This was going to be temporary donation, and I've been donating for 6 months. Paula explained how plasma is needed for people in hospitals, emergency accidents. Rosie and Ethan are the best at testing. Joe and David are also the best phlebotomist. I'm greeted with friendly professional staff. The center is clean, and I would recommend donating at Grifols.
I was assigned a donor chair then a man with a lisp sat down and starting eating on the donation floor. He was told not to do that and thankfully didn't. Later into the donating process this man starts playing music and videos out loud from his phone so everyone could hear the entire time. He was also talking to himself out loud every few minutes or so. None of the staff stopped him from doing any of this, which I'm pretty sure breaks multiple rules. When I was done donating, I had to sit there for almost 2
Never really had an bad experience here but was told there by appointment only I don't know why the sudden switch but that's disappointing to hear when it's gonna take twice as long now for those who don't know and there was no sign on the door or anything. There were like 5 people that walked out because of that. So this is part 2 of my previous review. So they switch to appointments only, which seems to be a pain that most people that come here don't like. When I arrived, my appointment was at 10:15am, a
I've been donating plasma at this location for a year now and all I got was lousy stress ball and thee best patient treatment I could ever ask for. Whenever I walk in to check in to my appointment, there's always a smattering of applause and cheering from the staff. Where else would I even think about donating? And Ms Rose & Ms Paula are always informative about monthly bonuses and specials. Plus they're the best in the business. I said so. ?? P.S. I dig the stress ball. Michael Smith
I haven't had any bad experiences at Grifols in the almost 4 years I've been here. The staff are cool people and I've had small conversations with them time and again.
I love coming here, I've been coming here for years. There is never a long wait, the staff is always so helpful, comforting and knowledgeable.
Very friendly and professional staff. I have been coming here for over 4 years! Experience gets better year after year
I Have Been Donating With This Location Since August 2024, I Have Not Had A Bad Experience At All. Their Communication Skills Is The Best, The Employees I Have Been Poked By I Have Not Had A Bad Experience This Location's Staff Is Great! ??
Great place and they actually care about their people . 5/5 stars completely. Definitely recommend this place to donors around.
Great place. Very comfortable The people are nice and professional Mrs Paula is awesome
I would normally give this place 5 stars, but I think there are some issues that might need to be addressed as far as customer service. I will definitely update it to 5 stars later! This evening in the vital & protein ck I asked if this visit I was getting the bonus & was told I should keep up with that. I advised that the app has never worked for me & would not allow me to log in, but she said she keeps telling these kids to get calendars instead of depending on their phones! I'm not a child & was offended
They are so nice and my good convo if it's your first time I recommend coming here
Very annoyed that I have to go through the entire new donor process since I haven't donated in 6 months but am not given the new donor pay. My screener, Zarya was very good and Beverly quickly attended me on the bed and immediately disconnected me when done. Leslie gave me a perfect, painless stick, despite my scar tissue. The friendliness and professionalism of all 3 is my reason for the 5 stars.
I usually have a good experience here but when I don't there is usually one person responsible for it. Whoever the tech is that's short with long black hair, she never sticks me right. It hurts and she walks away knowing she didn't do a good job but never bothers to correct herself. ?I got some vein? she said as she walked away not checking to see that she in fact got no vein and caused a clot. This is about my 6th time having an issue with her. Whoever was in charge of section D today did not listen to me
This is the best plasma center I've been to there's no comparison that's why I always recommend this place to my friends and family.
i feel like every time i come back i like this place less and less ?? starting with the appointment thing (and not just this place) but it seems like every plasma place including grifols employs people who don't know what they're doing. so only a small handful know how to prick my small veins and do it right consistently? but the ones that bruise and hurt me also do that consistently? so today im all Ice?d up and my arm is killing me now. I don't know much about veins and I'm not a medical professional or a
Great workers super nice and usually good with timing! Come donate and get extra cash
Great staff! Timely and efficient service. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Great, friendly staff. Always willing to help! Definitely recommend
Place isn't that bad just old system method , place isn't pact which helps the flow but they are short staff , it's 1 person per section sometime one guy is running around trying to stick people and other staff just stands around , there is not urgency on helping or team work , Process donating is little longer than other places , seen sometime they dint stick people right last time I donated my blood got mixed inside the plasma they said I should be ok but I felt I lost alot of blood and got sick that day
Great center! The staff are all really sweet and welcoming :)
I didn't want to come donate plasma with my service dog, but the manager said that it would be no problem. So we figured out every single rule and regulation they had for service dogs. So I made my appointment, show up at 9:45 am for my 10am appointment and the guard stops me and says ?You can't donate with a dog?! What in the world apparently still nobody knows the process. So here I sit in the lobby, no room is set up ( that is why I was supposed to make the appointment), nobody has come to talk to me sin
The employees are all very kind and professional and make my plasma experience fun every time
My experience with plasmapheresis at Grifols - Biomat USA San Antonio. Please read below: The first thing to remember is that you are at their mercy - You are basically a pin cushion. If the donation procedure goes well then great, if not too bad. The needle insertion will hurt, as the needle used in plasmapheresis is larger than the needle used to take a blood test. Most of the employees are very diligent and amiable, who work hard. Now and in the past, there have been times when my arms were visuall
It is a great place to go especially the staff and Ms Paula is excellent
Place is nice and clean and the people who work there are amazing!
I usually don't write reviews but I just wanted to drop a quick line and say how amazing Paula is! She is always ready to go out of her way to brighten up the donors day.I just wanted to communicate that with you and let you know she's always been amazing!Peace ...
Highlight of my week, the staff here has always been welcoming and informative.
Good and easy way to make money but save your time and your veins by going elsewhere they constantly mess up and will get you deferred.
I am a return donar and I have been treated with respect from the staff I love it ! I will definitely recommend grifols
Awesome place friendly staff, rosalinda is helpful and efficient
This is by far my favorite place I've donated at I love everyone here it's just an amazing place!!!!!!
