Customer Reviews

The employees there were very helpful and friendly. Natasha made me feel comfortable and she was humorous Thank you for a pleasant visit

Started out great. No problems. Seems I didn't make the weight category. So far plasma donations can only be done by physically good looking persons. They have quite a few reasons and ways to turn you away. My blood is checked regularly by my doctor, I know where it's at. I wouldn't try and donate if something was wrong. I don't do that. I have excellent blood too bad for people who need it.

I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment since nobody had answered the phone after several days of leaving voicemails requesting a callback to make sure I was bringing the right documentation. After checking in I was told to wait for just a minute while someone comes to check me in. After waiting 15 minutes I asked if anyone needed me to check in so I can make sure I'm not "late to my appointment" even though I had been there for 25 minutes already to which they told me it should be a little longer. Af

This donation site has gone down hill in the short time I have been going. There is now always a super long wait, your appointment will be over 2 hours behind. The staff is kind but this doesn't make up for the 3-4 hours spent there. Plus the nurses promise a promotion that the manager then won't honor! I won't recommend anyone to go here

I scheduled an appointment for 4:45, I understand they close at 5 but when I arrived 5 minutes early, the doors were locked, and when I called I just got an automated response saying nobody could pick up the phone. I live an hour away so this was a waste of gas and my time.

This place is wildly slow. They are never using their machines to capacity, not scheduling enough people. The staff are very nice, but the time required makes it a hassle to donate. It's usually 90 or more minutes before I even get hooked up to a machine.

I brought everything they told me to bring as a new doner. Dispite that after hours of waiting I was given a form (that was never previously mentioned) to have my doctor fill out confirming I was healthy enough to donate. I asked if I could email or fax them the form and was told "no, you have to bring it in person but you'll be able to donate when you do." A week later I went in with the form and was told "well our dr has to look this over first and that won't happen today. You should have just emailed thi

This place has gone downhill! They are always short staff. They are disorganized, which means they are constantly making mistakes, which costs you the donor time, which they don't pay you for. Often I see the staff just standing around, chatting, despite a long line of customers. The staff shows no respect for the amount of time donors must give. Today will definitely be my last visit. Not worth my time.

They discriminate with people who have ptsd and require them to get a letter. They make up the excuse that it's for safety but if other plasma placed don't require it because it's against the ada law then it's discrimination. I even mentioned my other problems and they only wanted to get a letter for the ptsd which made me even more uncomfortable.

Dr. Al was very friendly and helped me with understanding all my questions and made me feel calm before donating highly recommend everyone come to Bio Life Plasma and start saving lives and getting that bag ????

If you are worried about donating plasma then let me put your mind at ease. Bio Life is very professional and super clean. They make donation safe. Highly recommend.

BioLife is a very clean donation center. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. They work pretty hard to get clients in and out in a timely manner. Also very good pay, lots of 1st time donar promotions.

Natasha (was working today around 1130 and blonde) needs to be fired. Very rude. Telling people she won't stick them for asking her (kindly) if she could please stick them soon after watching her go to people who hadn't been waiting nearly as long. She was intentionally making them wait longer. Talking to people all slow like they're dumb and making a scene for everyone to watch. We will be contacting HR about this experience.

This is the slowest biolife I've ever been too. An hour just to get seated. Then the machine beeps because I'm not plugged in properly. It takes 20 minutes to get an adjustment, and that doesn't even work. Then another ten for the phlebotomist to come back. I've been here for 2 whole hours and I've only donated 190 mills out of 900 which went up for who knows what reason. There's no workers here and a surplus of chairs and machines but an hour back up before you are seated. What happened to the flow of this

I decided to edit my previous review. I have to give 1 star, but if I could I'd give negative stars. More than 1 year complaining about short staffing and ultra long lines to be seated and start donation. It's outrageous the way we've being treated here. If you can't handle the number of donors don't open extra slots to schedule. Only 2 sections out of 4 open, 16 people in line and I've been waiting for more than 1 hour. Late afternoons and evenings are the peek hours and surprisingly you don't have extra p

Most skilled and professional experience than any I've been to in many states. Cassie is a top notch Phlebotomist- and the place is CLEAN and well managed

Appt at 1:10 pm, got hooked up to machine at 2:45 !!! I then had to wait like 10 min after finishing g to get out. Not enough employees for the # of appointments you make. No sense processing people to go back & sit literally for 30 min and the person that went right before you because they got sat in a different section leaves 30 min before you and he was a bigger guy!!! I went there and was told you are changing things to better reserve people but it's honestly horrendous. One guy (worker) took 15 min f

They have one single nurse doing all the initial patient stuff. I got here at 930 and I've been waiting for the nurse for over an hour and a half

Steve, Natasha, Tia, Gloria, Maya up front, justin, have had all great experience. Pleasure to talk with. Presented themselves very professional. Wishing them well and all their endeavors moving forward, Thank you Staff! Also a very clean place.

Horrible wait times. It's much worse than just 2 months ago (before christmas) Staff are more concerned with socializing than not making people wait.

The environment is great, clean, and always friendly. Steve poked me today and I barely felt a thing. He is not only skilled, but an easy, calm presence as well. He always makes me comfortable to be there.

The staff is super friendly and the music is always great. Steve can always find the vein in my left arm, Natasha is quick with machine resets, and they usually have fun color coban! I mean, really, who wants to sit anywhere with a huge needle in your arm for longish periods of time. Nobody! But since we do it anyway, this is a great place to donate plasma.

