I am a returning donor and I'm almost at my 41st donation. During my last donation on Saturday, June 14th, I had a situation with Nurse Sandi H. for being disrespectful and rude to me. Ms. Sandi H. was behaving inappropriately and was very hostile toward her coworkers. She also acted aggressively toward me. When I tried to complain to the manager, Ms. Sandi H. laughed and mocked me in such a disrespectful manner that the manager had to tell her to shut her up. I understand that it is NOT OK to sponsor an em
I walked in as a first time donor, was told to sign in (just write my name on a paper) and told to sot in the waiting room for someone to get me. Sat for 30 minutes with employees walking by and looking at me and just continued walking. One asked if i was waiting to be seen as a first time patient so I said yes and then proceeded to get walked past a few more times. Decided to walk out when the same lady that told me to ?check in? walked by me KNOWING I still needed seen. Can't tell you much about the proce
The line never moves, they only have 4 ppl working at a time. They have multiple beds open yet leave you standing in line. This is by far the worst business I've ever seen in my life.
The staff are nice. The donation takes to long most of the time not making it worth much. Return donors don't get paid much for the time and pain. The pay differs on the amount of plasma. Shows you they are not paying you for your time just the amount of plasma and it's pennies on the dollar. Overall i would not advise going and they should be sued again.
TLDR: great experience, kind staff The staff were all really nice. I felt like they sincerely cared about my comfort. All of the requirements to donate were standard, everything was clean, and they kept things moving efficiently. They helped me immediately when I had a brief dizzy spell and I was able to continue and finish the donation process. They were careful with the needle, both putting it in and taking it out. The payment for the donation was already on my card when I got to the parking lot.
This is a very well run center with hard working individuals. The staff is very professional and friendly, and constantly running around to keep up with the usually high volume of people streaming in. Yes, they do get busy and you may have to wait, but this is usually due to a rush of people coming into the facility or individuals who require extra attention for one reason or the other. I have not seen any evidence of poor staff performance or any issues with the process. There is a difficult balance in k
Disorganized. Every employee thinks they are a Doctor. They ignore directions from their onsight Dr and make their own diagnosis ignoring Drs orders and instructions
Do NOT come here if you value your time because this place is understaffed and doesn't care about your time. Every time I have come here lately, they have only 1 person taking vitals and 2 people doing hook ups. Each hook up technician can only have 6 donors at a time and there are 12 hooked up by the 2 technicians and 23 in line to be hooked up. That doesn't include the 17 in the line to get vitals. And wear comfy shoes to stand in these lines for over 2 hours. They do not care about YOU!
The staff is always so friendly and helpful letting me know about the bonuses and the raffles. They do the very best they can to get you through as fast as possible and I respect that and feel.fro them when they have to deal with some really rude people.
The facility is mostly clean. (The ladies room frequently needs a clean up when I've gone in.) My big reason for eliminating a star is that there is very little sense of urgency with the employees. There have been long lines waiting for the health screening, and the employees are standing around chatting, or on one recent visit, arranging all the items on the desk just so.
Updated Review 6/18/25- it was very crowded today and numerous arguments amongest staff. It takes awhile to get unhooked so i just keep my hand raised.
Sandi H is an absolute wizard at this place. Didn't feel the needle go in at all and it was completely painless and my fastest donation ever. She deserves a pay raise. I'd suggest a promotion too but then that would be one less great nurse on the floor. This place is so much better than octapharma the staff are so much friendlier at least some of the time and there's so much less bigoted and so much more accepting.
I just starting donating a few months ago.lines are ridiculous only 1 person doing vitals. I have waited in line almost 1hour 45 min then wait to donate another hour to 2 hrs . I know they compensate for our time buts it's not near enough for all those hrs.i will find somewhere else to go or just stop donating.its really sad we try to do something good and we walk into ridiculous lines all the time
I had the worst time at csl plasma, my first time there and donating, started out fine but got closer to the time for them to quit and my donation wasn't going fast enough for them so they started to pull the needle in and out and move it around in my arm, it was bleeding pretty bad and than they decided to stop it and put a needle in my other arm to put my blood back in. of course by the time I got home my arm was so sore and black and blue it was horrible. all of this for a lousy 90 dollars and just caus
I have donated 8 times so far. It isn't a horrible place to go but make sure you have nothing to do that day. I've been going on sundays & Tuesdays and most of the time they are under staffed. I've waited an hr to get my vitals checked and then almost 2 hrs in the donation line. The staff is nice. Well most of them. Jamie is very sweet. And I cant remember the lady's name but she has a shaved head with tattoos she is Also a very nice woman. I haven't had a bad experience yet. Just the wait time is almost no
I was deferred when I went to login to do my questionnaire I called to find out why.... Nobody had an answer. I was then on my Honeymoon and received a call telling me the reason I was deferred was because I ROLLED MY EYES! Are you kidding me? I can't believe they waisted their time and breath to make that call. Can you come up with a better excuse when you want to single out certain people to defer all the time! And I seriously mean that. If they do not like you at this place, they will make sure yo
Slow is an understatement with all that staff standing around. Lady at the front asked for help so many times and nobody assisted until atleast 40 minutes later
By far the worst location I've been at. Management must not exist here, dirty used bandaids and cotton swabs on the floor, trash everywhere and the employees are as friendly as a wet paperbag. Avoid york at all costs and go to Mechanicsburg.
