Against my better judgment, I ignored the previous review hoping it was a one-off experience. I was sadly mistaken. Several of the phlebotomists do indeed use a pen to mark the venipuncture site. The woman that helped me was too distracted joking and speaking with the clients/patients in neighboring beds, and was disorganized and rough when sticking me. My median cubital vein in my left arm is the most pronounced and typically where I get blood drawn due to its accessibility. Due to her not paying attention
Great staff! But the company sucks. The pay card rips you off for fees galore!! The lab sucks, I was a regular donor, I was cleared to donate and that day they took a sample per regs. Next trip I am told I did not have adequate leves of protein iny blood? That means I was cleared to donate and they took plasma while my protein was too low. Or the lab sucks. Either way better options in portland oregon. Their loss. I actually had blood work done the same day by a real doctor. No issues So I am betting they j
Only give 4 stars cause place may be kinda small. Besides that this place is solid. Been here a few times and the team members there are a good mix of new and older team members. They do a lot and are efficient and try their best to take care of people. Donated today and Nicole absolutely owned it! Hope the staff all know they handle business ??????
This was my first time donating plasma. I was hesitant about going in thinking it would not be clean and not sure what to expect. I had such a great experience here from when I stepped in the door. People that have donated before helped me do what I needed to do to get checked in. Then when the staff came up and walked me through the process they were all so kind, fun and helpful! I seriously could not believe how everyone's attitude was kind and seemed upbeat and happy. Working in an environment like this
I went it for my first donation. The screening process took a couple of hours but the donation process goes very quick. Unfortunately i got sick while donating (i didn't eat a hardy enough breakfast & i have low blood pressure) but the staff were so so kind to me especially Colbey and a woman phlebotomist. They really made me feel ok about what happened and helped monitor me with a lot of care until I felt better. Amazing staff and super clean!
Everyone working in this center has a good attitude. Everyone is very positive.
This is the best place! It is scrupulously clean, their protocols are of the highest standard and, most importantly of all, the staff are amazing! Without exception, everyone is friendly, incredibly professional and adept at their jobs, and they all take the time to know clients and connect with them. I genuinely look forward to donating because I will see some of the nicest people I have ever met. I appreciate that they have firm guidelines, and if i ever get deferred - for low protein usually - they expla
Only chose 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. The check in process was very good, thanks to the new employee training there. Because it was my first time donating plasma I brought my sister with me just in case something were to happen. It all went smoothly until the blonde guy came in and brought us to a room to talk. He was concerned that because English wasn't my first language I wasn't going to understand the whole plasma donation process. My sister and I ensured him a thousand times that I could unders
The staff are always helpful and punctual. I have enjoyed the extra money during the holiday season. I get paid right after donating.
Great place to donate plasma! The facility is clean, warm and welcoming. The staff are always super nice and patient and they make the whole experience very easy. Especially Nicole! She is incredibly caring, attentive, and always super nice! She is a pro at poking and makes sure you are taken care of 1000% at all times. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who wants to donate!
Be extremely careful most of the people are nice, but they're some who are extremely woke. I asked about the color of my plasma and she freaked out and said you can't talk about color here. My intent was literally asking about the food I ate and why my plasma seemed darker than normal, and they terminated/deferred my account. Pls try communicating not projecting. If there is an issue, document what was said so it can be addressed immediately.
Good luck donating plasma for the first time because you think it's a good thing to do and having a little extra to pay off a credit card also doesn't hurt. The front office staff here will treat you like the scum they think you are and leave your dignity in shreds for the sheer power tripping thrill of it. I have a feeling other companies are a better option. Medical staff seemed perfectly wonderful. Spent almost 2 hours here, the first 1.5 hrs being mistreated by the front office and the last 15 mins or s
I have been going here for about 2 years now and they have always shown great professionalism, cleanliness and respectful. Very informative and they make sure I have a smooth and fast donation. Ask for Dee, I always have a painless and easy donation when she's working.
Super pleasant and attentive staff. In and out in less than an hour.
I've been donating here for about a month, and out of the three places I've donated in my life, this is by far the best one. The phlebotomists are all very skilled and knowledgeable. They should honestly be paid way more. To shoutout a few: Dee, Etima, Nicole, Micheala, and Mark. If your thinking about donating plasma, I would suggest going here.
I actually feel bad writing this review because in a lot of ways I would give this place 4 .or 5 stars. The staff is well trained, friendly, make the process much less stressful. I did encounter a small compensation issue, after contacting them and the head office it was taken care of. I recommend them, they do a great job. ****I wanted to update that everything was honored and they did compensate me. You can trust they will do the right thing. I think realizing the nature of the area and the potential fra
I love comimg here to donate. Everyone is nice and has answered any questions I had. The facility is very clean and accommodating. Some days are super busy and you do have to wait even with an appointment but if you ask a worker what days and times are usually slow you can plan your visits to be in an out within an hour.
WARNING NO PROMOTIONS FOR JAN OR FEB AND NEXT WEEK PAY GOES FROM $40 AND $85 TO $40 AND $80. YOU WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED WHICH IS MISLEADING. ****Update its now $50 and $60. So it's steady dropping also the new app is broken you can set apt but can't reset password for kiosk on the app, you get text messages with broken links and accidentally sent texts.