They really pay attention to the number of donors coming in and shift where they are working to accommodate each one of us in a timely manner-

Based on previous experience at this center I expected to be there for at least 3 hrs for my physical and donation, but I was out of there in 2 hours! In the past, I also remember the center being understaffed, long lines, and the staff seeming stressed out (understandable). This time, all of the staff were extremely kind and composed - I felt like I was a patient being taken care of by a nurse! It also seemed like the the center was running much more smoothly/efficiently.

The person that did my donation stabbed my muscle in my arm, causing extreme bruising. Complaining about what happened didn't even do anything left name and number wanted compensation

Any new person comes to this facility come see Q she is the person for everyone, love her!!

Zero sense of urgency. The line is terrible, people get out and get back in all the time it's no ordinance. Should not take 3 hours every single time. Half of the bed are closed as well. Do better

Almost always understaffed. Very few good techs left. Spent 3 hrs total there today. Not busy. Only 3 sections opened. Worst tech I've ever had, couldn't hit a vein to save her life. If the other locations weren't so far away I'd never come back here.

I come here pretty regularly and I really enjoy the staff and the experience. They could use a few more people to make sure things go quicker. Would still recommend going for the extra money and knowing what a difference you make in the world

When I came here the first day to get my exam, I accidentally left my phone in one of the rooms. I didn't know if I was allowed to go back in so I told one of the staff members. She very rudely said "OK so go and get it". I don't remember her name but she has a short bob, (a Karen style haircut) and was an middle aged white lady. Im high functioning autistic so I may have been a little awkward about it, but she was extremely rude. Another time I came in she looked and me and laughed. The other people workin

Steve made my visit at BioLife a positive experience. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, ensuring I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. His professionalism and kindness really stood out. Thank you, Steve, for making the donation experience so much better!

Even at their busiest, it's apparent that the staff try their best to keep things moving as smoothly as possible. When I first started donating, I was very naive about the process and made some mistakes that caused some set backs. The nurse I was working with at the time was very understanding explained things with patience without being condescending. I wish I could remember the names of more staff to list them, because there's certainly plenty that I love working with! It's always a treat when I get Krist

Steve is welcoming, pleasant, professional, positive, and efficient. He always works hard, smiles and says hello to all. The Carpenter rd location is clean, friendly and easy to use. Thank you for a good donation experience, in helping those that need plasma.

Had an appointment to be a new donor. I sat for 30 minutes past my appointment time. NO ONE CAME TO TALK TO ME

While the staff are all friendly, there is lots of drama between staff and olstaff not really knowing where to go. Steve out my weight in for double what I am and had someone else not caught his mistake, I'd of ended up in the hospital. The wait is absolutely insane. Everything is just wild.

My appointment was at 11:45 and I donated last this tuesday. I came in for my appointment 15 minutes early and was told today on Thursday I was not allowed to donate even though it's been 24 hours. I had to wait for a manager for over 30 minutes which they had to call four separate times to come up up to the front. Finally when I do get to speak to a manager she tells me that I'm not allowed to donate till Friday and that if I come in again on a day that's not my donation day then I will be deferred. This p

Robbie and Q were very nice but Daisha who appeared to be in some sort of management position was very rude both when I checked in and while I filled out my questionnaire. I could hear her talking rudely about me thinking I was no longer in the building stopping only when Robbie informed her that I was still there on the computers. From the moment I came in new and nervous for my first appointment Daisha was very short with me. She told me my appointment wasn't in their records despite me having it physica

This center is ATROCIOUS! Soo understaffed and they book too many appointments. Back at the Grand Rapids center I could be in an out in just over an hour. They're always closing sections, having people work multiple sections. I've been waiting in line for an hour and a half and hasn't even gotten to sit down. Once seated it's always another 30 minutes to even have the label printed and start the donation. It's absolutely ridiculous how slow and incompetent this center is.

Everyone here has been pleasant so far. The only long visit I've had is the first one that involves the physical. All the others after that have been fairly quick. They are very punctual and professional.

I've been coming here for almost 4months, 2 times a week! Sure the money is great but it's not just the reason I come. It helps the lives of others for so many reasons ?? I have some favorites at this place as well who make you feel at home, and interact with you as if your family. Christy was one of my favorites since day one! She's very sweet, gentle and truly just cares. I appreciate you for your time today and your positive/caring attitude. Keep up the energy, I'm so thankful for you!

Hands down the absolute worst on time. They have you set an appointment, but you leave no sooner than 2 hours after you show up for your scheduled appointment. Just the time from entry to donation is over an hour literally everytime i come in its ridiculous. Dont think you're safe just because you get a bed, either. Youll be there for the next 30-45 minutes waiting for a worker to acknowledge you. They don't explain their process just kinda leave you in the bed until somebody finds their way to you after he

I'm always happy to have Steve handle my donation process. He's quick, friendly & always makes sure to check in to see if everything is going ok. He definitely makes the process quick & enjoyable.

Yet another disappointing review. This place never ceases to upset me. I walked in for a 12:15 appointment and there were only 2 perple in front of me. With a full wall of customers after i came in, the screener just stops and says shes going to lunch after putting 2 people in front of me, leaving one screener for 10+ people in line PLUS new donors. Once i actually got back to the donating area an hour after my appointment time, i watched the worker overlook me whilst making eye contact to go help others t

Staff is friendly and pay is decent. Place is always clean.

