Talecris Plasma Resources San Antonio, TX

Talecris Plasma Resources San Antonio, TX

Reviews Summary

The reviews show a mix of experiences, with many praising friendly, professional staff and efficient service (especially for returning donors). However, frequent complaints highlight long wait times due to understaffing, poor organization (only 1-2 windows open despite capacity), and inconsistent care (bruising, unprofessional behavior). Some donors report excellent interactions, while others face frustration with delays, inattentive staff, or rude management. Cleanliness and kindness are noted positives, but operational inefficiencies and occasional unprofessionalism drag down overall satisfaction.

Customer Reviews

It's my first time donating and everyone is very polite and respectful. Was kinda nervous but they reassured me that everything was fine. Good place 10/10

a manager from this establishment kicked me out of where I was waiting which was inside . I walked out calmly and Nicely for him to discriminate me and racial profile me . Then he again came outside and said that I slammed the door (im 6 weeks pregnant) I said sir I didn't slam your door i explained to him he didn't have to be rude especially that I was pregnant and I was told I couldn't go to the restroom inside . I believe the managers name is David ! this place is horrible

Just had the best interaction ever at the zarzamora location as a new quest , Jennifer made the process a smooth and very informative experience that i had no doubts or worries of the process. Thank you Jennifer for your patience !

Everyone is always so friendly and knowledgeable of protocols and procedures makes me feel very comfortable and confident in the staff?. Thanks guys and gals

My experience is actually great every time I go ! ?????? ?? ??The employees treat me with respect and always ask if I need anything or to let them know if something isn't feeling right. It's a really fast process, and a great atmosphere when I'm in there, and especially all the ladies- Zulema, Lulu, Bree, Marie, they know they do a great job in there as a team - They're ALL really nice and have no problems seeing them from time to time .

The tech, "Priscilla", was very professional, caring, and knows her job very eell. She did an excellent job at finding my vein and actually told me that if I pumped my hand a little stronger it would help the blood flow. And it did! This was actually the first time I've been in and out the fastest. She maintained courteousness among her coworkers, greeting the donors who were coming in. It would be nice if other places had techs with the same mentality! ????

if there was a way not to put any type of stars no disrespect to this location . Just keeping it real ???? Show me how 30 people have fast pass, but they don't even check if they have it or not. Then the lines are long for them to give you a call to get poked and at the kiosk where you have to do the questionnaire they need more kiosks with the amount of people that are going in there to donate plasma and it doesn't make no sense at all that you have to literally wait up to 3 hours just to either get cal

This place is the worst place you can go to donate, I was waiting three hours in between and I asked when it touches me, they tell me that I am on the 13th, when the center was empty, the employees just spend their time talking and wasting time, the floor full of garbage, the bathrooms are disgusting with dirty and the staff is pessimo, I do not recommend them, I have almost 8 years donating for this company, but no longer and anyone I asked there are other centers much better than this, it is not worth don

They should change their hours of operations if they don't close until 7pm but won't accept new donors/returning donors at 3pm even though they aren't busy. Drove 30 minutes just to be told no and to try coming back the next day. Would not recommend this location. Never had an issue with other locations regardless of the time.

Don't go on Tuesdays when they are slow. Been waiting 2 hours to donate, entire hallway and waiting area is full. They are calling 1 person every 20 minutes. Because they can't get employees to come to work. (I'm a return donor). One guy takes 10 minutes just to setup one station. These employees come and go they don't care about their work. Only reason I gave 2 stars because the lovely lady screening with blue hair was so kind and worked quick.

Even though the building is under construction and its super busy, and they are understaffed. The people I encountered were very courteous and professional. It was a pleasant experience. ??

Best service compared to many of plasma locations I've made donations to. Lulu and Tanya great teamwork. Hands down dream team. Great staff always friendly, always on point.

Priscilla was GREAT I am always nervous around needles but her sense of ease and professionalism made it very easy to deal with, and on top of that she gave me a very good poke and my donation went very fast, which was definitely a plus for a person like myself with a phobia of needles/shots. I will definitely be asking for her the next time I come in! Yall need to give that woman a raise she knows what she's doing and always has a positive attitude!

Great experience. Was my first time donating in awhile everything went smoothly. Going back today since the 1st time was a good experience. Love the staff there

I've donated here twice a week for a few months. Sometimes it's a smooth process and I'm out the door in about 2 hours. Majority of the time it takes 4 hours. They have everyone standing in line for an hour on the hard tile floor (no carpet no rug no padding), while they stand on carpet or padding talking and laughing. Everyone in line looks painfully upset. The front 8 or 9 people hunch over and rest their backs and feet while leaning on a ledge with their elbows. The staff is friendly and polite. They che

Bad slow express line always putting people behind. Way understaffed manger don't help at all . Take about 3 hours average time to get thru it need better management

The center is nice and clean! It's just the time they spend on get patients started. They have open triage windows and only one person triaging. I waited for an hour and half to get my vitals done and I was # 4 in line. And have been waiting for an hour just to get started for my donation.

Everyone was very nice but I do not feel like they tried very hard to get blood from me

Staff members are very friendly and courteous and professional. I appreciate the hard working individuals. I will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Please do not donate here. If you care about your health do not come here. I came to get a routine donation for the first time here and wait was normal everything was fine until I actually had to get poked and she missed my vein completely and my arm turned into a baseball. I get deferred and now I have a huge baseball sized bruise and nerve pain and I plan to seek legal action against them. This could have been avoided and It even hurts right now.

