I arrived 20 mins early to my appointment and 2 people got to go before me and had later appointments. One of the girls has told me to go sit down in the donor room. Sat in the donor room for over an hour. Ended up getting up because I saw other people getting up and asking questions. Told her my appointment was at 2:30 and it was then 3:30. Her reply was ?you are super late? um no I was sitting in the room the ENTIRE time. Told me if she was being honest it was going to be another hour and a half wait. Ver
3rd visit now, compared to other places I've donated, this has to be my least favorite. They pay better than the others, but you need patience if you'll be donating here. It's by appointment only, and availability is usually with a day or two in advance. Employees seem to be very busy so I won't take it personal that I wasn't setup on a first come first serve basis (Someone behind me was hooked up before me and I got skipped) ...waited about 15 minutes before I was even stuck. Oh, and waited about 20 to get
After meeting all other requirements and spending 1.5 hrs going through the initial screening process and being honest and answering a medical issue, THEN the nurse springs on me that I will be required to provide a medical form from my Dr telling Biolife that I am compliant. That info would have been good to know before going in. And now I have had my time wasted. Do not trust them and please lie about any conditions as they will discriminate and waste your time.
I really don't understand the point of making appointments if you don't actually get seated to start the procedure at LEAST an hour after your appointment. Never staffed correctly and unfortunately the center employees are not to blame it's the executives that never spend time in the centers that are worried about their data they have to hit to make sure the higher ups get their bonuses
Absolutely horrible. They pricked my finger and made me go through the questionnaire only to tell me I couldn't donate because of a medical condition that does not prevent me from donating whole blood. This is my second time here. I talked to Marc, and he was condescending and extremely rude. Asked me what my goal was, I said it was to obviously donate plasma. Told me I needed my meds approved by a doctor before I can donate. Then told me I could either wait while he dealt with other people who were going t
There app and appointment system need some serious work.. Beware if you have not donated in a while. When I started coming to BioLife it was breezy and an easy experience. I haven't donated for a while so decided to book an appointment. I picked a date and time on the BioLife app and when I show up I'm told I need a physical.. It had not been a year since my last one but they explained they needed an updated one before I could donated again since I had a lapse in consistency. They had a nurse on site, Maria
Employees seem happy to help, management walks around with an arrogance of importance. No team work, no camaraderie, no words of encouragement. Also, I witness on numerous occasions no communication for new patients, I was in for an annual check up told to "stand here" then nothing for 35 minutes? I was standing there feeling like an idiot, as what I believe to be professionals walking around with no regard for explaining the process. Just because you see and understand the process does not mean someone exp
My last returning visit (I think 9th time) I was at the facility for almost three hours. My check-in went fairly smooth, however the line and number of Individuals waiting to donate was crazy long. It wasn't clear why but it was truly disappointing they individuals had to wait that long, it was about an hour and 45 minutes before I was able to get assigned a section. Once there I waited another 25 minutes to be hooked up to donate.
The staff here are amazing and kind. Their systems are very easy to use for questionnaire and the app. Staff is really gentle with the needle and well trained. Wait times aren't bad at least the times I've gone and regardless I plan for 2 hours just in case. The machines are new and people look like they enjoy their job. I highly recommend them!
Went through the process of signing up. Went for my first appointment did the whole process up front. Did the process where my vitals were taken. At the vitals station my arms were checked. Did the 15 minute questionnaire. Was told to wait to do my physical. When the nurse came to get me she then told me I can't donate because you can't have tattoos within an inch of where they draw from. I was there 45 mins had my arms checked and everyone there could see my tattoos. I should have been told right a
This company I believe discriminated against me for having a facial deformity. 2 injuries in 3 donations. I don't recommend this company. The employees look hateful and I didn't feel safe at all. I saw another person having a medical emergency during my last time being injured and not able to donate (or get paid) so don't come here for your safety is my experience.
My first experience lasted about 3 hours that was because of the intake they do a physical check your eyes your ears your blood your blood pressure, your weight ask you some questions and so on and so forth there's a questionnaire you have to fill out everything is very private they take you into your own room ask you some more questions about your medications and so on and so forth when all of that is done they take you to the front of the line so you are next to donate plasma that took me about 30 minutes
Sorry. Gotta give BioLife mgmt an F. They have no idea how hard the workers are working. Or how long we hafta wait to donate. Today I had a 10:40 appt and walked out at 1:50. Not good. Horrible in fact. And that's after three new hirees were brought on. So mgmt just opened up more appt times! Whaaat? They can't keep up w the appts they have? Management-you should rethink your style of ?managing? because it's not a sustainable business model. People are now walking out. Me too.
I've donated twice and completed my physical and the app still only allows me to schedule physical appointments. They lost my sample so I'm unable to donate until they run another sample. Seems like they offer new patient incentives but make them impossible to achieve. I will not be returning.
allegedly they had a recent rule change in regards to tattoos. It says if you haven't had any tattoos within an X amount of months you are able to donate however upon going to the plasma center I'm being told that you must have two bare areas one on each arm that are on tattooed to donate from and when questioning staff about it I was told by a supervisor that it's up to the individual staff member working if they will allow a person to donate or not. There is zero reliability and apparently the rules are o
Way too long to get checked in! Staff is ok, but a few are not friendly. Communication is terrible and a lot of people are confused as to where to stand in line to get checked in. We had new donors standing in the usual donor line that should of been in another line. Ridiculous process. 45 minutes + over my appointment time to begin donating. ??
This would?ve been my first experience I prepared last night everything I needed paper wise and medication list wise. I made sure I drank plenty of fluids, ate a good breakfast and reread everything on the website that I would need multiple times. Once I arrived the mixed blonde haired girl with curls was definitely in a bad mood. She was annoyed that the waiting room door was shut and she couldn't get the door stop in the bottom of it to keep it open and she kept kicking it trying to get it to go in and th
Don't ever expect them to answer the phone when you need assistance. I've called several times and left several voicemails only to get the answering machine over and over again no matter the time or day that you call. I loved donating here and would love to continue in the new state I live in but no one bothers answering your call to assist with the transfer process. Would rate higher if it weren't for this.
The employees I have had direct contact with have been incredible. There are a few I am thankful I have not been in contact with based only on observation. I understand the wait times, although very frustrating - I just plan a minimum of 2 1/2 hours to scroll on my phone. What is causing me to rethink continuing is the fact that a horrible hematoma, that was definitely not my fault, will cause me to lose out on the complete bonus offered in the beginning. I have scheduled all necessary appts, faithfully sho
like this place i already donated twice and i'm gonna keep going too i never knew you could get paid just by donating some of your own plasma i should have done this wayyy earlier
People with mental health difficulties, don't bother. They'll turn you away for having PTSD, that is unless you give a form to your doctor to fill out. And if you ask why, they'll just tell you "it's just part of our policy". Didn't realize there were so many ways having experienced abuse could interrupt life
Don't waste your time here. I waited for an hour only to be told I couldn't donate because I have a tattoo on my arm. Also, your social card is required on first visit which they don't tell you prior to appointment.
Almost always have a pleasant experience! Sometimes the lines can be really long so I tend to book the earliest appointment but the staff are nice and helpful. Currently loving the Mesa AZ location! Also very clean and nice at this location!