Great experience friendly staff I love it
Times are tough for everyone right now, and I have come into this center 3 times already. Each time I visit the staff is so nice. Rosa is literally the nicest woman and so compassionate. I'm grateful for their efficiency and professionalism. Thank you ??
Great staff and atmosphere however I learned they just implemented appointments. Remove the appointments and get 5 stars. Don't make it difficult for donors like other places. As I left and scheduled an appointment for Saturday I learned this is appointment only moving forward. What a great way to tell donors their time is not appreciated. This was just implemented this past Monday 1-22-24. If you're going to continue with appointments then you need to be fully staffed so that each "client" can check in,
? Updated Review: My previous review holds true. However, there are now fewer machines available to donate. Thus, there has been a bottleneck my last two donations. There have been more donors than available machines. Each of my last two donations have taken more than an hour more time than my average donation time when more machines were available. Positive, friendly, and professional staff! Great way to earn some extra money while helping others. ??
Everytime I come here I have a great experience their always doing their best to get you in an out. Also Paula Garcia she is very awesome!! She is very respectful an has very great Customer service..She's by far the best!!
Love going here because Paula makes this place outstanding! She always has a warm friendly attitude and makes the donation experience a lot more comfortable and inviting. I wish we had more people like Paula!
?Security guard? and manger were extremely rude. I have always sat in the open seating in the front of the building while my finance donates. Today the ?security officer?, if you can call him that, told me that I can't sit there. His remarks were extremely rude after i explained to him that there's never been a problem with me waiting here before. I ended up talking to the manager who was also rude, she told me she'd let me sit there ?just for today because it's hot outside?. Cant believe the hostility over
I've been coming here twice a week for the last 4 months and I've never had a bad experience. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and professional. The place is always kept clean and even when it's busy they get you in and out pretty quickly. Definitely the stand out worker is Monica, she is always the most pleasant person to be around and she always does a great job! Alex is another one that is always great, he also does a great job and is cool to talk to. I have a few friends that come here and they all a
The staff here are extremely rude!! Went in today and got told I could not donate because I don't live in San Antonio anymore. Even after I let them know that I got started at another location and was still accepted even though I don't live in the city. Called the other location and they said that wasn't true at all, I can still donate. I guess the staff were just too lazy and making up their own rules on why not to accept donors. Either way, never going to this place again! Judging by all the other reviews
Got banned permanently just for a question I accidently clicked wrong on the kios. Wasn't told about it until after a year later. These people don't give af about you and only see you as expendable.
Almost all the staff is so awesome but the one who stands out the most is paula garcia she's very sweet and welcoming she is very knowledgeable about her job . When I'm having a bad day I can just go in and she brightens my day
Best plasma center I've been too
I love everybody at this plasma. They're so nice and everything is clean. The treat you nice and everybody is so sweet. I recommend this plasma place to anybody.
Since my last review a year ago. This place has really improved. Everyone here is very nice and professional. They really take the time out help you and treat you like you really belong here. Ms. Rosa is my favorite she always keeps my smiling and makes me feel welcomed. I also like Ms. Luz, Ms. Monica, Ms.Keisha well really the whole entire staff. They always go above and beyond to give excellent customer service and professionalism. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone
I called here ahead to ask if it was busy, the lady told me emphatically that it was a great time to stop by. She was right, it wasn't busy at all but it still took over 30 minutes for me to even reach the screening booths. Why? Because none of the workers took responsibility of me. Although they knew I'd never been there, I was told improperly where to wait. I was in line first but the nurse helped 2 people before me and took forever. Then the lady at the screening booth was rude and that was my sign to w
This place is great for the most part. The staff is friendly, the building is clean and seems very sterile. I have no real complaints except that it seems even if you have an appointment, you're going to be waiting a while. I've always come with an appointment and it still takes a while to get seen. Make sure you have ample time to be here. Edit:whats the point of making an appointment if you're never seen on time? Edit 2: if I show up to my appointment 15 minutes early (like I always do) it shouldn't tak
Completely trash!! Staff is so incompetent!! They are all just walking around starring at each other. I've been to plenty other centers in the city, and this is by far the worst!! You'll be here all day too!! Waiting room is full and only 1donating area is open. They're not even calling names just standing around!! Rude staff, no one can answer questions just attitudes and "I don't knows" CSL would never!! I'm only here because they sent a good coupon$$!!
Such wonderful people! The staff is sweet, there was even a guy giving away Halloween treats?? Very attentive and they make sure to explain everything. Will be going back!!
I called to clarify a reason for my disqualification at another location. After talking with two staffers for fifteen minutes over the phone, I was finally told that the disqualification would probably be valid at this location as well. I had to explain several times the issue when all either of them had to do was input my address to see if it was acceptable. I was told that I had to go in person and waste my time instead of being told over the phone. Incompetent.
Ive been coming to this location for a few months now and can say I've only had good experiences! The building is always clean, and staff is always professional, very friendly and accommodating! They definitely make the experience very comfortable and easy.
This place is so nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and respectful. The reason I didn't give 5 stars and leaving a review is because the chairs are gone and it makes my visit feel welcoming. Please bring them back.
Slowest people ever. Screening is fast but then you are called to the donation area to wait forever before someone comes and sticks you. Got on the bed at 1:13pm and I am writing this at 1:35pm and there is still someone before me that has not been taken care of yet. Also one of them never asks if you are allergic to latex, I had to stop her from putting latex on my arm twice. If you come here, make sure you are done for the day or have plenty of time. They probably assume that you doing nothing the whole
Great people, extremely clean
It's a great place, really nice people working there. If you're donating plasma, I recommend to make an appointment, will be faster. Usually end of the day is the busiest time, mornings usually isn't crowded. You can make extra money and help people with your donation. Person in charge of managing the site is the best. Sometimes even if you have an appointment, you're left behind, make sure to tell you have an appointment. Actually no appointments available. You need to be there expecting a long wait
Great place and extremely clean. The only issue is the high heart rate issue and being deferred for the next day. Rose, Chrystal, Galalea are awesome and Becky as most of the staff are very nice. Had one bad stick but was treated with kindness and checked thoroughly my next visit for any issues. First time was lengthy but will provide juice and a snack if you ask. Otherwise I'm very happy with the experience and have been going there since July 2017.
