This morning ?? I was in a little panic and called for information on payments. The lady that answered the phone was so polite and helpful that I still have a smile on my face right now. Rhonda is very professional, knowledgeable and efficient in helping the customers and knows how to give proper responses so that not only her time but also he clients time is not wasted. Thank you ??
Today, Monday, January 20, 2025, at 4:55PM, I called to inquire about donating blood for the first time. I selected the option to speak in Spanish because I feel more comfortable speaking Spanish, especially for something as important as this process. A representative named Christine answered the call. I asked her if she spoke Spanish, and she replied, ?Yes, I do,? but then continued speaking to me in English, over and over. I began speaking to her in Spanish and asked her some questions about the donation
The absolute worst most unprofessional place I've ever been to in my life. Between the patient care, coordinators, the nurse, and the phlebotomist I wish I could give a -5 star review? they didn't care about a damn thing except themselves getting out of work on time in the middle of the day! I was there with two other people and we ALL we turned away for different reasons so we left and went to BioLife (one mile away on East Bay) and we ALL were taken and it was a beautiful experience.
I have been donating plasma for years, and I had hands-down the worst experience of my life at this center. The phlebotomist clearly had no idea what she was doing because she pulled the huge needle out of my arm, did not put any pressure on it and then walked away. Blood was gushing out of my arm all over the floor, and it made me scream! It was so jarring to see that much blood pouring out of my body. Everyone else around me was freaking out too. I actually stopped donating plasma after this experience be
Whenever I go, it's always clean and I always look for Devin or Vanessa these two are my favorites. Overall, the rest of the staff are phenomenal as well. The supervisor lex was very helpful. I will highly recommend GRIFOLS I have a pretty good experience each time I go.
The Absolute Worst!!! First donation went smoothly, got all pertinent information. Came for second donation after driving a hour and being 2nd on property now having to sit and wait for someone to do system stuff that should?ve been done after first donation. Literally watching people come and go not one staff stopped to see if they could help. There is no point of being her early and drive the distance cause there is none in Tampa. Worst Professionalism not Customer Focused At All
Just stood at first-time donor check-in desk for over 10 minutes, and no one that worked there even walked by. And I had an appointment. I just left without donating.
Love this place! Best donor facility in pinellas! Only thing is, they have contest and winners of certain things that criteria needs to be met on, but never publishes winners? Makes you wonder if there really are any winners? Or is it just a scam to get more donors and more effort from existing donors. When all they have to do is make it beneficial for existing donors with cash! Not a chance at something, that noone sees actually happen! Questionable practices at the least! Still the best people around tho
This is by far the best place to donate. I've been to Octapharma and CSL and both can't compare with Biomat. Everyone is pleasant and they are very efficient with the whole process. I will continue to donate here indefinitely.
I've been at Grifols for a couple months, it's my favorite plasma spot. Staff, donors, and managers are all cool and respectful.
It is a very chill atmosphere. Always an enjoyable experience because the staff is so friendly and fun. They get the job done, but they have fun doing it Julia and Vanessa always go above what is expected to make EVERYONE feel at home and comfortable .
Had a very pleasant experience with customer service over the phone. Francis took extra steps in helping me and she listen to my concerns.
I've been coming here for years and the staff couldn't be better. Everyone is great to be around and knowledgeable. The center itself is ran efficiently and they always keep up with volume with little wait times.
The service here is always exceptional here. Here your not just a donor. Your a person they treat you with respect and care. The ask how you are and how you r doing. They take the time to care about you and what your doing and not just another person they are sticking gor the 50th time that day. I really appreciate the staff from start to finish. Vanessa was caring and excellent she display everything you want in someone working in health-care. She had a understanding about everything in front of her and m
Of all the centers I have donated at this is by far the best. Their staff is always working hard to get things done, over the years they have come up with solutions to simplify the donating process and they do their best to make it a good experience for everyone. I have been going for almost three years and I have never left upset or with a sore arm or anything so it's really been a great experience working with them. I love this center! :)
The staff is hit or miss in terms of bedside manner either nice and helpful or grumpy and short?. The machines are what gives this place a bad review for me they must be old or never maintained because they glitch , won't draw blood , no flow , takes forever. There's better places to go if this place is your closest one I guess it's ok
Ms Cindy was very nice and very calm with me . Big ups to her !!!! Raise her up griffols!!
I have been here before even when it was BPL. And Rhonda is Queen. I don't like needles and she makes it so smooth and that I request her when she is present. Everyone from Lex to the maintenance worker are like family. Although others offer more money I would not change for no reason.
There cleanliness is top service as well,as their kind staff . The process for new donors and returning donors has been the best experience O have had with a plasma donation center ever. Every appointment is made on an app. You never have big lines to wait on.
Love this plasma center. They have wifi, bonuses, awesome relaxing staff, and a super clean and professional building, facility, and awesome payouts. Definitely recommend. ????
I like it. Everyone is nice except for the short girl who's always rude. Maybe get her therapy ? Overall though, all things considered, I like this place a lot and everyone is good people. I'd recommend coming here.
Made an appointment easily. Appointments avoid long wait times and it is a clean, well kept environment. Professional and friendly service.
Everyone was really friendly and professional. Quick and easy. ??
The staff is great and they're good at what they do. My issue is the wait time. They are always shorthanded and are not equipped for heavy traffic. I feel like sometimes workers walk around doing other stuff and sometimes not doing anything at all even though there is a line waiting to be called. If you are on a schedule give yourself at least another hour on top of what you already think you need. I had to leave after I was checked in simply because it was taking too long and I wouldn't have made it on ti
By far my favorite donation center in the area. Staff is always friendly, and wait time is rarely over 15 minutes. Shout out in particular to Vanessa, Brittany, Ron, Precious, Jillian, Thomas, and the guy on crutches whose name slips my mind
Rodique devin Thomas escelente help great job forreal very friendly Very gentle
Christian was very friendly great at her job an very perfesonal. Way better then CSL so glad that I came here never going back to csl. I'll be sure to tell all my friends to come here
They have zero notification for deferrals. They want you to waste your time coming in to find out instead of calling or emailing you asking for a call back. Which they're required to do. I wont be back. Freedom Plasma in St. Pete pays a lot more.
