Reviews Summary

The consensus reveals mixed experiences, with common complaints about extremely long wait times (often 2-5 hours), disorganization, understaffing, and inconsistent phlebotomist skill—some causing painful or botched donations. Positive reviews highlight friendly, efficient staff and smooth processes when operations run well. Many criticize poor management, unclean facilities, and deceptive practices (e.g., machine calibration issues). While some appreciate the payment/referral programs, others feel undervalued due to low pay or lack of bonuses compared to competitors. First-time donors often face confusion or rigid scheduling. Overall, satisfaction heavily depends on timing, luck with staff, and tolerance for delays.

I've never not been a fan of CSL until now. 4 or 5 months ago, I would?ve given them 4-5 stars. Then they got rid of rewards, then they lowered the payouts (not raised to match inflation, lowered), then they got new machines and lowered the payouts scales again. I've never really considered going anywhere else since switching to CSL from GRIFOLS, but I'm considering now after my experience yesterday. I'm assuming the new machines will be a good thing someday, but so far they made my wait time a few hours lo

The pay was not great to begin with but then they lowered it in November. In December, they're ending their rewards program, happy holidays. Then they tell you that they really appreciate the donors. I think what they appreciate is taking advantage of the donors. They're only redeeming feature is that they have some great phlebotomists, far better than octapharma. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for their low pay and long wait times due to poor staffing.

sadly, this place has gone downhill. I know the company makes a lot of money, so I don't know why they would lower their pay rates for donors. Definitely do not have enough staff to be running this place heard that they are on a freeze for hiring and the stuff that they do have seem like they don't want to be there. I've asked for a manager and I had to wait about an hour before the manager came to talk to me. A lot of homeless people donate here they let anybody donate. You could tell a bunch of these peop

Absolutely love it here! Fast, Reliable and most importantly friendly! I'm an anxious person but the staff is welcoming and helpful with answer to all my answers! Shout out Dylan on the floor for explaining the new riKA machines and a clean poker!

When they had their old machines I never waited more than 20 minutes and then I'd be hooked up for 55minutes no big deal. Now they have new machines that are supposed to to make them faster but actually I've sat in line for 3 hours while the workers go on break in the middle of the rush which when I worked a service job we didn't do. The new machines also take forever to set up and take down so they run much less people through at a time. They just need better efficiency more staff and should?ve been traine

I just want to recognize Chris. He's awesome. By far my favorite plasma employee that I've ever dealt with. And I've been donating for over 10 years. Your employees deserve more from you CSL. They work way harder than what you guys recognize them for.

I have been all about plasma donation for over 20 years, all over Utah. I decided to try CSL because it was very near my job. No appointments which is a huge downvote for me. Standing around for 2 hours is not appealing. When I found out how much the payout was after the new donor promotion I was appalled. It is barely above what I used to make back in the day when it was cash they would give you. When I nicely asked one of the workers she told me it was the drug companies paying less for the plasma. Makes

Thought this place would be a nice way to get extra money to pay for school. I waited at the front desk to be attended to for an hour. They would walk past me and act like they didn't see me. I had a couple questions and it seemed like they were in a hurry. They gave me very short answers. I've seen a couple of girls in the front just talking and not doing anything. Ended up donating and had to get re sticked two times by different phlebotomist and they didn't seem like they cared or had feelings. Staff is

It's been taking 3 hours to donate lately. In the last few months I've gotten 3 bad sticks that missed my veins and caused a lot of pain and swelling. They lowered the oay to profit more. The copy and paste responses on their reviews show they're just another corporation and they don't care about anyone's feedback. After this week I'm going back to Biomat.

This wait is getting ridiculous? then on top of you have Anti D donors cut in front on people who have been waiting they should really wait like the rest of us it's outrageous

One of the worst centers ever. The employees just stand around doing nothing majority of time despite seeing the long lines. You might go through the donation process fast, but just to get back in a chair takes 3 almost 4 hours. Not to mention having to wait to get un hooked

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! This place is by far the WORST plasma donation place I have ever stepped foot in. Even though it looks super shabby, run down, out of date, and full of crackheads, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and wanted to give it a second chance, since they turned me away the first time I came, that was a huge mistake. I just left the building because I was sick and tired of waiting hours with no answers from anybody. Hours after hours of waiting, all I see are people who came in after me g

They do not have enough staff to be running this place. I've been waiting in line for three hours! No only did I wait in line for three hours but I waited just to get a huge bruise afterwards. After my donation I asked if they could look at this bruise they could care less and told me that it was normal that happens. I've seen many of their employees outside smoking when there is a huge line. I've complained to the Manager and the Manager didn't do anything. Worst donation place ever go somewhere else

Edited a former 1 star review to leave a new review... It is unfortunate, for whatever the reasons, that this location is struggling across the board operationally as they are. Machines breakdown at an alarming rate, phlebs and techs can't keep up with machine resets, they can't get enough donors into beds, they're understaffed, and wait times due to these issues are untenable. I've been donating plasma for many years and I've never been as disappointed in a center or as unmotivated to donate as I am here.

It was my first time at the CSL center I'm a new person in salt lake City been donating plasma for a long time Back In My Home Town was very satisfied Michae Supervisor l really helped me With my Changes To my New CSL. CENTER

Process of getting checked in to being hooked up took about 2 hours. Went on a Sunday and they had about 11 other people waiting in line. Sam was extremely kind and talked me through the whole process. Kim was a total miracle and was fast and totally a perfectionist. Not painful at all, people donating are super friendly and staff knows half by name. Definitely coming back. Plus the new donor bonus is a total bonus ?? be sure to drink tons of water before you go

Excellent plasma center. The phlebotomists are great. Dylan did a great job, loved the nurse staff as well. I used to donate with biolife but I highly recommend these guys!