Vicky Vicky Vicky!!! That's why I come here. I always had anxiety about donating until I met Vicky. She is very knowledgeable and never second guesses herself. She is always in a good mood and very reassuring. I have never had a problem when she sticks me like I had in the past. I'm glad that she works there so I can help save lives with my donations. I hope this location appreciates what a dedicated employee she is.
If you like to help by donating plasma this is a great place to go. The intake process was fast and friendly.? I was welcomed by a friendly security guard who pointed me in the right direction. Paul, extremely courteous, informed me of what to expect.? I then was lucky enough to meet Ethan, who definitely deserves a raise. He pulls from a deep well of skills and knowledge. If you are an individual that is prone to anxiety, this gentleman will immediately put you at ease and have laugh & smiling from ear to
Originally went early in the morning was getting a little frustrated at the wait time because it was taking a bit long. Had an appointment so left and called to make sure I could come back and finish the process when I finally returned about 3pm I didn't take longer than about an hour to be in and out. When finally asking they said they were understaffed so the wait in the morning was understandable. And they were super busy. So if donating please be mindful of the staff trying their best and please be pati
Didn't let me bring in my electric scooter in cuz they didn't want anyone to take it and make it there fault I told them I had the keys for it and that they saw me walk in with it therefore they know who's it is and then I said bring it to the back with them or take it to the office and they didn't like it I guess they was just haters The facts u can't donate without tank top but didn't pay attention to that lol all good got my money ????
Background: Donated plasma for almost 5 years now. Started with octapharma locations for about a year and tried CSL for while, ended up sticking with this location for the last year and a half. I donate twice a week, usually 8 times a month, i miss some here and there but thats about average. The reason I stick with Grifols/Biomat. Is because of a few important reasons. Cleanliness - Seems like a low bar to entry but cleanliness is actually rare in these establishments so that was the first thing that st
Donor beware! They refuse to post their payment information for a reason. After being told that as a returning donor after over 10 years, that I will not be paid the new donor rate of $100 per donation, but get $75 for my first 4 donations. I finished my 3rd session today and also had a $5 coupon and was anticipating my $85. They only deposited $45 after I left the facility. I double checked what my rate of pay was with 2 staffers before I agreed to my donation. The fact that the staff decided to give inacc
Staff is almost always super friendly and helpful. They answer your questions without giving you attitude or making you feel dumb. The actual process is super fast (at least for me) once you're established. I've donated at other places in Albuquerque years upon years ago and I've never once felt unsafe in or outside the facility. Highly recommend if you want to help save lives and make $$ at the same time!
Staff is friendly, but be prepared to kill some time there. I waited over an hour just to finally donate. By that time i had to leave for an appointment and literally wasted my time there. NEVER GOING BACK! Other companies will have you in an out In one hour. I recommend going somewhere else.
I have been coming to this plasma center for 2 yrs now and I enjoy the people that work there, only a few new faces since I started doing this, which make me feel more comfortable when I return each visit. Also, they are very friendly. The establishment is very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone. I really appreciate the fact I can make appointments before coming, the only down fall is that you can only get one time slot per 15 mins per person now which sometimes isn't convenient for me at times.
The staff are what make this experience pleasant. I am a regular donor and every time I come, I am greeted with a smiling face, friendly attitudes, and the customer service exceeds my expectations, every time!!! Donating may seem like it's time consuming and boring, but the staff take your mind off of that. Plus you're helping save a life.
The location is convenient and clean. The staff is friendly. Lab tests are delayed, I was unable to donate on my second visit since my test results were not back and it was past two weeks. Results did not arrive until the following week therefore I had to wait to donate until they were received.
I was there in the morning today and I was told by Paula I was going to get a 25.00 bonus on top of the cost for donating I didn't not receive it.
waited 2 hours to see the "nurse" for a physical, then demands proof I haven't been in jail more than 72 hours in the last year because of a scram device I wear on my ankle from a case before covid. ridiculous
I've been having a great experience donating here. Staff are friendly and professional. Sometimes it can be busy but if you find the right times to come it doesn't take too long. I always feel comfortable coming in
Love the appointment system. In and out
Pays nice, plenty of immunizations that?ll give you more pay. Liked the new way they were doing things, not that complicated, just follow the arrows on the floor after you sign in, was so much faster. Ugly chairs are back for you lot that NEED to sit though. Don't bend your rules for those who don't wanna move fast. Don't be sheep! BE THE SHEPHERD! Only complaint is that most TVs don't work or are off so it's a lil boring when your phone dies and you're in-front of a black screen. But hey all around great v
Smooth process and very efficient. Every staff member I came across was amazing! They're all very helpful and super kind.
Updated 06/2022: They need to hire people that actually want to work! This wait is absolutely ridiculous!! This place has really changed. The staff stands around talking and laughing instead of checking people in. Floor supervisors stand around talking about donors and other staff!!! Very unprofessional!!! I checked in for my 2 pm appointment at 1:50 and I'm still sitting here at 2:15 waiting to get checked in!! Get it together people!!!!!!!
The nurse with blonde hair was very rude to me and constantly kept saying, " I should know better to bring my medications." When I was never told to bring my birth control to the appointment. I have donated in the past at other locations never was a problem. I will never go again and the wait time was an hour long.
They have a promotion going on for July. Which is a great time to join! Let them know who encouraged you to go, give members extra cash!???? Patience and kindness goes a long way. Sometimes I have to wait for a bit however, the staff gets you in & out as safely and quickly as possible! When you think about why you are there, remember that you are saving lives!? Yes, not only do you get compensated for your time.?? You are also providing others a chance to improve their lives.? Bring your cell phone and earp
Disgusting place. They will ban you permanently for the smallest things. Do not donate over here, they don't care about you. You are nothing but a donor number to them. Go to biolife or CSL they treat their donors better.