The staff are always friendly and like to laugh and have a good time. The wait can be long at certain times but the staff do their best to keep things moving. Once you're settled in they do a good job at keeping you comfortable. My veins are deep and other places have a hard time but the staff here know what they're doing and never have a problem getting me set up. I will not go anywhere else.
Vanessa is always a reliable stick! Almost 200 sticks and flawless.shes my tech and I will always wait for her if she is on the floor .
Forced to check out and wait to our appointment time of 530 but it says in the app says you can come 15 mins early. That was fine just waiting. What I was upset about is two others checked in early. Then don't call back in order as check in pulls a lady not even checked in that know the lady working the counter.
Rahim makes the the place fun and such a pleasure to see. Rhonda is amazing and such relief to me qhen she comes to pick me. Don't feel it at all!!
They just took the phone completely off the hook very unprofessional. I'm a new donor just trying to ask a few questions.... They are understaffed the first donation was the longest process I've experienced out of a lot of plasma donation centers! You have to make a appointment there! They're are barely any donors in the center and it still took 4 hours!! They are not assertive or persistent they walk around cussing everything is a joke... Playing around between employees! The donors aren't getting the prop
I would never go back to this place. Use CSL or other plasma centers. As you can see in the photos my arm is completely black and blue due to the knowledge of the the nurse. She laughed about it and the manager does nothing at all to help the patients. Take your buisness elsewhere. You definitely don't want the experience I had.
I love this place very comfortable Vanessa was amazing no problem getting me prepared for my donation she explained everything to me that would happen to a procedure so I could understand felt safe and can't wait to donate again thanks Vanessa for helping me save lives??
Honestly I was hesitant at coming here based off of the reviews that I read when I was doing my research. But when I came in, I was immediately greeted and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. I used to go to the BPL in Tampa, where it was like a madhouse. But this one is calm and inviting, the staff is friendly and they're quick to help! Lisa is hilarious and Darius was awesome. Overall I just enjoyed my experience and the overall environment that they have! the employees are happy and
The staff is friendly and efficient. I appreciate how hard they work to make each visit quick and pleasant.
This is my 4th donation at this center, and I am always impressed with how clean the facility is. The process moves quickly once you complete your initial assessment, I am usually finished in about an hour. The staff here is Phenomenal! Every person I have come in contact with has been very nice and personable, and seems to really enjoy their job
I've personally donated at multiple places, CSL, Biolife, Octapharma, Freedom, and now Grifols. By FAR this is the best location I've ever been to. The staff was nice every step of the way. The needle was stuck gently and the process was smooth and successful. All the staff had positive attitudes and seem to work well together . I wish they paid more, but if you're looking to donate successfully with zero pain or aggravation this is the place to go!
I've been going to this donor location for about 5 years and I've always received great service! Rhonda, Lex, Jillian, and the rest of the staff are awesome!!!
5 stars for Lex. 100 stars if I could!!!! Lex was so fun & friendly from the moment I walked in. He made me feel like I was safe and in professional hands. For me, I was having an issue with my expired plasma funds credit card. Lex immediately stepped up to see how he could assist me and wasted NO time helping me out & figuring out what to do to fix my problem. He was so cool, so kind, so easygoing, funny. All the employees there had amazing energy and seemed like they were happy at their jobs. Shoutout
Clean and efficient, but they lose one star for their music selection: Just because there are no "cuss words" doesn't mean everything's appropriate in a professional setting. They lose a second star for their poor bedside manner: I am from up North, so I don't need or expect chit-chat, but employees should at least occasionally say things like "hello" or "how are you doing?" These seem focused on joking around with each other or singing along to the music ??
Tanida has always been a great phlebotomy for me
This place used to be absolutely fantastic. I went over 6 months ago and called to see if I would be a ?new donor? again they said yes but I could only make an appointment on the app and hung up. I only stopped donating before because I had gotten covid and took medication to speed it up from the symptoms so I didn't even try donating again for a long while to make sure my donation was safe. I had called before I had decided to stop and they told me they couldn't tell me over the phone how long I would need
Brittney Vargas And Jillian and Erica ARE THE BEST!!! It Was My First Time Donating And I Didn't Know What To Expect But Theese 3 Young Ladies Walked Me Through The Whole Process And Made Me Feel So Comfortable And Took My Anxiety Away! Those 3 Girls Were Extremely Knowledgeable About Their Job! I Will Be Back Again??
Very professional, clean, and if you go in the am you can get in and out quickly. The best thing for me is they are very good at setting the needle. They hit the mark first time unlike some other places that have made a mess of my arm.
This location is awesome. They are very professional, efficient and they really care about their donors. Rhonda and Sirina are among the best. The GM Rick is a hands on leader and is really good at his job and is very well respected.
Best plasma center I have ever been to.. everyone is always pleasant and chill.... smooth check in with Thomas up front.. easy stick as always with Vanessa, Ric the center manager and ronique always checking up on everyone and being awesome. Great place to donate and save a life 100%.
Awesome place. Definitely recommend this center to all who haven't switched over to Biomat. Dedicated Phlebotomists, Rhonda and Justin to name.. Awesome and respectful, both go above and beyond to create a comfortable experience for all. Always get on first try, never have a problem with them on the team. Everytime I visit, I always feel welcomed, between the reception, all the way into the back where the magic happens. Head on down to Biomat, for the most pleasant and respectful experience you can have.. N
Usually pretty friendly service but there are some things this location needs help on. Either another location or to utilize their facility more by hiring/seeking out more employees. The wait time drags on for pretty long times and I think that is a lack of staff. Good facility though and good promotions, looking forward to the app running to do all my questions for donation!
Jonathan, Rebecca, and Derrick were just a few employees that I had an excellent experience with! Everyone that I came in contact with was so nice and friendly! The place was very clean and maintained. The doctors in the black scrubs were also very professional in answering my questions and making me feel comfortable. I will be recommending this place to everyone and returning very soon for another visit! Thanks to everyone that worked here!