I've been donating at BioLife since November. The staff has been great all around- team members like Kelly make it a good interaction all around. Your first time there- just be patient- it didn't work out for me my first time- was deferred and had to come back. The first time was about 2.5-3 hours total. From then it's typically around 2 hours- give or take (I usually have to go on weeknights). The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5, is it seems weird to me, that the longer I give, the amount I receive d

Update PSA this place has 1 person working up front admitting people , 1 nurse and two people hooking people up on Sundays. You guys might as well just close for the day because the service is ridiculous another question why do these guys call you back so you can sit there for 25 mins waiting to get hooked up I mean seriously why did you call anyone back of you aren't ready? The people here aren't bad but besides that this location sucks. First of all making an appointment on their app is pretty much point

The establishment in Ypsilanti is always clean, staff are welcoming, friendly and great at working as a team! They love what they do and it shows.

Some staff members seem extremely disinterested in their job and downright rude. They neglect to tell you that if you've started the questionnaire but don't donate that day you don't have the ability to reschedule for the next day. Plus they don't have their phones on and you have to call 20 times to get them to even pick up

BioLife in Ypsilanti has been a wonderful experience since my first donation back in October and have upheld the same standard since. They are proficient in their skills and offer help to all patients. Cristy has always been very professional and pleasant to encounter during each donation. Each visit she's smiling, we always share a laugh and I've never been in pain from one of her placements. Phlebotomy GOAT!

False advertisement on blood donations. I offered my donations but my last 2 pays where not as the said. It was half of the amount. I won't be offering there ever again.

I have to say, while I, a white male, had an expedient and wonderful experience, my friend that I came with, a black female, did not. She had forgotten a couple of paperwork to bring, but I was able to help her find replacements quickly, and inform the staff of such, but by the time I was processed and awaiting my physical, she had still not been called, 20 minutes after her scheduled appointment. Others who had come in well after us were going through while she sat waiting still. I told her to try moving f

Experience was great! Steve was so personable. He made accommodations so my experience was good! Great at his job!

The staff at the Ypsi clinic are very friendly and welcoming. I donated today and was in and out in 55min. The tech Cristy that took the donation made sure I was comfortable and got me set up as soon as I sat down. She also took me off the machine the minute my donation was done. I would definitely recommend donating here!

Waited an hour and a half for a nurse to see me for a physical only to be told I couldn't donate because I needed a form filled out by my doctor. This form was not mentioned anywhere within the required documents section. They had to pull a nurse, Vicki, to give me a physical even though she was busy training a new employee. I saw at least 3 other nurses who were not seeing anyone. If they were busy, it would have been fine. However, I heard many front desk staff members mention how slow they were that day.

Steve and Kelly are both aways amazing. Really everyone is but those two stand out for how much they truly remember and care about their patients as people.

I've never really had a bad experience here. With a scheduled appointment I am in and out (typically) in a reasonable time frame. The newer machines make for an even faster experience. My only complaint is their current paycard. The 800 number on the back doesn't go anywhere, you can't see your transactions online and for a lot of places it is not even accepted.

Today I came in to donate and Steve, my technician, was very efficient and friendly during the course of my visit. Overall I've had a very positive experience at this site with the professional friendly support staff.

Staff is fantastic, big shout outs to Erica, Robbie & Desha up front and D, Steve & Darrel on the floor. All of them are always super friendly.

Went in, got paired up with Cristy and we had a great time. She was wonderful and made the sign up process a breeze.

I was a long-time donor with Bio-Life in North Texas. I loved the facility in Denton! The last time I donated was in 2012. When I went to the Ypsilanti location the first time, it was clear that I would need an updated physical because of the lapse in time. On that first visit, they started with the pre-donation screening without asking any additional health questions. My pulse was a little high so I was deferred but told I could come back the next day. I chose a 42-mile drive over a competitor becau

Came in for my first ever plasma donation, between the check in, physical, and donation itself was about 3 hours long. I was warned that my first time will be a long appointment. Otherwise, everyone I met was really helpful from each step of the way. Q did my physical, and she was the best! This is a great way to make some extra money. The facility is also feels clean and organized. I had employees direct me what to do each step of the way. You can tell the staff really looks out for one another. Hopefully

I am a 3 year donor. There have been good and bad experiences. The place clean, the cadre of donors is diverse patient population. The facility is revolving door for staff. they have a few persons that are staple to the operation. At times the staff seems overwhelmed. They have several quality employees that are welcoming. Back to previous experience as a donor at a different site, I would be Steve, Chrissy, and Vickie. I am treated well. Are ours that fancier Kelly, Anya and Darryl. Recent management vaca

Very informative & super friendly staff Made my visit awesome will be going back here again

Steve is the best, he is kind, professional and I felt no pain at all. The place is clean, well organized and everyone works well together. Thank you

Nice and easy , everyone is well informed and kind. Crissy especially was very informative as this was my first time and helped me understand what I needed to do During my second donation I had a wonderful time with Kelly g . What a joy to have here. She's fast but meticulous- def knows what she's doing

I regularly come in to donate plasma and everyone is so nice and friendly! Kelly has taken care of me a few times and she is very kind and supportive! Anya, Jamilah and Isaac have also treated me very nicely and are always very happy to help when my withdrawals give them trouble!

They do not value your time. They will defer you if you are 10 mins late but you can get there on time, and have to stand and wait for an hour and a half before even getting screened with no extra compensation. If we have to schedule appointments in advance how is the wait time so long? One guy left and they offered him a pass for the next day. I start leaving and they just ask me if im leaving. Might have to go somewhere else

Always a good experience here- first time back in a while and Vicki was so nice and helpful. She has a great attitude toward helping people and it goes a long way when you have to be there for such a long time. I'd recommend this place over any other plasma centers in the area.

