Biggest issue is they really need to let go of the couple people or so that really do not care about their job. And I'm pretty certain they know who. I'm sure there's been enough complaints. Same person multiple times has always been extremely rough when jabbing my arm to the point of causing bruising and always missing and have to do both arms. They're going to cause damage one day and won't care. Gave had to wait by front desk for awhile while people talk and get ignored. Otherwise could be better. Why it
Kind of hard to give this place a fair rating. People are generally great with the exception of a few who do occasionally have a bit of an attitude. But more importantly, it's poorly managed. Always long lines and an utter lack of urgency. The main urgency observed is to immediately lock the doors at closing to make sure that no donor comes in late. The lack of urgency and the disorganization reduces their commitment to providing a great donor experience to mere lip service. It ruins the entire experience w
The one star is even generous. The lines are impossible. Prepare to wait at LEAST 2 hours. The staff just mingle amongst each other all the time. They don't even do their job. Most of the staff is overweight and they move slow as hell and have no type of stamina. It's sad. Hiring a better staff that actually want to do their job. And you guys need to fire the big girl with the red hair IMMEDIATELY. She's here just for fun.
Errica is always amazing! She always makes sure I'm doing well and everything runs smoothly. Love Shy too! They both take such good care of me when I'm there and always ask for them!
Place isn't bad, the lines are just awful. Doesn't matter when you come, they'll make sure you're not out by at least an hour or 2. Which is annoying and pisses me off. Employees just sit around and talk, while having donors wait an hour or so, for whatever conversations they're having to end. Most employees can't stick you right and my arm always ends up hurting like crazy. Some employees have attitudes, for what? I don't know or care, but doesn't make my donating experience good. Quick to defer you, for w
Worst center unprofessional all employees curse alot and was the final straw today was told a100 then I get done they give me 50 for weighing what they say is 168 when i was 169 and corp even confirmed that on the phone for the 100 straight bullshit will never donate here again. Yes I called corp already after that experience. Was told I have to wait for a manager to contact me an that I intact was due to get the 100 dollars today not the 50 they gave.
Toya, Errica, and Asia are always fun to chat with when donating and in line for a health screening. Ed is always kind during health screenings too, the only negative thing I have ever experienced is the long wait times, hence the star deduction.
Shy and Ari are perfect didn't feel none at all w the original poke had to adjust cause I kept no flowing same thing
This place is horrible I've tried to come with my bf and every time we come they tell us come the next day but don't come in as soon as we open then today she had an attitude with my bf saying why do you want to get your blood drawn like isn't the whole point of going through is to donate blood for people in need I'm very disappointed all the workers have attitudes every time we come I hope they can get new workers and new managers in this place?
Cat and Toya always do a great job! They run the floor so effectively and efficiently. They are very personable and always make me feel so special when I come to donate. Great job Ladies! I could not forget to mention how wonderful and caring Ed is too! I always look forward to seeing and visiting with him. He is so conscientious and thorough and does a great job! I could never forget to mention Ed!
I don't smoke or drink, don't do drugs or anything like that(never have). There is no problems when I see the nurses & I feel as calm as can be but almost always get deferred for a high heart rate. My question is why have ppl stand for upwards of 15 mins instead of give seats when I'm sure you guys already know standing can raise heart rate 10-20 bpm. It's like you guys want ppl deferred or on the cusp of it. **Disclaimer: this isn't towards this faculty nor its workers you guys are always a pleasure, it's
It was my first time going and the whole staff was a vibe. The energy was top notch. Bridget was a life saver and was very helpful with everything. She walked me through the whole process and very knowledgeable about everything. I love donating and I'll be donating again.
Had a wonderful experience at this facility. Had great conversations and customer service with both Asia and Bridget. Both of these ladies made my first time easy and helped me with my initial nerves.
I have been donating for almost a year consistently twice a week. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Shyleyna is one of many tech that is very professional and helpful. Because of this, I am comfortable on returning with no worries when I donate.
Highly recommend this facility. The staff is well trained and always friendly. Yasmin is one of the most professional and friendliest phlebotomy specialists. She is very good at her job.