I have been donating here (off and on) for many years and I commend the staff for their friendly attitudes and hard work. This center used to have VERY long wait times years ago but now the center operates much better and seems well organized. Yes, they may be short staffed occasionally (it happens in any employment) or training a new staff member, which means the trainer will be taking their time to properly guide, so one may have to utilize patience or maybe one of the staff might be having a rough day (w
They are so nice there! I wouldn't go anywhere else! Never had any issues & always done in about an hour! It's convenient, easy & staff is really nice & considerate !
The Holgate location is the best to me. I've been going regularly for a couple years now and honestly I wouldn't go anywhere else. It's clean and they make you feel comfortable. 5stars!!
My first time donating and I was nervous but the people working there are so nice. Before, during, and after donating everyone was incredibly kind and helpful.
In 2019 I came here. I filled out the tattoo/piercing body map and gave the dates I received them (I have about 23, some of which are very old, but I tried to recall the dates accurately), I did the verbal health screening. During my health screening, the man asked me a question at the time with medical terminology I didn't understand at the time. I told him I didn't understand and asked him what he meant, and literally began asking if I was on drugs. I told him absolutely not, but stated I do have a learn
This Biomat is always trying to adapt and improve and that's what I like about this place. People here are mostly nice and always trying to improve. Just wish we had better pay or bonus. It's been hard to win the raffle prizes they offer here. Overall so far it's been decent ??
I had a wonderful experience donating plasma at Biomat USA. The facility was clean and comfortable, and the staff members were friendly and helpful. I also found that Biomat USA paid more compared to other options I looked into. What stood out to me was how clean and well-maintained the place was. It made me feel comfortable and safe during my donation.
Love the staff! Love how friendly, professional, and fast my experience is every time! Shout out to Brissa, Dee, Lena, Trinity, Claire, Marie, Matt, Victoria, and Angel! There are even more of you that have been incredible, I'm sure! I've never had a bad time :) Thanks for always being excellent!
A truly professional staff. Always bursting with energy and positivity. I especially enjoy conversations with Joe. He always has a smile for me. The employees keep things moving even when it is busy. Top of the line medical staff and their phlebotomists never miss their mark. This is a well-run center.
I have always been treated respectfully and the employees are very professional and friendly. I have always felt welcomed and cared about. There's only been a couple times bonuses took a bit longer to load, but I called and they were quick to fix the problem. There's always hiccups in any service but it's how the company resolves the issues and Grifols-Biomat USA donation center is a wonderful place to do good.
Overall a good experience. Staff are super friendly and make me feel comfortable doing something decidedly uncomfortable. It's not for everyone, especially if you're even a little bit queasy with needles/blood. The payment drops DRAMATICALLY after the first month. There were a few things that I didn't find out until a few weeks after I started donating and had to discover the hard way (if you don't have enough protein they have to send you home w/o a donation, for example) and even after going in a few month
If you want to help others who depend on your donation, but with little time commitment on your part, give them a try. The staff make it a pleasant experience. Trinity is usually my first interaction in the process and she really sets the tone for a friendly, proficient and relaxed appointment.
Good luck if you have stuff to do or if you're in a hurry... Friendly staff. Need better system to get you in an back out the door. Not employees fault.
Was kicked out for ?pushback? when explaining my shades are prescribed for light sensitivity. Hispanic woman was incredibly rude about the whole situation and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone honestly.
If this location wasn't the closest and open the latest in my area, I would have already changed company's to CSL or Octopharma. My problems are with the administrators and the policys here, more so than than the performance of their amazing floor staff at this center. I work full time, so I'm not dependent on the compensation from donations. I'm more frustraited that my time is often wasted. I have on multiple occasions needed information or paperwork completed by some one who is rarely on site throughout
They lied to me and said I would be on the new donor and receive $400 for 4 visits. After my third I was told I'm not a new donor and I received $200 first 2 times and $40 3rd. Furthermore, they treat you like a criminal, will google search your address and ask the most ridiculous questions. I'll never ever use this place again. They're garbage and are going to loose a lot of old continuing donors.
Very impressed with the friendly staff. Peter, Joe, Giovanna and Erinn. I was a new donor and Giovanna explained the process to me and made me feel at ease. It feels good to help people and earn some money.
Very nice ,kind and friendly staff members.
This place is absolutely amazing. I literally look forward to & enjoy my donations so much because of the staff here!!!! Everyone is so kind & makes sure you're OK & comfortable through your whole donation. Plus it's for such a good reason & you get paid for it so it's totally a win win!!!! GRIFOLS IS THE BEST!!!!!
Very friendly and professional staff. I've been going there for a good while now. Never had a bad experience. They've always made me feel comfortable & welcomed.
I really like this plasma center. The staff are really personable and friendly. They are always looking for ways to improve the process to make it faster and more efficient for the people donating which I really appreciate. Some days are just busy but they do their best to communicate realistically with you why that is. Compensation is fair and they are always running promotions you can take advantage of. My favorite one they had recently was like a donation happy hour where if you donated at a certain tim
I loved my first experience at this donation center but upon my second visit. A bald gentleman with a long beard and glasses was very rude to me and other clients. Making it seem as if our presence was an inconvenience for him. Still giving 4 stars because I know this is a good facility but I'd prefer better treatment from the employees.
This place is amazing and the staff is great. They just promoted Samantha to management last month and she deserves it! She and all of her coworkers are polite, and professional. We will continue to donate here for a long time. Keep up the amazing job.