Things have dramatically changed recently. I've been donating for almost two years now and it was much more friendly previously. Expect to stand up the entire process of having Q/A, waiting for vitals and then the time period it takes to get in a bed. Previously they were accommodating to donators by providing chairs for the sitting area (which is no longer being used, unless you have a physical) but now we are not allowed to! I've been forced to stand up for 15-25 minutes at a time when prior I would be ab
I went in today as a new donor I was treated with a lot of discrimination. They said that because I have a full body of tattoos that. It was too many for the nurse to document. I asked if there was a policy stating this and the manager said no she was making a judgement call and said I can see the door. I was not being rude or obnoxious or at any point disrespectful. I just asked to see where I could find where I would be disbarred from donating because I have a full body of tattoos. She again very rudely a
pay went down and they're taking more out of u to accommodate the new machine smh not worth it fir 50-60
Love when Paula does my intake she makes it welcoming and makes me feel at home here
The staff is awesome and very professional. You rarely, if ever, have any payment problems. Plus they have all types of programs beneficial to each donor. The environment is clean and the atmosphere is always pleasant. If you don't pass your first screening with vitals, they give you advice and a chance to retake.
This place is great! Very clean and well taken care of, but they can be a bit busy and take a bit to donate. Other than that they are awesome. Everyone seems to enjoy what they do and are very professional and helpful. Shoutout to some amazing employees that I have encountered over the past few weeks...Rose, Brandy, Cameron, Dana, Christine, and Galilea and there are others whose names I can't recall right now but they are all really good. If you're wavering whether to come here and donate or not just do it
Made my appointment at 12:30 and arrived 12:15 as the email instructs. Gotta say that when it turned 1:07pm and the fact that the appointment didn't matter, I left. These people are nice sure, clean from the look of the place, but they can't keep to a timed schedule to save there lives. The website should say that appointment times don't matter at all.
1st msg didn't post, but I'm used to waiting to get started and I've learned to except that, but waiting over 15 minutes to get disconnected isn't cool!
I always hated coming to this place, but I came back after a couple of years of not being here because i was told I would receive $125 for the first four donations. I was shocked when I only received $40 on my third donation and the staff never communicated that to me. I only found out after checking my deposits. I feel so disgusting to have done this for $40.
This place is horrible. All they do is lie and make up things as they go. I went once months ago and they lied about my referral bonus then they text me to come in again I say sure why not I could use an extra 285. I should have known they were going to make it difficult. Day 1 lie was oh I know the coupon says just screenshot and bring it in but mysteriously I'm told no u need to have the text message as well. Then I'm told come back Friday. I come back and the same girl creates a different lie and says oh
I had been going to CSL for years. I stopped donating altogether for a bit and decided to check this place out . It's great . The staff is so friendly , the facility is Clean and it looks really nice inside . I got sick a few times after I donated and when I had questions about why and literally asked the same question over and over the staff was so patient and nice . The last two times I went I didn't even feel the needle go in which is great lol. This place is really good . I'm happy I switched
Paula is always amazing, I always come in and she has the best attitude by far! She makes me feel comfortable and always assumes me of everything as she's doing it. She is kind hearted and definitely an asset to the center! I LOVE YOU PAULAAAAAA
First time donating and they were super friendly checked both my brother and me as soon as we walked in. My brother has tattoos and it wasn't a problem for him since they were over a year old. Also Dana was such a sweetheart they couldn't find my veins but she made me feel at ease and when she tried she found it! My veins have always been a struggle to find so I'm happy she was able to help.
Take an hour just to get checked for vitals, protein, and temp check. It takes 2 hours just to get a medical done. It took an 1 hour in waiting for plasma. After 5 hours finally being taken to donate. DO NOT COME HERE. BioLife takes you in much faster and has sections of plasma machines for everybody. This place has gone so down hill the donation fee are not worth the wait.
My first time scheduled an appointment online for 5:30 pm and was in and out in about an hour and a half AND that was including filling out my paperwork and the medical exam. The place is pretty clean and the staff was really nice too. For the $60 + $10 coupon you can print online for a total of $70.00 on first donation definately well worth the time!
These people are some of the most helpful and friendliest people I've ever had the honor of meeting. Even though I come here once a week I feel like they care about what's going on in my life. They're very gentle when they handle you. They also are knowledgeable and intelligent on the ins and outs in plasma. I recommend everyone to come here, no other Plasma facility beats BioTest.
I really love the staff here. They are very friendly and caring. They always make sure things go well especially for the people that are new to donating. The place is also very nice and clean. Mary, rose , are really nice
Friendly professional people that make the experience as easy and painless as possible. The facilities are modern, clean and well maintained. Good way to make a little money while providing a life saving product
The nurse Nicole was very professional with great sense of humor always in a good mood when I see her. Also a great staff on the floor especially Malena & Haley.
All the staff is friendly and always make me feel comfortable. The staff is very knowledgeable it is always a good experience when I come here. It is easy to schedule an appointment to get in and out as fast as possible.
Great staff, clean facilities and services was professional. Only one suggestion, I have an incident at the plasma center, I'm a high blood pressure patient and unfortunately I have to go to the restroom every time and today as soon I finished to donate I verily make it to the closest restroom. I believe the staff Aldo was great assisting me, but a close restroom would be a assets in case of emergency, thanks. I highly recommend this place.
Very unorganized. Spent 2 hours in here yesterday and finally had to leave because after 2 hours hadn't stuck me. So I come back the next day and then after waiting 45 min they could not find my file. The staff is friendly but it is very unorginized. My wife dropped me off yesterday, went to another center and was finished and back here to pick me up before seven made it to the back. Prepare to spend at least 2 hours in here if not 3.
Mr Paul. is an employee that works here. He is the most well mannered person that I've met in the area. Always respectful and carries himself professionally.