The employees are very friendly and professional. My first day as a new donor went quick and smoothly. I would definitely recommend to anyone to choose Octopharma.

It's a great place to donate. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I will keep going to this location as long as I can.

For my first time donating I can truly say this place has great hospitality and great service very clean and process really quick Thank You

I came back in as a new donor and they shuffled me in quick!! I was in and out of there in less than 2 hours!! Which was a miracle considering they were short handed! Kudos the Zarzamora team over there, they were still shuffling people in & out of there despite being short handed

Love the staff there the?re very dedicated in there work especially Precious she is so sweet and kind and does an outstanding job never had any problems . Along with Rose and Veronica ??

The technicians in front are very kind and considerate the The main manager for this facility she is very nice and very helpful the other assistance managers are also helpful as well that answering any questions or concerns the phlebotomist on the floor a very considerate always asking if I'm in pain or in discomfort or if I'm doing fine and always checking up on me even when they stick me they always make sure that I'm not in discomfort overall this is really undulcer mode on is very courteous kind and ver

In my opinion (1)The staff is great with all the reviews (2) Well clean and keept maintain (3) Real well with communication to all donors and staff (4) Well dedicated Staff and Managers (5) And with all the staff they all have a Great Sense of Humor

It was a great experience. Knowing I can help someone in need of plasma. The staff was very nice and helpful they made sure I was ok and taken care of it was a great experience and I made a middle changer as well

Been there 3 hours until sit down Need too hire more employees But employees there are great ????

I don't know if they need more employees or it because of the remodeling but the wait time was "EXTREMELY" long. Staff was over worked for sure.

I have donated plasma for over 15 years now and this is, by far, the worst place to donate. Even though there aren't many donors there, it still takes close to an hour to get screened. Then another 30 to 45 min to get called for a bed. And the girls...all they do is talk to each other on the donor floor. Smh. I came here twice thinking the first time was just a fluke. But no the 2nd time here was even worse. Don't waste your time donating here

Kyle is very good at what he does and makes me feel appreciated

Extremely friendly staff, made feel very comfortable , great experience for my first time , I definitely recommend Octapharma.

It usually takes a very long time to get to a bed and to get set up to donate. But since I've been back after New Year's its been going good. Keep up the fast pace.

They work slower and it takes longer when they have less people than a full center you still have to wait 3 to 4 hours either way so I don't go 2 days out the week just once it's a new year I think they will and can do better they still have an amazing staff keep up the great work you all you are appreciated ????

Don't bother unless you got 4 hours to kill. They're always understaffed have been for a few months now, no sense of urgency when the lines build up, only have 1 or 2 screeners, chairs will stay open for a good 20 mins before they call anyone to fill them. The staff is friendly and all but they talk too much especially when the center is backed up. Management doesn't care

Slow in comparison to the 410 location, a bit dirty and unorganized, however it was a little busy on this Sunday. I have been waiting over a half of an hour to start the process of plasmapheresis. Poor job for sure!

Place is slow as heck clear ur day because u will be there a long time and if you get in Manny pod u might as well go home he is slower than a dead snail

Wouldn't go with any other Phlebotomist than lulu or Tanya everyone else just Bruise you up.

I believe no one is perfect and with proper information most people can make an informative decision. As I am knew to plasma and I wanted to support a system a buddy works for given it was not his location as well as make a difference in others lives, this location questioned my integrity because of information I was given else where and I understood a certain way. Instead of educating and help a client, the center manager was disrespectful and undermining my lack of information mind you, they are under sta

Really social and direct with customer needs. Clean, respectable and professional

I love Alyssa, but the other staff is lazy and don't want to do their job. They just sit around and chat with each other instead not even paying attention to us donors when we're finished donating and I'm over here shaking and shivering, and there isn't enough employees in the front checking vitals, and they're slow and half ass when they check vitals. Alyssa is the best worker and she should be promoted to regional manager.

Got permanently deferred because I said the word Stew to sum1 and a staff overheard and they said that I could say the word Sue which they got me confused and they deferred me permanently they told me that word is not used in that vicinity!!! I think the director was completely wrong about what he was telling me and he told me I had an attitude which I was just like what? and he asked me if I understood and I told him no I didn't understand and he told me to leave the office!!!

Facility seems to be a tad bit stuck in time, I'd recommend versatility. It feels like racism in the air, but San Antonio is a city that is predominantly Hispanic people who originated from another country. Besides precious she was a great person, I can see why her parents named her that

Priscilla S. Was very respectful and she didn't hurt me while sticking me! Very good employee and she did such a good job

From the moment I walked in the main doctor continuously attempted to turn me away. He "accidentally" entered my info wrong multiple times trying to turn me away, saying there isn't a doctor who can do new donor even though I scheduled an appointment but when I mentioned that his attitude changed and suddenly he could help me? An endless stream of lies and having bias towards me for whatever reason he fabricated in his racist mind. He refused to help me and I will no longer be attempting to donate.

Good stuff always nice and do their best to be as fast as they can

Super slow, until they are better staffed go to other locations.

Lulu and bri are the best they deserve a raise they work perfectly as a team to get people in and out quickly as they can

I had a great experience at Octapharma Zarzamora, with David, he handled an upset donor with an outstanding customer service. He was calm as cucumber ??. He was very cool and this is the second time I see him handle the situation very calmly. M Staff on the floor are fantastic. Shout-out to Matt and Shy.