They are usually understaffed and busy. I'm okay with waiting, but this week, they made us wait outside in the smoke about 12 minutes past my appointment time. That is not right. This air quality is hazardous to health. One of the times I waited, the beds were far from full, so this is totally unnecessary. The lady who checked people in didn't seem to care about our well-being at all. Please have more promptness with getting clients in the building.
Be careful that you know exactly what you are expected to get paid. I thought that I was going to get new donor prices but since I donated here years ago, I only get new donor prices for the first two visits. I found this out yesterday after I was denied my delicious Subway sandwich because my card was declined after I had just gotten gas.
The staff are rude, and they act like they're irritated to be talking to you. Their attitudes remind me of how correction officers treat criminals. As a client I expect to be treated with the same respect that I show them, but for some reason they don't see it like that. I would avoid this place and go to telacris plasma center (same company different center), much better treatment of their clients. UPDATE: 8 months later, decided to try this place again, still no change. I made a 9:45 appointment, an
It was the reviews that brought me in, and the people keep me coming back!!! EVERY single visit has been as fast, easy and comfortable as they can make it. I don't think I have ever come across such a CONSISTANTLY friendly and welcoming group of people!!! Thank you for keeping it a great experience!
The staff at biomat are always so helpful and kind. Emily Lee has been the main person to help me out each time I come in and she is extremely professional and explains each step thoroughly! I'll be back !
Been going for years and it's perfect for me As I'm updating this review I can only say the experience has only gotten better and it was wonderful to begin with yester has been some up and downs but nothing with their performance, it only has to do with me and how my body is performing that day Still love it here! Update 2023, I still freaking love it here .
Everyone was super nice and helpful. No long lines. Worth the drive if it's out of the way. The woman who stuck me (I believe her name is Angela) was incredible. Little to no pain which is impressive because my veins are quite difficult.
This is a very unprofessional company. They don't treat their employees well. The staff treats customers like they need the money so they better snap too. My father was a fire fighter and I know the importance of plasma for burn victims. It would be nice if the customer was treated like a customer and not a pic going to slaughter. Percy is the exception, I've never heard of reverse racism but the way he treats Caucasian people is horrible and he is white. Go to another company, Biomat will not treat y
When is the new donor lady that was supposed to take my blood miss the vein so I asked her to pull the needle out so would not scar my arm or leave bruising then she treated me very poorly so I told the front desk what had happened but that I would return another day 5 days later came back to try again wanting a different person to take care of me in the computer that I did not complete the blood draw so they told me they needed to check my veins to see if they were okay to donate take me in the back gal sa
I think this place is literally my second home! Quinn and Angela are amazing!! They always take good care of me (as well as many others) and get us in and out. Honestly, every single staff member at Biomat are amazing and they are always providing the highest quality of care while providing an upbeat donating experience :) I have donated for many years, at different locations across the nation, and this plasma center is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and most efficient plasma center!!! Keep up the great
This place is wonderful! All of the phlebotomists I've had have been superb and knowledgeable! Special thanks to Nicole, Dee, Erinn, and Etima, for always putting a smile on my face!
These negative reviews are silly ??????? i used to donate at the Biomat down the street and stopped because of how chaotic, dirty, smelly, uncomfortable it was on top of long wait times. At this location it's clean, never overpacked, always well stocked, and the staff are so kind. I try to regularly donate twice a week and have never had to wait out in the lobby more than 15 minutes. I have medium/difficult veins because they're thin and very rolly; and after a few bruised experiences w a very specific phle
I've gone to donate a couple times, and both have been great experiences!! My last visit Kat and Sebastian were both really welcoming and efficient, super friendly, and helped answer all my silly questions. Keep up the good work guys!
The staff really do make this place amazing. I've been coming here on and off for the last 7 years and have received nothing but the best care. Shout out to Stefen, and absolute all-star and beacon of positive energy. Thank you!! (And Allegra, Matt, Peter, Gary, Chica, Joseph, Tory and all you other lovely people)
I get the feeling that everyone here cares about the donors and want to make them feel comfortable. They have a clean facility and treat everyone respectfully. The one time out of ten I had a mishap the edema wasn't too bad. Never happens on my left arm and still worth the effort to help someone who needs it.
I was a regular donor here for years. I've seen the staff turn over several times (which is a testament unto itself about this place) but this latest round of phlebotomists and managers are pretty subpar. Most of the phlebotomists are inexperienced and the constant problem of the facility being understaffed doesn't help. Recently, after about 3 years of donating, I was told by the new manager (tall white guy with a beard) that my veins were too difficult to deal with. After 3 years of regular donation my ve
Biomat is clean, well lit, has friendly staff and makes donating plasma easy. It is an all around pleasant experience. Donating plasma is a good service which helps in the creation of life saving plasma products. Help save a life or extend a life. What is stopping you from joining and donating plasma today?
These folks and this place are the best plasma collection facility our fair city has to offer. Each staff meamber is nothing but professional. They all seem to be smiling constantly if possible and interact very well with each other and their customers. Cleanliness is a number one priority as well. The people, with their attention to detail, make all the difference in the world. Great job to all of you!
I'm giving a 4 solely due to the changes corporate keeps making. Why is it that corporate keeps changing things that appear to be working like a well oiled machine. The grifol employees are amazingly nice and compassionate. All of the staff are helpful and always hustling. Claire stuck me today and I didn't feel a thing. I've been donating for years at grifol and I've seen some really good people leave the company because of corporate bs. I'm just a donor but I can be a thorn in your arse.