?Under new policy? they can not tell people the new donor fees over the phone which is off rip a read flag because obviously that means it low with the goal to get you to come in person and see what the fee is and then tellin you some sorry number with the hopes of you just dealing with it cause you already wasted your time going up there. Every other place has no problem telling you the number. I'm pretty sure I talked to them before the policy changed and think the number was lik 60-70 for first time dono
The folks at this center are always willing to assist and make your experience a good one. They've been diligent about adding staff to help reduce the wait times when they are busy.
3 strikes you're out! First they wouldn't let me donate one time because the woman who stuck my finger entered something incorrectly in the system. Literally she just typed the wrong thing and I don't get compensated for my time at all. Second is just general rudeness of the front desk staff and screeners. I've felt completely unwelcome there more than once. Third and the final last straw is I took my friend there to donate and they wouldn't let him because his suffix wasn't on his W2. I was just told that
I'm a returning donor but needed to redo my paperwork since it's been awhile. There was an issue with the number of piercings I have, which is fine and could get resolved. Well I was suppose to get a call about idk A MONTH AGO about the issue. Fun fact I have not received any form of communication. It's a waste of time and they will turn you down for the slightest inconvenience.
I've been coming for years, never experienced any issues. I really appreciate the friendliness, positive attitudes, and the professionalism of all the staff. If anyone is ever interested in donating plasma, I would definitely recommend they come and visit Grifols.
Everything is good here. Nice staff and extra money comes in handy.
I can say i had a very good experience due to the fact that the employees are attentive to the donor and they care about your well being , but most importantly they make you feel welcomed.
Very quick place been abt 4 times and everytime including my initial I was out within 2 hrs. Good staff never heard anyone being harassed like ppl are saying. The staff is friendly and knows their clients. I read but I see the conversation with everyone no matter what walk of life.
The process is usually quick and easy, and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is the compensation is getting lower and lower. This is around my 12th donation, and I just wish the payment was more substantial that $30.
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! I sat for over 45 min with NO ONE coming up to check on new donors or even just someone standing at the desk. No one asked Me anything except for the greeter. She couldn't answer none of My questions and didn't say anything to the other staff about someone having questions she couldn't answer. 5 new donors sitting in the lobby doing nothing but wasting time. Again, TERRIBLE SERVICE
Super disappointed coming here?. For the simple fact that I told by employees on 2 occasions what my donation days were and was told I can come outside those donation days. So I did, and was deferred twice because I was told BY EMPLOYEES I could come on certain days when they were aware (because I told them) I had donated at another location prior. Never had this happen at a plasma donation center and I've been to 3. Oh and not to mention, I was told there was nothing they could do about it when I was given
Super awesome staff!!
Really enjoy coming here and it's super clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Gabe is really nice! Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to help others and earn some money.
I always have a wonderful time during my visits. Great staff. Management really tries moving things along. Really enjoy it
People, you need to stay away from this place until they start caring about their donors. They act like they're doing you a favor by making you wait hours before they even greet you. Then, when they finally greet you, they have this attitude as if you're troubling them. I Used to donate here before, but stopped because I just don't have half a day to spend waiting to donate. I've donated at other places and this is by far the worst. I can't believe anyone would give this place more than one star unless they
I arrived at the facility last Friday. Their systems were down and they only had one nurse. As a new donor it was a little discouraging but as the place was highly recommend, I stayed.... From 10:45am-2:30pm and had to leave to get kids from school. Never got thru the process or saw the nurse. The director of the place gave me a VIP card for the inconvenience which was cool. Fast forward to today. I have the VIP pass got thru the initial screener quickly after almost an hour of waiting to see the nurse I as
First they never answer the phone. There was no one at the reception desk for 45 mon. Next when waiting for a physical was the worst it's been almost 1.5 hr and I still havent been seen. When I asked the MANAGER she brushed me off and didnt care and wouldnt even tell me how much longer. For real that's ur manager good god that's disgusting customer service.
Inconsistent information from MANAGEMENT. As a woman at the counter was telling me that i cant call to ask about the donation fees over the phone because they cant give that info over phone. fine understandable. but dont tell me this while another employee is on the phone behind you asking you for the fees because a donor is on the phone and wants to know, and HAND HER THE CHART TO READ OFF WHAT U JUST TOLD ME U CANT SAY OVER PHONE. reply to owner response: please read full review before replying as it ma
This place is great!! If u come on a busy day expect to wait a few hours but if u come when its not so busy like in the morning or on a Sunday its relatively quick the longest i ever waited was an hour to 2hours before i actually donated the fastest 1hr and half with donating included. Staff is very helpful and the facility is very clean if i can give 10stars i would.. I would refer anyone to this place thank you Biotest for being there when i need you the most ?
This place is very slow. Make sure you have atleast 3 hours of free time. Ive donated here 5 times and none of my visits have been under 3 hours. Another thing you can never find the staff. They are constantly moving around and never at any of the check in stations. I would suggest this place if you have absolutely nothing planned for that day because you will spend it here!
This place absolutely sucks I get here and the lobby is not full maybe 10 people. I walk up to the front desk to get registered for my 1st time giving and literally I'm standing there for 10 mins. The receptionist sees me but doesn't bother to check on my issue. So I unplug my headphones and I'm blasting my music so she can come over. I went through 2 songs before she came to ask me to turn it down. When she asked me to I said fine can I have a registration sheet for my first time and she says they don't o
Been coming here for a few months now and the staff here are awesome! They answer all of your questions and have plenty of programs for everyone to join. The place is super clean and that means a lot when having a needle stuck in your arm. I recommend this place to anyone considering donating plasma.
Never a good experience here. Always have to call numerous times, and not a guarantee anyone will pick up, but when you arrive there are several employees around the front desk near the phone, including a supervisor. Wasted trip just to ask a question!
The best place to donate. They treat u good and are professional. The first time I came it was fast and easy. The place is super clean and not nasty like some other places I just walk right back out of. I would refer them to anyone.
