This was going to be temporary donation, and I've been donating for 6 months. Paula explained how plasma is needed for people in hospitals, emergency accidents. Rosie and Ethan are the best at testing. Joe and David are also the best phlebotomist. I'm greeted with friendly professional staff. The center is clean, and I would recommend donating at Grifols.

I was assigned a donor chair then a man with a lisp sat down and starting eating on the donation floor. He was told not to do that and thankfully didn't. Later into the donating process this man starts playing music and videos out loud from his phone so everyone could hear the entire time. He was also talking to himself out loud every few minutes or so. None of the staff stopped him from doing any of this, which I'm pretty sure breaks multiple rules. Whenever I walk in to check in to my appointment, there's always a smattering of applause and cheering from the staff. Where else would I even think about donating? Very annoyed that I have to go through the entire new donor process since I haven't donated in 6 months but am not given the new donor pay. My screener, Zarya was very good and Beverly quickly attended me on the bed and immediately disconnected me when done. Leslie gave me a perfect, painless stick, despite my scar tissue. I usually have a good experience here but when I don't there is usually one person responsible for it. Whoever the tech is that's short with long black hair, she never sticks me right. Place isn't that bad just old system method , place isn't pact which helps the flow but they are short staff , it's 1 person per section sometime one guy is running around trying to stick people and other staff just stands around , there is not urgency on helping or team work , Process donating is little longer than other places , seen sometime they dint stick people right last time I donated my blood got mixed inside the plasma they said I should be ok but I felt I lost alot of blood and got sick that day

I didn't want to come donate plasma with my service dog, but the manager said that it would be no problem. So we figured out every single rule and regulation they had for service dogs. The staff here are extremely rude!! Went in today and got told I could not donate because I don't live in San Antonio anymore. Even after I let them know that I got started at another location and was still accepted even though I don't live in the city. Called the other location and they said that wasn't true at all, I can still donate. I guess the staff were just too lazy and making up their own rules on why not to accept donors. I called here ahead to ask if it was busy, the lady told me emphatically that it was a great time to stop by. I called to clarify a reason for my disqualification at another location. After talking with two staffers for fifteen minutes over the phone, I was finally told that the disqualification would probably be valid at this location as well. I had to explain several times the issue when all either of them had to do was input my address to see if it was acceptable. I was told that I had to go in person and waste my time instead of being told over the phone. Incompetent.

After being told that as a returning donor after over 10 years, that I will not be paid the new donor rate of $100 per donation, but get $75 for my first 4 donations. Staff is almost always super friendly and helpful. They answer your questions without giving you attitude or making you feel dumb. The actual process is super fast (at least for me) once you're established. I've donated at other places in Albuquerque years upon years ago and I've never once felt unsafe in or outside the facility. I have been coming to this plasma center for 2 yrs now and I enjoy the people that work there, only a few new faces since I started doing this, which make me feel more comfortable when I return each visit. Also, they are very friendly. The establishment is very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone. I really appreciate the fact I can make appointments before coming, the only down fall is that you can only get one time slot per 15 mins per person now which sometimes isn't convenient for me at times.

The staff is awesome and very professional. You rarely, if ever, have any payment problems. Plus they have all types of programs beneficial to each donor. The environment is clean and the atmosphere is always pleasant. If you don't pass your first screening with vitals, they give you advice and a chance to retake.

Made my appointment at 12:30 and arrived 12:15 as the email instructs. Gotta say that when it turned 1:07pm and the fact that the appointment didn't matter, I left. First time donating and they were super friendly checked both my brother and me as soon as we walked in. My brother has tattoos and it wasn't a problem for him since they were over a year old. Also Dana was such a sweetheart they couldn't find my veins but she made me feel at ease and when she tried she found it! My veins have always been a struggle to find so I'm happy she was able to help.

Take an hour just to get checked for vitals, protein, and temp check. It takes 2 hours just to get a medical done. It took an 1 hour in waiting for plasma. After 5 hours finally being taken to donate. DO NOT COME HERE. BioLife takes you in much faster and has sections of plasma machines for everybody. This place has gone so down hill the donation fee are not worth the wait.

My first time scheduled an appointment online for 5:30 pm and was in and out in about an hour and a half AND that was including filling out my paperwork and the medical exam. The place is pretty clean and the staff was really nice too. For the $60 + $10 coupon you can print online for a total of $70.00 on first donation definately well worth the time!

These people are some of the most helpful and friendliest people I've ever had the honor of meeting. Even though I come here once a week I feel like they care about what's going on in my life. They're very gentle when they handle you. They also are knowledgeable and intelligent on the ins and outs in plasma. I recommend everyone to come here, no other Plasma facility beats BioTest.

Very unorganized. Spent 2 hours in here yesterday and finally had to leave because after 2 hours hadn't stuck me. So I come back the next day and then after waiting 45 min they could not find my file. The staff is friendly but it is very unorginized. 3 strikes you're out! First they wouldn't let me donate one time because the woman who stuck my finger entered something incorrectly in the system. I'm a returning donor but needed to redo my paperwork since it's been awhile. There was an issue with the number of piercings I have, which is fine and could get resolved. Very quick place been abt 4 times and everytime including my initial I was out within 2 hrs. Good staff never heard anyone being harassed like ppl are saying. The staff is friendly and knows their clients. I read but I see the conversation with everyone no matter what walk of life.