One of the workers banged his car door against mine while I was parked inside of the vehicle. When I confronted him about it he just shrugged his shoulders and waved me off. Rude terrible people that think they are superior to their patients.
Place is slow, always behind. Never enough workers in front. Sections full with worker a piece in them so getting hooked or unhooked takes longer than should. I hate going but only do for medical reasons. Experience is bad here
Does a doctor even work for Biolife? I have been waiting for over 2 months to donate and I keep getting the same response. "You have to wait until the doctor clears you!!!" There is NEVER a doctor there to review anything!! I want to donate!! This is so ridiculous!! Is there a doctor in the house???
My time is very unimportant to Biolife. Stand here for an hour, then sit over here to see someone who doesn't show up after 45 minutes, and still haven't even gotten into the queue to donate. You over book and waste peoples time. NOT worth it I'm done
??VITAL SERVICE FOR OUR COMMUNITY?? ??I have had the opportunity to donate > a dozen times now at BioLife Plasma Srvcs and I can't recommend this place enough! Clean, organized & comfortable environment thanks to the amazing hard working staff whom make it their priority to put you at ease. ??I encourage everyone to consider ?? donating plasma because you're directly contributing to life-saving therapies in our community (crucial for immune deficiencies, Banner Desert trauma patients and other valley-wide t
I felt that the staff was very friendly and experienced in their work at this BioLife Donation Center. Throughout the entire process I felt like I was treated with respect and always asked how I was feeling and my answers were acknowledged. Every single step of the process was explained thoroughly and my first assessment and donation went over perfectly in a breeze. I feel like the staff are well trained and I look forward to donating more in the future.
DONT GO HERE, they gave my fianc? two hematomas on two different arms & he was gushing out blood. He told them his right arm wasn't a good arm to prick & they still did it anyways. Then once that arm started to develop a hematoma they went on to the next arm? & he had to tell them something wasn't right for them to do anything? Now he's unable to donate plasma and the facility did not care. don't go here
Very unprofessional donation site they have all kinds of rules for us to get do ation in once your in they take your blood but didn't make us aware that they would not be paying us after donation not just me but all kinds of other people outside in heat waiting to get paid to go about our business and do our errands well now we have no money to do what we got to do like eat or take bus home they should give us extra money why for waiting or let us know before we donate so we have the choice to go to octapha
was left connected to machine after done for 30 mins this is unacceptable and wasnt told that the increased donation would happen for same amount with no increase no acceptable as well will be going to a different place moving forward
Pros: 1. Getting paid for plasma donation 2. Ease of booking, rescheduling, or canceling appointments. 3. Clean and adequately-stocked bathroom (soap, toilet seat covers, and tp). Cons: 1. Long wait. Plan on a minimum of 2 hours. 2. The payment system is through a prepaid credit card, which has fees. For example, $2.75 withdrawal fee, $3/mo. maintenance fee if there's a balance, $1.95 transfer fee, etc. These fees add up if you are a repeat donor on a measly compensation rate. 3. The process for new do
I got a extra 20 for just rescheduling my appointment, they are quick , nice and efficient.
My experience was good the first few times but lately seems they have no one that can stick right. This last visit, I was told had to switch arms which I did and this was about 2 weeks ago and my arms are bruised still
It's a very professional and knowledgeable center. They take great care of you and I feel really good about donating because it really helps people
Be prepared for a three-hour wait. This place is severely understaffed, and there's no clear system in place to manage operations.
By far the worst experience I've ever had at biolife. Center is severely understaffed. And the staff that are here are extremely negligent and negative. They need to do some serious hiring or cut down on the amount of appointments allowed, waiting for over an hour just to be seen is unacceptable. I have never had an experience like this in the Avondale location.
I feel like this place doesn't appreciate your time. They will have one person screening people in with 15 people waiting in line. I've had waits on the weekends of over 3 hours. After I get my first 8 visitors over I'm done donating. My time is more valuable than the $60 dollars they give you. The workers have all been awesome to me though. I'd give it 1 star but the workers bring their score up.
While I appreciate the extra money and the workers are great, it is ridiculous that after making an appointment, it takes hours to donate. It is often 1.5 - 2 hours before I even start donating - and most of that is standing because there aren't many chairs to sit on! They need to limit the number of appointments at a time and get benches or more chairs for donors to sit on. I've been here for three hours at times when the whole process should take less than an hour if it were managed correctly.
I love the nice lady at the front desk with purple hair, and also the nice man in the physical room with green eyes. Very respectful and helpful!
Always the same treatment, I'm never mistreated. All of the staff are great and get along with everyone and will small talk with you when it's your time.
First time here and it is wonderful. Yes, I was on the first stage for awhile. But they took care of me. I used to donate back in the day and it was scary and wired. It has improved so much. Everyone is extremely friendly starting with the receptionist Malinda, the physical nurse and the floor staff Taylor and more. I love that they educated well during the entire process. It is freezing in here. So don't forget your blanket and a good book or phone charger. Looking forward to my next visit.
I don't know what is going on lately but the wait times just keep on getting worse. The poor staff is always so kind and welcoming but they can never catch a break with how many people are always in line. I get why new donors get to skip the line but the scheduling is out of hand when Ive my wait double because there are so many new donors. I've watched new donors enter the building, complete their donation and leave before I even get hooked up for my donation as a regular donor too many times.
Don't go here if you don't like being gossipped about and treated poorly by employees. This is the second time I've gone in and donated and then my husband has gone through separately then me and heard staff members making rude comments about me or other donors. The first time was when I was directed by another donor to go back to the wrong bay, which could have literally been solved by just sending me to the right bay or sending me back to the line. Instead my husband messaged me all the rude comments they
I love this location ( MESA CENTER ) The staff is friendly, professional and it's clean . I forgot my cell phone in my car last time I went to donate . I went outside to retrieve it and was told that since I went outside I was kicked out for the day . This got me really upset . I just stepped out for a second ..... I mean REALLY . But other then that it's my go to place
The staff were very friendly and efficient. The procedures they have in place seem to make the process go fast and smooth. It didn't seem to be a wait in any part of the process. All the employees were completely dialed in and very efficient and I didn't witness any unhappy donors. I thought it would of been a Lil bit chaotic with the number of people there, I was so wrong. I give Melinda in the east Mesa location a 5 Star rating for making my experience truly amazing!
The wait times can be insane at times. With multiple people consistently dropping out of the line early due to the time taken to be seen. I had an experience where I booked my appointment, I came early to be on time, waited to be processed for about an hour and thirty minutes. The staff member, as there was only one person, doing the processing was very slow. The staff member was beckoned over by a fellow staff member. Then I was told, as I was about to be seen, that they were not able to see me. I think th
1st time donor. Great experience. Everyone working here was pleasant from start to finish. I've read other comments where your 1st appointment takes a long time, so I was prepared to be here all morning. My appointment was at 10:15am. I was done at 11:45. Not bad at all. Maybe it was luck, maybe it was a good time slot. Needless to say, I was pleased with my 1st experience and will definitely be coming back. Thank you
Berkeley, one of the phlebotomists that does vitals is so nice! Such a sweet girl! Brittney, Rylie and John are some of the phlebotomists that take your donation. They do a great job and are a pleasure to talk with!