I've read through a lot of these reviews and nothing i have to say is any different than most of the other reviews. Two hour wait time to get seated, additional hour to get poked. Employees just wandering around talking to eachother without a care in the world about us sitting in chairs putting our lives on hold. Every time i go, I fill out a comment card stating how unhappy i am about their "appointment " schedule. Why schedule an appt very 5 minutes when it is IMPOSSIBLE to handle that amout of people

I've been coming to Biolife almost a yr and I have no complaints. All the staff is nice and if You want a flawless stick with no pain, Someone who can brighten your day? Ask for Kelly, she is Awesome!!!

First off, the staff is amazing! They are friendly and chatty and you can tell they love their job and donors. The place is clean as well. However, First 8-12donations were great. Since the equipment change, it has been a zoo in there. I was getting in and out in 90minutes if not less before the change. Anymore, it is taking 90+min just to get a bed. (And no I did not change my appt times). The last few appts I have been there for 3hrs. One day I waited almost a hour just to have one medication updated wit

I watched Gloria handle a syncope so well, and then several other workers came over to assist. The teamwork was beautiful to witness. Love to see it. You're in good hands when you're here.

I have been donating for almost a year at this location only. I feel the facility is always clean. Most the staff are super friendly . Wait times can be very long at times but I try to come in when its not the busy times. Also I have a lot of patience's so waiting doesn't bother me . Some staff are better then other at the poking the last visit I got a hematoma resulting in some problems donating . But will re donate as soon as I am eligible again to do so

This location needs help. They are extremely short staffed, so you can expect to wait 60-90 minutes after arriving to actually begin the donation process. The manager (African American male with locs) stuck me, and adjusted the needle three times immediately afterwards. I am left feeling like the staff at this location needs sufficient retraining, donors should feel like the staff is knowledgeable and can preform all basic task assigned to them without confusion.

I love when I come and Ericia gives my pokes. She is super friendly and always has the best earrings!

First time trying to donate plasma i had to wait over 3 hours for them to tell me to go home because i would would be waititng hours more if i wanted to donate that day, i tried again to come early in the morning and ended up waiting an hour to not get checked in, I had an appointment each time. The staff are no help and constantly talking about how much they hate thier job and the need to be paid more. If you are new and trying to get in good luck.

This is the friendliest, cleanest place I have donated at! The staff were all pleasant and explained what was happening step by step. I'm not sure why the ratings are lower than other places nearby - I have been to the other places and this is by far my preferred place to donate.

I donated here for 5 weeks in a row and had a good experience 9/10 times. The 1 time the experience was just ok because the wait was very long. Darrel was extremely careful and knowledgeable. He stuck my arm with precision and I didn't even feel it go in or get taken out. He definitely knows what he is doing and I recommend others to try and get the section he's working if he's in!

Donated today 5/2 and an hour and a half later still sitting stuck in their parking lott with the app saying my money is on it but being declined for everything. Call the card - balance 0. Where is the money? Seriously!!! After MONTHS of donating here, this is unacceptable. Zero stars. Would not recommend - it they can't fix their mistake.

The staff has always been helpful and efficient at this location. I would especially like to thank Steve for his knowledge and professionalism and I will continue to come to this location in the future.

All the Team were on their A Game , they were very caring & Professional..

For a plasma donation center I was blown away by how professional every single member of the staff was no fake niceness just real sincere warmth and everybody seems to enjoy their job.

Steve is great. Friendly, outgoing and a hard worker. I always know I am in good hands with him.

Kelly & Daryl gave phenomenal service for my first donation. I really appreciate the team. They made me feel comfortable and explained the process in easy ways to understand.

Staff is Nice but most have no idea how to find a vein or stick the client. I have only visited here about 6x and I have had 2 hematomas from the line coming loose in my arm.

I'm writing this as I've been sitting for 30 minutes just to get poked. There's 6 other donors in my section and 2 employees. 30 minutes to get poked? No wonder why wait times for everything is so long. You wait to get vitals taken, wait to be seated, wait to get poked?. I'm watching an employee in my section talk about ?how the gloves in the pink box are tighter? but myself & one other donor have been sitting here 30 minutes. Now there 3 employees in my section but still sitting here for 30 minutes plus. T

At first it seemed pleasant, but it took me way to long to donate there. The managers are great and they do the there job. But some of the staff are very rude and don't take the time to have a sense of decorum while in the work. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends and family. I stopped going, because of how rude the staff was and how immature they acted, and honestly the lack of care. But when you go ask for a manager to stick you they're the only ones that care and will look after you one of them name i

When things go smoothly, great.Any other time, however... Today I was deferred for "too high hematocrit" after the employee doing my screening (Dominick) admitted performing a possible misread to his supervisor and was told to use the number given. This is a first time issue for me. I do my best to keep my donation days the same per week to avoid conflicting with my FULL TIME employment position. Having my schedule thrown off by one day like this INDEFINITELY or unless I miss out on a payment period (due to

Cristy (Carpenter Rd) is the best! She's always great to talk to and one of the best here. She gets me going fast as well. Thank you for making me feel comfortable.

The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Kelly. Kelly is professional and excellent at her job. More importantly to me she always makes me smile when I'm donating

Love this location! Super clean and the staff is always friendly. Yes the wait times are longer than they usually due to staff shortage but once you get your initial donor visit and physical done, most of the time I'm in and out in about 2 hours max. Have been coming here for over a year and has been great since!

I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to donate. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Making an appointment is easy and the app is easy to navigate. They are very busy so keep in mind it's not going to be quick but the donation process itself is so although there's a line it moves pretty fast.

Very slow in here today. But still waiting same amount of time is ??

Steve was awesome. Even in a busy busy time. He made sure we were good to go.