The process is usually quick and easy, and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is the compensation is getting lower and lower. This is around my 12th donation, and I just wish the payment was more substantial that $30.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! I sat for over 45 min with NO ONE coming up to check on new donors or even just someone standing at the desk. No one asked Me anything except for the greeter. She couldn't answer none of My questions and didn't say anything to the other staff about someone having questions she couldn't answer. 5 new donors sitting in the lobby doing nothing but wasting time. Super disappointed coming here?. For the simple fact that I told by employees on 2 occasions what my donation days were and was told I can come outside those donation days. So I did, and was deferred twice because I was told BY EMPLOYEES I could come on certain days when they were aware (because I told them) I had donated at another location prior. I arrived at the facility last Friday. Their systems were down and they only had one nurse. As a new donor it was a little discouraging but as the place was highly recommend, I stayed.... This place is great!! If u come on a busy day expect to wait a few hours but if u come when its not so busy like in the morning or on a Sunday its relatively quick the longest i ever waited was an hour to 2hours before i actually donated the fastest 1hr and half with donating included. This place is very slow. Make sure you have atleast 3 hours of free time. Ive donated here 5 times and none of my visits have been under 3 hours. Another thing you can never find the staff. They are constantly moving around and never at any of the check in stations. I would suggest this place if you have absolutely nothing planned for that day because you will spend it here!

This place absolutely sucks I get here and the lobby is not full maybe 10 people. I walk up to the front desk to get registered for my 1st time giving and literally I'm standing there for 10 mins. Been coming here for a few months now and the staff here are awesome! They answer all of your questions and have plenty of programs for everyone to join. The place is super clean and that means a lot when having a needle stuck in your arm. I recommend this place to anyone considering donating plasma.

Never a good experience here. Always have to call numerous times, and not a guarantee anyone will pick up, but when you arrive there are several employees around the front desk near the phone, including a supervisor. Wasted trip just to ask a question!

The phlebotomists there are good. They're really nice people with great personalities. Only time I had a problem was with the blonde chick making my arm go numb. She wasn't worried and fixed it real quick . Other than that I wouldn't complain. I still come here all the time. Everything's clean. This is the absolute best plasma center i have ever been to. I have donated plasma for over tens years and have never found better. I've worked as a phlebotomist for years. I drive up for my appointment and before I can even be seen they check the veins in my arms and tell me to hydrate and come back. I felt my own veins and they were just fine. If the lady couldn't feel those veins I wouldn't trust any worker in that facility with a needle. Waste of gas money. Totally unfriendly. Unbelievable.

I have tried 4-5 times to donate plasma, and I've been rejected each of those times for a different reason. Once was because the vein wasn't big enough. Usually great customer service but new girl with braces needs to work on her needle removing technique as it was unsually painful and her job at wrapping the wound was rushed with it coming undone almost immediately. The only time this has happened before was because the staff member was running low on wrap from her cart and she politely asked if I wanted a fuller wrap around and I declined. The only pro is ms rose at the booths! Everything else was a big negative. The machines are very slow and they used the same vein everytime and melody is rude. They have tons of requirements and it doesn't feel welcoming at all, the TVs are off half the time and alot of the employees would stand around talking.

10 years ago I began donating at the old location on Broadway, which was always overcrowded & took entirely too long. Most of the complaints that I see in these comments reflect the ignorance of the donor & not an issue with the center. The staff have always been courteous & professional in both centers. However, the new buliding is structured to make things go smoother & the average donation takes a little less than two hours.

I love this place! I have been donating at this center for over 3 years and they have been GREAT!! They recommended that I participate in the Anti -D program and I qualified! I now know that my plasma helps babies! Give it a try!!

Was deferred over a year ago because I got an ear piercing. I was told to come back in a year to donate. I came back over a year later and called ahead of time to see if I could donate before wasting my gas and time. After being told I can, and after waiting for 2 hours in the lobby I was told I couldn't donate here. Wouldn't recommend this annoying center to anyone.

This was my second attempt at going there last time I sat there for an hour and a half before anybody helped me this time I sat there for an hour nobody acknowledged that they were behind or anything so I walk out. I walked in to possibly become a new donor and I was refused because apparently back in 2009 in Laredo TX I had blood work done in a plasma center and I couldn't produce those results to this center now 2023 . How does this make sense? Who holds on to bloodwork papers for more than 11 years ?

My first day here and I was in the donating chair in 30 minutes. Everyone that works here is nice and happy! And it's the cleanest place I've been and I've donated at ALL OF THEM!

It's nice and clean here. The only thing that sucks is that, like CSL Plasma, when your heart beat is high, they don't let you have a couple of minutes to slow it down they just immediately defer you. And what's more ridiculous is that you're completely paranoid of what to eat, especially since they deferred my husband for a little bit of butter in his pot pie. Had an appointment didn't get called back until after appointment time, then when donation process was over waited to get taken off machine for 5 minutes. Every time I have gone has take 3 hours to donate.

I was gonna be a return donor. Nice and fast place to go donate no complain on that so far. but everytime I call they never answer that phone doesn't matter what time of the day it is.

I was turned away for bad or small veins, BUT Sara was really nice & took less than 10 minutes. Customers or clients in there were nice as well.
