However, several complain about long wait times, inconsistent staff attitudes, and occasional needle insertion errors. Payment drops after initial donations and slow processes frustrate some, while others appreciate the extra income. That's after 3 days it was worse. It's my first time and they never told me how to properly do this, the staff left me unattended for long time ,and apparently machine wasn't working properly they had to come insert huge needle again. I AGREE with others. Better management. Find people who enjoy doing this work. Better instructions. More training. I am scared to go back. More STAFF. They don't answer the phone. I understand they are busy but that's why you hire a front desk. You're providing a public ser

I've always had somewhat of a pleasant experience here as far as customer service and the people who work there. I understand these folks work long hours, are usually understaffed, and are probably underpaid but they keep a good attitude. Clean place and usually pretty quick!

They messed up inserting the needle two sessions in a row, gave me a hematoma and big lump on my arm. I need the money for groceries, but I don't feel safe there anymore. Not going back

my partner goes there frequently and this is the second time theyve taken multiple tries to just get the needle in her arm. the ?trained? professionals cant even hit the vein properly. their machine malfunctioned today after she had donated her plasma and didnt administer all of the saline back into her, making her lightheaded and putting her at risk of passing out. which almost happened on the way home. they need better trained people who care more about the ones coming in just to give back to the communit

Service and staff are horrible. There's constant miscommunication and the rules to donation seem to constantly change or are different depending on who's working and what management is on shift. I've been in here 3times and this is a constant issue. I'm not even looking to get paid. I just wanted to help others. Terrible service. Get it together.

Payment system was down..they never told anybody. I had to come back and ask wat was goin on..if I had known that I wud have planned my day better. Got all the way to the grocery store with my kid, no money...

I been here since 8:00 clock my appointment started at 8:15 it's 9:50 I still haven't been help there not that much people in the lobby but like 8 people, I haven't took my vitals, waiting for my name check run back good for an hour is ridiculous now I'm waiting again just so I can't take my questions, i might wait another hour just to get to back. They say it 2-4 hrs hours for plasma to be donated nothing about sitting chair just to get started when people keep coming in getting help asap I thought new don

I mean there is that occasional time I don't feel satisfied but overall I keep on enjoying going here

I'm completely disgusted by the customer services they provide. I call before hand and ask about what time I can go since I'm a new donor and they close at 3. The lady I spoke with told me to be there before 2. I get there at 1 and they make me wait for about 20 min. Then a lady has a gentleman tell me that they can't accept new donors cause it's already 1. I tell him I spoke with a lady before hand on the phone and she said to be there before 2. Since at 2 they stop taking new donors. He then says very rud

I have been donating plasma for 4 years. I have donated at 2 centers before switching over to Grifols Biomat in San Marcos. The staff is amazing here. They are kind, alert and interact well with the people to make it an enjoyable experience. The center is always clean and there is always upper management walking the floors to ensure that each person is treated properly and taken care of in every way. Terran is my absolute favorite (his personality and down to earth vibe) makes me laugh and makes for a good

Very clean and friendly staff ! Always just take an hour they are very fast ???? this company is way better than the other plasma centers . I definitely recommend this plasma center.

Bruised both me and my roommate during our last (and final visit) refused to give me more than 10$ compensation for their mess up. Unprofessional management icky management skinny manager lady gave me attitude when I refused to be poked again. Maybe they should find people who know how to find a vein and apparently better managers as well.

People friendly and very professional. The first time I gave was seamless and easy. What a great way to help my fellow humans and earn some extra money as a side gig. And a special shout out to Mama Red!

I have been coming here for almost a year now. It is amazing. The staff is great! They are friendly and make you feel very welcomed!! I also want to give a huge compliment to one of the phlebotomists KRISTIN!!! She is AMAZING!!! I always see her working hard to make sure everyone is taken care of!! Super friendly! Definitely my go-to when it comes to my stick!!!

Started coming back after the New Year and there have been some operational updates that streamline the donation process from start to finish! Having the ability to schedule your donations through the app has made a huge difference and makes it easier to calculate the approximate time you'll need for your donation. The staff has also been very friendly, welcoming and attentive!

Clean and as efficient as possible. Friendly staff, and Miranda always makes me feel soooo much more comfortable during my visits.

Staff is always very friendly. They are fast and work well as a team. Everyone always seems happy. The building and equipment is well maintained and clean.

I have been coming to this location for over a year. They have made a few changes that have made the experience even easier. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to donate.

Why does no one ever answer the phone at this location? I literally called 8 times this morning since 8:15 and it's 10am and no answer yet. Now they turned off the phones so no one can call. Highly unprofessional for a medical facility to not answer the phone. You would think that if someone had questions about their donation or their health that they could call up there instead of having to drive up there.

This place really needs to get more staff in the early morning hours! Come on now management, it's a shame we can't save a life because you guys can't staff properly in the morning.

I love the place, "it can be quick" but after waiting 30 minutes for a simple pre-questionnaire verification. I go to the floor and I think her name was "cat" finding my vain and couldn't should felt like it she was digging around in my skin to get it right. I would give little more stares but seems wrong, if you cant find the vain and waiting for a simple 1 minute question.... yea.... be like" lets switch arms" still going might be once in a awhile thing.

We recently moved to the area. They would not let us donate because they wanted a lease agreement. We gave them a rental agreement from the RV park that we are at long term. Still a no. Do not come here!