The staff is really nice and professional. They pay attention to you and are very respectful. I felt so comfortable being here! The guy that stuck the needle did it so well, I didn't feel a thing. They truly care for their donors here, thank you!

When I first started donating here it went pretty smoothly. But now I've noticed it seems to take a really long time. But just great full for the extra money it earns me.

Had a smooth disconnect today with Priscilla S. She was great had a nice wonderful smile.

Good people never have had a problem and I am not there for hours feel like I get out in good time in

Customer service is great. It was slightly packed, but moved fairly quickly. Clean and cold environment which was nice. My only complaint is that when I had donated recently, it was my first time. My card did not receive money the day I donated plasma so I returned the same day and the woman at the desk assured me the money would be in within a couple of hours. My money still wasn't in my card the next day so I went back and talked to a manager who couldn't fix it on the spot, but told me they would call me

Very fast. Hooked up by Pricilla she is very nice she made my experience very nice

Pricilla was so kind and caring. She made my experience so easy and was so gentle.

Wonderful, hard working workers, great customer service, short staff need more workers at this location

Amazing staff, quality care, and phenomenal customer service

1. Payment amounts are terribly low! Given that each unit collected can be valued at over $2,000 - $3,000, or more, the payment to donors is ridiculously low. The ?Rewards Program? also provides little to no incentive to return donors! 2. Staff, for the most part, have recently been great. Policy?s and protocols need to be revised. If one fails due to bruising at the site on the arm due to previous donation it is understood that the donor needs to have bruise(s) heal prior to donation upon inspection by y

Horrible experience I was deferred for 56 days from donating because an employee didn't do their job right asked to speak with a ?manager? to get further details and right away with a smirk and talking to me like I'm beneath him

The wait time in this place has become ridiculous. I was there for 5 hours! 5! There was one person screening, 2 people then 3 on the floor, there were 2 gentlemen there in office looked like one was training. I understand your facility is busy but there needs to be a better system. You all only had one section open and 3 people working. You need to hire more help or get better management. Someone in charge needs to address this issue immediately and get this facility up to par. Many time the employees are

I do like this place and they have been great but I'm not happy with there rewards for points in donating it makes no since 1000 points for a 5$ gift card and 5000 points for a 10$ gift card and really on top of that there should be a choice to redeem as USD to add to your payment card like others do? I don't have much need for small gift cards and adding 5 or 10 USD to maybe what I already reviewed from donating would be way more beneficial I know most everyone feels the same way! Other then that the cen

Below are the updated donor fees. Also it is very cold in the back where you donate so bring a jacket with you if you can! Edit: There were 5 workers standing up front talking amongst each other while a long line of donors filled the building. This lasted for almost 30 minutes. There was hardly a sense of awareness shown in the medical screeners today. There was a new worker being trained, but it seemed like it consisted of very sub-par explanations throughout the entirety of the screening process. T

Very clean &staff are really nice people will be going again:)

They don't understand the meaning of make it tight! Every time these is how I leave!

I like coming to octapharma when the bald guy is here he makes my donation quick and easy! But on Wednesday night they have the Golden Girls working the floor so be prepared to wait! Unless the bald man is here, he is on top of it! But if the Golden Girls are there your screwed!

I think this plasma center is great. Currently their staff seems to be short handed but their attitudes are great, I See smiles all around and even though it gets overwhelming at times, ( for the donors and employees ), The Staff here are amazing and very positive.

Friendly great experience staff, but the weight is too long. They need more experience workers their short staff.

For being a new donor get nervous. Everything went smooth as far as the registration vials I was very pleased with the staff they were very nice and patient with me I will be returning. I am considered a regular now. The staff is very friendly and professional thank you octapharma

Jennifer was very knowledgeable and friendly. Made the process easy and comfortable. Answered all my questions and did not rush me. She deserves acknowledgement for her great job

They're so slow idk if it's on purpose of the way they organize but expect every time you visit to take half your day. It's annoyingly frustrating to see them so backed up and have two rolls of machines not being used cause they can only watch 3 people. Anywhere else in San Antonio they have them watching 6 folks but they're all special here they can only watch 3

They are so slow here and the workers talk too much

The staff is ok, the only thing is the long wait time to get screened and get bed for you to donate. Spend 3hrs hours just waiting in general ain't right, and kind of bad that you can end up falling asleep before you even get a bed to donate.

It kind of took long but I understand it's a longer process being a New Donor . The staff was really nice !

Never going back??. after seeing the worst behavior from the manager today over someone playing music. dealing and talking to people the right way is the most important thing in the world. I've never seen anybody act so ridiculous for the people in the office that work there shame on you for not telling your staff that they're in the wrong for continuously trying to egg on of the donors. From my personal experience, I have seen the manager there treat people any kind of way. I stopped going there a year ago

I am a regular return donor some days are busier than others. They try their best with the staff they have. They are polite even when they are very busy. Most are friendly and funny! My favorites are, both Maddie's, Leslie, and the best is Joel!!