Steve is very professional and old school. He takes care of patients efficiently and also has a nice bedside demeanor.

Requested a blood test, lost it, requested another one and so I said sure; that was over a month ago after calling. Still can't schedule appointments and either they're to lazy or don't care enough to fix their mistake. Go to octapharma down the road. Same service and at least you know you'll get somewhere with the process. (Octapharma also verified that i was good to go, so it wasn't an issue of quality. Next step is an FDA complaint. Edit: Calls made to them and received the same answer every single time

Staff is very friendly, always a great experience

The staff at biolife are always friendly, and they try their best to get the line moving. I will say it's usually pretty busy in the morning, and sometimes the front computers crash and need to be restarted, but for the most part it's a very enjoyable experience and I think the facility is really nice and clean.

Long review coming!! Recently became a new donor! I believe I've been donating now for close to a month. This center gets pretty busy, so wait times are sometimes long, however, I've never waited more than an hour (which was my first ever donation appointment) to be seated in a donation chair. I've found that with a little more effort in conversation, the people that help have been nice and always remember my name now when I walk in the door. I'm always met with a hi and a smile and I now love the interacti

The Ypsilanti location lacks employees and good managers. There is zero corporate support and according to the manager, there is no corporate phone number. I was not able to wait 2 hours after my scheduled time to start my donation and they would not extend my coupon. I am completely disappointed with the lack of service provided .

Great place. Always in and out. Each person there is good at their job which you don't find often in this industry

Sorry to make it one star I just hope for change Center is incredibly clean and professional looking compared to other plasma centers It is however, run very inefficiently. Problem is likely with management not having attainable or valuable enough goals

The staff checking us in and doing vitals are awesome. Once you go back for the donation, most of the staff is clearly over worked and frustrated. Most have been asked to work over their shift and aren't happy and don't refrain from talking about it. I feel like I'm a burden to them, but I guess that's on me. The wait has been extra long lately because of staff call offs, but that's everywhere right now. I did have an experience a couple weeks ago where I had 4 new donars get placed ahead of me, plus 2 rech

I'm not sure if they have fixed this or not? After being screened, you have to stand in line for sometimes an hour or longer for a bed. When they could just have a seated waiting area for the donors. And, call their name in the order that the labels print for the plasma bottles. This is what Octapharma Plasma does.

I have had the pleasure of donating at this center the past year. The hospitality at this location is unmatched and they have made the donating process as easy as possible!! I love this location and the staff are super friendly/helpful. Cristy is my favorite phlebotomist!!! She is the best!!!

Overall I have had a good experience with BioLife Ypsi. There have been times where staff was short and wait times were really long but I really like the staff there. Kelly and Steve always extra nice but several others are incredible too.

I had Christy today on 2/16/24. I really do love her!! She is very kind ,fast, good and is very friendly.

I was expertly tended to by different people at biolife but most of all Makailah. She's very hospitable and makes the spot feel like home. Special thanks to Kelly for telling me I could leave a review.

The line time was very long. I think an hour and a half today but the staff was doing their best to keep up.They do a great job

Aggressively understaffed. Expect to take an hour and a half minimum most days.

I have been donating plasma for years at a different company and decided to give this place a shot. Over the course of several months I had been told my levels and blood pressures are low however when I follow up with my own doctor within the same day I'm told I'm perfectly fine. I assume that they just decided to defer people as they see fit on certain days regardless. This was my last attempt to donate with them as on top of these supposed low levels their rates you receive for donations are no longer wor

Bre was super nice when getting me set up, she was quick and efficient?made me feel comfortable and actually took the time to talk with me during the process which is always appreciated!

I came in for my 2nd donation because they sent me a coupon for $125. Staff member assured me that the coupon was entered. They closed while I was still there, and I realized after I left that I was only paid $40. I've left multiple voicemails because no one answers the phone there and have contacted them through the app with no response. Ridiculous to not be able to get in contact with anyone whatsoever, and ridiculous to get me in there by promising to pay me $125 for something I hate doing, but did becau

Customer service if fine but you can't get the same answer from any 2 people. Their knowledge is very limited. I have been in twice to be a return donor but because of my age needed paperwork from Dr. Offered to do sample but they said no then get a call saying they need sample and I have to wait until it's approved to donate. Gas isn't cheap and it's a half hour drive. Every time I go back it's something else. Very poor knowledge of what is needed and no consideration for would be donors.

I have, according to the schedule, been ineligible to donate for 2 months. I have called NUMEROUS TIMES ! No one answers the phone EVER! I have in the last week left 3 messages asking someone to call me back. The third one was a message left for a manager explaining how frustrating the situation is and asking for help! No return call there neither! Apparently this location does not Care anything about the donors! Not a very professionally ran business! The staff on the floor are actually quite pleasant to w

It always stupid busy has a few good employees but not many if you come here just expect to send your whole day here

Not worth it. The first time will take forever, and many people will get rejected due to some nurses not understanding things like the difference between a hereditary and non-hereditary illness. I did the promotion and found that while I was doing it the rate was ~$25-30/hr, but you need to drive there, and afterwards you would be lucky to get $20/hr based on the way its staffed. They make a lot of money off of their donors that goes towards the top of the company

I have been coming here for about a year and every time Steve has always gone above and beyond to ensure I am welcomed

Updated to 4 stars after actually going in, they have a very clean and well put together operation. By appoint only user beware Must go through website

If you're a new donor, the lady behind the front desk will ignore anything you say and then not comeback to talk to you until after your 10 minutes late for your appointment, which is the cut off time before they say you can't get you're appointment anymore. It's not worth it to go to this location. Find a different location.