I have been donating for over a year and no a problem once. You have busy days or easy days but the stuff is always great , and the money is on the card at the second you done with the donation. It's what it is. ??

Longer than normal wait times, lower pay! One phlebotomist, one setting up and one disconnecting! Not worth my time anymore or the money. Last time I'm coming!!!!!!!

Stand in line for 3 hours. Then when your done they take 1 hour to disconnect you. Staff stand around and pretend not see you that you are done. Be prepared to stand in line forever and not to be seen when your done.

Avoid this place at all costs until they fix their process. I was going twice a week for about 6 months until they changed their intake procedure, which amounts to their staff being cut in half and the donation process taking twice as long as it used to. It's a fairly recent change that was billed as "enhancing the donor experience" but I'm assuming some high forehead in the corporate office decided to cut staff. Pretty sad really, I have nothing bad to say about the staff that is there, they've always been

With all centers closing on Sundays now, I'll need to go to a different company. This location is bad about just leaving you with a needle long after your donation finished

Honestly great places. Friendly staff (they laugh at my bad jokes) Dylan is absolutely awesome dude is on point.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nice compensation. The whole process isn't bad and doesn't take too long. Kinda cold, so I bring a small blanket.

Takes forever to donate even if you're very early before they open. They told me I was smoking drugs in the bathroom???? They don't have cameras in the bathroom and I don't do drugs, even marijuana. I've had LOTS of issues with the staff here while I was extremely friendly. My heart rate has been too high the past 3 times which doesn't sound like smoking an opiate would not be possible with a high heart rate. I feel personally attacked and HIGHLY recommend to not go here to donate.

"There is not enough staff to get people moving. Staff is to slow or exhausted or just don't care. Bad service. Let's try mid vale location..

Love this plasma location. I have been to many others before and this is by far my favorite. They are fast and everyone is incredibly friendly. They know what they are doing and rarely ever have any issues. I always try to get my friends to go here for their first time donating because I fully trust they will have a good first experience. If it's your first time or feel unsure or even scared, I truly recommend going here first. You will be in good hands!

The worst!!! Short handed staff!! Filthy dirty! Phone was never answered. Their medical staff is a joke. My 5 year old knows more than they do. They are medically responsible for the donors?? No thanks!! Octapharma is much better!!

This is the worst donation center I have ever been to. I called in advance to make sure that I would be able to be checked in as a new donor on the timeframe that I was allowed. After getting there and standing in line for an hour and a half they told me I was in the wrong place and they were unable to take me. The woman that spoke to me was old so I was kind however she was very nasty and acted as if it was my fault. I refused to ever go back to this donation center. If I could call the corporate, I would

I gave two stars because CSL plasma has been the first center I've gone to and have always came back to. Usually they are pretty good, however these last six times I have came in to become a donor again, I am always told to come back. The first two times I can understand because I showed up later in the day, the next four times are utterly ridiculous and today being the last time I will come here set me over the edge. First I was told over the phone it is walk in basis only, so I walk in the next day at abo

CSL Plasma is the absolute worst plasma donation company in Utah. Stay as far away as possible. The company says over $700 for new donors on the website, but when I called and wrote customer service, they couldn't cite any center in the U.S. that pays that much. Salt Lake City certainly doesn't. Who likes bait and switch?

I set up an account via their app and setup my first donation appointment. I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment to make sure I don't make anyone wait cause I don't know if I have to fill out anything or how it is. I was standing there for the full 30 minutes, some lady comes up to me and I tell her that I am a new donor and she says they are not accepting new donors. I asked then why did the app let me choose the clinic and set up an appointment. She stated they don't... but didn't say what they didn'

Good. Line isn't too long today. Always busy Mondays and weekends.

What a terrible system they have. Through the app and new donor screening I filled out, I was then informed to make an appointment and come in to get the new donor process going. When I got there they told me they weren't taking any new donors. This was at 3 pm. I asked can I do anything today to make the process faster for tomorrow so when I am available to come at 3 pm. She told me no either come in the morning or nothing. How is that okay for those who can't make it early in the morning? I'll definitely

I have been donating off and on for years. I got there early to make sure I had a quick and painless process. Everything was going great until I saw the quality of the machine they put me at to donate (cracked and the return light didn't even work) I donated rather quickly until the last return where the machine would stop working every other second (literally) apparently it was clogged. I watched several people who got started after me leave one by one. My arm started hurting quite badly so I asked to have

I love coming here the staff does their best, and they treat you like family Nate, Michael, Chris are awesome running it... Brandi, Monica, Rhiannon are amazing on the Screening end... Steven, and Lee are great they have the best bed side manner and they are very good at what they do... Austin is amazing he's always will to help, and Missy you always make us laugh ?? to the rest of the crew at CSL thank you for doing what you and to the medical staff gold star ??

Pros: the compensation is reasonable, the transfer money to your bank account is awesome, clean facility, the staff is nice. Cons: the wait, the standing around, nowhere to sit, the lines can get scrambled.

I have been trying to donate for a month. I had to let my sores heal up because I have a cat and couldn't donate until they healed. Once healed I went back and it was 12pm and it was my day off and the lady told me I couldn't donate because it was too late in the day. I told the lady I didn't mind waiting but she turned me away. So went back on my next day off and went through a 3 hour process to get signed up and into the computer and just about to go donate just to get told I can't and have to wait until

Takes too long for screening process no one should have to wait 2hrs in line to donate at least put chairs in the waiting line. Stop accepting new donors when you don't even have enough people to screen the return donors and start answering the phone

So... We've all been quite involved in Covid this year. It's taken its toll getting a vaccine quick, and testing people. Donations are NEEDED badly. No better place than CSL Plasma! Great smiles, and professionals! Please give and tell all you know!