I've been coming here for about 3 years, this plasma center has always been competent, efficient and taken care of me from check in to donation. Under rush hours the staff has always worked well under pressure, Im comfortable continuing my donations at this location
The phlebotomists there are good. They're really nice people with great personalities. Only time I had a problem was with the blonde chick making my arm go numb. She wasn't worried and fixed it real quick . Other than that I wouldn't complain. I still come here all the time. Everything's clean. Watch out for the ghost in the bathroom making the lights flicker.
This is the absolute best plasma center i have ever been to. I have donated plasma for over tens years and have never found better. The nurses are kind and very gentle, they explain the process in detail, give any material needed to hell understand the hole process. The facility is very clean and well taken of. I would give this facility more stars but there aren't any. I would subscribe this facility to any and every one.
first off let me say I have been donating plasma all over San Antonio for over 6 years. I've been to a lot of plasma places but this one really got to me on how awful it is here. Today was my first day going here and I was not impressed with the employees and with the wait time. They employees seem not too interested and wanting to get their job done properly and in a mannerly time. Seems the employees we're on a little bit of edge ready to snap or just not too happy. They made me wait so long by the time I
I've worked as a phlebotomist for years. I drive up for my appointment and before I can even be seen they check the veins in my arms and tell me to hydrate and come back. I felt my own veins and they were just fine. If the lady couldn't feel those veins I wouldn't trust any worker in that facility with a needle. Waste of gas money. Totally unfriendly. Unbelievable.
I like this place. The staff is cool, the WiFi is free, and the chairs are comfortable. I started coming in January for the New Donor's bonus, and now it's become a part of my routine.
I quit going there bcuz of some rude female that works there to prick arms. Her daughter that works there is nicer!
Great people and great facility but there is a particular woman here who is so Rude that I must leave this comment and not give the 5 star rating.
I've been donating for years and no joke this is the leader in plasma donations , the workers on the floor are the absolute best and the managers and nurses I mean it's a well oiled machine and they are uncompared they stand alone in plasma in first place in plasma donations , I found a home here for donations , they should be holding there heads up high !!
They suck I did a Drug test 7-8years ago and failed cause I had thc in my system just this year in 2023 i tried to go back but they said I couldn't cause I'm banned for failing a drug test even if it was 7-8years ago they still have me permanently banned I honestly fill like they stereotype people and judge people to much
I have tried 4-5 times to donate plasma, and I've been rejected each of those times for a different reason. Once was because the vein wasn't big enough. I can understand that, but the other reasons were all ridiculous. One time was because I wasn't dressed appropriately. I had followed the dress code exactly as outlined, but apparently skirts (it was a long skirt too) are forbidden, which is not written anywhere. I pointed out to them that it's not written anywhere, but no one thinks to change the sign when
Great place to relax for an hour, help others with their medical needs, and make a few dollars at the same time! The staff is terrific, and tolerates my jokes.
I can say this place is clean. Professionalizum needs improvement. So I have recanted my last part of this review as it was fixed. I do want to say why would you have someone waiting 25 minutes to speak to someone about shots before they donate! Not only this but that blonde examiner was rude and would not listen to my question which is why she got a no!! I am now officially done with this place. And the bio hazard thing is unbelievable dude give ur donateders bandages. You say it's a hazard but yet me blee
Usually great customer service but new girl with braces needs to work on her needle removing technique as it was unsually painful and her job at wrapping the wound was rushed with it coming undone almost immediately. The only time this has happened before was because the staff member was running low on wrap from her cart and she politely asked if I wanted a fuller wrap around and I declined. But this time there wasn't any reason to not make sure the wrapping isn't securely tightened and not in a place where
I was wanting to donate plasma to help people who need it. My time is very valuable and this place does it's best to waste time as a new donor it took roughly 2 hrs to just get told I was unable to donate and this was my second time trying to donate. This place is a joke and if your time is valuable and you do not want it wasted stay far away from this place. The staff is so unprofessional and you can tell not very educated past the little certification needed to do this job and this is coming from someone
Sooo fast!!! Very clean and nice staff.. I'm a transfer and everything went smoothly. All done in an hour.
Awful customer service. I've donated many times in college and this place was the worst within only 5 minutes. Called ahead of time to ask about donor qualifications. Lady told me some info then told me I had to come in to ask in person for the rest. Drove all the way down there and was told i would have to sign in and go through the entire health exam (approx and hour) before they could disclose the donor qualifications. She was rude and looked at me like I was stupid to ask about qualifications. Keep in m
I love this place, the staff is so friendly and they take care of you, the bonuses are great and it's a very clean environment. I definitely recommend others to donate here.
Zero stars if I could.terrible experience as a new donor. The main problem was that I was never paid for my donation.I made a donation a 10 days ago was suppose to get my money right there and then. But the card issued to me didn't work.It was acknowledged that there was an error about a week ago and was told that it would take 1-2 days to correct. Unfortunately for me the problem remained. Also the time it takes from start to finish can be several hours here.At this point I already lost hope that I'm am going
The only pro is ms rose at the booths! Everything else was a big negative. The machines are very slow and they used the same vein everytime and melody is rude. They have tons of requirements and it doesn't feel welcoming at all, the TVs are off half the time and alot of the employees would stand around talking.
Great place to donate & make fast easy money! The workers there treat you great every time & the environment is super clean & comfortable. Definitely would not go anywhere else!
Fast and friendly, and personal staff, they get to know you as well. Also a comfortable environment. They also don't mind having fun with it. Free wifi, as well and bonuses if you bring a buddy
10 years ago I began donating at the old location on Broadway, which was always overcrowded & took entirely too long. Most of the complaints that I see in these comments reflect the ignorance of the donor & not an issue with the center. The staff have always been courteous & professional in both centers. However, the new buliding is structured to make things go smoother & the average donation takes a little less than two hours.
I love this place! I have been donating at this center for over 3 years and they have been GREAT!! They recommended that I participate in the Anti -D program and I qualified! I now know that my plasma helps babies! Give it a try!!