They shouldn't even get one star? some don't know how to stick people right. When I was donating some lady moved the needle and the needle wasn't even in my vein. I wasn't able to get my red cells back or anything. I appreciate one lady was trying for me but my experience was just horrible. On top of that. My autistic brother sat there for HOURS waiting and for them to give him $10.. and wasn't able to explain to him on why he only got $10 knowing he won't understand so when I try to tell them they won't li
I started donating a couple months ago and so far I've had no issues with anything. Staff is friendly and professional and try to get the line of donors processed as fast as they can. I'm very happy with CSL on Eastern Blvd in York pa.
I've been donating at this location for 3 years now. They use to have horrible staff an management when I first started. Even the donors were loud, obnoxious an filthy. But since a lot of those staff members are no longer there (thank goodness!) The staff now are very nice an good at what they do. This is why I give it a 5 star because the atmosphere has changed dramatically for the good. The bad is that there is never anymore then one or two people checking you in when there are six check in booths, so t
Wow... I read the reviews before I came to this location but I foolishly thought it can't still be that bad. It is! I waited in line for over an hour just for a vitals check at 730 am. Cara, the tech was wonderful at least. They're clearly short on phlebotomists based on the super long donation line despite numerous open bays. The phlebotomist I got was either having a horrible day or has been cursed with that being her actual personality. If her name tag wasn't flipped around, I'd happily name her. N
If the worst part of donating plasma is struggling to trudge through the admittance process and not getting stabbed in the arm with a giant needle and having your blood sucked out of your arm, you might have some processing problems. Seems like a training issue and/or employee shortage, but damn... Not worth donating if it averages 2-3+ hours
The staff here are fantastic and extremely helpful. I'm glad I came here. The only downside is that the wait times can be kind of long but they seem to be really short staffed. A really great center filled with really great people!
Been donating for a month. Its not nearly as bad as some of the reviews claim. The people working here are doing the best they can with the limited staff that they have. I have not had any issues with any of them. A few of them have gotten to know my wife and I and they recognize us and treat us well.
I just started going here, and I am on day 3 with no issues. All of the staff is super friendly and super helpful. They are sadly understaffed but that is not their fault, and they are doing the best they can with what they have. Some can be stressed but that's only because you get some rude people here. This is the perfect atmosphere to help support my community and I will keep coming back. 5/5 in my book.
Everything was fine until the salene I raised my hand because i was in so much pain and told them it was stinging really bad and they didn't offer me ice no nothin and I told them I was about to go to the hospital it hurt so bad and they said I will be ok I thought they gave us ice at least or some thing It's like they thought I was lying or something Update same thing happened again I told the lady I was sore and it stings and hurts and she said she doesn't give ice packs out for that and to wait
The only reason that they get one star is because tgere are so.e nice people there. Most of the time they are under staffed and nobody wants to help you. You will wait to get processed. Then you will wait to get a seat. If your machine is running well and you get done in a reasonable time, you will have to wait for someone to unhook you. 30% of the time they messed up my injection and it was very painful it's not worth the time . If you calculate the time you spend tgere I to $ per hour.... Its not worth
If I could give it zero stars I would. After my first donation back in August I continued to attempt to donate and they kept saying my pulse was too high. I spoke to medical multiple times asked for my post to be taken manually multiple times. With no affect. I am a nurse myself and then understand why this was occurring. After five more attempts with no success they then put me on a 14 day deferral because of my pulse being over 100 which didn't make sense to me because when I would take it manually it was
This place is so slow! They have like 5 bays to check people in, and you are lucky if they have 2 bays open. So you can imagine how slow it is when there are 20 people or more in line. I have waited a total of 2 hrs from check in to get on the donating chair and that is all standing on your feet. No chairs or benches to sit down.. So make sure you have nothing else planned for your day. And since they fired a lot of staff the staff is somewhat more pleasant. Been donating here for over 2 years and would be
Chris is flawless at what she does. The girl should get paid way higher for how she compensates for others within her vacinity. Tiff and Shy are so personable. Jaime is perfect at her job. Needs promotion. Medically they are thorough and detailed, thus there will be some wait in line. They genuinely work for the donor to have a positive experience.