Although the staff here isn't chatting with donors, they're slow... I've seen the other centers tend to more donors with less staff... I was in line since around 1:45 and at 4:20 I was still waiting to donate

The staff were rude all except for the physician who gave me an exam

Staff I very friendly and skillfull

I have been using this plasma center for some time now. I have been to a few, and honestly preferred this location. The last month and a half have been incredibly unpleasant though. Open at 7 and by 730 the lines are long and the wait after initial processing is taking hours. There are, I believe 48, beds in this location. To consistently have 30-40 individuals before an hour of business is open and only staffing enough employees to run 12-18 beds until after noon is creating an average time of 3-4 hou

Very professional I always get treated with respect and kindness

For new donors. It goes really smooth only 2 to 3 hours. Shout out Shyy great phlobotomist. Just met her today, felt nothing when she inserted the needle. Professional and quick

Omggggg. Why is the service so slow. Everyone is nice but geeeeez. New donor has to wait at least 2hrs and there is no one in front of me. Then you have to wait in back and they have 3 workers for the whole morning when they know it'll be busy. Everyone standing around doing nothing. Slooooowest service ever. It's ridiculous. A donation shouldn't take more than 1hr 30 min. I've been here 2hrs and it's my 2nd visit. My husband first time visit and 2hrs and has only seen the video. Edit..took us a total of 4

I love the place and workers there but my husband hates it cuz the service is slow and he hates that he thinks the service sucks and needs to step it and some of the workers need to work more than talk

The employees are great, but they are so understaffed that I literally spend anywhere from 2-5 hours here each time I go. The lines are always long and there is rarely ever more than 1-2 people screening. They don't have enough employees to open up more than 2 bays at a time as well so depending on how fast each person donates, you are there for a good while waiting. The pay is more than any other plasma place I have heard of. I would rate it 5 stars if they had more staff to help fast track the donation pr

The most unprofessional staff I've ever experienced! They were so classless. They were acting as if they were in High School. It all started when I took my daughter there to donate plasma and they did not inform her. It would be very cold in there. As I went back to take my daughter a sweater and some socks, I had my grandson with me, not knowing there were no children allowed in the building. I ended up getting into an argument with the manager who acted like he knew everything and there's another employee

Video says two hours, but I was there for 4 and a half. I'm a healthy individual with very very vascular vain?s yet they couldn't get the cuff to work to see any. Was poked in both arms and sat on the machine for an hour and a half, when it takes 45 mins. Luckily they paid me the full amount even thou I got to 63%. Apparently I drink too much milk and no where does I say any info on diet. Google the places rush hours and you may have better luck than me.

This location is amazing and the staff is the most attentive group of professionals, that I've ever had the pleasure of donating with! Thank you for all your hard work "Team Octapharm", these funds I receive through you all have been helping me so much along with my wife and kids. I've been struggling to find work since I completing my last contract two months back and what you great people provide ,helps me to provide. ???? The biggest bonus is knowing that my deposit is going towards saving lives and prog

Best clinic I have been to. Unfortunately, my 2nd time going was denied eligibility because of an endoscopy I had recently. This is quit possibly the quickest clinic I've ever been to. All associates super friendly. If I had a better memory I'd call them out by name. Amazing place will be back after my deferral is over.

Nice clean place , team there is decent. Main reason I'm giving it a 1 star is because the time you're there to donate is ridicules. They only have 1 person screening and 2 people on the floor , while there's a line going all the way to the door.

very nice staff, my absolute favorite was jennifer, SUPER sweet, good at what she does, fast and efficient and just overall just an enjoyable person to be around. She deserves a raise!

Honestly, Janet has been there Forever we love her me and my husband have donated for years at this Location Leo is Another one of my favorite he is Awesome !!! I liked the center better about a year tbh. Vero is a fabulous phlebotomist !!!! A lot of things have changed and I'm not sure how much besides the employees and I'm not sure it's for the better even some of the people that work there have developed attitudes. I have loved the center since I moved to San Antonio from California. But the people and t

They would be great if there were not the slowest place ever, they will have two tools of machines empty, people waiting in longs lines and not do anything to open speed up the process

Very nice staff good hospitality !

I could go into great detail about my visit, but here is the jist - Check in was great, Jennifer and a new worker with round glasses, were amazing. Also the employee of the month was great (idr his name, he had 2 nose piercings). The actual donation is where it took a turn.. Josh, sucks. Big time. Needs training on inserting the needle. And getting a sense of humor. Madison could be great, has a ton of potential, she needs to learn better customer service.. like not blaming the first time ever donor patie

Jennifer G was so amazing she was on task made sure my welcome was good and all my questions were answered to the best of her ability. Love her work ethic

Ceasar Ochoa was the staff member that helped me my first day donating.....he was professional, courteous ,helpful, and extremely patient in answering my questions. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you sir, you were a positive reflection of your company. I'm on my third visit today and the rest of the staff here has measured up to the bar he set. Thank You Octapharma.....

It is by far the slowest center I have ever been to. Only if you are a new first time donor do you move quickly. There was no line in front I pass to go to the back and there is 8ppl waiting to get a bed. Sat for over an hour only 1 name was called other then new donors. 1 lady employee walking around back in forth in her section not doing anything. They have some of the nastiest donors come in and you can clearly tell they are homeless and drug addicts. Only reason this place gets 2 stars is the cleaning l

Great ppl they treat you with respect

Came in on 07/03/24 and I had the worst person poking me, I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but she didn't even bother to check where my vein was and assumed where my scar was and when she poked wrong, she didn't admit but rather moved the needle without telling me and I proceeded to tell her stop and she moved the needle again when she finally heard me urging her to stop and she did, I've been coming here for a while and yes, I've been poked wrong before but I've never had pain like this bef

There were some things that did concern me in regards to the gentleman taking vitals. Are they supposed to change out the gloves after each person, don't get me wrong the majority of the employees are great but not all of them. But I think what really sux about the whole thing is the pay. I hadn't been there for a couple of months so I only received $40 so the drive to get there wasn't worth it.