Its clean .. Good workers i just let them do their job its funny when they can't pronounce my name but its just mistakes im always listen to music minding my business i did wait for a good couple hours thats why i figured a day i didnt had plans... I had one employee told me i the one chillest donors that come well it kinda was like people sometimes throw tantrums like its like wow act right in public maybe she felt overwhelmed.. This plasma center worth it. Give out prizes, bonuses, and good environment .
Management is unprofessional, answering the phone as if it's her personal cell phone not even mentioning that the company was Biotest, I called the wrong company but my husband was trying to get his file transferred to a different donation center and all she said was "We don't do transfers." I don't care how rude my husband is to you. If your professional in any way you don't argue with your customers and you definitely don't call them back demanding for an apology. So glad we use Biolife. Had she answered
I have been a donor for several years. I have been ro several centers and this is by far my favorite. The ladies amd gents are kind, respectful and very professional. Not to mention the center is very clean!!! I recommend all my friends and fam to go there. Tell em ms Briggs sent you!!!
The staff is always friendly, the facility is very clean and they do their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible.
Machines are too slow and take easily over an hour and the staff will refuse to take you off unless it's over 90 minutes.when I asked to be taken off from the duration making me unwell they refused take ur time somewhere else.alsothe process is a little more easier navigated at other competitors
Love the workers here. Very nice, and hard working, and Mary is awesome at the finger sticking. Lol but I give this place a 5 star. Would be 6 but definitely a 5 star
This is one of the most dumbest places I've ever been to. I just moved here from Houston and have never went through so much just to do a blood draw. First day I came had to sit in the lobby for 45 mins before a person from the staff even noticed that I was there. Remind you that I just moved here from Houston so I dont have anything for a P.O.A just yet. The lady told me what to do and also told me when I would need to have it. Was call to do the screening by a lady named Ana. ANA WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFE
I really don't know what all the negativity is about? I just started donating there at the new location. The location is in a brand new building and clean. Looks like all the equipment is new as well. The staff friendly and punctual. The new donor process went rather quick. I really like this place.
Slow slow slow. You schedule an appointment yet an hour later you're still not hooked up to anything. Do not go. They are so stupid with their organization.
I haven't donated in years and I decided to come back! And they have the nerve to say I can't donate because my voice sounds sick! I don't even feel sick! Not even running a fever. This is my voice! Like really. Very disappointed. They couldn't even take my temp!
Very clean and staff is amazing! Along with getting some extra cash for gas and groceries?I love knowing I'm donating to save lives.
Was deferred over a year ago because I got an ear piercing. I was told to come back in a year to donate. I came back over a year later and called ahead of time to see if I could donate before wasting my gas and time. After being told I can, and after waiting for 2 hours in the lobby I was told I couldn't donate here. Wouldn't recommend this annoying center to anyone.
May as well not even have a phone they don't answer it.
I been coming here for 2 yrs and they have great service and excellent phlebotomist downside to it is you will be there for 3 hrs as a regular donor and the dc time is way to long nobody should have to wait to get dis connected
I have been donating at Biotest since 2002 and never experienced any problems with the staff until today. So, my name gets called to donate and i was asked which arm i would like to use. I said "my right arm". I was then directed to a chair that with a left arm holder. i didn't think it was a big deal but at the same time, why ask? So i proceeded to walk my chair and told him the arm holder was on the left side and he said "Ok, we'll switch it to the other side". Meanwhile, Alexis was standing next to the
First time going to the new location. Had great service with all the staff. The the wait wasn't too bad for a new donor. The lab techs were super helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back.
I'm only giving it one star and don't even want to give it that? I've come in as a new donor 2 times and left the first time because of the length of time it takes them to process new donors. Compared to octapharma bio life and other plasma centers biomat is just a slow moving facility so if you want to just sit there for hours then enjoy I'd rather take my business somewhere else who can handle 20 people in an hour. Just ridiculous
Love coming here. The staff is very friendly and will take care of you when needed. Also love the tunes, fantastic playlist
Been 2 years since my last donation with them and they said my last blood work done my protein levels were low. So I went on Sept 16th to get blood drawn and call back in a week after testing results come back. One week later, now they tell me they have to draw blood one more time (no explanation why) so that would mean again after blood drawn to wait another week to see if i qualify for donating plasma. I only went back cause my sister donates there and it would be great to donate together. But its jus
Some if the girls that work their are very rude and some try to hit on every man they see. One girl was starting to make my boyfriend feel a uncomfortable because of the comments she would make and she already knew we were together but the girls who are their to work are really not that bad...
This place is NOT clear and precise. I had blood work done for a iud birth control and they wanted me to wait am hour plus just to get the paperwork, if I left I had to return the following day. The woman was inconsiderate. The 2nd payment was guaranteed the first 4 donations were 60$ and mine was suspiciously 40$. DONT go here, the staff is sloppy and careless!
Ever since I switched from csl plasma to biotech, I have always had a great experience . I never have to wait long, the staff are nice. I love coming to donate there. Keep up the good work Biotech. Oh and it's always clean sometimes they have coffee and snack and raffles . Coolest plasma place ever!
Sure wish I could give this one a quarter of a star. This was my second attempt at going there last time I sat there for an hour and a half before anybody helped me this time I sat there for an hour nobody acknowledged that they were behind or anything so I walk out. Don't go there it's not worth it! Personally they should have you sign up online if you are a new person for an appointment instead they tell you to come as a walk in.
If anyone wants to donate blood for money or even for just feeling good about yourself Biotest is absolutely horrible to go to. I went in for a first time donor to wait 2 hours then be denied because I have a tattoo. They gave me a form to have filled out by my tattoo parlor to state that they did my tattoo in a clean environment for me to donate. So, I go to the tattoo parlor and have it filled out and they don't have a scanner or a fax machine to send over the paperwork, which you would think wouldn't be
If I could give zero Stars I would. This place is extremely slow they do not care whether or not you've been sitting there for 45 minutes to an hour. If you come to this place be prepared to be here for a few hours that's just to donate. And if you're a new donor be prepared to be here for about 6 hours. And the staff talks s*** about other centers!