Alvin is awesome. Cat is awesome. Hell, everyone is really Awesome here. Woohoo going back next week
The workers are kind and friendly but I wish they conducted themselves more professionally. On my first visit a worker was gossiping to me about another patient and went as far as to pull up their profile on the screen and show me the patients photo with their full legal name/information (that's gotta be against some kind of HIPPA law?). On my second visit my medical examiner had to ask her colleagues some questions regarding my sexual history. She left my door open when she left and I heard their comments
Great people, Yasmin is top class. Everyone is but she handled me as a new returning doner and has exemplified excellent care and hospitality. Great group of people at CSL 292.
A wonderful facility! Always clean, friendly, and efficient. The phlebotomists are all excellent! Cat, Yasmin, Toya, and Miss D keep things light and professional. I highly recommend taking the time to check out the Normal, IL CSL Plasma #292. You'll be doing good for others and earning additional income.
I have been a Csl member for almost 2 years. Love the personal interaction I receive from your staff. Especially Kat and Mark! I feel very comfortable interacting with everyone but am most confident being "stuck" from both these phlebotomists. The center is always clean and professional! Chuck always remembers me upon arriving and greets me with a "Hi! " Welcome Back "I recommend this center to every friend I know. Keep up the good work!
The employees are nice but they are frequently understaffed and no one has a sense of urgency. I'd say my average wait time is 60-90 minutes. There are no chairs so you have to stand the entire time. It's uncommon to have more than 1 person doing check in. No reservations and the red light yellow light green light system on the app is not based in reality. Today said 2:00 was green. I got here at 2:00 and 65 minutes later I'm still in line to get stuck. Don't know what the people in the office are doing but
Been donating here at CSL in Normal for about two and a half years and overall my experience has been the same for the entire time. Alvin in particular has been there for quite some time and is able to stick me without me even feeling it which is definitely a plus in my book.
I came in as a first time donor yesterday late morning and they got me checked in promptly and if i hadn't been having a hot flash I would have moved onto the donor floor quickly. Everyone was professional and kind. Remember, it's not the destination that matters, it's the journey. So stop rushing, stop being rude. Take these other reviews with a grain of salt ;)
Shy did a wonderful job. Really sweet told me i f i need anything just ask. Checked up on me multiple times. Easy to talk to as well very good energy!!
Donation experience from Dec 7: I'm waiting next in line to donate, there's 4 people behind me, there's 7 phlebotomist in the donating area, and 3 of them are just standing around with 4 beds open... why are you guys making people wait any longer than they should? 1 of the phlebotomist with dark curly hair just kept looking back at me and the line smiling 3 times. That's creepy and un-called for! Is this normal employee behavior? I have to wait another 10-15 minutes until you guys want a big group in line
Staff is always very friendly and considerate. I've always had a positive experience here. Easy way to make extra money and help others.
I've donated 140+ times and would consider myself an expert. Many reviews are negative and I understand donor?s concerns and issues. Best is to not be in a hurry or get angry. Trial and error for the best times for short or no lines. When the colleges are in session coming on a Thursday after 3 is nuts. There's a mix of great employees and a few &:?@$: It's free money and I recommend donating.
Bridget was so nice and efficient! She made my visit so much more comfortable even though I was nervous and she was the highlight of my trip. Thanks!
Contrary to most opinions and reviews on here! This place is wonderful. Everything about it,from the staff,to the cleanliness, to the professionalism. I usually don't participate in reviews or surveys. However, after reading all the negatives on here. I felt I owed it to CSL to enter my review/rating. Staff here is absolutely AMAZING. Yes,sometimes donations take a little longer than others. However, you are WELL compensated for your time and efforts. Furthermore right now,it's hard for several businesses
I would rather you make this your home spot for donation because the service is so wonderful with the professionalism of the staff but also the greetings into such a clean facility...I wouldn't go anywhere else so when u come just approached the 1st person you see because their all on top of their game ..Recommend Shy& also Alvin but not to say that they are the only ones but that's who I was dealing with plus made me feel so comfortable
The only reason I come to CSL PLASMA is due to who Alvin Johnson, and London Johnson. They both have made donating a comfortable experience but also an educational one. Not just for me, for every donor that comes in that building. These two are great assets to you guys company. As long as their in this building csl plasma has a donor in me.
The start up process was a little long but painless . I have a long history of being a hard stick. The young man that was assigned to get me going was fantastic! One stick and no fishing. He was just amazing. Going back and hopefully will get him again.