Only started coming here late January 2019, at first was impressed with organization and cleanliness. Now, only weeks later, I've seen a marked decline in employee attitudes, trash all over the floors, and way too much chatter on the donation floor while there is a back up of people waiting in line, or waiting to be hooked up or disconnected. It appears to be grossly understaffed, and is taking a toll on employees and donors alike.
I have anxiety and it flared up when I got stuck and the person said the machine was acting funny. So my mind began racing and I just asked if I could bail out. Joanne was extremely understanding and made me feel better. They ended my donation with no issues. I've been coming for a little over a month and have had nothing but good experiences here. I think the staff is very friendly and well trained. I will continue to come and donate.
Here on Wednesday, August 17th. Got here at 5. No line to get vitals checked. Plenty of employees on the floor. Yet at 7 here I am still waiting in line to donate. Not even close to the front. There's no reason it should be a 3 hour visit on a random Wednesday. An employee hears people complaining and her response is "You don't have to stay." Get your act together CSL.
The staff was nice and it went fast. But I got attitude because I had a google coupon got 6$ extra and it didn't say you could only use it one time but the girl at the front desk kept saying I could only use it once with an attitude. Then the Techs on the floor that put the needle in my arm poked it to far and blood was squirting out on the side of the needle out my arm. The floor staff need to be more experienced.
I had my first experience last week. Everyone was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. Even the other donators were very nice. I would recommend doing this to anyone who can. I need the money to be honest. But even when I don't I'll be happy to go. They hold incentives and drawings for donors. Fun environment!
It was super busy when I arrived, but the staff was great! It was my first time and they walked me through every step. They even gave me a follow up call today to check on my experience. I will definitely be going back to donate again.
I've donated platelets in HV, MD for over 2 years without payment. I am now working from home and this place is less than a mile away. I have not had any problems in the last 2 months since I started. Yes the lines can be long but where else can you get pd $25 an hour to play on your phone! I also donate to save lives, not for the money. Gene and Emily are fantastic! They get the job done with no complaints, and no pain.
I do not normally review places, but I am beyond annoyed with this place. I come twice a week, go through the process like everyone else. Wait in line (sometimes for hours) to give my donation. Time and time again I'm sitting in the bay for 20+ minutes while the workers go to other people who came AFTER me. Even after letting them know I've been here a long time, they continue to skip over me while giving me an attitude. I have a job to get to and make sure I come 4 hours early every time. I'm not sure why
One lady put the needle in my arm and started the donation of plasma process. Ok everything was fine but then the return part when the saline returns in your body wasn't working so a different lady moves the needle around and now the needle is sticking up but not out of my skin but it hurts. So I'm asking for them to do something. So somebody else comes and takes it out and says I will still get paid. Okay but I got paid half a payment. I called to talked to the manager all day and nothing. They really don?
Although I wasn't able to donate, was told my veins are too small, I just want to say that the little bit of time that I was there, Ever one was very polite and courteous (including the donors in line). I am sorry to see the negative reviews, I just wanted to say that my experience was a good one and I do believe they are working towards improving everyone's experiences with them.
Everyone was very informative and great on answering questions and concerns for a first timer. They were going as fast and as efficiently as possible being short-staffed and I did not mind waiting. The procedure itself was much less scary than I imagined. I will remember to bring a sweater next time though!
I had a pretty terrible experience when I went here. Staff seems generally miserable and unpleasant. I went once over a month ago and am still dealing with pain in my arm. I work in the healthcare field and asked one of the nurses to take a look at my arm because it was in so much pain. They said I had hematoma and that who ever stuck me had no clue what they were doing. Said I had a way better vein right next to the one they chose to stick. The pain was pretty bad the first week or 2 and has since subsided
I really enjoy the concept of helping people and making money through donation. I have donated at other centers for other companies before and the employees always really cared about you and worked fast and hard to get as many donors through 4 bays. This center, the workers are very slow and don't care about the donors. They only use 1 or maybe 2 bays. Just detonate 3-4 hours for a single donation.
All the staff are very helpful, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I was very shocked and appreciated the amount of information they collected from me on my medical history, to make sure I could safely donate. If donating is something you want to do, I highly recommend you stop in to see these wonderful people!!
????THIS PEOPLE ARE RAICES!????they will not help you if your Hispanic! be careful with who you trust your health and live with. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL ESPECIALLY LINDA! ?? the place is dirty and smelly. the treatment is horrible. this place should get shut down!
