I have been going to this center for over a year. The people that work here are amazing. When I walk in I am greeted with love and respect. There are a few that have been here for awhile and those are the ones that make that place. Dolores, Danielle, Davon, Tamara, Han, Jesse, Rhonda, and Monica if I missed any one please forgive me. I have been coming here for several years. Me and my service dog are always greeted warmly. I have had to replace my card and that has never been an issue. It's a very friendly and positive atmosphere.

Tamara and all of the employees are so great here! I've been to 2 other plasma donation sites and feel the most comfortable here. Everyone is friendly, gentle and kind!

The staff here are SO friendly. Every single time I've been there, they've been so nice. I've never had an issue donating, but this last time I went, I suddenly got super light-headed during my donation. Someone was by my side instantly, and I wish I'd caught her name. She elevated my feet, put an ice pack on my neck, got me a Gatorade (Powerade?), and fanned me until I know her arm had to be tired, but she kept going until I felt better. I wish I could say I'd want to come back to donate but I feel it's not in the best interest of my health to do so anymore. I've been coming for maybe 2 months now and the only workers who have been able to successfully stick me (as someone with deep veins) are Desiree and Emily. So I went to give plasma 5/10/22 and I always try to go often but this time was not a good one. I was upset about what they wanted to do in my situation. The lady poked me but with force I told her it hurts. Well immediately I saw an hematoma appear and was getting bigger as I was telling her hey it hurts take it out. Return donor bonuses were discontinued Jan 1. They now take 963 ml vs the old 880for no extra pay. As someone who only donates periodically, these bonuses are how I choose what company to donate to. Grifols are now out of the loop due to corporate greed. A prime example of someone on the corporate level being spiteful to the people who actually earns you money. Crooks

I would say for my first time donating, it was very pleasant. I wish I would?ve gotten the phlebotomist?s name before I left, but he made my first stick very easy, for it being (looked like) a 16 gauge needle. Not to please with the manager this morning. She was kind of rude because we forgot you have to schedule appointments now. Spent 3 and half hours going through the first time donor procedure, was cleared, placed on the floor only to then be denied because of my tattoo sleeves. Extremely inconsistent staff, wasted my entire day for nothing. Thanks. Staff was friendly enough but management really needs to have some consistency.

I just wanted to express my satisfaction with my experience today. I had to transfer to this location from the Allandale/Airport location and the staff explained the process and got me processed and donating with minimal wait. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. If there was a negative star, I would rate this place a negative star. I sit down, 10 mins later, someone notices me sitting down and asks me if I'm a returning donor. I usually make only restaurant reviews but I decided this was a good opportunity to sent some positivity. I feel as if the team they have right now is very solid. The employees at the Slaughter location are professional, friendly and on most days they find ways to help people stay happy while they wait. Some times when its busy, Ive seen some really good hustle.

On one occasion I had my personal information leaked and was contacted by a group of females claiming to work for Grifols. (The number belonged to someone living in El Paso). On another occasion after I had completed my donation; several phlebotomist turned a blind eye to me as I sat there hooked up to the machine while helping at the very least 4 other donors (all Hispanic but I hope that had nothing to do with it). 99.99% of the staff are awesome. The changes that have been implemented in the last couple of days have made everything worse! The whole point of doing the express kiosk was so that we could check in as soon as we arrived and bypass the people doing the regular kiosk. Now we all have to wait in the same line. It took 30 minutes to get called to a booth. And you took away the chairs. What were you thinking? So many bad decisions. 2.5 stars would be a more accurate rating.

I came in Friday 5 pm. I'm a returning donor. I last donated in November because of a bad experience, where staff was more concerned about cleaning and closing than paying attention to people who needed disconnects. I came in to use my $50 bonus (code: LAPSED50) and was turned away because they did not have enough staff for me to do a physical. I don't think any manager was consulted. They sure were nice about it.