Very friendly staff who explained everything very well, which was nice as a new donor. The facility was clean and they seemed to have a lot of sanitizing protocols. It was pretty busy around my appointment time so it took almost an hour longer than expected but it was still a good experience. Update: on further visits it seemed a little unorganized at times but staff remained friendly and informative.

First time ever donating today. You can expect a 3-4 hour wait for your first visit, we all know everywhere is overbooked and understaffed. Despite being overwhelmed, the staff did really well and kept things rolling as quick as they could. Overall, a good experience.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment as a new donor. The first person I talked with was good. However the "nurse" I saw for my "physical" looked through my medicine list for at least two hours. I sat in a room with her while she went through my medicine list again and again and again, often asking me the same questions about the same medicines, typing one finger at at time on the computer. She didn't know what some basic things were and seemed to be quite incompetent. She also said at

MINUSES: God help you if you need to call because NO ONE answers the phone EVER no matter what button you press! Nurses did not return 4 voicemail messages in 12 days about a problem with my blood - think about that! There's a lot of ineptitude for a medical business: Many staff members act brand new and can't answer the simplest questions; those that have answers are rude and treat donors like dirt! A nurse messed up something in my chart, sat me in the wrong area & I found out I couldn't donate 1.5 hours

I had an issue with my sighing in. that issue was resolved in a timely male nurse. The staff members are very polite an willing to answer any of my question.

Kelly did an awesome job with my deep veins! She's able to get it first try! I held up my end of the bargain kelly! Great job overall!

First time donor. Plan on 3 hours for your first visit and possibly more if it's a high peak time. Pack your patience or it will not be a good experience. All the staff were friendly and the actual donation part was less than an hour. I will be back to donate at this location.

Kelly G did a great job! I have a lot of scar tissue that gives most people problems and she had no issues hooking my IV up!

I have been donating plasma at various facilities for 10 years. The staff here are always friendly and professional. Ask for Cristy if you want a smooth, painless stick.

Their medical staff on site has very limited knowledge. They do not clean touch screen stations and equipment between patients. Their nursing staff is rude. They will give you attitude, roll their eyes at you and make snide remarks while doing your health interview. If you ask for follow up from their actual medical staff they don't do it. They place is just overall very sketchy and ran by people with barely enough medical knowledge and training to do what they do and literally nothing more. They are also n

This place is very unorganized and has lack of communication skills. Very unsatisfied with the service. The people are nice that work there, but when it comes to medical information or the proper way of dealing with a new donor this facility could be a little more professional . I would not recommend this place of business to no one even if it is saving lives .

Go ANYWHERE else! The staff is AWFUL! Their listening skills are equivalent to a toddler. There's some very inaccurate information in my file! When I tried to fix it, I was told they couldn't. So you can't fix inaccurate information that YOU put in there because you couldn't be bothered to do your job right & listen the first time around? Got it! Great! ?? It says "we do not discriminate" but they absolutely 100% do!! They took what should've been a positive experience & turned it into a s***show! I've nev

Steve is awesome. The whole team is pleasant to be around and makes you feel comfortable.

This use to be a great facility however my last two encounters have been awful. They have very little staff, they have removed half of their machines. They have too many appointments for the number of machines and number of staff they have. What use to take a hour now takes close to 3.

people were relatively kind, and the phlebotomist obviously knew what they were doing, however out of the 3 people at the front, only 1 seemed like they knew what they were doing and moved efficiently, 1 was slow, and 1 had no idea which made the process a bit slow edit: i take it back, many employees are very cold, the initial line is painfully slow especially considering theres a 50/50 chance u actually qualify

After very bumpy ride at the first visit, Vicki and Zack made this visit a breeze! So very nice helpful and courteous! Such a breeze! Thank you both!

Absolutely great crew out here. But if I had a dream team Steve and El. Love those two

My appt was at 940. Still sitting here 1035. If can't fulfill appts made online then should offer. Plus site says around 2 hours. I scheduled my day accordingly. This is bad business. So after a hour I get called back then they tell me might be 2 to 3 hours atleast. It's like people yes do for good cause. But left a real bad taste in mouth I got up and left. I

Life saving plasma is what we as donor give to help other that really need it correct. I have donated for over 20 years and I am grateful for the opportunity but BioLife does not appreciate what we as donors put up with at this location week in a week out short staffed and most of time 3 hours to donate. The staff is always busy and keeps a smile on their face even though they really hate the situation they are in. Max is pillar that keeps this establishment together and all of the team too. So back in Apri

The front desk person was very rude! He had a fro. He picked a hole in my finger and set the bandied on the counter and I asked him to put it on. HE REFUSED. so I sat there struggling to put the bandaid on with one hand. He then said ?respectfully I don't even cook my girlfriend breakfast? which was very rude. When I simply asked him to put the bandaid on after poking my finger and making it bleed. Smalls is very nice and sweet. I recommend her. She made me feel comfortable and better after being disrespect

LONG WAITS Do not go here unless you have at least 3 hours to spare and good legs-there are NO CHAIRS or a simple bench to slide along, so you are standing for hours on end. Intake nurses are almost rude-certainly not welcoming when you are trying to help others in need.

Very clean & friendly. Staff makes you feel comfortable & are always ready to answer any questions you have. A very positive experience!! ( if you're a first time donor ** eat closer to your apt time, as you will have some preliminary things to do prior to donation)

Everyone was very nice, but my wait has been VERY long (hours), lately.

Professional and friendly staff. They go out of their way to make personal connections. Look for Steve. He's great at what he does and is a really good guy!