I had some issues with biomaterials. For three days the manager has been diligently working to help fix the issue. While although the issue could not be worked out first hand I'm very happy with my experience. My husband could not donate like we had hoped. However, when dealing with the manager we were treated with great respect and as individuals not as just a whole. I would go back anytime if that I need the place
While this is the only place I've donated, I have few complaints. My only complaint really was on my first day when someone behind the counter questioned me about my medical history, out loud, in the waiting room. I felt it was very unprofessional. But overall the staff is so nice and they have gotten more efficient over the few months I started coming here. I feel comfortable donating.
Helpful, friendly staff here. I have been a donor at this location for a while. Have seen many great people from all over the planet study phlebotomy here. There is a nice pleasant atmosphere here that feels united. I would highly recommend donating here, especially if it's your first time donating plasma.
I've been a regular for over a year. I've also been to other Plasma Centers. In all, I've been donating for over a decade. Based upon my considerable experience, I have given this particular center the highest possible rating. The staff is super professional, friendly and most importantly, responsive. The facility is immaculate and very inviting. They even have a security guard out front to make sure your car, bike, or whatever, stays safe. Even the clientele this center attracts is superb. That having bee
In the past I have frequently donated for Grifols plasma, the on boarding process to sitting in a seat getting plasma drawn is a little bit of a process but really the only time you need to pull out some extra patience, they pay well compared to most other donation centers I have donated at in the past. I feel like a lot of the bad reviews on here are coming from self-entitled individuals, no process is perfect and at times it takes longer to get through but that is with almost every establishment, the mone
It is crazy slow first visit will take 3-4 hours and about 2 hours after. Most of the staff is somewhat nice but there are a few really rude ones like this asian chick with short hair, she is rude and gives me dirty looks and makes it uncomfortable to be there. You can tell the majority of the staff is not well trained.
Every single time I've come in here I have the same experience. That experience being amazing, every single staff member is so so kind and actually is willing to have a conversation. They make the process enjoyable and easy! Absolutely amazing place to donate ??
It's hard to give this place an accurate star rating because it can be such a mixed bag. I'll start with the good: the facility is clean, normally very comfortable (though can sometimes run a little cold, especially considering that they're pumping you full of anti-coagulants and fluids), and by and large, the staff is pleasant. Their clientele is also usually composed of respectable enough folks. They have streamlined their donation process in the last few months (I have been donating for close to a year n
The Biomat employees are quite knowledgeable on what they are doing and they are keeping the facility sanitized even after the year we have had after the pandemic and the rising of the homeless population. The remain open and are quite helpful. Best place to go to make some extra money for only an hour of your time and you are helping to save others in the process with your donation
I have been coming here over a year. The people are fine. But the set up is slow and out dated. They don't keep up with who was in line first. This happens every time I'm here. They just act like they don't notice you. They Have no hustle when it comes to letting you get out of the chair and leaving. So if you go to any other donation center it takes 2 hours tops. Here I plan for 3 or 4 because the inconsistent wait is a shot in the dark. I don't want to be rude or complain so I'm here. Seriously a slight
I've gone here for the last two months. The staff is nice but they seem stressed and understaffed this maybe due to hard time finding employees to stiffer budget restrictions... that doesn't bother me but I just feel bad for the staff. Seems like they have quite a few rude people comming in I'm sure. The first visit does take a long time though...
I have been donating at this location for about 3 years and it has always had high standards for cleanliness customer service. Even throughout policy changes and sometimes staffing troubles, the people here are helpful and will take the time to talk to you no matter how busy they are.
Was loyal here for about a year and a half. Twice a week would come in even when the return donor pay dropped considerably. I'm going to start going to octapharma instead now due to a few reasons but Some of the staff is very rude . Some reviews on here mention a tall bald man with a beard who is rude his name is John.
I've been donating here for multiple years. The processes have improved the flow tremendously! Every one that works here is so sweet and friendly! Please keep in mind how important your employees are! They make this place run! I love you guys!
First and foremost, any low star posts in the last 6 months are anomalies. Grifols-Biomat has been nothing but professional and thinking about the health of donors. I have had to wait occasionally due to signing up during a peak time to be able to get back for the medical check or to get unhooked when I was done, but I can see the employees working hard to do what is necessary. Sometimes they can't call you back to get through the start process because spaces are full in the back, I get that, I've seen i
Made all all the way to the donation waiting room only for their incompetent employees to tell me that my address isn't within range. I called previously to make sure and they said it was fine. The manager gave me $20 for my time wasted ...wow $20. Worst place ever. They make me wait two hours an answer 500 questions and make us pay attention closely when they can't do that themselves. The incompetence, wow.
Constantly have to call to get your bonuses paid out. I called tonight and was told to call back in 10 minutes if it hadn't shown up. Well I called back 15 times and waited 45 minutes at the bank because they all just went home for the night.... thanks for wasting my time!!! Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that values your time/donations.
The lady at the front this week let me know they are robbing people even more by not offering intro bonuses to people who haven't been in over a year. They make so much off these donations, they could take waaaay better care of their donors.
