I love that this can be extra money in most pockets. I love the extra money. But they need better, different, professional employees. But it's a few employee one who is very sweet and caring that works in the screening. She needs to be notice. I wish I knew her name to give a correct shout out. I chose not to come back four months ago because they just up and decided to change the rates based on weight class. First off you're automatically being disrespectful because when I was just coming to donate just because I was getting a decent payout. Now you barely earn any type of bonuses and if you're not above 230 pounds you can't get the base we all were getting at one point. If anything increase folks who are in that range. I usually come here without any problems but this past time will make me NEVER donate plasma again!! Never saw this lady who poked me before, she had a damn bonnet on her head, that should?ve been the first red flag!! The second that needle went in my arm, I knew something wasn't right, I then told her so she called herself coming over and moving the needle around in my arm. worst experience i have ever had. they yell at you if you dont do what they say. racist slurs. unprofessional. incredibly rude. now i see why they only have 2 stars. they need to replace the staff with people who love their job. take care of people. why would you make another person feel like they are in danger when you are supposed to save lives.

I am being targeted and getting retaliation from the other CSl location. Today I come in and the manager is ?too busy? to remove a deferral even though I came in way before they closed. This is not acceptable and I will escalate this issue until it can't be escalated no more. I hate to say it but establishments that involve black people or in black neighborhoods are horrible and after this month.. I'll never look back and treat people accordingly. Today is Saturday November 30 2024 it is 7:33 and it is currently 40 degrees outside there are about 20 people standing out in the cold while all the employees including security are just standing around talking making us wait for the manager cause he is late ? I've donated at many plasma centers and this is by far the worst. Employees care more about carrying on their conversations than helping people. The lines can be extremely short and it will still take 2-3 hours. The employees are very unprofessional and rude towards each other and toward guests. They like to hook up all the empty machines and call people in line up before unhooking people who are finished with their donations so it takes anywhere from 10-30 minutes to be unhooked. I don't like the fact that they don't care I can't do the questionnaire through the app like I once was. They act act like they cared but they really didn't for the first time ever they wanted to rush me out. Doesn't even make sense my social doesn't even come through the data base when I called the contact number in the app

Closed for Hurricane Milton (which is long gone, btw) but hours of operation were not updated online and there's no recording giving this important information when you call the number to the center.

Some of the Staff at this location are incredibly rude and lazy. I went in only to ask a question about donations and the restrictions at different centers and the receptionist was giving me attitude and acting as if I was inconveniencing her by asking a question. I was literally told that she didn't want to do anything besides read a screen due to her being busy. If you value your time and want to at least get professionalism from the staff at a donation center then please go anywhere else besides the fowl

TERRIBLE place!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! I sat there for an HOUR , completely invisible to all the break taking workers only to finally seen by a completely incompetent ?nurse? , who is not a real nurse ( my son is one, I know one when I see one) . I've never had a problem with this location ! Staff are great process is smooth the ok boy issue is pay is not high enough after the first 5 donations but it's sterilized clean and I do recommend this location due to having the sign up for Milton , the whole 15 street was flooded a lot of ppl were out with no electricity. Extremely long lines with no chairs to sit in while you wait. Why would you not provide chairs for people about to be donating plasma? I am young and in good health and even I feel off/dizzy after standing in one position for so long. I would wait double the time if there were chairs. I've been to other places that are so much faster AND they provide chairs. It's honestly just plain rude not to. I have left several times due to the long lines.

The donor system at this CSL location is by far the slowest process I have ever dealt with. You are on an average 2-3 hour wait just to donate. This causes the lines to be super long and super frustrating because you will be standing super close to people in line and I don't do too well with people too close and claustrophobic & tight spaces. Please, something needs to be done to improve the well known situation that still persists at this location.

The staff is always good to me and never any issues here, but they get a one star because they recently lowered the rewards $ amount for donors.

Went In today to donate 8/2/24. Got hooked up to the machine and finished my donation process. I was waiting quite sometime, and it's my day off. I have other things to do! So I asked one of the phlebotomist, if they could possibly assist me. I was met with attitude and racial slurs. Be prepared to take 3 hours to donate, with most of that time spent waiting in line (no chairs by the way). I'd recommend trying another location, as this one seems completely incapable of appropriate staffing for the demand that they have. Very slow! A few of the trainers are rude and the staff is definitely going to need more qualified people if they want to run an efficient center. The intake employees and the the people who take your plasma do a great job; however the place is managed poorly. There is almost always only 1 person doing the screening. This causes extremely long lines and means you will be standing next every level of society for these long periods. This causes the experience of donating to range from annoying to infuriating. This location is absolutely amazing, from the incredible managers like Caitlin down to the other amazing stuff like Tiffany from screening, Candice Kb Chris unique and von behind the scenes doing donations. The staff is incredibly pleasant and personable. The lines are never very long, and it moves quickly! Thank you CSL staff for all you do!!

The good things about this CSL branch on Fowler Ave is that all of the employees except Unique (Hence : Thank god she hasn't been around lately since i've been ther e) have shown their true professionalism to be superb and the security guard Leonard as well. This place opens late, there is only one person sticking people half the time and just about everybody their has an attitude, especially the women. No one greets you or ask how are you. They don't answer the phone, when I get there lady tells me with a smile that it's too late and I need to come back tomorrow, tells me they're short staffed. My first time coming to this center in particular, I usually go to the center in Temple Terrace. I do NOT recommend this center for these reasons. I see a guard dressed unprofessionally, hat sideways. If something were to happen god forbid my life is in his hands. The beginning process is expected, long waits until you reach the bed off your feet after 1+ hour(s). But it is the staff that doesn't make it feel welcomed to some non regulars. The staff in this csl plasma they are layers. I got kicked out/ permanently deferred because I complaint to a higher level about the staff 2 days they said I smell like marijuana and I couldn't donate so I made a complaint and the next day I was deferred supposed to be for having a attitude. My attitude that day was the complaint about the staff members being layers. So for future reference if you have a complaint about anything about csl keep it to yourself if not you will get deferred like me.

This center has let go of some great hard working employees that actually helped make this place great and left the rude, nonchalant employees that don't care about you. Been going there for approx. , 2 Months , no problem. Last Saturday, I had a little bit of blood come out of the donation site on my arm, no big deal, the tech reinserted the needle and plasma as usual. This morning , I do the questionaire, got the scan label, everything checks out, except I had alittle bit of bruising on my arm where I donated the time before. Told the nurse that I'd just use the other arm while the bruised arm heals and she tells me I can't donate due the fact. I get up at 5AM in the morn

This CSL is clean but because it serves a lot of homeless and indigent people they treat you like a number and it's the quickest way to get deferred. Go to the Brandon location they treat you right and it's a smaller location but the staff is wonderful.

They are crazy slow, under staffed and they prefer to talk instead of getting the donors in and out, so my advice is if u go have a empty schedule for the day and bring breakfast lunch a snack the building is good the security is good but the crew sucks

I was there today to make my first donation and it's was hell been outside for more than there ours with the heat and the line moved every 45 minutes it was crazy this place have to be supervised by their superiors and they have to contract more experienced personnel In a Veteran who will love to give life others but this place it's not on the same state of mind

Tbh new machines are great but the staff is miserable to deal with, also there is a big white security gaurd who i had to tell not to stand behind the nurse while she does my vitals that's a hippa law violation.... overall csl is a great place to donate but not this location....I suggest temple terrace location
