Sparklight offered me the opportunity to sever the thievery of AT&T at 75.49 per month. Sparklight offer 29.00 a month oh and 15.00 to rent the router, was told it was a 300.00 unit, saw it on e-bay for 99.00 bucks. Kept my AT&T just in case. Guy came out 3/6 and ran the line and installed the equipment. Wouldn't work so he check the trunk line at the pole. It was dead so he made some calls and initiated a work order. That was on 3/6/25. Expensive and spotty service. Very difficult to get ahold of anyone to help. Chat service function is just a useless bot so you have to go through the long phone tree to talk to a real person for any help. Internet seems to cut out at worst possible times - weekends/during the only thing i actually want to watch which is the Olympics (evening).. so nothing you can do until a week day during normal hours. I don't even know where to begin. This is somehow the worst internet experience I have ever seen. First off there is no alternative internet provider even though the complexes next door have more than one provider. Not to mention their rates are egregiously bad. Aside from that, their broadband is INCREDIBLY inconsistent. The service is unreliable. It is interrupted weekly for entire days, with the only explanation being repairs being done in my area. For the price of the service there shouldn't be as many interruptions. We only have internet services but still pay too much for it to be so consistent with outages. Unfortunately it is the only option for cable service in my area making the situation worse.
I am currently without cable. I was disconnected after I had paid my bill a few weeks after. I tried to get service again and was told different things from two different customer service. I am retired and cannot afford increase and reconnection fees and for extra equipment that I don't understand why I should need when the TV was working just fine with just basic cable connection. Always good customer service. I told the representative ,that my internet wasn't working ,and that I needed it to be fixed so that I could both work and go to school. The representative escalated my issue, the next morning, a technician was at my home and fixed the issue
Sparklight has exceeded all of my expectations. We recently move here to Texas from Georgia. My Sparklight Network was easy to set up and is a 1 gig network. We have a 2350 sq ft home and with my eero extenders we receive coverage everywhere, inside and out. I can't say enough about it! Sparklight delivers a great service.
Our new address says that their service is 100% available here so we scheduled installation online. Come to find out, after we had to call them, that they canceled our install because our address "isn't serviceable". There is a New Wave box right behind our fence and there is no reason, other than laziness and a sheer lack of customer service, that we shouldn't be able to get internet here.
My internet service has been off more than it's been on the last 3 days. My neighbor and I have both reported it but honestly this company doesn't care about its customers and only provides lip service when questioned about the problem. Terrible customer service
This service is ridiculous. For the price I pay monthly, I expect reliable service. Every time this company is having an "outage" or "performing upgrades" or "making emergency repairs" it is during prime time television or after my family is home from a day's work. Not bad service for the occasional user. Now that I have to work from home I found that internet goes out about 2 times a week. Also, after my work laptop was going really slow thought it was my router so called the router company. Did a speed test on the modem and the router and found the speed to my modem was very variable. We have had NewWave at our place of business for probably somewhere around 6 months. It's been great! Way better than AT&T. It's been so great that I have cancelled my home service with AT&T and I have NewWave coming tomorrow to set up new service. Hopefully it works out as great as it has here at my work!
I have been having a lot of problems with slow speed in the evening. Newwave was great to come out and found that my drop cable was bad. This replacement fixed the problem for about a week. Then again the speed dropped below 1 meg. Again they said there was a problem on the main line. I think it was fixed for a week but now I am seeing the speed drop again. I understand that the speed can drop on cable lines during heavy usage but not 95%!
I have been without internet for 15 days. I have called several times and was blatantly lied to about an outage. It wasn't until supervisor Mark in tech support got ahold of my problem did anything get done. This is one horrible company. Cable was always in and out. Called daily to let customer service know. It took weeks to get a service tech out, and when they finally came out, they promised the problem was fixed (NOT). They would leave before they could even see if the issue had been resolved. Nice office people, but their cable isn't very good (even if it worked) for the price. I had a problem with mine that they couldn't figure out after I moved to a new apartment in the same complex. I ended up dropping the cable part and getting a Roku which I *love*. Their wifi goes up and down more than any other I've had before. I regretted switching from Dish for the cable. Would not recommend because of all the issues.

Sparklight?s new Wifi router is quite spotty at times?for no reason whatsoever, it just stops working, and all my devices on the 5G radio cannot find the WIFI server. This happens 3 to 6 times per day. Sony smart TV?s, Apple iPhones, Lenovo laptop, and even my Nest thermostat all report the same: no WIFI can be found! Then after 2-5 minutes, all is well again! My old AT&T router was much more stable. But I will say this: when it is working, the Sparklight service is quite fast. I pay for the 1 gigabaud
This company is beyond horrible. We have had them for less than four months. In that time period we have had more days with no service than actual service. I'm pretty sure Osama bin laden got better service inside of his cave than we have ever gotten in the Houston area with New Wave. They have over 20 calls to customer service in 4 months, 2 techs out and blamed our end over and over. Nothing ever changes it will come in for a few days then out for a whole weekend or week. Everytime I have a problem they never have things together. I called yesterday because my internet has been down, they scheduled for someone to come out today between 8am and 12pm no one ever showed up after I called them 5 times, each yine they kept saying someone will be out today regardless that they were backed up. For my area it's the best u can get outside of fiber internet...on the downside quite frequently the service will slow down to almost a stand still and when ur paying so much for a plan you expect to get those speeds most of the time. As soon as you call to report the service will jump back up as if they turn ur speeds back up
This cable company personnel are incompetent and will not accept responsibility when their system and service fails their customer. When you insist the fault is at the end of the company, they cover up and literally blame the customer ! Worst customer service ever! Have to call to negotiate my bill once a year because they spike my rate claiming it's because I'm not a new customer anymore. So the fact I been with them for years means nothing. They tried making me feel guilty for not wanting to pay 20% more for the same service. The internet goes down often. When you call, they will never admit when it's on their end and will always call for service technician. When it rains , their service always drops, most likely to ground water flooding, as their cables and wires are underground, this occurs 2-3days after a rain as the water finally seems all the way through the ground.