Feels very scammy. No one was at front desk when I walked in as a first time donor. No signage, no direction, nothing. Waited in line and followed a random voice shouting for next to go to booth 6. Got told that new donors can only come in between 7 - 11am, Monday thru Friday. When I asked why that's not stated on the app or on their website got told that they're a walk in facility. Not helpful or answered my question. The staff member then shouted for the next in line. I probably won't be going back as I

I got 7am at the line, it was already busy but this is not eventful in a plasma center and it was a problem I expected. The thing that makes the service horrible here is how slow everyone goes before you start your donation. (Important detail: I'm not a new donor so takes less time for me). The phlebotomists can be great if you are lucky, if you are not they will struggle to find your vein.

i got a pretty big hematoma on my left arm and when it happened i got pretty freaked out (which anyone would be when you have huge bumps emerging on your arm and it hurts) which made me only able to donate on my right arm for a couple weeks til the bruising went away, the next donation went fine then the one after that they kept gabbing me with the needle over 7 times trying to get a vein after i had asked for a sr to poke me (which didn't happen) and i started sweating and one of the staff told me i should

Friendly and experienced staff, clean yet usually pretty busy. Suggest getting here early

where to start not one employe has any urgency to do anything. the medical staff think they are narcotics officer. marcea a manager does nothing and nothing gets done in a timely matter. i would say go to any other plasma center but this one..expecilly if that manger is working might as well expect to be there all day. place has gone way down hilll

I've gone in 3 time and the staff is rude still not excepting new donors try again tomorrow as if I can just come everyday. The vibe feels weird and staffs rude and acknowledged forever. Will find another place.

I feel like it was a waste of time for me. I was treated poorly like they didn't trust me!! I was in the front of the line to see the nurse but she made me wait for two people that were after me! And treated me like I was dishonest!!! I will never waste my time there again!!!

I know donating blood is not a fast process, but Monica, one of the screeners at the Salt Lake CSL location is super friendly. She is very fast and efficient and makes me laugh. She makes the screening process very pleasant. I wish there were more staff like her.

I had a great experience with my plasma donation thanks to the amazing employees in screening Indigo Arabella Brandi Fehi and Tasha and for the phlebotomist my favorites are Missy Maggie and Dylan they all are very professional and sweet and that's the reason I'm still coming back since 2022

Staff is friendly. It's really the wait times and the lack of cleanliness that I'm giving a two for. Stopped going here because it takes me 35 minutes to donate but 2+ hours to actually get to a bed. Started going to a different plasma company and I'm in and out in an hour or less. There are other places out there that are better organized and won't waste your time :)

Very poor customer service and they are not very nice they male you sit and wait for no reason and they act like they don't care at all they don't even try to help people at all

I gave it a 4 for the wait time which is expensive. On a good day I can be in and out in 1.5 hours and generally I take 30 to 40 minutes to donate. The remainder of the time is spent waiting in lines. I have gone here regularly for 10 years (2007). I have seen a lot of employees and managers come and go. The staff for the most part are professional and friendly. Vita as is Haley are exceptional at there job. Some assistant managers, Andrew, well he's able at phlebotomy, however his personal skil

Staff is unattentive and rude. Missed my vien and then ignored me while I cried and raised my had for help. Finally was able to get someone to take the needle out. I will never donate at csl again !

It's not worth your time. Every other donation center I've been to besides this one will have you in and out in 1/1.5 hours. This place will have you standing in line just to check in for 2 hours minimum. After that you have 1-1.5 hours to donate. It doesn't seem like they're understaffed it just seems like they're unorganized and would rather socialize with each other. And seeing that from a donors perspective makes it seem like they just don't care about you or your time. 100% WOULD NOT recommend this loc

Decent experiences so far donating at this location but I've been noticing that they take forever to un hook you from the machine after donating. Last time It took them 25 min just for them to finally disconnect me from the machine. It shows the workers don't value the customers time well, I hope they can prioritize that notion a little better.

Not to bad of a wait for getting there at 10am.

The pay is amazingly great! However, the wait is ridiculous! There be 10 to 20 people waiting in line patiently, while 2 - 3 staff memebers are on the floor, joking, laughing, and not paying attention to how long the line is getting. They'll get to you when they get to you. There isn't an organize way of this placed being ran, there isn't a strong leader to run this place. Donate here, if you have an extra 3 hours to kill.

It gets busy here but every once in a while you come in and there are only 2 people in front of you! And then they still take an hour and a half to get you into a chair. Then you get to watch people socialize with each other for another 30 minutes until they feel like hooking you up. So really no matter if there are 20 people in front of you or just 2 it takes 2 hours to get hooked up then how ever long it takes you to donate. Pretty ridiculous.

It's the longest wait I've ever had to endure to donate. However, that's too be expected with the awesome promo they're running. It would be nice if they made of for the long wait by being in chairs for people to sit down on. Or at BioLife they gave people buzzers and let them wait in their car. All you had to do was come inside once your buzzer started vibrating. There's gotta be a better way than keeping people standing for 3 hours!

There was a time this place was great. Now not so much. It's my opinion, but the staff and management are very under qualfied. I've called to speak with them on why each visit I'm sent to medical. Per phone conversations told .good to go and won't be sent. Each time I get there they send me. The wait is too long for my tight schedule. There is no reason each time I go it should take 2 hours! I will not be donating again at this center. No one needs a business to speak to their client condescending.