Never had one issue with donating blood or plasma my entire life. First time I go into Biolife they screw up my samples and I end up with very sharp pain in my arm from a hematoma. First time in my entire life I ever had any issues with plasma or blood. Stay away!

There's some old blonde chick that works there. She is incredibly rude. I made an appointment and registered. I get here and the lady just starts talking at me then states that I need to have my social security card. I explained to her that there cite just prompted me to register and make an appointment. She kept saying because I didn't have extra verification she'd have to run it through a third party system. I said ok but you could tell she didn't want to do. Finally she takes my ID to do whatever and the

My experience here was great. Everyone was really friendly, the place was clean, some of the techs were more skilled than others, but even the newer techs handled things professionally. I'll miss the place. I guess I have to get a real job now!

BioLife in Ypsi & Tyler, specifically, are amazing! Highly highly recommend. Tyler was the person who did my very first donation. They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed through every step of the process. I always feel confident that it will be a smooth and enjoyable donation when I see that they are the nurse to set me up.

Cristi?s service provided was more than exceptional. I hope she is a reflection of the entire staff. She is phenomenal.

Friendly but severely understaffed, half the beds aren't being used and the wait time is long. I went twice but decided it wasn't worth the gas money and all the time that's required just standing around. I won't be returning.

The Ypsilanti staff was efficient and pleasant. My only complaint was that the $900 coupon that is still on the website was not honored. I was told "We aren't doing that anymore, is $850 OK?" I am donating more than 850 mls per visit so volume is not the issue. I didn't balk but the coupon should be honored, the local pizza shop does that Takeda is the largest pharmaceutical company in the world.

Most of the staff lies about there experience. Front desk has always taken walk ins until today which was fine until she caught an attitude and tried to lie about never taking walk ins. Save your effort and go to octapharma staff is alot nicer and hasn't had to restick or adjust the needle in my arm like biolife. They also haven't left me with 5+ needle scars on my arms.

All the employees were communicative, and efficient. Have never been in and out so quickly. Special shout out to Cassie

Been donating almost a year, the past 2 times I have been I have had the same tech in my area, they are pushing the fluids way to quickly, both times have left me feeling like I am suffocating and struggling to catch my breath. Turn the machines down please!

The staff is wonderful! Everyone is so kind and helpful and courteous. The facility is clean, organized and well-managed. I definitely felt comfortable and safe with this being my first time ever donating plasma!

I always have the best experience with sufficiency when I have Cristy to help me... She is very nice and always has a smile.

There really nice. But let me give you a realistic expectation. If you are deferred and are waiting on a reply its best if you just check the app and try to schedule two appointments. If you can in one sitting, you're all set for that week. And i think that works best around my personal schedule. Secondly, on that 2nd donation it is imperative you are not late. They will let it slide on the first But will be rigorous on punctuality on the 2nd. Dont take that personal Its that (just business) And con

Absolutely Not! The manager of the facility is very rude and for the quantity of customers they get it is very understaffed. NOBODY should ever have to wait in line 2 hours just to get to the donation floor. Then sit in the chair another 30 min to get stuck all while the manager and makayla stand and stare at the customers and laugh when you complain. If you ask for a ?corporate? number they say ?its this number? This is how they get away with treating people that way

Last time I donated the person assisting me was moving the needle inside my arm cause he couldn't find vein. Then he had to poem my other arm. Both my arms were very bruised and sore . Today the needle just popped out of my arm and blood started oozing ?. The Persian around wouldn't come fast enough to fix this. I heard them say quietly the needle was not placed correctly. They were acting strange and talking very low. They wouldn't share I formation with me and the little I knew was confusing : the nurse w

If you Goto BioLife you want KELLY! Kelly is the sweetest person ever! She is a great phlebotomist! I always know I am in great hands with her!

First timer and i will have to say they are wonderful i didn't get two of the other staffs name but Kelly was great professional and very friendly

This place is a joke! At first they told me no because I had a seizure then call me telling me if my do tor says a questionnaire everything will be fine. They made me jump through hoops trying to contact my doctor for weeks, I decided to physically go to my doctor to have him fill out the questionnaire that THEY wanted so badly. After I physically went to my doctor then physically went to them, they told me they would contact me in a week. 2 weeks went by and they told me no again. Why did I have to do all

????? "My first impression of Bio Life Plasma was the cleanliness, throughout the whole location. All the staff were very attentive myself and other donor's. CASSIE, MARY BETH,DARREN were extremely professional and made my decision to switch donation places easy Thank you James Gafford

Always a great experience and Cristy helped me get through the process quick and easy!

Fast service my worker was Q she was amazing

Kelly aka KG is a phenomenal needle poker and excellent customer care and service. She never has an attitude and always polite to donors ??????????????

Place sucks..they understaffed and rude. Will differ yoy for anything just so they don't have to do there jobs. Place is a joke. They half answer questions of why. Let the crackheads and dirty stink go with no question but differ others..there system is a joke and favors some over others

D.D. was great he put me at ease and his humor made the time go by fast

Little time consuming but that's to be expected. Nice staff friendly faces and my helper Kelly was great and detailed in the process

Love staff at carpenter rd office. June did a great job with my blood draw

Very slow-paced people work here. I've been to a lot of different locations in three different states this is the smallest donation center. It takes the most time ever and the only one where you must have an appointment to enter. Some people have bad attitudes.

I've been coming to BioLife Plasma Center since the mid summer and have to give a big shout out to Kelly and Steve. I've never had a bad experience here but even when this place is slammed these two are wonderful faces to see.