Very professional and a nice staff!

I enjoy coming to this place, great team they have, positive attitude, clean environment, socializing with everyone makes you feel welcomed, good job keep it up

Super nice staff very professional establishment if u want to help doctors and over people or just need quick buck most definitely try here 10/10

The techs help you to feel comfortable. I wish they would out the volume back on the TV to better enjoy the service or supply headphone for each bay?

They messed up both of my arms bruised then then gave me nothing SMH there fault not mine ??

Have been coming here for almost two years. Pay has lowered twice. Wait time is 4 hours because they are so short staffed. This location has become so ridiculous. Currently looking for elsewhere to go. This location needs to do better.

I definitely would like to share that this location here in the south side of zarzamora and staff members have made this very comfortable and a safe zone , They were very kind, very professional and explained & answered any questions that I had regarding my plasma donation or any other question. I would definitely recommend my family and friends and community to come donate to this location. Thank you and God bless. Best Regards, M.L JR ???

This place is a joke, everyone stands around, no sense of urgency. Only if they'd work the way they do when corporate is in the building. This place needs to be audited alot more to get these people on the ball. Managers are also no help to the slow service. Coming back after a year and same service, but worse, short staffed with no sense of urgency and no attempts by management to change that. All these positive reviews have to be made up by fake accounts. Get your new donor fees and don't return.

Lately I been getting stick twice and my left arm been getting bruised up were I can't use it. I don't understand you guy's used to be so good now it seems like you all don't care anymore. Makes me feel like I should go to a different place. And I'm talking about the Octa on Zarzamora.

Amazing staff and management I can't point nothing bad with this plama center, the plasma center is very clean staff here are so friendly, professional and helpful I mean give this place a two thumbs up keep up the good work and thank you Octapharma

I was selling my blood for over 4 and a half hours and they did nothing to compensate me more for the insane amount of time I was there and the manager said it had nothing to do with them or their equipment it was my fault and I should've done better I'd give them zero stars if I could only go here if you're a new donor it's not worth it afterwards you only get $40 per visit

The staff is always friendly which is the better part but the wait times are insane. Almost 3 hours. If scheduling was better it would be smoother. 3 people on the floor on busy days and 6 people on slow days is crazy. If the wait times were less then it would be better.

Coming from a first time donor. The establishment was clean and everything was in order. The whole process from registering to the end, took me right at 2hrs. Had interactions with many different employees, all handled themselves professionally and were courteous. While you wait for the next step, download the app and have the info filled out. Once you're physically registered, all ya have to do is press enter. Bring headphones to pass the time as you donate...

They have almost 5 windows to get started when we're making lines outside from 6am you can see them talking rather then working! Out of the 5 windows they only have two open how are they trying to get things done like that! On top of everything they want to give me only 45$ for not bring consistent! I would be if the experience was better! They do more talking than working! It's not worth me donating for just 45 when I have to be there for almost 3 hours !

On a busy Saturday they have 1 person screening. The line was to the door. There were two guys just talking in the office behind the screener. There were also ladies in the office across from the screening area just chit chatting with no regards for the hours we had to stand in line.

More staff to get 5 stars

This place is way understaffed and know it. Ridiculous amount of time to donate. They are giving octapharma a really bad name. Then they took a blood sample to run test and I wasn't able to donate for 2 weeks because they didn't have the results back. Ridiculous!

I've only gone 10 times..and every time I've gone most of them have a smile on and ask about ur day.they are short staffed but they make it work.

My experience at Octapharma was orchestrated professionally with attendees willing and able to fulfill every question and needs, I myself was very satisfied with the service they provide .

I was here for five hours I was a new donor so after my test they said I can skip the wait line because I'm a new donor they still had me wait a huge line I saw two big groups of patients go in front of me so much for the New donors skip the line policy once they finally got to me the first lady couldn't find my veins so she went to call another employee the second employee kept saying she found my vein and proceeded to stick me with the needle she couldn't find it and kept fishing for it after a second att

Awesome job very thorough with the procedures plus explaining everything and answer all my questions.

THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Kaylin was very nice and caring we made each other laugh I think it was a start of something real hopefully next time I get her number. Ps she's the most beautiful worker there

Not very attentive when I needed help. Please be aware for yourself and report anything if you see the machine light go off. They are not monitoring very well. Speak loudly so they can pay attention to you. I feel they blamed me for being dehydrated ect. Not that they moved the needle twice and didn't get my vein the first time. be safe

Employees are kind and helpful, one in particular Linda works up front and is absolutely wonderful. She is always moving quickly helping the line move along so we can get to the back sooner. She kindly reminds us to eat right and drink plenty of water!

BAD EXPERIENCE GIRL PUT NEEDLE IT HURT BADLY WHILE PUMPING HAND GOT SHIVERS ALL OVER BADY NAUSEA AND WHEN I GOT HOME I WAS VERY SICK I PASSED OUT IN FRONT OF MY 9 YR OLD AND I TREW UP ALL NIGHT UNTIL 4:30 PM THE NEXT DAY.