Shy took care of me and made sure my donation process was smooth and comfortable. Shy has a great sense of humor and my visit a great one.
Donating plasma can be very intimidating for a number of reasons, but phlebotomist Yas makes it a stress-free, inviting, and often fun place to be. She's a true gem of a human and an extremely valuable member of the CSL team. So glad she works there, takes such good care of me, and that I can even call her a friend. Thanks Yas!
The staff was so friendly and helpful! Linda, the nurse, was exceptionally caring and nice! Mark did an amazing job with my donation and his fellow nurses came around and regularly checked on me while I was donating and helped me have a very great first experience! The whole staff is amazing here!!
Ms. Shyleyna and Mr. Alven are not only friendly but also highly skilled. They're always upbeat and make donating a positive experience!!! Thank you both greatly!
I had a great time they were very nice and Professional and Down to Earth Especially Shyleyna she was dope very nice and made sure I knew what was going on thru the entire Process
I was a bit nervous to go to CSL for my first time this week when I read all the reviews, but I had a really good experience. Besides seeing many donors (not employees) not wearing masks, the staff was very professional and considerate during my entire visit. The nurse was efficient and thorough, the staff on the donor floor were patient and careful, and the new donor process took half the time that it took at Talecris. Someone called me the next day to make sure I was feeling well and to thank me for the d
Overall very clean, (as well as bathrooms), well lit, friendly staff, snack table for donors, immediate pay to CSL debit card. A far cry from the CSL in Decatur, IL! The lack of 5 stars is ONLY due to MY perception of a lack of urgency among staff on the donor floor. I'd give 4.5 stars if that were an option... Recently I waited appx 30 minutes to be hooked to the machine without so much as an acknowledgement as to my long wait or an apology for the delay. I often wait 5-10- minutes or so which is under
Yasmin and Cat have been outstanding during my donations! This happens every time i donate , with either of them! CSL should be proud!
Warm and welcoming place. Ever since I've walked through those doors the people there have treated me like one of their own. I am an avid CSL plasma donor and have donated at 4 different locations and this one blows the rest outta the water!!! These people poke like butter and are always smiling 10/10 recommend CSL plasma !!!!
I have never had a bad experience at this facility. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Cat, London, Chuck, Alvin & Linda have all been especially helpful & friendly. The only downside to donating is the long wait sometimes but I think you'll run into that at any plasma donation facility.
Never even donated here my boyfriend has and they bruised him up real bad to were they said he couldn't come back till it was healed but I've been calling to see if it's safe to donate while being a breastfeeding mom and first time they answered she said okay give me a moment... you would think they would put me on hold but nah they hung up so I've called back multiple times and they just pick the phone up and hang up. Not worth your time if you're thinking of going here
Alvin is amazing every time I come to donate he's my go to for the phlebotomist to stick me. Never painful always waving and making sure I'm comfortable.
Foolish comments about what's best for the donor's to think and feel. How about figure out your business so that donor's are not waiting in a non moving line (not slow, not moving) for 20 minutes at a time. We don't need advice, we don't lectures, we need that line moving and that's what this team is supposed to be doing. If we weren't getting any money it wouldn't make any sense to come at all. If your motto is saving lives then pretend like that goal has a sense of urgency.
I am a regular at CSL plasma in Bloomington. I want to say Yas works her tail off and is an EXCELLENT sticker. I can ALWAYS count on my visit to go well when she is working. The center is lucky, very lucky , to have her!
Bridget was super sweet, attentive and personable about the whole process. Definitely need more people like her
If I could give this place negative starts I would. This place is full of drama. After three years I tried giving this place another try and I'll tell you now don't waste your time the staff is extremely unprofessional and full of drama. They say you can use your phones to search the web and watch movies but the min you find something funny and laugh it's a problem for the staff I was deferred without knowledge I was not spoken to nor giving any type of verbal communication about my phone I spoke with Jose
So a fair warning for my epileptic friends, they will pull you through the whole process until the very last part before you get to donate then tell you you have to be off your seizure medication for at least 3 years. Doesn't matter how long it's been since your last seizure. I could understand if it's on their website but their more worried about tattoos and piercings on their website. Absolutely wasted my time, don't waste yours. Everyone was nice except the so called physician who shot me down.