I have been going to this location for 2 years now. Usually stuck by Vanessa, who is always friendly and professional. Would recomend this location to anyone.
This is the second time I've attempted to become a donor and I keep getting told by the same front desk girl that they don't have the supplies for new donors. Keep in mind that when i called I was told to come on in without any mention of lack of supplies. Also I was told by another girl while I was there two days ago that they were definitely getting a delivery later that day. Either they staff doesn't want to do their job or this center is sloppy and not well run.
Amazing place to give plasma! Thomas in vitals is amazing, I have a fear of needles and my heart rate always pick up, but he makes me feel super comfortable and gets me to relax. The lady's on the floor are amazing as well I wish I knew all there names but they never miss a vein and I very rarely feel it even go into my skin! The staff is wonderful here. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
All of the staff are amazing! Justin, Rhonda, Kelly, Vanessa, Syrina, Ivy?they are friendly, professional and do a great job! Every experience has been great! It's quick, a clean facility and pays well.
Cristina & Vanessa do & amazing job everytime I come in to donate. They have amazing customers service & are very efficient at their job!
The first time I went it took 3 hours, 10 minutes. Most everyone there was pleasant and thorough, though one of the receptionists had an defensive attitude. They aren't really clear on the money you receive. The second time I went I was a little skeptical because they used masking tape to hold the tubes to your arms, which I think is extremely inappropriate. The second time only took 1 hour, 10 minutes. The items I would improve at their facility is: GET RID OF THE MASKING TAPE!!! Even if the regular medica
I have a great experience every time I come here the people are kind caring take care of everything that needs to be taken care of very clean sterile environment I love saving lifes
I started coming here a couple of weeks ago and EVERYONE is so friendly and nice. The receptionists, To the phlebotomists, the doctors, and the managers . They've all been SUPER kind to me and very helpful. They're pros at they're job and never miss a stick. Not to mention, the compensation is way better than I've ever gotten and any other center. I wish I knew everyone's names who have been helping me each day, so I could name you hear and let you know how much I appreciate you. But you've seriously
Vanessa has stuck me a few times. She's the best and always pleasant and friendly and professional.
Christina is very fast and efficient while keeping a kind friendly demeanor. Really enjoyed her!
Awesome 1st experience! Thomas the Medical Screener Was An Absolute Pleasure! He Gives Grifols A Great Name , Just A All Around Good Experience Compared to other Local center! Thanks All Staff Members! I'll Be Back On The Regular !! ***** Had to come back and add the Fact that Devin the medical screener went OVER AND BEYOND to accommodate the finger stick for me ! He deserves employee of the Month I've never experienced such Customer Service in my life ! Thank you Devin
If I could give this place negative stars I would. All the women in the front are rude and snappy, not friendly to new comers who are trying to figure out how to donate. They roll their eyes when the phone rings. I had an appointment and they didn't accept my ID?s address because it wasn't within a 40 mile radius of the center and I can't be just some homeless person walking in. Mind you that's how exactly they talked to me, humiliating me further by telling me to go outside if I wasn't going to donate and
This review is specifically for Mallory . She did my vitals today and I feel that she has amazing charisma and a really positive attitude. If all of the centers had staff like her the world would be a far better place!!! Great job Mallory!!!
Had a great experience today. Vanessa did a great job. Very professional and personable!!
Well, due to a medication that I was talking; I could not donate today. Even so, I wanted to say thank you to every one of the staff members that I felt with. Special thanks to Tony. He was ultra friendly and incredibly professional. Even though he was busy, he made sure that everyone was being taken care of. It's great to see such a wonderful staff.
My husband and I come twice a week, he donates, I don't, but I wait for him so i get to experience the goings on of the day to day here. Most all the staff is amazing, they provide pizza and do fun events where you can win cool prizes all month long. The only small complaint I have is sometime the bank card they load funds onto doesn't always work.
Anyone who gave this place 5 stars must have gotten something out of it because I donate here like 4 times a month and have been for about a year now, and every SINGLE time I go, it's a horrible experience. They NEVER answer the phone. (I just called 8 times in a row and no one answered) And every time I go there, it takes forever to be taken care of because all the staff is too busy talking to each other or eating to do their jobs. Not even to mention my first time there, it took 7 hours just for them to
Went in on Tuesday and literally finished the whole process within an hour. (Idk why but my blood flows out quick) but no one was there when I got there so that deff played a part. The staff is always super friendly and funny. Candace has to be my favorite. I'm always happy to see her when she works because she never sticks me more than once and always gets me on the first time. She is always super fast and on top of her work. She makes my experience that much better. Thank you all for what you do.
It was my first visit. It was very busy. I had to fill out paperwork, take a photo, check my blood pressure, answer questions about medications and get a physical. Although time consuming, all the staff was doing their job and being thorough. Straight to the point as they should be. I appreciated all the staff and their attention to detail. I finally got approved and went in to the plasma center. They found my vein and I barely felt it. Easy and painless. Then I got $60 for my first visit. About 5 hours all
Awesome place. Friendly and helpful staff. I had an issue one time where I didn't get paid and they made sure it got fixed the very next day, they even called me to make sure everything was right. Good people. Easy money and you are helping people in need.
If I could I'd rate this place no stars! I waited over two hours and no body would ask me if I needed help until I went up to them myself. Employees are just standing around and gossiping instead of helping guests. Very ignorant and ghetto attitudes and no body seems to care about their job. It was a simple question to be asked and it took hours to just answer it. Get new staff and supervisors that actually care about what plasma does for people. I'm surprised this place isn't shut down or fined for the po
BPL is wonderful! Always a pleasure to see ALL of your Staff. At the front door I am greeted with smiles, my pulse usually runs high and everyone does everything they can to get it lowered which almost always works. When I see medical Jo Jo and Ms. Eileen are always great. The managers are always kind caring and helpful and when I get tot he donation floor your phlebotomists are professional and sweet. I have jumping rolling veins and they stick me right every time. Other places have given me hematomas. No
I interact with storm here a lot . She's always in a good mood and like she wants to be here. Any time I've asked her a question she's been able to answer, and if she wasn't completely sure she went and got the information for me. Really great at her job and lobe to walk up to the window and see her in it !
