Great way to bring in some extra cash but the wait times are becoming longer and longer even when you do arrive early. There isn't really much communication about how long things will take (the wait to get screened and the wait to donate). The staff members seem stretched thin and overwhelmed most days. A few staff members are friendly but overall they don't really seem to engage. I understand that it's a busy environment but when dealing with donors health and time, attention to detail and consistency rea
Super discriminatory against anyone of any shade. Not to mention super unsafe. So many bad disconnects from my arm and sanitation issues are insane. Saw a lady bleed the other day and one girl wipes it up with her shoe and a rag, picks up the rag while wearing gloves (+1), then proceeds to hand someone a drink without changing THE SAME GLOVES (-10000) One person seemingly alerted the staff but they shrugged him off from what I could tell. Absolutely horrid experience and they constantly put people's safety
Computers always broken. Wait and wait and wait. Then because not your fault 2 days in a row. You don't even get express pass or *I'm sorry from Supervisor fixing the problem* letter regarding multiple other issues will be sent to the main office. Advised him that I will start going somewhere else. He said ok, smirked and walked away. When here yesterday we processed scan 7 times, no go. System kept saying I wasn't in there. Yet it was just blood work when pulled up by staff. Waste of time as I drive nearly
Staff is rude and barely willing to help. It took 4 different times as a new donor to even get signed up, which if you do make sure you have four hours set aside to do so. When asking questions to the staff I was always made to feel stupid. For example I asked one of them which donation center I was at and he responded back ?i don't know! there is only one in Lincoln so it shouldn't matter! I replied ?oh the app asked so i wasn't sure.? He goes ?yeah neither am I so?? I literally replied ?sorry for asking?.
Update: their cookie cutter response shows they dont read nor care about the bad reviews or the issues expressed by their donors.....worst plasma center I have ever encountered and Ive been to plasma centers in large cities with far more donors and been seen faster.....a new donor will get through faster (or at same speed) as a return donor. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!! I've been donating plasma for over 15 years and never had to deal with staff that just does not respect the donor time at all....currently
stood in line for half an hour with three other people and no one even showed up, so i left. literally a lobby full of people and no ones moving. if you want people to donate, try to act a bit more grateful. i can see why this place gets such poor reviews. no organization at all. i will not come back.
Donation process goes well, and staff is generally friendly. My main issue is not getting the correct compensation, which requires a phone call to fix. If a donor Is in for the second donation in the week, is it reasonable to expect the higher promised compensation? How many donors do not realize they've received $40, for their second donation, when it should have been $90?
This facility generally seems okay. Most of the employees are nice, but unprofessional. While I was in the back the nurses used coarse language often, and frequently made coarse jokes. I understand having fun at work. Overall I would say it was ok.
Since the merge it doesn't feel right. I really dislike the new calculations used to determine how much plasma is being collected. I wasn't told I would be giving nearly 100ml more than usual, without pay being adjusted. I feel with this adjustment that (seasoned) donors should have the option to request a lower amount to be taken without monetary compensation being penalized. I believe with this change someone giving a significant less amount compared to the next should not be receiving the same compensati
Listen a great way to start your day at Keds is with Mieka! She's always got a positive attitude & genuinely cares about you individually but also is very knowledgeable in all areas Ked as I've seen her frequently transition from doing intakes and getting numbers to giving assistance on the floor wherever necessary. Her attitude & drive sets her apart! Thanks Mieka!
Wonderful attentive, compassionate and knowledgeable staff that help me to feel cared for and make each visit as seamless and efficient as possible!
All of the workers are meticulous and kind, the process is quick once you figure it out, and you make good money right away!!!
The first time I came here I waited for 3 hours just for the machines that help with physicals to be down so I couldn't donate. Then I come today and had to wait at the desk to be checked in still and no one checked me in after waiting for 20 minutes while no one else was in line. This place is extremely unorganized and not professional.
Amazing staff that always make sure the procedure is excellent every time, and if anything ever goes wrong they're right on top of it.