The wait times can be a pain but rhe staff here are incredible. If you're lucky enough to work with Anthony, Vince, Leah, or especially Annaleah you are guaranteed a great experience.
The staff was so busy complaining about the music playing with a line of 13 people waiting to donate. There were entire sections empty that had staff assigned but the employee stood there for 10 minutes complaining. I just don't feel like they value our time.
The line is always immense. And they are incredibly short staffed. Takes 4 hours just to get in and out of there. Not worth the money or time.
Everyone here is SO super nice!! Malinda, Berta, Annaleah, Mark, Skylar, Gio, Vince, Yasmin...and a few more that I don't remember names!! Sorry!! Keep it up guys!!! ?????? ??
Usually a good place to donate plasma. But today when I went in to donate they only had one phlebotomist to get everyone checked in and 20 people waiting in line. I gave myself 2 and a half hours to get this done before work and I was still late. Ridiculous! They need more people working. I shouldn't be spending 3-4 hours here. Also, they never answer the phone. I have questions that I need answered and they will not answer the phone.
They are very nice and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the plasma stuff.
I typically enjoy donating, but with how over-scheduled they have been lately, it is becoming less enjoyable. I had my annual physical scheduled last week and after sitting and waiting for over an hour, I had to leave. Disappointing!
They keep lowering the price they pay for plasma, and I can't ever get through the donation process in less than 2 or 3 hours. When I started, I was told it would be 1 hour to donate. It's becoming not worth it. Maybe there are better plasma donation companies out there.
Staff is very kind and answers questions related to the donation and the debit card reward. Very clean inside and felt safe, I had no bruising.
The intake process was a bit long, but overall experience was great. ???? Staff was very informative and friendly.
This is not a jab at the employees because I've been going for a year now and they've always been super friendly to me. You can tell they are really understaffed. I go early mornings and wait for hours just to finally donate. Maybe it's a scheduling issue, I'm not sure, but some mornings there's only one person up front and only two in the donation area. Hire more people or schedule better. I've thought about walking out a couple of times due to the long wait times. Again, the staff is very friendly, and it
They are under staffed and NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL...no bed side manner what so ever. The employees seem Very unhappy..I have even witnessed employees bickering with each other and two employees actually got pulled off the floor and sent to management office. I also have donated 8 times and only have 400 reward points...... I am very disappointed that I have NOT received any coupons by email but my sister who started at the same time as me had received SEVERAL for 100.00 to 150.00......COMPENSATE BETTER!
Nice people, but it makes no sense to schedule a time and then show up and have it be understaffed to the point where you have to wait 2 hours or more before donating. I have left the facility several times because it was just taking too long. If we schedule, then they should know how many people are coming and be staffed for that. Or if they know how many staff they have, they should only offer schedules times that will allow the staff to serve the clients in a timely way.
I appreciate being able to donate and help others. I also appreciate the compensation I receive, the extra is helpful at this time. However, I do not appreciate the disorganization and employees walking around with their gloves on cross contaminating everything. I do not appreciate waiting in line for 45 minutes for a machine to open up and watch several new donors go ahead of me a many other repeat donors while nurses stand around. Nurses should also be responsible for the new donors appointment, start to
As many, many others have said, the wait times here have been downright ridiculous recently. I used to be able to complete a whole donation?from walking in the doors to walking out the doors?in 45 minutes. Now I'll be lucky to have a seat in the waiting area after 45 minutes. Tried scheduling an early morning appointment?nope, still standing for over half an hour. The employees are always wonderful and very kind (Skylar is perhaps the best phlebotomist I've ever had in my entire life, his needle pokes feel
My first time donating was Wednesday November 20th. The whole process took over 2 hours, but that's because it was my first time. Once I sat down I was hooked up in 5 minutes. Today, two days later I went to the Mesa location because it's closer to my house. The check in was quick and easy. And then.....it is now 30 minutes and I'm still laying here without being hooked up. This kid keeps giving me excuses and then comes and tell me it's because I had to be looked at for a bruise. The nurse looked at it an
Its great you can schedule an appointment time, however when they are regularly understaffed it ends up taking just as long, if not longer, than places without appointments making their unique appointment benefit not helpful after all. Once done donating it takes so long to be unhooked, again low staff. They are trying their best but there is only so much they can do when the lines are so long. Recently there is always a longer line than chairs. I had 2 appointments this week, one was 3 hours and change an
What is the point of having appointment when you still end up being there 3 hours past your appointment time for just a single donation staffing is ridiculous.
The employees at Biolife that I interact with are amazing people. I would give this facility a 5 out of 5, but the management doesn't staff it adequately. It opens at 0600, but a dedicated person to work the front check in area doesn't arrive until 0800. That could be resolved by having them arrive at 0600, or have new donors show up at 0800, when it is staffed. When there isn't a dedicated person there, and new donors show up, one of the 2 people taking vitals and preparing donors for their donation ha
I've been coming to this place for about a year. I like the money so I keep going but it is sometimes a waste of time. Example, I had an appointment at 10:15 and wasn't on a table until 11:30. Usually they don't waste your time that much but 40% of the time they do. They need more staff to help up front and the ones here could benefit from having a better sense of urgency and respect for other people?s time. They just need some help. Friendly and nice people work here but slow moving. If you're a new donor
Okay, update. I've gone to this place 4 times now, and I've come to realize they have a major staffing problem. Someone literally quit as I was waiting in line. If it's your 1st/2nd visit, you'll be prioritized, but after that, you get in the back of the line like everyone else. I understand that they have a staffing problem, but they should really give a heads up or something if you're gonna be standing in line for 2HRS! The staff is nice and it's very clean/professional. Just a side note if you run cold,
The line is always immense. And they are incredibly short staffed. Takes 4 hours just to get in and out of there. Not worth the money or time. The nurse who did my physical was incredibly rude and aloof and spoke down to anyone and everyone she interacted with. And my experience has just gone down hill from there.
The techs who work here at this East Mesa location are amazing! The people or person in charge of scheduling donors is terrible. They are often overloaded with donors while also being understaffed. I have been turned away as early as 6pm when they don't close until 7pm, only to find out that after we all left, those who had later appointments were permitted to donate. Please stop scheduling more donors than they can handle.
I used to love this place, because it ran smooth and customer service is this is not the same place. They over-schedule their employees, even though they have a online scheduling system. This does not matter they will over schedule. Today I waited over 2 hours and still had eight people in front of me. When I asked management why they are being overloaded and it was taking so long to get through. I was told that they're working on it. I was also told that they have quotas they need to make and that's why th
I just had my first donation at the Mesa location and my expectations were exceeded. Every staff member I interacted with helped me tremendously and explained every step of the process. I was able to ask questions without feeling like a burden and overall the energy was just so good in that facility. I can't wait to go back for my next donation!