So been there 5 times...tried all different hours and have always had to wait at least 30 min or more to be checked in and it takes me 45 to donate..plan on at least 2hours for each visit. For me its not worth the standing in line for this amount of time ....its not Disneyland! Seems that they don't have enough staff to run this place efficiently.

I have seen some reviews on here that I definitely think are exaggerated! The only reason I didn't give 5 starts is because of the wait time, witch isn't entirely their fault because they have been short staff. But other that that! They are ALWAYS friendly to me, the answer any questions I may have. They check on me while I'm donating, the clinic is clean and sanitary! You can tell they take pride in a healthy environment for not only their staff! But the Donors as well! I'd recommend CSL Plasma to my frien

I personally know an employee that works here. She informed me that cal plasma makes $1500 off of one bottle of plasma we donate. I think this is so unfortunate that the lower and middle class people are being targeted to be used in such a way. I was so bewildered at this news. Everyone needs to be aware of this because we are getting ripped off !!! We make $35-100 a donation.

Don't even bother. I've tried to become a new donor three days in a row and they're always full. You can only make day-of reservations in person and they're always filled by early morning. There's no workaround this, can't do it online, on the phone, you can't even make a reservation for the next day if you're late to the punch. I even came in at 8 am today like the staff I talked to yesterday told me to do, and they were already full within one hour of being open. The staff even said that I should be okay

The staff inside are great especially lee he's really funny and makes you feel at ease. My issue I'm having is I got a letter saying they needed to test my blood and on the front of the letter it says for any questions please call and talk to medical staff but when I call whoever answered the phone ( I think she said her name was Mary maybe) said I have to come in and talk to them about it they can't do it over the phone but then when I call cla plasma customer service they tell me they're supposed to trans

The wait times are ridiculous. I showed up 10 min early to donate. I have to wait outside in a long line, then once I'm inside, i have to wait in 2 more long lines. Biomat let's you setup an appointment, and value your time. I'm in and out in about an 1.5 hours. To donate here, i have block out 3 hours to donate. Once I finish my first time donor, I'm never coming back again.

Love the people at CSL. The wait times are not the best but they unfortunately have a ridiculous amount of turnover and training new people to deal with blood and needles is extensive. Personally I'd prefer the longer wait times just to make sure the person putting a needle in me is going to do it correctly. I've rarely had problems with this center other than timing and I've been donating here since it was called ZLB Plasma.

Staff is all awesome!!! I see a lot of people complaining about the wait times in the reviews and in person. The staff seriously does their best to keep the lines moving. You can also go on the app and find out the best times when they aren't busy. Thanks for always being awesome and professional..

Nobody even in the donation center just to donate have to wait 6 hours for an appointment would not recommend to donate here it's ridiculous drove all the way from west valley just to be told no appointments until 3 I even called them they should allow u to call in and set up appointment I am going to tell others to go else where go to ABO in west valley much better tried to donate here again everytime I come in to try they say new doners slots are full called today lady that answered was rude and hung up o

I love what CSL is doing! Lives are being saved every day. They are doing a new donor promotion where you can make up to $1100 in a month! I used to go to Bio Life and have never seen prices even close to that! It makes me sad when donors are rude when waiting in line. One session recently has taken me about 3 hours to complete. I understand that that's a long time and it's exhausting to wait, but it's not the employees faults and truthfully people feel entitled to their money when they're making about $100

The staff is friendly enough, but the new donor process is very lengthy and repetitive. I also thought it was very unsanitary that I had to ask my technician to change her gloves before removing my needle. I watched her touch all of the equipment from the person next to me, wipe down the chair, move tubing filled with someone elses' blood before she came to me and tried to start helping me with contaminated gloves. Then after she changed her gloves (because I asked) she came back and picked up the device sh

Long wait times. It takes longer to check in than it does to get your plasma taken out. Their app tries to tell you the ?best times? to come in. Dont even bother. Their staff spends more time socializing than doing their job. Only come here if you have 3 hours to kill.

They're short staffed, but friendly and professional. I went right when they opened on a Monday and was able to complete the new donor paperwork/process. The phlebotomist, Marcia was super friendly and I barely felt the needle stick (I do also have nice thick, juicy veins, which helps too). I do wish they would move to an appointment system like Biomat uses so that it isn't necessary to show up right at opening to be in and out in a timely fashion.

Staff are bad, management even worse, they will defer you if you complain about bad sticks or slow returns. I always go here as a last resort. I now have a huge permanent scar from these monsters! I wish I could sue but I'm sure that piece of paper I signed before doing this protects them!

I have been donating here for many years. As of late they are improving their wait times after hiring many new employees. There are a few bad apples in the staff, but for the most part, I find the employees very enjoyable. very enjoyable.

2+ hour wait to donate, plus another hour for the donation process. Everyone is nice and friendly but there has got to be somewhere that doesn't take this long. No matter what time of day or day of the week I go it is always such a long wait.

By far the most dirty horribly ran donation center I have ever witnessed. Choose somewhere else !!!!! Slowest employees ever

DO NOT DONATE HERE! All the 5 star reviews you see are from people who get a bonus for leaving them! The $1,100 is a SCAM! I just left CSL from my 5TH ATTEMPT of donating for my 2ND TIME! The first time goes by quick they rush you through but then after that you have to wait like normal and this now makes the 5th time I've waited 2.5 HOURS just to get in the line to get back to donate and had to leave cause I couldn't wait any longer! If you plan on donating here plan an AT LEAST A 4 HOUR WAIT EACH TIME!

I absolutely enjoy the CSL staff all of them are polite and professional and make the donation a pleasant experience.. kudos to Maggie

They are way understaffed. I usually spend two to three hours standing in line no matter what day of the week ago. The staff has been extremely rude and I have had them speak bad of my religion in front of me. I've heard them criticize and talk poorly of the donors. Management seems to have no idea what is going on and does not care how people are being treated. The owners need to get their act together.