Not sure I will be going back after this week. They have changed the donation amount and is going by your BMI now and I'm a big girl and I now have to fill up an additional 200 ml more and they didn't give me anymore compensation or anymore saline for the extra plasma I gave. Donated plasma for my first time today. Joseph and the trainee Sydney(I think that's her name) we're incredible and made sure I knew the process well and went over everything with me in detail. I always have a great experience when i go in, ive become familiar with most of the staff and they are always welcoming. You might find a delay when going in during later hrs but only because a high volume comes in. Nonetheless they are still quick and diligent at what they are doing. ??

The staff here is great! I have to give a shout out to Sam especially, one of the medical supervisors. I had a reaction during donation and he was there to find out the problem and take care of it right away. I have to say he really cares about the donors and wants to ensure everyone is doing their job as well to make the experience a good one. Jeannette is another staff member who goes above and beyond to ensure donors have great experiences, she is very attentive and a fantastic, experienced phlebotomist.

Staff is friendly took a while to get screened though . This location does not pay well . Less than half what the one up north gives you . This location only gives you $40 while the one on airport gives you $100 per donation. I recommend the one on airport if u want to donate and it be worth it.

Pretty nice staff but sometimes wait times are too long and they can't always find your vein, which hurts! Also, if you have to go to medical be prepared to wait forever to donate again because the doctor takes forever to check the results of your tests. I had to call multiple times, even show up in person before something was done and I wasn't able to donate for months. Overall good experience whenever they are well staffed and organized.

They'll deny you donating on Friday just to force you to donate Saturday for 40$ and then next week for 40$ again. Never coming back. Not only that the staff that did the orientation thing for me told me that the donor bonus would last another month regardless. That was a lie as after my 3rd donation I never received any more as the new month started

I haven't had a negative experience here compared to other centers. The attitude you give off is the attitude you get because I've seen people complain and throw fits thinking it's going to make it go faster. For those wondering, it usually takes me about an hour or an hour and a half at the most. Ebone is a hard worker and always greets me with a smile even if a customer is rude to her (which I've seen) she is respectful and makes sure you're being taken care of and the issue is resolved.

I have been faithfully donating since December of 2018. This is our part time jobs and love the cause as well now on this note Jeanette got her shortly after we donated for a while. She is so awesome and think she should havebe moved up in her career with BPL,she's dedicated to her job and it shows! Had an incompetent employee not only mess up my stick but make several questionable actions prior. Not changing gloves, not wiping down the seat between donors and touching the incision site with dirty gloves after iodine was used on the area which means the area is not longer sanitized. Great experience, however being denied to have my Legal Service Dog along my side was extremely upsetting and definitely not the experience that one should hope for... what would yall do if it were my Guide dog. Are you saying that someone on their own wouldn't be allowed to donate due to having the aide of a Medical device?? You are the only company that doesn't allow service Dogs to be at their Companions side.

First time donor. The staff was professionally kind and well trained. Registration was a bit slow but it wasn't a problem. I had a bad reaction during my donation. Medical staff was immediately attentive and stayed by my side during recovery. However, I have the WORST bruising on my arm though. Not just the injection site, but an almost 4 inch wide bruise wrapped around my arm. I WOULD NOT WASTE MY TIME DONATING w/ GRIFOLS! I have donated else where before, CSL- is BETTER!!! Grifols takes the most time to start donation process. It's takes 30-45 minutes to start the daily screening, even longer still to complete the donation process and more over they pay less than other places. The information contained on their website is a loose guide and not meant to be take literally. They seem to be short staffed perpetually.

This location is very clean and fast based upon the other location I've been to. I felt very welcomed and all my questions were answered. Jasmine was very helpful and nice. I was a little nervous to donate plasma for the first time ever, but Biomat USA on Slaughter was a great choice! The staff were SUPER friendly and funny, the place was clean, the process was organized, and a staff member even called me the day after my appointment to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. I was blown away! The compensation for the first time is $100, and the next three times you go, you'll get $125. (As of the time of this writing). The price after that decreases.

The first few times I went, very professional staff; courteous, prompt and well informed. Today I was assigned a section and forgotten about. Was actively ignored by 3 different staff members despite being literally the only person not hooked up. After about 15 minutes of this, I left. But the hobo laughing about being still drunk from last night is currently donating. So there's that. I hope I never need a blood transfusion.