Donating used to be a breeze. The amount of staff has greatly decreased, increasing the time it takes to get through the donation process. Last time I went, I had to leave after 90 minutes because I was still waiting to be seated to donate and had other things to do. I used to be in and out in an hour. This place needs to pay their employees more money so they stay and can grow the business. I keep waiting a month or so to return, but every time I do, the wait is longer than the time before. Thinking of try
The center is always clean and the staff friendly. Appointments are moving much quicker now so they've fixed the scheduling issues. The medical staff seem to be backed up and not as responsive when something happens, and you have to see them. Sometimes I've sat as long as 30 minutes waiting to be seen. Other than that, very happy with my experience at Biolife.
Until I moved to Mesa, I was in Colorado Springs. That center was very well run. The one in Mesa is a disaster. They have way too many people signing at 6:00am. They don't even have a quarter of the center able to open at 6 so there are immediately long lines with at least a 2 hour time frame to complete the donation. Management must be changed here, immediately, to get this place running efficiently.
The wait time is out of control again. Having to wait an hour just to be screened is ridiculous. Then standing in line waiting another 30+ minutes to go to a bed is ridiculous as well. Majority of the time there is only two or maybe three sections open. Way too many appointments are being scheduled for your facility that is way understaffed. I have been in line to go back to a bed for over 30 minutes. Donors time is valuable too!!
Oof. No hate to the employees themselves. The ones that I interacted with upfront were super nice. The nurse who did my physical, however, was very aloof and talked down to me (It came off as trying to just act like she knew more than me? I guess she didn't read in my profile that I'm a doctor?) and in general just seemed to hate her job or herself or something. Also pelted me with questions beyond what's necessary (I've had physicals at other locations)? ruined the entire experience for me and I left.
This company is a money and time sucking scam. I've been donating for over a year at 3 different donation sites and companies. This one is BY FAR the worst in kicking the can making others ineligible for the bonus. As a new donor at this company, I donated the 1st 3 times with no issues within a 2.5 week span. I come in for my 4th donation with bonus and advise me that my proteins were 5.9. Took another lab & over 7 days later they claimed they were 5.9 as well. My proteins at other sites and recent physic
Listen to the reviews - this place is inefficient and does not respect your time. Employees are nice but there simply aren't enough of them to get you in and out in a reasonable time. Even if you have an appointment, it means nothing. Prepare to spend an hour or even longer just waiting for the finger prick and vitals, at which point you can still get turned away without any compensation. If you do make it through the screening, prepare to wait another hour to actually get hooked up to a machine. On top of
Done with this place. I thought making appointments would cut down on time waiting but every time I come here for an appointment the line is wrapped around the inside and you wait an hour to get screened, an hour of longer to get called to a bed, and then 15-20 mins to even get poked. Why even bother having ppl make appointments. Wasted drives here aren't even worth the time/gas. Also look at the responses to the low reviews. 90% are the same script copy and pasted. What a joke.
I have tried multiple times to donate here and every single time they have told me my pulse and/or my blood pressure is sky high even though they are the only people to ever tell me my levels are elevated in my entire life. Every doctor I have ever been to has checked my levels and told me that my pulse is around 65 and my blood pressure is always low, but somehow it's always elevated from their services. Even today, they said my pulse was 3 points too high so I took a breather came back and apparently my p
Extremely slow process with only a handful of employees. I DO NOT fault the employees as they are all very nice, but the leadership needs to take a look at scheduling and staffing. There are far too many donators to have 3-4 employees trying to cover 24+ beds. Offer less appointments so people don't spend 2.5-3 hours just for a single donation.
Customer service are very kind and supportive with your needs. They're willing to answer your questions or concerns you may have. The line gets long and it's a long wait due to being understaffed. I would suggest to be five minutes punctual before your appointment.
Staff is Great all three of them lol the wait times are out of control. Biolife should stop over booking appointments with very limited staff it's not realistic to wait 3+ hours. If that's the case then clients should have additional compensation for wasted time.
Usually a great place to come. Today I arrived 10 mins late for an appointment I had scheduled. The reason for my tardiness was traffic. When I arrived to the center I tried signing in but found because I was late my appointment had been cancelled. The next available time was 45 minutes later. The center was not busy at all. No donors we're waiting so I approached the front desk. I was helped by a nurse I assume. She was very gruff about helping me. I explained my situation and asked if I could donate now .
The wait times really fluctuate here. For a while I could get in and out in a little over an hour and half. A time or two I've had to leave after waiting an hour just in line. It does seem like they've made some adjustments to their appointment management. I think they might just be understaffed some days. The staff is almost always very polite and professional.
I had a great first experience donating! Everyone was very kind and extremely thorough explaining everything to me! Sonia gave me so much information and i really appreciate that as this was my first time donating ever. She was so nice and kind made me feel very comfortable!
Continually understaffed, twice in the last 3 weeks I had to leave without donating because the wait was too long. Both times I was there for over an hour without ever starting the donation process. Management seems unconcerned about having proper staffing levels to meet their forecasted volume
Pros: Employees are very nice and courteous Cons: Had all my paperwork and physical done the previous day, yet it took 90 minutes before I got into the chair. Employees stood around chatting while the donor line went from 3 to 12. Only 1 employee processing samples. Felt sorry for the 1 employee actually doing his job. Finally sat down, they took some blood from me and told me that's it. I was not "flowing" correctly. What a massive waste of time. Have to think about going back. I'm not sure if it's wor
Like many people have mentioned in the negative reviews this place wastes your time!! If I have an appointment I do not feel I should have to wait over an hour to be seated. Once I'm finished with the starting donation coupons I have I will not be returning to this location as it's hardly worth my time even with the coupon. If you're looking for a place to donate choose somewhere more efficient and organized so you don't lose a whole afternoon!
Why cant you figure out how to run the Mesa, AZ facility? I made an appointment for 1055 this morning. I was given a buzzer, like the kind you get a restaurant, and told there was a 25 minute wait JUST TO CHECK IN! An additional wait to be have my levels tested, AND an additional wait to be stuck. This facility is CONSTANTLY under staffed, and only HALF of the floor is open. Don't even get me started on trying to book an appointment! I am extremely frustrated with your company and its inadequacies. I have h
When I first started donating, there wasn't much of a wait and the process moved pretty quickly. The wait is too long now so I haven't gone back. I cant stay 2-3 hours for each donation.
I love the thought behind this. Making medicine to help others. But the scheduling is a joke. Way too many appointments available, accepting way too many new donors when the they don't have the staff to serve current donors. Donation process, from the time you arrive until you leave should be about 45-60 minutes. However, waiting in line for 90 minutes is just not ok! It's so frustrating. Wait in like at the beginning, get your numbers taken, then wait again for a chair. The last couple donations, I've wait
The people are very nice. However when you sign up for a promotion and get turned away 2x in a week cause for whatever reason (short staff, over booking) it's very frustrating. The staff does try to make up for it but you still end up losing out of the promotion due to it expiring.
I've never had a bad time at the one off Hampton ave. The employees are great and very helpful when it comes to questions and or concerns I might have.
Great Staff, friendly, courteous. However my one compliant is the line for people waiting is not very well thought out. Half of the people sitting half of the people forced to stand for hours while awaiting a chair. I'd give 5 stars except my feet are killing me
As many other reviewers have stated, the wait time is way too long here for the amount of money they give you. I spent 2 hours there on a Sunday, only to get turned away because I have sleep apnea. I got approval from my doctor and I went back this past Sunday and spent over 3 hours there. Sorry, but I will not be returning. I've got too many other things going on and family time to be spent on the weekends.