I have been thereseveral times but only been allowed to donate twice the first time the brusing was so bad i had to wait about 11 days before i could donate again And once again. Terrible brusing when i asked the medical. Staff why this was occurinh they said its just the way they stuck you Stating something about finding a good vien i onformed them that i had never once in my life have i ever had a needle in my arm and expressed my dislike of needles at which point they said if i disliked yhem so much i ha

Kind and hard working people. I've been seen it get busy there recently and i understand that you have 2 building and sometimes when they are short you have the other store help out. Alot of people complain im not, so what if people wait for 30 or 45 minutes. You guys are awesome.

Friendly staff and they explain the plasmapheresis process pretty well. They also explain the first time donor compensation however they explain after the first 5 donations it is based on body weight yet when you look at the app it goes by amount of donations per month and starts out at a low point of 38 dollars. This should be explained a little better instead of saying oh its based on your weight and hydration level. Really great place though and they clean after every person. And face masks are required

Nice staff. They were super helpful, it was my first time so I did have to wait quite a bit. I got there at 11 and wasn't out until just before 3. But once I was called up which was at 1:30 I was on the chair at 2. They gave me a fast pass sort of thing so next time I come I can go right to the front(: I weigh 133 and I got 30 so I'm happy! Bring your homework or a book!

I only go here because Its 1 mile from my work, And even then its hardly worth it. The turn over rate is insane. They dont press play on the movie and it loops over and over on the menu screen. If you talk about something and that worker disagrees you get ding with a warning. If you comment on a rule the same thing happens. I have been hit 5 times with taking with others so now iam a walking zombie, I only speak if asked a question. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

This was my first time donating and tbh this was most disrespectful & uncomfortable experience ever. The "medical professionals" and people at the front desk knew that this literally my first time donating ever and I explained I have eczema so i have scabs on my arms because I dont heal properly when I get little cuts from working or prettymuch doing anything that leaves a mark, and immediately I was denied and accused of using needles for drug usage. Some bald guy just looked at my arms and then got anothe

I have really enjoyed coming here. The wait times can be a little lengthy at times, but if you want to avoid them you can download the app and see when this location is least busy. The staff is all pretty friendly and open to answering questions you have. Overall I would definitely recommend donating at this location.

CSL has been my go to donation spot for over six years now, and I really like it there. The staff is helpful and friendly, the facilities are clean, and the atmosphere is safe and inviting. One downside is that this obviously isn't one of the premier plasma centers; the staff is underpaid and overworked, and many have moved on. This means fewer screeners, fewer beds, and longer lines. They're trying to get better though, and as of June 2016 I'm seeing an improvement from the past year. Hopefully they'll be

Easy-going staff. Requirements to donate are straightforward. Pay and incentives, at least to me, are worth my time. The CSL Plasma app allows you to take the health questionnaire online and avoid the kiosk. The point system through the app allows you to earn more money with your active participation donating, taking surveys, and using the app. CSL Plasma's Anti-D program allows qualified donors to earn more and skip the line with an Express Pass on every donation. Ask a tech to see if you can qualify.

The wait times can be long depending on when you go in. If you are under 150lbs you may want to try another place as you can only earn 35$ for 2 donations in a week. They have the best trained phlebotomists for drawing blood if you are afraid of needles. They really try the hardest to make it as comfortable as possible to donate. The staff is great!

Very sketchy place! I would not donate here if I could donate somewhere else. The center smells like Cigarettes so bad that when you leave you smell like one. The majority of the works swear quite a bit. During my physical the Medical supervisor was not ethical and did not ask me the questions or do the physical completely. The Donor Processors usually skip questions at the very end as well. Most of the employees have a terrible attitude during there shift, especially Dean. I would stay away from here if yo

Most of the staff is very welcoming and make me feel comfortable:) Ashleigh especially, 6 stars for her

This center is very good. The staff are friendly, they get the job done efficiently and timely. Wait times can be long due to high demand and low staff, but I keep coming because of the professional staff.

Clean environment Signing up does take some time but for good reason, your helping others and yourself, but they do make up for some of the time by giving you first in line or skipping all together. I'd say take the time to look up the slow and busy times and you can have a fairly quick and good visit.

Thanks CSL plasma. I love wasting my time and money to come donate when I told your phlebotomist you need to give me 20-30 minutes to let my pulse slow down since I had to rush around last minute to get things done and get a ride down here. I love having to pay for a $16 Lyft ride after getting absolutely nothing for my time. Should just say wait six months, and then get new donor rates again. Not as if you can't afford to pay your donors better. Because oh god, you totally couldn't just recheck my pulse ag

I would give CSL a 5 but my first time that I went there the wait to become a first time donor was absurd and they ended up messing with both of my arms and I wasn't even able to donate entirely the first time because it was a bad stick. That being said, every time after that has been great. Wait time was never very long if any wait at all and every other phlebotomist that has stuck me has been very professional. The staff has been nothing but kind to me, although you can tell some are distant?just doing th

The place is pretty dirty. The screening stations are dirty along with the donation beds. I don't see anyone cleaning them unless you ask them to. Edit: They do a much better job at cleaning the beds now. They also have adapted very well to the pandemic.

Waited in line for an hour just to be told they don't take new donors after noon. It would be nice if there was a notice literally anywhere online or in the app or even at the location saying so. Don't appreciate wasting time.

