Octapharma Plasma Buffalo, NY

Place is very clean and nurses are very pleasant and explain things in a very well manner. I was low on iron 1% and she told me what needed to be done to fix it. Even though I drove my bicycle 1hour to get here. At least I know what's going on with my body. Red headed nurse was exceptionally pleasant and kind. Thank you again for offering the chance. I will be back once i get my iron levels up!

Nurse Aveona was helpful kind sweet. She made me feel very comfortable. You can tell she enjoys her job and cares about people. She is the best.

Octapharma is a much better experience than I could have ever imagined. The staff is very respectful. When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile. If I had any questions, I received assistance ASAP. Severely understaffed! It takes 3 hours to donate. One hour in line, one waiting to get on the floor and one to donate. Most of people are not very friendly. If you want to get in and out fastest show up at 4:55. They hustle then!

The Octapharma Plasma location on Sheridan Drive is ridiculously understaffed. The past two times I came in to donate I waited over 2 1/2 hours before I even got sat in a chair. Then I waited another 30 minutes before they started my donation process. They need to hire more people to keep up with the demands of the donors. I do not recommend you come here if you are thinking of donating plasma.

Everyone was nice, I would have loved to donate but veins weren't viable for it. Other than that it is a very clean and nice place.

They are very slow hooking up patients, the wait time is crazy! There's one person screening and one or two sticking, most of the time it's only one and the lines are long! I spent 3hrs there one day a couple weeks ago and I was fuming! When a new donor comes in , they drop everything to take care of them, meanwhile the people in line that have been waiting are still in line, it's a ridiculous policy! It should be by appt only so the staff can be prepared ahead of time!

It wouldn't allow me to give zero stars. The last two times I tried to donate, I waited over an hour and a half and still hadn't been called over by a phlebotomist. I left both times without donating. $30 for three hours of my time is a slap in the face. I will look elsewhere to donate. The center on Sheridan is poorly run and under staffed. They don't value their customers or their time.

That the place did not open till well after noon and had an appointment at 11:30. Cannot understand why we were not called and I could not stay to finish the process. Waist of my time.

Edit #2: 9/25/24 Adding yet another star because when I came in on 9/23/24 they checked my arms and they gave me an info page that I followed to a 'T' post donation! I was able to donate on 9/23. Before I did though, Aye, Center Assistant Director, spoke to me more about how to prevent bruising. She also explained that needle sizes are different (bigger) for plasma donation than going to the regular doctor for blood draws. AND she hand picked Chastidy to do my blood draw. Spent 2 hrs on the bed just for $35 and I was trying to understand why . One of the receptionist on the phone deliberately stated that he was just talking saying the same thing over and over again and then just hung up In my face.

This place was great when I first started donating. The staff was great and had great bed side manners. They've had some turnover, which happens, but these girls are more concerned with chit chatting than getting people in and out. I was there for 3 hours this past time I donated. No one cares about your time. Not to mention they've been rough with sticking you with the needle and ripping it out when you're done.

I loved the way Atia stuck me. She was quick very comfortable to be with, was not rough while sticking me, I didn't even notice she stuck me. I have been here for 2 months and left CSL Plasma because of workers who are like her. Loved her customer service and look forward coming back and refereeing friends and family.

For all I want to set record straight, great staff wonderful staff! I have been a regular for a year twice a week. Excellent at what they do! They have had shortages but it happens and they are training more! Do not go off one time reviews! Look this is volunteer for people and at times you may wait. If you cannot don't go. The first donation was ok but the second donation was a nightmare. The place is very mismanaged and understaffed.

I didn't know what to expect going in since it was my first time donating. Although my first visit was a lengthy one (3 hours in total), the experience overall was very good. This location was clean, staff was friendly and seemed to all get along with each other, as they joked around as they tended to the patients. As a new donor you do get bumped to the front of the line which is a perk! I plan to return for continued donations.

This is a great place to donate plasma. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly also I've never had a issue donating and the plasma center is in very pristine and clean The are always ready and able to assist you with anything that may arise. Went for my first time donating on Friday. The whole process of a new donor took roughly 3 hours (including donation). Everyone was so friendly and personable and efficient. The center was extremely clean. Will definitely be going again.

Horrible customer service nurses and staff have very bad attitudes and have no respect for the people coming to donate I sat for almost 3 hours for a mistake made by staff and they got mad I was frustrated for their mistake will never come here again I'd rather go to CSL on elmwood and if you donate plasma in the area you know how bad that can be

My first initial appointment was very long (3 hours) I was told it was due to staff call offs. However the times since have been quick and efficient. Clean facility, nice staff. Very happy with them.

I went in for my new donor appointment and wasn't acknowledged within 20 minutes, so I left. If I had been told ?take a seat, we'll be with you when we can,? it would have been fine. But I stood there for 20 minutes with not one worker acknowledging my presence.

I am a doner at Octapharma, and have never had any issues.