I honestly would only recommend coming to this donation center if the wait is too long at others. I donated the other day, and for a good 5-7 minutes I was sitting with my hand raised and a blown vein. And after sitting uncomfortable for awhile the tech came over and took out my IV without any further explanation just to tell me I wasted 3 hours to only get paid $40.
It's been about a year and a half since I've donated at that location. Understaffed ,long lines . Rude employees everywhere. Shouldn't be surprised by the location. Managers were rude to employees on the floor. In turn staff was rude to donors. Even the donors were dirty and obnoxious. Once again more of a location issue.
False Advertisers! Make no effort to amend their mistakes and truly do not care! Where to begin on this messed up dump... From the beginning to end of a typical donating day: Usually have no problems at check in (other than the fact I have had to go to the doctor 3 out of the last 5 times. If you have to do this ever you understand the immense frustration I endure missing the line forming at the floor. Last time I was there I had it and left after the doctor's office visit because I had now been skipped by
I successfully donated plasma about a year ago with minimal issues, which is the only reason this is not a 1-star review. I attempted to donate plasma 4 days ago, but they were having technical difficulties with their computer system, so I was told to leave and try again another day. This was frustrating since I have to drive about a half hour one way to get to the center, but these things happen so I wasn't too upset about this. I attempted to donate again two days ago, and the phlebotomists attempted to
The staff is usually very friendly and the establishment is clean. With a high turn over of people, I like that I always see the staff taking off their old gloves and putting new ones on. I am so glad that I didn't listen to these awful reviews and went to see for myself ? it feels good to help others in a clean, friendly environment ?
It used to be good here. They are so short staffed in the evenings, the wait is ridiculous. Over an hour for vitals because they have one technician. Then there's one Flebotomist on the donor floor. I hate to leave, but I don't have 3 hours to spend.
If I could give 0 stars I would!! 1st- The techs are not experience and they use us like dummies! the ONLY good techs are Kayla & Seree (sorry i dont know how to spell her name) 2nd- I walked out of there building with an ice pack on BOTH arms. The after bruising lasted 3 months, it was nasty looking. I went back after a year and she stuck me wrong, they had to take it out and send me home and the bruise is HUGE and it is hard lump at injection site. 3rd- The front desk is slow, have no customer service
I have been going to CSL plasma in York for the past year. There has been a very obvious change in management. This time last year, everything ran efficient and smooth, I was in and out within one hour, the staff was very professional. In the past few months I have dreaded going in. I know the staff will be rude and unprofessional and take their sweet time unhooking me. I have to wait 30min to an hour AFTER I'm finished just to get unhooked. Please, someone from higher up, address the management issue or
This place has a genuinely caring staff. Always a great mood very careful and to be honest.. if you have a bad experience here it is most likely your fault due to your attitude or impatience.. These people are super professional and make you feel at home while you're donating.
Went for my first time today & your employee Sara was very professional & made me feel super comfortable & helped me out so much! She was extremely kind, courteous, & knowledgeable! She really made my experience great! Also, the phlebs were super friendly as well & Tinesha & the young pretty dirty blonde girl (i forgot to get her name) also made sure I was extremely comfortable & walked me through everything & kept checking in on me to make sure I was still good! The needle insertion was pretty quick & eas
I went there for the first time today and everyone was super helpful, answered most questions I had before I even had to ask. Took their time to make sure I understand everything and took their time with any questions I did have. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. So excited to start my journey here, I plan to keep going back. Its a great way to make extra money!
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! First time I went I was there about 4 hours because I was a new patient and had to do the registration process which I understood that and overall it went well. However the second time I went was a complete disaster and I didn't even finish and got up and walked out. When I got there the second time it went well up until the point where I was to be seated and start donating. As I was waiting in the line to be called I didn't hear when I was called and when I realized I was being
Donated Plasma A long long time ago, almost 25 years ago for diapers and cigs. The machines have gotten smaller and the pay has only increased a little bit it used to be 10 and 15 no bonuses. The customer service eas not great. The folks at this location our some of the finest, friendly staff I have ever met. They explained the whole process and even when there is a problem they explain what I need to do to ensure I can donate the next time. Leaving ice on a bruise and promote healing etc. These workers are
I don't know why there's so many negative reviews I switched from mechanicsburg to here but Lori was amazing. I'm a flincher when the needle is put in. Not a fan on blood touching me but she cleaned me up good and said? don't look you're okay? she has me getting pulled at 90. Due to me getting dizzy 2 times in mechanicsburg. The front desk ladies were nice too ????