This place is great after your first visit which can take up to 3 hours, the next visits are about an hour! Very clean I feel the staff is great. I have terrible veins and never had a issue. I will continue to go there. Please do NOT trust these reviews and see for your self it's a great place

I always have a good experience at this location. Staff are friendly and professional. Kelly is always so nice and on top of it!

First time going made an appointment for 12:10pm and was told it was a 3.5 hour wait! Why make appointments then?! I scheduled this on my day off in between helping in my daughters class and a field trip at 3pm. Unhappy I drove an hour for nothing!

It's a hit or miss honestly. I've donated 13 times and gotten 6 hematomas. 3 of which were in a row. it's a clean place but very disorganized? they need to hire more people and train new people longer. It's a hot mess most the time .. but it's clean at least I guess.

Steve was great they were so busy but he gentle and efficient

I am still pretty upset been a week and still no one has contacted me back they needed paperwork that was faxed over 20 minutes after they asked for it. But still no response over a week later. They keep stating that the dr has to approve it and not sure when he will be there. I am going CSL plasma same amount of money and and polite not rude on the phone!

Pray you don't get Natasha. She was extremely rude!

Kelly G is amazing always smiling and kind. Never hurts when she pokes me. Love Kelly G

I do not, in any way, recommend going here. Two weeks in a row I had problems with the Indian woman that was sticking me. The first time she dug around in both of my arms trying to find a vein. I finally told her I was done. The second time she stuck me, found the vein, turned away from me and literally ripped the needle out of my arm. The arm cuff was pressurized so blood shot out everywhere and all over my clothes. Here's $20 Thanks Biolife

Staff is very friendly but the clinic is severely understaffed. I'm tired of making an appointment time then not being stuck for at least an hour after that time has passed. Fill the staff or lessen the appointments.

They discriminate against mental health disorders and waste your time. I was there for over an hour and half going through registration and talking to their "doctor", who I highly doubt is even medically qualified to call themselves that. They refused to let me donate due to a "medical issue" I had as a literal CHILD, that never needed treatment as it was normal in how the human body grows and went away once I finished growing in height. They also refused to let me donate due to the fact that I was diagnose

Called them to ask a couple of questions and the second she answered she said, ?thank you for choosing BioLife have a good day? with an attitude then immediately hung up. Call lasted no more than two seconds. Very unprofessional

This place is great, my favorite person there is Ericia who always makes you smile.

One of the worst places I've ever donated. There's always a problem when I go donate. I can't use the website to make appointments. I've never had a bad experience at a donation center. It's really hot outside and my temperature was .1 over what the cut off was and they treated me like I was some infection that was going to kill everyone.

Find another location since healthcare workers like to work with slow-motion, and they like to bring "first donor"s to the front of the line, which make your time worthless

They have a new policy that staff don't change their gloves between patients unless they're visibly bloody. This is VERY DISTURBING, and goes to show how much a for-profit medical company will value basic sanitation let alone human life. Again BLOOD-HANDLING is their ENTIRE BUSINESS, but they're too cheap to allow disposable gloves to be changed between BLOOD DRAWS. What else are they cutting corners on? I have frequently had blood spill out of my arm there. I could handle it but I won't if they don't follo

Always have a pleasant experience.

Daisa, Megan, Makailah,Jamilah, Steve, Cristy. Everyone is great and very upbeat. Kelly was awesome

Donating here for about 2 yrs and love it! The staff Gloria, Q, Cassie, and Mikayla are especially awesome, friendly, and professional!

Cristy is sooo sweet nd she is a very great great worker she always has a smile on her face nd she is quick

Megan was an absolute saint! explained everything thoroughly and genuinely made the experience the best i?ve ever had while donating

Kelly G is always so helpful and patient. I'm always happy to see her when I come in.

Super friendly, it was our first time being there and donating in general. Each person we interacted with from start to finish was very nice and answered everything we asked.

Every single staff member is so kind and helpful. Makes you feel very well taken care of. Also super clean and efficient facility

They are incredibly short staffed and schedule double the amount of appointments they can take. Takes an hour and a half to sit down because there's 12 donors ahead of me

The employees there are very friendly. They keep a very clean environment. They also have some great bonuses. ?? You can't beat it get paid and help save lots of lives!

This place it's always dirty and the wait time it's joke , you make an appointment but still have to wait 1 hour so they can hook you up in the machine and Gloria if you go to her area will ignore you and management ?Mikayla will give you the excuse that everybody works different and basically on their own pace? I don't have any issue waiting but the fact that they don't acknowledge you and you been seating on the chair for 45 mins I will never come back every

So as I waited for a seat already for about 15 minutes after my screening , I waited over a hour to be stuck because they didn't have any phlebotomist in the section , then as a worker noticed and notified that there wasn't one present , the other sections just kept taking ppl from the line , instread of moving us to empty seats with a phlebotomist present , they kept calling ppl who arrived after me and others in the section , holding not only me but 4 ppl for Over a hour with no stick .very poorly ran, I

Cassie stuck me and I didn't even feel it. It was a good donation I recommend Cassie to stick ya of she's there.

The people are really nice. But the process is taking forever and the lies are ridiculous

Kelly was super friendly and knowledgeable! Get her if you're afraid of needles like me

Cristy was great and so helpful and asked if I had any questions through out the process and during the process as well.

Today Tyler did my intake and Kyra did the plasma collection. Both are fantastic people who are skilled in their craft. They make donating easy and enjoyable to complete.

Very great place today stev and lady Q r very helpful and have Patience very nice people I will be back

Slow shouldn't have to wait so long to get started. you have some who are great! Then there are others who walk right past you if you need something.

Excellent service, highly qualified staff, comfortable and very clean places