It's to bad this is the only plasma place in San Marcos. Staff here is SUPER SLOW at everything they do. Theirs no sense of urgency by anyone to get donors in and out. Management doesn't care enough to do anything about it either. Grifols is paying us for our plasma, not our time. They have six screening windows with one employee doing screening and 12 donors waiting to get screened. Once you get to the back it takes just as long to get hooked up to donate. Absolutely ridiculous.

I find a friendly atmosphere and positive energy, every time I donate with, Grifols in San Marcos! Safe and clean environment. As well as Speedy. The staff really show a willingness to serve! Thank you!

I wish San Marcos plasma center would pick up the phone 2 days now I have been calling

Been coming here for 2 years now and i wanna say all employees are very good on customer service, definitely recommend this location they are really nice and comforting during the poking and informative. Great job yall!

Very Pleasant and professional. Extremely clean. Definitely would recommend this facility to anybody and the san marcus or texas area. Amazing and professional staff very heart warming welcoming and informative. This is my third time donating and I already feel like home. I am honored to donate and make a difference and will continue to do so at this Facility.

Have just had my third donation, and so far I really like this place. Wonderful customer service, accommodating and kind. This time, my whole visit was a little over an hour. If you're wanting to donate, come as EARLY as possible and not on a weekend. Don't forget ID, social security card, and proof of address. Drink lots of water the night before and the day of, and your donation will go faster. Bring a stress ball to squeeze if you have one. ALSO a blanket or sweater!! Unless you typically run hot. It's

I haven't been very many times yet. However, the only thing I can see that needs improvement is the process of enrollment. The staff is ALWAYS professional, kind, courteous and professional. They are also gentle and very good at their jobs. I appreciate the work they do and the reason the work is done. I also appreciate not just the ability to help others but to beable to earn a little extra, absolutely needed money. I am honestly thankful.

Excellent staff have only had to have an adjustment once in a dozen visits. The staff are excellent at making an often times thought of as an unpleasant experience quite benign and uneventful. I am at the end of my first quarter of visits. The routine is very enjoyable with the only exception being the redundant 58 question survey. I give five stars as there is really no way around the survey.

Friendly, competent staff. Easy intake. Sometimes a wait, but not terribly long. 10/10 Edit: I've been donating at this location for several months, and I feel like I've known these folx forever. Family vibes, fr. Memory, Miranda, Caroline, Milena, Cat, Kaitlyn, Leslie, Jonathan, Terran, the cutie patootie with the beanie, and grumpy-pants Landon (jkjk he's kind and gentle)? Ohana. ??

The staff has always been excellent to me here, very friendly. Always clean. Wait times can be crazy but that's sort of expected in a college town. Very prompt on payouts. Unfortunately after their switch to all digital lots of donors are getting caught in a system glitch where they are continuously asked for a physical or samples. Apparently corporate no longer lets them override this and they are starting to defer people until their incompetent IT team can fix it. I've been coming here for years and hav

TL;DR I spent two days, 6 hours total with no donation to show for it due to poor management and negligence. Go literally anywhere else. Do not come here unless you have 5 hours to spare. Two days before I wrote this, I applied to be a new donor here, and expected to be there for 3 hours at the most. I've donated many times at many locations before, so I didn't expect much delay at all. However, the process was hindered by poor management on their part and needlessly tedious new donor checklists. The whol

So I went here on a referral from my mom and the new donor guy. I don't know if he was just having a bad day or what. Still no reason to make me feel super uncomfortable he scoffed in my face when I told him I was a new donor. Be aware I didn't get his name but he has blonde slick back hair. And i think brown or blue eyes. Again he is the new donor nurse guy. i didn't want to remember it. Because of how he treated me and others he was also supposed to do my physical. But after the way he treated me and som

Don't come to this place, the staff is trained horribly and the management sucks. I've had to leave early 2 times in 6 visits because the Techs don't know how to stick a damn syringe. (If you leave early, even if it's their fault, they only compensate you 10 dollars)

Staff member are always welcoming and the process of being a new donor is fast and easy any questions you have or concern are answered really fast and efficient

It was my first time ever donating so I got there early in the morning because I knew I had to do extra screenings. At first when I got there it was a bit confusing where to check in and what to do for new donors, but once the process was started it was very streamlined and I went from one station to the next very quickly. When all was said and done I was in and out in 2 hours. All of the employees I encountered were friendly and professional and not only did it feel good to help others I was compensated mo

Firstly if you have ANY piercings or tattoos within 12 months make sure the place you went to was ?license.? I went to this location and they WILL waste your time. I feel as if they should have a deferral list of any small possibilities you will get turned away. I went from 1:30 til 4pm I got turned away for a piercing that I got a year ago because the tattoo place I went to was ?unlicensed.? The problem wasn't the unlicensed part the problem is my time being wasted and if I knew I was going to get deferred

I've been donating for over a year. After Biomat bought out BPL, this place has gone downhill at a rapid pace. A process which used to take 45 minutes takes HOURS. This place is so slow and dreadful. I genuinely dread donating plasma now. The place is understaffed, and the employees continue to drop like flies each week. This is a direct reflection of poor management. However, the staff that remains is GREAT!!!

I love this place!!! Everyone here is awesome and extremely professional!! I enjoy my visit every time I go into this facility! The manager dee is beyond fabulous!! Nick is my favorite!!! He always has a big smile for me!!! Addy runs the place like a champ and makes everyone feel at home!!! Alisa can find your vein and get it everytime without you even feeling it! Kim always makes you feel better for coming in, always has a kind word. Love this place it's like family!!!