With the new company that bought them they now have to set up each donation bed manually compared to it being setup and ready to go before. They are some times under staffed so you may have to wait a while to get stuck or unstuck after your donation. Update: The facility has gotten extremely slow. The Donors always have to wait extremely unreasonable times just to be connected and unconnected to the machine.

Please bring back Happy Hour Bonuses, Bingo, and technicians who stay with the company more than a couple of months. Currently we've been waiting on an MS Supervisor . The building has been open since 8 a.m. and we have yet to be seen. This seems to be a regular occurrence. This is an issue that affects your employees enormously. I get so frustrated every time I donate. I got poked on the fingers three times because the person drawing kept messing up. They don't know how to put a blood pressure cuff on me. I especially really hate the way some of them talk to me and how unprofessional they act in front of the donors. And they wonder why I am not really friendly.

Great place to make extra money and help others at the same time. Can't come here on a set schedule though. It could take an hour or 2 and a half hours there's been instances I sit down and have not been stuck in 20 minutes...even watched an employee be asked by a supervisor she said I've got this disconnect, she walked to a bed 2 away finished and walked off to do nothing until I asked to get stuck again and the supervisor did.

They need more experienced people when it comes to drawing blood. Apparently I have small Veins and the less experienced people have poked me to where I get terrible bruises and they hurt me because they have to try so many times. Since this is an essential part of their process, they really need at least one expert available to assist during all working hours. I came in today on 2/15/22 at 11am to donate and they had me sitting and waiting for 3 hours. I just now walked out at 2:07pm and no one told me it would be just a minute or anything. This was my first donating and I was really excited and now I don't ever want to do this again. Employees were friendly but maintenance was stepping on the chair I was sitting on also while I was waiting while they were fixing a TV? Place was uncomfortable, rude, and a waste of time going to.

The wait times get worse and worse. I wait over an hour just be screened and about 2.5 hrs just to get hooked up. The payout has been less in 2022 compared to 2021 and the wait and customer service is declining with it. And do something about those nasty restrooms... the homeless smell better

The people who work there are very nice, and very helpful. I stoped donating for a while and when I came back, Joseph asked if I had gotten a return donor email. I didn't remember one, so I checked my old emails. I had gotten one and qualified for an extra $50! Thanks Joseph!

Best place to donate by far! Staff is super nice and friendly, Professional, they always store my motorcycle helmet behind the desk so I don't have to hold it while I donate. Also the payouts are great!

Highly recommend no one donate here. They have just started taking forehead temperatures at the door, and i was measured at 109. If i was really 109 i would be flat out almost dead. I was told by tech that a lot of temps were off since they started using the knew temperature. So with my temp being measured wrong i have to wait 2 week, if i even want to go back, before u can donate again. I feel fine its a hot muggy day, but even then 109 temp is really off since clearly i am not dead.

Takes forever. Got here at 3:50 pm and did not get hooked up to donate until 6pm. Very short on staff. And staff don't seem to care about speed or attending customers. Many times I see staff just joking around and laughing when there is a long line. All for $40

Today this lady couldn't find my vein and just dug around in my arm for like 15 mins. Then left the needle in my arm not hooked up while I was in pain to help someone else. Then I had to leave with out donating and no pay. I dont expect to get paid if I'm not donating to be clear. The rest of the staff are awesome and I like the atmosphere. This facility is always clean and the patient flow is always moving. Of course waiting is expected, but I've never spent more than 1.5 hours here. In my opinion, it is way nicer than the Airport location.

They seem to want to talk and recreate more than actually do work. As I stand in the long line to get my vitals tested, the ones who are supposed to do the testing are in one of the rooms, visible to everyone, laughing and having a good time while the donors wait. Then, after being finally seen, you wait about 30 minutes for them to actually stick you, again, being able to see them talk to each other and play around. Hands-down the worst service I have ever received. The inconsistent communication and rude staff should make you avoid this plasma center at all cost. They blames our poor performance on being understaffed, we all understand that there is a pandemic going on and a global shortage of workers right now. That is not the reason for the poor service. The amount of gross behavior and inappropriate medical practices should have this place shut down immediately.