This plasma center is top tier. The staff is the most friendly and skillful people around! Gary is number 1! I always love coming here to donate because of the people who make it feel special. Everyone here makes it fun to donate with their jokes and playful personalities to help keep it lighthearted while donating. Shoutout to the whole squad (David, Bobbi, Joe, Chika, Stefen, Emily, Max, Logan, Dui, Liz, Allegra, Marie, Trinity, Betty, Anela, Makayla, Britney, Shadoe, Dee, Erin, Tania, Mackenzie, and even
I've been donating here for the better part of six months. The facility is clean, has a big waiting room, offers free wifi to donors, and shows movies all the time (there's subtitles - you can hear pretty well in the waiting room, but the subtitles come in handy when you're in the donation center). The staff is pretty friendly - though sometimes they can be a little curt if they're busy. The wait times can be a little long - one day I was in and out in less than 90 minutes. Yesterday, it was almost 2 hours
I've been coming here on and off for 6 years and I love it, they hire great people and the compensation gets better all the time. To be able to help others and save money for the first time in my life is something I feel very grateful for.
Wow hard to believe this place, sat for 45 min. before they even took my name. Then sat for another 30 hr then realized they called a persons name that arrived long after i did. When i asked why they gave me a totally unjustifiable reason. I knew is wasnt true. When i asked how much longer i would expect to be here they could not guarantee it would be less then 5 hours. All this waiting time in my opinion is lack of good management. I really would like to contact the higher management and inform them t
This place turned me away because I got kicked out of my place and that makes me "homeless". I told them I needed the money for a hotel for me and my pregnant fiance and our two children. They had no compassion and showed no care at all. This establishment is garbage and has no morals. So me and my family thank you for letting us sleep in the street tonight.
If you're going to donate plasma in Portland, this is the place to go! I'm a former donor of Talecris and decided to try out Biomat since they're closer to me and the payout is better. Turns out the overall experience is better too! Biomat not only pays more, but the process is quicker due to the machines that they use, and their employees are just the sweetest. Both times I've been in here, all of the employees were laid back, had a chipper attitude, and were joking with each other nonstop. Everyone gets t
The initial visit takes about 4-5 hours, but every visit after that usually takes no longer than 2 hours. Staff is friendly. I have had no issues when being "poked". People complain about wait time, but don't really think about how much you're making per hour. $70/week for 4 hours of my time is well worth it. You get $50 for your first two visits, that should take care of your wait time. ;)
Super friendly staff. Decently quick on the wait time, just gotta be smart with the appointments. I've donated at Octapharma and Biolife, by far centers owned and ran by Grifols are way better. Awesome raffles and bonuses. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I plan on continuing to donate here. Grifols is a good company.
I love donating here. The staff is so friendly and some are really funny. Angela and Victoria are two of my favorites. They are both always happy and really efficient.
Everyone here is super friendly, really professional, and this potentially dangerous, potentially painful experience is made problem and pain free every time. I wish that I lived closer, but these people always make me feel taken care of.
Angela is by far the best phlebotomist at any center I've ever been too. Most hospitals too. Don't forget to request her if you're not big on needles. She gets it done every time without fail.
I can finally replace my 1 star review with a better one. It's been years since I've been here, and now that I've returned the place has gotten a lot better. The employees are all super friendly now and are great at what they do.
The staff is extremely caring and kind. They make the procedure enjoyable as well as they are good for a few laughs. I enjoy my twice-a-week donations and plan to keep coming back
Very nice place to donate. The people are respectful, do their job right. Appears to be a very clean facility. The first donation does take a long time, but every other donation takes roughly two hours, one to get set up, and one to donate. Would recommend this facility to donors
The people are nice and it's nice that you can make appointments but I think this whole bonus program is a bunch of BS. I don't think anybody ever wins anything. I think it's just a way to get people to donate and then they always get their donations but we don't always get our prizes or what we're supposed to be given, also biomat reserve the right to cancel or change the bonuses at any time without notice or explanation, so I think that's a bit up setting, in I think u should have a loyalty program for pe
Every decision this place makes is worse than the last one, not only did the price go down again but they open super late on Fridays and close super early on weekends. Glad I don't go here anymore.
I really like donating here. The center is clean and you can tell the staff works hard to keep the place running smoothly. Somedays take longer than others to get in the back but they have busy times like any other business. Erika, Chryl, Lexi, Shawn, Jeremy, Shelby, Cory, Dewy and Alyssa are all excelent workers. I honestly couldnt ask for a better place to donate!
UPDATE: AFTER TRYING TO MAKE A COMPLAINT AT A GRIFFOLS CORPORATE LEVEL, THE REQUEST WAS INTERCEPTED BY THE CENTER MANAGER WHO DID NOT CARE TO LISTEN OR BE HELPFUL, BUT INSTEAD CHOSE TO GASLIGHT ME ABOUT MY OWN DECISIONS, NOT THE LACK OF CLEAR POLICY AND MISLEADING INFORMATION GIVEN OUT BY CENTER STAFF. WHEN I STATED THAT IF THIS IS HOW THEY ARE CHOOSING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION, THEN I DO NOT HAVE ANY INTEREST IN SPEAKING FURTHER OR DONATING WITH THEM AND THEY REPEATEDLY CALLED MY PHONE NUMBER AFTER MULTIPLE
This place is abysmal. I didn't have a problem with the people being rude or anything, what I had a problem was the fact that they had me wait three hours to get in so that they could tell me my veins are too small and send me home. I told them that I've donated plasma before at the CSL center and they said that the staff there are more experienced than the staff at Biomat, so basically what they told me is that they're staff are too incompetent to draw blood from me. Don't go to this place, it's horrible.