Fast and easy way to make a few bucks, The staff has always been nice and respectful sometimes the parking is an issue depending on the time of day. If your a person who gets cold easy you may want to think about wearing warmer clothes or bring a throw blanket anyway you been warned. Also if it's your first visit be prepared to be there for a while, mine took a total of 5 hours but after that i'm in and out in an hour.

Things have been . . . . interesting since Grifols took over. Sometimes it takes a while to even make it to the line to get on the donor floor. However, the staff do their best to ensure that everyone is taken care of and feels valued. I love coming here, and actually plan my week around my donations.

My donating experience is always top notch! All employees are quick and efficient. Everyone there is pleasant and will give you a smile and hello! 5 stars all be the way! I've been a regular donor since around 2014 or 2015 and have seen so many positive changes thru the past few years. Things are so much smoother than the DCI days. Just great overall.

I have been a regular donor for about 4 years and have changed my review of 3 stars to 5. When I first started donating the place was always busy and it was not uncommon to wait 2, 3 or even 4 hours. Since the remodeling and new automated kiosk system was installed the wait time has gone down drastically. It usually takes only 1 to 1.5 hours now and the staff is much more attentive. I would like to commend several of the staff for going above and beyond. Edelina, Becky, Deanna and the medical staff, Also Br

I usually have great experiences at this center but one thing happened to me that I will never forget. An employee made a comment regarding my weight. I understand how weight and plasma correlate but the comment made on my weight was unprofessional and downright rude. Because of this my heart rate shot up and now cannot donate thanks to one employee. You never know who has had struggles with E.D.s so save your comments.

I went there tried to donate back in November they wanted a note from my doctor saying I'm in good health gave me a form for them to sign. Doctor signed took it back to BPL they wanted the form signed again by doctor so went back to doctor again and he filled it out and said I was in good health. They called the doctor and said I was fine. BPL was to call me and tell me if good or not to give plasma. They never called and I had to call them to see if I could. I was told good to donate. Here it is April they

I'm a frequent return donor which means I donate 5 times every 6 months due to their cash incentives. The staff is typically friendly but the last year has not done them well for their efficiency. I waited for 1hr 30 min before they found out I wasn't even qued in their system, despite me asking multiple times about my standing. You can buy all the new equipment you need but more staff training is needed.

Great place to donate no bad experiences coming here. I was wondering if you guys were still doing the lapsed donor bonus for donors who haven't went in 6 months

This is the smallest volume facility I've ever donated at and by far the slowest. No communication from the staff, staff constantly taking breaks (after being open 2 hours) , and literally takes their sweet time doing everything . Absolutely dread donating here.

Hi I'm jasmine quinones I just started going to Biomat plasma center and I'm satisfied with the center at San Marcos Texas their very clean and fast . The workers there are very helpful and nice . Since I've been coming it's always quick not packed. I get to help and get rewarded with cash & bonuses can't complain when both are benefiting from it. Go give a helping hand

A good way to make extra money. If you're able to donate eight times a month it benefits you the most. Warning for those who have never been. It can take 3 or more hours to get all the paperwork and things done on your first donation. I would give the place more stars but the corporate office in the past tends to lean towards being cheap. Luckily in more recent times, the management at the center have been able to Aid the customers in getting more for their donations. Most of the time they're really busy h

Definitely 5stars, the staff is great, professional, and very welcoming. Facility is very clean and always up kept to high standards. I definitely recommend this to anyone especially those that want to give back for a great cause. C. Littlejohn

This is a great place to donate! They make sure you are safe and comfortable at all times and I've always been in and out within 2 hours! They will also be happy to answer any questions you have about the process.

As a graduate student with little extra time, BPL had been a great way to earn extra money and help people at the same time. Sometimes there is a long wait so plan on a normal donation taking anywhere between 1 - 3 hours. The employees are great and courteous!

Being a college student, money gets tight and BPL gives us an opportunity to get a little extra cash to make ends meet. Or at least they did. I don't know what happened, but now the staff is rude, slow, and it feels like they really don't care. I have donated quite a bit and I am still being treated like a new donor having to sit for an hour going through the screenings since I'm not very frequent. They are just really slow and I'm not happy with the direction they are going.

I think that the company rules are ridiculous. I was told that as long as you donate twice within a 7 day period, you will get the correct amount of money. I donated on July 30th, on a Saturday, and then today on August 4th. I only received $30 each time within a 6 day period because ?their donation week starts on Monday, not Saturday and that's how the system is so they can't change it? instead of receiving the amount of money I deserve for my plasma ($105), I received $30 again. . . Which honestly is not

Not staffed enough & the staff can be rude. I have gone three times over the past month. The first day I did have to do a physical because I hadn't been in over 6 months. That visit took 3 hours. The 2nd visit wasn't horrible, we were in & out in an hour and a half (36 minutes of it was the actual donation-hooked up from my arm) Today, we sat in the waiting room for 2 hours before we walked out. We hadn't even been called back to the donor floor yet. Dealing with 2+ hours for a regular visit, and rude emplo

I usually come here to donate but this last time the person that stuck me missed my vain so I had slow flow they asked me if I would like to try the other arm I said no. They asked if I wanted to have my blood returned and I said no. They didn't follow my request not to return the blood and when they did my arm swelled up with blood causing me intense pain I asked them why they tried returning the blood if I said no and was told they had to many people say no to the return and they didn't want me to have to

Not worth the time. 5 hours total. Boo! Sad rather eat pizza then work. The staff does realize that they are here for us not just a paycheck? Either hire more responsible people or staff more people to chat with each other while people wait to (ahem) Donate!