Absolutely unprofessional and the worst experience I've ever had at any medical facility. I have visited this place twice, and both times staff seem distracted or totally scatterbrained. No one knows what to do, no one seems trained, and no management is ever present front and center. This was our second visit, and it was as bad as the first. There were phlebotomist staff without masks on during a pandemic horse-playing in the waiting area. Other staff were doing scratch off lotto tickets right in the lobb
Answer your freaking phones. I live 40 minutes away and have driven out here twice now with the intent to donate and both times it's been a wasted round trip that could have been avoided if someone would have just answered the dang phone. Either that or hey, how bout this, call new donors the day before their scheduled appointment to make sure they have everything. Since supposedly your phones don't work right now, which I don't believe, I think your employees just don't want to have to answer calls or deal
Wait time is terrible even for returning customers ALWAYS not enough staff in the 1st part after the questioner 4 windows and only 2 windows or 1 open and people who are there are always turning off the light making the process longer .when you get to back are the head 2 Employees female and a male in the back in charge are always against each other trying to find fault in each other.you can feel the stress in the air. Everyone looks so miserable most of the times. They are not to experience in situations t
I went to donate plasma earlier today but as soon as I walked in there I changed my mind immediately after seeing not only the long lines of people but the fact that they all stand in line to go into the donation room which was just very reminiscent to me of cows lining up for Slaughter. While the receptionist was very nice after standing around for a few minutes and seeing the cleanliness or rather lack thereof as well as the general Vibe of the people standing in line I changed my mind immediately and le
I would give them more stars, but there are a few here who apparently like playing games and making you go back through the line. Ask me today what was on the flyer you take when you come in. I said the risks! There's like 500 on there She said he one. I was like are you kidding ? Puts me at the back of the line, then I get back up there and she tells me to go to medical cause I answered 1 question wrong. Now I'm at back of line again! Last time I had to go to back of line via medical because it took them
The facility is very clean. It is cold as it should be since it is a medical procedure. The staff is professional and very courteous, I felt very comfortable. The phlebotomist performed a wonderful job on locating my vein and inserting the needle, I had no bruising at all. The process was explained thoroughly. I enjoyed watching a movie while I donated. As a first time donor I was there approximately 3 hours, which I feel is reasonable since I have been a blood donor in the past and any process such as th
I always have the best experience when I come in. The staff is always friendly and nice. I love to to see Justin and Vanessa when I come in. They both have a great sence of humor and great personalites. I love coming here.
Christina did my first donor intake and she was super helpful, professional and had a great attitude!
Vanessa and Jillian are fabulous Super funny friendly and do there job efficiently and it's never painful
Fox is the best worker in Reception. She is always going above and beyond what she's aloud to do in her area I guess. She always treat's us Donor's like we are regular people and not that we are just donating plasma like others. I know that you are going to loose on of your best employee's at BPL Plasma if some issues aren't taking care of, I told her something I overheard when she wasn't there and was so disappointed in other employees for what they were saying since I have seen Fox help everyone. Sorry b
I will not go back to this location again. Experience has gotten gradually worse. Totally apathetic staff with ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE OF URGENCY ABOUT THEM WHEN IT GETS BUSY. Manager came out when things got busy and I was hoping it would speed things up, however it did not have any effect at all as the manager just joined in the lollygagging and gossiping with the other employees. It is blatantly obvious that these employees hate their job and it manifests itself in the way they treat thier customers. I don'
I had a great experience when I was there had a friendly helper named Cristina I'd definitely be back
I'm not sure why you are so cheap with the help, or saying the staff is bad but you continue to run understaffed constantly bringing new doners in. This was originally the main reason I switched facilities a few months ago was because of centers being so tight on payroll. PAY Your people and they will show up for work, if you don't have enough help do not open until you get properly staffed. It's the only proper way to operate a business
Was nervous coming here, but ended up being a great experience. New donor so it took from about 9-1245 to do everything. Everyone was nice, the phlebotomist did a painless stick and made me feel comfortable. Will go again when ready!
This is a nice clean facility, but some of the staff is very rude, lacking people skills, and not very professional, the donor hub does not work right all the time so you can't login to save time, they act like they don't care when you tell them, talking down to you, and when their closed they don't even notify you, they let you make a blank trip up to their facility to see it's closed, the donor hub is supposed to text you and tell you they closed but it didn't , I made a blank trip...??
With today's experience at BPL, I had a blood tester in the booth with a major bad attitude, and she told me I needed to have a health check up. The worker who gave me the physical was down to earth and nice as pie. So it all depends who you deal with here as to say how your experience will go.
I first donated about a month ago and gave this place 5 stars. Yesterday I went to donate and once you get into a bed the normal wait time is about 30 minutes or so. however yesterday (mind you I went in to donate plenty of time in advance before I had to pick up my children from daycare) I was waiting in a bed for over an hour. they were not understaffed. no one even came to set my machine up until after I had been sitting there for an hour. people that came in AFTER me were getting their donation started
I have never experienced or seen a worse transition take place in any business. BPL was bought by Grifols and the transition has been nothing short of horrible! Closing early due to staffing issues, closing in the middle of the day for system maintenance, all causing donors problems with transportation and scheduling. Can't wait until they get it together!
I used to donate plasma years ago. I received a postcard saying they needed donations. I thought I would give it a try. Came in Wednesday, and spent 2 1/2 hours, and still did not get a chance to donate. There was 1 employee that was professional. The others either had an attitude that they were doing me a favor, or were standing about, ignoring me, and instead laughing and talking with co-workers. Bathroom was out of toilet paper, and it seemed like a MAJOR problem to the employees, as to where to get toil
This place sucks, the staff is so slow & always has a bad attitude as if they don't want to work. The wait time is so ridiculous you would think they forgot about you. They rarely give bonuses anymore or prizes it's not as cool as it used to be. If I didn't need extra cash I would definitely not waste my time donating at this location period!