New online schedule process SUCKS! Made to wait even if you walk in. Be late for your appointment and you need to reschedule and wait even longer. It would seem the company is determined to complicate the process to the point it's not worth doing it. This process is voluntary but if you complicate it, people won't want to do it anymore, or will go to their competitor CSL. Wonder how fast their client base will drop off because of this new procedure?
If you've ever lived in Europe, don't bother trying to donate. They will waste 3 hours of your time and then tell you that you are unqualified. A very unprofessional business. I literally waited to be called up, read a million pages of information, did a chart of what piercings I've had, peed in a cup, got my picture taken, watched a video, and then got asked a million times if I've ever had sex with a man, just to get automatically disqualified for living in Europe in the mid 90s because my dad was in the
Not a bad experience except the Citibank prepaid card they pay you to is blatantly dishonest and unfair, charging little fees for everything including checking your balance or for failed transactions that should have gone through. Online transactions don't seem to work so you have to pay a fee to withdraw money and then pay more fees to buy another prepaid card to pay whatever your online bill is. Unbelievably dishonest if not illegal.
I've been donating a few months now. I've been throughly impressed with the staff, in particular Sam. Because I have difficult veins, I always need an elite tech to work with me. Management, if you're listening, give Sam a raise.
Good experience. The place looked clean, and the people at the front were professional. Mark was very helpful and chill throughout the process.
The only reason that it isn't 5 stars is that the Citi card sucks. They charge fees for EVERYTHING, but the way to get around that is this: I had $50 on my card. I went to WinCo customer service and bought a $0.15 honey stick and asked for $49.85 cash back. Boom, all money withdrawn, no fee paid. I learned this from one of the staff members at the Biomat! Very clean and friendly facility. Most of the staff is very nice, and they crack jokes all the time. They play good movies, too. They should have a Har
Very clean, staff are super friendly are careful, Short wait times, even my first time only took 2 hours! sam is very nice and all staff make sure you are comfortable the whole process.
I was a first time donor, they made the experience very comfortable and the staff was very nice. I was in and out in 2 hours. I was nerves at first but now I'm going back in three days with confidence
Great place. Go here every week; no issues with staff. Dee and Nicole are the best!
This location is fantastic. The staff is very courteous, professional and efficient. It makes donating here a rewarding process.
Love this place! Really clean and the staff are great. They are super fast, I can get in and out in about an hour
I'm here to give a shout out to all the staff there at Grifols. I've been donating for many years and this facility has been a fine job of not messing up and they are doing my stick them in the mail mistakes but I mean like where I had to leave and get deferred anything like that so I want to say thank you to everybody if I don't mention your name is not that I forgot about you it's just forgive me so I want to thank Tara Sara Caleb Sam Greg pretty face Sam A i?ve been donating for many years and this facil
Very professional, clean environment. It's the fastest I have ever donated. The new machines are great and the staff are awesome people.
The place is clean, the staff are mostly very friendly and they pay pretty well considering all you do is sit in a chair for about an hour. The wait times can be a little annoying but that's what happens when lots of people find a good place to make money.
Staff states my Albumin levels are not in range. I told my GP and she ordered the blood tests. The results didn't take 2 weeks like this place! The results showed my levels to be well within a healthy range, so not sure how high they want your level but has to be higher than normal. My doctor had test ran twice as the 2nd test through Grifols also stated low??? Makes very little sense and wonder as to the validity of their lab! I recommend CSL plasma as there isn't a run around and/or waste of your time.
I have so much fun with the friendly, informative, gentle, and professional staff! They make the whole experience a great time and happy to answer my millions of questions about the plasma process. I literally look forward to each visit- go team Biomat!!!
Such a clean and organized place. The staff is super friendly and funny! So glad my neighbor told me about this place!
I really love the staff especially Sara and Mel. They're always so sweet and they also call me cute little names. They're so cute..little mookie babies
Had to wait 5 hrs to even start new donor paperwork! RIDICULOUS!! YES... The people are somewhat professional... But waiting 5 hrs to even start paperwork, and then to be sent home. Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS! There are plenty of other quicker offices in the Portland area!
Vee is my fav!! My bf & I say she's like a ray of sunshine & really brings the positivity in a place that can be super hectic at time! She's the best ?stick-er? too! Seriously, she deserves some recognition!
Biomat staff are amazing and incredibly helpful. I've been donating there for over a year now and I'm never disappointed with the quality and the treatment that they give all of their donors.
The staff here are so warm, inviting and professional. Whenever I had a question or concern, someone was always right there to help. Also, for someone as afraid of needles as I am, I hardly flinch when it's time to donate.
Was not sure at first but got familia with the staff found my regular stickers and have been doin this for 4 months. Never had a problem in out done. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly Erica can't miss and I have small vains. Its totally different than what I thought it would be
Good, clean facility with wonderful, attentive staff. Regularly updating and renovating to increase comfort, speed up processes, and make for an overall more positive experience.
I've been coming here on and off for years, great staff, very helpful and they make donating so much fun! Much cleaner and nicer than other centers around.
They falsified my medical documentation and refused to correct it even after multiple letters from primary care provider. Then when I went to another facility on they recommended they took it upon themselves to contact that facility and perpetuate the lies.
Great staff they are awesome, sweet , very easy to talk to and enjoy alot of them when I come in.