Somebody please train Lee properly! This was my first time donating at csl but I've been a donor for almost 20 years at other centers. I've never seen a tech plunge the needle all the way in until it bottoms out! It went way past the vein into deep muscle tissue then he pulls it out and plunged again and again until he finally got the vein. This guy aerated my arm. I have good shallow athletic veins most would consider an easy poke. Holy cow that was painful!!! The needle only needs to go in about 1/4"-3/8"

At one time they had 4 stars they now have one since managements heads are up their asses. This place is so slow, they lose staff faster then a call center and have closed down 2 sections due to so many donors leaving. Don't waste your valuable time here, it's not worth it.

I went in to donate plasma for the first time and was there for 3 1/2 hours before I was told that I could not donate because I am insulin-dependent with type one diabetes. My sister came in to help me fill out my paperwork as I also have a learning disability and they were very rude to her very dismissive. It wasn't until she very sternly said that if they weren't going to allow her to read me the information that was required that someone needed to help me that anyone was willing to help me. I went throug

Friendly staff! A great way to make some extra cash and help others :) they always try their best to get you in and out so you can continue with your day! They also have a new app that is very user friendly. :)

The promotion is the only reason I gave them another shot after my bad experience asking how long to disconnect was told not to bother the staff. They allow you to donate and they make a lot off your plasma but won't let you charge your phone even though you are there 3 + hours to donate...How pathetic

Most of the phlebotomists here are very skilled. The check-in process is fairly quick, as long as you come during non-rush times. I recommend Sunday being your second day. Some of the staff are sort of distant, but they put up with a lot of difficulties. They get a lot of rude donors. Druggies, scumbags, homeless, etc. Typical for a plasma donation center. Just remember you're making money and helping save lives. Though keep in mind, they make like 10x what they pay you for each bottle, but they're a busine

worst service and staff. I spent exactly 2 hours going through the "intake" process, fingerprints did not work, age was a question, kiosk did not work, and finally met with their med "tech" after 2 hours of being shuttled around to have him say because I take potassium (which was NOT on the list of prohibited meds) I was not eligible. Trying to donate, but the hassle they put you through is a waste of time!

[December3,2024] Very clean area when I showed up at about 11:50 p-m. Employees told me that there is a 1 week deferall for switching between companies for donating. They told me to come back on December 10. They said it was a company policy or business practice.

I gave this place 1 star because the wait is rediculious! I have waited 5 hours before I got to donate! I like the staff but because they have lost so many employees they have had to train a lot of new people meaning you now become a push-in test dummy! Also no bonus! That is a huge down fall for me because octapharma (where my boyfriend donates) is offering $60 extra this month alone!! That's two weeks worth of pay where when you go to CSL they will not offer you that! I am switching donation centers!

Unbelievable. I stood in line for 40 minutes to just get my VS taken. My lower back hurt from standing, so pulse slightly elevated. Waited another 40 min to have 'nurse' retake (at least I got to sit, so pulse/pain fine). Thought I was home free to donate, but NO. Got to a third waiting point, to get onto the floor to donate. I had already been there for 2 hours!! Because of this and knowing that it would take another hour to donate once I even was able to get to the floor I had to leave. Mind you, the mise

Horrible experience at this location , will not be going back . Staff sucks , they make u feel uncomfortable to be there, they think there better they u always being snarking and rolling eyes and can never hit my veins but put blame on donater . Very bad experience ??

Came in on a sunday morning. Everyone was very nice with the exception on one phlebotomist but you can tell that people dont like their job or very low paid. Other than that it was a very pleasant experience (first time ever donating) and the first 2 times is $60 not bad at all. But it was a long process total it took 4 hrs.

The staff has always been nice and proffesional when i have gone to donate. Wait time isnt always a joke.Depends on the time of day also i believe. In regards to druggies, homeless, and scumbags only.... Not so. I go to make a differance and i am none of the above

DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION! The manager named Shon. who has been working here for 3 years missed my vein and instead of pulling out the needle to figure out the direction of my vein. He was literally digging in my arm to find it. I had not only him but 2 other people try and figure out my vein.. I workout and my veins are clearly visible so idk why they were having such a hard time. When I was going to take a picture of my arm (because blood was literally rolling off of my arm onto their floor) the manage

Great center! Clean! You will always receive the amount according to your desire. You don't have monthly bonuses or coupons because the rate is flat and it's great to be able to plan and have that in your hands! Super clean! Friendly stuff!

Hands down the worst plasma center I've been to. Period. The employees (minus 1 or 2) have thee worst attitudes and hate there jobs and they let it show. On top of that I went in for my first donation on a slow day and I didn't get to a bed for over 3 hours! After I finished I waited 30 minutes to be unhooked while watching the employees b.s. about nothing. Def don't care about there donors. Absolutely won't be returning, who's cares about new donor pay when you have to deal with all this.

Always have so much fun here!!!! The phlebotomists are awesome, get the best treatment, precision administering of needles, and awesome promos. Love my CSL family!! DEFINITELY have my recommendation. Come here to donate plasma, guys. You won't be disappointed.

I've been going here for years and really enjoy this place and the ppl Today Paige stuck me for the first time and did a great job and Merissa is always so helpful and happy too.. and Mike is usually the one one that sticks me... Awesome ppl that work here... So is Ashley A. ??????

EXTREMELY slow here which is probably why they pay decent... My first donation I was literally here for 4 hours. I sat for the first hour just waiting to be called back for the first time. It felt like new donors are definitely not a priority here..

This place has a horrible weight and they discriminate against people of color on top of that I was told I can't ever donate there because they think I walk funny. CBL Plasma is a horrible place to go.

Its clean, it is fast depending on the time and days as any other place. I work graves, so I am there about 10 minutes after their doors open. And Sunday they don't open until 7am, so still one of the first in line and out.

