete the whole process for new a donor
First time i've been disappointed by Octapharma. This locatio. Had way too few staff, screening went OK but wait to be hooked up once in the chair and unhooked when done were much longer than any other center. This appt took over 2 hours. I travel the U.S. so have many Octapharma locations to compare to. Also, my app promised $70 vs $65 received so no bueno... Oh well, try another location soon.
Downgrading stars due to center ( not ) open at 630am as stated. It is now 733am...with about 20+ plus people out in the sidewalk. No idea of when it will open. Unacceptable !!!!
I love coming to this octapharma .. the employees are really nice but CICI was exceptional at her job . She was very informative and friendly and was very fast and gentle at her sticks . Amazing woman !!! 10/10 experience :)
I have been coming to Octapharma Plasma for nearly 2 yrs now and the staff are amazing very kind and so polite. I certainly have some favorites on who can pierce me with the needle like, "Julieta" but if you don't want to feel a sting one bit, "Miguel" is the specialist you go to!
I really think the two Hispanics that work there Miguel and Emily are racist cause every time I get screen but them they turn me around either my iron are protein is off by one are two numbers and know it's facts cause the next day I get cleared and don't change nothing in my diet it's crazy but I'm good cause I give it to God he hit harder than I could..other than that I love the other staff shots out too the winning team.Love Mrs.Jones,Miss queen Bee.Cam and the rest of the team who works together to ma
Overall good place. Fast and efficient unless you get this young Hispanic lady with tattoos all up her neck to her chin. She keeps her hair in a pony tail. She attempted to lie and say I was otp but luckily my phone was at a charging station. She also is half training a new employee and is very frustrated. Everyone knows her she's the only one with tattoos up to her chin to make things easy to identify your employee. I spoke with Mr. Nick. I have high hopes he'll do the right thing and let her go!!! Overall
Jesse and Nikiesha, Cholo " Juliet ", Super Marcus Styles, School Teacher " Toninette ", Ms. B is the only ones here that knows how to stick and do a awesome ?? job!!!
The staff was awesome very nice and professional THANK Y'ALL I'LL BE GOING BACK
A good service, they are very friendly
I really enjoyed the staff, so different than the other place. They really interact with us. I'm going back today cant wait! Walk ins welcome, line moves fast too. Professional phlebotomists with a sense of humor...
Ms. Tamika sticks me well. I don't get a yellow light during the whole process. Great staff , they are polite.
It was ok some staff could work on attitudes but it was different will come again
My donation felt safe and comfortable. ??
Never a good experience! Unexperienced tech to rude staff.
Emily always has a smile and is always respectful, kind and communicative, I always feel warmly welcomed and it puts me at ease, (relaxed) . She inspires me to become a medical screener and Mr. Christian always has a smile and inspires in me insecurity and fear meaning (reverence) RESPECT, referring that I will always need superiors to help me in the right direction , because they know better and more than I do and are professional.I am happy Mr. Christian and Emily are always excellent communicators and I
This location is super great I got in and got done stag was very friendly and professional to me. I love the pay they offer and the rewards also there are some staff that just went above and beyond Ms B Ms Fran Marcus and one more but I have to get name when I go back she did my physical I just forgot her name but Umm I loved my experience I had no issues with this place or there staff. ??
Ms. B is a great center manger that got an our fast and easy.
People were friendly because it was my first time it took forever just to get registered but overall it was fine.
It's ok most of the time. But can be kinda slow progress sometimes.
The place was very clean and the staff was so friendly. They made sure they talked me thru every process of the donation. It was my first time to donate. And i definitely will go back.
I will like to know. How much they pay for a first time donor
Screener Christopher did a great job very knowledgeable. Answered every question I had. Phlebotomist Rosa was very kind. She's very gentle on her stick. Will ask to request her on my next visit. Thank you guys for your expertise ????????????
They are nice and friendly place to come to donate
Most definitely love this place it's very clean and the staff is friendly my favorite is Miss Bee she's very professional and very polite I only get two people to do it Mr B's the first and Jasmine is the second if they're not there then I'll just come another day.The place is very clean ,And there organization in this place which is very good. My first time going there I was a little scared because I've never done this but when I sit on this B's chair she made it so pleasant she gave me a lot of confidence
Great staff fast paced nice environment
IF U ARE A HARD STICK, HAVR ROLLING VEINS, SCAR TISSUE, OR JUST HAVE PROBLEMATIC STICKS IN GENERAL, ASK FOR MS TAMEKA!!! SHE GONE GET IT DONE I PROMISE U!! AND USUALLY ON THE FRIST STICK!! SHE GENTLE TOO!! U GONE BE IN AND OUT!! SHE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT GETS ME OUT IN 45 MINS AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT SHE SHE SUPER SWEET YALL!! ASK FOR MS TAMEKA????
Very great place, Great timing and people
This location is the worst kicked me out just for simply sitting down . Octapharma location needs to do better and get there head out there ass for this location and the company I was or still am a loyal member top member for this company and this is the way I'm treated this bull stuff yall need to have a meeting with your security guard idk his name but he was rude as heck
All of the staff were friendly helpful and informative. The office was clean and the staff sanitized shared spaces after each use, which i loved. I walked in as a new donor and done with the entire process in about 2 hrs.
This has to be the worst Octapharma I've ever donated at. And that's because I travel everywhere across the U.S. and I've donated at dozens of different Octapharma facilities. The management here is not very competent on managing donors in line and the security guy there while I was standing in line allows his friends to cut up front. Just my Opinion, bit this facility needs a little bit of improvement in proper management.
Staff was very nice and helpful. My bike even got stolen and the security guy helped get it back.
My experience here today was horrible.i am a first time donor at this center and As I was getting my physical done the security burst in the room and began to tell the nurse that his car got broken in to. I understand things happen but to burst in a closed room while a patient is in there is just so far disrespectful and against law. I already as young women would prefer a women nurse but for another male to burst is the room was out of line. He did not knock or anything. To yell out that information infro
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