Nice and clean facility with friendly staff but other than that be prepared to wait 3-5 hours per donation with slow/outdated screening process

I was truly impressed with the Southside location. The facility was on point. Major kuddos to the staff that assisted me on Monday as well as today. Everyone was pleasant and most of all they followed all the rules and remained in compliance. The nurse Lisa should be promoted to a director position and the supervisor Lisa deserves a chance to move into a nurse role. Don't EVER hold someone down because "you can't afford to loose them on the floor". ??

These workers move slower than fast food workers and their job doesn't require intense labor. Despite the fact that they are short handed at time they movie with no sense of urgency. I feel like some of these workers are here to make friends instead of doing their job.

This is a good clean place. The staffing very respectful and they make you feel like family. Shout out to the staff...... keep doing what you're doing. A big thanks to Rob,Melvin, Stephanie, Krista, and I could keep going. The staff as a whole are awesome.

Everybody is helpful with me and other people too and i'm glad everything was good Keep up the good work

Biolife is the next closest donation center. Save yourself the headache with this place.

I spent 45 mins in a line with 7 other people waiting for donor screening . They had 1 person at the window for over 30'mins .

First time donating and it was great.

I do NOT recommend coming here. It looks nice and clean but they are neither of those things. Staff is NOT friendly and I often hear them gossiping loudly while people are waiting to be unhooked. Multiple times they have messed up a stick and have bruised me for 2 weeks. They have accidentally pulled out the needle while adjusting and didn't switch arms. They were chatting with another employee, not paying attention when it happened. The supervisor came over and whispered that it's fine not to switch arms w

Melissa is amazing and good at her job! She gets the stick on the first time every time!!with her in only there 20 min as opposed to an hour with others ?? but I do love donating here! Y?all have a great staff that know what they are doing!

It's my second time here and Marvin is really nice and professional. He has a light hand with the process. Sam is also another great employee. Very fast and everyone is nice. I highly recommend this place.

It may be busy and take a bit to get they the long line but it's worth the wait. The employees are s?per Nice and vey attentive. Lots of recieving faces and smile relaxed atmosphere and they have always treated me well. The process is pretty fast and i have no complaints keep it you all are doing great.i have recommended My family and friends

To be honest the mornings are rough. There always under staffed an it's crazy cuz they already cut the pay down 2x already. Pretty soon we're gonna get nothing. Use the money for more staff at least. Make this all make sense. Kind of the worse place to be at. I came in at 8am. I didn't leave till 3 pm. Get it together already. Yah we're there we just donate. Us as donors don't have to be there a full shift. Help this make sense.

Being a first timer I was nervous, but everyone welcomed me with a either a smile or a hello. The staff here seems friendly, but the two workers who helped my mind at ease was josh and Zelda. Very kind when talking me through the process & making me feel more comfortable. Thank you all for what you do!

Very nice employees, all are welcoming and polite. Stephanie is the best screener! Super funny but always gets the work done alone or not (most of the time she's alone). The best pokers are Rocky, Melissa, and Lisa they are super gentle.

My experience there was great all the employees were well informed on the whole process but one employee stood out Anna Rodriguez she was professional but friendly at the same time she is what really made me comfortable I am a new donorI will definitely be going back????

Machine broke and was deffered 56 days

They were a little understaffed but very attentive, good experience even though I was not able to donate ( low iron levels) .

Think about it ??? They got u sitting down on 100s dollars recliners, right in front of this huge massive tvs that hangs from ceiling,:&then the A/C blowing 65degree??? What else more could I possibly want or ask,But if u ask me? Feels like HOME to me and way better Second review Very clean and staff is at very fast pace! Great customer service

Understaffed and the employees they do have are too busy talking and playing around to help the people in line. At the front, they are always talking and walking away. They help one person, walk away and talk and ignore the line. The person that does the work ups for the new donors are distracting the ones doing the vidals, bc they don't have anything to do. At least that's what it looks like. They should help the donors in line. Management sees the line and don't bother to come out of the room to see w

Very well professionalism and teamwork all around. The phlebotomist was always very informative. Screener was always joyful and polite. Thanks guys.

This is my second time coming here and it was fast and the people are friendly and nice I appreciate all the help and knowledge y'all have given me about my blood and how it will be helping other ppl in the world ?? God bless yall

Employees are always complaining about other employees and of management employees talk to much Medical exam not enough employee there when line are long employees poke you wrong and leave you with a bruise arm to many employees call in and manager never come out to help extremely bad service employees not happy working there

Alyssa has great customer service my first day and she made me feel comfortable and was very careful and polite and quick checking my vitals gave me great information..and Jennifer doing my physical made me feel great .great customer service

I would never ever recommend this place for several reasons. I went there twice as a new donor and both times they missed my vein leaving me bruised and deferred for several weeks. Never again. A word to the wise, Stay away!!!

They are super un organized.. got here at 7am and now it is 9:48 am and still in line just to get checked in they need to have the supervisors come out and help get people processed or they need to go by appointments if they do not have enough staff

It's a lil slow at some times,but all in all,great people,great place.

It's great here vary friendly Always professional????????

I've only been here a couple of times but every time I'm here all the employees and staff are very friendly and nice I understand at the moment everybody is shortstaffed but the staff that do show up work very hard and diligently. I would recommend this place to anybody who is giving plasma yes the wait time is a while but with the environment and informative staff. They make it so easy (:

Octapharma is a great place to donate clean place friendly staff

I absolutely love it here, the employees are awesome and make you feel so comfortable and Lisa is the best. I've been to several plasma centers over the year's but this one here makes you feel welcomed and that's a huge plus for me. Keep up the good work guys!!! ????