It was my first time donating plasma and the staff made me feel comfortable. Make sure to bring a blanket because it gets pretty cold sitting there. 5 Stars to all the staff. Thanks again.
2nd time here and I am now coming up on 2 hours of waiting in line to donate. Half the center is staffed so the other half is a ghost town so the skeleton crew staff are running around with more of a workload. Id recommend you pick up some extra hours of overtime at your job and donate blood. This center is very slow and does not value donator time.
For the most part everyone is top notch, helpful and seemingly qualified. I would have given a 5? rating but the wait times are too long. Whomever is running the scheduling needs to make changes so that patrons aren't waiting for several hours and the little staff that has remained employed there (high turnover rate which is costly to the company) choose to stay. Shorter wait times (because time is valuable), and happy employees create an overall better experience for everyone.
The lines take really long time now a days. It use only take about an hour to an hour and half at the longest?now on the regular it takes 2 hours or more, there's hardly any staff either. I wish this could change, I have gone to another location where it feels they actually care about you, and they are fast to take the need le out when you are finished.
As you continue to get more donors in, the longer the lines of waiting increase. However, the personal or staff members have not increased at the same pace as the donors. Time is valuable to all and having to wait over 2 hours is a bit much. Why dont you as a whole invest in more equipment and employees so the wait time is less. I would like to add that on this donation i did today, I had been done, (beeping) for over 10 minutes, as not one and not 2, but three employees in my station (silver) just walked b
The communication here sucks I drive all the way here just to be told I can donate because they didn't do their jobs I've been coming for over a yeah very upset
This establishment has become unacceptable!! Poorly managed to say the least! They over book starting @ 8am and there is a 2 hour or longer wait before our draw begins. Employees are walking out and leaving. It is my understanding they have lost 7 employees in 6 weeks due to these conditions. Whoever manages this place should be ashamed of their skills. I was told it was due to a computer issues, and the issue was fixed so no more over bookings. Obviously, that was not the case. The staff who stay and hav
After not having the most pleasant experience at a sister location I came here and so far I'm very glad I did. Mainly due to the cheerful customer service and upbeat employees. I'm hoping the workflow in getting patients in and out will improve but until then it's a solid four stars. Thank you guys for actually smiling and being friendly.
Biolife Mesa!!! Beyond upset with this location! Nearly a 4 hour process for a returning donor is beyond upsetting for what is being paid! I sat for nearly 30 minutes for just a disconnect! You need a better processing system!
I enjoyed coming to this location because it is very clean and the people helping you are very friendly and communicate well. They are understand that wait times can be frustrating but they communicate well on when you turn is coming and it helps put your mind at ease. I would like to acknowledge one special individual. Her name is Sonia, she works up at the front and she is always super kind and informative. She provides insight on your health and also helps you understand the process, while also making su
The wait time here is ridiculous!!! For every step! Why have a scheduling system when you have to wait for screening, wait for a donor bed and lay there for 45 minutes before you even get hooked up, then once you're done donating you realize you've spent 3 hours here and you had the maybe the 6th appointment of the day.
The place was clean and orderly just like the first time. Staff is professional and kind..
Love the staff and Very friendly
I've been to multiple BioLife donation centers, and other company donation centers, and this is the least efficient for sure. I realize there are busy times and less busy times, but if you come to this location, prepare to stare at at least 15 beds with machines that aren't in use for the 1-2 hours it takes just to get you connected. Very understaffed and I finished donating and had to wait 15 minutes to get disconnected. And that was on top of the 2 hours it took to get in and get started. For your first d
Styler and Victoria are so kind and gentle. Makes the time spent worthwhile. I do wish the payment was more worthwhile.
Front desk was amazing but the nurse was rude and very drill Sergeant like. Did not feel comfortable talking to her! Couldn't really understand or keep up with what she said! I didn't even get any introductions or nice to meet you! Felt like she didn't really care about her job and her attitude sucked!
The wait there is terrible!! The employees that do my blood pressure and test my blood also have to work the front desk when someone has a problem so then only one person is doing the testing making everyone wait !!! All the while the nurses are sitting at there desk not doing anything and the employees waiting for us to give our plasma are standing around waiting for us!! If you had one person to run the front desk you would be amazed how well things would run!! But I know this will go no where because all
Nurse told me the week starts on sunday saying that it recently changed. So i gave plasma on a sunday and came back the next saturday, only for the crew to tell me i will still be receiving 40$ and not 65$. Even after i asked them for a coupon or something, they would not help me in any way. I'll just go to CSL plasma.
Very clean, inviting atmosphere. Some days you do have a longer wait but it's worth it to know you're helping contribute to a greater cause. I wish the app provided wait times
I would give it a zero rating if i could!! This was my 3rd time in there, waiting time is very unprofessional of this facility!!! 1rst time I went to donate they broke a vein! OK!! 2nd time was a very long wait time as well... 3rd time they broke another vein had a huge bubble on my arm and blood was coming out where the needle was, so had to stick me again to return the blood and it wasn't working! Never ever will I attempt to donate again!!!
The staff here are efficient, positive friendly and professional. Thank you for what you're doing.
Everyone was very nice but it was a complete waste of time. They didn't have enough people working so every step took forever! Consensus is that a first appointment will be four to five hours. I take several medications so researched everything I could before the appointment so I didn't waste time. I get TWO HOURS in and they tell me I will need a release from my primary care!! Once I have that, I will need to come back and start from step one. If I knew I needed that, I would have brought it with me. Not s
I've been here 4 times. I've been lied too, I've been told to go bc they are just too busy despite making an appt. Worst customer service I've ever had. Do your self a favor and just go to a different location. This one of awful. They are rude and their customer service is dreadful. Can't accomplish anything and no one is willing to be honest and upfront with you. They say make a new appt and come back but still they turn you away again. Horrible.
Everyone is extremely nice. Everything is clean. And the long wait times are gone. Longest I've had to wait in my last four donations is 10 minutes. But there is no towl holder in the men's bathroom. There just in piles Which leads to water dripping on the ones below when you're only trying to grab a few. And the rewards program is complete Joke. Donate 7 times to get enough points for $5. Though I be higher with how hard they pushed it ( multiple emails, app notifications, employees telling me about it, an
I've been going to the Mesa location for almost a year. Staff is very friendly. Sonia always checks me in before I donate. She is super nice and a hardworking individual. I know it's very stressful there. She always has a positive attitude. Other donors who donate, always enjoy talking to her.
Staff is overworked but nice on the weekends. For a lot of us donors Fri/Sat/Sun are the only times not at work to come in. I work 8-6 M-Th. Maybe pay a differential $1/hr to add on their wage for these daysl? Otherwise, chronic staff shortages lead to fewer donors. You folks at corporate are not unintelligent. Or is it just simply pervasive corporate greed at top management especially...the world doesn't need more sociopaths. Jus' say'n have some humanity for your staff!