As a professional in Pinellas County, I attempted to do something good other than volunteer at Bay Pines. I arrived at BPL around 730, understandably, being a first time there would be a lot of paperwork. But almost immediately you could tell the process as unorganized, not to mention understaffed and not having the facilities to manage a large group. I find it behooving that the bottom line has grown into reducing efficiency, and I imagine reducing people who could participate; as I did not have a day to w
Sooooo much better than their competition 100% hands down. Polite, courteous and respectful from the moment you call in. Joe was fantastic whom I spoke with. Once we get there the entire staff is great with the exception of the curly haired light skinned girl in the Express line booth who was too busy taking Instagram pics to answer a quick question my husband had and told him to just wait in line. Besides her, CSL Plasma PLEASE take notes because you SUCK!
Alot of people cut the line and staff do nothing. Seemed understaffed.when your done there is no first person done gets disconnected, seems like they randomly pick someone. Be prepared to wait along time. Staff is always pleasant, but wish there was more of them during peak hours. Nobody ever at reception desk. Really hard to get a person to answer the phone, took 5 trys.
I never donated before and I don't think I will because of this experience. I arrive about 8:15 and there was no one at the front desk, also no sign saying what I need to do. So go in line for the kiosk, which I waited in for about an hour. Then I found out I had to speak to someone at the front desk, but no one was there. As I was waiting for someone to help me some guy tried cutting in line and people just started screaming at each other. That when someone finally came out to help people. I walk out at th
Disrespectful staff with poor communication skills and impatience towards new donars. They will let experienced qualified donars walk out the door due to their ineptitude and poor management. They assume your financially desperate so they talk down to you. Their process is also redundant and they ask unnecessary questions. If you depend on plasma to survive you'll die waiting on this facility. Btw they're ungrateful for the plasma you donate. Never will I ever go there. I wasted my time.
This place is awesome. I was very nervous the first time I thought about donating, but going to this center changed my idea and perspective on how and what donating was. All because the staff made it comfortable and professional. Come check this place out if your looking to give back to your community and make some $cash$ come check out Clearwater BPL.
First time was Monday and the experience was Great! I must say the staff makes the time go by and fun as they discuss sports. They even engage donors in the convos. There is a manager(not sure) but I love her upbeat personality and whenever she walks onto the donor floor, always speaks with a loud, Goodmorning! I was pleased with the encounter and for a quick few bucks to catch up on bills, it was well worth it! Also the plasma is used for great purposes so I think I will be back.
Called in before I came so i could make sure I had everything I needed, got there and they said they couldn't take me after 2pm even though I called after 2pm but i suppose the rules are the rules. Came in again and after going through the whole screening process approximately 2 and a half hours, they told me that the could not issue me a card and therefore could not move forward because they couldn't find the manager that could issue me a card and didn't know when he would be back. They told me to wait or
Would give this place no stars if I could. I went in and signed in and it was an hour before anyone even spoke to me. It seems like only 4 people work there as the line barely moved in that hour. Will never go back there. CSL is a much better experience. It doesn't take nearly as long, that's for sure.
I found my experience here to be professional, courteous, and very informative. My intake was processed thoroughly and very smoothly. I presented the proper identifications needed for processing, went through the routine screening flawlessly, and was done quickly without incident. Piece of cake! It must be said to those who wish to participate: REMAIN. PATIENT. I'm seeing far too many reviews written by rude and selfish individuals who likely had the idea in mind that it would be a quick in-and-out process
This place will be shut down by the state of Florida. 1. Conflict of interest :they are related... Does not care about your scedule 2. Fraud:The phone reception is s criminal ( Male Caucasian brunette )(can artist)rude...lies...about service time ...multiple occasions... 3. Immaturity :They switched appointment times upon arrival, bases on what you look like other patron arrived after... It is not by law , you can have any style of attire on. 4. Promiscuse and unprofessional : The people who works there
Some of the girls on staff are great (like Li) but the vast majority of the staff is incompetent and unprofessional, sometimes even extremely rude. The wait is always eternal. God forbid you have an issue while donating, because all the thots are either chit chatting with each other or swarmed around any donating dude thats halfway good looking. These people sell your vials for over $1000 and take advantage of desperate impoverished folks.
Place is not very clean. Be prepared to take up residence there the wait is ridiculous. Rare occasion that you will be done in an hour and a half. Give yourself about 3 hrs. If you take ANY kind of prescription it's an absolutel Hell. You will have to check in and wait in line for them to put you in the cue and then you will have to sit in a line outside the medical supervisors office for them to click a button on their computer. You then have go to the back of the line and wait again for someone at the kio
great customer service, knowledgeable staff who love and enjoy their employment... Exceptionally clean location , with all new equipment . Lobby , check in area & restrooms clean I am appreciative to all the staff. Tony , Lex , Justin , Rhonda , Erica Lex , Tony ,
I have been going there for a while. It seems as if they are not as busy as they have been, so the process is faster and more efficient. They have, even those who may seem to have an attitude, always acted professionally. They have modified their processes in accordance with local and National concerns, and by their actions and procedures, accept only those who are clean, drug and disease free. This assures good plasma going in, and a quality set of sera, globulins, factors and albumin coming out. In o
Jerdanny went above and beyond in helping me navigate the website and set up my account. Most grateful
My experience initially was okay at BPL the first day I went in there was a pleasant gentleman at counter as well as woman. I initially pointed out to the gentleman that the date was incorrect on their sign in sheet and he laughed and said they had been doing it for the "past month". I was a little disturbed by that. So I go back and watch video and read everything and I'm sent into a room where I fill out a screen. The woman says she will be back but doesn't ever come back. I flag someone down eventually i
I just donated today and my experience was AWESOME!!! The staff was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient! I referred a friend through the referral program and we will be coming back! (The wait looks long but they get you in and out!)
It's always something with this place. I check my blood pressure before I go because they seem to always have problems with their blood pressure cuffs giving wrong readings the staff is very unprofessional and half of them don't even know how to stick you properly. I will never step foot in this place again.