This place takes their time. It takes about three hours with each donation. Yet they advertise it for 1 to 1/2 hours. That is a lie my first donation took 4 hours. They skip people. There is no communication and everyone takes a break around same time, leaving no one to get you hooked on a bed you wait over an hour just to get a chair. Ridiculous.

I got to this location at 1pm and waited in the lobby with one other person, I didnt get a bed until 2:pm and now its 2:45...I'm still waiting. I asked the manager why I had to wait so long and why so many people were going ahead of me and she told me that those people left 5 star ratings on google review....wow. smh. This location is a joke and doesn't deserve any of the fake 5 star reviews they've gotten and I'm looking into a lawsuit because it cant be legal how they are going about getting 5 star review

The staff is really nice. The wait time to donate is ridiculous. This location is short handed and in need of more employees. Please hire more staff. The machines to donate need updating. This location is in need of a new director!

After doing my research in donation centers. I decided to go with Ocatpharma at this location, the staff is great and friendly, and know their clients on a first name basis. Marvin makes the experience very comfortable. The manager, David, is not afraid to jump in and help his staff when needed. I've been donating for about 6 months and highly recommend this location.

Everytime I come here I have to wait FOREVER(always over an hour and has been up to 2 hours) to even begin the donation process, which would be less annoying if there wasn't ALWAYS a bunch of employees always just standing around doing nothing ALL the time. I get places are understaffed but your employees should be working when they are there. Definitely recommend going anywhere else.

I got here at 9:50 finally got screened at 11:28 told me I needed a serum what ever that means ???????!! They sat me in front waited another 10min to be called that everything is okay go wait to be call in back ( another 10 min wasted)!! It's 11:39pm and we are 18 ppl waiting to be seated !! I'll be lucky if im out of here by 2pm !! 5 hrs for a return donor is FREAKING RIDICULOUS!! So you know that first time donors you'll be here at least 10 freaking HOURS !! Zarzamora location is Worst PLACE EVER!! Extrem

My experience was not good experience I believe need more experience after donating I always finish in 33-37 min I took 1 hr someone with perfect veins to be adjusted 4 x was not good experience

Great staff, easy process. Everyone is so friendly and caring. Great pay compared to other places I've donated at in the past. Be prepared for a long wait if you come during the holiday season though, otherwise I'm usually in and out in under 2 hours!

The staff are very kind and helpful with any questions you might have about the process. Ariel did my vitals check and was extremely kind, efficient, and hard working. The phlebotomist are excellent and careful with everything they do!

Easy In-N-Out process

Not at all pleased with the location anymore....besides waiting for over 3 hours just to be called had to wait additional hour to be connected to machine, place is always short of staff, no longer accepting speed pass, and to make things worse did not get paid until following day. Management is not good. Had to pick one star to post but would not rate 1 star...feel sorry for staff that actually shows up to work

this was my first time here even though I didn't get to donate yet the staff here are so professional and have great customer service they are so friendly made me want to come back thank you for making it so easy for me

Very clean and good service. The staff was very good and explained everything through the whole process. They answered any questions I had. The staff is very welcoming.

Its been 8 months since I have donated and I am very happy with my return. Stephanie and Clara are the ones who helped me get started and made sure I was comfortable and updated me on the process. This is a great location to donate because these ladies know what they are doing and are really professional. ???

Jessica so amazing, she professional and makes my day 10 times better?. She efficient in a timely matter and get line moving !! She brings a happy atmosphere to octapharma !! You need more employees like her.

I don't like this donation center because the line is always long and not enough employees checking in donors. But the employees are very friendly, answer questions and help as much as possible. My favorite employees are Damian and Crystal they seem to be fast and efficient. They are never looking or doing stuff on their apple watch like some of the other employees

Honestly I hadn't gone in a while cause before Service wasn't priority I even gave you guys the benefit of the doubt cause yall we're new but heck no but I've been coming now for about 2 months and let me tell you you guy's are awesome I don't have to drive half way across town anymore I'd recommend anyone to octapharma you guys are a 5 stare plasma center in my book thank you

The staff here is so friendly and they get me in and out quickly. Zaira is my favorite. She has always made me feel comfortable. I go as soon as they open and I'm out in about an hour.

Honestly i was scared never donated but now im glad i did and are able to help other people and i will for sure come back

Very long wait times to get hooked up to the machine, unprepared machines without preparation and therefore makes the wait time longer because the phlebotomist is looking up other donors while 10 others are waiting. Preparation and structural changes should be reinforced.

Very friendly and polite they also take care of any needs you may have before during and after David c. Is really nice as well the employees like to have fun as well as take care of business. There very helpful. And they always ask if you're ok and if you need anything even after your done with donating. I asked for a Gatorade and they gave me one. I would definitely recommend a friend..My girlfriend goes and she referred me there bonuses are good as well.

The staff is extremely friendly and Sam is a great phlebotomist she is always friendly and smiling. Sergio is always so talkative and friendly to his customers I feel very welcomed here.