Told me twice I would get a 100 dollar referral bonus and now are saying I cant get it. Go somewhere where they have their facts straight
My experience... Professionalism... to big of word for this establishment.. Is there a sub star to use to rate?? Negative 5
Staff and personnel are qualified and for the most part pleasant. The reason for the 3 ?????? review is the wait time. I donate in MN and it never takes me more than 1 hour from start to finish. At this Mesa location it is very rare that I am in and out in 1 hour. A lot of times it is 2 hours. Wait to get checked in, wait to get a bed, wait to get hooked up. They should not offer booking times if they don't have the personnel to take care of their donators. I believe it is probably up to management to tackl
I've been donating for almost 3 years now. I was a blood donor for many years prior to plasma. My sister is alive and thriving because of plasma treatments and so I feel as though I'm helping those in her medical community to live a better life. This facility is always clean and the staff is very friendly. There are a few that I have come to know well over the years. Sometimes wait times can be long and other times I'm in and out in just over an hour. It just depends on the ebb and flow of when people line
I wasn't allowed to donate because she missed, and searched for my vein, causing injury and extreme pain, and now my arm has a massive bruise on it. She told me to leave, without donating, and try again next time. I was payed - (thank you). I went in again, towards the end of the week, to try again in my other arm, but was told walk-ins are never allowed, without exception...even though on your website it says they are allowed when available. (I did keep trying to call ahead of time, but know one would ev
Very nice people but you guys need a better system. I'm waiting again in the back of the line cause I answer one question wrong. It's annoying. I was here at 640 and it's 740 and I have to wait in line all over again. Make a better system. Thank you. And I have to add it was a lot of people who had to re enter the line
Sadly this place is horribly understaffed. The poor employees that are there are so overworked and under appreciated. This place needs to stop being greedy and hire more staff. Besides that the staff they do have is wonderful when they are not dead on there feet.
Im in dental care and a phlebotomist myself, I experienced today my first time donating. I was there a total of 3.20 hours, however it was all necessary. Everyone was friendly and professional. I honestly didn't have to wait long at any point. This facility does see a lot of people but overall they did an amazing job. Thank you However my second visit was a little off putting. The woman taking vitals does not change her gloves in between patients. You are still handling blood! I waited 4 hours and
Thank you to the people that left truthful reviews. I was going to go here but after I read that people are spending 2 - 3 hours WITH an appointment I'll go somewhere else. And all these copy paste replies from the business explain it all.
Everybody does their jobs well. So, from the doner's point of view, everything happens quickly and easily.
Staff and management are wonderful. Unfortunately when you set an appointment you still won't be sitting down for another 2hours. Been like that since I started going there. People also can just come ahead or later of their appointments and just prolong everyone that is actually there on time. Hire someone that has a brain on time management and scheduling
There were about 4 or 5 new donors in the vitals line all at once. They didn't even know how to line them up. I'm not sure why that happened but it really bogged down the vitals line. But the bed process was great!
The Staff is very friendly and helpful and that made my experience with BioLife flawless .
Staff is friendly and professional, I definitely feel safe having them insert the needle and watch over all of us. I look forward to the same friendly faces every week, twice a week.
Everyone is nice and the center is always clean. However, scheduling 2 appointments within the same donation week has become almost impossible, which in turn, makes the bonus of $40 on 1st donation of the week & $70 on the 2nd almost impossible as well. This is especially frustrating because when I started donating again 2 1/2 - 3 months ago I received a ?welcome back promotion? of $600- paid out $70, $80, 70, $80, $100, $100, $100 but I missed out on the last 3 payments of $100. I scheduled a few app
Low staff, lab can be almost empty with no line, it takes 2 hours to finish everything because of low staff. Cupom just give you 30 days to donate, that means if you are reject for low iron (which is common after 2 consecutive donations) you can't even finish all 8 donations in 30days. Waste of time, money, do not worth the payment, even with special cupom. Kids area was never opened again, after Covid, so no point to pay someone to watch kids to spend 2-2:30 hours to donate plasma to receive 70 bucks.
The staff is very friendly and competent. The wait time varies but at time it exceeded 1 1/2 hrs and I find this unexpectable. In addition, I was cancelled after waiting over and hour.. I received a $50 credit to be split in 2 payments but that does not cover the loss. Then I was cancelled again and the credit was never added to my account and again, missed my second $80 payment. A little frustrating!
The staff is so friendly, minus one or two who I don't interact with often. Vince, Sonja, Malinda, and manager Andrea are just a few of my favorites there. I love this location!
I have a good experience however I miss the days when payouts were higher and there was more staff on deck. The process should always be convenient for us and fast.
I have been donating at Biolife for a couple of years now. The staff is always very friendly and I appreciate the opportunity to help others while supplementing my income.
Wonderful staff. Wonderful experience each time.
The sight is very clean, staff are so nice. however it seams to be getting longer and longer to be to the beds. wait time is getting to be all most 2 hr. before you even start your donation.
**Update** My more recent visits have been much better. I schedule to donate as early in the day as possible before they have had a chance to get backed up. My needle sticks have been good, which is a relief. * I've donated before and sometimes the wait is longer than I prefer but today was absolutely unacceptable. The woman behind me left an hour before I did because I was not stuck correctly (and I kept being restuck with no improvement). I understand people have to
Absolutely horrible management and communication. Showed up for a donation and was told I can't donate since they're still waiting for results on a SPE test I re-took because the lab somehow ?lost/never received? my sample. No phone call or anything. Why even let me schedule an appointment and make me waste time and gas showing up for nothing. Told me it would be 7-10 days. It has now been over 2 weeks and they still haven't called me with the results from the re-take. I have called them almost 50 times thi
Excessive wait times almost guaranteed, never utilize all available beds. I don't understand the point of scheduling appointments if it is still a 1-2 hour wait just to get to a donor bed. Staff and facilities are nice which is the only reason this got 3 stars.
The center is clean but be prepared to spend all day here. First donation took 4 hours for the entire process. I'm on my second now and have been sitting here for 2 hours and still not hooked up. There has to be a better way. Csl isn't as clean but so much faster. Not sure I'll be staying with this company. I don't have the time to spend 4 hours here twice a week
This place is terrible. The employees have no professionalism and the joke of a manager is even worse. Save yourself the time and trouble and go anywhere else. When I asked for corporate info the lady was rude af and didn't give me any info??update ?... Yeah last time I filled out that contact form is when I was contacted by a rude entitled manager that doesn't know anything about customer service or tone. Give me corporate info .
This was my second visit to this location. I had a 550 appointment. Waited an hour for vitals. At 730 was told they would be taking no more donors for the night. There were about 20 of us in line waiting. Very poor experience. They could?ve easily known at 5:50. They would not be able to take me and told me at that time.
I was in and out in an hour today although usually it takes a little longer. The facility is always clean, the staff professional and friendly, and that all contributes to my confidence and willingness to help others in need of the life-giving qualities of plasma. I'm just one of thousands who daily donate towards the better health of others. Consider joining us!
What a joke. Run a new donor promotion and due to issues outside of my circumstances it will expire before I can finish it. Bathrooms have zero soap in them during peak business hours and what's more is there is ALWAYS more donors than employees can handle. Last time I went it took 3:30 hrs. It's ridiculous.
