Blood mobile at Culver's in Middleburg FL. Would not accept my wife and I a s walk-in. Even though the web site says walk-in l' accepted.Lady was rude and turned us away saying we had to make an appointment. They were not even busy.So much for you guys always needing donors. So not cool.
Waste of time and gas. I have tried to donate 3 times over the last two months. Two of the times were at the mobile donation center. The first time I was told I had not eaten recently enough. This is after I went through twenty minutes of blood pressure checks and sitting around. They should have turned me away immediately if that was the case. The second time I was turned away because my blood pressure was over by two points. I tried to explain I was feeling well and had a high red blood cell count which
Talking or joking with friends / family is not acceptable in the lobby, even quietly. You can't sit with your loved ones when they're donating. Very disrespectful about this as well. The front desk lady was rather nice, and seemed fine by both things. The lady doing the blood however was very nasty and vocally rude. She was acting like a teacher reprimanding students. We are adults. Doing something we don't even have to, to help out. If you're gonna be a jerk, people aren't going to give blood anymore.
Made two appointments for 11a, walked in on Saturday, Aug 31 to be greeted by a miserable front desk lady. We're told 4 other people just walked in so we'll have a long wait. I suppose an appointment doesn't mean anything to them, so don't bother. We took our type O blood and walked right out the door. Must not be in ?need?, because they were certainly ungrateful. We won't be back.
The black woman had an attitude as soon as I walked in the door for no apparent reason and had an attitude throughout the process. On top of that she didn't know what she was doing and had to constantly ask for help. Didn't seem like she was properly trained. In the end my arm was bruised badly. I wouldn't recommend this location.
I'm a frequent donor and have only had a couple of times where things didn't go smoothly hitting a vein. Yesterday Brandy drew my blood and it was the best experience ever. Taken in on time and hit the vein without fuss or pain and out the door.
My husband and I just went in a few minutes ago and we had the best experience. They were so kind and so nice. Brittni was fantastic and so professional. The needle stick was painless. Honestly this is the best blood giving experience we've had and we do this often!
Will not be coming nack to this location. A girl in training attempted to draw blood from me but missed the vein. No problem, I understand there's a learning curve. What was NOT okay was the woman she called over for help, who proceeded to wiggle and shove the needle through my arm to get to the vein. When I tell you the PAIN that it caused me, I was doing everything I could not to come up off the seat. Then she gets an attitude and says I'm "too squirmy" for her and that she won't touch me if I'm going to
These folks are really nice and very good at their jobs. They treat you with respect and kindness and are gentle with the needles. They always offer you something to drink and give you a snack to eat and take home after you donate. Very comfortable beds to lie on help make the short time it takes to donate blood (5 to 10 minutes) go by fast. This is the place to go if you want to donate quickly and painlessly and be treated like the hero you are!
I went to Oneblood Donation Center located at 2153 Kingsley Avenue in Orange Park , Florida in anticipation of donating blood plasma and getting paid for my donation . The lady at the front desk told me that they don't do blood plasma donations , only whole blood donations and that they don't pay for donations . She did suggest Octapharma Plasma on Loch Rane Blvd. to donate blood plasma and that they pay their donors . The bad thing is that I went to Octapharma Plasma first and they rejected me as their upp
Very rude and unprofessional. Brittany seemed full of attitude and was surprisingly rude to someone who wants to spend their time to give blood for free. She and another nurse, Shirley, couldn't figure out how to set the machine so that I could donate even though I am within the weight limit (although I am petite). When I asked if it's possible to at least do a half donation, they said it wasn't possible and turned me away. I've done half donations with this company before, but what would I know? I've donat
Brought my husband and 16 yr old daughter to donate blood today as there is a need. We all wore masks because there were 15+ people at the donation center and social distancing isn't feasible. A woman named Shirley very rudely asked if we were compromised while we were in the waiting room with other people around. Then my husband and daughter were taken back for their screening and I walked with them. Being a nurse I wanted to make sure infection precautions are being taken (i.e. chair wiped down). She aga
Most unprofessional, non compassionate, rude woman at this location. I was scheduled to donate plasma - was a bit uneasy, but wanted to help. When asking about the procedure, the nurse/receptionist rudely asked if I knew I would be there for 1.5hrs? I did know this and explained to her that I had never donated plasma. It was VERY clear that she did not want to do her job today and she did not feel the need to explain anything with the exception that they would be "TAKING A WHOLE LOT" of blood from me to
I've been to this donor center before and had a good experience. One of the girls asked if I wanted to try platlets. When I returned for platlet appointment I had a woman that was just a rude person. She interrogate me as to how I was going from a whole blood donor to platlets. We are volunteering and trying to help I do not like to have to deal with rudeness. I'm not totally sure but reading the last review I think it was this same Shirley woman. I had a bad feeling with platlets but I will not give whole
I must redo my review after the very effective response from administration at OneBlood. A huge thank you to Mr. Cherry for seeing to it that my issue was addressed. Thank you Sir as well as thank you to the nice lady who assisted with my account issue.
Donated blood at a mobile site outside of Publix and never got a gift card for Publix or a e gift card. October 24 2023 still nothing. Disappointed. Not sure if I will donate with this service again. Thanks
This was my firs time to this place. It is just a job that comes with attitude. Brittani was unhappy, rude, and didn't have any compassion or gratitude for the donor. She obviously didn't want to be at work today, or maybe she prefered not having customers. I am not sure. I will go elsewhere.
Chris, Shirley, Brittani, Steve and ALL who serve there are top shelf. I am approaching 35-gallons as a platelet/ plasma donor. Friendly, humorous and are consumate professionals. Good people. Diverse.
Walked in to give blood. Professional, clean, and quick. Great experience!
The wonderful ladies that are here always make you feel welcome. They are family because they have such a wonderful bond with their patients. I go back every time. Thank you all for all of the wonderful things that you do. ????
The ladies there when I was there were so sweet and gave me extra cookies. My nurse was the funniest and sweetest lady. This is the location to donate at definitely.
closed when I wanted to donate blood but I appreciate their cause ???????????
Sticking a needle into someone else?s skin its the most important skill, no matter who perfectly the certificate phlebotomist follow the protocol.
I think some of the equipment needs some work and and sometimes. I think they don't talk to you very nicely there.
They are a wonderful and compassionate people to donate blood or plasma. I would come by and donate and have a chat with the staff.
Great folks, very efficient, no pain venapunctures. Lots of appointment times. Very friendly staff.
A building where you can give blood to help save 3 lives. You'll be taken care of and earn a reward.
I have donated at this site many times. I have always found the atmosphere very pleasant and the staff very professional.
Great place. Great staff and a clean environment. That's why I keep going back.

Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