It's ok , if they paid more I'd go More.. Illinois pays alot better than san marcos texas... new machines take longer than the old one's... gas prices rising constantly just isn't worth it.

The staff are welcoming and very accommodating. I was mistakenly called for an offer of extra compensation for my next donation, even though I was not a new donor. After I had not been credited the promotional value, I explained my situation and they gave me the full payment even though I was not technically qualified for the bonus.

So disappointed as I left today, it was a struggle at every step of the process for me. First off, very nice staff but perhaps should be more attentive. I spent 3 hours going through the process to donate only to be told in the last step that I don't weigh enough. I'm petite and 5?0, someone should?ve asked my weight at the beginning. I rushed out in tears after how long it took them to deny me. boo

Don't waste your time here most of the staff are rude I called 2 times and was put on hold for 10 minuets the first time when I was just calling to see if I could come in again tho week, anyway I get there they make a big deal about a small mark on my arm saying it was a cut (it wasn't it was crease in my arm from riding my back.) after that get done leave just to find out they are having a problem with the company they do there cards with so my money wasn't on my card. I tried to call them about this 18 ti

The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially to new donors or those with a lot of safety questions about the process. Very professional environment, but the laid back nature of those working here gives a comforting feeling of safety and ease.

It's not bad but there's room for improvement. The check in is the worst part because of the time it takes. There should be a way to make it faster for returning donors. You answer the same 58 questions every time but there should be a way to speed up this process. Also the pay amounts should better and one single amount instead of alternating between two amounts.

They are very nice and helpful. They made sure that I understood what they were doing and what I needed to do to stay healthy. The staff was very nice and helpful. Leslie made me feel like I was a good friend already.

It's okay. The most annoying thing are those 58 questions at the beginning, I wish there was a way to answer them faster. The employees are hit or miss, some are very friendly some are rude af (it's been a while since I've dealt with someone rude although I just had recently stop going in again b/c of my bad experiences in November and I tried going again in December and I ended up not seeing the medical people after waiting a good 30 plus minutes when it was not busy, I had to go see them bc I answered a

Most of the employees are rude and don't view you as a human being. I mean I understand it's a crummy job but cmon I don't want to be there as much as you do. The new setup they have is dumb and takes longer. Most the employees sit around doing nothing. Still easy money though.

Everyone that I have encountered at BPL has been very nice. All seem to genuinely have the donors? best interests at heart. They have the whole donation process down to an efficient science, from new donors to payout. The only complaint I have is that they do not explain the bonuses well. As a fairly new donor I have missed out on several bonuses because the person I originally asked was incorrect or because we are handed a bingo card and not told how to use it until a couple of donations later.

Train wreck. Aside from the fact its almost impossible to get a straight answer on the pay rates. Last time I went I waited an hour and ten minutes before walking out. Thats not lobby time or the secomd saiting area. That was me on the chair next to a machine waiting for them to insert the needle and start the machine. Watched them unhook atleast 6 finished clients while waiting to start mine.

I Love this Place!!!! the staff are like family i Love Vanessa she is the Best and Leslie and Memory are fun yall are why i keep coming back thank You!!!

Been coming here since it was BPL and even though it's a different company and there have been some changes, the thing that's stayed the same has been having a great staff. So friendly and often funny helps the time donating fly by!

Rude and inattentive staff. I came in and one woman with braided hair was checking in customers, answering phones, and answering customer questions at the help desk. Meanwhile two female attendents talked about their day in one of the check in booths, while customers waited. One customer approached the empty booth and the attended SHOOD HIM AWAY, with her hand, and didn't even say anything.

Takes way longer than it used to. Check in process is overly slow and pray you don't get Santiago when you do check in. He's slower than everyone else and is the only person who ever made me do a retest. Then he set the timer and forgot I was waiting so I was behind several other people I should have been in front of.

The staff is ALWAYS friendly and professional, they make sure your comfortable! The staff is also very knowledgeable they answer all my questions with confidence which always make my feel at ease. The only thing is they should let u kno that after ur initial 5/$60 is OVER it drops DRAMATICALLY! HOWEVER u can Still earn NEAR $300.00 per. mo..

I have been giving plasma since the beginning of July. The staff are always friendly & I am in & out in less than 1 hour (drink plenty of water-it takes less time that way). Expect the first visit to take longer- you watch a video & are given a physical. Great way to grab some spending money for extras each week.

The staff here are friendly and always very helpful they are as quick as can be. The processes is easy with their app to make an appointment.

The staff at BPL seem nice, but lack the ability to be sincere or considerate of donors? time and energy. A lot has changed since my first visit in 2014, but much of the process still takes way too long, considering that patients are expected to be well fed and hydrated before donation. One would need to block off 2-4 hours for a single donation because of the persistent problems and disorganization of the staff when conflict arises. When a donor asks ?why?, staff response is usually ?I don't know? or ?wait

I just donated for my first time ever. It took a couple of hours before I could actually donate, but they do give you a physical, watch an educational video and make sure you are a proper candidate for donations. The staff was very friendly and efficent. They hit my vein on the first try, gave me a goody bag full of tasty treats, a MasterCard with the $$ incentive and I was on my way. The actual donation of plasma took a little over an hour, but be prepared to be there for a couple of hours especially if yo

I had only one visit here, and I'm considering never coming back. I tried calling multiple times before, with no answer EVERY TIME, which confuses me because there was a lot of staff members that could?ve answered a phone call. Me and my boyfriend signed in immediately upon arrival and waited for about 20 minutes and no one had even looked at the sign in sheet. We brought it to their attention and they started the paperwork process. When it was time for the physical, the person performing my ?physical? aske

I never gave plasma until recently, and the experience of becoming a regular donor has been a good one thanks to BPL San Marcos. The facility is orderly and sanitary, and all the workers are just great. They know a lot of the donors by first name, and they have a friendly conversation with each person they work with. While I am donating, I enjoy observing the team of workers bc they work so well and efficiently together. They really enjoy their job and their friendships. They are all about the same age as

This place is horrible. I have come here for years and just watched it go down hill. Horrible service and the wait time is atrocious. They seem to always be understaffed to the point that even the employees don't seem to want to be here. The prices are ok but if you can find another location to donate at, I would recommend trying somewhere else.