I would rather not include my name or phone number, seeing as I am a regular at this facility. I have had a previous (and only) bad experience with the Phlebotomist Tori, where her and another associate spent around 10-20 mins digging around in my arm after a bad stick. Today, when needing the needle repositioned, I was initially nervous when I saw it was Tori coming to assist me. The repositioning was unbelievably painful, to which I could not contain a cringing, crying, and exclamatory ?oh my god? reactio
I don't usually rate anything online but i feel like i have to rate this place because of just how shady it is. The staff seems like they just don't care, in fact most of them seem catty towards one another which is just really unprofessional, especially considering where they work. During the first blood exam I asked for a new needle (i didn't see the girl unwrap a new one in front of me. it's something i'm always cautious of) and the nurse gave me an attitude. I was deferred for a very simple reason they
The staff on the floor are good but extremely understaffed. Very long waits are unnecessary. And only a few managers help out. Others u see walking around talking to one another or going out to smoke. Very disrespectful to the rest if us.
I as well feel like I wasted my time here. Staff seemed unprofessional and I waited here just like many others for almost 6 hours only to be told I had one more degree temperature than they would allow. They would retest every other vital sign but but for some reason not 100 degree temperature on a hot day was out of the question. Time wasted , wouldnt recommend anyone going here. Wouldnt trust them with a needle.
This place is a joke, its so bad they turned off the ability to review them on facebook. 1 person doing vitals and 3 on the floor while management just watches. Took the guy 30 mins to do vitals on 3 people. It used to be decent in there, then they fired half of their staff and never replaced them. Employees are miserable and i dont blame them, who would enjoy working somewhere that doesnt care if they have the tools to get by.
Chole is the sole reason for writing a review. While everyone is nice and accommodating Miss Chole is above and beyond caring, empathetic, and an overall good phlebotomist as well. In my brief interaction with her she proved that she is the type of person who will do whatever it takes to make sure anybody feels like family as soon as they walk in. CSL should count themselves lucky to have her.
Went 3 times to donate and got through to the chair but for some reason or another it didn't work out. Your plasma is worth $500 on the market but you get paid $30-$40 after the introduction rate of $60 for the first 4. It's time consuming and demanding as you have to drink lots of water and prep beforehand. You need to fast to get your blood protein in the mid-range and then spend time doing survey and waiting. The place has a low staff which leads to long lines on busy days as there are many empty chairs
I have attempted many time to donate. The 6th time they finally accepted my ID. I advised them I got a new tattoo on Valentine's Day 2017. It was 3 days shy of 1 year so they told me to come back in 3 days. I came back and someone entered the information wrong in the system. Instead of allowing me to donate on Feb 15th 2018, that's the date she put in the computer as when I got my tattoo!!! They said there is "nothing they can do" because the system locked me out! You try to do the right thing, and make a c
Service was great until I actually got onto the donation floor. All employees were friendly and well trained but one. One employee adjusted my arm too much which must have caused the needle to slip in a wrong way and allow a saline infiltration. She neglected to pay attention to me and took a good 10 seconds to even notice me when I was trying to get her attention. My arm swelled up over an inch above normal size and I became very nauseous, dizzy and had almost passed out. It truly traumatized me and I hop
The staff is always super friendly and willing to help with anything needed. Only down side is they do not take enough precaution when dealing with people doing drugs. There should be mandatory on-site drug tests given before donation.
I waited 2 hours at vitals with only ten people in front of me, just for them to deny me due to the massive bruises I had on my arm due to the phlebotomist jamming the needle into my arm 2 days prior. They really need much more training and I will not donate at that location ever again.
I don't normally complain about places being slow with service but it was absolutely terrible with the service being so slow. At busy hours and they only had one person working the vitals area and only 3 phlebotomists on the floor. Carlisle Pike CSL is a million times better
Today is my fourth day coming into the facility to try to donate plasma. It's amazing how long the lines are and how slow it takes to get to the donor floor. I'm Glad to see that new donation centers are opening since this company cares more about money then their employees and donors.
Not to bad customer service wise just short staff spend alot of time waiting here after working 8 hours. standing for a hour waiting is not ideal they should add chairs to thier vital check point area.
I usually don't go to this site but have been there twice & they are rude unprofessional & GHETTO as can be.... the one employee was looking to see how many people were walking in @ 7:45 talking about they not getting stuck, people get on my nerves they need to stop coming in,the pay is not that serious she went on & on I say if you don't like your job than quit and don't bully nor take your frustrations out on donors or anyone...think about if it was your family member in need of plasma donations bet that
Well I believe it's time to revise this review this place used to be great more recently however there are some very disrespectful ppl working here 2 imparticular I'll leave unnamed I'm not childish enough to tell you who as that is their preferred form of disrespect.and I'm not like that so if you are going to go here just keep it proffessional don't tell any thing they don't need to know someone might have a bad day and decide to tell ppl shot about you I've seen it happen 3 Times by 3 employees! Beware u
The staff are nice but they do false advertisement they told me being A new donor I would Make $500 the First month, 100 each donation Then they turn it around and he said now I would only get $385 so $90 the first 2 then $50 When I told the lady at the desk that's false advertisement, she said she knew Ridiculous
Was defered first time one of my counts was one number to low then went back two days later everything was ok ezcept they had to change arms cuz i guess the orgional side we started with became a no flow on a few ocations someone else had to come to put the needle in my arm cuz they was having issues finding the vein but i agree the staff some just dont seem to care and no customer servise qualifications. Not very friendly......