I'm giving it 5 stars compared to all other plasma facilities. It's usually takes 45 min-1 hour to donate and they move you through pretty quickly. It's comfy (well as comfy as you can get), clean, and the faculty is pretty respectful as long as you are. Quick notes: bring a blanket or a sweater -- it's so cold in there. Also, don't try and charge your phone there, they won't let you.

Arrived at 11am The company had me sitting for 4 hours and still was not able to donate it is the most unprofessional service that I have experienced. Would strongly recommend for a person who is considering to donate from here to go to bio life. They have no respect for your schedule and advertise lies.

I looked on website to try to schedule a first time donor appointment and it has no calendar nor does it allow you to schedule. I called the number several times and no one ever answered. How do you expect people to donate?

Excellent facility. Very clean and organized. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, even when certain donors act rude or unruly. I see several bad reviews here, but I have not experienced anything like this nor have I seen anyone else. I don't have any intention of donating anywhere else.

I had started donating about 3 to 4 years ago at BPL on Airport Blvd. I found out that there was one in San Marcos and I live in Buda, so I transferred. I was there for a lil over a year until I waiting for over an hour one day to be told that my check-up results had not come back in the 6 weeks time frame that they should have said I needed to take my blood samples again and I could not donate until the results came back. I called to find the results and was cleared, so I transferred to the Slaughter Lane

This place is not a safe place to donate plasma. You've got a 3 in 5 chance you'll get stuck by an amateur phlebotomist.that will most likely miss your vein. No one cares about their job there or your well being. I would STRONGLY advise no one to go here. Not until they get qualified personel who actually know what they are doing.

Coming in twice a week at this location for the last year has been a positive experience. The staff is kind and focused on the donors experience and wellness.

I am here at bpl. Not really feeling it. They are way under staffed. I am in back waiting to get stuck. I have been waiting for 20 min now. There is 3 ppl sticking ppl and 20 of us waiting to get stuck. This is crazy. It looks like another 40 min before I even get stuck. This is very frustrating. How do you not schedule enough people

The representatives on Slaughter Lane, Austin, TX and I 35 in San Marcos, TX, were professional in every manner possible. The locations were clean. Beds were sanitized after every donor. Wish I didn't have to leave TX and go back to Florida. Good job folks and well recommended to any newcomers

Usually donate at the Airport Blvd location I figured I'd start coming here since it is closer to home. Everyone was great, it was clean, and there was no wait. The entire process took 45 minutes. Im glad that I chose to start coming here to donate.

Went in today on the 22nd of April for an donation. Everything seems to go fine untill I noticed my plasma was coming out as a very dark red/almost black color! I got the attention of a tech who had to turn my machine off & informed me I had to be let go immediately & could not finish my donation. Turns out what happened was the tech who set me up failed to properly set up the machine properly causing me to lose an SUBSTANTIAL amount of blood, so much that I have been put on a 2 month hold. I call this location today to find out some information. While you don't have to make an appointment to donate plasma, they require a federal ID, your physical Social Security card, and proof of a mailing address. The mailing address on my drivers license apparently isn't enough, and I definitely don't like that they want me to physically bring in my Social Security card. There have to be more secure ways to verify information, most people don't carry their Social Security cards around with them so it's

The experience at BPL PLASMA is a pleasant beginning. The process is quick and friendly.However once you get to the donor floor it is a bit understaffed.on this visit it took almost 20 min to get assistance, then having to restick is very painful only to sit here an extra hour, and im not sure if its normal for blood to exit out from the needle still inserted..I think some additional help is needed and reassuring the Donor in times like this is beneficial to the continued success of BPL PLasma. I've been donating at this facility on and off for four years. It's a good operation for side hustle money. I like them way more than old company biolife. There's several ways this company can make things better- improve the donation beds for people taller than 6 feet, I'm 6.5. Also give more of a good bonus structure, especially with rising economy and the huge amount a plasma bottle goes for incomparison to our small compensation. Good for quick cash. $30-50 for each donation. However, this place is annoyingly inefficient. Expect to be there for about an hour and a half each time you donate. The last time I went, I left after I'd spent 50 min there & still hadn't begun the actual donation.