Donated a few times and the people here rock! Always super nice and fun to be around
Staff always friendly from walking in the door to leaving. Usually chat with staff and that makes procedure easier. I am thrilled to donate as plasma is used for life saving medicines.
I am so happy a friend told me about Biomat! I was going to CSL in Hillsboro, I lives in Beaverton. CSL was slow, very low payment programs, and their needle was larger so I got bruised all the time, which CSL will not let you donate with any bruising. I love that Biomat is fast, always friendly, great pay, a smaller needle, and I can still donate with 1 arm bruised. Angela is fabulous as 1 of their senior staff. If you want some extra cash, and help save lives come see Angela and her tea at Biomat on 82nd
This place is amazing. THey have all this good stuff; Clean facility, friendly staff, and you get to save lives! Also those new donor donor fees are great! Would donate again.
Staff are great people, but waiting at times can be slow. But in my opinion for return donor's it moves way more faster. Great improvement
They discriminate against African American people i Came 2 times and both times they singled me out for doin what other people were doin (eyes closed for a second, being on my phone with kids) they put inaccurate info in they system and because of that wanted to examine my body with no clothes on instead of taking my word I WAS COMPLETELY UNCOMFORTABLE DOIN THAT waiting for supervisor now IM AM LIVID..!.!.!.
Wow wow. The friendliest staff I have ever met honestly. I don't know what else to say. Had a wonderful experience.
Im beyond great full for the kindness and knowledge and support that Angela the head nurse . I consider her as a friend for how she treats us all This program is so amazing and honestly means so much to me. Thank you
They are never on the same page and they seem to play favoritism so beware when going there .Also they wont honor referral bonuses even if your friend donated before they discontinued it how fair is that?
The staff was friendly and the whole process was quick and easy, I recommend this place for its friendly staff and cleanliness of the facility.
Go between Sunday and Thursday the top flobatamist is great, super funny and gets your arm the best. But also, the weekend team is really upbeat and funnny and funny to be around
Sam at the 82nd location in Portland Oregon ensures that I have a pleasant experience. She makes me feel valued as a donor. Whenever I need assistance she handles whatever problem arises.
If it was not for Sam and Greg I probably would not come back. They are the only two that can hit the vein in my left arm with out brushing me. Caroline is amazing too!
I really wish I could give this place no stars. I was ask inappropriate questions about my private parts by the intake doctor. I've called multiple times to the company to complain. They have done nothing. Last I checked genitalia has nothing to do with donating plasma. The experience has added to my sexual assault trauma. Please try donating to another clinic.
It's fantastic to know I'm giving the best to the best great people staff and it gives back
I started going to this donation site in August of 2014. The first time you go it can take a rather long time depending on how many donors are there altogether while subsequent visits the time varies a bit but is much shorter than the first Be polite to the staff and they will be more than polite to you. I actually would have started donating plasma a long time ago but all the reviews online that i had read were very negative, dirty donation site and erm people (donors) that were described as possibly be
The staff and pay are great but the time is really getting to the point of not coming back a return Donor time shouldn't be as long a new person and it shouldn't take two hours just to get to the back and then have to on the donor bed and wait another half hour and please stop leaving people to sit for twenty minutes after the last cycle with the needle in their arm it happens almost every time if you can't attend to everyone in a good time hire more people or don't have so many at one time
The employees are somewhat nice lol i guess people Quite alot so new people come in like every month don't let just anyone stick you ask about there work history there first
Every experience has been great except 1 (found out that a rookie named Anastasia poked me , wasn't Supposed to ! and I was in pain the whole time ... do not let her use a needle on u if u don't tell her no she will do it anywAys !!) Usually There is a wonderful spicey woman that I choose to poke me anytime I go here and I would recommend her over anyone in that building Sam is the best !
First time I have ever donated plasma, and they made me feel so comfortable. Plus the staff is not only professional but sarcastic and amazing like family.
Staff is kind and polite. Takes soooo long to get through recently. Understaffed, inefficient. But the staff they do have are competent and skilled.
The staff is wonderful! Good pay for a couple hours of your time . Not to mention with your donation they make products that save lives !
The center has made tremendous leaps and bounds In progressing towards a better donation center better orginization and efficiency in getting people in and processing them without feeling like your being rushed from the day I first walked the the door in 2011 definetly proud of the staff and management as a whole love talking about my Wildland firefighting stories and answering questions about Wildland firefighting with the staff as I donate as well keep up the good work
Best way to get an extra hundred bucks every week! everyone was super nice and helpful. go on a wednesday, way less busy than monday or friday. And go in a half hour before they open, you will be first on the list
It's a great and easy way to make some quick money and also help people around you! professional! The staff are great.
Went to donate after being denied for not having a piece of mail last week. Had a letter sent to the address in which we just moved to and it was postmarked but because they couldnt see or comprehend the postmark date they refused me. It was in my file about the mail for this week... Who takes a Federal chance by FORGING a government stamp to make 50????? Whos gonna say "I'LL TAKE 17 YEARS IN THE FEDERAL PEN FOR $50 BOB!!" ????? Itz the end of the day and they rather turn you away cuz theyre tired SNMMFN
This place is great. Great friendly staff that are outstanding at their jobs. Very clean establishment as well.
I love this place. The staff are very funny and nice. They usually play pretty good movies and they almost always offer bonuses
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, quick too, im usually out in less than 45 minutes. Two thumbs up.