The wait time to be screened and then brought to the donor floor is atrocious but improving. You can get skipped if you don't pay attention because they surely do not. Starting at the new year, they'll require appointments that should help the wait time. The pay is a lot lower than others I've been to. 140 lbs+ $25 for first, $30 for second. I never received the referral bonus which is lowest at $15 vs $100. Most of the staff isn't friendly at all and makes me feel like blood cattle. The parking consists of

Every staff member I have met & talked with has been polite, curtious, seems caring & professional. They always ask if I need anything, how am I feeling & overall we have short, but kind conversations. Thank you, BPL!

Once I'm sitting in the chair to donate my plasma, it goes smoothly. Up until this point, however, it's a never ending wait. You have to wait for everything, and a few employees are friendly. The remaining have zero customer service skills.

Over all it's ok. I only donate bc I need the money. It usually takes me 30 mins to donate but I've had a hard time finding someone who can correctly stick me. And service is incrediblly slow.

I am RH negative. When I was pregnant with my child I became sensitized and have Anti-C and Anti-D antibodies in my blood. My first visit I made that clear and talked to the medical supervisor twice to make sure this was okay. Both times she assured me she looked it up and it would be fine. The second time I went they had issues with my account on the computer which I understand is out of their control. Again, I brought up my antibodies with a different medical supervisor and he said that was not the proble

This place is terrible. I went one day, waited an hour to be told that the machines werent working and I needed to come back another day. Went back the next day with my boyfriend at 7:30am because the staff had told me that it would not be busy then. We got there, signed in and started waiting. I got called for a screening after about an hour of waiting. My boyfriend was never called, went up to the counter multiple times and asked why he hadnt been called yet. They said he was next but he was not and they

I am writing this review to express my utmost disappointment and concern regarding the experience my fianc? had at Grifols Plasma. It is with great dismay that I recount the incident that occurred during his plasma donation, which resulted in a painful hematoma on his arm. Firstly, the staff at Grifols Plasma showed a complete lack of professionalism and competence. The technician performing the procedure was inexperienced and careless. Despite my fianc? expressing discomfort during the needle insertion,

Returning donors should not have to wait behind new donors with medical evaluations. When you have a simple medication check that takes two minutes , you should go to the front of the line. This is the third time I've waited over an hour for something that takes 2 minutes. Not happy.

Super chill, very friendly staff. In and out in like 45 mins, if it's non peak and you're hydrated. Unless you're a new donor, new donors take a couple of hours, after that, you're good. They also offer a lot of deals.

Been donating here for a good while now with no issues or complaints. Staff is always really awesome!

If it wasn't for the high donation amounts I wouldn't be coming here. The people are unprofessional and all kids. Please ask for Amanda if you're afraid of your nurse not knowing what they're doing, she is good. But Please go to BioLife in universal city. All around better staff.

Unfortunate that I am leaving this message since there are good phebs and screeners, but overall Biomat San Marcos is a careless establishment within the Grifols web. Previously had to sit out 52 days due to a phlebotomist error, and now I've had a poor wrap (post donation) which led to bleeding all over my clothes. Walked back in to have it re-wrapped and was simply asked to stand in front of other donors while I waited (while I am still bleeding). New trainee was nice enough to wrap me up but hardly got a

Terran did amazing on my blood draw, first time ever someone found the vain and inserted the needle in one go. Its near impossible to locate my vains because theyre so deep, thin, and they roll. Man has magic hands and is a god, payed close attention to the machine and adjusted the speed and pressure to fit my veins due to the fact my veins do get stressed out easily, for the first time I successfully completed a whole donor cycle because of his talent and finesse. Love this place a lot, but gotta shout out

Have donated plasma in this building for a few years and feel that the current crew is really there to help. A very quick process all around. Joanna is always very helpful and pleasant. They are all great and would recommend trying it out if you're interested in getting paid to save lives.

Staff is really nice, teran is really awesome at what he does, he's always my request. Overall clean and quick most days.

Have had a great experience with BPL Plasma. I have been layed off from work for a number of months. I was able to make additional money during unemployment period and hopefully help out during period. I was a fortunate with my financial situation but I know that it has helped out others with their bills.

Don't bother donating if you're worried about your arm ending up like mine (I'm sure they have some way to keep all 4 pictures of it from showing how bad it got), or if you expect them to take responsibility for the huge medical bill following the treatment. They clearly tapped into something they shouldn't have, causing blood to continue seeping out and getting as dark as it did in a matter of days. Following the treatment I had a huge medical bill I couldn't handle, and I was told if I brought the paperwo

If I could give a lower rating, I would. Very unorganized staff. Spent 5 hours on my first visit, but was not able to donate for I had to go home and cook dinner. Returned the next day and waited 4 hours just to be told I couldn't donate until I was cleared by my doctor. Very horrible experience and I hope that others will see this before they go. It is also in a very sketchy location and looks as though it used to be a mechanic's shop.