Encountered a few issues: both times it was the person sticking me was inexperienced instead of asking and experienced person for help he just continued stick in the hell out of me until both of my arms were bruised and I wasn't able to donate for 2 weeks. Tony the manager, compensated me slightly for the situation because I was not able to donate for two weeks until the bruising went down. One was due to urges continuously poking me the other was she didn't put the needle in far enough and was pushing bloo
I've been donating for a few years now at the Clearwater center ..The staff is very friendly and professional. It nakes for the experience very comfortable one. Singling out Kayla as being my favorite on staff. She expresses the old saying " I love my Job" . She is helpful in every area. Even while on breaks she aids with info or directions. Always shows courtesy yet in control of the flow and floor She has a knack for remembering clients names as well. This makes the cause and experience inviting to return
Staff never answer the phone. The transition to grifols is an absolute joke, they needed paperwork from a surgery that was 17 years ago to be faxed over for them to accept it, yet their fax system wasn't even online. Needed this paperwork before I could donate yet I've already donated probably 80 times with bpl. Maybe if people would do their job and answer the phone things would get done.
I just did my first donation and I have to say they were great! I would have given 5 stars but it really took all damn day before I actually donated. My next donation should be MUCH faster and they pay well!!
I called ahead of time to ask a question & the question indicated that I was a new donor. Once I arrived, I was told that they weren't accepting new donors & that he would let me speak to a medical supervisor so I could get the answer to my question. The female I spoke to on the phone could have told me that they weren't accepting new donors, so I didn't waste my time or gas. After telling me that I needed to speak with a medical supervisor & they would get one for me to speak to, I waited for an hour & ha
I love this place for plasma donation. They make the experience fun and you get paid well for your plasma. Anytime I have anxiety the staff helps me. Mallory is the best medical technician receptionist. She's always efficient and super fun when pricking my finger and taking my vitals before plasma. And if your scared they have super experienced phlebotomists.
These people are good at their jobs. Im real relaxed when i go an haven't had no issues. They do something different each month on top of bonuses like raffles or pizza.
Ryan is such a caring compassionate thoughtful in customer service 5 star all the way. Ronique very professional great job team Grifols Clearwater
This place had made a major improvement over the years which is why I started coming back but looks like it is going back to hiring unprofessional rude inexperience people that act like they are doing me a favor. I work a full time job I dnt need to donate. I was given attitude because I asked someone to change there gloves. I don't work in the medical industry and I know its proper procedure to change your gloves when your going from one person to another. When I informed the manager she gave me a dry look
The staff here is great! Last time I was there they played StarWars and then we listened to the Fugees which made the process 100x enjoyable. When the provide some sort of entertainment the process is better ?? Justin is a great Phleb as well and is super sweet! I highly recommend this donation center!
Had to wait a while and it was a little aggravating, but the phlebotomist made it all better. Very polite and they do a great job. Especially Anthony!!! Very kind, funny, and his stick was painless. Will def be heading back
Don't go to this one, they rip you off your money. They argue with you saying they paid you but they don't. They've done this to me 3 times already and the 3rd one is the last strike. I will never go here again, such rip offs and they never pick up the phone!??
Staff are very kind, nice, friendly, gentle, efficent, and knowledgeable. If a staff member is asked questions they give great helpful answers or direct us to another staff member (such as medical manager) that does have appropriate answer. This location also has fun events that reward clients with prizes and additional monetary incentives.
I gave my 7th donation here today and it did not go as planned. I asked to try my bad arm for the process, and she did. It didnt work out and she explained that only a small percentage of people have 2 good arms. Great teamwork! Ive observered that the only thing that occasionally slows up the process are the donors, not the employees that are simply doing their job. Keep up the great work!
I went there and they said people can't donate because they're understaffed and with the amount of people inside they'd already have to stay later. Who's fault is that? Theirs! They should hire more people to be better prepared.
I was unable to donate because someone with the same information came up in the system that donated the day before me and the new trainee did not uncheck my name from the system so it marked me as unable to donate and I spoke to the head manager and he was unable to work with me and I am a regular.
This place is awful. Got there early as a new donor, had a piece of mail, my social, my drivers license, everything. After an hour of waiting they told me my information wasn't good enough and they needed more mail. This place has no set standards; their employees talk to you like you're stupid and incompetent, and their advertising makes you believe you'll be okay with just one piece of mail and your basic identification information. Save yourself the frustration and go to CSL plasma in Pinellas Park. The
Every time I go it's a very good atmosphere. Everyone is professional Justin and Ivy make it fun and enjoyable. Wish I could donate every day.
I went here today and 6 employees were standing around doing nothing and was told I had to make an appointment more than a week out. There was no line just workers sitting doing nothing. Trash. Dont ever go here. They dont take walk-ins.
Look for the most part they are cool...... But they have One sissy.... Not a gay man or a transgender I'm sure gays a trans have bigger balls than this kid.... So all I have to say is just joke with the girls it's safer .....
I've gone here the past year and my first time being a plasma donor I got to say I really enjoyed the experience! The staff are professional and I always get great feedback when I go in here! I would recommend this facility to anybody that is new to donating and hope that this place continues to strive.
Their pay changes every month. The month of October you will not get a referral fee and they actually reduce your donut fee and they do not give a bonus for a certain blood type like most donor places do. I was supposed to get new donor pay for five visits after 3 they paid me regular fee .these people do not pay correct. They chang the pay every month.
I visited their website yesterday and read everything, including the online guide to donating. The guide says you do not need to make an appointment; just come in during business hours. This place is open from 8am-6pm. So I went today at 11am. I figure the "morning rush " will be winding down by then. I tell them that I am a new donor and haven't donated in about 3 years. He proceeds to tell me that they are not accepting new donors today and that I should come back on Tuesday or Thursday before 8am to have
This is a great center with professional, experienced and kind staff. It's clean and proficient. They have excellent bonus programs for new donors and pay for continued donations thereafter. I recommend :)
Besides the fact that the staff are a bunch or snobs and make it obvious they do not like the job it is a very clean place with a nice lobby. After all it should be a very nice lobby considering unless you go to the facility as soon as they open you will be waiting for hours just for them to give you some bullshit excuse for why they cannot have you donate on that day. And if your are to show up everyday around the same time (not as soon as they open)they will continue to give you bullshit excuses for why y
I can't say much yet, but today i went in being my first time as a donor.... It took me about 4 1/2 hrs staff wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't bad either.... Overall they are alright! No complaints or problems what so ever! ? hope things go like today every time i will have to go in ??