My last experience was terrible. My appointment was at 3:30pm and I didn't leave the place till 6:45pm. We only found out what the issue was when the technician started setting us up for the donation. She was the only one that apologized for the long wait. It turned out that someone screwed up and double booked the appointments for that day. Management did not have the decency to come around and explain to us what happened. They must made us wait an extra 2 hours.
Friendly, busy but quick for the most part and paid same day. Easy to schedule and very clean and upkept.
For someone who is not to fond of needles, I was a little hesitant to come in and donate. After a little motivation from a friend, I took the plunge and don't regret it one bit! The Mesa Staff are friendly, professional, and gentle (for us needle-phobics). They seem to genuinely care about what they are doing and their donors. I can say they may have even lessened my fear of needles during my multiple donations. In addition to their professionalism, I love that I am making a difference for those who need it
This is the second time I have given them a try and I am not happy the second time around either. It does not matter what time you schedule your time, just be prepared to wait up to 2 hrs for a bed to even open before you start to donate. They seem to be constantly short staffed. I hear the staff complain every time I go how they are on their 12th hr and will be doing the same thing the next day. I signed up with a coupon, but wont be able to complete it in time. The appointments are booked weeks out and yo
I have only been here twice. But it was a very pleasant experience. Not what I expected it to be the staff has made me feel comfortable both times God bless Y'all
Hardly any appointments during convenient times (before and after work hours), and they get taken up quick. I always have to schedule 1-2 weeks ahead of time, but they don't allow to schedule ahead of time more than two weeks ahead. Hard though, cause they seem always booked up at least two weeks ahead. Also, not a lot of actual LPN or RN's or any real healthcare certified professionals on hand, so that service is usually backed up, when we have to be seen by one of them to "check us out", to continue with
Nice and clean . Friendly staff . The tall guy check levels was new I think because he didn't clean counter after the guy and when I was called up I had to ask him to please wipe down the counter before he started with me . Then when I went back to start the plasm , I had a really nice young girl and I told her about the employee not wiping down and I thought they we're supposed to wipe down after each donor and she said they are that this was like his 2 week working . I think they over work their employees
I've been going to this center off and on for the last 3 years, recently I started going again and it is absolutely ridiculous to make an appointment then sit for over an hour to get screened then sit another 30 minutes or more to get seated and then who knows how long to get hooked up. They send out offers to get you back and those offers expire before you can even get an appointment. You guys need to hire enough staff to have all the beds going with two people in every station like it was 3 years ago. I'm
The staff are really nice, they try to get you in and out as quick as possible. They ask how you're doing while donating and they seem (at least so far) to be good at needle sticks lol
Every single staff member here was immensely kind and patient. They did an amazing job answering questions and giving instructions. The place was pretty busy but every staff member I interacted with was still extremely attentive. Thank you for the great experience!
The wait is ridiculous. My appointment was at 9:05. It took over 2 hours to be able to actually donate. Didn't leave until 12:30. Again today it took an hour and half to just be able to go to a station . Today it took 2 1/2 hours. All the concerns and complaints goes to the deaf ears. Eventually I will get tired of these long lines and quit giving plasma. On the other hand I like their staffs.
I'm giving them a 5 star review because I really feel this is a much nicer facility then other plasma centers I've gone to. I like that they are thorough, the facility is clean, nice and open. I love the big windows and wish they were open more to look out. Yes it took 3 hours my first visit, 2 my second, but it only took an hour and a half from start to finish my third. Just like anything newly opened they are figuring it out. I also saw that the hours are expanding for anyone needing early morning appoint
love the staff they're so nice and helpful
Most recent visit on 2/28/24 was probably one of the best visits I've had in a while. It was definitely a slow day and it was nice not to have to wait for 20 minutes to get hooked up after being called to an area only to wait in the chair.
The sinks in the men's bathroom don't work so you're not able to wash your hands. Apperantly they've been down for weeks with no repair in sight. Unacceptable!
CANNOT DONATE IF YOU HAVE TATTOOS ON YOUR ARMS It's never been an issue anywhere.
Second time donating so when I got there, the person at the desk told me I just needed to scan my finger, which I did. She didn't say that I had to do it at a specific station and had to answer questions! Got in line and found out from another client that I had to check in at the stations with my fingerprint. No directions for someone inexperienced!!
Staff does not communicate with each other...I was told that my questionnaire needed a second look and sat there for almost an hour before someone asked me what I was waiting for...unbelievable And don't even get me started on making an appointment...what for...I had a 2:00 appointment and didn't get out of there until after 5:30...unacceptable
The staff are all very friendly but it is a ridiculous wait time! It only takes about 45 min to donate but you wait in kind at least an hour just get to a donation chair. They have a ton of empty beds and not enough staff to keep up with the demand. Hire more people or don't allow so many appointments. I am considering trying a different center for donations to see if it is any better.
Signed up but forgot to screenshot the coupon for new donors and there is no way for me to pull up the coupon now. Based on other reviews it's very unlikely they would have honored the coupon anyways so I'm glad I'm not going to be wasting any time at this place. If every review is bad and the owner just keeps copying and pasting the same response to everyone then this is clearly a bad company.
The BioLife is very clean and the people there are very professional. I was well taken care of and am happy with the staff. I would recommend this location. Sonya was extremely helpful!! Five stars to her alone!
Employees make up excuse not to accept certain donors, they pick and choos which donors they want to accept instead of going by the book, they weren't rude about anything but you can tell they lie to those who dont know any better.
Staff is great. Communication is terrible. 2x my blood test results were lost / broken / not received. Nobody lets you know until you show up for an apt. Why can I make if I'm not eligible to donate?
There absolutely terrible with answering there phones been trying to get my test results from there for 2 weeks now absolutely ridiculous
The wait is absolutely awful. You have to make an appointment which does nothing to help the amount of time you'll be standing around. Expect the process to take at least 3 hours. They don't staff enough people. I used to donate and stopped started going to CSL Plasma. They are far more efficient and I can usually get in and out form start to finish in no more than 90 minutes AND no appointment required. They also have more appropriate staff levels. I only came back to Bio Life because I got a decent retur
Your staff is amazing. Even when your packed. Your staff handles it without a hitch. Everytime I have needed a special request they'll do their best to accomodate you and to thank us everytime. You should be proud! Even if it can be a wait, your staff makes it worth it.
The staff isnt bad but this place is horribly organized since they never have enough people you end up waiting for almost 2 hours before you actually get to donate.
Pretty much always well behind schedule. You set an appointment, but the last several times has been over an hour wait behind my scheduled time. 2 hours over time. There is no notification even though they have an app with your appointment of running behind. Which leads to scheduling conflicts or issues with the rest of the day or evening, and if find out it a long delay and you choose to leave they take the bonus you would have been paid for that donation. Poorly run and executed. The employees are nice, b
I've been donating here for several months. All the staff are amazing! I hate needle sticks, especially the size needed for donation. However, the staff are so competent and great at what they do you hardly feel it! I also love the convenience of the on-site childcare they have available certain hours of the day (as does my daughter). The building is very clean and seems to run very efficiently. Oh, and did I mention the great staff?!