I come every Tuesday and Thursday and enjoy the staff here. They are really friendly and understanding. From front staff to back off house staff, I enjoy my time while I donate here

The staff is amazing! They work hard to keep donors organized and they try their best to not make the donation experience too long.

Employees are always so nice and courteous. Been coming here for quite some time now. And always gets better each time I come.

Everytime i come to bpl the staff is so friendly and very interested in the donors which makes things more comfortable for new donors . Although my judas has left I still return faithfully to them lol . Would definitely recommend it to person looking to make a few extra bucks and also help others out . BPL ROCKS !!!!

I've donated plasma numerous times over the years. Initial enrollment usually takes 2 hours max, 3 hours is relatively unheard of..... I've literally been sitting here for 4 hours and have YET to get my physical and start my donation. There have literally been only 2 people waiting ahead of me. There's virtually nobody here, it's not busy, and all the staff is behind the desk gossiping. The girl (I doubt any employee is older than 21) behind the counter said it could take up to 5 hours?! If you eat an hour b

Great staff. Facility is always clean. Usually the same friendly faces. Lesley is the best by the way and Chase, and the super sweet red head. Very profesional!, ALL of them. If it's your first time.., gonn make sure you clear an afternoon. Just policy. Regalations. Some video watching , health check in.. stuff like that. Could take 3-4 hours. Free wifi tho. OTHER then that. . You get to take home a couple bucks and a cool arm bandage thing. BPL saves lives., with our help of course. ;)

Everyone at the center is incredibly kind and fun to talk to. Kim gave me helpful advice for my next donation and how to better prepare for a donation the next day. Very impressed with everyone here and plan to donate regularly here!

Takes way longer than it should take. They're constantly short staffed so it makes it almost not worth it waiting that long just to donate. BioLife just opened a center in Kyle, would recommend you going there if you don't feel like waiting all day.

Great friendly staff and clean place. They do a good job of making it a quick visit

This place is a huge disappointment. I have problems every single time I try to donate. Every thing from not being paid, not being allowed to donate, staff being rude and seriously improper had happened to me. I have donated my plasma without fail and without issues since I was 18 I am now in my 30s. BPL in San marcos is by far the worst experience I've ever had with donating my plasma. If corporate sees this which I hope they do, please fix the issues with this center.

Everyone here is extremely nice and it is very clean always a pleasant experience however you can't ever get out of here in under two hours even if your donation only takes 30 minutes

This is by far the best plasma donation center I have been to. Staff are amazing and services are sanitary and smooth. Highly recommend!

My Fianc? was going in to donate plasma and I went inside with him and they were being very disrespectful and told me I wasn't aloud to wait inside for him when another lady told me I could sit inside and wait for him, and it's way to hot to be sitting outside in the heat for hours. My overall experience so far not so good, I wouldn't ever donate to these people.

Waited for 4 hours to donate and went though the whole process only to be denied because of a previous heart problem, that has been cleared for 9 years and has never been an issue before. I've donated 5 times and have never had this problem. This was the worst service I ha sever received.

Deanna and kaitlyn were great. Kaitlyn did a wonderful job and paid attention to everything she was doing. Deanna is her trainer and followed up by asking and making sure everything was going good.

New Donors Bonus use password: Gallegos5163 I believe this place is well organized the staff is very friendly the process doesn't take that long and always bring your phone helps pass the time away donations for me only take about 40 minutes check in maybe 10 minutes it's a great place and easy money for just an hour plus you get to help others

Kimberly, Fransisco, Bryanna, and a few others there are wonderful. Walk in and get a warm and friendly welcome. No complaints here from me. Keep up the good work guys

takes over an hour to be seen. you're lucky if they stick you right the first time. awful costumer service.

Been donating here for over a year several times they didn't pay me had to call and remind them? had a coupon for getting extra 100 for each donation they informed me the coupon wasn't valid when in fact it was? since they used the coupon two days prior for me .. now I'm getting reminders that my coupon is going to expire in 12 days .. how can my coupon not be valid but I'm still getting reminders to use it .. contacted supervisor who called me back left a message when I called him back he never responded?

So I had a hold on my account due to breaking out in hives on arm. After a physician looked at notes the hold was to be released and I could return...I called 5 days later I called to be sure hold was removed. I got a call back and was told hold was removed from account and I could come back to donate.....I come in 2 days after that a d the hold was NOT removed!!!!! So now I sit here and WAIT till someone can find out what is going on! So not happy when an employee doesnt follow through with said actions!

I waited over 3 hours only to be told I can't donate due to having Hashimotos Disease. It was not on the list of disqualifying conditions. The medical questions should be the first thing they do when you walk in.

Apparantely it takes them 2-3 weeks to process blood samples and this has to be done every 4 months by law, so you do the math. Even if you donate regularly that's still one out of four months that you're going miss out on bonuses. So not only do they kick you down less than 2 percent per donation of what they make they also use the absolutely slowest, cheapest blood processing that I've ever heard of and I've worked as a lab technician for over a year. They just got a popcorn machine, though! I guess they'

I was so nervous and I really don't know why bc needles do not bother me but I was. Maybe bc I've never donated, idk. The ladies that hooked me up and disconnected me were amazing! I never expected to be treated so well. Ms.Anjel is a doll and I really appreciate her. I could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you

This morning I was told I could NOT donate after DONATING 3 years DONATING 8WEEKS a month. I asked why? Because I had told the Medical Director ( who is younger than my 30yr old daughter) I couldn't remember if I was in Germany in 1985-1992 or was it longer. Then she told me she was sorry, but I had to GO. Now because she had pickup ALL of quarts of plasma, since I wasn't good for them. Dont go if from out of town but work in San Marcos, they will waste your entire morning, went in with 3 forms of ID showed them and was told i needed to eat more then what i had earlier... come back after i ate, watch the long video and read entire binder to then find out i was unable to donate because there is a 45 mile limit, which they could have told me first... Well i work in San Marcos its more convenient for me and id rather donate here then off W.W. White Rd if anyone familiar with SA youll understa

BPL Plasma San Marcos gave me an amazing first experience to donating plasma. I hate needles, so I was a little nervous for my first time, but the phlebotomist who stuck me was very reassuring. Easy way to get extra money!