Staff was terrible with communication prior to me arriving and driving 20 minutes . Two staff that helped me were unprofessional and bickering. I was told the wrong information and couldn't donate so I think there needs to be more training so everyone is on the same page
Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Some of the Nurses can be snappy at times though. The environment seems to go in waves from being calm, organized and pleasant to tense and uptight. It just varies depending on the day, how busy the center is and who is working. For the most it's a fairly quick process. I've been donating here for two years and it's usually a fine experience.
Very kind employees and I have not had any issues with donating.
Staffs are helpful & friendly & the donating process goes very smoothly.
I have gone here for years and I've always been kind, respectful, friendly and patient with staff. There are some good people that work here but a few bad apples are ruining the bunch. I have been calling for weeks to get an update on my donation status and the phone was never answered. For a week I called, several times a day. Just rang forever with no answer. I finally get through, very happy and I was hung up on the moment I said what I was calling for. I called back and I asked to speak to a manager and
Such a great place to donate! The staff is so friendly and always like to start a conversation with you. Shoutout to Chris and Andy - they are the BEST. Always a highlight of my week. They do their job so well and it is painless and stress-less with them.
I've been coming here semi-regularly for almost a year now. Yesterday went so wrong that I've decided to stop donating. The guy who stuck the needle in my (right) arm didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. It immediately swelled up and almost looked like the needle was about to protrude out of my arm. This has never happened before. He then suggested using my other arm. I haven't used it due to another incident and because it has very small veins. I asked him several times if he was confident in using
Real friendly and efficient staff . Definitely know what they're doing .
If you're wondering which KED location to donate at, it's not this one. I have obviously not donated at both locations, but the customer service at this location is atrocious compared to the one downtown. I had to find someone after waiting for half an hour at the front, and was then deferred due to them not having enough staff to accept ANY new donors.. maybe post something saying that somewhere at least in the building if the staff isn't going to talk to the people who come in. I then went to the other KE
Obnoxious employees some are cool but a lot of them yell across the room . Just kinda annoying
They are a joke. They told us they weren't taking new doners!!! I call bs
Place sucks I've came in past two days in a row to donate and couldn't. First time they said it was too late in the day and weren't accepting new donors. Next day I made sure to come in at an Earlier time and they said something about my name on my DL not matching my with My social security?? This place just be on bullsh!t , if u want a fast and easier experience and not to waste your gas or time, go to the other plasma donation center not this place
Don't go to Biomat, come here instead. Hard stick, so far Jonathan or Elijah or Hudson
I have donated here quite a few times now and I have enjoyed it so far. The staff is very friendly, I will say, however, the environment doesn't always feel professional. There are a few employees that shout about their personal life across the main room and that doesn't make for the most comfortable environment. Of course, there are a lot of employees that are very professional and do fit the standard. Thanks!
Refuse to honor coupon that had no expiration. Phone and 2 of 4 Terminals were down. Could have definitely offered a constellation. But chose to make the experience lackluster for me. Told them I'm just gonna go to a new center and they said that's OK. The obviously don't care about retention at all.
I called the manager and complained about a employee there who did my plasma and also my Fianc?s. My Fianc? was differed do to a reaction. Well the reaction happened after she was stabbed multiple times in the same spot. So go figure. On top of that, the same guy did my plasma a couple days after. I was chit chatting with him. And he told me he thinks it is funny to tell people they have syphilis. He said "it was funny because it wasn't a big deal". Well It is a big deal.. Especially when the nurse gets o
You need to figure out a system for Express passes. They said they were four express passes ahead of me but yet eight people got called up to the counter before I decided to leave.
They take so long, half of the machines aren't even being used most of the time
I'm a consistent donor and my last few visits have been pretty disappointing. Especially my last one. I was sat to be stuck then an arm band was put on me and tubes laid across me just for her to leave me there for 20 minutes to go help others when there was others just standing around. When someone finally came over to stick me, she came back and distracted him for another 5 minutes. Like I said I'm a consistent donor and one of my days is on Saturday, a day that I have school on and donate after 3 every
Friendly staff . You always have to wait a long time .update 10/23/2022 friendly staff still and faster time to finish the process . update 21/5/2025 extremely slow process
Today was my first experience donating plasma. It was a long process but everyone was very friendly. I had a hard time with the first cycle of the process and as soon as I noticed a problem, someone was right there to help, they immediately started giving me ice packs to cool me down and offered me water and crackers to make me feel better. It was a great atmosphere with good vibes and I felt like the staff really cared about making my experience as good as it could be and they even shared some of their own
The guy checking veins there is an idiot and has no idea what he's talking about. Just go to Grifols, they have better, more experienced phlebotomists that know what their doing. They found my veins just fine ??