Great place to donate and staff are the same,so I don't understand people complaining about the process knowing that they know the process, staff will go out of their way to help anyone even if the donor is disrespectful , people always gotta complain about something it's basically free money, accept it or get a job
They are extremely slow, rude and unprofessional. I stop going there because their cleanliness is not active. I've had to tell them several times to change their gloves. Kayla is the only one that changes her gloves. Not only that, if you get deferred you end up losing that 8th donor high pay out. I have since been going to Grifolis in Harrisburg, they wipe down their beds each time the client leaves. Also, when deferred at CSL for low protein you have to wait a week, not at Grifolis, you're able to come ba
2 bad experiences on the donor floor outweighed the one good one so i will not be back. Staff is friendly, but seems short staffed making them rush to stick the needle in.
If I could give them less than one star, I would. After almost every donation, I try to withdraw money, only to find out I didn't get the full amount that I was supposed to get. As far as their customer service, it sucks. They had me on hold today, for fifteen minutes, then hung up on me.
Horrible, on my second donation THE so called nurse? Stuck me with the needle and pulled it right out, yes and You guessed it a stream of my blood straight up in the air wow! Not to say she then turned around and thought the needle and piece of clear tube in the trash and a co-worker had to tell her not to do that??That's just one accurace. Another time they did the same thing to the woman beside me and was unable to find here vein so what did they do about her blood getting on her cloth? You guested it. T
Staff are very nice and friendly, courteous and well versed in what they do. Professional in all areas and aspects of the process. I am well pleased with each visit I make.
Have gone twice. 1st time was 3.5 hours, 2nd time was 2 hours. Not bad in my opinion for the 200.00 I got. Everyone was super nice.
Not a good place of establishment. I've been going there for 3 months. And have been deferred from giving plasma 4 times for bruising. Which there so called people are train to stick you with a needle. NOT. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT BRUISE YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE. I WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN. GOOD LUCK.
The people at the front counter stand around and do nothing all day. Or just chat. The people on the donor floor are rude as hell and think they can say whatever they want to people. Honestly just a bad experience all around. Can't wait for the health department to come in so they can fail their inspection and get shut down. This place will not be missed.
The staff are very rude to you and The reimbursement is not worth the pain you'll be dealing with from these incompetent people sticking needles into your skin. They messed up BOTH my arms by sticking the needle in wrong and i had pain and Bruised after for weeks i stopped going back after that i cant believe they have workers who don't even know what they are doing
Just a friendly heads up to anyone who considering plasma donation. After your 6th donation they drop your payment by almost 50%....After my 8th and final donation I was never paid for my plasma. When I called, they quickly blamed me, and took no responsibility. Don't go here. Everything was good till donation number 7. "Today your payment will be $20. That's insulting to put it lightly.
The staff here is great they make me feel welcome and answer any questions about the donation process I may have.
CSL Plasma of York wants to keep making big incentives for first-time donors but don't even have enough staff or personnel to handle their regular donors load. They need to give the incentives to the regular donors because they are the one's who are dedicated to being there. Take care of what you already have and they will take care of you!!!
This place was nice when I first came now it's becoming a joke more n more every day to much drama on floor for one standing in line for ever before getting waited on and then after you finally do get done you have to flag someone down cause there busy yapping about personal life not paying attention or your waiting to go back and there walking around with hands in there pockets not doing a thing just don't get this place anymore if things don't change I will be done.
Was denied my first time because of a slight bruise on my wrist. After a few weeks i went back again and I was accepted. While donating the area around my i.v became swollen and they had to stop. I was told that the lady who put my i.v in had been messing them up all day. Not sure why they kept allowing her to continuously screw up.
Tried to donate for the first time and no one was running the front desk. Waited about an hour just to be told "oh I'm sorry I didn't have you signed in". Look elsewhere unless you have 4 hours to spare.
Well I was planning to go here today to donate but after All the horrible reviews I definitely wont be going! What a shame because I was looking forward to it I've always wanted to donate plasma.. I will not go and let a place with such horrible reviews on not only staff but cleanliness stick me with any needle. I'm so disappointed!