Thanks for your help and professionalism. The staff at BPL are very courteous and respectful I'm definitely glad I went through the process of donating am making a difference in other people's lives.

This place is great for extra money you need and an amazing way to help others, Jessica and Daniel(Tony) are very experienced and my favorite so far, while the rest of the staff is also very professional.

This is a good place to go to get extra cash however, some of the staff could use an attitude check and ever since the text message bonus coupons have changed it is rarely worth while. Inconveniences are abundant.

Super slow back staff... Move like no one has a life outside dontating... Wasn't like that a couple of years ago...do not recommend if you don't have at least 2 hours to waste..

Who would have thought a blood bank would be so anti-gun... excuse me if I have to make special arrangements just to donate plasma and / or blood. Posted 30.06 AND 30.07 at the time of this review. I saw the posting as I was out and about, thought hey I feel like donating.. oops.. what's this? I have to leave my handgun in my car because of what? Snowflakes? Risk getting it stolen from my car? Or what have to go back home out of my way? Nope you lost a donation. There are other places not posted that I can

Too many stipulations to donate. I'm a young, healthy, humanitarian but couldn't donate because I've recently gotten a tattoo. I was tattooed in a certified shop by a licensed tattooer. If companies don't rid themselves of these outdated and prejudiced practices they'll never succeed at saving lives. That is, if saving lives is their actual goal.

The absolute worse place to donate don't waste your time here. Unless you have hours to sit around to be forgotten about and wait around for them to fix what another worker messed up on or be poked wrong bc they literally have inexperienced and careless people working there with not enough training,I could go on and on and to top it off the place is a joke with dirty ass portal potties outside for customers!!!! Can't wait for the new plasma center in san marcos to open up to shut this circus down!!!

Overall staff is adequately friendly and quick to establish a donor and employee friendship greeted and acknowledge upon entering the building overall quiet and calm atmosphere, Thanks BPL........

I like knowing that I can give to those in need and at the same time feel welcome by the staff and managers at BPL. I'm always happy when I leave. You guys are awesome thank you!!!!!

Phlebotomist are very friendly they make you feel right at home and remember your name each time you come in. management not so much. Keep lowering the pay outs while selling the plasma at exuberant amounts.

My experience was amazing. I love how they make sure everyone can donate. I especially love the people in medical and on the donor floor. They are super nice

It's amazing! The people are nice and the atmosphere is great. I always have a good experience when I go there

They never answered there phones

Don't bother going here if your an ex smoker. The so called doctor here said she couldn't approve me as a new donor unless i went to my own doctor to get clearance because of some whizzing in my lungs that I've had for years. So I have to pay to donate I don't think so.

It can be a slow process but staff is generally fun and kind. They keep the environment positive and that makes the visit a lot easier

I come here or a regular basis and love everything about this exact center. The people that work here are kind, know what there doing... great energy to be around.

I enjoy every visit here. Staff is professional and knowledgeable. Always welcoming. Thank yall for a great experience!!!

fun and friendly staff. I feel like I'm always in good hands. plus the raffles abd constant incentives are great too.

A lot of these reviews seem to describe the service as very rude and slow. It did take awhile to complete the physical/precedure but the people were very kind and helpful.

Not a bad place only bad thing is $30 , I generally feel like everyone should get 100 every time , I say this because there be times where the employees mess up your arm leaving bruises

I'm fairly new to donating here at BPL but the staff is super friendly and i?ve become friends with some, Tuesday and Thursday?s are my favorite because i see their beautiful faces ??

I called and they said if I was there by 4 they could take me. Drive 40 mins only to be told no more donors for the day. Trash.

Would love to donate plasma but I have been there 3 times. They have a hiring sign and they really do need the help. The people that I have met so far are very nice.

Me and my roommate went to donate today and they took some samples of my blood but the first poke hurt and the person kept having to move the needle around which hurt more and to find out the staff said i was being dramatic never had worse customer service in my life don't plan on coming back

Excellent Staffing, quick process from beginning to end. They occasionally offer bonus opportunities as a return donor.

The people are very friendly and helpful. They do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

This is the best place to donate plasma. All of the employees are so welcoming and friendly and make the donation process smooth and seamless. I look forward to donating twice a week

Great staff, takes a little long to donate I recommend they should pay more and do more bonuses After all we're saving lifes and they're Turning it around and selling it

HI THERE GOING TO BPL. HAS BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE THE STAFF. THERE HAS BEEN GREAT WORKERS THEY ALWAYS SMILING AND GREETING PEOPLE WHO GO THERE I LIKE GOING TO BPL AS LONG AS I CAN AND I WILL RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. TO DONATE TO BOL THANK YU

Great service fast and easy! Wait time is slim to none! Thanks for all the hard work y?all do!