So the past 2 weeks I've had issues getting all my money paid to me. EVERY TIME I DONATE..straight up robbery! I've called and called and still NOTHING!
Most incompetent phlebotomist I've ever had stick me. I don't know that there was a single time over a few month stretch where I donated and didn't get a bad bruise at the puncture site. I've been donating plasma for roughly 9 years, they are the only center that I've had this problem with. For those that don't know, if you have a bruise close to the vein you can't donate. I only started going there out of convenience to my location, but will happily drive farther to go to another center who doesn't screw
Need education on customers differences and be a little more educated. NOT some kid who is scared to ask more than question...then question MY explanation of what it is and not have to wait for some "professional" input.
Great way to make extra coin
Magnificent employees along beside donates, most importantly brings smiles to my face seeing calm reliable staff for years and feels great to see a face you know especially when times are tough.
They will not help you get signed up, takens 30mins to sign up!!
As a new member they treated me like a king, everything went swimmingly. Being a vet also got me a $5 bonus which is sweet. These guys are way better than the other places.
Some employees are very cool and nice, others not so much. they seem to give you the run around over stupid things. didnt know a persons learning disability is so important when it comes to donating plasma.
They racially discriminated against me and refused service to me because of my skin color and tattoos. After filling out paperwork to donate plasma, they asked me prejudice questions such as "Am I apart of a gang?" "Have I ever been to prison?" and "Do I have any felonies?" I have donated plasma at other Ked Plasma locations and I was not asked those discriminating questions. I also was never degraded at other plasma donating locations in Lincoln. I would also like to note that I do not have any tattoos on
The other review is emotionally biased and a bit misleading. The questions that were asked are all part of the basic questionnaires at any plasma donating center and I've been to all two of them in Lincoln. They ask if you were in a gang or in prison because the tattoos could be self made. These tattoos contain harmful materials and are done in a non sterile environments which can lead to viral infections such has Hep C and HIV. These would effect the plasma donated and could infect others in the proc
Returning donor waited for upwards of 45 minutes to get help signing a release form, asked for help and was brushed off. Stood around at a desk, noone even tried to help me.
The staff is great. Shout out to Jordan who was exceptionally so.. he strives for excellence and it shows.
I've donated here several times and it's good money for bills, I've recommended it to a few friends but a lot of times it's not a very professional environment.
For first time donor, you might want to come in a day when they don't have any returning donor, otherwise, they will let you sitting there for nothing for 1hr+.
Never had any problems ever been going here over a year great staff very helpful always checking if your ok and comfortable!
Lovely staff always gentle when it come to connect and disconnects
Everyone is very friendly and they always take the proper time and care when it comes to the actual donation process!
Kedplasma has always treated me with amazing customer service. Their practice is safe and clean!
Omgosh I love this place so much get to save people's life's look at beautiful people the hole time everyone everystaff I have gotten the chance to know and talk too are absolutely so amazing I love the atmosphere thankyou ked plasma by the f.m.v love you guys
Just go anywhere else and they'll help you. These fools here are too lazy to work and need to go back to school.
Love coming here. They are always so friendly and swift.
Went to donate at 3pm on Sat. Doors are locked !! Sign says open tell 4pm so what's up with this ??
Great staff, my favorites are Vanessa and Rachel, great at their jobs.
I don't ever take time to rate anyplace however this place had very kind staff this Fri a.m and all were 100% kind and professional.
Staff is lazy and hateful was told to come back two time so me and three other people went to biomat a few blocks away I suggest you do the same!!!
Always professional. Never had a bad experience.
Staff is great,always feel welcome.
Unable to answer simple questions over the phone. I can't imagine how they treat people.
The staff was super great here!
They do a good job and are so friendly!!!
Great cause! Great people!

Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