I have been donating plasma for over 2 years. Yasmine is an excellent phlebotomist. She is a very knowledgeable and skilled employee of CSL in Normal Il.
Worst experience ever. The nurse didn't check both of my arms and automatically assumed one was better than the other until the senior nurse came back from lunch break and saw that my other arm had a MUCH better vein. So moral of the story is I had needles stuck into both of my arms and it hurt the whole time. I had to get the needle re-adjusted 3 times due to the pinching which isn't normal. I will never do this again. The staff act super unprofessional.
They assist me through the process and I do not notice they have stuck me until I look down but at that point I am often types comforted by the conversation of the fellow donating locals
I have mega anxiety so my heart rate keeps being 100+ so I haven't donated yet due to being deferred, but everytime I go in they treat me really kindly and it helps calm the nerves a bit, WAY better than talecris was. They (minus one worker) explain every single thing they do before they do it and make everything really easy.
I do not plan to go back to this place. I went for my second visit and the person sticking me with the needle overdrew my blood. Some of the workers are unprofessional and are to focused on drama to notice that a patient had passed out during my visit. I also was misinformed regarding information that was not shared with me during my first visit.
Asia is a very friendly and energetic worker. I enjoy my visit when she works.
This place is ghetto and unprofessional! Better off selling your plasma on eBay because u would probably get more. Closed on a Monday but no sign or notice. I hate this place
Be careful going here. The workers are cold and nasty. They do not care about your health or your safety. They only care about collecting a paycheck. If you care about helping people, there are other ways. Also, don't let the allure of the money they advertise coax you into turning a blind eye to the fact that they don't care about passing germs and putting you at serious risk. Health is wealth. Do your research, this place is a sham.
TYSVM Jose (mgt) for the compensation this morning for the wait due to equipment not up and running on time. This is a GREAT example of customer service & recognizing their customers. Thank you again ??. Merry Christmas ?? to ALL the staff, for all your hard work each day (even when things are very hectic & busy). I am always greeted with a smile & personalized attention when it's my turn whether in check-in or on the floor.
Very bleak atmosphere. Most of the donators that are stressed and take it out on the staff. Their system is messy and the restrictions are high. If you just started donating, you need to donate as much as you can to get the bonus money. I wish this had been communicated. I did two donations and took a break for health concerns and when I came back a month later I found out that I missed my opportunity to receive additional money for my donation, I misses out on at least $500.
Shyleyna was very sweet and attentive. Always gets me in and out with no issues :))
i never write reviews- but this place SUCKS.i?ve been there twice in the last 24 hours and haven't been able to donate. when i arrived there this morning, i was early, and i waited a full hour before i had to leave for work, and they weren't even checking anyone in. last night i was there for hours and i still wasn't even donating yet. the service is terrible, they're sometimes so slow. if you're gonna go here, you need to plan about three hours to do it!!!
Asia is a wonderful screener always kind and energetic and treats everyone with respect makes the experience alot easier
Yasmin and Cat always do a great job. Friendly and gentle. Thank you, ladies!
I was stuck poorly, I was beeping in red several times stickers took their time to adjust my needle, the one lady just looked at me as she stood up front doing nothing. I been sitting here for almost two hours and I never take over 35-40 mins. I'm very upset and frustrated with this experience.
They have a screener by the name of Chuck that is very unprofessional. He picks n chooses when he wants to screen people. He disappears when there is a line of people waiting. He's always talking or on his phone when people are waiting to be screened. The list goes on and it's annoying and frustrating.
Great staff and friendly service. Anyelyhs helped me recently and she was very sweet!
I have been coming to CSL for over a year and today was one of those days I felt appreciated as a donor. Chuck was very professional and treated me with the upmost respect as a returning donor. Thank you!
I've almost always have good experience! The staff is friendly and gentle!
Shy is great , helps a lot and makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable
Best location I've ever been to too donate. Thanks Yasmin and the whole team
I have been donating here for years. The staff is friendly and helpful and is responsive to the needs of the donors.
Errico, Shy are A+!
I love the normal staff but on Tuesday of last week this new employee was harassing another employee in front of donors and his name is Abe and the other employee was Kelli,he just kept up downing her in front of me,not professional at all
Management is absolutely atrocious. A very greedy company that acts like they're helping people, when in reality it's all about the money. Their employees are disposable. Whoever runs this location couldn't properly run a lemonade stand.