Since changing to appointments ONLY, this place is HORRIBLE. Never enough staff. 4 times in the last 4 weeks, I had to wait 45-60 minutes WITH AN APPOINTMENT.
I go here a lot. The crew working here is first rate. Audi Storm, Trip, the whole group is amazing. Always upbeat, professional, and very kind.
If you don't mind coming in at opening time and waiting 5 or 6 hours watching those who come after go ahead of you then sure why not. After 5 hours I still did not get to donate. So if you really really need the money and don't mind wasting a full day then have at it.
This isn't my first experience in donating plasma so it's not like I don't know how issues should be handled. First off, they are SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED. And most are not trained very well, in my opinion. I am guessing that most are not trained in 'customer service' not 'bed-side manners'. I know I have difficult veins (small and like to roll) but if I get a phlebotomist who is better with difficult veins like mine, I usually have a smooth donation experience. But none of them will refer me to a different e
Super fast first time donor procedures. The team here was fast and effective. Had no problem getting a good stick and smooth donation. Also the compensation is way more than anywhere else.
I have already been charged almost 18 dollars this year for monthly fees! $6.50 this last month! Not including the .50 they charge you Everytime you use the card! Going to ask a lawyer today if they can force me to receive payments through this card only! The time before last they said rain was why we wasn't getting paid! I finally confronted wirecard with the law, and wirecard admitted it was their fault! They have less than a star rating! You have to click one star to leave a review. No good reviews at al
Justin was vary nice and welcoming he goes above and beyond to make each and every persons visit personal and he leaves you with a smile a laugh or even a tear from laughing so hard I appreciate him and glad he is part or the team rohanda was just as wonderful if it ranged from a good morning with a smile a quick response to your needs also she is vary aware of her position and what needs to be done to keep the flow of the businesses going
Spoke with Charles on the phone about the new donor process he was very timely and very helpful. I have been to this location a while back and I have never had any issue. Very clean and well maintained. Keep up the good work. ????
I've never had any issues going there. Maybe have a few more people working up front but besides that it's good. Very fun and kind staff.
I have been here since 7:45 am and it is now 1:56 pm and I'm stust waiting to get a physical after being passed arounf from person to person. It's ridiculous how no one seems to know if/when you've signed in and then have you sit down only to forget yourey there. If my friend didn't need money so bad I would have walked out long ago
I work for subway and my fiancee went here to donate and was told because he could not read or write he could not donate . He was in an unfortunate accident himself years back and almost died which is why he can not read or write. He was humiliated and embarrassed. When he asked to speak to a supervisor he wasn't permitted to and was told that the supervisor said the same thing. I guess u need a college education to donate. This occurred on December 20, 2018. We will be contacting 8 on your side. If you hav
Mixed review. Yes, you are doing a good deed by giving plasma. Be prepared to spend two to three hours in an uncomfortably cold environment. I have waited that long before without even being taken back to donate. I don't know what's happened to the pay, but you used to get more. My donations are only $20, so it actually costs me financially to be a donor; I make nearly that an hour. I think I'll stick to donating blood which I can squeeze in on my lunch break. It is not so agonizing and physically draining.
This was my first time coming in to donate my blood. Not only did I pay a taxi to take me there and home , I will never recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn't even bring my pet there. Very unprofessional, very inconsiderate , rude worker's. I would never be that way towards my customer's. After all having customer's it what gets me paid. I am very hurt over the way I was treated. Zero star's. I would be ashamed to be in charge of this place.
Is half a star or no stars a possibility? You walk in expecting a fast and sleek donating process...but are faced with waiting for 3-4 hours...understaffed isn't even a good word to describe it...not to mention that apparently only a select few have the training to do a needle stick so when you finally get sat down, its another 30 minutes before you get to actually donate...I arrived at noon, completed my questions about 10 minutes later...then 30-45 minutes of waiting in line cuz only one booth for prereqs
Today 1/10/18, is the worst so far. There are only 2 staff on the floor. The line to even get to the donor floor is backed up to a 3 hour wait. Looking at the floor , there are 5 people waiting to be stuck who have been waiting for an hour. How can this even be legal? This location has let staff go without replacing them. From a medical manager position, this location needs a major overhaul. Thank you!
Just found out it is against the law for bpl to force you to use their (global cash card) . or whatever they using now! They have to use yours if requested! Which i did twiced! Once while recording conversation! They are done now! Filing criminal charges
Some of the staff is great and some just look miserable to be there. Overall the management is great. Sometimes the wait can be lengthy but it's usually worth the wait to save a life.
Grifols staff is very friendly and professional especially Vanessa which has been extraordinary
I feel the ladies in the front of very rude. The people in the back the phlebotomist are very nice very wonderful people. They're the reason I returned. Justin and JoJo are awesome
All the guys and girls that work here are awesome Julie is the best
Man staff is friendly Lee made sure and mallory made sure I was comfortable definitely would do it again to save a life great place to go donate and help others in need and Lisa definitely was the best cheese curds coming up......
First time takes about 3 hours, after that less than 2 hours, most times about 1.5 hours. Not bad for fast money and something that helps people! Friendly staff. Bring a jacket or blanket, it gets cold!
Excellent Staff, they are my family. Very comfortable
Once you are allowed in, after answering the questionnaire, You stand in line say 15 minutes or more for them to check your Blood, Pulse and Temperature, once they ok that, then you stand in line to give Plasma. BPL is changing to GILFORDS. MY recommendation Don't Go there! The place and personnel have changed. DON'T GO THERE! WORST PLACE EVER!
Thanx so much Mr. Thomas for giving me a better understanding on my protein sample. Really brighten up my day they that you took time out to explain and laugh alil with me. Happy New Year & Be Blessed?