It certainly seems very deserving of 4 stars. Sometimes the people. I've been going here every available day for years. It is a great supplemental source of income. Easy to do, painless procedure, I've been DVD fr

The staff is completely clueless, they have no clue as to how to do their job, it's as if theyve never been trained. They do NOT calibrate their machines like they are supposed to, in fact some are set for higher reading like the scales so instead of weighing 145 you weigh 152. Because they lie about this stuff I get deferred once or twice a month for low protein and each time the deferral is for a week. I tell them they're wrong each time and they refuse to retest it on a different machine..... Hmmm wonde

I'll never be back to this place. I started going there in 2012ish and then again in 2015 when I moved back here. Ive never had a problem with anything til this last time. The lady that did my physical, Marcy was her name. She looked at my clothes same things i where in there all the time and thought I was wearing thicker snow pants. I said I wasn't, she really didn't act like she believed me. Then I go to weight and she tells me to empty my pockets. Ive donated other places since 2012 when I started, a cs

I've been donating at the Salt Lake CSL for quite some time. The staff are always great and my experiences have been fine. I only wish that CSL would open a center around the Prescott Arizona area, as it's about the right size for 1 plasma center (and growing fast).

Been going here for 7 years and let's just say I constantly tolerate the lack of respect the staff gives off. The reason I will never be going back is because I was accused of having a track mark and all it was was a simple blood test from a doctor. Was clean, no bruise. Tiny butterfly needle. Instead of saying ?sorry but we need a doctors note to prove you had recent blood drawn? The ?doctor? at csl says ? that looks like a track mark don't come back without a doc note ? like I said earlier I've been dona

This place is a TRASH CAN ??! If you want to have your arm jacket up with a bruise that last 2 wks could not donate because YOUR staff is under qualified. I stood in line each time I went 3 to 4hrs standing, no seating.. Half their staff up and left I see why. Worst experience of my life

Staff is very rude and unprofessional. They get into gaggles and talk and whisper on the floor...while people are waiting for them to do their job, Dean and Nelly in particular. Not very good at pokes, Alla and Katie are WONDERFUL however. The facility is dirty, bathrooms etc. Now here's what gets me. At biomat, they wash the bed after each and every donor. They also change gloves EVERY time they leave a donors bed to do ANYTHING else. Ive never had a bed cleaned for me and ive been donating at CSL for mont

Find a better place!!! csl plasma has gone downhill since I started donating with them 4 and a half years ago. The pay is low and not worth it. It is extremely slow, low staff, and staff lies to you what they give you. You get charged When you use the csl card or try to take the money off that is ridicules. The pokers don't know what they are doing, I am fit and have good vains and they still can't poke me right or get the vain.

Similar to any plasma donation center, you do have to plan a couple of hours to donate. First time donors, plan for at least 3-3 1/2. It's on a walk-in basis, so maybe an appointment system would streamline things. They have a great payment and referral program, and they educate you throughout the process.

I've tried to become a doner here on multiple occasions over the past few months and it seems impossible. They never seem to have time to take new doners and recommend ?coming in earlier every time, regardless of how early I come in. Tried since it was closest to me but honest going to a donation center that's further away seems more worth it at this point.

I usually don't have any problems, but today I did. I got stuck 2 times, the first time my vein rolled, but she dug and dug and then another guy came over and dug and dug and then decided to stick the other arm, after all that, I only got $20!!! I'm in tears because that's b.s.

It nice and new looking. Very clean and well set up. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It was nice to have someone answer my questions that I had.

In need of some answers plz. Sorry this really isn't much of a "review" lol but **To sum it up- in order to donate here you need to bring in your ID, social secirity card and a piece of mail with your name on it verify where you live correct? Well I was told the address on my ID needs to be the address on the piece of mail I bring in. Is that correct? I recently moved so therefore my address has changed & isn't the same as my address on my ID.*** I'm giving this place a 1 star for now because I haven't act

I've been donating since 18, this is by far the best Center I've been a patient with. The floor team are all so welcoming and kind. Appreciate that they remember you by name and just all together comfortable. Thank you guys!

They are extremely unprofessional and slow. It takes 2-3 hours to get in and out. The worst part is WAITING IN LINE STANDING UP. They need a better system. Short staffed and the staff they do have is very slow.

Quick, kind, and helpful. Love donating here. Holiday seasons can be busy and longer waits but the new donor payouts are amazing. Highly recommend

This place is horrible. Going to donate plasma here is like walking into a concentration camp. They have a dress code for Christ sake. It's sad when you go try and donate plasma to help others and put a little money in your pocket just to be turned away because you have a rapper or something similar on your shirt. The staff are rude and inconsiderate. The payout is horrible for the time there. Go to Octapharma instead.

So the person they had do my arm went through my vein completely. Then he pulled it out a little and wiggled it around until he got it in. (Which hurt a ton.) Except after it was trying to return my blood it slipped out of my vein and was pumping blood into my skin instead of my vein. I raised my hand because it was hurting but nobody came for minutes. By the time someone did come I had a huge bulge of blood under my skin and was about to pass out. I went home and had a gigantic bruise on my arm. My whole f

Really great staff here. They move quickly and are very kind to everyone. All of staff here was very kind to me

Someone needs to send Monica back to the gutter she crawled out of. Can't wait til y'all go under. Nathan is a beta punk avoiding work rather than seeking it out.

Waited 2hrs in line for them to say come back tomorrow because they were at capacity. They close at 7 and it was 5:15. Don't recommend donating there ever

The wait is rediculous. The restrooms are disgusting, the staff is judgmental, they aren't friendly or happy to work with you. I would not recomend them at all, total waste if you time find another place to donate.