Staff is the best I have ever been around and the facility is always clean,. The manager that was here (Joe a.) Is missed his replacement isn't the best,.
New donor process took forever and then took over 30 mins to get paid. The Doc "Country" was awesome! Lupe socked my pay issue and encouraged me to apply. I think I might just do that!
I have been a Biotest donator since they were on Broadway. I really think they are great. Seeing the same people everytime, lets you know they are good. Employee's stay, so this place is great.
I walked in to possibly become a new donor and I was refused because apparently back in 2009 in Laredo TX I had blood work done in a plasma center and I couldn't produce those results to this center now 2023 . How does this make sense? Who holds on to bloodwork papers for more than 11 years ?
Such an amazing facility!!! The staff is so friendly and helpful, especially Mary up front she always has a wonderful attitude. I love how clean it is there.
This is the most cleanest, friendly, and organized center I've been to. Everyone knows what they're doing and makes you feel welcomed while doing it 10/10
This place is an awesome waste of time :) they seem to act like they dont want donations. I think because they compensate that they try to make it difficult for people to donate. I called prior to my visit to get basic information on their expectations and I was given a little but of an attitude. I decided to still go because I actually like to give! The money that they give you is easy and I chose to spend it on a family member in need because they just lost a child. When I gave them my pay stub with my ad
Horrible experience. A friend of mine and myself both got bruised up by workers who didn't know what they were doing.!! Also my fiance tried to express concerns about some medical problems/questions and one of the doctors was rude and expressed no concern. They pay everyone the same only plus. I'm a student medical assistant and I wouldn't recommend this place.??
I came in today and it was no where near busy, I am a new donor and I waited almost 30 mins in front of the desk while the workers passed me by not even acknowledging I was there. I waited another 10 mins to see if anyone would help and nothing. I dont recommend this place at all.
What a huge waste of time. They have go through all these steps that take over a hour then tell me I can't donate. Towards the beginning of the new diner check in they have you do a questionnaire. They ask if you are taking any medication and show a list of mediaction that you can not take when donating. The medication I take was not listed there. I then after waiting an hour am told that because I have take medications for a mood swing disorder that I can't donate and if I want to have to get off my medica
The staff is remarkably unprofessional. The security guard was weird at first then he just began to stalk me. Then started harassing me and my boyfriend just because I come in with him. The black woman in charge she wears glasses and has a fat nose best way to describe her. She harasses people about how they dress and has to be in your business. Like I'm in a plasma center not a correction facility. They are so slow my process of donating takes as long as 2.5 to 3 hours. This place is hell and the techs tal
They have friendly staff. The building is always clean. This us a good place to come to. V.Ruiz
Angry blonde nurse!!!! Agreed, she was completely rude from start to finish. Maybe when she sees all these comments about her anger, she might take some communication classes or stay more positive
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I got here 1&1/2 hour before they close, he looked at the clock then went to the back. Had me wait 10 minutes at the front desk, comes back then looks at my arm and tells me my veins are to small when I've been at CSL plasma 5 times and they NEVER once told me that. I don't even have to make a fist for my veins to be shown. THERE LAZY AND RUDE, JUST WANT TO MILK THE CLOCK and NOT WORK!
We both donate here and they took chairs away for anyone waiting in the back. We're switching to a better place immediately, you should too.
They have a friendly, responsive staff and my wait time is always minimal. They have great perks and clean accommodations. Just not a lot of parking.
Extremely professional staff. Big thanks to Rose & Crystal who were kind and informative. Genuinely caring for the donor. This location is clean & has plugs to charge your phone! I'm sold!
Customer service sucks I was there 30 min before being greeted to give my info and after reading out loud to the nurse that asked me to read it out loud turns to another nurse and has a conversation and doesn't hear me and makes me reason it again like I'm a dog speak boy ok do it again speak boy. Then after they tell me no cause my tattoos but doesn't show me proof. Is it me or is that racisism by turning me away because the color of my skin, be it Yello blue ,green, red wut ever! Waste of gas and time and
Wish I could give it half a star... Mind you this is my 5th donation and each time it has been like this regardless of whether theyre busy or not. I got there as a walkin on a pretty dead day and sat around for an hour before they called me up to weigh me. Then I had to wait another 30 minutes to have my vitals checked because they let people who got here after me ahead of me. It has been almost 2hrs since I got here and i still havent been called to the donor floor to donate bc YET AGAIN they keep calling
My first day here and I was in the donating chair in 30 minutes. Everyone that works here is nice and happy! And it's the cleanest place I've been and I've donated at ALL OF THEM!
It's nice and clean here. The only thing that sucks is that, like CSL Plasma, when your heart beat is high, they don't let you have a couple of minutes to slow it down they just immediately defer you. And what's more ridiculous is that you're completely paranoid of what to eat, especially since they deferred my husband for a little bit of butter in his pot pie. Wasted so much gas for continuously coming here and being deferred.
When I first went to donate it took forever, I arrived there at about 11ish and didn't leave that day til about 6ish. This was a friday, so I expected the long wait. After that it takes about 4 hours once your a regular donor. The workers there are nice and friendly, the ones I spoke to at least, and one that was really cool and upbeat was Tre. He's a pretty cool guy and jokes around with you but also knows when to take his work seriously. It took me awhile to donate the first time, guess it was because I b
Always amazing donating here
Had an appointment didn't get called back until after appointment time, then when donation process was over waited to get taken off machine for 5 minutes. Every time I have gone has take 3 hours to donate.
I was gonna be a return donor. Nice and fast place to go donate no complain on that so far. but everytime I call they never answer that phone doesn't matter what time of the day it is.
I was turned away for bad or small veins, BUT Sara was really nice & took less than 10 minutes. Customers or clients in there were nice as well.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