This place is very unprofessional. The employees always seem to either be too busy to handle incoming people or wrapped in their own conversations it's honestly sick especially when they have so many people walking around doing nothing.
Just got into an altercation with the manager for him talking down to me in front of everyone, extremely rude person, whom let's his co workers be extremely rude to others as well, not everyone coming in to donate has a drug problem with a lack of manners and regardless everyone deserves to be treated with respect by the staff working there
They draw you in with big bucks then drop you to $20 a week. Then when you go in for your second day that week, they make up an excuse of why they can't take your plasma. On top of that, some workers are rude. The one called my friend fat. Mind you, he is over 6 ft tall, 178lbs. Fat where?
A lot of BS just to donate, but it's tolerable. A great way to get staff to acknowledge you when you're finished donating is to pretend like you're on your phone, works everytime.
I will give this place 2 stars because I have heard of other CSL horror story locations in the U.S. The fact of plasma donation is that it is very different from whole blood donation, like one does at the red Cross to save lives. Plasma primarily benefits big pharma companies who make hundreds to thousands off each single donation, after processing into drugs that may or may not actually be beneficial. More importantly, each "raw donation" given to CSL, one of the 2 major plasma collectors in America, is
This is one of the worst plasma donation centers I have ever been to. If you're planning on donating here you need to give yourself at least 2 extra hours in addition to your donation time due to the lack of a scheduling system resulting in an incredibly long line to donate and to be unhooked after your donation is complete.
I was at this facility as a new donor for 1.5 hours and wasn't even halfway through the registration process before I decided to walk out. I didn't get to complete registration or even be close to donating. I should have read the reviews before coming. I'm disappointed I wasted my time today.
After successful donations for almost a year at BIOTEST PLASMA CENTERS. Moved back and tried csl. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! Customer service sub standard. I think God saved me from a problem before it happened. They make it a difficult situation especially if your white.
Not only is the service slow but the employees are so mean. They don't care about how they stick you or about the pain they cause. Please don't go here, it is not worth it.
The employee was very nice to me when I donated for the first time and it didn't take long at all for them to unhook me after I was done
No Front Person To Welcome U When U Arrive. Also No One To Answer Phone In A Professional Manner. Waited 1Hr & 5 Mins. TO Bave Vitals Checked. ANOTHER 30 Mins. TO Make Actual Donation. Service Is Awful & They Are Always Understaffed.
I don't knows what all the fuss is about I've never had a single problem staff has always been good to me ask for Kayla she is a pro
I got denied the ability to give blood because I have a tattoo on my Left arm I could have easily given blood on my right arm I feel so discriminized against its not funny.
Most of the employees are very unprofessional and rude the place isn't as clean as it should be and 2 of the employees are racial as I found that out when it was directed to me
Need to hire more people waiting for hours is ridiculous.. they have one person taking vitals most of the time
Long lines, disgruntled staff, company doesn't seem to realize if I don't get my measly $20 - they don't get their 4k. If they had competition in York, they'd be out of business!
The wait is extremely long almost every time I go the employees move slow and dont use no team work at all . Half the time I end up leaving because I cant wait any longer!!
My experience was wonderful I love the customer service I get plus they do be short hand at times but they do say I am very sorry for this I just like all the people who work there
If all goes well with the doctor today and I'll be able to donate tomorrow finally after 2 weeks of waiting, there are a lot of things that will disqualify you but if you make it through it is worth it, free money and helping a cause.
There is always a very long wait, doesn't matter what time of day it is or what day of the week it is. The majority of the time they are only using 2 bays due to the fact that they are constantly short staffed. It's a shame they are the only donation center in the area.
ALWAYS HAVE TO WAIT MORE THAN 20 MINUTES AFTER IM ALREAFY FINR BEFORE I CAN GET DISCONNECTED. DEFINITELY FONT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE SOMEWHERE TO BE. THE PHLEBOTOMIST WILL CARRY,ON CONVERSATIONS AND NOT PAY YOU ANY,MIND. DONT BITHER COMPLAINING BECAUSE MANAGEMENT DOESN'T CARE.
Let me tell you about Scott at CSL Plasma I didn't even have to tell him I needed to be unhooked from my donation urgently he just knew..." Thanks Scott for getting me to my very important meeting on time your the best!"
Terrible exspirence I came. Back n. They deferred me brcausr. I wouldn't. Take my shades off. But it's not in the. Rules
After reading all the above reviews, I changed my mind about donating. It seems staff is very unprofessional. Just not worth my time!
We all would like more money for our donation, but they do bonuses often enough that it's worth your time, just remember that it's only helpful if you can go twice a week
Extremely long waits, no water for donors while we wait, I go between four CSL location and this is by far the worst.