Staff here is pretty good. Never have any issues with them very helpful. The design of this building could be better, lobby has artificial yellow lighting that is far too bright with minimal sunlight coming in. Can be a bit much. I'd say bring headphones as well there is no music and often times a violent show or movie will be playing. Counter productive to people with sensitive nervous systems especially when your pulse is being checked.

there has not been one time I walked in this facility when there wasn't an issue. If it's not the staff being rude and disrespectful it's them giving you an unnecessarily hard time trying to donate. Asked one of the people I asked to use there bathroom and they had an attitude and was rude about me using there bathroom and said if u r not here to donate u can't use our bathroom. So u need nicer people in ur octoplasma place and not be so mean to there customers.

Octoplasma is cool like going tw a week

Very nice people. The workers engage the clients and not each other. At my previous site, not octapharma I knew more about their plans than I cared for. I found this company to be professional, kind and skilled. On my 1st time it took 2 hours as compared to nearly 5 at the cheektowaga location of the other company. My whole time spent on my 2nd visit was 1.5 hours as compared to 4. I highly recommend this facility.

The staff is extremely friendly and efficient. They pay attention to the donor's. They greet you as you walk in and make sure that you are never just standing around. I applaud their efforts and appreciate their professionalism in a very fast paced environment.

Amherst NY location: This is ONLY to address one issue in particular I know (from at least one other person I talked to) bothers them as well. When removing the needle after donation the safety mechanism often malfunctions and requires the tech to push on the needle (still in your arm) multiple times before it's removed. This HURTS! And has the potential to ruin the access point for some people, please consider researching other possible tubing/safety insertion needles in a large gauge for your company-bcz

Everyone here from the nurses to the phlebotomists are super nice and care about your health. Never had an issue with the needle or donating and money on my card within mins! Very clean inside and you don't wait long at all! Highly recommend!

Everyone at this establishment is extremely kind and helpful in the plasma giving process, making it an easy and fast experience. My first visit the nurse with the wavy/curly blonde hair and glasses (I'm sorry I don't know your name!) who did my physical was extremely patient with my questions and made me feel quite comfortable. The phlebotomists are absolutely amazing! Doing this is a great way to help out others in need and help out yourself as well. The process is easier than it sounds and like I said the phlebotomist/nurses/staff included.. amazing!! They work great together. They were friendly and make you feel comfortable the process is quicker than you think and very easy

Don't go here. I have an allergy to tape so I require paper tape and I was permanently deferred because they had no other type of tape available. I will be reporting this site to the FDA.

Horrible place to donate they can't find your veins and they keep trying I was there last week after 5 try the decide to deferred me like it was fault they couldn't even get me a answer of what was going on why blood was in my plasma very unprofessional manager didn't have no clue front people excellent job people on donation table horrible

Overall, it has been a great experience with Octapharma Plasma. Expect the first visit to take some time, but once you are through the initial evaluation, the process is very simple and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Clean facility. Kiosk is very slow. The app is much faster. Enjoy watching their TV's during the process.

The office is very understaffed, but the folks who are there do a spectacular job of keeping the process moving. Be prepared for a bit of a wait on your first visit.

The staff is great very friendly and efficient. There hasn't been a time where I got pricked the wrong way where I couldn't donate. To me it means something when your veins are hard to find.

Great place but they seriously need to order more machines to go with all theese useless beds they have had for months !!!! And also don't find it fare how you can be waiting for 2 hours but because they got a new donor the new donor gets to skip ahead of you !!!!!

I went to donate today and was turned away. I usually go Wed and Fri. Last week l went Wed and Saturday (l couldn't make it Fri) and was told that l either had to switch to Wed and Sat or wait until next Wed to get back on schedule. That's ridiculous, all the other places let you go 2 times a week as long as it's 2 days apart.

Great and respectful, and have patience with there costumers. Thanks guy and I will definitely return and put a word out for new donors.

On my visit on August 3rd I was there from 10:15-1:45. 3 1/2 hours. Way too long of a time to wait!!!!

I have to be honest so no my arm still hurts where the new stick was.

So stupid they give gift cards for redeeming points. How am I supposed to buy my drugs or pay my rent with a gift card? Give us extra cash for redeeming earned points the way csl plasma does.

Staff was friendly again. I don't like the new payment calculation. Decreasing payments instead of increasing them during inflation is crazy.

Was a very nice and clean place the only downside is it's very cold there so make sure you have a blanket or sweater,hoodie anything to keep you warmer

The service at Octapharma Plasma in Amherst, NY is excellent, but Octapharma recently changed the top amount you can earn from $65 to $60. I don't know why that change was made, but it's pretty annoying.

Intake is PAINFULLY SLOW! Waiting for a screen to change pages after I read it is way too slow. Long waiting lines after to be interviewed. Then, long waits again to donate.

OctaPharma Plasma is far and away the finest donation center in Western New York. The facility is clean and brand new and the entire staff is outstanding. Julie the manager leads by example with a warm and welcoming way about her and it makes for a pleasant donating experience. Along with that, the OCTA APP allows for a nice and easy check in as you arrive. OctaPharma Plasma is the best place to donate for a good cause and the compensation is generous.

Wasted 2 hours of my time as a new donor. My medication is approved for plasma donation (I have donated at a different company) even according to their list. But had a clueless nurse that couldn't figure it out. Don't waste your time coming here.

My favorite spot but be advised that if you miss a few weeks when your starting off you do not receive $100? It changes to $30

Went in here a little bit ago and there were some people that were clearly sick coughing sneezing and nobody said anything to them. I have some sanitation concerns