It's has been a great place and very professional. The check in is quick and they have been very polite with me. Always has been a smooth stick and the process of donation is fast. Staff is courteous and professional and they always seem to have a clean environment. Greatest experience

Amazing Donation Center! Management increased staff to accommodate traffic as it picked up to decrease long wait times. From the time I walk in the door to the time I walk out of it every staff member I encounter is welcoming friendly and polite. Ericka Zaida Gabe Marvin Henry Monica I live closer to the NW loop location but I prefer to come to the Zarzamora location

The hosts are really pros. They work good in crucial situations and very polite. They make me feel comfy.

Highly recommend Octapharma, staff is very nice and they're always trying to get us to a bed and off of one quickly. Stephanie is my all time favorite!!! ?? her energy is always on a 100 even when she's called in at 6 am ;) lol she's amazing & be sure to remind her that when she's checking your vitals ???????? love you girl

I got the best service I could ever ask for from Stephanie garay. She is so nice and kind-hearted doing her job. If there were more like her it would be a better place in this world.

Ashley did my physical and it was surprisingly very enjoyable. I was very comfortable and she made everything easy and fast. All the staff up front were welcoming and kind. I look forward to doing all my donations at octapharma. ????

Love this plasma center , wait is fast , customer service is good and phlebotomists know what they are doing. Destiny was fast and painless to check if protein was good

God only is the staff friendly. My last experience was exceptional. I was in and out in 46 minutes.

If I could leave 0 starts I would. This location HAS TO BE THE WORST LOCATION!!!! I'm sorry I get that they are short staffed but all you hear are the employees complaining about locking the doors and how they don't want to be there. I told the lady that the cuff was too tight and she literally told me it wasn't. Umm excuse me is it on your arm or mine? The wait is rediculous! On top of that they told me they weren't sure if I was going to get paid ?? Like it doesn't tell you on the screen. They need to ser

I remember when I would go in they would be on point taking turns one return doner one express now they get just do all express something don't even check when we are waiting in line to get checked in and in the back once in the back this last time they took 20mins to hook me up to the machine I asked why they are taking so long she didn't answer me left and left me wait like 5-7more mins so I don't know what happened but it use to be in and out that's why I loved it there and u still love it but they take

Always nice staff and very clean facility but the screening lines are ridiculous. I wait up to an hour just for the screening. And I was 10th in line.Only one person working the front even though lines are long. Had to leave twice this week because the time it would take to donate was way too long.

The employees are awesome, management needs to be changed immediately

I really enjoy coming here out of all the plasma centers. I enjoy the customer service and I love the staff, always so efficient whether they are short staffed or not. NW Loop 410 is the best and fastest location. I recommend Octapharma.

Never enough employees taking vitals . You have to wait an hour or two just to find out if u passed to Why isn't there ever enough employees to take vitals? Y'all have 5 booths and only 1 maybe 2employees .if we're lucky we have to wait An HR to 3 hrs in line! It's ridiculous. I've been coming to this center for a little over a year .it's the same since then.maybe get a new manager .that can keep employees at this center .or cross train. Your people so they can help where help is needed .most of the time y'

Everyone was so nice and my wait was no too long as it is a busy location.

I really like this plasma center. I have went to several different centers and this one is my favorite so far. It's not the fastest but the staff are so kind and never rude at all. I have had some bad experiences at other centers but not one bad experience or near bad experience here. The staff have great attitudes and the center is super clean.

very great staff and experience here not gona lie was nervous but it was not bad at all

Worth the wait? Smh I think not. This place is horrible!! Staff seems lazy and do not put effort in what they're here to do smh. The line is long and it's the worst having to wait when you seem to have enough staff at hand. How is this place still in business. Not even worth one star.

Been waiting here a good 2.5 hour's and the manager yelled at me to "either sit and wait, or leave" after a good 8 mile hike here due to my personal situation. I have been tested to my limits today!!! I hope that I don't have to come here again.

Went and gave my second donation and it was a breeze got checked in and got seated really fast best place to give plasma top 10 wasn't even crowded.

I'm going to leave them with 2 stars. At first is was going good but every time I came back it gets worse and worse. They're never staffed up front and people stand for long periods of time while no one is doing their job just standing around talking while people are trying to get through the day ?? SMH be PROFESSIONAL

I went in at 4pm didn't get out till 8pm they need to work on getting people out in and out they don't call people when they have chairs available and the screeners take the longest need more employees

Here's why I love this location on Zarzamora. Ms.Erica has always been friendly, kind, patient, and most importantly PROFESSIONAL. Thank you so much for always making our visit, a good one.

ZARZAMORA CENTER I would love to give ZERO stars. The WORST plasma donation facility in the city. If you have all day to stand in line and then sit and wait for an hour to be called and then wait another hour to actually get poked, then this is the place for you. It's the management. The facility is perpetually understaffed. The employees try their best to do their jobs and they are very overworked and underpaid. Avoid the stress and heartache and just go to a different facility.

SMALL! felt like a sardine can in this location. Short staffed and you can really sense the pressure the few employees are experiencing because of this. Over filled trash cans at donation stations if items fall out of these cans they pick them up and place in trash cans and do not change gloves. Outside of this donation process is very similar to other locations.

Great, fast check-in experience and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have a couple of my personal favorites but they are all great!!! Would highly recommend..

I love Linda. She's sweet & always puts up a good conversation. She treat me like my momma ?? & To edit Sean made me bleed my first time donating here but he was cool. Lil problem child ??

The pay is great so far. The time is long. I can only go Monday and Wednesday after work and they only have 2 people sticking and it makes the process a longer than I'm use to. The staff is very friendly. I'm still new so excited to see how bonuses work.