I have been donating at the San Marcos facility for nearly three years and have had nothing but good experiences. It's a good way to make a little money that helps someone else who needs it.

Professionally run and disciplined operation. Very detailed about the individual's medical history and ANY open sores even as small as a mosquito bite. They also help in monitoring your eating habits if your plasma is a bit 'cloudy'. If it's TOO cloudy, you are not allowed to donate because of the high fat concentrate

Been donating here for years. Best customer service out of any place I've donated

Great place and friendly staff. Wait can be a little long but not too bad. Go early in the morning

Quick and courteous all employees are very nice and friendly. Overall have had good experience

I have been donating for a few years and find my experience with the facility and its employees very efficient ,friendly, respectful and patient..the place is clean always..I highly recommend BPL Plasma in San Marco's off of Hwy.35.

Takes way too long, need to hire more medical screening people and phlebotomists. Only had one screening booth open and a long line of people. Waited 30 minutes to get stuck.

This is a great place for some extra cash, the staff is friendly and they try their best to get you in and out as quick as possible.

I come twice a week and have been treated very well. Thank you

They have outstanding service. The staff is friendly. And professional i recommend them to everyone.

Love this place weather i really need the money or just wanna have lil extra chash thy r great Jojo Chris Maggie always nice make me laugh lots of others there i love just cant think of name right now.. Thanks guys happy holidays

I love every one that works there they are so awesome my experience is wonderful I have been donating at bpl plasma San Marcos for 5 years and I still love it

I have always enjoyed coming to donate, they make the experience enjoyable and always make me feel comfortable

The wait it's super crazy be prepared to wait 3 hours to get to the donation bed and another 3 hours for the process. Total time 6 hours. So I think it's not worth the time.

Y'all get a score of a 1 star just for the fact I'm still traumatized from your staff almost killing me a few years ago. I literally almost died at BPL Plasma! Please everyone go elsewhere and not here please.

Have attempted to donate plasma 4 times and every time I get the same response ?we aren't taking new donors due to low staffing?. Completely changed my mind about wanting to donate plasma now.

This place is fast, has nice staff and gives good payouts. I'd recommend to anyone

Showed up right when they opened, waited over 2 hours and was not even called for the physical. I was told after the first hour that I was next in line and was still never called. Huge waste of time.

This is the most fastest, friendly, and greatest place to donate plasma in San Marcos, Texas. You also get paid for doing it by Bank of American.

Great staff, always a quick process to get in and out and everybody is very friendly and helpful.

Friendly helpful informative staff. Facility is clean. Strongly recommend and use me as a reference

Sometimes its 50/50 get here early and it goes quick. Be sure to be hydrated with water it makes donating faster and make sure you replinish after.

Longs waits for medical, which you have to visit every time you donate if you have donated at another center within 2 months. The rates they give are resonable and they have bonuses for high frequency donations.

I go to Austin Bpl now because I was so uncomfortable from the cunning employees. They succeeded in getting me to stop going there, that's for sure.

Great day at bpl today as are most days:)!!! The vibe is always good and sticking is efficient, I feel like I'm in good hands.

they let you sit for an extra 30 mins wit a needle in ur arm

Matt was awesome!! And mama red made everything feel comfortable! 5star!!!

I love to help others.Great place to go.everyone makes you feel comfortable. An you in an out in reasonable time

I've been calling and coming in trying to get a form sent to my dr for weeks now and even though people have said they will do it, it still has not been sent. I'm not happy with the customer service

The staff was very fast

I like the people that work here. They know what there doing a nice. I recommend this exact center.

Great customer service, they will get you in as soon as they can.

Julie was very kind and easy to talk to. She made the donation all the more comfortable.

I tried to go in to get some extra money cause I'm broke, but they tried to give me 20 bucks, and it's not worth that all the pain from them not sticking the needle in right, it continuing to bleed even after the 2 hours they said it would stop , and the nurses acting like ducks from hell.

Great customer service and super friendly great atmosphere to donate.

Fast and easy ?? drink b4 u go and eats something I be eats like 5 eggs one time I did not eats and I got hungry and I did not drink water that much out if 5 cops I drink and I got light headed so eats and drink is a must

Don't go back

Every time I go, they get me in fast and the service is great. Everyone is always kind.

Very fast and friendly. Quick to make donation process easy.

Not happy this is my 7th donation for this month and their only given me $30. I came back here because they said their rates went up and they were doing things differently...nope

Most horrible experience I've ever had took a long time to get on the floor got there at 6:45 didn't leave the floor until 9:05 didn't receive the money in the first hour very horrible n the employee lik to b childish n mispronounce names on purpose repetitively.i don't think I'll ever return

slowly attempting to become a millionaire here. i really enjoy the girlies in the front, and the many others that make me snort while laughing

I lost my ID in this place, and I call to see if they have seen it or set it aside for me. The lady answers, places me on hold for a few seconds and says there is nothing she can do. Dumb dumb dumb!

Super easy to get started and and and doesn't take long after you're set up

Biomat USA staff does an amazing job of making me feel comfortable throughout the entire process.

Great staff. Very friendly and the donation process is MUCH faster now..

Quick an easy service and a great staff ??coming back

Great friendly people who love there job. They make everone feel special .

Friendly staff and less wait time than ever! Positive experience for sure!

Made we wait in the medical line when there is nothing wrong with me. Also I got skipped in the line by the black lady at the front counter she let someone skip me in line

Fast service and friendly people and I love the flow of the process very easy and steady

Been going here for 5 years the staff are super friendly and they all know me