Great people but they need more workers. There are times ill be done but yet im still sitting there waiting for an extra 20 mins just to get pay out. But other then the short staff i dont mind the people. (Im here now and im still waiting to get poked 20mins later
I haven't been there n 5 years and the black girl said I would only get 35 dollars
I've donated at many places and this one isn't that bad. Sure, lines can get long (at any plasma donation center), but they do have knowledgeable staff and their policies are the same as any other place.
Extremely dirty, unsanatized. Finger prints all over the place. People are not wearing their mask right. Donors are coughing and rubbing their nose. Donors act and look dope sick. A very disturbing and grose experience. Do not go here to donate plasma..you will be disappointed..
Since when do they "Only do new donors as appointments." There's no one else here waiting to be screened and I am a returning "New Donor" an hour before closing but you turn me away. This was supposed to help me get my kids food for the weekend. Bullsh!t. I'm furious.
Donating Plasma is not only good for medical research and development but it also puts a little confused cash in your pocket everytime you donate. The procedure takes anywhere from 45 min to 1 1/2 hour. With being able to donate twice a week really can help with the extra cash.
I give this place a big zero, when they were doing my vain check, I told the person who was doing my vain check, that my vain are light, deep and that my vain roll, so the person who did the vain check didn't bother felling for my vsins to find them instead they just put a rubber band on my arm and tied it around my arm, who does that? Other plasma places I go to fill on your arm for a vsin. I'm not even going to bother becoming a new donor what a waste of time. ?????
I love donating here! The staff is very professional! Shout out to Tony and Eileen! You guys are awesome! Shout out to the staff for being sooo awesome!!!
I have not gone to this location or donated before, but was wondering what you need to bring to become a diner and what the compensation is? I am very interested in helping others while making a little extra cash during these very hard times.
Really nice staff usually in and out but of course there's going to be busy times, no more than others. Really great atmosphere.
I love all the technicians there, so friendly! This is my 113th donation
Staff here are very nice and polite the facility is very clean..
Quick easy and painless way of making extra spending money AND helping people while your at at it! First went because I was short on a bill but have continued to go because of helping others and gives me extra "me" money
For the most part it's a good place. MOST of the staff is friendly, but hey if you need a few extra bucks before payday or cuz you're not working, it comes in handy.
??SERENA?? one of the best poker in Pinellas County when I'm with her I feel comfortable I feel like I'm safe I feel like I'm in good hands and I never feel any pain she is the the best I recommend her to everyone ?????????
Great place that helps a lot of people. Be honest just wish they gave out more money to the donors. Considering what they make per bottle. But it's still a great a place.
The place is very clean and very thorough and staff is great. It takes a bit longer than expected but that's not their fault. It's a good business and busy place so it's expected
Awesome service ?? Donate at Biomat!!! WUTANG ??
Employees asked me mailing address give them paper with mailing address and say still not acceptable. 50 bucks for 3 hours of waiting p.o.s employees waisting people time
Eileen is wonderful. She is very helpful and ty. She is the best! Deserved a raise! Even gives u a hug from a pug..lol.
I actually look forward to seeing Serena and James ,Ann and Jojo And Demi is like my little sister. I feel good from donating and getting to hang with friends????????
Terrible place to donate, very unprofessional. They do random drug tests instead of testing everybody which is GROSS. Someone can come in with disease or drugs in their system and still donate. They don't keep place clean and sanitary. Unpleasant expirence. If you're looking for a place to donate here is not the place.
All staff are very professional. Specially to the gentleman Mr. Kwon. You are very good at your job sir. Thank you for your service.
They are extremely friendly and professional. The place is very clean. The only problem I have is they rarely answer the phone.
The staff is really great. They are very professional. Donating plasma is a good way to earn some extra money while saving lives.
Everyone was very nice. The entire staff was quick and efficient. I was there on 9/30 early morning shift.
i love this place love the staff they are great never had a issue and if i did they are quickly to resolve the issue so i am happy to be apart of BPL and i will cont to bring ppl in to saves lives thank you BPL u have been great.
They are for the most part great,,,,but they are cheating many people out of the VIP promo from July out of the blue and said nothing to anyone until the 2nd of August the week VIPS get 50$ or gift card for their first donation of the month,,, there are alot of regular donors that are up set about it these donors are the ones that keep new donors walking in the door and deserve to be treated fairly if any,,,,they should of ended the VIP promo in the end of June not the week everyone from the last month was
This places is awesome the staff are all cool they are all funny and respectful always ... one thing is always busy but that's OK cause it kills time ....
Shout outs to Justin, Kelly and the smooth needle of Rhonda. Last, but not least the amazing Vanessa...
THIS IS ONLY a 5 star review for the afternoon crew MORNINGS are torturously slow and disorganized there will be ONE person checking vitals while the donation floor is staffed full of folks who want nothing to do with vitals and the best part is watching the person infront of you end right back up in the recheck line because they're blood pressure is do high from the painfully and frankly stupid processes a lack of strong administrative management and poor scheduling leads me to one star a morning experien
Awesome staff all around it's clean and they are friendly staff with bonuses there more u donate
Don't bother trying to go as a new donor UNLESS you have time to waste driving up there to set an appointment. "Phones are down" has been the excuse FOR MONTHS.
The staff is great, they are friendly and out going ! I highly recommend going here for donating. Every time I come here there is no line and I get right in and out.
been waiting to be seen for about an hour - if they don't get additional staff I will find another place to donate!
All the associates at the Clearwater location are professional, kind and courteous, especially Pauline, Justin and Vanessa .
cristina gave me a million dollars and saved my family out of a house fire!!!
Great place! Ronique, Vanessa, Lex and Devin are the best and always make it fun when I donate!
Justin is the best Grifols had here he is curtious and had gentle hands and a great Sense of humor luv him
Hardly ever a wait, Awesome staff they always try to get everyone done in a quick and professional way.
Always a great place to donate. Today, I had Justin and Jerdanny help me and they were both very professional and friendly.
Very friendly staff and lots of great promos. Chair bingo was awesome..$25 extra if they call your donation chair number
Staff is very nice & it's great to no that you are helping someone in need of plasma. Place is clean & they pay well.
Most disorganized intake system I have ever dealt with. These guys could teach the DMV about how to make people waste their time.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