Good way to make extra cash especially as a student. kind staff and good experience
Clean facility, very nice employees, fast in and fast out. Definitely recommend this facility over others in the area. You need to extend your hours for people who work so that way we can still donate. ?
Always making me laugh and telling it how it is. She's my favorite to see when I walk in.
Love CSL!! Alvin and Kat always make the donation experience a breeze.
Evelyn , apple , & Paige were so good And FAST when these 3 ladies are here everything goes so fast and smoothly .
Great employees and a great environment Mentoya, Alvin , Cat, luannica, Yasmin & Shy are the best
Shyleyna was very helpful with the process. Also very good at what she does.
I have been a doner for the past 2 years and the staff & facility are Awesome Sauce!!! ??
All of the staff all of the staff is phenomenal. They are kind caring careful and generally a lots of fun
Very very unprofessional... The staff is extremely detached... Opens at 8 on Sunday... Staff jus sitting around doing nothing... It's 10 mins after 8 and still not screening... They've been here at least 30mins to hr b4 opening... Yet they still not ready... Management needs to tighten up...
Shy was very attentive to my need Very polite and customer service friendly
Fredasia was the best very fast and helpful I would come here again
This is the best place in Bloomington if you want a well manner staff thanks to mark the senior whatever over there made sure I was comfortable all the way through thanks guys
Good people. I've been donating here for several months and never had a major issue. Everyone has been very helpful and accommodating.
Love this place, facility is always clean and the staff go above and beyond
Awesome staff, caring, professional and quick. From Ed at the intake desk to Abe and Alvin out on the floor.
Very clean facility friendly staff know me by name very help full
Understaffed and super slow. Spent almost two hours just waiting in line.
Very friendly and helpful. If not for the needles would be a fun place to hang out and kick it.
Shyleyna ..she is so kind ....makes you feel comfortable
Quick and simple process, doesn't take too much time. Come donate !!
Unsafe I've witnessed workers handling bodily fluids without changing their gloves and helping others. Donate at your own risk.
Looking for a little extra cash to get by ???? first timers gonna be couple hours . Physical ECT. HYDRATE IS A MUST ??
They wouldn't even try, I went in and just asked if they could TRY and find my vein but they refused. I desperately needed to pay my rent and they wouldn't even TRY
I always have a good experience. Staff are all amazing!!!
Shy and B are great at what they do!
If they were ever staffed this place would be great
Quick and easy way to save money and lives
I forgive you .as it's written in the Bible live your life in peace
So I was new donor and I was in the front of the line and. They set me up last lol but those who were last were first
Funny staff but professional. Pay is good.
Fredasia and the CSL Plasma team make the screening process a breeze!
Wasted over an hour of my time and still getting money go to any other place.
The lady in the front desk is very unprofessional and rude.
Where is this located? I went to the building and couldn't find it, is the address wrong?
Very good experience
Easy way to earn money and save lives
Thanks Bro. (Alvin)
Yasmin was great
Rude and not caring at all
Thanks guys
Awesome staff!!
Good
Friendly staff!
Cannot give this review a good place, Understaffed, Long lines, and staff seem to procrastinate, even when there are several staff on board, several of the screening lanes are always empty for some 'mysterious' reason, Do not go here if you want to wait 40+ mins to get onto the Donor Floor.
Plasma donors can get disqualified for a list of different reasons, which may result in a temporary or a permanent deferral. Common reasons people get a temporary disqualification may include being dehydrated, taking certain medications, getting a tattoo within the last 4 months, or being pregnant in the last 6 months.
Donating plasma can get busy with donors and long waiting times. To donate plasma faster, choose a plasma center that allows you to book an appointment online and take your health screening questionnaire remotely from home. Additionally, call your local plasma center and ask for the least busy days and times of the week.
Most phlebotomists recommend that you take a day off from working out or lifting weights on the same day as your plasma donation. Instead, take the day to rest, eat well, and drink plenty of water after your donation.
Plasma donors are legally capped at two donations per week or 7-day period, with at least 48 hours in between each donation.
Before your plasma donation, it's recommended that you drink plenty of water (4-6 eight-ounce glasses), and eat a meal with high protein and iron content. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking on the same day as your donation.