Great staff and the process is so main stream now. Takes 45-60 mins and just make sure to eat healthy that day and plenty of water.
I have been going here for 3 years now and I have yet to have a negative experience. Everyone is so nice and friendly, I love all the staff, they are very personable.
Staff was so warm and welcoming. It was my first time donating plasma and they knew what they were doing and they made the process fun.
Well my experience at grifols is always great.. The team really makes you feel like family.. everyone is always nice and polight..
I have an issue of of the fact that u register 6.4 or above on protein and when u go in u cant donate because when they do a wider analysis ur sitting at a 5.9...then im told to call in to see if results are back after 7 days they say no....which means if im lucky i can donate next week cause dr is only in one day a week on fridays to approve ur test results.....
Just donated for the first time. I had a lot of fun talking to the employees, they were fast and helpful. Recommended place to donate!
This place is good but you better be sure that all your paperwork is in order or you'll get hosed. Also they say they don't share info and that's a bold faced lie
Very clean facility as well as pleasant and knowledgeable staff! And the bonuses are great especially if you have stacked bonuses!
I been going here for 4 months and I know do they best then with the staff they have. And the only time I have a long wait is when the place is pack. Even when that happens the wait is not that long..
Super friendly employees. Emily was very sweet during the procedure.
It's great. They even give you back your blood. Not like those vampires @ Red Cross
very professional and efficient! Angela is my #1 go to for painless, anxiety free sticks.
Ever since I started coming here at the end of January. I feel like family. Everyone is very kind and efficient and very funny!
Even after donating for almost 2 years, every staff member continues to make me feel at home, is extremely helpful and courteous
Great people, honestly the people are why I keep coming back.. Pretty painless process and decent money for sitting around watching movies while they harvest the plasma. ??
The staff are incredibly friendly and I have never had to wait more than a couple minutes at any station!
Been coming here for a little over a year and everyone is always so friendly and makes sure I'm comfortable while donating ??
Awesome staff. Good pay for donating and excellent bonus pay. Also Sarah is an awesome hard worker!
the staff is excellent, very kind and friendly. They may joke a little but you are great a needle stick in you.
I go here cuz I am crushin on all the lovely phlebotomists. Im not a Grifols employee I can say it.
This place was a joke the person i had was very untrained and said i look like a drug user and never used drugs in my life and when i talk to management and showed them my paperwork from my doctors show i just wrnt got a thorough testing everything was negative he said decision was made and he would talk to staff
These people are so professional and personable. They treat you with respect and get you through the wait as fast as possible.
I love the people that work here, it's like a 2nd family and the best atmosphere I've ever been around. Very friendly people
Great staff very short wait times they let me be myself and feels like a home atmosphere love to help save lives
Anyone know how to make appointments off you're phone before coming in ???? I went in today at 8am I was sent home because they didn't tell me how many times I could come in or even make an appiontment before coming in.. lame .
Everyone is SO friendly and professional. I feel like they are friends. The facility is also very clean.
Only worth it for the 1st 4x, then after that the money isn't worth it anymore . They also find ways to not allow you to donate n therefore miss bonuses and other money... not worth your time n gas !
Not happy on my last visite. I donated 2 times this week and was denide the $40 bonus. In not sure if ill go back. 7151
Legit all round Great staff Good base payout Fun cash and prize incentives Movies w subtitles I love this place! Again, GREAT STAFF!!!!
I recommend donating plasma at this facility. The staff here are friendly and very helpful especially Lexi who always has a smile on her face. Thank you for everything everyone.
I have been treated with respect by all staff. Clean & comfortable environment. I will continue to donate at Biomat USA. LOYAL DONATOR
I come here cause the staff is real friendly. Angela always makes the experience more fun
Biomat?s is the best place to go. it is a lot better the CSL Biomat is friendlier and the treat you like they are family. I recommend everybody to go to Biomat
I donate here at biomate they are really good at comunication. They are making the process better by trying different techniques that might make the process faster. I would recommend this place to donate at. Darlene woods
So living in your car is a problem for them. Don't go here if you can, and if you do don't tell them you're living in your car or anything about your self. Just get in and tell them what they want to hear and that's it. F this place
Nice facility but the woman's bathroom in the lobby smells like beefaroni
The staff are great and they will definitely make you as comfortable as possible.
Great and friendly staff. Fast, efficient and professional. The place to go when donating.
Erica is the BOMB!! Been coming here for over 4 yrs, great place, and the nicest kids you'd ever want to stick you!????
Always the best experience! The staff here is kind beyond words.

This place is a joke they have to stick me twice everything cause they don't know what the hell there doing. Screw this place
Very friendly service and quick paperwork process. I will most definitely be returning to donate again.
Helping others while getting extra cash. Thanks to all the staff who work so hard keeping us safe.
Good place. Some hardworking people that care about doing a good job and taking care of the donors.
They are very nice friendly staffThe place is clean andIt's like visiting friends
Some of the people there are nice, but some are just looking for an excuse to defer you. And if they decide they don't like you they will make up a reason to defer you.
I personally know that the staff here are amazing people, I like and appreciate this place with the extra $300.00 a month I get.
Great biomat, very clean. Angela and staff are awesome!! Come donate, help save lives!!
Very polite and helpful I was a first time donor and was pleased with the service and professional care of the staff.
This place has extremely friendly management and are wonderful people, making the whole process incredibly easy!
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