My mom went in today to try to donate and they denied her because of her teeth and THEY THINK SHE HAS AN INFECTION. WHEN ARE YOU GUYS DENTISTS NOW??? THAT'S DUMB YOU GUYS DENY PEOPLE OVER THERE TEETH THAT'S PATHETIC. NO WONDER YOUR REVIEWS ARE BAD .

Been donating for months now, this month they had a promotion, give 8 donations in a month you get a $90 bonus, well today was my bonus day, and of course they find some reason that i cannot donate, which means no bonus, I've never had issues before, seems like they purposely do this to people on their 8th donation. They did the same thing to my fiance last month on his donation day, smh.

Professional staff, Ashley, Heidi and Jasmine are very helpful and friendly at the counter, Hailey, Manhattan, Andy and Katja are excellent an finding the vein and making sure you dont even feel the poke. I will return again.

Super dirty facility, everything was sticky and infested with ants. Not so sure if everyone donating is clean and sober but I am guessing probably not. Good intentions but fall short on cleanliness. Friendly staff though.

Very fast but they spray chemicals and don't care who is around. I was sprayed and the guy didn't apologize or anything. He looked at me and gave me a dirty look and walk away. He was very desrespectful not only to me but others as well.

Amazing! Great staff that is patient and caring. They do their best every time I go in and are so clean! I feel appreciated and taken care of ever time.

A little cold, but it's not a bad place, if they could make it more efficient so it's not 2+ hours standing in lines for 45 minutes of actual donation time. But otherwise I like it.

Extremely clean and friendly staff. Quick to get in n out and rarely any long waits. Highly recommend The phlebotomist know what they are doing and are very skilled

Waiting forever in not just one line but two! Have they heard of chairs at least in line 2. Also it's really dirty. They we're trying to put me on a bed with blood on it, and there garbage is always all over the floor. They need to do alot to improve.

Maybe caught them on an off day but staff is rude and the place is filthy. It looks more like a waiting room for a muffler shop. Dirty floors chairs etc... I was going to donate but after seeing the level of cleanliness I would not trust such a facility

They did such a bad sticking me that after i finished and i was wrapped, i bled through the bandaging. When i came in to get aid, i was yelled at for almost bleeding on their floor. Then i called management to report the egregiously terrible conduct of her employee and she told me it was my fault for not moving to the sink fast enough. The person rewrapping me said nothing about the sink. I've never been so humiliated and mistreated in my life. When i got home i noticed that blood had stained my pants and i

Been here for almost 6 years maybe 5. Love the staff. Some are stuck up especially the managers. Give it 5 stars cause they way better then BioMat

Worst in Utah !! Do not go here

Quite efficient. It's a nice way to get money, unlike all the others, I would say this place is pretty quick I spend around an hour to an hour and twenty minutes. The staff is great!

Waist of time. The operation is one of the worste I've seen in all plasma centers. The extreme waits are caused by the disorganized operations. Takes literally 2x as long to accomplish any thing at CSL vs other plasma centers. The staff are decently friendly how ever absolutely appalled by the manner in which they operate. Unless you have 2+ hour to donate a single collection of plasma dont attend. Outrageous.

I'm sitting here waiting to do my first donation...it smells disgusting in here and is dirty...not impressed at all. Everyone who donates here looks like they are homeless. Not trying to judge but the atmosphere here is terrible. And I have no idea when I'm actually going to get to donate...they just told me to sit here and wait....no one is even at the counter to ask. Thinking of walking out. Not sure how they keep things sanitary in here...

Show up before 6:00 am and it took over an hour just to get going. Donor?s time is not a priority and it shows. You wait 45 minutes in prescreening and get passed by someone with an express pass. No discernible performance measures regarding donor time. I like the staff, but there clearly isn't a culture of concern for donor?s time.

You need to open at 6 a.m. like you use to a few years back. It did indeed make a HUGE difference with getting people in and timing. (I also have no doubt you don't read these, so won't make a difference).

2 plus hours to donate. Must be old machines, when they try to speed it up it malfunctions and then you get deferred staff is decent. Not a good recommendation.

Horrible place. They don't care for donors, they'll blow out your veins and offer no concolence, majority of the staff are slow and tend to good around. Nobody is trained properly and complaints are never addressed or even responded to. Go to biolife or biomat. Not this dumpster fire

WORST plasma donation center in Utah!!!! Horrible customer service, very slow and takes forever to donate, unlike at other centers where you are in and out! They treat you like cattle, customers and employees alike. Lighting a match would be the only way to fix all of this horrible companies issues!

Long wait times, not enough staff, no schedule, got here at 7 the line has moved maybe 5 people of 20 and now it's 740. If it wasn't for the promotion I would just go to BioLife personally.

Dont let Marissa stick you. Every time Marissa B sticks me it's always very painful, donation takes way long and when they pull the needle it hurts again. I've donated several times and this always happens whenever Marissa B sticks the needle in my arm. Asl for somebody else if you must but avoid her at all costs.

Signed up online, said they couldn't take me in. Asked to talk to the manager, same thing, he said I would have to come in next Saturday at 7 am to possibly have a chance, seems like nobody cares, very displeased

Sat for 50 minutes for the new donors line. Went through the 15 minute video/pamphlet, just for them to keep ignoring me. What a waste of time.

Long wait times, yes but your being given money to provide a service. Come early in the morning- and it's really fast. Even when they're busy, they remain professional!

My husband went in and they have him a hematomas in BOTH arms. The guy who stuck him couldn't even find his veins and did it twice in one arm, then in the other arm before letting him leave, with giant bruises on both arms. Not sure how they plan to collect plasma if they can't even draw blood.
