Optimum has excellent wireless internet capabilities when it's on but sometimes the internet will drop unexpectedly. The recent drop took 2.5 days to fix even after getting a new modem on the second day of no service. Once the service was finally up there was an optic fiber damaged that caused 2 more days of no WiFi. I commend the men who stayed out all night to get it fixed but optimum must do better. Suddenlink internet very unreliable. The internet goes in and out daily making it unusable, tech support will work you through the standard power cycle modem. Techs has been out serveral times but they can only work from the house to the the drop, the problem is within the network as a whole but no fixes or updates come out. 1 gig internet should ru. On a docsis 3.1 system however SL runs it backwards compatible on docsis 3.1 and its causes all types of issues with lack of bandwidth overloaded nodes etc.