The first time I donated plasma was about 20 years ago. I've given at probably every center in San Antonio. In SA the centers are packed to capacity. This place has been practically empty for over two hours and I still haven't gotten a physical. I've had no bad experiences with this place, until today. There is a sign reading "Upon your 8th donation you recieve a 60$ bonus." Today, on my 8th donation, my information sheet said I was only due 40, and that it was only my 7th donation. I asked the man who stuck me, and he confirmed it was my 8th donation and said he would get my bonus taken care of. Since Grifols bought this company, I've decided to move back to BioLife. The floors are suddenly very dirty with discarded pieces of equipment. The process takes way longer than before. The people from corporate are rude. The only good thing here is the techs and MS.

Recommend this place. The phlebotomists check on you and make sure your donation is going smooth. They are also quick to disconnect you after your complete. Great faculty.

Bpl plasma at slaughter is a hit or miss with customer service. The employees are usually in a good mood or not. Plan to spend 40 minutes-2 hours when visiting. They aren't conscious of your time at all. Ask for a black coat to poke you or your poke may hurt.

I have only been to two plasma donation centers. I decided not to go back to the furrst one because it was so awful an experience. When I entered the BpL on slaughter ln. I was immediately impressed. I had been referred to BPL plasma by a friend and I should have listened to her when she said that there were problems with this organization. I had to get additional information on my health by my primary care doctor in order to be able to donate, but once this was done and reviewed a second time, not just the first time I came in and reviewed. my medical history but the second time after I came in with the release from my MD and we reviewed and reviewed and reviewed almost 2 hours I spent going over this

I have donated blood for 14 years and never have I been asked for more than a photo id. They wanted my social security number. And not just the number, an actual copy of my ss card. I think not. I'll go elsewhere.

Expect the process to take between 2 to 4 hrs at this location. It's always the same 3 or 4 employees that are dressed in black that seem to have a sense of urgency ..As for the rest of the team never seem to be motivated to do their job.

first time I donated here they blew up my vein and I had a haematoma for a week. Couldn't even close my arm. only came back because my tire blew out and I absolutely had to have it replaced. The staff here are very condescending and lackadaisical (I know they deal with a bunch of scummy people) but seem to hold themselves above everyone.

So I recently went to start donating and they said I needed blood samples. It took longer than normal to get the results and then said that the Physician needed to sign off on it and that he or she only comes once a week and they couldn't tell me a day because it's random. So I been calling all week and Medical never picks up the phone. I guess I will just go somewhere else. ??

I came here in 2017 when it was still BPL plasma. Into the 2nd full year of Covid-19 pandemic, with inflation up and gas prices getting high, I decided to come back and see they added so much more with more incentives as Grifols/Biomat. It's helped me get through the week and I recommend anyone that may need extra money and doesn't mind to help others that need plasma, the money you get, makes a difference.

Not going back after today!! I have the nastiest, dark purple bruise from an adjustment they made today. I've gotten adjustments before but this time I'm in pain!!

I went in and they were very rude. The supervisor stated that because I was homeless, they was not able to donate. I've never heard that before.

Again, who is managing these places? This months (august) bonus advertisement notes 15 on 5th and 30 on 8th donations on the website. In this facility there is only a 60 on 8th poster (same august Olympic themed), and I have not seen any of it and I will be hitting my 9th donation before the month is over.

Grifols on W Slaughter is the place to go to donate plasma. They've got great deals and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. S/o to Tamara, Brianna, and the rest of the plasma gang.

They always get you in a fast as possible, provide extra bonuses throught the month for comsistent donors, and even occasionally have food for donors. Great, clean atmosphere as well.

All the staff there greet me with smiles and make me feel missed when i havent gone in a while , the only bad thing i can say about it is just the act of donating itself, the needle and scarring but other than that the BPL employees are A1 in my book