Racist employees got blood on me and had to pay for testing just ti be safe i had to pay fir and i got hep c from it i called they didnt want tohear it they just hung up will be making sure noone who reads this goes worst decision of my life
Please don't do yourself the harm and donate here. Donating here you're at serious risk of suffering a side effect at this location. Severely understaffed, donators beware.
I don't mind coming here at all I've gotten to know everyone and I enjoy my time there always helpful staff
Great plasma donation center and staff: clean, professional, thorough, and polite. Donate 2x per week to get $60 - and there are periodic donation bonuses, too!
These are nice people at this facility. It's an easy way to earn extra money while helping people with your plasma donation.
Awesome place! Can't wait to come back. Staff is friendly and place is very clean. Awesome give always too!
Staff was very thorough and walked me thru the process. Will definitely return
Ridiculous you get in at 7 am to wait and Hour in line because they 2 people at the front desk to take your Vitals and one of them has no clue what she's doing smh ... Need to hire more people!
This place doesn't even deserve the star I'm forced to give it. Worst experience, tell me I can't give blood because I live in a tent and not a house smh
Horrible experience. If you want to wait forever then, be told you can't donate, here's your place.
Christi has really changed the atmosphere of this location. Great attitudes of staff and respectful across the board.
Lines can be long but staff is always pleasant!!
THIS PLACE REALLY NEEDS TO STEP UP AND GET IT TOGETHER! THEY RUN IN A SKELETON CREW MOST OF THE TIME AND DONORS DO NOT HAVE ALL DAY TI SPEND HERE!!! HIRE PEOPLE OR GET THOSE THAT WALK AROUND AND DO VERY LITTLE TO PITCH IN AND HELP, EVEN IF TO ANSWER THE PHONE!!!
Extremely slow and understaffed. Not worth $20 to sit there for half the day. Avoid!
Would only leave a half star if I could due to very poor scheduling of the floor staff by management, only using 2 bays out of 4.
I had a pleasant visit at this center today. Thanks to the staff for that. Very friendly today.
Rude staff. A few are nice and helpful, but most ignore you and won't help even when they aren't doing anything else.
They kick me and my boyfriend out and we are new to this and they were mean to us this in the one that is in York Pa one don't come to this one
Been coming here for over 2 years, never had an issue. Great staff!
The people for the most part are really nice, including staff and other donors.
Sloppy the machines don't work right.they take there time doing everything.plus there machines keep putting my blood cells into my plasma which screws it up
This place does not have a lot of employees there is usually a line nomatter what time you go and you usually hear employees talk about other employees
The staff is rude this place is not worth it if I can rate a zero i would this place need new workers they gonna have a lot of people stop coming with their attitude problems I will never come back again
CHANGE YOUR GLOVES FOR EACH PATIENT!!!! That is HIGHLY unsanitary to use the same gloves for a few people and then change them.
Been waiting for 4 hours to even start donating. This place is gross and under staffed. Will never recommend.
Depends on the day, generally smooth running
This place is horrible. 5 hour for new donors to be processes so she left.
I love coming to this place, it feels so good to give to others. Plasma is needed in so many different ways.
I been waiting for some results about a month , this is ridiculous. How can this take so long for the results to come back to plasma.
Over all the place is good. It alittle slow most of the time.
Very understaffed but the staff is pleasant when not absolutely overwhelmed.
Friendly staff. Easy donation process.
hope you like to wait. staff are nice though.
I wanted to donate for the first time. And no one was at the Front desk.
Slow employee always want to talk instead of getting things done
Very very slow do not go there go to mechanicsburg
Clean Facility/ Nice Staff/ Fast & Easy Process.
Some of workers are very slow and don't want to do their job
HOT A MESS!!!!!! First off you have to be a desperate person to come here
Staff is always super friendly.
Horribly bad employees are so meen
Very understaffed, some of the phlebotomists are rude
Always polite and easy to speak with.
If i could hive it 0 stars i would
Long wait at 10:30am
I Love CSL..Very Professional.
Great people! Great way to help
Great bunch of employees
Very inconsistent and poorly managed.
Customer service really terrible
Pays well to help people
Sometimes a long wait
Friendly and knowledgeable
(Translated by Google) They do not have staff who speak Spanish, I could not donate because there is no one there who speaks Spanish, you cannot even use a translator on your phone or a person to help you, tremendous disappointment is not allowed ??waste of time or it is racism to people who do not speak English, do not waste your time there if you are Hispanic and do not speak or understand English (Original) No tienen personal que hable espa?ol no pude donar por que all? no hay nadie que hable espa?ol ni

Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