This place has friendly enough staff and they walk you through each step for your first donation. However, after attempting to go up to 8 times for a promotion I had, I was only able to get paid for 5 visits because my heart rate was high several times - causing me to delay the next time I could visit. (You can try again the next day but not everyone can go again right away.) I don't know why a slightly high heart rate would impact me being able to donate when all other vitals are good. This wouldn't frustr
I had been going here a couple years up until a few days ago. As I was waiting over 20 minutes to get unhooked. Seemed no one was paying attention to who finished first and I get that they get busy but to get ignored, it's ridiculous! So I get this young girl that comes over to unhook me and I mentioned maybe I should write an email asking why this happens when she got very snooty with me. She informed me that she was a supervisor and that her people shouldn't have to take my abuse!(when I have spoken to no
Place is clean, and staff is friendly. However, this location is severely understaffed. I'm writing this review waiting to get started on the machine, and I've already been here for over an hour. Appointments are hard to get, so it would be nice if they could handle the amount of donors that they let in. I feel bad for the staff having to run around trying to keep up. Plan on your appointment taking longer than expected!
2nd time I couldnt donate due to "computers and systems being down" and nurses seem like they hate coming out. A former medical employee its kinda unheard of to" be down" they really have to figure some contingency plan.i have left comments via email before, all I get is the corporate response.as donnors qe miss out on the benefits of donating I used to get 110 not I can only get 95 due to "pc issues" hopefully they can figure it out ill see how long I can keep donating minus issues I cant controll.may b
I'm new to this location, but it's been the same since I've started coming here three weeks ago. The line waiting time averages about 20-40 minutes to get checked in, and placed into a section. It takes another wait time of at least 20-40 minutes to get hooked up to the machine. And it's about as much of the wait time to get unhooked up from the machine after donating. This location does have good people working the floor, and they work hard. However, they are always short staffed and have poor time managem
I wanted to leave a review purely to shoutout Sonia. I get nervous before donating and she always helps me calm down and goes out of her way to make sure that people feel cared for and seen. She goes above and beyond and is one of the kindest people I have ever met. The first time she helped it literally felt like an angel was looking out for me. She is amazing at her job. The 5 stars are purely because of her, she makes long wait times worth it. Words can't express how much I appreciate her. Give Sonia a r
Don't come to donate unless you have atleast 3+ hours. It used to be about an hour-hour and a half process after your first initial donation but day after day week after week of crazy long lines and complaints this location OVER BOOKS so bad. You come in and check in on the computer, then stand in a atleast a 30+ min line to get your vitals checked, then get sent to another line to wait for bed (another atleast 30+ min) then when sent to a bed they don't even hook you up right away they finish other people
Really questioning the cleanliness Of this location. As I completed my pre screening before donating I saw my blood get on the techs gloves, as I walked away she did not change her gloves for the next donor! Also went to the restroom while in line there was no soap in the bathroom and the hand sanitizer outside the bathroom was empty- told an employee went to the rest room again after my donation about 45 min later and there was still no soap of sanitizer!
Original review: Friendly enough people, but waiting 2.5 hours from my appt time for the physical. What's the point after scheduling the appt if you are waiting over two hours to be seen? Updated review: I have been a few more times since my 2.5 hour wait time and have had much better experiences. Some of the visits have been lengthy, but still moved along quickly. If you go early in the day, you can be in and out in less than an hour.
This place used to be much better. It is clean and the staff is great, but the management now books too many appointments. It is very difficult to get appointments and what used to take about an hour now takes much longer. Today it took over 2 hours to make a donation, while 45 minutes of that was the actual donation and the rest was waiting in line. If they don't get their act together I would suggest another company.
Staff was incredibly friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. The nurse was so bright and she quickly helped me understand what seemed to be an intimidating process. The people actually sticking me were well trained and quick to answer any of my concerns or questions. I went in intimidated and apprehensive and came out feeling very comfortable with the whole process. Thanks so much!
This is an update! I went back in May of 2023 and I still stand by my 5 stars! Even though there is no play area for the kids anymore, it's still a clean and friendly environment!! The environment is so friendly when I walked in. The nurses and staff are so down to earth and even though I almost passed out (completely my fault lol) they were so nice and did everything to make me feel better before leaving. I love that there is a play area for those who need to bring their children :) I'm looking forward t
Easy and polite staff. Thr app makes scheduling a breeze. The facility is clean... Update: Sometime after Covid, everyone without a job decided to start donating. The company decided that they could handle the extra flow of donations by increasing the waiting time to 45+minutes even though you make appointments. A few times they even asked patrons to wait on their cars when it's 110? outside. I stopped going because their new staff couldn't poke people safely and I couldn't afford to wait in their building
All the screening and such seemed to get done relatively quick and efficiently. My main objection to going to this location is the skill level and ability of the staff that is injecting the needle into your vein. 5 out of the 7 times I donated, I was overly bruised and 3 of those times there was additional bruising from the puncture causing a hematoma. 2 of those 7, it was done so badly that they just had to send me home without actually donating so I got a sore and effectively disabled arm and $20 compen
Why don't your company answer the damn phone. I have to call for a hour straight just to talk with someone? Do you guys not hear the phone ringing???
I can never get through to anyone. ??????? DO NOT recommend!
I came here to donate plasma and was denied three times. All for silly stuff. First, was because"I wasn't hydrated enough" even though I had been drinking lots of water but the person felt they couldn't draw from my veins. So I was deferred for two weeks. Second, I was here for an additional 3.5 hours to go over my medical history, medications, etc. After doing this, getting checked out, vitals checked, etc I was told to schedule a physical with them with would take and additional 3 hours minimum then I wo
It's s well kept place and for the most part staff is good but it's almost damn near impossible to schedule donations. This place is always booked out for at least 2 weeks. Sadly I had to go to other places with less people and more appointments
0/5. They don't honor coupons. They lost my blood protein sample and blamed me for it. I have that recorded. The wait time is over three hours. They are severely understaffed. What does that say about the company. They don't answer the phone, ever. And they don't respond after they ask you for your personal information to do so.
Sorry maybe I push the wrong one, I actually did have a great first experience! all the stuff is nice! and helpful! I had e hematomas and they did took care of me. I will go back.
My first time donating has been nothing short of an amazing experience! The facility is extremely clean and more organized than and other donation center I have been to in Arizona and Utah! The employees are so friendly and welcoming and had answers to all of my questions. They also have an app that makes scheduling appointments so quick and easy. I am so happy I decided to donate here and can't wait to keep coming back! Also Chuck was my amazing phlebotomist and is so cool, knowledgeable and friendly. He
When the website says "To reduce your waiting time, please schedule an appointment online. Upon arrival at the center reception desk, we will welcome you and ask you to sign in.", that kinda implies that an appointment isn't required, but recommended. Get there today, get told they don't do walk-ins, have to go online to make an appointment and oh, by the way, we're booked out till the first week of February right now.
Last few times I came to this location I haven't been able to donate, today 4 other people besides myself were also unable to donate do to all of our heart rates being high. How is it 5 strangers all have high heart rate when the only thing in common was the station we were sent to. When I asked the agent if he's sure the machine wasn't off he told me he was positive it couldn't be the machine ?? there's better locations with better service so this will be my last time coming here.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
